So we know that wizards/witches/people with magic live a really long time right, I mean Douxie is over 900 years old and hasn’t aged a day (which calls in the question about how old Merlin is, unless he chooses to look that way to get people to respect him more. Because let’s be honest, he wouldn’t get nearly as much respect if he looked like that Nerd from the BBC series lol)

Back to my point, Claire. Claire has incredibly powerful magic, so much so that she doesn’t even need a staff. So does that mean she’s going to watch her friends die? Is she going to out live Jim? I mean he isn’t a troll anymore, so Jim probably only has the lifespan of an average human. Is she going to lose him again, but this time it will be permanent. (unless she can make people live longer? Against their will?)

Or is there something that switches on in a magic user? Like can she choose not to live a very long time? Did I miss something that explains the life span of magic user?
