Comics Jake cracks me up. Admittedly, I like to think Steven's jab at the 'tache is a nod to Jake's. Like a lot of the fandom, I absolutely subscribe to the 'takes in all the strays trope', you absolutely bet I do!
In "Blind reflections" Jake is forced to open up about himself, his trauma and how he became who he is. This is a quote that I wrote today
🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕
"I don't enjoy killing. I've never... I've tried so hard to enjoy it, that's my sin. If I just enjoy it, everything can be so much easier, I don't have a choice either way! And I've been through feeling nothing, but that's somehow worst! I don't enjoy killing but I should, that's the whole reason that I am here and maybe, maybe if I lie to my self just enough others would believe it to. But there is always this voice in my head, screaming at me to stop so loud that I can feel my lungs bleeding. And you know what the worst part is? This voice is just me, me again being who I am, denying to be a villain with every breath I take I prefer suffering than bringing pain to others- but what does it matter! It doesn't! At the end of the day my acts make me a killer and there is nothing I can do to change it."
Jake is forced to act like "the strong one", the getting it done guy, working as a killer for Khonshu and adopting the characteristics he thinks he should have. He wishes he could disappear into this role so it wouldn't hurt. He knows he is nothing put a puppet and what makes it tragic is that he still sees what his body is doing behind his eyes. Why can't he be "the evil one" so Marc and Steven could have a normal life -no, so he can fall asleep without drowning in pain.
✨ comment if you want to be tagged when I upload the first chapter, I would really love the support ✨
You know all the "Doctor Strange Astoprojects the mk system and we cinematically see the three alters slipping out of the body.
But but but hear me out!
What about Dr. Strange trying to push one person out of his body and failing because it is actually a system and he needs more strength to push them away.
So Strange would hit their chest multiple times expecting something to happen but uh-uh nothing and poor Steven tries to get away from him.
Eventually he puts more effort and manages to do something, that is making Jake front by pushing Steven away from the front and suddenly gets slapped by him.
Jake gets into a fist fight with Strange while Strange tries to use his powers to teleport Jale away from him.
Eventually he manages to astroproject them for a second and he sees Jake and Marc splitting from the body holding hands until Steven pulls them back in.
They are together in this they won't let anyone separate them, Strange needs to try harder.
A three panel comic abt Taweret meeting Jake in @hhhhleb ‘s little!jake au
[Id: a three panel comic done in pencil in a notebook
Panel one: Taweret bends down to talk to Jake. He is very small compared to her. Taweret says, “Aww, you’re such a cute little one”
Panel two: Jake doesn’t like this comment and angrily points his gun at her
Panel three: Concerned, Taweret tries to take the gun away but Jake won’t let go. Taweret is now holding the gun up in the air while Jake stubbornly dangles off of it. Taweret says, “Oh dear, love, give me that. You’re going to hurt yourself.”
Steven doesn't mask a lot. Although i bet he worries about certain social interactions, that man wears his heart on his sleeve and is happy to just stim with/info dump on anyone who will let him (it's me, I'm anyone.)
Marc, on the other hand, is constantly masking. He's always worried about how he comes off in situations and if he was too rude or blunt, he probably even rehearses conversations and thinks about what he did wrong when he gets home.
Did you know there is another Jewish marvel superhero with DID? His name is legion and well this is a literal scene from the show:
We do need a crossover with moon knight please make it happen!
Just know that in the show his DID is very vague they focus more in his schizophrenia so yeah it is complicated representation for sure as you can tell
