Since it's Knuckles Wachowski's week, I rewatched both movies, the first a couple nights ago and the second tonight.

And may I just say

No fictional characters have ever awakened my maternal instincts as strongly as the Wachowski children have.

I MEAN?!?!

I AM VERY WELL AWARE OF WHAT THEY'RE ALL CAPABLE OF, BUT???

I look at them and I think "SMOL. SMOL SOFT CHILDREN. SMOL SOFT BEBIES WHO HAVE HURT AND I MUST HELP AND PROTECC AND LOVE AND NURTURE THEM."

Wachowski Family Headcanons

💙 For Christmas, Tom and Maddie got Knuckles one of them..I forgot what u call em..music boxing machine thingys, that you attach to the wall and you punch different areas on board on time to the beat of a song.

Yeeeeah not only did he destroy that the moment his fists made contact, but he also left a little costly gift of his own for his parents on the same wall where it once was…

❤️ Sonic still has to check with Maddie to know whether a certain cup, bowl or container is microwave save.

Sonic: Hey Tails, can this go in the microwave?

Tails: ………*shrugs*

Sonic: Oh come on- *immediately calls Maddie waiting for her to pick up* Mommy ANSWER……MOMMY!!

Tails very well knows…he just wants to see his brother go into panic state

🧡 The brothers when bowling

Knuckles: Grabs the heaviest ball and chucks it with one arm, and somehow manages to get a couple strikes. However he has had a few warnings and even got his family suspended from the complex for what he claimed to be “minor damage” (he threw a ball up into the screen displaying the scores and another time, smashed a ball down too hard on a lane it went straight through the floor)

Tails: Still struggles to lift the ball properly so he uses two hands when holding/throwing it. Sometimes he will use the ramp that is available or he gets help with his stance from a family member (usually Maddie). Doesn’t make strikes often but his family is super encouraging and supportive towards him and he is determined not to give up, and when he makes one for the first time, they go absolutely wild. They’d fill the room with their screams and shouts and all ambush the fox with hugs and kisses and praises for his mini milestone. Tom would pick Tails up and sit him on his shoulder as they all chant his name…the smile on Tails’ face could not be any wider, he was the happiest boy in the world at that moment. But shortly after he bursts into tears because never had he experienced anything like this in his life. His tiny heart just couldn’t handle all this appreciation, support and love that came from a place he once least expected.

Sonic: IS the bowling ball. He’d often forms an alliance with Tom to become the undefeatable father/son duo, though Maddie just sees it as cheating, as wholesome and funny as it is. Sonic once got trapped behind the fence that comes down once you knock over the pins, and had to come out through the channel that returns the balls. They get a bit hesitant on this as they’re worried he might get stuck under there. When he’s not being the ball, he’s either helping Tails, dancing to the music, or begging his parents to do the mii spinning action from wii sports when he chucks the ball behind him.

💙 When Tom is out on his street patrols around town, the boys sneak out and follow him.

Cue to the part where he’s taking a break in a parking lot, looks out the window just to see his 3 sons in the distance sitting on the fence…with Sonic holding a fishing rod with a bag of donuts hooked on the end of the line, the trio snickering away as he made eye contact.

They were clearly tryna lure him in, The Donut Lord, with donuts! Some smart cookies they were…he shook his head, smiling to himself before muttering through the mic, “Tempting…”

He could hear the 3 cackling in the distance, Sonic almost having a Humpty Dumpty incident.

How did Tom and Maddie reacted when Sonic told them that he is dating Shadow?

Have Sonic and Shadow planned to hace children?

I actually didn't draw for movie verse yet! I get the confusion since I give them separated eyes, but no movie AU yet!

I plan to do some sometimes soon, and when that happens you can p much expect Tom and Maddie NOT happy, like:

What i want to see in the Sonic movies is the boys being dumb in a very specific way, The sort of dumb that is explained 100% by 'that is a teenager/child. Things that wont harm them but Tom and Maddie will bring up for years to come to act as embarrassing parents.

They're all quite smart in their owns ways, but they're also kids, and now they actually get to be kids!

The whole party that Sonic threw is a prime example. So much of what he did was not a good idea at all, but it was all fine. He's safe and can afford to do silly kid things that aren't fully thought through,

I want to see them get into pointless sibling squabbles where the big problem of the week is 'We forgot to take dinner out of the freezer and Tom and Maddie will be home in five minutes and we can't agree on who's fault it is' instead of all the horrible life threatening treatment of the past.

Let them be silly children!

for various reasons I feel pretty confident that in the Knuckles show/Sonic 3 they're gonna reveal that Knuckles and Tails are sharing the attic with Sonic, but honestly? tf they mean this house doesn't have ONE spare bedroom???

I really love the Sonic movies and their whole found family dynamic❤️❤️❤️❤️ I've seen some great headcanons about them, and I wanted to make some of my own!

Wachowski Family Headcanons: ✨Movie Night✨

Movie night has always been a tradition at the Wachowski house. Tom and Maddie did it, and once they got Sonic it became an even more special time. Now Sonic is super excited to share all his favorite movies with his two new bros.

They have to buy a new TV since Knuckles punched Sonic through their old one when they first met. The whole family goes to the nearest bigger city since Green Hills is too small to have a good electronics store.

Knuckles has no knowledge or interest in technology so Maddie takes him window shopping at the nearby stores

Tails is so excited when they step into Best Buy. He's never seen this much tech in one place! Tom has to remind him not to take anything apart before they buy it.

Sonic immediately runs off to look at all the new video games

The salesman keeps trying to sell Tom the more expensive and "fancier" TVs. Tails is able to see through all the fancy talk, points out the actual specs, and calculates what will give them the best bang for their buck. Tom has no idea what he's talking about but buys the one Tails points to.

They finally get it home and set up. Knuckles is still confused as to what exactly a "TV" even is. It shows things that aren't really there? Is it like a some sort of window? A portal? Tails's in-depth technological explanation does not help. Sonic finally explains it as a "magic wall mural" and he's relatively satisfied.

Time to pick a movie! Sonic wants to watch "Speed" or one of the "Fast and Furious" movies for the millionth time. Knuckles wants to watch an action movie once he hears there's fighting in them. Tom and Maddie are a little worried those might be too much for Tails. Everyone agrees to watch one of the Disney movies Maddie picked up.

They pick Lilo and Stitch (partly because of the ironic parallels of adopting a funny little blue alien with a fear of water, and just getting back from Hawaii after Rachel's wedding)

Everyone curls up on the couch or on blankets on the floor. Even Ozzie comes to join in the fun. Tails and Sonic use him as a pillow.

Maddie brings in some fresh-popped popcorn (and grapes for Knuckles). Tails is a little skeptical of the new snack, but one bite of the buttery goodness and he's obsessed. He and Sonic keep stuffing handfuls in their mouths and throwing kernels at each other. Soon both the couch and the floor is covered. Knuckles tries a few bites. He says it's okay, but swears it's better with grapes.

All the boys love the movie and think it's hilarious, although some of it goes over Tails's and Knuckles's heads due to their limited understanding of Earth culture.

Sonic finds the scene where Stitch almost drowns a little triggering, although he doesn't say anything.

Knuckles's favorite character is Cobra Bubbles. Sonic's is of course Stitch. Tails relates a worrying amount to Jumba the mad scientist.

Tom and Maddie were prepared for Tails to get scared or emotional over the movie, after all, he's still really young. He ends up being fine and really enjoys it, although he points out all the inaccuracies with the spaceships and technology.

But none of them were expecting Knuckles to start choking up at Stitch's "This is my family. I found it all on my own. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good." speech. He denies crying and claims he was only sniffing because he got popcorn butter on his nose.

After the movie, everyone stays cozied up in their blankets for a while talking and eating more popcorn. Tails falls asleep and Tom and Maddie decide it's time for bed. They carry Tails up to the boys' shared room in the attic, but Sonic and Knuckles insist on climbing up themselves even though they're both so sleepy they can barely walk.

Sonic falls asleep the moment he hits the bed. Tom puts Tails in bed, and he and Maddie tuck all the boys in. Knuckles actually allows himself to be tucked in for the first time since they got there. Maddie even gives him a little kiss on the forehead. She swears she hears him mumble something about "Ohana means family" before they go downstairs and no she's not crying why would you ask

Thus marks the end of another wonderful Wachowski Family Movie Night!

Okay so just imagine the Wachowski family out for dinner and they’re all looking at the menu

Maddie (out of the blue): “ooh they have buffalo wings.”

Tom: “yum.”

Meanwhile sonic, tails and knuckles: look up from their menus at their parents absolutely confused af because from what they can recall, buffaloes don’t have wings. Also the thought of it is a bit terrifying

They both notice their sons’ expressions and begin to explain what buffalo wings actually are. Then the trio start a heated debate with their parents as to why they call it that if they don’t have wings and since it’s not even meat from a buffalo to begin with.

Round 2, Match 26: Tom and Maddie Wachowski vs. Sakyo Furuichi

Tom and Maddie Wachowski:

"they’re canonically found family; at least Sonic & them are 100% confirmed, & Tails & Knuckles are implied.

Tom may be a cop but he actively goes against the government in both movies. in the first, to protect this alien hedgehog kid he just met in his shed & shot with a tranquilizer dart by accident, & in the second, his kid & his new friend (Tails), both of which just came tumbling through a ring portal & crashing Maddie’s sister Rachel’s wedding.

Maddie is a vet & although it isn’t shown in the movies, it’s assumed this makes her more able to take care of their sons if they get sick &/or injured etc despite them being aliens. bit devastated i can’t remember anything else significant to add for her other than she & Rachel (her sister) got to wield Tails’ guns in the second movie’s wedding crashing-ing/bridezilla scene.

Bonus shoutout, her sister also plays a part in both movies, although her part being bigger in the second movie, where after her wedding is crashed, it’s revealed that her fiancée is a government spy. she goes absolutely berserk & it’s one of my favorite scenes/sequence of scenes bc she’s a girlboss & i absolutely adore characters going ham & insane on driving golf carts.

both sisters are girlbosses tbh, & i love this weirdass family consisting of these 3 alien kids, their dog Ozzy, Donut Lord (Tom), Pretzel Lady (Maddie), Pretzel Lady’s sister Rachel, Rachel’s fake-spy-love-turned-real-love husband Randal, & Rachel’s daughter Jojo."

Sakyo Furuichi:

"his first adopted child was azami, azami was his yakuza boss's kid but the boss was always busy and the mom died when azami was 5 so sakyo at age 23 ish raised azami singlehandedly. he went out of his way to protect azami's dream of becoming a makeup artist when his biological dad disapproved,, like when azami secretly ordered makeup online, sakyo told the boss it was "stuff teenage boys like" which prompted the boss to leave it alone. azami even said he sees sakyo as a dad 🥺

besides azami, sakyo also fusses over his other kids tho he has difficulty being honest abt his feelings. he's v strict abt the company budget (they're all in a theatre company called mankai company btw) but it's bc when he joined the company was in crippling debt so he doesn't want them to go through that again and lose their home. he also expressed disappointment that he wasn't the first one to take banri drinking when banri became of age which is so dad behaviour to me <3"
