So, as you know, I am watching the last episode of City of Stars and this show is just...so overwhelmingly wholesome. Every aspect about it. So I was wondering what are your top 5 wholesome shows? Or maybe top 5 shows that were surprisingly wholesome that you didn't expect to be wholesome?
Wasn't it just so amazingly wholesome and sweet and darling!? We love a good couple that communicates!

SO. My Top Five Wholesome Shows (Sometimes Unexpected)?
I can do that.
En Of Love: Tossara: Like I could leave this off the list? The show in which there was no conflict. The show in which they simply... fell in love, talked, communicated, learned to trust and be open and started dating. The softest, most wholesome show ever.
Cherry Magic, both versions but ESPECIALLY the Thai version, honestly: Both versions are very wholesome and include a lot about learning to communicate and talk and open up and trust yourself but Thailand went the extra step and just owned that lesson for both characters.
Our Dining Table: I mean, how could I leave this show off this list? It's perfect in every way and so, so wholesome and the sweetness just permeates every inch of everything with love and kindness and tenderness and learning to trust and learning to live.
What Did You Eat Yesterday? particularly the second season: Again, slice of life and filled to the brim with what happens as you age and love and find more reasons to love and more reason to live and new things in common and new ways to communicate. Absolutely lovely.
Love For Love's Sake: Like, this show has to be here. The end message? The way they fell in love? Learning to love yourself through caring for other people? Finding out that you can love your faults in others and also love them in yourself because they love them in you? Gotta be there.
The one true surprise that isn't on the list but gets mentioned anyway?
6. Big Dragon: Look, they were the most toxic boys in the damn universe but they learned to communicate and love each other and love themselves and they made it work. It was truly glorious.

2022 BL ROUNDUP PART 4
Hey y'all, I've seen everyone doing their top 22, 20, 15, 10, and 5 BLs of the year and I didn't want to do a ranking! I just want to do a quick rundown of everything I watched and how I feel about it now! This is gonna be multiple posts! But I'll post them all at the same time.
Thai BLs I've watched in 2022...the ones that weren't my favorite but weren't bad.
Enchante. 7 out of 10. I really loved Akk and Theo for most of the series but Theo took advantage of Akk a few times and he never apologized for anything he did and that annoyed me. They were super cute otherwise, we love an old childhood friends to lovers storyline. I enjoyed watching them expose the 4 horsemen ambassadors.
You're My Sky. I dropped it at first because Fah annoyed me, but he actually turned out to be very sweet. He and Thorn turned out to be cute basketball sweethearts and they were a good team. It's one of the few sports themed series I've watched and I loved that everyone played different sports. I loved Saen and Aii a ton, their relationship was lovely and Saen was the best boy. DomeVee made me mad though. Overall I did enjoy the series.
Cutie Pie the Series. I wasn't a huge fan of it overall. I didn't like all the lying between Lian and Kuea because it went on so long. Yi treated Diao like an actual child. I really enjoyed Kuea and Diao's bestiehood though and I enjoyed Jay and Poppy (can't remember his character's name lol). I liked the BounPrem cameo and I think there were some very relevant conversations had between the characters. The chemistry between both pairs was crazy good too, but now I feel weary of the type of series ZeeNuNew will be doing because that prince series feels like it's going to be similar to Cutie Pie.
The Eclipse. I've said it before but I was more interested in the activism than the romance. I really, really enjoyed all the protesting and watching this small group of characters fight against their school's rules because they were antiquated and harmful. I even enjoyed the snitch brigade as the ops, their friend group was cute. That whole part of the series was very interesting to watch and I was betting on who The Curse was. I couldn't really enjoy AyanAkk because of all their back and forth, it was too much whiplash. I really couldn't get into Thuan and Khan either, sorry.
Love Mechanics. It was a great series, but most of the characters annoyed me, except TOSSARA. No one listened to each other and there as bad communication. I wanted to fight Vee through most of the series and Mark at one point too. Yiwaa couldn't mind her own business and she was a bad friend to Vee. Nuea was very pushy with Mark even though he could tell Mark was not feeling him. Mark's dad was a jerk too. The series irked me in some parts. Again, it wasn't bad so I didn't dislike it, but it just made me mad lol.
Series I started but never got back to:
Fahlanruk. I couldn't stand Fah and how he forced his way into Sherbet's life. I heard Sherbet got really slappy towards the end too. I tried to stick around for Prince and Gear but I just couldn't, they were moving at a snail's pace.
Coffee Melody. I tried to stay for Pavel, but like gotdamn Duean Yi got really annoying. The series highkey had all the makings for a decent Coffee Shop series, but one of the mains was unlikeable and the series fell flat overall. It was boring and drawn out. Thitnuea and Jean were cute from what I saw though.
Even Sun. I blame the writers. BounPrem have natural and amazing chemistry but even that couldn't make me watch past ep 3 of Even Sun. The plot made little sense and the subs on iQiyi were really bad too. I just couldn't give it the time because I lost interest fast.
War of Y. I only watched BillySeng's story, I was never all that interested in the series to begin with and I was going to watch ToruFirst's storyline but it looked so messy.

BL- BOYS' LOVE: A SHOUT OUT for a COMING OUT
Q (KHUNAKORN SUNANTHAM aka TEE or TEEREX) realizes his love for classmate X. In this moment his friend Toy (PRAT ITTHICHAICHAROEN) reveals he's fallen for Mook and she's asked him to the award ceremony Q needed to get to beat X.
However instead Q is happy for Toy. But then he tells his best friends that he likes X. Here it allows his friends to be shocked a bit yet still allows him to be honest and allow his friends reaction. Showing sure you're allowed to be stunned by such revelation but you can in that moment realize your friend is still your friend. His sexuality doesn't change the person he is. The person you've always known. Just now he's bravely revealing more of who he is.
And then be the friends you've always been. Sure it doesn't always turn out this way in real life. But Toy and Frank (JIRAYU SAHGUANSIN aka BIGBOOM)
Note: THERE IS AN UPCOMING BL starring BIGBOOM in the lead by Rookie Thailand called Future. It is said to be a continuation of the En of Love Series (TOSSARA-LOVE MECHANICS-THIS IS LOVE STORY) Let's see if that comes to fruition.

So I've been getting into BL's a lot lately... And I just kinda need to rant a bit so if you don't wanna read it u don't have to but it's nice to write it down
I just wanna say, I'm not going to stop watching BL's cuz even if they have a bad part or something like that, there is still also a lot of good shit so yeah
ALSO THIS CONTAINS A SHIT TON OF SPOILERS OF ALL THE BL'S I'VE WATCHED SO PROCEED WITH CAUTION
(BL'S MENTIONED: HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count, TharnType, WHYRU?, 2fether the series, My Engineer, YYY the series, en of love: tossara, love by chance & dark blue kiss)
First of I'd like to say fuck you to the last ep of the show I just watched (HIStory: Make Our Days Count). Fuck you for letting us believe that they finally got what they had been fighting so fucking hard for since episode 2 only to rip it our of our hands with the last episode by killing of 1 of the main characters. Killing him wasn't even that good for the storyline, before the show had such moving messages and now it just had 'life sucks and everyone you love dies'.
Because of this I will be ignoring the last episode and they will have had the happy ending they deserve in my mind.
Then I'd like to ask you to stop torturing and killing our fucking LGBTQIA+ REP. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND A SOLID NON TOXIC GAY RELATIONSHIP IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN BL'S?! Well, really fucking hard. Every gay in non-bl shows either gets killed, their partner gets killed or they end up in a weird and not really ok relationship with the partner.
The show I just talked about: killed one off, do I really need to say more
TharnType: Type was molested as a child and Tharn befriended a psychopath who is the cause of all of his heartbreaks. And Type needs to break Tharn's heart to save him from said psychopath and the whole experience def leaves them with PTSD. Also said psychopath set up Tharn's previous boyfriend (the one before Type) up to be gang raped by 3 older men, filmed this all, made it look consensual due to drugging the boy and then using the film to blackmail said boy into breaking up with Tharn and into helping said psychopath drive Tharn and Type apart. Resulting in a heartbreak that shook Tharn to the core and I think the whole ass fucking fandom can argue it might have made him suicidal if he didn't find out why Type broke up with him.
WHYRU?: The whole Fighter thing I have talked about before which was fully out of character and we never got him apologizing to Tutor for basically asulting him and almost raping him. Also, Fighter stands up to his homophobic dad once and suddenly his dad does a full 180 and supports his son's relationship, cute try but no, not how it works.
My Engineer: my fluffy boys Ram and King are hopefully, since the show has 3 more eps left, in good hands. But as soon as Duen and Bohn got the labels bf/bf the writers just kinda pushed them to the side. Resulting in Duen being a boyfriend that pulls away from everything and seems to be more into a friendship than a relationship, and into a Bohn that can't take a no and let's his emotions have the best of him. Mostly anger and jealousy. Writers please take care of my sons will you, damn it.
Love By Chance: I hope to dear god that season 2 is better than season 1 because season 1 had a shit ton of flakey or just no consent. AND. CONSENT. IS. FUCKING. IMPORTANT. UNDERSTAND. THAT. PLS. But, besides the small consent issue it's a great show. Too bad that one of the characters has to be blackmailed by a duck who wants to out him to his mom. Let's all sign a petition to put Trump down. Yes, Trump like president Trump, just not the same person. ~only the same dick personality~
Dark Blue Kiss: I love this show and the Kao/Pete pairing but I'd like Non to just fuck off. Although he did make the story line so I guess he was needed, which is the only reason I tolerate him. Still want to stab him, and want more domestic and cute Kao/Pete
En of love: tossara and 2gether the series: are one of the only shows that haven't mayorly fucked up. Although 2gether could have used some more romantic scenes/kisses in the end but eh.
YYY:The Series: only has 3 eps yet and I can't decide if the story line will fuck me over or not. What I do know is that it's full of meme references and that the writers definitely did drugs, makes it all the more gold tho
So in conclusion. I want western TV to stop queer baring me. And I want all of the TV to stop killing and torturing the characters, unless it's plot driven. Such as in DBK and TT. Although TT should chill...

5 BL Male Characters I Love
Ooooooh, another challenge! I was tagged by @whyamistillwatchingtheseshows! Let’s do this <3
1.) Ram from My Engineer. Ever since I first watched the series, the way Ram was attracted me to him and King. He reminds me a lot like myself with the selective mutism and his love of dogs (in my case, cats). Even though he’s quiet, it’s obvious he has a big heart and once someone proves to him that they truly want to be his friend or be in his life, he’s really sweet and caring towards them. The RamKing couple won my heart from day one <3
2.) Pharm from Until We Meet Again! He’s just so adorable and like, purely amazing. The love he and Dean have is so freaking pure and their relationship is literally built on love, respect and consent. And speaking of consent, I love a character who doesn’t stay quiet when their lover is doing something that makes them uncomfortable. The way he told Dean that he didn’t like what he did and handled it like an adult just made me extremely happy! His character is a breath of fresh air in all the bl shows I’ve watched!
3.) Mork from Dark Blue Kiss! Look, yes he got into a lot of trouble with all the fights, but even I know those fights were for protecting the ones he loves and/or cares about. Just knowing that he is actually a really sweet person who gets shy very easily is just so freaking adorable and a total game changer. Not to mention he plays Pokemon Go XD I love Pokemon so he gets a check on my board for a favorite character hehe
4.) Sarawut aka Bar from En Of Love: Tossara! Even though the series was short and moved on quickly, Gun held a special place in my heart because of how they paced out his character. Even though Gun loved him for a long time, they didn’t make Bar fall for him right away. They spaced it out perfectly and made him fall for Gun slowly. Near the end of the series, it was clear about how much his character had developed and how much he changed from shying away from Gun’s love to embracing it and even returning it. Folk did a really great job acting as Bar and I hope I get to see him again in future bl series.
5.) Last but not least, Type from TharnType! Of course I had to go for Type XD but his character development and how he worked on his past traumas throughout the show is really important to me. Having my own traumas, I understand why Type acted the way he did and just...it is hard, but I was glad that no matter what he said to Tharn, Tharn never left him and tried everything he could to help make Type a better person. Even if it was kinda choppy at first, it worked and now Type is the person I knew he would be because he got through all the hardships. I cannot wait to see how different he is when the second season comes out <3 I heard he was going to be softer than he was in the first season, so let’s see how that goes hehe

“ I am not the garbage for this trashcan” is a very profound statement. Honestly, I feel like that’s such a good thought process that we’ve kind of lost. I hope TharnType grows on you so that you don’t have to be miserable watching it. But also, if it’s not ur trashcan, then it’s not ur trashcan. There’s al many other trashcans in the landfill.
Yes, exactly! I am absolutely trash. I love plenty of dumpster fires. But I definitely have a type of dumpster fire.
So far, Tharntype has... not. Not at all. It is not my trash.
Will I keep trying? Maybe? I made it to episode 4. I'll probably watch at least a few more episodes.
But it's really not for me. I am starting to like Type but Tharn is the kind of cocky I don't enjoy, none of the side character work for me well enough (besides Seo! Seo is adorable! I want his hair!) and I'm alternating between bored and annoyed which is rarely good.
Let's be honest though, I am watching KNOWING it's not my cup of tea, not my dumpster fire, not my trash. This isn't 2gether where I thought I'd enjoy it and ended up watching 99% on 2x speed. This is me sitting down in front of someone else's trash can treasure and going 'what is this?'
I know it's not my treasure. I'm just... giving it a whirl to see what it's about.

You know I was perfectly content ignoring GMMTV vehicles, I was living a happy, carefree, albeit pulpy Thai BL life and here’s y’all
