(Feat. Mary Jane but she’s a man)

Honestly I love drawing Lani so much at this point, developing her story and her relationships and how other characters in her story are important. Tho I’d be lying if I didn’t say her and Miguel are definitely Enemies to Lovers type shit

But it’s more like the typical “Black Cat gets fascinated by Spider-Man” trope so take that how you will. Lani isn’t exactly like most Black Cats. She’s actually meant to be Lilly Hollister but if instead she was Felicity Hardy’s daughter instead of some completely other person. I figured well hell, why not mix the two for Lani since her mother was the original and she’s just meant to keep her legacy going. Lani only really doesn’t like Miguel because he gets in the way of her and Marlyn’s plans but Marlyns more open to making an alliance than she is. Her reason is just that she feels as long as she can do it, there’s no reason it shouldn’t work out. More so because of her Bad Luck power as well. But nonetheless she does her best to be a good teammate.

“White is the new Black”

Lani is her universes Canon Black cat, and has tragedy hit her path almost anytime it can. You’d think she has bad luck instead of giving it. But her life doesn’t define her character. She is a very cunning and smart person. Trained by her Mother, Black Cat, and further training was done by herself with research. After the incident with the factory and her body combining cat and human DNA, she had to do whatever necessary to hide her identity and her powers as well. She decided to get gold casings over her fangs to make her undetectable and for no one to question the state of her fangs as well.

She is a trained and highly dangerous individual especially when angered. Because her anger holds that similar to the anger of a tiger or big feline. She tends to make up her own plans and never fails, only sometimes. But enough for her to learn from her mistakes as well. Her best friend, Marlyn Jane Watson, also works with her as the “Red Cat”. Both of them keeping the original Black Cats legacy alive.
