Grayson Hawthorne Headcanons ✨🎻🏊‍♂️

(there's still like 10 hrs left on my poll but I'm impatient so 🙃 here we go hope y'all like them)

• he likes snow cones

• he sleeps hot (his brothers too, except xander) so he always needs the aircon to be really low

• he's had like 17 different tailors throughout his life because of how specific he is about his clothes 💀 (it's the only fragment left of his purported toddler nudist history, he NEEDS then to be comfy)

• has a natural profiling tendency (he's profiled multiple people in TBH)

• can sing well (canon), also he actually really likes to as well but never cultivated it as a yearly skill cuz he wanted at least one thing he liked to not become a competition 😞 (fuck you tobias)

• definitely keeps journals

• loves the sauna (there's definitely many of those in the house)

• loves eddie south and also likes to play jazz music more than classical, but tobias forbade it and made him focus on classical :( (cuz classical focuses more on perfection rather than jazz which is looser in approach)

• hates his gray eyes because he thinks they're really dull and cold 🥺

• he was that shy but smart kid in class whose report card description is always smth like "polite, quiet, and smart" (basically me tbh I was the shy kid 🤭)

• loved holding Jamie and Xan as babies 🥹

• sleeps like the dead (canon) but when they were all kids, he used wake up IMMEDIATELY when Jamie had a nightmare and wanted to be in his room 😭

Sunshine Reader works at a nonprofit animal shelter. You happened to be working when Grayson came in to assess if the place was worth the foundation's donations 

Grayson being impatient with you at first, how could you not know he was the representative sent to evaluate the place for a grant from the foundation?

He couldn't help but admire your dedication when you ramble about animal personalities, way off track from his original question

Before you were together he thought you were stupid for being kind and optimistic all the time

He still doesn't get it

Grayson is slow to warm to physical contact

Calling him sunshine 

He loves when you touch his face, the way you run your thumbs across his cheekbones 

Telling people "he's smiling on the inside"

The easiest way to pull Grayson from his thoughts: nose boops

Dragging him along for walks on rainy days

Grayson giving in and walking without an umbrella because “it’s not fun with an umbrella”

Everyone afraid of the absolute murderous look you get when he says Eve keeps trying to contact him

Always has his arms around your waist especially when he's about to leave to go somewhere, he will hug you at least three times

Tries to free up space in his schedule so you can have dinner together every day

Plans the best and most thoughtful dates for the both of you. Goes above and beyond what you ever think of. ("You didn't have to do all this". "Of course I did. It's for you, my love")

He likes to make you blush sometimes by kissing you full on in the middle of the house where anyone could come past.("Sorry, I couldn't help it, love.")- Xander's seen u two and told u to get a room.

Loves just spending time with you, will set up a picnic blanket so both of you can stargaze

gets you anything you've mentioned in passing. You've mentioned how cute cats are? Lucky you because the next day you've got a cat in your room

Ask you which car he should buy because apparently you have good taste. (the real reason is because it's only going to be you two sat in his car so he wants it to be your choice)

Will ask what your wearing and walk into his WALK IN WARDROBE to find a slightly matching outfit

His taste in fashion is impeccable, sometimes you have to ask him where he gets his clothes from because damn those jumpers in winter look comfy

safe to say you steal half his jumpers, hoodies. He loves when you do it

Compliments you really randomly after looking at you with so much love in his eyes

Has literally brought a separate apartment for the both of you just in case his family is a little too chaotic for you ("But I love your family!" "Are you sure?")

Grayson has great family values even though he's been through a lot which is why you are literally there at every dinner and every meeting they have

very sensitive about his hair and so only lets you run your fingers through it when it's just the two of you. You tease him sometimes by messing up his hair.

Sometimes the both of you will stay up all night having a heart to heart, cuddling each other

He is a literal gentleman. Crouches down to help with your heels, opens doors for you, will even tie up your hair for you, if you don't fully understand their whole mystery kind of thing he will take the time to explain it to you

Literally shits himself from nerves because he doesn't know if you'll accept his proposal (of course u do)

He is also the best interior designer, anytime someone comes around to ur house (mansion) they compliment the designs ("Yes, it was my husband who chose most of it out")

You both still attend weekly dinners at Hawthorne house if not more

random little quirks about each the inheritance games characters!

these are all headcanons I made up!

avery definitely sings in the shower. she has full on concerts every time and jameson thinks it’s hilarious. avery will get really embarassed if you bring it up and doesn’t like to talk about it.

jameson stills counts on his fingers. he’s a grown man, in college, paying for taxes, and he still uses his fingers to count.

grayson is a huge grammar and spelling person. if you spell a word wrong or don’t use correct punctuation, he will correct you in seconds and make you feel like an idiot.

xander is a huge nail biter. whenever he can’t sit still or is anxious, he bites his nails.

nash will have headphones in and will dance around his bedroom, kitchen, etc. he gets very flustered if someone walks in on him dancing to music the other person can’t hear. when libby walks in on it, she just starts dancing with him.

libby is a terrible liar. you can always tell when she’s lying or making something up. she always gets really guilty after lying too.

max snorts when she laughs, but only when she’s laughing really hard. she’s kinda self conscious about it but xander thinks it’s so cute.

thea is a massive germaphobe. her room is always so clean and she hates touching dirt, animals, blood, etc. she is constantly washing her hands and doesn’t like germs overall.

rebecca is an outfit repeater, but she has the cutest clothes ever so no one really cares.

Xander loves his curls and totally has a whole care routine for them. He takes his time and is meticulous with every step; you could say that when it comes to hair, he takes more time than even Jameson especially if he's feeling good and wants to look good (usually on a date with Max because he likes looking good for his girl). Anyways, this hair care routine is something he came up with himself after watching many tutorials and much research because of course the nerd in him wouldn't let him rest if he didn't. Then, he eventually made a tutorial video himself and posted it to YouTube and low and behold, it blew up. It's one of the most watched men's care routines however, of course the irony is that more than half the views are from Hawthorne fangirls who thirst over him more each time.

On the other hand, Mr. Flawless Skin (aka Grayson) secretly films his skin care routines, altering between a few to keep seeing which one works better. Xander, being the snoop he is, has discovered this one time by accident and proceeds to airdrop them to his phone and leaks the videos "accidentally" from a secure private account. It's a Grayson stan account. His brother finds out he's blown up and he figures out pretty quickly who it is and though Xander somewhat starts getting paranoid, Gray never says anything just to have his fun to see him getting harder at keeping a poker face until he fesses up one day. Xan wondered what he would do but Grayson never ends up doing anything in retaliation but he never tells him that watching him be paranoid and acting weird whenever he was around was the real "revenge".

Avery Grambs Headcanons ✨💸🪙💌

• smoked weed exactly once in her life (with her mom iykyk 🥺)

• snorts sometimes when she laughs too much (rare occurrence) and Jamie loves it

• likes to stargaze with Jameson and rant about constellations. She says it helps keep her humble to know how small she is compared to the stars and shit. 

• loves getting massages and gets them weekly (and quick lil massages in between from Jamie 💕)

• has a box full of sentimantal things like her mom's postcards obv, the receipt from when she had her first real date with Jameson, the coin she flipped with Jamie <3, the star wars merch xander gave her to "show how important she is to him" even though she has no use for it, a frosting tip of Libby's from their old life, ntm her old backpack she brought etc. 

• isn't picky per say, but hates pickles

• had MAJOR trouble adjusting to being the centre of attention and Grayson gave her tips on how to manage too much attention as an introvert cuz they're both like that 🤭

I can't stop thinking about this, so now it's going to be your problem too

Imagine little Grayson, maybe 4 years old. Imagine there's a massive storm that woke him up. Now the lightning flashes make the shadows in his room creepier. Sure he can hide under his covers, but there's nothing that stops the near deafening clap of thunder that shakes his bed. Grayson musters all his courage and runs from his room, hands covering his ears. Bare feet slapping on the hardwood floor as he goes to the one place he knows he'll be okay.

Nash.

By the time he gets to his big brother's room, little Grayson is crying. It's not hard to wake 10 year old Nash, given the loud storm. Sure Nash might act annoyed that one of his brothers is coming to sleep in his bed again, but he knows Skye wouldn't even let his siblings into her room, let alone into bed to comfort them. Nash sits up and makes room for his younger brother. He hugs him, rubs circles on his back until he's calm. Maybe he tells Grayson that thunder is just the cloud people going bowling. At some point they're joined by Jameson and possibly Xander (if it happened to be a really loud storm) Maybe he teaches them that you can tell how far away a storm is by counting the seconds between a lightning strike and thunder. All four brothers piled into one bed, Nash between Grayson and Jameson because "you're squishing me Gray!" They all doze off counting the seconds between lightning and thunder. Nash would not admit that he was a little afraid too and liked the company.

For the longest time, Nash is the person the three younger Hawthornes seek when they're afraid at night. Nightmare? Run to Nash. Hear something, but you can't find what made the noise? Run to Nash.

The Brothers finding comfort with each other throughout childhood. Of course, Tobias Hawthorne could appreciate the bond the four boys had. Until Grayson is around 8 or 9 and the old man says something about Hawthorne men not being afraid of anything. Maybe he even says he expected little Grayson to grow out of this already and that's enough to make Grayson stop going to Nash or Jameson when he gets scared. Grayson. Little Grayson, covers wrapped tightly around himself wiping away tears from the worst nightmare ever. Grayson telling himself that he can't disappoint his grandfather by not facing his fears. Little Gray might relay what was said to Jamie and Xander, but he still makes room if one of them needs comfort in the middle of the night. Grayson's sleep quality steadily declined. If he couldn't talk himself out of the fear from a nightmare he would just force himself to stay awake.

Grayson Hawthorne Headcanons- when he was younger

He took ages to sleep. Playing chess games with himself, trying to draw the world map by memory literally did anything to fall asleep faster

Sometimes when he had nightmares he would just lay in bed knowing that Jameson would come to his room first. Once he did they would talk about things (never about their nightmares) but just in general. Once he knew Jameson was asleep he would finally sleep as well

Always took care of Xander even if it meant being the uptight brother

Wanted his mothers attention so would draw her cute cards and gave her flowers that he had dug up from the gardens

When he was bored, if his grandfather was at home he would follow him around sometimes discretely to see what he did and how he acted (he wanted tips on what to do once he got the fortune)

Being super young, Grayson sometimes wondered down corridors, just so he could get lost and then maybe he would get a little attention and someone would come find him

Instead he just found his way back to his room because obvs he's extremely smart

He also made up a lot of games for him, Xander and Jameson to play when they were younger

Always asked Nash for advice before doing anything because he didn't want to do it wrong

Never or barely cried in front of everyone because he didn't want to be seen as weak

He was a quiet child in class but always put his hand up to give the answer

Liked it when Jameson joined his school because Jameson was able to make friends in a heartbeat with literally everyone

Didn't trust his friends completely but he did enjoy spending time with them

His favourite extra curricular was Photography which he had joined because he had wanted to create memories that lasted forever

He is naturally good at drawing/art.

When he was small and the boys had a maid he would tell her "Please could you style my hair so it looks neat?" Cared about his presentation when he was like 6 years old

Also was always so so polite. His teachers always complimented his manners in parent meetings

Great at sports especially cricket but he's not really a fan of how long the game is

Whenever he wanted something he would whisper it at first "Could I please have the crayon?" He had to repeat himself like twice before the other children could hear him

Wasn't necessarily a shy child but he was quiet compared to Jamie

Jamie and Gray always get compared by teachers "You sure he's your brother? He's the complete opposite"

Anytime any child made eye contact with him he would give them the sweetest smile his dimples showing.

He didn't have very close friends but everyone in the class liked him so he was voted for class president quite a few times

His uniform was always so clean like there would not be a spot of dirt on his clothes. He was a clean child.

Unlike Xander who always had paint splotches down his shirt

When Xander was super young like 4 years old, all 3 of them would go to Nash's room and make him read a bed time story on Saturday nights

Slowly this tradition changed to Grayson also getting a part in reading. Xander and Jamie would fall asleep and so whenever it was Jameson's turn to read he had fallen asleep

Nash would ask if he wanted to sleep here as well but because Grayson likes to be independent he would leave to his own room- half an hour later he would creep into Nash's room and sleep next to Xander

Also still liked spending time by himself. Finding a comfy corner in the library to read his favourite book to escape for a bit- he would usually find Jamie here as well seen as though he loves reading

When he was quite young he insisted on having an opticians appointment because he thought people with glasses were smarter. Of course he turned out to have 20-20 vision.

He is the most hot fucking person in the whole of Hawthorne house (had to add this because i couldn't leave it at 29😭)

this idea is random, yes, but it came to me at like 2am last night and idc if you don’t like it <3

Jameson would make thirst traps on TikTok and everyone would loose their minds

Alternatively, Jameson makes POV TikToks that are hilarious and cringey, yet you’re invested

Libby posts the cutest little baking videos ever! (I’m very enthusiastic about this one)

Xander posts the most random crap you’ve ever seen on a social media page. He will post any dumbass thought that comes to his silly little brain.

Grayson doesn’t use social media often but when he does, it’s usually just a picture or two of cool places, events, people, etc.

Jameson, Xander, and Nash are always kinda ‘flexing’ their gfs on social media. Not in a toxic or creepy way, but more in a ‘haha my gf is so amazing I’m so in love’ kinda way.

Max and Avery start a podcast and post videos from their podcast.

Nash doesn’t usually post dances or anything, typically just cool or generally interesting stuff, but when texas hold’ em got popular, he danced his little cowboy heart out

Avery posts the most absurd ‘get ready with me’ videos. They can go from a date with Jameson to a trip to the White House and either way, no average american can relate to it🥲.

The entire group posts a lot of videos together doing fun stuff, talking, etc. A lot of collabs take place and people absolutely eat it up.

Xander will post the occasional prank video on his brothers.
