Chicken Run 2: Dawn of the Nugget (2023)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my favourite movie at two years old, so this is obviously not biased.

This one is up there for my favourite movies within the last two years. Bella Ramsey was such a great addition to the already lovable group.

I love the continuation of this story because the first movie ended with a neat and tidy finish. It was such a good representation of new generations changing the status quo. Every character is just as funny as the first film, and while this one may not be as quotable as the first one, it is a future classic.

(My favourite from the first film is said by Babs: “My whole life flashed before my eyes! …It was really boring.”)

I would not be upset if we got another Chicken Run in the future.

The DCEU panel was great and really excited for both “Shazam 2″ and “Black Adam”!!! :D The trailers they revealed were awesome and The Rock’s entrance was amazing. Also confirmed Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller will be in “Black Adam” as well and there are projects in the future for the Justice Society of America members too. But so disappointed about Henry Cavill not showing up and Deadline and other sites that reported it are going to take a major hit in credibility after posting false rumors.

One of the treasures in the collection of the Ross County Historical Society is a hand-painted banner on silk. In 1848, presidential candidate Zachary Taylor visited Chillicothe to campaign. The organizers of the event offered an incentive to the township which sent the largest number of people to the rally - this beautifully painted banner. The Whig organization in Liberty Township was the winner.

The image shows Zachary Taylor at the Battle of Buena Vista, a conflict he won with a force of 5,000 men against an army from Mexico thrice its size. Across the bottom of the banner is painted his slogan from the battle. Standing beside Taylor is Colonel Jefferson Davis, future president of the Confederate States of America, and Major William Bliss, the general’s chief of staff.

Unfortunately, the delicate condition of the original doesn’t allow it to be displayed at this time, so we had a replica made for display. That’s the one at the top of the first photo.
