BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Haddock Argo Heritage: Son of Elwinn and Naria Argo   Past Self: Hypnos
Age: 23 Position: Lord Prince House: Argo Alliance: Unaffiliated
This character is portrayed by THOMAS MCDONELL and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
He followed after his brother out of the womb, but one would never guess they were only minutes apart. Haddock was born second, and he would remain second for reasons far beyond a title and a crown. His brother attempted to shelter him, Eva attempted to break him, but both had been a rigorous task. From a young age, the boy struggled to find a place for himself, to discover a characteristic that set him apart from his siblings, to fit into their dynamic. He loved them both, but he could not possibly maintain the charisma and livelihood they possessed, and they would never take him seriously. Only in his dreams could he become the boy his parents would adore, the one his brother would respect. It was in sleep that he would discover that which he sought.
It started from an early age. He would shut down, engaging his silence within a stone fortress as easy as flipping a switch. Hiding away within his chambers while his siblings did their bidding, he would allow himself to drift off into another world and become as potent and prime as Eva and Thane. Soon enough however, he found his calling. Bringing to life the hero he appeared as in his dreams, he found that he was able to calm and soothe with his voice alone, singing a song that could coax the most troubled minds or taking them to another place with his tales. It was as if he took the pain of others for himself, and it started with a small girl in their village who suffered from night terrors. When he found her however, she was too far gone, and when she took her own life, Haddock’s world came crashing down. Regardless, it was a task unfinished, and he set out to continue it with others. He was the bringer of peace in wake of the chaos his sister caused and the grief his brother left behind.
It was no difficult decision. He would follow his siblings anywhere in hopes of not only keeping them together but also to keep them from causing more strife or sadness than necessary. He sees no future for himself, and he has long since given up on the happier aspects of his dreams coming to life. He has no qualms about swapping his consolation for another’s sorrow, and he has always put the needs of others before himself. He refuses to wallow in his own self pity, and he now focuses solely on his sister and her preparation for marrying into the royal family. His only concern is what follows such empowerment.

WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE...
After the Vitellos were dethroned and his parents reclaimed as King and Queen of the Vanguard, Haddock’s role has significantly changed. There is more pressure on him than ever, and his family remains in more danger now than they ever have been before. Even if the field in which he navigates is different, he will continue to do the same that he has always done.
PAST SELF
In Greek mythology, Hypnos was the personification of sleep. He was the twin brother of Thanatos, and his mother was Nix , his father Erebus

CONNECTIONS
Thane Argo: He knows his brother’s intentions are good, but he fears that Eva’s influence will destroy him in the end. They are walking a very difficult path, and Haddock worries.
Eva Argo: He knows how little she thinks of him, and it hurts most because he loves her anyway. He hopes that one day she will see that.

Prompts are sent out! They are just the starting point, so if you want advice on where to go, are confused in general about what the hell is going on, or want to change your prompt, let me know! You’ll notice they have one thing in common: the barrier between this place and the godly realm, the very order of the natural world, seems to be cracking, and no one knows what it could mean.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Serina Odell Heritage: Daughter of Hagan and Thora Odell Past Self: Selene
Age: 22 Position: Lady Princess House: Odell Alliance: Unaffiliated
This character is portrayed by JESSICA PARKER KENNEDY and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
As a child, Serina Odell padded along the streets of Esterhaven beside her brother, staying out until the Sun had long since set and the Moon began her journey across the sky. Guards were not needed; the people of her city adored the girl and would go through any lengths to protect her. Whenever her mother would reprimand her for her easy trust and faith in the world, she would merely smile, for how could she not stay out at night? She was in love with the stars and the Moon, and as their realm was the late hours, so became Serina’s. She would spend hours staring up at the night sky, hiding from the ladies in waiting her mother sent after her. Her mind would wander as she pictured herself up amongst them, drifting in reverie.
As a teenager, Serina Odell laughed easily, drank often, and was usually found trying to outdo her brother at whatever games he attempted. She was the prize and joy of Esterhaven, and she fell in love with many of its citizens in return, which was something that came as easy to her as breathing. Late in her teenage years, however, she developed a terrible sickness that left her bedridden for months. The light hurt her eyes, and thick curtains blocked out her view of the outside world. Her brother was kept apart from her, afraid to contaminate the only heir to the Odell fortune, and books became her sanctuary. Through the slit in her wall, in the dark hours of night, she would catch glimpses of the Moon continuing her journey without any care of life on the ground. In those dark months, the Moon was her only companion and the only thing that allowed her to hold onto the pieces that had once made up Serina Odell. Eventually, her sickness would pass, but the camaraderie Serina felt with the Moon never vanished. She became practically nocturnal, walking through the silent city that felt entirely empty of life at night.
As an adult, Serina Odell claimed the night as her own. She learned every secret her beautiful city had to offer, but as monsters that belonged in the stories she had once counted on as sanctuary came to life before her eyes, she and her family made their way to the Lion’s Keep. It’s an entirely different world in Westedell, and it’s a world that isn’t kind to young women trying to find their place among the bustling daytime world once more. Wives killing husbands and children killing for their mothers… the capitol, at least in her eyes, was chaotic and barbaric. She found herself missing her home with each passing day and only found relief when the Sun set and she could stare at the stars again. It was comforting to know that no matter where she went, the stars would shine with her.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE...
Her family has managed to stay out of the huge turmoil the Keep offers, playing the part of the neutral kingdom. While she might not agree with her family’s stance, Serina has begun feeling as if it is her duty to participate in the politics of her new world. For better or for worse, she is now a princess of Esterhaven, and she plans to make the most of it.
PAST SELF
In Greek mythology, Selene is the goddess of the moon. She drives her moon chariot across the heavens. Several lovers are attributed to her in various myths, including Zeus, Pan, and the mortal Endymion. Both Selene and Artemis were also associated with Hecate, and all three were regarded as lunar goddesses, although only Selene was regarded as the personification of the moon itself.

CONNECTIONS
Halford Odell: Once upon a time, the brother and sister were entirely inseparable and always trying to outdo the other. After her sickness, it seemed there was a wall between them, but even now, she’s attempting to scale it and gain back their childhood closeness.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Estelle Lariviere Heritage: Daughter of Garamond and Ihrene Lariviere Past Self: Euryale
Age: 25 Position: High Priestess House: Lariviere Alliance: Cronus
This character is portrayed by KAYA SCODELARIO and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Weak. Sad. Pathetic. These were all words Euryale was intimate with. She was born beneath the heart of Mount Olympus with her sister, but she did not possess the same viciousness that would become attributed to the women. She was content to remain in the shadows, hiding away from the world as she dreamed of a place where she wouldn’t have to do such a thing. When Medusa was seduced and punished, Euryale was still content to remain in the shadows as her two sisters took the fall. She hadn’t done anything wrong, after all. She hadn’t caused the trouble. Unfortunately, the gods were not feeling merciful that day, and Euryale was punished with the rest to turn into a hideous monster.
Despite it all, Euryale became familiar with the life of a Gorgon, and once again, she was content to remain as such. She didn’t long for adventure or revenge. She simply stood by and dreamed, suffocated only by the restraints she put on herself. When Cronus offered the sisters a chance to live again as mortals to enact their punishment, Euryale was the only one who hesitated–but her hesitation was not enough, and she was dragged along with the rest. Was it too much to want nothing more than to remain as was? To just simply exist? There was nothing out there for them; no one would see them as anything more than monsters. Euryale firmly believed that their wuest for revenge would result in failure. After all, they were dealing with the Gods—weakened human gods, but Gods nonetheless.
Even as a mortal, Estelle Lariviere still views herself as the monstrous Gorgon she once was. She wants nothing more than to return to the shadows she was born into, hiding away from the peering, judgmental eyes of the world. As her sisters once again drag her along to finally earn their revenge, Estelle finds herself wondering if this world was any better than the last. She finds herself growing more and more upset with the treatment received by her sisters. More than anything and perhaps the most unsettling of all, she finds herself more willing than she ever has been to rebel against her sisters, stopped only by her fear of loneliness in a world who was against those reborn as monsters and beasts.
PAST SELF
Euryale, in Greek mythology, was the second eldest one of the Gorgons, three vicious sisters with brass hands, sharp fangs, and hair of living, venomous snakes. [More Here]
CONNECTIONS
Mina Lariviere: Is this hatred she feels in her heart for Mina? There’s no doubt there’s resentment towards the woman who caused all their trouble, but Estelle is afraid to utter the word hate in regards to her sister.
Serafina Lariviere: Estelle knows Serafina only longs to protect her, and she allows herself to be coddled by the woman. After all, she doesn’t have to be strong so long as Serafina is.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name:  Portia Vitello (née Carrington) Heritage:  Daughter of Zion Vitello and Dhiane Carrington Past Self:  Persephone
Age:  24 Position:  Barmaid (former Queen) House: Vitello Alliance: Olympian
This character is portrayed by ARDEN CHO and is currently TAKEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Portia never knew her parents. Her mother had passed during childbirth and her father, well, the girl only ever knew him by name. She was raised within the hallowed halls of the Cromwell residence, allowed to live under the same roof as her lord and lady. For this reason, Portia never fully understood the hardships of poverty. Though she would never amount to anything in the endlessly complicated, tangled line for the throne, she also never lived her life a slave. She was happy, well-dressed and well fed. The Cromwells took care of their own, and so, up until the day she turned eleven, she was allowed the privilege of being Alycia’s playmate.
After she surpassed that age, however, Portia was given other duties: handmaiden. She learned how to cook and clean and mend. Though she’d often stare out at the noble children running about the castle in yearning, how could she deny the Cromwells when she owed so much to them? Portia worked relentlessly until her skin cracked from washing too many clothes; until her brows were lined with sweat from the work she was expected to do; until Alycia Cromwell gave her the glorious news that she would be accompanying her to the Lion’s Keep as her handmaiden. It was almost too good to be true. She would be allowed to walk around the capitol with her head held high. Nobody would question her birthright. If anything, they would suspect she was a highborn for her position as handmaiden to the fiancée of the prince.
Portia had only heard stories of the Vitellos and their valor. She was ecstatic that her lady would be wed to the youngest son, though she personally thought Alycia deserved better. After all, her lady took the time and effort to dress her in pretty silks and treated her as if she were a companion instead of a lowly handmaiden. For that, Portia was grateful and swore her loyalties to the woman. She would do whatever her lady needed, but that wasn’t her only intention of following Alycia to the King’s castle. She was desperate to put a face on the name of a man she knew to be her father; to finally settle all the demons that plagued her dreams during the night; to finally understand who she was in the great expanse of things. Was she really worth nothing in this Realm or will she, like the flowers she so dearly cares for, soon be ready to bloom? That question was left unanswered, however, with the King’s passing. She felt no pain –– only some regret that she didn’t get to know the man. Portia lost one of her purposes for being at the Lion’s Keep, but there was still much to do ––– more questions to answer.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE...
She fell in love with Holden Vitello, but was hesitant to move forward with the relationship because of the vast difference in social standing. However, with the uprising against Antony and Alycia’s rule (and her subsequent ‘imprisonment’ within one of the towers in the Keep), Portia came to place love above all else and accepted Holden’s proposal. She became a quiet, supportive figure as Queen ––– never spoke too much in front of the scrutinizing gaze of those who thought her unworthy of such a position. However, when the rebellion occurred and she was not only dethroned but had to watch Lady Alycia being executed... the severity of it all took a toll on her once vivacious temperament. Now, she lives in a shack with her husband and Alycia’s two children: Antoinnette and Peyton, working as a barmaid to provide for her family. She’s tired of all the fighting –––– all the death. She just wants it all to end.
PAST SELF
Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter. She was the goddess of springtime and, after her abduction by Hades she became his wife and Queen of the underworld for six months of each year. The mint and pomegranate is sacred to her. Persephone raised Aphrodite’s child Adonis. She was also known as Kore, “the Maiden”. She symbolized the sprouting seeds of springtime. [More Here]
CONNECTIONS
Zion Vitello:  Portia held slight contempt for the man who was said to be her father. It was a contempt mixed with awe, longing, and curiosity. Now that he's dead, she feels the same way she does about him as she does her mother who died during childbirth.
Alycia Cromwell:  Alycia Cromwell had been the one constant in the entirety of Portia’s life. She would have done anything for her lady and would never deny her a thing. Portia served her well as Queen and she was absolutely devastated when she died. They had a bit of a falling out when it became known that she had feelings for Holden Vitello, but Portia never stopped loving her.
Amos Harper:  Amos is a very good friend of Portia’s. As the most honourable knight of the Cromwells, he accompanied them to the capitol, and made it his duty to protect the both of them. He served her when she became Queen, but Portia hasn’t seen him since the rebellion.
Holden Vitello:  Portia knew very little about the man except for his title. But as she saw more and more of him around the castle, she saw sides of him he kept hidden from the eyes of the pulbic ––– his vulnerability and his compassion... and the handmaiden fell in love with a prince. She became his Queen, but not all tales have a happy ending. They were dethroned and now live in a shack with Alycia’s two children, struggling to survive.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Halford Odell Heritage: Son of Hagan and Thora Odell Past Self: Helios
Age: 23 Position: Lord Prince House: Odell Alliance: Unaffiliated
This character is portrayed by ALFIE ENOCH and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Halford Odell was always up with the Sun, living every single day as if it were his last. His mother once said that he himself carried the Sun along the sky, beginning and ending his day on its time and only venturing into the darkness of night when his sister was able to keep him out late. With a smile that lit up all of Esterhaven, he, like his sister, became a staple in their kingdom. He was always happy, spreading joy with a solid joke or a theatrical tale that could entertain every skeptic in attendance. Merry drinking, thrilling games, and humorous pranks were his forte, and having the boy around was an absolute joy people longed for. He lived, laughed, and loved with as much vigor and light as the rays of the Sun, and he never allowed anything to prevent him from doing so. Eventually, however, things came to pass that would tarnish that childish mirth the boy carried.
When his sister fell ill, his desire to be out in the daylight, lit up by his personal spotlight, began to falter. The light hurt her, and with him being banished from her presence, he felt as though he and his light hurt her as well. He would sit outside on the balcony of his room late into the night, staring up at the Moon in hopes that she too was doing so. He found solace in the bond he held with little Amelia, taking her under his wing and projecting all of his brotherly instincts onto the girl. He loved her as much as he loved Serina, but there remained a void that could not be filled. It was plain to see the effects that the sickness had on the man to everyone in town, the light in his eyes fading substantially to the point where it was worrisome. Nonetheless, he did his best to proceed, but it was evident that he would never be the same boy they once knew, especially with a new found threat.
Migration to the Lion’s Keep was an idea that Halford neither combated nor embraced warmly. So much had transpired and changed that the man was only trying to hold onto himself in the wake of it. With his sister now healed, he was sure that he would heal his own wounds, but now that there seems to be a large chasm between them, he only struggles more, knowing that they remain isolated when it is no longer necessary. Currently, his main priority is to protect his family, namely Serina and Amelia, whether they need it or not. In addition, he continues to search for that light he once commanded in hopes that it may lead him back to his sister but with fears that it may also drive them further apart.

PAST SELF
In Greek Mythology, Helios was the personification of the Sun. Homer often called him Titan or Hyperion while Hesiod separate him as a son of the Titans Hyperion and Theia. He is the brother of the goddesses Selene, the moon, and Eos, the dawn. He was described as a handsome god crowned with the shining aureole of the Sun, who drove the chariot of the sun across the sky each day.

Darius Ross: When they took Darius in, no matter how short of time, Halford immediately felt a pull to the boy’s incomparable joy. Halford loves him like a brother even after he fled Esterhaven, and he now hopes to find answers and perhaps mend their relationship in time.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Amos Harper Heritage: Son of Darwin and Helena Harper Past Self: Adonis
Age: 29 Position: Knight House: Cromwell Alliance: Olympian
This character is portrayed by CHARLES MICHAEL DAVIS and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Boyish good looks, oblivious charm, firm fidelity, and a deep need to defend those who cannot defend themselves… As a boy, Amos only wanted to do what was best for others and care for his family in any way that he could. In that, he would live the way that his father had before falling in battle. When disease wiped out the majority of his village, taking his mother and two small sisters with it, he did not falter. His mother had always stated that it was vital to never waste a moment of life, and she had always worn the brightest smile, even in sickness. With her words playing as a cadence in his head, he left his homeland to find sanctuary, and, he pledged his allegiance to House Cromwell when he stumbled into their lands intent on finding his place in the world.
Upon entering House Cromwell, the boy found himself overwhelmed with love and acceptance alike. Women tend to flock to him, fussing over him at each opportune time and ranting on about how handsome he is. As a boy, Amos payed little mind to such endeavors, withdrawing himself when possible to continue mastering his skills, namely the bow and arrow, the weapon his father wielded. He is now renowned for this skill as well, rivaled in the realm only by stories of one daughter of Zion, a Pemberly. The two people that he pays some semblance of attention to is Alycia Cromwell, who seems to be enamored with him although he does not understand why, and Portia Carrington, who is a breath of fresh air because she does not outwardly fawn over him like all others do. They became his close friends because two women offered him the warmest welcome when he entered Highmeadow. He sticks close to them for the comfort they offer, more so Alycia, finding a surrogate for all that he lost back home.
Amos is dedicated to his training, and when he isn’t in the field, he is out hunting or practicing excessively. He is prepared for anything, and he hardly pays attention to much else. He gets along well with everyone, and although he doesn’t understand why so many of his fellow knights seem to envy him, some to the point of disdain, he doesn’t allow it to hinder their relationships. With change moving through their home, Amos is doing his very best to adjust, and he has taken Alycia’s marriage in stride. He feels as though he will miss his friend dearly as she tends to her newfound duties, but he knows there is no point in worrying over it. His job is to protect the house and aid them in their rise, and he is able to do that by protecting her and Portia, his two most precious flowers, in the Lion’s Keep.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE...
He failed. His life had shaped to protect two women, and he failed them both --- one perished, the other lost her title. In the aftermaths of the Vitellos’ fall, his title of knight was stripped, and he is lost. They called him charming, but what good was it to be charming when it failed him, failed Alycia and Portia, failed the whole of the Realm? For the first time in his life, Amos Harper finds himself alone, and to earn a living, he has begun to hire himself out as a private knight of sorts for those with the money for his services. There is shame attached to it, but what else is a man like him supposed to do?
[ written by former admin: Rey ]
PAST SELF
Adonis is the god of beauty and desire. He was a lover of Aphrodite and described as a “beautiful youth”. She sheltered him  as an infant and entrusted him to Persephone. Persephone was also taken by his beauty and refused to give him back to Aphrodite. Zeus settled the dispute, giving them joint custody. He is an annually-renewed, ever-youthful vegetation god.
[More Here]
CONNECTIONS
Alycia Cromwell: She was his closest friend, and he is very protective of her as a Cromwell knight. He never understood why she thought him so special, but he never questioned. With her death, he feels he failed both her and Portia.
Portia Carrington: Portia is a nice break from the women who overwhelm him with pointless compliments and that of the like. He adores her character deeply and enjoys her company. As Queen, he served her loyally and longs to reconnect with her.
Ashlynn Pemberly: He set out long ago to be a master of his weapon of choice, the bow, but whispers from around the realm speak of a certain daughter of Zion being just as good as him, perhaps better. He does not feel envy or disdain. He is only curious of this notorious huntress.

Note
do you have an Ares?
Sorry for taking a bit to answer your question, little bird — yes, and no! Unfortunately, Ares was…. Um, how do I say this without crying? Him and Aphrodite were executed by the wildlings at the end of their little rebellion, much to the dismay of everyone ever in the city. So while we don’t “”technically”” have one since he’s, ya know, dead, he’s not available! We’ve got a bunch of neat dudes though, if you’re interested.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Celine Reece Heritage: Daughter of Hendersen Evans and Perella Reece Past Self: Circe
Age: 34 Position: None House: None Alliance: Unaffiliated
This character is portrayed by LANA PARRILLA and is currently TAKEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Deep in the woods, beyond Westedell but before the thick trees give way to where the free folk make their homes, there is a clearing where a large mansion soaks in the sun. Hendersen Evans built this home with his wife; he was a carpenter and she was a member of the wildlings who’d pulled him from his mundane life. He’d fallen impossibly in love with her, smitten from the moment they met.
Of course, that was because she was a witch. Not a kind one, either.
The free folk only associated with her when they absolutely had to, needing her singular talents and the blessings her gifts could give. When she saw the handsome man, she decided she wanted him; after he’d given her the daughter she desired, Perella rid herself of him. She raised her daughter alone in the middle of the woods, only the occasional passerby or visiting wildling for company. It was a solitary way to grow up, and as Celine grew older, she realized she didn’t particularly care for her mother’s ideals and misanthropy. She pulled away and away and away, but there was nowhere to go when her mother could catch her every time she attempted to leave; eventually the house was full of nothing but arguments between the two women—and the screeches and squawks of the creatures she had created from humans when they could not pay her mother what they owed her for her powers. While Perella could manipulate thoughts and emotions, Celine could twist physical forms. And she had no qualms about using it to her advantage.
Years passed. Despite her mother’s occasional control of her moods, Celine grew stronger, and increasingly vivacious. Even Perella couldn’t live forever, and Celine found herself alone one day—and while she thought she’d be relieved, it was lonely. The free folk fear her and animals are no better company than the men they once were. She’s traveled a bit, but never for too long; she’s met people, but never had anyone particularly impress her (save for one man, but he wasn’t hers to keep.)
Perhaps… it’s time for a change of scenery.
PAST SELF
KIRKE (Circe) was a goddess of sorcery who was skilled in the magic of transmutation, illusion, and necromancy. She lived on the mythical island of Aiaia (Aeaea) with her nymph companions.

Full Name: Thane Argo Heritage: Son of Elwinn and Naria Argo   Past Self: Thanatos
Age: 23 Position: Lord Prince House: Argo Alliance: Unaffiliated
This character is portrayed by BEN BARNES and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Thane Argo had always found a certain comfort in the blanket of snow that seemed to constantly cover the North. While others only saw a desolate wasteland, Thane saw a world softened by the touch of snow and a place to call home, despite its harshness and stiff people. As the oldest child of the Argo family, Thane has always been the one his parents looked to. From the age he could walk, his parents took him along to battlefields, but instead of basking in the bloodbaths he was shown like his sister, Thane would find the injured and ease their pain in whatever way he could–herbs, bandages, and in some cases when it was needed, the blessing of a quick death. He thought that wounded soldiers of the battle were pitiful and also very brave for having even participated in the fight. Thane didn’t believe that they should suffer up until death and did what he thought was his civic duty to ease their pain.
The young Argo never had the innocence of a long, happy childhood. Much too soon, he was learning the art of killing a man. His father firmly believed those who dealt out the sentence of death should swing the sword, and by the time he came of age, he was doing exactly that. He cleaned up the messes Eva left behind, and although he’s often avoided by others for being the bringer of death, he bears no ill will towards anyone. His primary concern is neither justice nor war—he merely concerns himself with protecting his family, his name, and the Realm against itself. There was so much war—so much fighting. Blood was shed for the tiniest of faults and though he too had to pass out sentences, he did as he was told so his siblings wouldn’t have to.
With a heart of iron, he is known to his own lands as merciless and indiscriminate in his judgement. However, it’s not uncommon for him to seek solace in the lonely forests around the Argo home and gain wisdom from the howling of the wolves prowling through the woods. While Eva has always been the one to strengthen the family and Haddock has always been the one to keep the peace, Thane was the shepherd of his siblings, guiding them whenever he could. When Eva informed them of her betrothal to Holden Vitello, it was because of his nature that he agreed to accompany her to the Lion’s Keep with his brother. His ties are not to his land or his title but to the family around him—and that is what makes him different from the monsters the people of the kingdom claim him to be.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE...
After the Vitellos were dethroned and his parents reclaimed as King and Queen of the Vanguard, Thane’s role has significantly changed. There is more pressure on him than ever, and his family remains in more danger now than they ever have been before. Even if the field in which he navigates is different, he will continue to do the same that he has always done.
PAST SELF
Thanatos was the god or daimon of non-violent death. His touch was gentle, likened to that of his twin brother Hypnos (Sleep).

CONNECTIONS
Haddock Argo: While he was only born a few minutes before his twin, it’s clear Thane has always acted as the older of the two. Since the two look very little alike, it’s easy to take it upon himself to protect his brother from the harshness of the world.
Eva Argo: Thane holds no falsehoods when it comes to his sister. He knows she is as wild as the winter storms that sweep through their land, but as he is her older brother, he doesn’t let that stop him from protecting her however he can.

BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Marcellus Balor Heritage: Son of Isiah and Charlene Balor Past Self: Menoetius
Age: 24 Position: Lord Prince House: Balor Alliance: Cronus
This character is portrayed by RICHARD MADDEN and is currently OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY
Out of all Cronus Allies, Menoetius has just as much reason, if not more, to put an end to the Gods’ happiness in the Realm. He was a God of violent anger and human mortality. In all senses, he was a personification of the fragile, minuscule lives of the humans that populated the Earth. Though he was known for his quick temper, he was relatively harmless. He occasionally dabbled in the art of interfering with human affairs, but what God didn’t? He was no exception and they were hypocrites if they wanted to spite him for following the norm. There was no harm in meddling with the lives of humans; at least he and the other Gods didn’t think so. It was done daily and there was no one to stop it. There were no qualms between him and the other Gods.
Despite such philosophies, Menoetius was imprisoned in Tartarus along with Cronus after Zeus struck him with a thunderbolt. His anger boiled; his hatred festered. Menoetius cultured and nurtured his contempt for the so-called “Father of the Gods and men.” He was the first to offer his help when Cronus looked to the heavens with intent of climbing out of the pits of Tartarus. He let his thirst for vengeance fuel him and with his brothers and sisters, Menoetius emerged from the abyss as a changed man with nothing but the rage in his heart; that was all that remained. The harmlessness—the more human side of him was left behind at the bottom of the pit. He had no use for it with what he intended to do now that he was free from his chains. Menoetius wanted death, fire, and destruction. He wanted the Gods to suffer as he so unfairly had to do and looked to Cronus for support.
With it, he willingly descended down to the Realm and posed himself as Marcellus Balor, a Lord among thieves and bandits. Marcellus used his parents’ connections to get himself counsel with Hypatia Vitello. It was no secret the Queen hated her husband’s bastard daughter. He expressed his interest and suggested an unspoken alliance between his family and theirs should they be wed. The Queen accepted; it was almost too easy. As the beasts of the legends attack the seven kingdoms, Marcellus plots the Vitellos’ demise. And almost too simply, the King of Gods died at the hands of a mere animal. Marcellus was there on the hunting trip with the man when he witness the unheroic death. Too easy. He is as cruel as he is ruggedly handsome, intelligent as he is ruthless, and as fair as he is hellbent on instilling justice. He is Marcellus Balor, a real lion among the God-incarnate trash.
WHAT’S HAPPENED SINCE...
Revolution, betrayal, a taste of the demise he had wanted. He was with his family every step of the way of their plotting, and he stood beside them as they brought down the Vitellos. It was not as satisfying as he had hoped; his own betrothal was shattered in the process --- but it was a necessary result, no matter how clever a companion he found Astrid Vitello. She’d been a key factor in bringing down the Vitellos with her extensive knowledge and actively participated in plotting against Antony and Alycia. As such, she was given fair warning prior to the rebellion as a courtesy for her assistance. It’s a shame that the engagement was broken off; he wouldn’t have minded marrying a woman like her.
PAST SELF
Menoetius was the Titan god of violent anger, rash action, and human mortality. Zeus struck him down with a thunderbolt and sent him to Tartarus as punishment for his hybristic behaviour.

CONNECTIONS
Isiah Balor: Marcellus respects his father and takes his opinion on matters very seriously. Though his rage sometimes gets the best of him, the most important thing will always be family.
Charlene Balor: It’s no secret that Marcellus treasures his mother above all other persons in the Realm. It took him while to convince her to agree to the engagement to the bastard daughter, but he ensured her that he’d be sure to make her proud.
Aethan Balor: Aethan, in his opinion, is one of the weaker brothers. However, he doesn’t look down on him because he endured just as much as he did a while Marcellus was in Tartarus.
Everett Balor: Like his mother, Marcellus doesn’t necessarily approve of Everett’s actions, but being a God of rash behaviour, he can’t help but support his brother.
Paxton Balor: Poor Paxton, trapped in the Kingdom of the Mountain and the Vale. Marcellus feels a strong kinship with him, and intends to free him once he marries into the Vitello family.
