La Herida , the monument to not forget the ecological disaster of the oil tanker ship Prestige. Il 19 novembre 2002, la petroliera Prestige che trasportava 77000 tonnellate di greggio, si spezzava in due tronconi inabissandosi a 250 km dalla costa galiziana. Dal novembre 2002 a gennaio 2003 finirono nell'oceano circa 64000 tonnellate di greggio, raggiungendo circa 2000 km di costa della Galizia, nord Portogallo e Francia. I danni all 'ecosistema e alle popolazioni furono incalcolabili. Le immagini dei delfini spiaggiati, uccelli invischiati nel petrolio, interi banchi di pesci morti mentre migliaia di volontari giunti da ogni parte d 'Europa spalavano il "chapapote" , fecero il giro del mondo. A ricordare questa tragedia il grande monumento La Herida (la ferita) perché "nunca maís" marea nera. On November 19, 2002,the Prestige, an oil tanker ship, transporting 77000 metric tons of fuel oil, split in half. It sank only 250 km from the Spanish coast and released over 64000 m3 of oil in the sea. The spill polluted thousands of km of coastline and many beaches on Spanish, Portuguese and French coast. It was an ecological disaster. In the subsequent months, thousand of volunteers joined from all Europe to help clean up the affected coastline. Un attelage tiré par deux chevaux s’arrête, deux hommes sortent et commencent à creuser une fosse. Puis, les deux hommes reviennent à l’attelage et empoignent violemment une jeune femme coiffée d’une couronne de fleurs et vêtue d’une robe de soie blanche. La jeune fiancée est jetée dans la fosse et enterrée vivante !
