Review!!! : Lost Romance

Oh my gosh, I think this may be one of my favourite Taiwanese dramas in recent years. I’ve been struggling hard to get back into watching dramas because of my busy schedule, and also because I find the dramas in the past few years to be quite repetitive in terms of storyline. Although this drama has the typical romcom side of it, it is something refreshing to say the least. I loved the cuteness in the drama and most importantly, I didn’t expect so many kiss scenes, esp for an East-Asian drama!

You will find yourself indulged into the drama if you’re a romcom and fantasy sort of person - this one cannot be missed! It’s not Vivian Sung’s best acting performance, but nonetheless she made it comfortable to watch - not being the typical weak female character. Marcus Chung, I would say is a typical girl’s dream man ;)

Tears swell up a bit. 😢 Tian Xing said something proved true to me for many years: When the story ends, the characters will live on in our hearts. 🥰📖🌿 Thanks to Zhang Li Ang, it was my first venture into the fantasy/crossing worlds hybrid genre. Despite the hiccups I had with plot and character details along the way, I still found the story fascinating and charming all the way through (I’d like to think it’s because I’m a very logical person, so I tend to have lots of questions when it comes to fantasy 😆). The movie feels warm and satisfying. It does not highlight on Yu Ke's transformation but more on Linlin's realization. Most transformation stories would turn around the lead changing to be attractive and getting the girl / boy of his/ her dreams but as for Yu Ke, he never felt the need to transform until Linlin asked him to do so. Even after his transformation, Zhou Linlin did not convey her attraction to his new self , indicating thatbhis looks didn't really matter. All she wanted was for him to be happy , assuming that he will be happy if Ruting notices him. She just genuinely wants Yu Ke to feel loved.

Ayaaa~

This movie is really worth watching. It is fast paced , fun and light. You don't have to think so much while watching it ❤
