Yes! SPOILERS FOR TO HONOR AND PROTECT AHEAD: 

SO when I was first writing THP, I was doing it at the same time as Summoning Circle. I’d previously had a thought in SC that I wanted to reference how or why the Mitsus came to be demons and I’d bandied about the idea that maybe, once upon a time, they were humans. You can see me reference this once or twice. I ultimately discarded it.

Well, I’d originally planned on making it so that Mitsun did not have the ending he had–instead he died, and the Princess of THP brought him back and basically transformed him into a demon. When she died, he lost his mind steadily without her. Ultimately I discarded this idea because the MC of THP was the first overtly black MC I’d had, and I questioned my reasons for waiting until then to have something truly tragic happen and then have her be forgotten.
