Listening Post (John Price x Reader)
John goes M.I.A, and all is not as it seems at first.
900 words
CW: swearing
feedback welcome!
Tumblr media
You’re starting to get worried. It’s out of character for John to ignore you. Even when he was still on active duty, he would tell you if he was going to be in the field. He’d never compromise himself with any details but he’d at least let you know he was away. And he always let you know when he was back on grid, his simple ‘back here’ text enough to reassure you that he had made it home once again. You stand in your kitchen, gnawing a thumbnail and obsessively looking at your phone.
He wasn’t in the field any more, and he shouldn't be away, you had plans to do Trivia Thursday night this week at the pub. He would have told you if he had left town. If you weren’t dating the wretched man, you would send him a text about being a miserable bastard and try him again the next day to see if his mood had improved.
You scroll back in your texts, checking the timestamps. He’s never let a text go unanswered all day before. What kind of trouble could an ex-SAS Captain possibly get in to? He can take care of himself. Surely, he’s fine. He’s been in his share of fights. If the cops had picked him up for something, you would have got wind of it, you’re certain. You’re trying to convince yourself to remain calm, annoyingly something that’s normally John’s job between the two of you.
You realize you’re going to spend the evening standing in the kitchen, agonizing in silence, so you resolve to sort the situation out one way or another. You pull on your jacket, thumbing through your phone to a ride share app. You find yourself in front of John’s flat less than 20 minutes later. His car is there, and instead of making you feel better you get a sinking sensation in your stomach. At least if he was away, you could tell yourself he was busy. Now it looks like he’s just dodging you.
You let yourself in using the key he gave you years ago, knocking gently and calling for him. Nothing. No signs of life in the kitchen or living room. His neat flat looks immaculate. You’re heading down the hall when you hear low groaning. A flame of anger licks at your belly and you have to keep yourself from stomping the rest of the way down the hall.
If he’s cheating on you before you’ve even had sex, you’re going to string him up by his balls. If you have to pay to find someone who knows how to do that, you will. It will be worth it –
By the time you clear the doorway, you’ve convinced yourself of what you’re going to find. Even brace for it, your face screwed up into a wince. So, when it’s just John, sweating buckets and groaning in pain in the middle of his bed it takes you a full ten seconds to reboot your brain.
“What’s wrong?” You’re leaning over him, not bothering with pleasantries or admonishments now, running your hands over his face and chest with anxious movements. You’re instinctively looking for a wound of some sort before you can process your own actions. He squints at you, grabbing your hands and covering his eyes with your palms, curling towards you.
“My fucking head. Holy shit.” His voice is like gravel, and you wonder how long he’s been like this if he’s openly admitting to what ails him. You’re crawling into the bed, moving on autopilot despite never having seen him like this. John’s misery does not like company, thanks very much. But it seems those old rules of engagement for you both are shifting. You’re pillowing his head on your thighs, curling over him protectively and making sympathetic noises softly. As relieved as you are he’s not up to anything nefarious, guilt at it being a thought at all is hot on its heels.
“A migraine?”
He confirms with the tiniest tilt of his head, pressing his cheek into your thigh while you gently cup his forehead. He’s burning hot, sweaty to the touch. You’re stroking a palm over his hair slowly, easing him off your lap so you can run around his flat, gathering anything you can think of that might help - ice water in a bowl with a facecloth, a bottle of water, fruit from the bowl in his kitchen. He’s groaning again by the time you get back and arrange everything on his bedside table.
You spend the rest of the night playing nurse, finally able to get more information out of the miserable man on what might make him feel better. The cool cloth helps, as does the darkness and gently stroking his scalp. You’re able to get him to lightly doze after a few hours of concentrated efforts. Grateful for the small stash of clothes and essentials John insisted you bring over a few days prior, you keep one eye on your sleeping patient while you change into pajamas. The thought of leaving him alone like this makes your stomach drop and your skin crawl, as does the slow realization he’s likely been dealing with these episodes alone for some time.
You manage to crawl back into bed without disturbing him, resuming your slow stroking passes over his scalp. Your insides are wobbling dangerously, like you might fall into a heaving cry at any moment. You’re supremely grateful when exhaustion takes over, silencing any and all thoughts.

Hello darling! I’ve tried several times to do time blocking and have my app calendar organised but it never works. I have adhd so it’s like I don’t know how to keep it up because I never found a method that it works for me. Can you share how you do it in case you do it? And some tips? I feel like it’ll help me to organise my life but I feel stuck every time I have to do it. Thank you <3
Hi love! Sharing my method below. Hope it's somewhat useful xx
To-Do List Planning:
Spend an hour or so on the weekend to list all of the important assignments/errands, etc. you need to complete during the week. Fill your calendar with your school/work/activity obligations first see an overview of how you will need to spend a considerable amount of time dedicated to each non-negotiable activity. Use this overview to help you map out the "free" time" you have and pre-schedule when you will do specific work projects, study for a particular exam, when you will run certain errands, engage in leisure activities, etc.
Before bed/dinner, use this weekly framework to finalize the next day – your agenda for the upcoming day. Determine the big 1-3 tasks you want to complete the following day and when throughout your day you will focus on these specific tasks. Giving yourself this pre-assigned schedule will eliminate decision fatigue and allow you to go into a more "autopilot" mode by completing the action you've already planned to take at any time of the day.
Important Date Reminders:
Utilize your Google Calendar and sync it to your iCloud (make sure it's private!) to allow you to write down any important dates available for viewing on your phone, computer, etc. at all times.
Create a color-coding system to organize your calendar (i.e. make any big projects due in blue, regular/smaller assignments to complete in red, important job reminders in yellow, errands tasks in green, family/friend obligations in purple, appointments in orange, etc.)
If you need to remember to submit certain paperwork, run an errand, etc., use your Reminders app to alert you at the time when you're able to complete this task before a deadline, going home, etc.
Use the location function or invite other participating members on a specific Google calendar event for any obligations where you need to be at a certain place at a specific time and/or are working on a group project, having a meeting, or need to be at a location with someone else.
I'm very into my "bookend" routines aka the rituals I do before I start my tasks for the day and how I wind down at night.
In the morning: Skincare, outfit, makeup, 2 big mugs of black coffee, reading articles & newsletters
In the evening: A long walk outside or a 15-30 minute YouTube workout/dance party session when the weather isn't optimal. Shower, skincare, get into sweats, make dinner, clean up around the house
To plan out my work week/days:
I use the 3-Month Productivity Planner by Intelligent Change (linked here). It's been my holy grail while building my business for the past 3-4 years. I also love having a physical "To-Do" list notepad next to me for tasks that come to mind or come up throughout the day that I want to organize/come back to later. (I always try to plan my week out on Sunday evenings and for the next day either before my evening routine or after dinner) I was gifted this one from The Daily Edited a few years ago and love it. Very much worth refilling the inserts.
For meetings: I use Google Calendar that's linked to my iCal. The notes section is essential for me.
For small tasks/bills/errands: I set scheduled Reminders for the day/time I need to pay a bill, write an email, schedule something for work or life, create a reminder for something I need to take before heading out to a meeting or appointment, something I need to buy at the pharmacy, etc.
As someone who in certain ways completely embodies the stereotypical "creative" type, my brain naturally goes in a million directions at once, so streamlining everything has become an important, deliberate habit and way of life for me. People think I'm naturally organized at this point in life, so I hope this system works for someone else out there too! x

Javy 'Coyote' Machado x gn!Reader Headcanon
You're married to Javy 'Coyote' Machado, but you're Jake 'Hangman' Seresin's ex.
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1.1k
Warnings: One mention of sex, heartbreak - not a warning but no mentions (to my knowledge) of readers gender.
You met Jake when you were in your late teens after deciding to move from your small hometown to San Diego, California.
Jake was attending Top Gun, and was a few years your senior. You both decide to take things slow and get to know each other.
You spend the next several years into your early twenties dating Jake and traveling to wherever he goes. You love getting to explore the country and try new experiences.
After being together for so long, you think that Jake is ready to propose to you. Jake, on the other hand, is not keen on the idea of settling down.
Because of “your differences”, according to Jake, you break up.
You’re devastated, having thought that Jake Seresin was your one and only.
You move back to your home state, throwing yourself into your career.
You spend the next few years working at a start-up firm that eventually hits the ground running, with you being in their corporate field.
While visiting San Diego for a business conference, you go to The Hard Deck and run into Phoenix. You met her through Jake, and although you weren’t super close, you still considered her a friend.
You catch up with her, and she’s not surprised when you tell her that Jake broke up with you. She’s empathetic towards you, and eventually you decide to take a selfie together.
Phoenix shares it to her social media, which prompts Jake to see the photo.
You’ve already flown back home when you see a follow request from Jake on your Instagram. Skeptical, you accept it on a whim.
You had gotten over Jake a long time ago, but it still hurts to see that he’s engaged to a model-type who is way out of his league.
You follow him back, although neither of you interact with each other besides liking the occasional post.
Ever since you had followed Jake on Instagram, you’d made a point to be less active on all of your socials and focus on yourself.
Deciding to get back into the dating scene, you download a couple of dating apps.
You have a few dates here and there, but many of them don’t work out.
That is until you meet Javy Machado. He’s also a Naval Aviator, but he doesn’t act the same way Jake did.
You and Javy do long distance for a while before you decide to start working remotely so you can move in with him.
Life is sweet to you and Javy. Although he travels a lot for work, any time he is home he dedicates his time to you and your love.
After being together for a year and a half, Javy proposes to you, and you can’t say ‘yes!’ fast enough.
You’re both overjoyed, and only tell your close friends and relatives.
A few months after your engagement, you and Javy decide to elope in the Grand Tetons.
The pictures from your ceremony are stunning, and you can’t help but post a few photos of you in your wedding attire on your socials.
You leave Javy out of the pictures, operating on a consensual ‘private but not secret’ basis.
Phoenix and others congratulate you, but you can’t help but feel a little torn by the fact that Jake doesn’t like or comment on the photos.
You speak with Phoenix a short time later and find out he had called off his engagement and is living the single life.
Your conversation makes you realize just how invested you seem to be in someone else’s life.
You decide to delete all of your social media to give yourself peace of mind.
You spend your honeymoon in the Caribbean Islands.
The next couple of years go by without a hitch, and you couldn’t be more in love with Javy.
When he gets called back to Top Gun, you decide to stay behind because of some projects at work.
That doesn’t stop you from texting Phoenix, who has also been called back, asking her to watch out for him.
Phoenix obliges and gives you updates.
Once back on shore from the detachment, Javy is hanging out with the Dagger Squad at The Hard Deck when he reveals that he’s married.
Everyone is shocked, and they practically beg him to show them photos.
Phoenix can’t help when her jaw drops at the sight of you and him. Even though she knew, she was still surprised.
Jake remains silent, sipping his drink.
Javy can’t help but question it, but he doesn’t say anything to Jake at the time.
When he comes home, you’re so relieved.
Javy tells you he wants to invite the whole squad over to meet you, and so they can all get together during their leave period.
You’re more than happy to have company.
You spend the next several weeks planning the party and the dinner.
The day of the party, you greet everyone with an excited smile, hugs and laughs are exchanged.
You can’t help your disenchantment when Jake walks through the door.
Javy practically tackles him to the floor in a hug, which makes you realize how close they are.
You avoid Jake at all costs, spending time with Phoenix, Halo and Rooster on the deck.
Your stomach drops to your feet when Javy steps out, asking you to speak privately.
Jake had told him about your past relationship.
He asks you why you didn’t ever tell him that you had dated Jake. You can see the hurt in his eyes.
You choke up trying to explain to Javy that you didn’t tell him because Jake was the dark part of your past, and that you took years to recover from the emotional and mental damage it did to you.
Javy is understanding, and you both agree to be more transparent about your past, and your future.
You’re reluctant when Jake steps into the room and Javy leaves the two of you to talk.
You can’t face him.
He tells you that he still loves you, and he always has.
You can’t believe your ears, especially since Jake had been the one to split the two of you up.
You tell him that you’re flattered, but that quite frankly, he had lost his chance all those years ago, and that you won’t let him ruin the best thing that’s ever happened to you.
After your talk with him, you spend the rest of the party in Javy’s arms.
Once the party is over, Javy and you have the most mindblowiing romantic soft sex you’ve both ever had.
When you wake up in the morning, you can’t believe how lucky you’ve gotten, and you can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Hiii can u write an Eddie x reader fluff modern au where Eddie follows them on social media and they become online bf and gf but no one believes him thank u 🩷
Yes ofc!
Believe Me!
Eddie x gen!reader
Eddie wouldn't consider himself someone who uses social media a lot. He prefers to reads and watch movies than doom scroll all day until he followed a person with the username "Cre3py.Erin". He was initially drawn in by their relaxed style similar to his own 80's metal aesthetic, but once he saw more of their post showcasing their funny and caring personality, he became more intrigued.
He turned on their post notifications (which he rarely does) and always liked and commented. One day he realized they do Twitch streaming and immediately signed up for and watched new and old streams.
He wouldn't consider himself obsessed though no, just happy to find a new content creator he enjoyed.
Since he was an active member of Erin's community, they noticed his comments, shouted him out, and replied as often as they could. From simply liking his comments to responding, they became well acquainted, which gave Eddie the confidence to try DMing them.
He started with a simple hello, not wanting to scare them off or come off as a creep. Erin quickly responded to his DM, which started as a nice friendship to now an excellent relationship. But there's one small problem.
No one (including his friends) believed they were dating.
Since Eddie started really engaging with their content, he told all his friends about them, so when he announced they were dating, they brushed him off as forming a weird parasocial relationship with them.
"Guys, you have to believe me! we started DMing, and now we're dating!" Sitting on his couch in his trailer, Eddie was exasperatedly waving his hands around to emphasize his point. Steve and Robin, sitting on his floor sorting through movies to watch, looked at him with confusion. "What are you talking about? You're supposed to help us pick between movies." Robin holds up two VHS tapes. "Yeah, man, and also, why do you have so many," Steve says with a lightly scrunched face looking at the two tapes in Robin's hands, gesturing to the box with VHS tapes haphazardly thrown in. "It's 2023, not 1986. Just get Netflix."
Eddie rolls his eyes, throws his legs up on the couch, and slumps down dramatically, "Because Stevenson is superior to whatever nonsense is Netflix anyway." He then sits on the floor beside the two and pulls out his phone. "Look, I'll show you guys our DM's" he goes to his Instagram and opens the messages.
While he scrolls through their numerous messages, Steve and Robin debate what to watch. "Look, I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying Top Gun is superior to Fast Times." Steve holds up his VHS of choice and looks at her like he's correct. Robin rolls her eyes and picks up Fast Times VHS, "No, it's not! Anyways, I don't want to watch your military propaganda movie." As the two keep bickering, Eddie finally finds the messages of proof that he's dating his favorite content creator.
"Look, see proof!" Eddie smugly holds up his phone screen for the two to see.
"Umm, Eddie?"
"What."
"There's nothing there." His eyes pop open, and he looks at the screen to see the blank messaging screen. He frantically pulls back his screen to look. It was completely blank, as if it was his first time messaging them. In shock, he exits the app and goes back in, hoping it's just a glitch but no, all the months of messages are gone.
He tries to frantically explain and prove that he talked to them; it must be a bug. Steve and Robin nod to show they believe, but once Eddie turns away, they look at each other with disbelief. "Well, umm, maybe you can show us later; for now, let's watch the movie," Robin says, looking at Steve to back her up. "Yeah, man, the app is probably going through some weird bug. Let's watch the movie. Then, after, we can try and figure out what's wrong."
Eddie calms down and agrees to watch the movie, mind at ease at the thought of it being just a glitch, and sits back on the couch.
"If he continues with these delusions, we might have to call an intervention," Steve whispers as they get comfortable on the floor. Robin looks at Eddie with pity. "Don't be mean, Stevenson. I don't call you delusional when you hit on girls who are clearly out of your league and not into you."
"Yes, you do, and stop calling me that."
Halfway through the movie eddies phone goes off, and he grabs it, not even looking until he looks at the screen and realizes it's Erin. He rips the remote out of Robins hands. Ignoring her protests he pauses the movie and hols his phone up to them. "Look see its them its Erin!"
"well hurry up and asnwer before it goes off." Steve says without turning to look at him. Eddie look at his phone and answers. "Hello."
"Hey, Eddie, insta is done, and I couldn't message, so I decided to call. Sorry if you're busy." Erin's voice on the other end has an obviously sad tone. Recognizing the voice from the many videos Eddies showed the two of them, Robin and Steve's eyes go wide.
"Told you, guys."

Hi quick-catton!! First of all I love your page and I love your personality💕💕💕 I also LOVE Saturn and Felix and Oliver just-😫😫😫 I love it every time you post, it makes my day!! Right now I just really need your help. Today I had to go on another account just to send something to my ask box because since I started my account last year, I’ve gotten nothing and it really hurts.
I love how open and freaky you are in your posts and I’m honestly the same way with Saltburn and an anime fandom that I’ve shaped my blog around. I used to be a little calm and collected but you’re inspiring to just let go and let my freak flag fly but the problem is, with my fandom, I don’t think people are going to be very inviting. Like literally the only thing I wanna do right now is babygirl code my favorite anime character sooo badly but I’m afraid I’ll lose all my followers and when I try to I get no engagement.
Like I wrote three freaking paragraphs about how good he’d look with a navel piercing! That was this morning and I got nothing all day but four likes. No reblogs, no comments, I literally had to make another account and send myself some praise for that post just so I could post it to show people that at least someone else agrees with me.
And I know I should give it time but that’s the problem. Some of my other posts like that don’t grow. They just get five likes and that’s it and it sucks because all I wanna do is engage with people that want to see this boy in lingerie or a skirt or goddamn pregnant (told you I was a freak)
I just don’t know what to do. How do you deal that? I’m honestly this close to deleting my account coz it seems like I’m posting to a blank wall and it’s so embarrassing coz everyone can see it. Sorry this is so long! Thank you for quickcatton 💕💕
WAH ANON ur so sweet omg, thank you?? <33 honestly i feel like i don't have good advice because i only made a tumblr for the first time EVER at the beginning of january!!! i am 23 and had never set foot on this app, but i saw that most of the saltburn fandom was here, so i gave it a shot and i've just been learning as i go.
i think that's half of my 'luck' with having a good experience on this app, is that because this fandom is so fresh, it's super active, but it's also a very small fandom (relative to some others) so we're all kinda like a hivemind here LOL, and because of the source material of the movie itself being weird/freaky/psychosexual, we all know that anything goes and the more freaky the brainrot, the better! i'm in other fandoms where if i said half of the shit i say here, i'd be ostracized, so it's really a case by case basis unfortunately </3
ik i yap a lot here but i also hold back sooo much because even tho ik we're all weirdos here, i still get nervous about putting out my writing or not having people vibe with an idea– you're not alone in that, i promise. it helps forming friendships in your fandoms so you know that there'll always be people who you can get hype over ideas with, but i know that's easier said than done sometimes <3
i don't have advice on engagement because i honestly don't look at that stuff (which i know is so annoying to say lol but it's true); i made this account purely to have a place to dump brainrot/art etc and view other people's saltburn content and i didn't care about engagement, i just got lucky to meet some cool people and make close friends through it.
i think if people can tell you're having fun through your posts, they'll vibe with you! it does take time with the good ol' algorithm, i'm sure, but as long as your page brings YOU joy, that's what matters most. people don't have to agree with your takes, life is too short to be vanilla and water urself down for others :^) making fandom friends and gaining interactions will come along with being yourself, but if posting here and running the account feels more stressful to you than it is fun, it's okay to step away too!
if you're on ao3 and sites like that, leaving comments on your fave works can be a great way to get conversations going as well. i met my closest friend on here bc she stumbled across my fic on ao3 and then sent me a message; it was purely up to chance, but branching out and being brave starting conversations with your fave accounts can be a great way to feel more included in the fandoms you're in and maybe you'll meet cool people along the way!! <33

The Age Of Performance Marketing – Why It Should Be On Every Brand’s 2024 Playbook
Tumblr media
Imagine spending tons of money on fancy marketing, but over half of it reaches the wrong people. That’s the problem with traditional online ads. Even on social media, where people spend tons of time, ads get buried and ignored.
But hold on, performance marketing is here to help. It’s not about how many people see your ad (vanity metrics), but about getting the results you want, like sales or sign-ups. It’s like paying only when someone buys something after seeing your ad, not just looking at it.
Here’s why it’s super important for 2024:
-> People are tired of irrelevant ads. They want value, not just to be sold to.
-> Competition is fierce. Businesses need to be smarter with their marketing money.
-> Data is king! We can track what works and what doesn’t, so ads get better and better.
Defining Performance Marketing
Performance marketing is like paying for results, not just appearances. It uses data to track what really matters – things like sales, sign-ups, or app downloads – instead of just likes and shares that don’t actually help your business.
Performance marketing and traditional digital marketing differ fundamentally in their orientation and measurement. Traditional formats use broad targeting focused mass brand awareness goals. But performance marketing spotlights qualified traffic and revenue returns. Activities get evaluated through microscopic conversion tracking instead of superficial engagement monitoring alone. Overall accountability shifts left towards tangible ROI from cost centers pushing reach.
For example Using Facebook ads that track how many people buy something after seeing your ad. Else creating Instagram posts that encourage people to sign up for your newsletter.
Performance Marketing The MVP In 2024
So, why is performance marketing the MVP in 2024? Buckle up, because we’re diving into the top reasons:
1. You’re The Boss Of Your Budget:
Tumblr media
Remember that party analogy? It applies here too. With performance marketing, you have complete control over where your money goes. No more guesswork, no more wasted ad spend on people who are just passing by. You only pay for the actions you care about, making your marketing budget work harder than ever before.
2. Data Drives Decisions, Not Hunches:
Tumblr media
Forget relying on gut feelings and crossed fingers. Performance marketing is all about data-driven decision making. Every click, every purchase, every interaction is tracked and analyzed, giving you clear insights into what’s working and what’s not. This real-time feedback allows you to constantly fine-tune your campaigns and maximize your return on investment (ROI).
3. Hello, Mr. Right Audience:
Tumblr media
Gone are the days of shouting your message into the void. Performance marketing lets you target your ideal customer with laser precision. Whether it’s demographics, interests, online behavior, or even purchase history, you can tailor your campaigns to reach the people who are most likely to convert. It’s like having a secret handshake with your perfect customer.
4. Flexibility Is Your Friend:
Tumblr media
The marketing landscape is constantly changing, and performance marketing is built to adapt. Unlike traditional methods that might be locked into long contracts, performance marketing allows you to quickly adjust your strategies based on results. See something not working? Change it! See something working great? Double down! This agility keeps you ahead of the curve and ensures your marketing dollars are always working for you.
5. It’s A Measurable Marathon, Not A Sprint:
Tumblr media
Remember, marketing is a journey, not a destination. Performance marketing lets you track your progress every step of the way. You can see exactly how your campaigns are performing, identify areas for improvement, and celebrate your successes. This data-driven approach helps you build a sustainable marketing strategy that delivers long-term results.
But wait, isn’t performance marketing complicated? Not necessarily! While it involves data and tracking, the basic principles are simple. And guess what? There are plenty of tools and resources available to help you get started, even if you’re a marketing newbie.
So, are you ready to join the performance marketing revolution? Here are some simple steps to get you started:
Define your goals: What do you want to achieve with your marketing? More website traffic? More sales? Increased brand awareness? Knowing your goals will help you choose the right performance marketing channels and metrics to track.
Get to know your audience: Who are you trying to reach? What are their interests and needs? The more you understand your target audience, the better you can tailor your campaigns to resonate with them.
Explore different channels: There are many performance marketing channels to choose from, like search engine marketing (SEM), social media advertising, content marketing, affiliate marketing, and email marketing. Experiment to see what works best for you and your audience.
Track, analyze, and adapt: Don’t just set it and forget it! Regularly monitor your campaign performance, analyze the data, and make adjustments as needed. Remember, performance marketing is all about continuous improvement.
Concluding

Secret to Long Life: Learn How to Eat for Longevity
Tumblr media
Average life expectancy in the United States is 78.8 years, but you could beat the odds depending on what you eat. Experts agree that genetics and lifestyle help to determine how long you’ll live, and diet plays a major role.
Take some Pacific Islanders or Seventh Day Adventists for example. Cultures with Mediterranean or plant-based diets tend to have more centenarians and lower rates of heart disease, high blood pressure, dementia, and other conditions.
If you’d like to celebrate your 100th birthday or just work at feeling more lively for however many years you have left, take a look at what’s on your plate. Study these suggestions for eating for longevity.
Food Choices to Help Increase Longevity
Consume more vegetables and fruits. The mainstay of a healthy diet is loading up on vegetables and fruits because they’re usually high in nutrients and low in calories. Aim for 5 to 10 servings each day.
2. Eat less meat. Many centenarians eat little or no meat. When they do, it’s usually limited to portions of about 3 to 4 ounces once a week.
3. Avoid sugar. Added sugar goes by many names but they all add up to empty calories and increased triglycerides. Try cutting back gradually and switching to healthier treats like fruit and nuts.
4. Go fish. Despite warnings about the safety of seafood, the FDA and other sources say that the benefits of eating fish outweigh any potential disadvantages. Most adults are advised to eat fish at least twice a week.
5. Try tofu. Soy products are another form of lean protein. You can find soymilk, tofu, and tempeh in most supermarkets now.
6. Count beans. Beans deserve more respect. They’re cheap, versatile, and very popular with centenarians. If you think you dislike their taste, experiment with new recipes or visit a well-regarded vegetarian restaurant.
7. Build up your bones. It’s natural to lose muscle and bone mass as we age, but the foods you eat can slow down the process. In addition to lean proteins, eat foods rich in calcium and vitamin D, like dairy products and fortified cereal.

Other Choices to Help Increase Longevity
1.Develop support. Good food deserves to be shared. Create a sense of community by eating together with family and friends. Enjoy small talk and profound conversations.
2. Take naps. Rest between meals. If you’re unable to sleep enough at night, take a 30 minute nap during the day.
3. Limit alcohol. Moderate drinkers tend to be healthier. Experts recommend up to one drink a day for women and two for men.
4. Control portions. Your body burns calories more slowly as you grow older, so adjust your portions accordingly. Age-related weight gain is common, but not inevitable if you deliberately eat less.
5. Stay active. Many centenarians have never had a gym membership, but they incorporate physical activity into their daily routines. Leave your car in the garage so you can walk and bike more. Start a vegetable garden or do household and yard chores manually, like hanging clothes out to dry and cutting grass with a push mower.
6. Find your purpose. It’s easier to manage stress when you feel fulfilled on a deeper level. Explore your spiritual side and engage in meaningful work at the office or on your own time. Cultivate a sense of gratitude and generosity.

Balancing Act: Juggling Work, School, and Personal Life
For many students, the pursuit of higher education goes hand in hand with the need to juggle various responsibilities, including academic commitments, part-time jobs, and personal life. Striking the right balance among these facets is essential not only for academic success but also for maintaining overall well-being. In this article, we'll explore practical advice on managing this delicate balancing act to reduce stress and foster a healthier, more fulfilling college experience.
Prioritize and Organize: The key to maintaining balance is effective organization. Prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance. Utilize tools such as planners, calendars, or digital apps to keep track of assignments, work schedules, and personal commitments. Breaking down larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps can make the workload seem less overwhelming.
Set Realistic Goals: Establish realistic academic and work goals that align with your capabilities. Recognize your limits and avoid overcommitting. Setting achievable goals not only reduces stress but also boosts your confidence and motivation as you accomplish them.
Create a Realistic Schedule: Craft a realistic daily or weekly schedule that accommodates both academic and work responsibilities, leaving room for personal activities and relaxation. Be mindful of your energy levels throughout the day and allocate the most demanding tasks during periods of peak concentration.
Communicate Effectively: Communication is key, especially when juggling multiple responsibilities. Keep open lines of communication with professors, employers, and peers. Inform them of your schedule and be proactive in addressing any conflicts that may arise. Most people are understanding when approached with transparency and responsibility.
Practice Self-Care: Taking care of yourself is crucial when managing a busy schedule. Ensure you get enough sleep, maintain a balanced diet, and engage in regular physical activity. Small self-care practices, such as short breaks between study sessions or a quick walk during lunch, can significantly contribute to your overall well-being.
Learn to Say No: While it's important to seize opportunities, it's equally crucial to recognize when to decline additional responsibilities. Politely saying no when you're already stretched thin is a skill that helps maintain balance and prevents burnout.
Combine Activities: Look for ways to integrate your academic, work, and personal activities. For instance, if possible, choose a part-time job or internship that aligns with your field of study. This way, you can gain relevant experience while fulfilling work requirements.
Utilize Support Systems: Don't hesitate to lean on your support systems, whether it's friends, family, or colleagues. Share your challenges and seek advice when needed. Building a support network helps you navigate the complexities of your balancing act more effectively.
Stay Flexible: Recognize that life is unpredictable, and plans may need to change. Be flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances and challenges. Cultivating resilience allows you to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a sense of control over your life.
Celebrate Achievements: Acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small. Recognizing your efforts boosts morale and reinforces your ability to manage a busy schedule effectively.
Balancing work, school, and personal life is undoubtedly a challenge, but with thoughtful planning, effective communication, and self-care, it is entirely manageable. By implementing these practical strategies, you can not only reduce stress but also enhance your overall well-being, ensuring that your college experience is both successful and fulfilling. Remember, finding balance is a continuous process that requires self-awareness and adaptability.

Managing your day-to-day life can feel like a daunting task. The good news is, there are a guide to manage your daily life. From setting goals and working towards them to using technology wisely, we’ve got you covered. What’s more, by following these tips, you can make your life easier and get more done each day. How? By taking advantage of our top 5 best tips for managing your day-to-day life.
Make a List of Your To-Do's and Don'ts.
It's important to get enough sleep when planning a trip. To maintain focus and be productive, make sure to get at least seven hours of sleep per night.
Get Enough Recreation.
Finding plenty of activities to do while on vacation can be a challenge, but don't forget about getting enough exercise. Make sure you're doing things that make you happy and help you relax, like going for walks or biking in your city or town.
Take Care of Your Health.
Health is very important for both tourists and natives alike, so it's important not to let your health suffer when away from home. Make sure you're taking care of your body by getting enough rest, eating healthy foods, and avoiding risky activities.
Stay organized.
Keeping your life organized will help you stay on track with your travel plans and avoid being overwhelmed by too much information at once. Use an app like Evernote or another tool to keep track of all the details related to your trip such as hotels, food, etc., so that you have one more thing (and less worry) ready when you leave home!
Make a List of Your Goals.
The first step in achieving any goal is to determine what you want your career to look like. Once you know the basics, it’s a breeze to start finding jobs that fit your qualifications and interests. Use job search engines or job boards to research different companies and find the best deals.
Save Money.
One of the most important steps in trying to save money in your day-to-day life is creating a budget so you can stick to it. Write down all of your expenses and see where each penny goes. This will help you make informed choices about which expenses to cut and how much money to save overall.
Get Married.
Once you have a solid budget, it’s time to start saving for marriage! One of the most important things couples can do together is set aside enough money for a down payment on their house, as well as other long-term expenses like child care and health insurance. The sooner they get married, the easier it will be for them both financially (and emotionally) when starting their home-buying journey together.
Create a Life Path.
To pursue a career, it’s important to have a clear life path in mind. You need to take the time to research what you want and how to achieve it. This will help you develop goals and plan your journey accordingly.
Spend Time with Friends and Family.
It’s also important to spend time with people you care about. bonds form over time, and by being around people who share your interests, you can build relationships that will benefit both of your lives.
Make a Difference in the World.
When it comes to making a difference in the world, there are many ways you can do so. You can volunteer or donate your time to organizations like Amnesty International or Greenpeace, or support charities through financial donations or volunteer work. There are also countless opportunities for individuals to make their mark on the world through learning new skills or engaging in community service projects.
Conclusion
To achieve your goals, you'll need to get enough sleep, exercise, and relax. Additionally, it's important to stay organized to keep track of your progress. Finally, create a life path that reflects your goals and passions. By pursuing a career and spending time with friends and family, you can make a difference in the world.

A Quick TikTok History and Why It Matters for the Best Times to Post on TikTok
TikTok came to fame fast, which makes sense, right? After all, things on this video-centric platform tend to move faster than on any other platform.
TikTok is on pretty much every possible marketing list out there as a viable platform for pitching their products and raising brand awareness. The days of TikTok being a dancing app for teens is over and the age of big name brands pushing out unique, highly-personalized content has begun.
Currently, TikTok has over 1 billion monthly active users. One billion. That’s one billion people that you can be influencing to purchase your products and services when you’re tuned into when they’re most likely to see your content.
Best Times to Post on TikTok
#1 Knowing Your Audience
In order to find out when the best times to post on TikTok are, you have to know your audience. When are they going to be most likely to see your content?
Determining who your audience is begun by determining who your ideal buyer is. How old are they? What is their current job/role and how might that impact when they’re going to be online? What content are they typically looking for?
This is very important because of the way TikTok works. Let me explain:
#2 Content Matters More Than Time
It’s a hard truth, but it’s a necessary one.
At the end of the day, you can post as much content as you want at the perfect times, but if your content isn’t quality and if it isn’t personalized to the needs or wants of your audience, you aren’t going to get the results you’re hoping for.
It goes back to our quick history of TikTok: content on TikTok moves FAST and TikTok is also highly personalized in the way it displays content to its users. Even the best posting times won’t make an unpersonalized video successful.
So what can you do about it? For starters:
determine who your audience is
determine what kind of content they’re looking for
work with a dedicated TikTok content marketing team who can help you create highly personalized, thumb-stopping, and engaging TikTok content
distribute at the perfect time based on our best Times to Post on the TikTok list
…watch the results flow in!
Overnight success doesn’t happen often, but the right ingredients: personalized content, posting to TikTok at optimal times, and approaching the TikTok sphere with data will drive powerful long-term results.
#3 Does Timing Even Matter?
Short answer: yes! It absolutely matters. But the timing of a single video isn’t the only timing that matters. The other very important and often undervalued element is the frequency of when and what you post to the TikTok platform.
Let’s say you’re posting at the best time for your industry but you haven’t published a video in six months. Results aren’t going to be very promising, right? Right.
However, if you’re posting at the best time and you’ve been regularly posting around the same time for the last couple of weeks or months, your videos are MUCH more likely to land on your target audience’s FYP.
#4 Take Advantage of TikTok Analytics
You might not even have realized it, but TikTok actually TELLS you when your audience is most likely to be online if you have a TikTok Business account.
Don’t have an account yet? Let’s walk through the steps:
Setting Up Your TikTok Business Account
First, open the app.
Next, you’ll want to click on your profile and then Menu.
Now click “Settings and Privacy”
Navigate to the “Manage Account” menu
Here you’ll see a button that says “Switch to Business Account”
TADA! You’re ready to take advantage of TikTok’s built-in analytics dashboard! Taking advantage of these analytics is easy, too. You just have to post a few public videos and the numbers will populate automatically.
“When is The Overall Best Time to Post On TikTok?”
DRUMROLL, PLEASE 🥁🥁🥁
The best possible time to post on TikTok is Thursday between 7 and 8 PM CST.
However, the best times can change depending on the day of the week. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Monday: 9:00 PM-10:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM-9:00 AM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM-8:00 AM
Thursday: 7:00 PM-8:00 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM-4:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM-11:00 AM
Sunday: 3:00 PM-4:00 PM
Now You Know the best Times to Post on TikTok, But Don’t Isolate Your Efforts to a Single Time of Day!
Knowledge is power, but don’t let the knowledge of when the optimal time to post keeps you from creating a consistent, predictable schedule that fits the needs of YOUR audience. If that means posting at 8 AM on a Saturday morning, do it! Do what’s going to benefit YOUR brand in the long run, even if it might sound backward to other people.
Frequently Asked Questions
Still, have questions? We got you covered. (TikTok is complicated.)
How Often Should I Post on TikTok?
Ideally, 1–4 times a day. Realistically speaking, once a day or once every 1–2 days is fine, but the answer will depend entirely on the preferences and viewing habits of your audience.
A dedicated social media strategist can also help you determine the best answer to this question, and the answer will be much more fulfilling than blanket generalizations.

In short, improving your content, posting only at optimal times, and delivering highly curated content to a specific target audience on a regular basis is the best way to get more views on the TikTok platform.
