Lookit them both! The simplicity of Frisk’s gown next to Sans’ more complex outfit, not to mention the soft lighting against their backs. Also is it just me, or do others find it so awesome to see Sans’ different expressions when his smile kind of stays the same? Just that simple tilt/lowering of his “eyebrows” gives him an entirely different look, which is awesome to see in pictures like these. Just...gah. <3

...AND SPEAKING OF SANS I really do wonder what he’s thinking.

(Except not really, because I know exactly what he’s thinking because I write his brain xD)

Character Quirks

Lately, I’ve been feeling like my characterization of Undertale characters is kind of static.

Meaning that I fall back onto the same quirks/oddities of characters time and time again. Not that that’s necessarily bad thing, because their quirks are what make them so lovable to begin with. xD But I started wondering if maybe there are other quirks/details I can use and reference, to try and expand my characterization some more. 

So I’m writing down the characterizations/quirks that I use and that I’m aware of, and if any of you have more to add, reply/add a comment/etc and let me know. Maybe not even a personality quirk, but single instances in the game that are sort of strongly representative or iconic of the character (Undyne’s store-bought noodles and Sans’ blue stop sign pop into mind, for some reason). 

Here’s what I know of, and what I generally reference when I’m writing Undertale characters. If you guys have got more, add them!

Oh oh whens the next chapter? Im loving your story. No I'm not trying to rush(I'm procrastinating writing my own next chapter) but anyway great story. Oh right this is an ask... Um potatoes?

Potatoes are good...but full of starch. :c I wish they were full of vitamin C instead...

Chapter 5 of BEV (if that’s the story you’re talking about? xD ) is in the works, and hopefully I’ll have it finished by the end of this week. I’m starting a new job though, so there’s that kind of period where I’m settling in and getting to know the ropes and everything. But if my inspiration juices continue to flow as they have been doing lately, then yeah - end of the week, I’m hoping. :3

Is that watercoloring? Or paints? I don’t know much about art, but whatever it is, it’s FREAKING. BEAUTIFUL. Like that scene is on a whole new level from the way I described it in BEV, this is just too beautiful for words. I wrote that the other six angels were just surrounding the seventh, but I absolutely LOVE how you drew them reaching out towards the seventh, like they’re not even important to the story of the angels because the seventh one is the one they’re all reaching towards. And how the seventh angel, the entire mural, is larger than life, how Sans and Frisk look so small and insignificant underneath her...

It all works perfectly. Beautifully!

In your story beneath the echoed veil, is sans some kind of boss monster ?

He is indeed! Though Boss Monsters work a bit different in my stories than they do in canon. 

In BEV, Boss monsters are basically a special type of monster (like in canon). They’re not immortal, they just live very long lives. They grow up at the same rate as other monsters and humans, but their upper years can extend a few centuries. x3 And children aren’t a requirement for growing older, they just do so naturally.
