ren's redacted hands, redux: sam

Hey y'all! So I'm sure everyone remembers my very first foray into the redacted hands series (the entirety of which can be found here). I realized that after the first two sets, every set had a unique sort of texture to it, and I wanted to give Sam and David the same treatment.

For Sam's pattern, I wanted something with detail, but something delicate to really demonstrate the gentleness that is such a facet of Sam and Darlin's relationship: both of them have been hurt, and they're so unused to gentle touch. Lace is beautiful, takes time and effort to make, and is easy to tear.

Sam and Darlin's relationship means so much to me for reasons that are really too personal to get into in a public tumblr post. I often find myself going back and rewatching Sam's entire playlist on a semi-regular basis. There's so much to their story, to both of these characters, and obviously, the fandom agrees: Darlin and Sam are the third and fourth most popular character tags in the Redacted ASMR fandom tag on Ao3, and Sam/Darlin is the top relationship tag. Erik really said "take this" and then this fandom said "I Am Going To Be So Normal About This".

I did this art without knowing it would become a series, and so both are from Sam's BA. Because of that, there wasn't specific thought put into choosing quotes, rather this art was made for these quotes specifically. Maybe someday everyone will get a round two (properly) and I'll do different ones. For now, I'll treat you to some of my other favorite quotes from our Southern vamp. This list is already going to be... abysmally long I'm really calling myself out here so I'm only including lines said to Darlin directly which might have been turned into pieces.

Oh DAMN! Truly a choose violence ask game... since I don't do screenshots, and I won't ever put someone's username on a post like this (because I enjoy being catty, but not like that) descriptions will have to do :D

I saw a post asking whether or not Roy Mustang actually groomed Riza Hawkeye like... two minutes ago and that might have been one of the worst FMA takes I have seen in the fandom in some time. And I do have my strives with the fandom as a whole, but that might have just taken the cake (? how do you conjugate sayings???).

Also just pretty much every discussion about the brain "not actually being fully developed until the age of 25" (which is bullshit btw) and the subsequent people infantilizing grown ass adults. But those mostly just make me angry, so...

13. worst blorboficiation

Hm... Tim Drake for DC for sure. Like... every member of the Batfamily suffers from blorbofication, but there is a certain subset of Tim Drake content out there - especially in fanon circles - where Tim Drake just becomes a meek little puppet without any characterization outside of his blorbo-ness. And again... to a certain degree the entire Batfam suffers from this. Dick's Happy Family Man demeanor is an absolutely horrendous crime against his actual character core, and whatever the hell Jason has going on in fandom circles... I don't even want to know.

What was that saying? Fandom is the 5 good friends who share your tastes and the block button? Something like that.

Ed also suffers from it in FMA - I think with him it is the most obvious with all the post-canon content that refuses to acknowledge all the ways in which he grew up during the series? When he keeps his alchemy, automail, height issues and stays with the military... its like... wasn't his entire character arc about growing up? About healing? About accepting loses? About respecting boundaries? About making sacrifices? For me his character loses a lot the moment his character growth is lost - and I would describe it as blorbofication, since his Cool Powers :tm: are what drew people to him in the first place.

Tho... FMA has a special spot reserved exclusively for War Crimes Discourse and the fact that fics from 2010 manage to be more complex and in depth about the military state in FMA than many fics from 2023. You'd think the world would be getting more anti-military, but then you read fic in a fandom with present and well-rounded military characters and suddenly everyone wants to suck their dick. Like... I am very much not condemning the porn. Really, I support the porn. I am talking about plot heavy, worldbuilding stories in which canonical anti-military characters, who canonically criticize the military state, are suddenly on board with being soldiers and officers without question. This is also not about stories that tell us about this world from the Point Of View of a soldier - I am talking about the lack of a conversation about what the political system in FMA actually is in fics which deal heavily with the politics of it all.

But yeah... shipping. People going nuts over which FICTIONAL pairing is morally okay to ship. The things I've seen, the words I'm swallowing down because I want to keep my head.

I have to talk about My Hand Was The One You Reached For here, my first ever TLOU fic. The response to it? INSANE. I came here from a fandom where, especially recently, stuff about a father-daughter relationship wasn't getting much traction, so since I was used to a small response, I wasn't really expecting anything. I first made a Tumblr post about it, again, not expecting more than a handful of notes. After all I'm a fandom newbie who only came here because of the show, I knew close to nothing about the game. And then the post got thousands of notes in a matter of hours. People were dropping their own fics in the reblogs!!! I dropped mine on ao3 and it got more kudos & comments in a single day than my most recent Titans fics got in months!!! That never happened to me before. I've had popular fics but never to this extent, never so fast. So I was absolutely blown away. Thank you guys for welcoming me so kindly 🥹

Since I'm currently splitting my writing time between two fandoms, right now I don't have anything started for The Last of Us, but I can list the ideas I will be working on once I'm done working on my Titans ideas.

Ellie forgives Joel by writing a song about it, based on Back to December by Taylor Swift - but before I get to that I want to watch the gameplay of tlou2 and torture myself since I don't know the full story. For science.

Ellie overhears the word "adoption" at school and asks Joel to explain it to her.

Another dancing fic, something based in Jackson, though I don't have a clear picture of it yet. Although I'm thinking about the kitchen. You know, another T Swift lyrics, dancing in the refrigerator light.

As for Titans, I'm currently in the process of writing the last two chapters of my newest multi-chapter Acrida, which is a time travel fic that can cause you a baby fever 🤭 but come on, which fictional father we all know and love would pass on a chance to go back in time and get to know his adopted kid when they were just a tiny little baby? There's some angst though, I actually wrote the heaviest scene today and I spent a good ten minutes crying. But I'll be keeping that under wraps and instead share something sweet.

The snowflakes falling around them became bigger. Few of them settled on his hair, one dropping right onto his nose and that was a game changer; Rachel's eyes grew round like dinner plates, lips forming a tiny ooh as she swatted at it with her hand.

"What's that?" Dick gasped, his eyes as wide as hers. "Snow? You like snow?"

She blinked at him a few times, entranced by the sound of his voice. Then she broke into a giggle, twisting in his arms as she laughed.

Dick tucked her closer to himself, laughing as well. She was the sweetest child, her sparkling personality already shining through, and her baby laugh could easily have the power to clear the sky off the heaviest clouds.

💘Is there any posted fic you want to rework/re-edit/re-write?

I once had this thought to rewrite my earliest fics because reading them made me cringe and I know I would have done them better now when I'm more experienced. But I decided against it because it shows the progress I've made as a writer, how much I've actually learned. So they'll stay cringe. If y'all want to binge my fics, start from the bottom so they get better instead of getting worse lol 😂

There's one though, where I only realized the issue recently. There's this collab AU fic for Titans I wrote with a friend. Huge thing, our best work to date, HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING (shameless self promo but fuck it we ballin) it's called Wicked Game. Recently, we started developing a sequel. Nothing written yet, only brainstorming and exchanging notes for now, but I realized recently that damn we really fucking put ourselves into a corner with that epilogue 🫣🤭

Greetings!

Hello new folks, I see that my one mini-vent caught a few eyes. Thank you for following this blog. It's pretty personal to me, unaffiliated for the most part from my other work (youtube and twitch). It's a much more personal place to reach out to me but also for me to just express myself as an individual.

I do post a lot of pagan and kemetic content, it's not my primary content however. I post about fandoms I'm in too, since this is a personal blog, and the things people like are just as important.

A few interesting things about me that I want to share:

I've been practicing this faith of mine for as long as I can remember

I am very well versed and currently solo in my practice, but wasn't always that way

I am accepting of all views, religious beliefs, philosophies, and moralities provided that they don't harm others

I love learning new things, and encourage interaction with my stuff so people can teach me things, just like I want to teach them things

This is a constructive space, and I am happy to keep it that way. While I may call out things that are problematic (not in the tumblr 2013 way, but in the 'this actually puts people in harms way and causes lasting damage to people' sort of way) I never make it a goal to rip people down or hurt others. It is true that some people should be de-platformed, especially when a cult of personality has formed around them, but I do not set out calling things out with that goal -- everyone deserves chances, and it is not my job to say whether someone is a good person or not. My only job is to bring attention to an issue so that way the people doing the less than stellar things are pressured into learning something that may not have been taught to them sooner.

If you are involved with the House of Netjer/The Kemetic Orthodox Religion, you are welcome to be on my blog. But know that I do not endorse, support, or condone the actions and opinions of Tamara L. Siuda for a multitude of reasons. I will probably make a deep dive about the House of Netjer on my Youtube at some point, covering all the general stuff including both all the good and all the messed up stuff that's going on there, so stay tuned for that if you want to see all sides and formulate your own opinion (you'd be surprised how hard it is to find information on this topic). Despite this, I welcome people who are involved with that organization, and even encourage the difference of opinion. Just please blacklist the tag #netjerrant to make sure it doesn't show up on your dash -- I'd hate for people to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in any regard even if we hold different religious opinions.

Last but not least my blog is a safe space for people regardless of who they are. There are some key moral things that I'm particularly against, which I will disclose on a different post, but for the most part this blog is supportive and welcoming of all. This includes, but is not limited to, neurodivergent folks (I am autistic so of course), members of the LGBTQIA+ communities (I myself am Demi), members of BIPOC communities, people who struggle with disability (mental and physical - I personally struggle with EDS and POTS as well as work closely with people who have DID and PTSD so I am welcoming to others of similar issues), and those who are lost or struggling in this time.

What I mean to say is that this blog will never be a source for hate. Even when I disagree with something, it doesn't mean I hate those that hold opposing opinions. The world is never black and white, you learn that pretty quickly over time, so whichever shade of gray you fall into when it comes to questions and situations, know that despite the inevitable differences we have, you're always welcome to interact and share your opinions, experiences, and feelings. Those are valid, and my experiences will never be the same as yours, and I do respect that.

tl;dr thank you for checking out my blog, thank you to those who are now following, I post a lot of content to express myself and I hope you like what you see. Don't be scared away by my opinions if they don't match yours, tell me your feelings on a situation, this is a safe space and my opinions are anything but solid. Prompt Guidelines: Updated!

Whooo finally sat down to write this out! Ok everyone, it has been <checks old post> two and a half years since I wrote out my original guidelines. In that time, I've learned a lot about how I handle prompts and how other people handle them, and it's time for a few changes. They're good ones though! (And they're small, most things are staying the same.)

So! The new guidelines:

My prompts are open.

This will probably never change. I like seeing new prompts come in, because it a, lets me know what people want at any given time, and b, can hit me with a spark of inspiration when I need it the most.

What prompts can you ask?

The fandom most of my followers probably belong to is MDZS. But I've been writing fanfic a long time (more than a decade!) and I have written in a lot of fandoms. Some of the more significant ones are:

Tiger and Bunny, BNHA, AkaYona, Daiya no Ace, Alex Rider, BBC Musketeers, Warrior Cats, Merlin, Castlevania, The Hardy Boys, ATLA

You can also browse my AO3 (linked in my header) or just ask if I'll write for a fandom.

In terms of types of prompts, I take all kinds!

Want to put a certain character in a certain situation? Alternate universe? Favorite trope? Ask away!

Know a character or relationship but aren't sure of the situation? Check out my tag "prompts open"; there are quite a few ask lists in there, and it's where I'll put new ones. (Just please give the actual prompt, and not a number or anything; I've reblogged so many it's hard to tell sometimes, lol).

Just remember, if you give me two (or more) characters to work off of, let me know if you want them to be platonic or romantic!

That's about it for prompt types. The rest of this post is some housekeeping explanations and general rules.

I do have a backlog of prompts.

When I first started taking prompts, I said I would let people know privately if I wasn't interested in them. That... never really happened. The truth is, I like keeping prompts around, even if they don't spark something in the moment, because they might spark something later. If I'm searching for inspiration, those waiting prompts are the perfect place to start.

However, because of how writing works, some prompts will take longer than others to answer.

Please be patient, and if you really want me to write something and I haven't answered your prompt, feel free to send in a different one! That might spark something when the other one didn't. Also, I might just answer both your prompts eventually.

I have written multiple prompts for people in the past, and I don't mind it one bit: Those people are like my regulars! I'm happy to see them (or you) come back and ask for more.

Hm... I think that's it for housekeeping, so moving on to general rules:

I will not write anything explicit except if you tell me it's ok. I don't know what your boundaries are unless you tell me, and I never want to cross them in a fic you prompted. However, this rule is generally for things like gore and violence. And boundaries go both ways:

I reserve the right to refuse a prompt if it makes me uncomfortable. My hard no is sex (pretty much anything rated over T). Otherwise, though, it just depends on where the chips fall (what kind of prompt it is, if it's a ship I don't like, etc). It's not a reflection of you, it's my own squicks and dislikes, so:

If in doubt, just ask! The worst that happens is I say no and you try again.

I really appreciate you answering all the insane questions you get asked on this app, and how positive you are about the Js friendship. I'm glad JA and JP are in a good place. But I just can't figure out why in God's name JA never ever mentioned it to JP in lol that time they spent together filming SPN and their communication afterwards. If you have any light to shed on this I would so love to hear it because I can't wrap my head around doing that to a good friend.

I've answered this before and asked people to stop sending me asks about it because it seemed we were going in circles, but I can't find the posts I made about it because tumblr search sucks. I'll make a new post and then hopefully tag it in a way that tumblr can find again.

So basically, after prequelgate happened, I connected with two sources itk. My one source said exactly what Jensen later said, "There was a leak".

Here's a leaked video from a m&g where Jensen discusses it. Here's the transcript:

Robbie had a lot of work to do, he had his work cut out for him, and he wasn't… I think he had just come up with an outline of the, of the first episode when Deadline found out about it.

And we have a network and a studio and agents and lawyers who have had to talk about contracts are negotiated before anything ever happens. And of course that's how Deadline gets their connections, they're like hey give ya a hundred bucks if you got any insider information.

I wasn't, I didn't even tell my parents about it y'know, and, and, so that was early so I was superstitious and I don't talk about it because that'll jinx it. And then it came out and then everybody was like 'oh, quick, repost, y'know make sure, make sure it's not, make sure everybody knows it's true and not, not false reporting.' And so I did.

And I was on the set of The Boys that day and I kinda reposted it and said something quick and went back to set. And that's the thing about The Boys, there's no phones and no email, so I stayed on set, 12 hours a day playing backgammon with Karl Urban, and because this was kind of a big thing I went 'I have to go to the bathroom,' I don't have to, I ran back to my trailer and grabbed my phone and saw Jared tweeted back and, and he was right, I should totally- I wish he'd hadn't found out like that, I would have loved to have given him the pitch

The person who told me the leak info way back before Jensen himself said it also gave me some more details. Most of which I can't say here, but it better explains the story.

Basically, Jared knew about Project A, so he knew Jensen was working on a project with a "supernatural alum". He knew very basic ideas, which were totally different than what's now being presented, Project B, ie, The Winchesters. Part of that is because the network kicked it back/changed Project A.

I can't go into what was changed, but if you think about it and understand the network and the characters, I'm sure you clever peeps can put it together.

When the leak happened, it made it seem like the project was way more fully formed than it actually was.

Once Jared understood how Project A became The Winchesters and that The Winchesters was not even a zygote, then he understood why Jensen didn't tell him about such a premature project that was barely a project at all.

Jensen apologized in private and in public. They made up and they've been copacetic ever since, while fandom still continues to fight an argument that J2 are long past.

Anon 2(?) "Is it confirmed that Jensen will appear in TW as was rumored from the possible script leak rather than it being just his voice? If it really takes place between 15.19&15.20, then I really hope Jared shows up as Sam at least once. Feels wrong to not have him involved in this retelling even moreso if it’s taking place in a period where it is just the 2 of them in the bunker."

All I'm going to say is:

Pedowitz said, “I’ve been involved in two spinoffs that did not connect. We’ve had no further discussions whatsoever in terms of a Supernatural spinoff. I tend to believe that, at this point, the show’s essence is Jared and Jensen.” Speaking at the TCA summer press tour, he added that the decision to end the show came after a “very very long, sad, heartbreaking discussion” with stars Padalecki and Ackles as well as Warner Bros Television chief. “We all came to understand that the guys wanted to go out still relevant and they wanted to go be with their families and see what else was out there in the world. You know what, as we always said, when they’re ready to stop, we’ll stop. These shows go out the way that they’re supposed to go. But if you can convince them to come back, I’m open,” he joked.

Most popular one-shot (by kudos): things change, things stay the same (4k, KamiKiriBaku), which has a whopping... 825 kudos, holy shit. When did that happen. I had a feeling this one would be on top since it's the name I see most often in my kudos mail but I haven't actually checked in so long ssajkfsak

Most popular multi-chap (also by kudos): Butterfly effect (116k, DabiHawks). Which also doesn't surprise me, lol. It has been my longest and most ambitious work so far, and you can tell by comparing the first chapters to the last ones just how much I've grown as a writer thanks to it. The feedback I've gotten from it was also mindblowing. I didn't expect much to come from my very first longfic. It was a project I started mostly for myself, to explore all the routes I knew were never gonna be told by canon... maybe that's why it got so popular. Maybe this fandom is just full of people who wish canon went differently, LoL

Favorite story you've written so far: people always expect BE to be my fave but it's actually not, lol. I spent too long fistfighting that one to truly love it 100%, and in general I always have a love/hate relationship with my fics. So I'm gonna suprise even myself and state that my fave is probably Hoist the colors (14k, DabiHawks).

The friends I complained to about this know that the process of writing this fic was excruciating. My first big bang experience and a horrible one at that. But maybe that's why I was able to write a fic I'm fully happy with, cause I was so salty at the universe that I think it was the first time I spite-wrote a fic entirely for myself. I wasn't worrying at all about how it was going to be received, if my partner or the mods liked it, and I think that's what got me to write a story that checked all of my boxes (even as I literally had to fight several writers block along the way). The only regret I have with this fic is that my original concept was meant to be much longer and have several arcs, but thanks to the aforementioned blocks I was only able to write the first one, and had to wrap the story up with an open ending. Maybe one day I'll come back to this universe and write the rest tho.

Fics you were nervous to post: Honest? any chapter in a multichap project. But especially butterfly effect updates. I kid you not, it was my FIRST longfic and it got an overwhelming amount of attention from the very start, which I totally wasn't ready for, and that influenced me a bit. I wrote that fic under a lot of stress (that I put onto myself by trying to meet nonexistent "expectations" and hoping not to disappoint readers). For however happy I am with that story, I'm glad it's finally done.

How do you choose your titles: there are writers who know the title before even starting to outline the fic. I am not amongst them. I choose titles either after finishing the first draft or when I'm about to post. What I typically do is looking for the point where the tension in the story is at its peak and try to come up with a title that references that specific bit of the fic. Sometimes it's lines taken straight out from the text. Sometimes it's a descriptor of the vibes of that climax. Sometimes it's a single word that just feels right.

That's why I don't have any fancy or eye-catching titles btw, lmao. I literally choose them on the spot

I put some more thought on zine fic titles cause zines don't have summaries or tags so titles are all you have to promo your story if you don't want the buyer to simply skip over it... but tbh my process is still the same

Do you outline?: It depends highly on the fic. Outlining is fairly new to me, I only started doing it when I began BE, so only 2 years ago. And I'm not much of a plotter, I'm more of a plantser, so to say. I do outline but I try to keep plot details more generic and spend a lot more focus into the characters' backstories, goals and motivators. I find that outlining a plot too rigidly doesn't work for me because I base my stories off strong emotions and internal challenges, so my characters evolve a lot and sometimes I don't predict well where they'd go from there until I write it. So my version of an outline is just giving myself a guideline on who that character is as an individual, where they come from / where they're headed, how they interact with other characters, what sort of push will make them go in a certain direction and how to achieve it

Complete: right now just two zine fics that I can't post yet (a dabihawks dororo AU and my Miruko zine piece). I am ashamed of this but I haven't written a single line ever since I finished BE. Idk what's happening to me but despite having ideas I'm hitting a stage where I completely lack the motivation to sit down and outline or write them, or even discuss them. Maybe cause I'm too burned out

Hi! I've decided for my first own Tumblr post that I should talk about the franchise that I have been a fan of for 6 years: Diabolik Lovers. After being in this fandom for so long I felt personally kinda cheap for me to just do a short funny post about DL

… sooo~~~ i've decided to share my personal psychological analysis on all the diaboys! Disclaimer: 

1-My memory is quite short and trying to analyse 13  fictional mentally ill boys is quite tricky so please be easy on me.^^

2- English isn't my first language so there might be some mistakes so please pardon me for that!

3- I am currently still working on the Mukami's, the Tsukinami's and Kino so they aren't gonna be in this post!

4- I based myself on the manga and MAINLY HDB and MB for my analysis.

-Shu Sakamaki:

Shu is the first born and the heir of the Sakamaki family. Thus, whether he wants it or not, it was decided even before he was born that he will be the victim of a lot of pressure. That pressure to become worthy of being the heir not only came from both of his parents but the servants as well. He couldn’t be free for two seconds. He was obliged to stay inside the castle/mansion (sometimes in the garden with his mom) to study and train, but he wasn’t allowed to go somewhere else. As he lived in a strict environnement, he wasn't happy as a kid and wanted to escape from that life. Meeting Edgar gave him true happiness. He was his first real best friend and he eventually lost him in the flames of his village. Imagine the thing or person who made you discover true happiness burning in front of your own very eyes. You will most likely lose hope in making other close relationship with anything or anyone. That's how Shu is. A depressed, borderline suicidal man who doesn't have any hope anymore and thinks that it is all his fault. Refusing anyone close to him and empty on a daily basis, he uses music as a way to cope with everything. If you think that Shu is easier to love because "he is less harsh than the other brothers" then you are wrong. Shu doesn't want to be involved with anything or anyone. If you try to get close to him, then get ready to be hurt because he is a sadist like his brothers and can hurt you if he doesn't want you near him.

-Reiji Sakamaki:

Reiji was severely neglected as a child by both of his parents. He basically spent his entire childhood trying to get their attention or at least some recognition from them, especially his mom’s, but never got any or if he did it was to remind him that he should be a good younger/brother/servant/right-hand man for his older brother, the next heir of the Sakamaki family Shu. Thus, as he grew up he developed a strong feeling of jealousy for his brother to the point of having a severe inferiority complex. In addition to that, the bitterness that he has for ages inside of him about his mother still resides in him and as we know he is still trying to revive her. Reiji is a man who holds grudges from his past and seeks revenge. He is also someone who loves attention (maybe not as much as Kanato) and wants to be recognized as superior to his brother whom he despises so much to the point that you cannot even talk about Shu around him without having either a death glare or a ass whooping. By putting high standards on to himself, not only in the present but also in his past, he’s become a perfectionist who cares a lot about image and manners. He even forces Yui in his route to learn the perfect lady etiquette. Why does he act this way? Simple, in my opinion it is because he likes to keep a perfect image of himself in a way to detach himself from his brothers whom he despises a lot. You might also ask: if he hates his brothers, then why didn’t he kill them yet? Well, Reiji in one interview (https://prevolt.tumblr.com/post/103068375676/diabolik-lovers-dark-fate-stellaworth-complete )admits that he doesn’t completely hate living with his bros, also if he would’ve killed them, his father would’ve punished him. Even if he seems not that bad with his gentleman personality, Reiji isn’t a kind man. Reiji can easily kill someone. To end this, to go back to the butler-like image he gives himself, I think it could be a mask to hide the insecurities he has. I also believe that he constantly lies to himself and that he doesn’t truly understand his own emotions or even himself has seen many times in his HDB route and in the manga.

-Ayato Sakamaki:

(For Ayato I fell upon this really interesting analysis if you are interested ) 

Ayato, in his childhood, like all of his brothers, was not treated well by his father but he , most importantly, got overpressured by Cordelia to be number one. He couldn’t get out and play freely like any normal child can do because when he would sneak out, he got punished and got slapped in the face by his own mother telling him that if he cannot be number one, he is not allowed to call her “mother” again.(Also, do I need to remind you all the lake scene from his childhood… )For him, you cannot be loved and/or appreciated if you’re not number one. Because he had to live such a childhood, he developed a severe narcissistic personality. Narcissists are not born, they are made, and they are made by being over praised as a kid for their success (such as having a good grade at school, winning a competition or an award, being the best in what they are doing) and by being emotionally neglected. (Ex: throughout the day the child is getting good compliments from their parents by being the number one at school but when the kid will start crying, the parents will ignore or punish him for it. Not giving him any love or support. Which will lead the kid to build himself an ego higher than Yūma’s height and rejecting his own emotions.) I think it describes Ayato’s behaviour and his past pretty well. Another thing that is important to consider about Ayato is that he looks as if he is frozen in time. (Which is a trait that can also be found in any real life narcissists) Even if his mother is dead and that he has nothing to prove anymore, he is still stuck in the “I need to be number one” as if his brain didn’t move on to the present. In addition to that, Ayato is a really childish man. I mean: he needs Yui’s attention and approval all the time, pouts like a kid, acts like a kid (when he asked Yui to stroke his hair in a childish way, plays pranks on Reiji, …) and sometimes speaks like a kid when things are not going the way he wants them to go. Also, once states that he doesn’t wish to have someone special in his life again because the last one who was special (his mom) broke his heart. Ayato himself and himself only and the only goal in his life is to prove that he is the best. To do that, he will use ANY sadistic method and won’t stop even if you beg. Heck, it’ll only excite him more. He is a narcissistic sadist who keeps his emotions far away from him.

-Kanato Sakamaki:

Just like his brother Laito, Kanato throughout his childhood was severely neglected and treated very harshly by both of his parents. The only thing that was valuable to his mother’s eyes was his beautiful voice and literally made him sing until his vocal cords bled. I suspect that Kanato probably suffers from Asperger syndrome from how he acts when he is mad, the fact that he doesn’t understand his or the emotions of others and his overall behaviour. In the present we can all see that he is almost, if not, the scariest of all sakamaki brothers and I think that it is mainly due to the lack of attention and support from his parents. Of all the Sakamaki’s, Kanato is the one who, from very early in his childhood, needed attention and support the most. Why do you think he always has a teddy in his arms (with his mother’s ashes in it must I remind you..)and makes his own doll made out of the body of dead women? Kanato simply cannot stand being alone. He would rather have you dead by his side for all eternity than being rejected or even worse, ignored.(I really recommend to read Kanato’s analysis since it really explains well his behaviour on that aspect^^)

He is maybe cute, remember that he is unable to understand your emotions and that he has no problem killing you. Also to be able to survive with him, you will have to abandon your logic and read in between the lines which isn’t an easy task..(This one is shorter because I think that Kanato isn’t that complex. He is just really different but still stays, in my opinion, pretty simple and easy to understand)

-Laito Sakamaki:

Laito is what I would call an empty pervert who uses sex as a coping mechanism. He believes that there’s nothing more real than pleasure. He even goes further in his “crazy” beliefs that “even the sweetest pain can become the greatest pleasure”. Behind his playful, sociable, perverted personality is a really cruel, cunning and manipulator expert who knows the best tricks to manipulate someone since his mother uses those on him in his “young adulthood” to have sexual intercourses with him. Only used as a sex partner by his mom as a child and never received any unconditional love from his parents, he has a bad definition of love. For him love=lust, real love (true love or even unconditional love) doesn’t exist and that it is all fake. He spends his time having sex to forget about the women that broke him and would even go as far as threatening Yui to death if she resist him when she doesn’t want to get involve in his “activities” or “little games”. But even after all that he can’t forget her and still is captive of her “love”, still feeling her, remembering her scent and everything about her. He can’t escape from that jail. Finally, it’s important to remember that Laito is a sadist who takes an amount of pleasure by having someone succumbing to him in a mental and sexual way. He is not someone to be taken lightly. You might not see the danger totally at first by that’s just how Laito is. He even says it himself in his HDB route, he is the type of man who will follow his prey in an alley before attacking it. Therefore, he is not like most of his brothers, he is not going to attack fully. He’s slowly going to take little bites of you and before you even realize it, you won’t be able to escape from him anymore.

-Subaru Sakamaki:

First of all, we need to know that Subaru was born (just like almost all of his brothers) just for the sake of Karl’s plan. What is different about Subaru is that his mother became crazy when she had her child. (I just want to state that she did want the child and Karlheinz did not totally raped her since it is stated that she accepted but we also all know that she was being manipulated. Since for the moment I want to concentrate more on Subaru I will not spend too much time explaining his parents relationship but it is something that we should definitely analyse as well in my opinion) Subaru was severely neglected by his father and he never knew what it was to have a normal mother. Throughout his entire childhood, he’s witnessed his mother’s unstable mind, bipolarity, her tantrums episodes and even worse, not only her insults being thrown directly at him but her literally asking him to kill both her and Karl. Because of that, he’s developed anger issues, a lack of trust with women, a severe depression and he is, if not, borderline suicidal. I also want to state that (He even states in his route in HDB that the two people he hates the most in “this world” is 1) Karlheinz 2)himself)Subaru is one if not the most sensible emotionally. So that means he feels harder than the others. You can also see that he has developed similar traits has his mother has you get to know him more in his route such as: bipolarity (when he orders Yui to always come and tell him where she’s going and then get mad when she does so telling her that he doesn’t care) and random tantrums. (when he gets mad à Yui for no good reason and even makes false assumptions) Not only does he usuels violence as a coping mechanism but he also always isolates himself, not letting anyone in his hard shell because he believes that he can’t do any good and that he is useless. In his presents, he still believes in his mother’s insults and thinks of him as someone filthy, disgusting, weak, a monster who can’t do anything to help the person he loved, his mother. He hates himself. He is constantly irritated by everything. If you want to love him you will have to endure the violence that he’s going to give to you and live with his confusion and irritation against not only everything that surrounds him but also against himself and you, and you will have to give up your life to make him trust you entirely.

heyyy, how are you? im sorry for the rant and hope u don't mind, i really need to talk about this, just get it out of my chest, yk? so, i started to follow you yesterday, i think so? so, i've been here in the fandom for a couple years, since 2013 to be specific but just went really into larry in 2015 (what a blessed year to became a larrie, innit?)

then, i stayed here until early 2017 when i took a break, lost hs1 era and all that came with it, even lost harry coming to my country, that's how much i was far from the fandom lol.

i came back in september/october 2019, and then, as you can see, i lost a lot of drama on the fandom and got so so confused to get into everything again but okay, i searched and saw everything happened during these years. im kinda ashamed to assume but lol i even had a weak crisis because of hamille, thought they broke up and stuff. (like cmon girl, i went through babygate and was weak for that? 😭) in my defense, i wasn't on tumblr so much so my source was twitter when i came back and there is a hell as everybody knows, but yeah. nowadays i'm okay about everything but i'm feeling a litte bad today. (if u can like, idk, hide this part if u post the ask, i don't want some people to know who i am lol). my friend received some asks about harry×rob stringer and okay, i went to reply it for her because she was busy and stuff. i full well know they have a professional relationship and harry's one of the biggest artists sony has nowadays, so i said this, explained that he isn't the evil that rads try to make him look like and i really believe that. that probably will seems contradictory since i defended him and now i'm like 🤯 about some things. anyways, idk, it just makes me uncomfortable, yk? i know he works under sony and they are independent artists, that harry is making a lot of money for sony/rob know and that's why rob will move the world to promote harry if needed but like, idk, i completley agree that louis would never ask harry to give up his dreams and work, and that he knows how to separate things but it's just weird to me that harry doesn't seems uh? idk the right word to say but like, he's not bothered at all about this while rob is putting so much for him and louis was being sabotaged by the same person, yk? i get now we don't even know if he still under sony since syco is dead but yeah, it's just weird to me... i think part of this feeling i have rn is just because of some gross comments i saw from antis today on twitter and that makes me feel bad, normally i really don't care and imlike bulletproof about them but today it's hitting me (as if it isn't enough, im also brazilian and i think you saw about this guy named fiuk, don't care about this at all lol, but the antis comments started bc of what he said 😂 honestly...)

Let’s get our ducks in a row first. 

Rob Stringer is not involved in Harry, or anyone’s, promo. That is not his job at all. He is the CEO of a huge company, he is most likely in meetings making sure Sony has money and the shareholders are happy. What I said, and I absolutely fucking maintain, is that Stringer knows Harry is one of the biggest artists on his catalogue and is going to make sure he is treated well and receives what he wants (within reason). 

Harry and Louis are completely different artists and there is a very limited way they can interact business-wise in the way people want it. A label will not, and an ethical artist would never ask, please one artist by giving help to an artist they personally are not working with. They are not even on the same label so it would be like “hey can you give my boyfriend a multi-million dollar deal? can you fit that in the budget?”. He is not asking for a signed vinyl from Miley for his cousin, this is a big deal. I don’t really understand what soap opera moment people expect to happen in the background? Any couple that has millions on the line in their job works to make sure their finances and opportunities and everything is separate. This is not weird? A husband lawyer will not quit because his wife was fired from the firm? That’s not like spicy. 

I’m fairly confident Louis is still under Sony, since changing majors is a huge thing and I doubt Sony would be willing to just give him away and not negotiate further. He probably got a better deal in another Sony label. 

I will say this. Out of all the reasons to not believe in Larry this is a dumb fucking one. It’s business AND we have no idea about what is actually happening. At all. So like to again make all these jumps just to say Larry isn’t real? There way less messy ways if that is your end goal yk. 

Also I want to say that I understand, feel and agree with the frustration over Louis’ career. I don’t think anyone doesn’t? Just because I don’t subscribe to this one narrative it does NOT mean I am suddenly thinking he has the best team and promo and everything is rosy and perfect. I just don’t think this is the story and I think it is way more complicated than we even think.
