Alastair’s Curly Hair (Modern AU Headcanon)

The only reason this is Modern AU is because I don’t think hair straighteners existed in the early 1900s, the best I think he could do was attempt to slick it back straight with product

Alastair’s hair is naturally curly but we obviously already knew that *looks at title of the headcanon*

He’s always had a love-hate relationship with his hair, both the color and style

So before he dyed his hair blond, he started to straighten his hair

He started straightening it sometime after he started school because it was easier to deal with than having to style it every morning

Even after he started to dye his hair black again, Alastair continued to straighten his hair

The only people who really know his hair is curly are; Cordelia, Sona, and Risa

Alastair starts dating Thomas and Thomas is unaware of Alastair’s naturally curly hair, he just thinks it’s wavy like Cordelia’s and that’s why he straightens it

Until one day

Thomas stayed over at Alastair’s flat one night and that’s how he found out

Alastair had woken up before Thomas and decided to take a shower

He expected to be done before Thomas woke up so he could get his hair done, make breakfast, etc.

Thomas ends up waking up before Alastair is out of the shower and he goes into the kitchen to make coffee

Alastair walks in, dressed, his hair all wet and sticking to his face

Thomas turns to say good morning to his boyfriend

And he is shook by what he sees

His boyfriend? Has? Curly hair?

How come he didn’t know this???

Like he just stands there, blue-screening for at least a minute because Alastair’s hair is so pretty

It was pretty before, but now

He looked so good

Alastair is nervous for a second because what if Thomas doesn’t like his natural hair?

Ch*rles sure as hell didn’t

But Thomas wasn’t Ch*rles so he had nothing to worry about

Thomas snaps out of it after a minute or two

Needless to say, he loves Alastair’s hair

And Alastair slowly stops straightening his hair

What does it mean to join the tsc authors net? I write fics but I've never written for tsc, even though I love the fandom and I've been having really bad writer's block for the past few months, do I need to write fics as a part of the net?
