2023年12月12日（火）
＜2023年11月8日＞に申し込んだ＜AppleAccount チャージキャンペーン＞、必要な情報が届いたので早速セブンイレブンへとやって来た。指示された通りにATMで操作するが、最後に＜アプリを立ち上げて読み取り機にかざしてください＞と言われたのでiPhoneを取り出すが、一向に反応しない。あれれ・・・と考えること2秒半、そうか、私は AppleWatch に ICOCA を入れて利用しているのだった。すぐに読み取り機にかざして無事に5,000円をチャージすることができた。不労所得のようなものだがやはり嬉しい、せいぜい落語会への交通費として利用させていただこう。
5時15分起床。
日誌書く。
朝食。
洗濯。
可燃ゴミ、30L*1＆45L*1。
ヤクルトさんから、野菜ジュース購入。
AppleのOSアップデート、iOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2。
ツレアイは8時30分に自転車で出勤、今日は訪問終了後に打合せで山科へ向かうそうだ。
昨日の＜入力再試験＞の採点と結果報告、再試験対象者16名のうち15名が合格してくれた。残り1名も、次回に同じ問題を課すので大丈夫だろう。
シモジマ五条店へ、ゴミ用と新聞使用の紙袋を購入する。
セブンイレブンで、ICOCAに5000円をチャージする。
酢タマネギ仕込む。
ランチ、息子たちはラ王しょうゆ味、私は残り物カレー仕立て。
軽く午睡。
セントラルスクエア花屋町店で買物、トマト・キュウリ・ゴミ袋。
夕飯用に、ダイコン・サトイモ・ニンジンを炊く。
久しぶりに＜まいどおおきに露の新治です＞のキリ番ゲット、管理人に連絡する。
大型ゴミセンターへ申込、布団2枚と布団乾燥機、回収は12/18（月）。ファミリーマートで、チケット3枚購入する。
みなで夕飯、さんだかんと奥川ファームのあれこれ。
録画番組が無いので、＜枝雀寄席＞のDVDから「質屋蔵」「あくびの稽古」を楽しむ。
片付け、入浴、体重は200g増、在宅時はどうしても増えてしまう。
歩数は少し届かなかったが、なんとか3つのリング完成、しかし、エクササイズをもう少し伸ばさねば。

Nevertheless, the recently rumours about watchOS 11 are sparse; yet, the integration of a Big Language Model in iOS 18 clearly demonstrate a brighter and strategic intelligence in Siri, for which most likely watchOS 11 could be included. This update will considerably improve user interface with fewer inputs necessary and as a result the Apple's smartwatch will become even smarter. Besides, with Apple announcing RCS support, scheduled to launch with iOS 18, the ripple effect may improve messaging on the Apple Watch via watchOS 11. Speaking to compatibility, reports hint that the Apple Watch Series 4 may not support the new software which points towards a focus on newer models. Interest and wonder are generated by the probable features of watchOS 11. Innovations like a new Recovery or Rest activity ring can turn how users approach their fitness routines; they will be able to have a more holistic health view that will include also necessary rest days. Alongside this, increasing consumer demand for simpler step counting and expanded sleep monitoring reveals the necessity of having holistic health assessment solutions right on the wrist. These AI Features For Compatibility With macOS 15 Could Be Announced By Apple
On June 10, Apple Park will host the much-anticipated WWDC 2024 developer and public event. The company will unveil iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and more on the first day. Apple also expects to introduce AI capabilities with the release of macOS 15, which should thrill you even if we have covered a lot of ground about what customers could anticipate with the debut of iOS 18.

Then, in the autumn, macOS 15 will be made available to the general public. Previous launch schedules indicate that this would happen in September or October.

Apple WWDC 2024, set for June 10-14, promises to be ‘A(absolutely) I(incredible)’
Developers are the primary focus of Apple’s WWDC event for its various operating systems, as indicated by the name “D.” Several days ago, panels and workshops focusing on the various ecosystems were held at the Steve Jobs Theater on the company’s Cupertino campus. The event also serves as a launching pad for said ecosystems. Anticipate big announcements around iOS and iPadOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11, among others. Seeing as how this year’s show will mark one year since the Vision Pro was announced, I would anticipate a LOT of new developers around the headset and its vision operating system. Updates to Apple Silicon and, perhaps, new Macs seem pretty likely as well. But Apple’s AI plans will almost certainly take center stage at the show this time out. WWDC seems like the most likely platform for such an announcement — and, perhaps, details on a rumored Google Gemini partnership for the iPhone. Joz’s sneaky backronym will no doubt only further speculation. Additional rumors have pointed to iOS 18 potentially being “the biggest” update in the operating system’s long history. You don’t just lean passively into generative AI and stop there, reports suggest. Instead, you use “AI tools that help manage your daily life.” Certainly, the notion of the AI smartphone isn’t Apple-specific. Samsung leaned heavily into the concept earlier this year with the launch of its Galaxy S24 line. Which also relied on Google’s Gemini efforts. The following month, Apple claimed that the new M3-powered MacBook Airs are the “World’s Best Consumer Laptop for AI,” mostly due to the neural processing units included in its first-party SoCs. Apple adds, “Developers and students will have the opportunity to celebrate in person at a special event at Apple Park on opening day.” This is likely a reference to the news-filled keynote that traditionally kicks off the show. Of course, things remain dramatically scaled down since the pre-pandemic days at the San Jose Convention Center. Fifty “winners” will be invited to the in-person Apple WWDC NUM0 event in Cupertino, as has always been the case. The event follows soon after Google I/O (May 14-15) and Microsoft Build (May 21-24). The announcement arrived less than a week after the Department of Justice announced. It is suing the hardware giant over claims of monopolistic practices surrounding the iPhone.

私の職場（私立女子大学）では今日から後期授業が8週目、折り返し地点である。窓から見える千里北公園はまだまだ緑が主流だが、中庭の欅はそろそろ落葉が始まった。二十四節気は＜立冬＞に入ったとあって、私の衣装も初冬バージョンとなった。とは言え昼間は汗ばむほどの陽気、講義室の温度調整が難しい。学生には水分補給を促して、コロナとインフに立ち向かおう。
5時45分起床。
洗濯。
いつもの蕎麦定食。
私が弁当を用意している間に、ツレアイは洗濯物を干す。
プラゴミ、45L*2。
彼女の職場経由で出勤する。
いつものことながら、往路は燃費が芳しくない。
木曜日は1限に＜共生社会と人権＞、私が担当する唯一の講義科目、ついつい喋りすぎてしまう。今日のテーマは＜外国人の人権＞、直近の国勢調査のデータを紹介し、人口論からの社会分析を解説した。60年代の固定相場制、ニクソンショック以降の変動相場制、経済学的な概念はさておき、おじさんの体験的半世紀の社会変動は、それなりによく聴いてくれた。
昨日の入力問題をチェック、今週の出欠状況の確認、弁当を頂いて今週の業務は終了。
今日も帰路の方が燃費は良い。

Apple may consider changing the name of Apple ID to Apple Account this year, with an expected announcement at WWDC
In the near future, Apple is looking forward to renaming its “Apple ID” to “Apple Account”, aligning with Android users’ reference to ‘Google Account”, as users will access services like iCloud and the App Store through their designated Apple Account. Reports from MacRumors indicate a system-wide rebranding to “Apple Account” in 2024, a possibility reinforced by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman for the coming year.
Mark Gurman, in his most recent newsletter, hints at Apple's intention to rename Apple ID to Apple Account, scheduled for later in 2024, accompanying significant software updates such as iOS 18 and watchOS 11. Apple could potentially unveil this transition at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, allowing developers enough time to adapt their apps before the autumn launch.
It is noteworthy that Apple currently uses the term “Apple Account balance” to denote funds added to an Apple ID, indicating a shift towards a comprehensive name alteration. Gurman's report, which references an internal “Apple Account” team, provides additional weight to the rebranding initiative.
Although the exact motive behind the change is not yet evident, “Apple Account” presents a clearer and more descriptive title as compared to “Apple ID.” The transition away from the familiar “Apple ID,” which has been in use for over two decades, will undoubtedly carry considerable weight for users. Nevertheless, the new designation likely seeks to more accurately portray the account's capabilities and the extensive range of services it encompasses.
iOS 18, An Important Upgrade and Interface Revamp
Amid discussions surrounding WWDC and upcoming updates, attention is also directed towards Apple's anticipated OS update – iOS 18. As per Mark Gurman, this release could signify one of the most substantial iPhone OS updates in Apple's history. Gurman discloses that iOS 18 is poised to unveil an array of innovative features, among them an AI transformation referred to as “Project Graymatter.”
