Intermission

Before I make my next post, here’s a look at Arieh’s companion and Machlah’s familiar.

Arieh, being that type of person to name something/someone meaningful, named their companion swift “Jedidah” because it means beloved/friend in Hebrew. I mean, Jedidah is a pretty good friend to Arieh when they are alone and she helps out a lot.

As for Machlah, they didn’t really thought of a name at all until Arieh suggested Alvah’s name (they nicknamed Alvah “spoiled prince” or “little prince” before Alvah got his name, because Machlah is VERY guilty of spoiling and babying Alvah). Alvah means “his highness” in Hebrew.

Arieh was a bit concerned at first with Alvah, a honey badger, being around Faust and Jedidah. But things worked out in the end. (Fun fact: Honey Badgers eat snakes and birds)

The Arcana: Fan Apprentice

Arieh is a magical apprentice under Asra, but they do not own The Shop. The Shop belongs to the other apprentice, Machlah (Or nicknamed Macy).

Machlah is The Apprentice who is tasked to solve Lucio’s Murder Case, not Arieh (Arieh is a wanderer). (Machlah is also the Apprentice that worked for Dr Devorak during the Red Plague and well, you know the rest)

They were originally a placeholder for it to justify that the shop didn’t belong to Arieh since they’re a wanderer, but now I’m invested in this character hahah so expect more development for them too 😂

The Arcana Comic Collab

Here again to show the concept art of the cover page for a comic collab I’m doing with @arcanaartandlove

On the left is Arieh while on the right is Alexandra (who rightfully belongs to @arcanaartandlove ).

She and I will be drawing and posting alternating pages in our own art style, once the first page of the comic with the cover is up (I’m currently working on the first page). Not sure if there’ll be a separate blog for the comics...

Release day of each page is unknown and pending for now, as the first page is still a work in progress.

Concept for ReversedEnding!Arieh. I was inspired by both the Main Three’s and some Apprentice OCs’ Reversed Endings!

Context: We all know reversed endings happen because we feed the negative characteristics of our love interest. In Arieh’s case (in their “route”, you don’t have to romance them. You can also choose to be friends and outcome would be same), their new friend/partner fuels their corrupted love for nature, self-inflicted loneliness and fear of burdening said friend/partner.

What happens: Arieh makes a deal with The Devil to free their friend/partner. In exchange, they give up their human form/humanity and become a monster. The Devil uses Arieh’s corrupted love for nature and turned them into a plant nymph with (destructive) phytokinetic powers. Vesuvia is then mysteriously riddled with plants for months, with livelihoods affected (no lives were taken. Arieh made sure it didn’t hurt people unless the plants are harmed by people. Even then it didn’t kill people, only injured them). The friend/partner seeks to the source of this mess, and realise it’s Arieh (even though they are barely recognisable at this point). They either choose to stay safely with Arieh or convince Arieh to come home with them.

Thinking of making a fic/comic for this. Anyone interested?

This is my drawing of my Arcana OC Alexandra (Orange hair) with @offsetteodette‘s OC Odette (Purple hair) and @teddythaddaeus‘s OC Arieh! (Black hair) Arieh is helping Odette choose flowers for her mothers birthday! They like to help out at Alexandras shop when they can. Alexandra is also making a flower grow in her palm.

  This is the first drawing I have ever done of Alexandras flower shop. She can make plants and flowers grow at will. She can also make them whatever colours she imagines which is why there are pink, purple and blue flowers everywhere. 

It took me SO LONG to make the background because I don’t usually draw buildings >.> <.< and colouring the flowers was fun! Especially creating pink purple and blue sunflowers (which are inside the shop) I guess they’re “moon flowers” now. And the roses are my favourite!
