okay so the email sam got last week from jon contained a name and an address.

and in todays ep they visited gerry and gertrude. that's clearly who the email meant.

which maybe indicates that jon still has some eye powers because he knows that they exist and where they live (or maybe that information is just in the aor severs, idk)

but still he recognizes them, he's trying to comunícate.

still, this means funky stuff still happened with gertrude and the institute and gerry's parent cause why would he be living with her otherwise (and calling her his grandma)?

After this episode (ep8) I just want to let everyone know that from the start I called bullshit on the whole "tmagp is a spinoff and you don't need to have listened to tma to get the story" deal they were trying to push.

Not because they wouldn't dare make a spinoff that doesn't tie into tma, but because the Magnus Archives was labeled as an anthology series on Spotify. And I will not be deceived again.

Happy Thursday everyone, I know there's no ep this week so I'm gonna take the opportunity to share my theory with the class.

My friend and I have been calling it the "fear smoothie" theory, and I believe that our encounters with fears consist of two or more entities working as one to create even more terrifying and horrific instances.

So during TMA we kinda caught on to the fact that each of the fears has a handful of signature tropes associated with them! (think manikins or doors, that kind of thing. Just stuff that gets the audience to catch onto who might be behind a statement) Well as I've been listening to TMAGP I've been trying to find those same tropes and I noticed something interesting. (and this is gonna be a bit long but bear with me)

In each of the eps so far I have picked up tropes from two or more of the fears working in tandem to create even more horrific situations!

How did this happen? Good question I have three equally plausible situations on why the entities are doing this.

Number 1: During the aftermath of the eyepocalypse the fears were smushed even closer together than they had been previously been, when they were forced through the hole in the universe. Therefore they are now so intrinsically close that they physically cannot work separately.

Number 2: This is web bullshit, most of the fears aren't really too conscious besides "feed" so it makes sense if the web is trying to relive what it was like in the eyepocalypse.

Number 3: The fears remember how wonderful it was when the world went wrong. They are working together because they liked it. it made them realize that their teamwork was the best way to get the most fear and by working together they are hoping to create another "Archivist" (someone touched by all of the fears) to put them back to their full power. What's the best way to do that? Make 100 avatars touched by at least 2 fears each and make them race!

EP8 Running on Empty ~ Spiral + Lonely (+ some elements of the Vast and the Flesh but not enough to officially make the board)

EP 10 Saturday Night ~ Hunt + Stranger

The Magnus Protocol Crack Theories (spoilers through ep8)

K, so I'm taking it as a given that TMAGP takes place in the parallel universe accessible from the crack in Hilltop road. Some things that this could mean:

The familiar characters in the TMAGP! work similar to how Twinners do in Stephen King's Dark Tower/The Talisman universe: They aren't just one of countless alternate universe's versions of the character, instead they are *connected* in fundamental ways to their "twinner" in another universe. There is some bleed through in the form of dreams/visions, they are sometimes able to communicate with their counterpart, and iirc one twinner dying can kill the other.

So for example: if TMAGP!Gerry&Gertrude and TMA!Gerry&Gertrude are twinners, then while they might not share exact same personality due to life experience they could still influence each other. TMA!Gertrude is "fond" of TMA!Gerry in part because she gets an echo of their twinners' relationship. Or, TMAGP!Georgie never had her encounter with an Avatar of the End, but she got an echo of it so is therefore still drawn to spooky stuff.

One theory I have is that all the "gifted kids" that The Magnus Institute(Protocol verse) tested are the twinners of Fear Avatars (or Potential Fear Avatars) in the main TMAverse, and that's specifically what they were looking for.
