"I've gotta say, I've never seen quite so many museums in one place. ...Someone's a fan of the fine arts, huh."

Kat muses to herself aloud as she walks down the street, a hot drink held in her gloved hands. The warmth it emanates is like a wonderful blanket in the cold winter night - and though she's not technically supposed to be here right now, she doesn't seem particularly concerned at all.

Of course, officially she's here as part of a weekend-long school trip - but as far as the teachers are aware, Kat's snuggled up in bed right now asleep like the rest of her classmates. As far as she's concerned, though, it's their fault she's here for doing such a bad job of keeping an eye on their students. ...Talk about irresponsible.

But as for what drove her to sneak out like this... honestly, she's not really sure. It was an impulse, a last-minute decision when she'd felt bored out of her mind and unable to sleep... maybe a part of her is hoping she'll find something worth her time out here, in such an interesting place.

"What's a girl gotta do to get some excitement around here?" Kat asks, taking a sip of her drink. It's probably time to start heading back, but... Just then, she notices something that catches her eye.

"Well, that's more like it. Hey - what are you doing over there?"

Ugh. This sucks.

When she'd first heard about the trip, Neptune had thought maybe it wouldn't be so bad. A visit to a city full of museums... well, it's not really her thing, but she can think of places that'd be a lot worse, so. Take what you can get, right?

But through some stroke of bad luck, both Venus and Jupiter ended up sick. So now here she is, stuck on her own with a bunch of shitty teachers, boring classmates, and Jesus somehow shoehorned into every conversation. Great.

At the very least, having a moment to herself like this is a blessing. ...She hopes Venus and Jupiter are doing okay. It's their own fault for working so hard lately, but. Still.

Neptune had decided to sit down for a drink, but the cafe she's found herself in is surprisingly busy. Suppressing the urge to sigh, and holding back a cough tickling her throat, she eventually chooses a random table with only one other occupant in the back.

"Hey. Mind if I sit here?"

Same when it came to being dragged into fights between other magical beings. It sort of happened often given Shida opened their pub to be a hang-out place for other magical beings. Just because anyone was welcomed didn't mean everyone got along. So breaking up barfights or fights outside of the pub, like what just happened, was something she was used to.

Really, it seems they've accidentally fallen into a pattern of nice dark hair, dark eyes. Clever hands calloused with skill. Dimples. Muscles from putting in effort rather than simple aesthetics. They're used to being taller (or very tall) and are strong enough to lift a person, close the distance. so While they don't rule out shorter people, it is nice not having to lean down.

He coughs on a piece of kielbasa. "Why are you asking me? The last first date that turned into something was in a hospital." The fork is set in the glass container, "Anything but a movie theatre. You don't get to know anyone like that. And what if the show is horrid? There's no escape."

Kat doesn't know what's wrong with her lately.

It's infuriating. If she doesn't know the problem, how is she supposed to solve it? ...It can't be that she's getting scared. She decided a long time ago that she was going to find her dad, and that it didn't matter what happened to her... Never once has she wavered on that decision - in fact, it's the thought of giving up instead that fills her with a stomach-churning kind of fear.

But it's the small things she's noticing. ...Nothing is as fun as it used to be. Anxiety buzzes inside of her for no good reason. Sometimes, she feels as though nothing is real, and she's hit with a fleeting sense of desperation that makes her want to run back home and sleep until everything's fine again...

The worst part is that she's been putting off thinking about her plans. Even though she was so excited about this latest ritual, it feels like that excitement has drained away into nothing for no reason at all. Even Annie has noticed her bad mood as a result, teasing her about it a little, though there's genuine concern underneath that, too.

But today, she's not going to procrastinate anymore. The person she's seeing is supposedly a witch, and Kat's going to get something out of her for sure. Most people don't react well to talk of occult rituals, witch or not, so she'll have to be a little sneaky, but that doesn't bother her at all.

"Hey, this stuff isn't bad!" she exclaims, taking another gulp of her drink. She isn't lying, either - she's genuinely a little impressed. "Looks like you do really know your stuff after all. But hey, you can't blame me for being skeptical."

After graduating high school, Luffy chose not to attend college, but instead decided to travel the world. To his grandfather's dismay, he's not really sure what he's doing in life yet, but he doesn't care because he's having fun and making friends along the way. When he's not running off to another country to check it out, he's either staying with his grandpa or with one/both of his brothers. [Would like to plot this verse out more.]

It was the stupidest thing. She had seen Sawyer share a bit of food with Vincent, being cute like that, and two seconds later Emma had grabbed him and kissed him, in public, even though she had kept her PDA at nothing up until then, to respect that he probably didn't want people to think they were a thing. And it wasn't even a peck or a quick kiss, it was a Kiss, the kind that would be more understandable if they had been separated for months. Hell, Jin and Sun hadn't kissed like that after they had returned from the raft trip. Damn men and dogs.

"Sorry," she whispered, biting her lip in genuine embarrassment after letting him go and seeing the boys' approving nods behind him. Damn Jin and Hugo too, in an entirely different way. "Shouldn't have done that here."
