Ok. You know how I said probably no worded posts until new year? Yeah well fuck that. Ramble time.

I saw a post earlier about cc!Missa and therefore his character having a fear of the sky (like being afraid of falling into infinite space or having celestial bodies falling on him etc. a very bad/angsty fear to have but that's besides the point. Ground dungeon skelly man afraid of the exposed open [don't have a link to post sorry -_-]) I honestly have no idea how accurate that is but I have not stopped fucking thinking about it since.

Phil gets why Missa would be afraid of the sky. It's very understandable honestly, the sky's infinite and distant nature is almost terrifying at times. Sometimes, when he still had his wings, he flew and flew until he couldn't see the ground anymore and the air was so thin it got hard to breathe. Surrounded by infinite and blue like that, too high up for even the clouds, it felt like the sky was swallowing him whole. Like there was nothing in the world but you, the horizon, and your adrenaline keeping you from feeling the cold in your fingertips. Phil loved it.

Unlike Missa, he lives for that feeling of being so tiny compared to the immense expanse of something so much bigger than himself. For being so far from anything recognizable. So far above it all. When surrounded by such complete nothing in every direction, even despite (or maybe because of) the distance from the ground, there was nothing that made him feel more free. Without the presence of ceilings or gravity to restrain him and keep him down. Some days, he almost didn't feel alive if he didn't brush oblivion. (Queue that clip of o!Phil void surfing) He lives to feel the wind in his wings, ruffling through his feathers like cold, gentle, caressing hands, that turn aggressive and tearing when he goes fast enough to feel his skin being pulled against his body, and nothing feels better.

In his deepest, wildest, dreams he lives in a world with deities powerful enough to rival the sky and the celestial bodies Missa fears so much. They shape the very world he lives in and paint Phil as a simple ant in comparison. And he loves it (even if they simultaneously scare the shit out of him. Then again that is the whole point of this post).

Phil is, as Rose correctly stated, a "Child of the sky". He exists to be far above the world, against the void. On the border of utter nothing. He is both the opposite and the compliment of Missa. He is the sky to his ground. The light to his dark. The complete open to Missa's enclosed caves (and petting zoos). Phil isn't afraid of the things large enough to be incomprehensible. But he might get better than anyone else why Missa would be.

So if Missa ever finds himself swallowed by an unforgiving sky, then he has Phil to swoop in to save him on angels wings as vast as the void itself

new(ish)simblr alert!!

hi :) i'm natalie but you can call me nat (she/her). i used to be extremely active on the simblr scene a few years ago, but college got in the way and i ended up deleting my blog. my love for the sims has never gone away though, and i'm back and better than ever.

i am so so so excited to announce the project i've been working on for the past year. it should be ready for release in july!!!

i have always loved the sims 3. i love the world, the atmosphere and the families. so.. i decided to turn my sims 4 into the sims 3. for the past year i've been transforming each sims 4 world into a corresponding sims 3 world (willow creek -> sunset valley, oasis springs -> lucky palms). each world is filled with families from the original sims 3 worlds with relationships, jobs, and stories. I have currently completed the following worlds (willow creek, oasis springs, san myshuno, forgotten hollow, sulani, glimmerbrook, moonwood mill, del sol valley, strangerville, copperdale, and henford-on-bagley). the entire save is cc free!

i have put my heart and soul into the project, and i can't wait to finally share it with the world. i will continue to post updates and sneak peeks on my page! thank you so much for reading and i can't wait to share the file with you soon :)

after the save file is posted, i will start sharing my gameplay and families on this blog :)

THE LEMONADE SAVE V3.0

A few bugs can’t keep me down!

Before I get into what’s changed, a quick primer on what this  save is all about: I wanted a diverse save with all the drama we got  back in the Sims 2 days. I call it the Lemonade Save because the Sims 4 is lacking in all that. When EA gives you lemons, you make lemonade.

Here’s what’s new/updated:

Updated ALL sims with body hair, sexual preferences, and pronouns.

Made over Moonwood Mill and Copperdale sims & added new families. All new families have relationships (good and bad) with existing sims.

Tweaked existing sims using new in-game assets.

Added new townies.

As always, this save only includes new and updated sims. The builds are untouched. Due to how The Sims 4 culls relationships, some of the the relationships I created may go poof eventually unless you use a mod that corrects this.

The save is completely cc-free and uses these packs:

DOWNLOAD : sfs | mediafire (no ads ever)

Back up your existing saves before installing. To install, just place the save file into your Sims 4 Saves folder. This save fills slot 9099 so hopefully it won’t overlap with any of your existing ones. If it does, just rename it.

Look for the save called LEMONADE SAVE V3.0 when you open the game to play.

UPDATE 2: The Great CC Purge of 2024

So CAS ended up not being too bad because I had a set list of stuff I knew I wanted to get rid of (fortunately a huge chunk of them were high poly hairs that were honestly bordering on alpha).

CAS CC Purge: ✔️

Now I’m on the build part. Doors, windows, wallpapers? All done. My game crashed right after I saved, which was like 1/5 of the way through the floors. Honestly I didn’t even care, I was like 4 hours into this and just ready for a big break anyways.

After floors, gonna go through plants, gates/fences, stairs, roof deco, and columns. Not anticipating getting rid of a ton of that stuff but I’m trying to get rid of at least 250 GB of stuff and that doesn’t happen by *not* going through everything, y’know?

The part I am dreading the most is the Buy CC. I’m planning on going through each object category individually and I know it’s going to suck so hard. Because unlike with CAS stuff, I only have a vague idea of what I wanna toss out. But I do know it’s gonna be a ton.

And what’s funny is that after I set up everything in game, I then gotta go through and delete stuff. Fortunately that won’t be hard, and I won’t have to worry about the game crashing on me randomly.

The next few days are gonna be me reblogging stuff while I complete this CC purge. My own content is on pause until I get this done. I’m being so thorough because I don’t want to have to do something like this for such a long time.

I have plans for how I’m gonna organize stuff so that it’ll be easy to just delete stuff on the spot as soon as I know it’s needed, no multi-day purge necessary. It’ll rule when I don’t have to do this ever again.

Luckily I’m in a period where I have a lot of free time in the next week, so it hopefully won’t take all week or anything.

some light-hearted and/or silly headcanons for the fn.af muses!! ( crossed out because some kept getting sad or dark sorry LMAO )

is a big fan of snow. his family used to travel to the mountains regularly ( i swear this headcanon isn't getting any sadder than that. ) obv it's a lot less likely to snow in hurricane, but y'know. if it ever did? oh boy. it's definitely a very bad idea to let him out into it ( melting water getting into his circuitry and all that ), but he will ask. more than once. insistently. catch him standing in front of the windows just staring outside

absolutely does have a british accent despite it making so little sense ( born in utah to a very english father, a french american mother with an indecipherable accent, and surrounded by americans. it's funny to me. ) he tried to lose the accent post-william going missing. it lasted a singular attempt in public. he just can't fake accents. he will reply to any questions about where in england he's from with a deadpan "utah" however, and yes he does find that kinda funny

genuinely actually like so good with kids. not just the big performing and playing, but she's very good with the emotional side of things. she's hung out with kids who were left alone or had been bullied more than once. she generally gets very attached to individuals who spend time with her and remembers things like names and birthdays completely organically ( as in, susie remembers them herself ) on the flip side, she doesn't take it well when an older child stops coming to the pizzeria or a family moves away. in many ways, she sees herself like those children she tries to help—rejected and alone, save for the band

completely oblivious to the animatronics becoming haunted until it's near impossible to ignore. definitely thinks their coding is just fucked up at first. he only really decides even that when he's working late one night, looks up, and sees bonnie just standing in the half-open door. staring. he doesn't recognize the actual hauntings for years. at first because he simply doesn't believe in ghosts, and, later, because he's in denial. either way, the animatronics speaking to him in strangely human ways will always send shivers up his spine

aunt who lets her niece and nephews get away with literally anything. william is like "please don't let them have too many sweets while i'm gone" and she's like "yeah no of course" and then the door shuts and she turns to them and is like "so let's go out for ice cream" in all seriousness, jayne dotes because she knows shit's been hard ( the divorce, and then later the loss of CC and elizabeth ). she can and will try to dote on mike even when he's a teen/adult because she really does sympathize. ( mini bonus william hc: he absolutely knows this goes on, but jayne just generally gets a free pass from him on most things LMAO )

he really does just have the time of his life when he first becomes sentient. like, he's not really fully aware during The Horrors, and he genuinely loves performing. unironically views william as his perfect, amazing creator until he does realize. spring is never dangerous in the way the others are—he's not haunted, not really. still, he wanders at night, even when he's long, loooong out of use. he talks with far too much self-awareness to night guards and other staff. he begins to glitch out generally, but he's usually only dangerous toward one person: william.

RWBY thoughts/theories

Okay, I’m starting to climb back down after that absolute whirlwind of an episode and taking a couple of mins to think about something other than just Bumbleby (cos they’re also in my ideas below). Here’s my thoughts:

1. Jaune says that he believes Alyx traded her brother to the tree. This feels hauntingly familiar to ‘Don’t fall’ from Worthy last volume. I’m hoping it’s not the case, but it might be foreshadowing that one or more of the team will need to be sacrificed to the tree in order for the others to leave the Ever After. I have a few theories of who this could be, one being Jaune. Another theory being that Yang offers herself up (y’all could get that Burning the Candle part 2 after all) which could bring the whole ‘the heart rarely forgets’ back into play (the camera did cut to the Bees when the Cat said this which felt foreshadow-y at the time...). Another is that perhaps Ruby tries to give herself to the tree for penance for failing to save Atlas/Penny etc. And my more left-field theory is that it could be Summer if she comes back in a notable way, giving herself up for her girls. And a slightly more wacky theory is perhaps all of them have to leave something - and I’m half expecting Ruby to willingly leave behind Crescent Rose.

2. I’ve seen someone else theorise that Little is actually Lewis (pls feel free to tag, I’ve read about a million posts since the episode aired)  - but what if Lewis actually *chose* to stay behind as a guide so that people don’t stray from the path in the same way his sister did? It makes me think about Ozpin’s words last volume when he says that “in failing to learn from her mistake, she only succeeds in spreading it.” which makes me wonder if Lewis could have been an Ozpin reincarnation.

3. Just a general thought but did anyone notice that the Curious Cat’s colours dimmed when the team asked them what happened to Lewis? We see the CC’s colours as really bright, particularly when giving their ‘heart’ to others - could this be an indicator of them being deceitful? Or, because that seems obvious, they could be genuinely hurt? I’m thinking back to last episode when the Curious Cat said “if you think like Alyx... Which it seems like you do!” mixed in with the different memories that everyone had of the book. Are they doomed to repeat Alyx’s mistakes? When she faces the Blacksmith, she’s told to lay down her burden, which is at this point Alyx’s weapon. Is that symbolic of them following the same path?

Lastly, and this is a ‘it’s too good to be true’ anxiety speaking. I really, really, really hope that BB’s romance is completely separate to the other confirmations we’ve had in the series and it doesn’t somehow get traded or lost in the Ever After.

SIMS 4 - BATCH FIX FROM SIMS 4 STUDIO FOR EYES FOR THE INFANT PATCH

This is exciting and will make your life so much easier! You can perform this fix yourself, which doesn't take long (seriously it's just a few minutes if you don't have S4S already, or seconds if you do, depending on the amount of cc you have), or you can choose to wait for your favourite creators to update and upload their new files.

This first part is for those who don't already have Sims 4 Studio's latest version. I always download the current beta version for the most up-to-date processes. Also, some people may have issues with the immediate installer, like me, so I recommend downloading the zip version. The images attached to this post will help you follow along.

During installation you may have to tell your antivirus software that Sims 4 Studio is trusted, and continue on. It's very safe and I haven't heard of anyone having any problems, ever. Once that's done, open the program, go into Settings and make sure S4S points to wherever you keep your files. 

Be aware that it may take a few moments for it to sync up to the packs you own and your file locations, which always happens after the program updates with game updates.

Now for the actual fixing:

Click on Content Management > Batch Fixes > CAS, then go to the bottom of the list (you may have to scroll) and click on Update Eye Colors for Infants (Infants Patch), and let it run. This could take 2 seconds or a few minutes, depending on your computer and how many sets of custom eyes need fixing in your Mods folder.

Not only does Sims 4 Studio fix your files, it also keeps the original files in a Batch Fixes folder for you!

When Sims 4 Studio is finished running the batch fix, you will see a popup telling you what was accomplished, and you're good to go!

CREATORS: Once you're finished with the Batch Fix, remember to upload the new package(s) for your downloaders!

i have so many thoughts about EA’s statement abt paywalled content, some of which conflict. something really needed to be done about completely unreasonable “early access” content (like a month or more for a public release??) perma paywalled cc, creators tracking and doxxing those who distributed the files. i think we forget that at the end of the day a lot of this community is young people, charging 20 bucks for 1 cc set is morally disgusting esp when the people paying these are probably mainly teenagers/college aged people, & EA is already bleeding us dry.

but also it sucks this will hurt modders who actually make the game so much better and put in so much effort (like lumpinou or cc creators releasing entire sets w very reasonable early access) i think the takes like “why did they ever depend on this as a job” etc are kind of hurtful, specifically abt people who actually put work in. i’m not talking abt slight mesh edits and stolen meshes,, but idk making mods & cc do take legitimately so much time and work, as a hopefully future artist who is hopefully going to be largely dependent on like youtube ad revenue, and very possibly something like Patreon, it is a little disappointing to see takes like “get a real job.” it makes it really clear people just don’t value specific type of work bc they don’t see it as legitimate. but it is totally possible i’m letting my future goals paint that view.

but also i’m equally tired of every single post on my dash being a early access piece of cc i wouldn’t get for weeks, and overall i think my take is just that i hate it ever got to this point. i wish that we never monitiezed this hobby community so deeply. i miss exchanging free cc on simblreen and when it felt like the biggest simblrs on the platform cared about the game, before they all just became patreon cc creators who only post when they’re promoting a cc pack. this isn’t meant to @ anybody in particular (except creators like f*lix and s*xam and others like that, fuck those guys fr.) but really just my late night musing abt how this community has changed since i first joined and a bit of sadness for the implications this will have on mod creators who are legit the saving grace to my game, but also that i’m glad that we finally will have some system for the really exploitive people. and some apprehension that this will actually stop those people and not just prevent aforementioned modders who do work hard.

sorry if you’d rather not get asks about this! but i’ve totally distanced myself from dteam since the whole situation happened, so i’m not sure at all where to look for updates of the whole thing. cause looking at cc’s reactions, it doesn’t seem to be as serious as it originally felt.. i’d like to look at it from like a fresh, objective point of view. is there a blog with all the info or is it more spread across different posts? thank you!!

well, the truth is that literally nothing new has come out since everything popped off. i couldn't really point you to a blog that has all the info because ... there just isn't anything to really report on. there have been no new details, no one else has come forward, and nobody involved has said anything else on the matter. business has continued largely as normal, with the dteam doing a lot of travelling and releasing various forms of content. other ccs have continued to collab with them (most notably tommy and tubbo in the s1 finale), and there's been no vocal opposition to dream in particular from the creator community (save from snide comments by the usual suspects, but even they don't have anything more to work with than any of us do).

i think the most we ever heard was aimsey saying that they can't speak on the subject (following a campaign by fans to pester ccs into addressing the allegations), but even then we don't know if that's because of an ongoing legal case or because of their work contract affiliations. aside from that, the only references to the situation have come from uh . tommy poking fun at it, mostly. dream's friends have very clearly not distanced themselves from him, and even the ccs you might expect to talk about this sort of thing (ludwig, hasan, cr1tikal, etc) haven't broached the subject (and hasan has even defended dream from other discourse topics since october).

i'm not saying all of the above to weight things toward innocence, just stating what we've all personally observed in the last several months. whatever is going on, it hasn't really affected the state of affairs much. i talk about it on my alt sometimes (@/drodcast), but mostly there hasn't really been anything to say.

the general vibe i get from the fandom currently is that we're sort of chugging along as we were, though ofc we're all ready to take in new information if anything were to come down the pipes. some people are still uncomfortable with the situation/dream and chose to leave, which is completely within their rights. i don't think it behooves anyone to shame people for their choices, as everyone will inevitably react differently to such situations depending on their own personal experiences and opinions.

Yes the only exception is that it’s because of the cc. Because all my sims have a lot of cc. I’m very sad I spent a lot of time creating them….

So, if I'm understanding correctly, you can still go into your game and play, but you just can't post sims on the gallery? Or are you completely locked out of your EA account and can't even play your game at all?

I'm happy to help! Usually they send a warning before outright banning, did you receive any warnings to your EA account prior to being banned? You can login into your EA account online and look under "MY BAN HISTORY." This should tell you when you were banned and give you the option to dispute the ban. Here's a Reddit thread I found while looking into your problem that shows some screenshots that illustrate what I'm talking about.

That's why I personally don't upload anything that isn't "Vanilla" to the gallery if I can help it. There have been some issues in the past with inappropriate and outright racist content, and the gallery has undergone major changes in the last couple months in an attempt to avoid this. My guess is that whatever filter/algorithm they're using to find inappropriate content might have a harder time with sims that use a lot of custom content, and it might be more privy to flagging those, unfortunately. It sucks, but it's the sims team lol. They are bad at fixing problems, but very good at making them. The gallery has always had its issues and, especially if you're using cc, it can be very unreliable IMO. That's why if you're creating sims with the intent/hopes to share them, I really recommend making a Simblr and sharing your sims on here by uploading them to a free host like Google Drive, Mediafire, Patreon, OneDrive, etc. Like I said, I'm happy to create a tutorial for that if you're curious! I'm not tech savvy, but I upload sims on here all the time and haven't had any issues with my methods - it's not as complicated as you'd think once you get the hang of it, and you don't run into issues that come from the gallery.

and YES, absolutely just save your unfinished sims to your library. I have 5 copies of "Vatores - In Progress" in my library right now lmao because I know this game is always playing around in the worst way and I don't want to lose my sims or my progress. I only ever save sims and builds that use CC to my personal library, never on the gallery, and then I use Tray Importer to grab their tray files and cc to share them. It's actually easy-peasy!

You are not stupid! I totally get your thought process with the spawning. That is a pain and there's no perfect solution to that other than just deleting the unfinished townie if they happen to generate in your game.

SUPER IMPORTANT QUESTION: you still have your game installed and therefore have access to your Sims 4 folder, right? If so, you can back up your tray and saves that way you don't lose anything.

I'm using a Windows computer, so I'm sorry if you're using a MAC... I don't know much about their Operating System. For me I can do this by simply copying both folders and storing them in a folder on my desktop, but you can even use a separate flash drive if you prefer.

I go to Documents -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims 4. You use mods, so you're probably very familiar with this but here's a screenshot just in case:

The two folders I have highlighted - saves and tray - you should keep backups of before you update your game, put new mods in your game, etc. because if something gets corrupted, you'll always be able to save the important stuff if you have to uninstall your game, move to a new PC, and etc.

That's what my folder looks like on my desktop - the last copy I made of my tray and saves was on October 17th.

Important note while we are here: you can also delete anything inside the cachestr folder (but not the folder itself), anything inside the onlinethumbnailcache folder (but not the folder itself), the avatarcache.package file, and the localthumbcache.package file. Especially do this after removing any mods or cc from your game!

If you can still go into your game and access your sims in the gallery at any capacity, you should go ahead and save your favorite sims to your library. You can do this by going into CAS, adding them to a new household, and saving them like I showed you in the last post. Save your game and then, if you haven't backed everything up before, I would recommend doing that.

If you can't access your gallery at all any more, with the exception of your library, but some of the sims/households you liked have spawned in your game, you can also add them to your library by editing their household from the neighborhood bin. Just open them in CAS and save them to your library the same way you would a totally new sim. This way, even if you may not be able to access everything you've uploaded to the gallery, you might still be able to salvage some sims this way.

Also, if you made a family in CAS and then moved them into a house right after, good news - a copy of them is already saved in your library! So there's definitely some hope?

I don't know what mod this could be, but I've seen people complaining about this issue in the past. I've never personally ran into this issue, but it's likely a script mod. Hard to say: I don't know what cc and mods you have in your game. You might just need to clean out your mods and CC folder until your find the culprit (50/50 method). If you don't have everything organized into subfolders, this would be the perfect opportunity to do that. I'll do some digging though, I'm sorry I can't be more helpeful with this.

NaNoWriMo

Untitled: Original work; first in my Fourteen Crowns setting. A god-touched diplomat on his first assignment to attend a secret meeting is abducted by sky pirates--and then by their captain's evil ex, who is intent on draining him of his power.

Fourteen Crowns as a setting is very Nobledark, at least at first. A millenium or so ago, a war between the Hope-father and the Love-mother, the two main gods, ravaged the world when their children (also gods), their adherents, and mortal mages became involved.

The wars ended with the demise of both chief gods, at which point the kings (and queens) of the fourteen kingdoms signed a pact forbidding mages in their lines of succession and vowing to stay out of that territory rendered unstable by the wars. Unfortunately, the unstable territory has continued to expand and three of the fourteen kingdoms have been lost since that time; eleven remain.

In spite of the ban on magic in the royal lines, its use remains prominent, especially for transporting goods and people. The only way across the unstable lands is by airship, and they now are the most common form of transport around its edges as well. Piracy is very common: all one needs to get started is a crew, a bit of magic, and any old water-going vessel--they no longer even need to be water-tight.

Amidst all of this, the gods still claim humans for their own. Some of these god-touched wield powerful magics, speak prophecy, work miracles. Others live more ordinary lives, committing minor magics largely undiscovered.

So, they're on their way out of a basically-grimdark age--things are getting better! People are good and trying, but it's a hell of a crapsack world they're working with.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: This work deals heavily with themes of religion, cults, and power imbalance. One main character is subjected to dubiously-consensual and then non-consensual sex by different parties on page. Another main character is a survivor of a past abusive relationship; his son is still in the care of his abusive ex. Several character die in violent ways, including being burned alive. The main relationship has a significant age gap.

That said, the romance is a key part of the story between a trans man and a cis man; no main protagonists die, and the ending is Happy For Now with a sequel planned to tie up the loose ends into a true Happily Ever After.

I will not be seeking to traditionally publish this, or any, original work. All of my original writing will be free to read forever. When complete, it will be posted to AO3 and/or a self-hosted site. BTTF Year-End Tag Game!

How many times would you guess you watched the first back to the future movie?

At least fifteen times through, easy. Probably more than that.

Did you get any sweet bttf merch? If so, what?

I sure did! I got my really neat BTTF backpack, a Hot Wheels miniature of the DeLorean, a couple prints from CC including a metal print of the DeLorean about to time travel, and probably another thing or two I can't think of off the top of my head.

How many cans of Pepsi Free did you chug this year?

Not one. I don't really drink soda. If I do, it's probably root beer or ginger ale.

What was a favourite bttf fanfic you read this year?

Oh god, one I absolutely LOVED was Time Is A Flat Circle. I really liked the darker tone of this fic, the villainous version of Doc presented here (because he would be a terrifying villain, lbr), and all the foreshadowing done in this fic as you get closer to the end that maybe you'll miss the first time and then you'll see it all come together later—wow, fantastic. Big fan of being unable to change the present/future via the past because everything's set to play out that way.

A favourite bttf fanart you saw this year? (please give us a link, not a screencap/repost!)

Ah hmmmmm. I don't go searching for fanart on here as much as I should, tbh. I did actually catch a couple of the Doctober artworks going around and a lot of those were incredible. I'll have to get back to you on this one.

Did you create any bttf fanart or fanfic? If you did, what one(s) are you proudest of?

I'm working on a doodle of Doc atm for fun, we'll see if I ever do anything with it. But fanfics, yeah, I guess you could sort of say I did! I participated in the Doctober '23 event, and actually completed all 31 days. I'm very hard on myself so I don't know if I'd give one I'm proudest of, but I definitely got much more comfortable with my writing as the days went on.

How many times were you late for school this year?

I have long since graduated haha.

Did you watch any other movies/tv shows with BTTF actors in them?

A few (I'm not a huge film person actually), and I think they were mostly Chris Lloyd's things hmmm—Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension, Star Trek III: Search for Spock, I Am Not A Serial Killer, Doc Brown Saves the World (it counts, I guess), Million Ways to Die in the West, there were probably others I'm sure but off the top of my head, these are the ones I remember.

Was there a memorable moment you heard a Huey Lewis song this year?

A memorable moment? Hmmmm I'm not sure. I listened to enough Huey Lewis this year but I can't think of something particularly memorable about doing so.

How many times did you fall down this year?

A couple, probably. Can't say I kept count.

Did you get to see BTTF: The Musical? What was your experience like!

I sure did! I've seen it twice now and I'd see it a third time in a heartbeat. It was an amazing experience, I went in completely blind, didn't know anything about the production, the soundtrack, nothing. When it came to Broadway, my first time seeing it was in the pre-showing (or whatever they're called); like it wasn't technically open yet but wow, I was FLOORED. I came out immediately getting the soundtrack and listening to that damn thing on repeat for weeks.

How many times did your mom retell the story of how she and your father met?

I think she's only told it to me once. Twice, perhaps, for different context. But theirs is not a happy story so it's not exactly something that gets spoken about often.

If you could describe your year in a BTTF quote, which one would it be?

My year in a BTTF quote? Uhhhhh. "Yeah, I saw it on a rerun." OR "Yeah, well uh, let's keep this brain melting stuff to ourselves, okay?"

Oh fuck if I know—this may be the year I quit the job that I hate that doesn't pay me what I deserve for my qualifications and figure out what I actually enjoy doing. I'll work on my confidence re: the content I put out, namely being proud of the things I create, whatever they are.

THE LEMONADE SAVE V2.7

It’s back, back, back again!

Before I get into what’s changed, a quick primer on what this  save is all about: I wanted a diverse save with all the drama we got  back in the Sims 2 days. I call it the Lemonade Save because the Sims 4 is lacking in all that. When EA gives you lemons, you make lemonade.

Here’s what’s new/updated. Another small update this time:

Updated My Wedding Stories sims and new households in Tartosa

Because I’m petty, no other sims require MWS. If you don’t have that pack you can download this save just fine.

Bonnets and durags galore!

As always, this save only includes new and updated sims. The builds are  untouched. Due to how The Sims 4 culls relationships, some of the the  relationships I created may go poof eventually unless you use a mod that  corrects this.

The save is completely cc-free and uses these packs:

Back  up your existing saves before installing. To install, just place the  save file into your Sims 4 Saves folder. This save fills slot 9098 so  hopefully it won’t overlap with any of your existing ones. If it does,  just rename it.

Look for the save called LEMONADE SAVE V2.7 when you open the game to play.

THE SCANDIESAVE V1.0

Behold the very first version of the ScandieSave! ... and my very first save file ever, for that matter. This project have been in the works for a whooping 25 months and I have put all my effort and love into creating a version of the game that I would want to play with myself. I hope you'll enjoy it too and use it as a base for your own game play ideas!

What can I expect from the Scandie Save?

All pre-existing townies have had a makeover. 

50+ new families with stories, skills, careers etc.

What do I need in order to play the Scandie Save?

How do I install the ScandieSave?

Back up your saves folder. 

Download the Scandie Save.

Put the save in your SAVES folder. Most people will find it here: Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Saves. 

If you already have a file with the same filename as the Scandie Save, please rename the save file to a name that is not currently in use but make sure to keep it 8 digits long.
