Game of minds part 1

Genre: Romance, manipulation
Length: medium
It was late at night. Erendor was standing at the window of his office, observing the night. Everything was quiet around him. The silence was heavy, reflecting the king's troubled mind. His blue eyes were lost in the dark daybreak of the cold winter. Half of his angular face was enlightened by the dim light of the fire from the fireplace, the glow shining golden on his long blond waves.
His beliefs and his education forced him to keep a straight posture, even though he was alone in the room. If he had been any other man, he would have crouched on the window-sill. But Erendor was not a regular man. And neither was his son. This was precisely what troubled the blond man; his son's longing to be "normal". It had been his idea to switch the name of his son with the one of his squire. It had been all planned. The prince's security was at stake. What Erendor had not planned was his son's growth. He was proud of the man his son was becoming, but it seemed that a lot of values his education was built on were slowly perishing. That, Erendor could not fathom.
The king glanced over his shoulder. There was a stack of magazines on his desk. The tabloids were addicted to a new face. A fairy and her best friends. They were so young, and yet, they were so loved. No doubt that these girls would grow up to be very influential figures in the magic dimension.
A sigh escaped him. Another one.
Leaving the window, he went to his desk. Slowly, he reached for one, but before his hand could touch the magazine, he jerked it away. Sighing once again, he crunched over the wooden desk, putting his hands on it. Damn him. The whole situation was frustrating. The fairy was a complete paradox. How was he supposed to shape his son if the latter was so weary of his own father's ruling? Sky had voiced many times over the past years how he did not agree with Erendor's ways. How absurd!
Erendor's attention was drawn back to the door. He could hear his wife's voice on the other side. A second later, the door opened on her. She was dressed in her night robes, a long dressing gown over it.
Closing the door behind her, she watched her husband. Of course, she knew what was bothering him. A quick glance at his desk and her suspicions were confirmed. She looked away, recalling the multiple conversations she had with their son.
Erendor watched her. He knew what she thought of the situation. He knew what she wanted. And no matter how much he cared about his wife, and how much he valued her opinion, he found it hard to share her view.
"Erendor..." She said, getting closer.
"I have told you, Samara! I do not want to play with the future of my kingdom. It is but too risky."
"I'm not telling you to marry her to our son the moment you agree to give her a chance."
"See, this is the issue here. I'm cornered by you, by Sky, by these!" He said, pointing to the magazines. "I'm tired of being pushed over." Samara rolled her eyes. "Do not roll your eyes at me, Samara! It is not a game."
"Nobody said it was," she answered calmly.
"Ha! Nevertheless, you all act as if it was a game. Giving her a chance, you said," he scoffed, "a chance implies risks as much as it implies success. I will not gamble on the fate of the kingdom!"
She looked up at him, a hint of spark in her eyes. Noticing it, he squinted his eyes at her.
"What is on your mind, wife?"
"Here is the thing. Who said you had to gamble?" Erendor was now curious. A sly smile transformed her face. "We know of her heroic tendencies. We also know she loves our son. And truly, the part of risks you assimilate with her is a consequence of her education, or rather, her lack of education. Am I right?"
"Yes, you are. However-" he started but was cut off.
"She does not have any party favoring her. No pedigree whatsoever. I am well aware of this, dear husband. But look at what she could be giving us." The queen's voice was stable. Strong. Her arguments were sharp. She knew where she was going. "She might not have blue blood, but she has a reputation, and certainly not a bad one." She took one of the magazines. "Even those mediocre publishings have a high opinion of her. She is, after all, a hero." She saw his eyes squinting, even more, an indication that his brain was making connections. "Imagine what it could be if we were to officialize their relationship. The Golden Prince and the powerful and unstoppable Guardian Fairy ?" She let the information sink in. "Forget about her lack of education. Make sure she spends her summers here and this will be dealt with. She shall learn!" Finally, she backed down. "Then, and only then, will they be the most powerful couple the magic dimension had ever seen. Heraklion will be elevated to another status, Erendor! Not royal, but celestial!" At this, Erendor's eyes shone. "She does have potential. Maybe more than any good party we know of."
The silence following her tirade was deafening.
Solemnly, the king set his eyes on his wife, hypothesis merging in his brain. Yes, maybe the fairy was something they could use.
-------------------------------------------------
I'm really happy with how this turned out! Really, the couple being ruthless toward Bloom is something I love, because it only builds the cliff they will fall from when Bloom will be acknowledged as princess Bloom of Domino, and not just a commoner. They are calculating and manipulative. There will be a second part where they decide to spy on her.
I want to thank @gins-potter for letting me use her modifications of Erendor.

Rain on us
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stella could not believe her eyes.
She had been summoned by her father’s council, King Radius of Solaria, to join him for a visit to Heraklion. When she had first received the missive, she had feared that her parents had heard she was linked to the catastrophe that had occurred at Red Fountain a few days before.
However, it was not the case.
The princess was safe. Out of all the girls, Bloom was the one having it hard. She was the one people pointed at in the corridors of the school. She was the one who they called the crazy psycho. Sky and Brandon were the ones responsible and yet, her best friend was the one harassed. It even went as far as to be published in newspapers. Thankfully, Miss Faragonda had managed to protect Bloom’s identity so far but everyone in Alfea knew it was her.
In the missive, her father had explained how he wanted her to join him on a trip to Heraklion. Stella had laughed. She had laughed so hard that tears had streamed down her cheeks. Sky’s, or rather, Brandon’s face had appeared in her mind. She loved the damn fool and yet he had played her like no one else.
She had trusted him.
She had confided in him things she could barely accept.
She felt anger toward the specialist but also sorrow. Re-reading the letter for the hundred times that night, she could not bring herself to mention it to Bloom. They both had it bad, but Bloom was very bitter about it.
No. For now, Bloom did not need to hear about it.
Stella had sat down on her bed, her head low, the missive still in her hands, her vision blurred by tears. She feared what could happen. She did not want to face Brandon. She was not ready to face the boy. He had become her sour spot before she could even realize what had happened. She looked lost in thoughts. Her eyes were fixed on the far end of her bedroom. She would go and if she happened to see him, she would ignore him. No matter what it took. There was no point in wasting more time with him.
Yes, that was how she was seeing things. Her mind told her to move on. Her heart… She didn’t want to listen to it. She had listened to it once and now she was heartbroken.
Another thing worried her. Usually, princesses didn’t join political appointments, not at 17 at least. What was the goal of her joining her father on Heraklion?
What if… What if Radius wanted her to meet someone?... No. He would never! Or maybe he did know about the whole Red Fountain crashing a party and had had enough of her behavior. She had spent her time with a squire… Really bad move, indeed. At least, according to the etiquette she did not bother with most of the time.
Yes, maybe Radius had had enough.
That night, the girl couldn’t sleep. She was due to visit in a week. She was already done. A week meant seven days of pure torture. Why couldn’t it be the next day so she could be over with the whole thing quicker?
Dreadful. It was dreadful! Slowly, she laid down in bed and waited for sleep to take over her mind.
The night was chill, and she could smell the wetness of the air.
It would rain in the morning.
Paradoxically, the sun and moon fairy found the wet and foggy atmosphere peacefully acquainted with her mood. Her windows wide open, she stared at the night. Just like the sky, her mind was clouded by thoughts and soon, tears would fall from her hazel eyes.
Yes, it would rain in the morning.
It was three AM when Brandon and Sky finally made it into their shared bedroom.
There was no light.
They both had had to join a meeting that lasted most of the evening and the night. Sky’s royal father had been clear. The situation was bad and the ‘disgraceful and utterly infuriating events’ were about to be dealt with. Attorneys were ready, and that crept the prince like nothing else. The fire fairy was in a lot of trouble. He hated the situation. Sitting on his bed, he was pulling out his hair, angrier than ever. He had to find a solution. There was no way Bloom would be able to stand up for herself in front of a court.
Brandon was equally as worried as he was. However, something else was on his mind at the moment. The king had mentioned the following weeks' events. Spring was a very important time period for the kingdom. Most celebrations happened during this time. The next weeks were full of ceremonies the two boys were not supposed to attend this year.
Still, the king had been clear.
Prince Sky shall attend them this year.
Why? Oh, just the ‘disgraceful and utterly infuriating events’ of Red Fountain. Technically, Brandon was out of trouble. Oh, he had been yelled at by not only the king, but the General of Heraklion, his trainers back there and, of course, his father, but then he had been forgotten about. Yes, by getting closer to those girls they had put Sky in danger. Revealing who he was in front of thousands of people was not smart and extremely dangerous. Yet, people tended to forget that the two boys were just… Boys. Teenagers that, for the first time in their life, had the occasion to experience life as normal teenagers. They had messed up but putting Bloom in court was too much. She was no terrorist! No wonder Sky was pulling his hair out.
Stella… Was she going to forgive him? The king had talked about political meetings and a list of kingdoms and their royals visiting had caught his attention. King Radius was set to visit in a week. Tomorrow they would travel back to Heraklion, and then, he had a week to plan how he would talk to Stella. It was the perfect occasion! She would have to understand! Being on Heraklion and knowing a little more about the current situation there would only play in his favor! It was his chance! Brandon was worried yet impatient! The week would be long, he knew it.
And what a week! It had been raining a lot. No sunlight had allowed him to feel better.
The squire felt like a stranger to the palace. He had spent most of his childhood following Sky around. He had basically grown up here. But that week, everyone had been watching the poor guy. They had glared at him. Soldiers had made jokes about his actual capacities as a squire. Some even insulted him to the point of reproaching him to have forgotten that being a prince was just a role. Brandon knew it! He had not especially liked this role. Being observed by everybody was something he had hated. Being called out by other specialists because life had been kind to him was tiring. He had grown so much respect for his best friend.
No, being a prince was no fun! He hated it! So, being called out by soldiers because he had supposedly enjoyed the whole name swap too much was just insulting! He had not mentioned it to Sky. The prince had already too much to deal with. Between following his father around, having to deal with Diaspro, and trying to convince his parents that Bloom did not deserve what they were planning on doing to her… Yes, Sky had much more pressing issues to deal with.
He knew Stella was set to come today with her father. He had spent the week focusing on his job to clear as much free time as possible for when Stella would come. He was waiting near the main staircase, where royals were welcomed. He was standing there, straight, his arms aligned with his body. Along the walls of the room were standing fifty other guards. Usually, he would have been with Sky, but the king did not want the two boys to stay together. He had argued that spending so much time together had been problematic. Sky had rolled his eyes, but Brandon could not have afforded such a behavior. He had looked down and had bowed respectfully.
It had rained. Rained so much that Stella had drowned. A day? Two days? How could she know when, in reality, it had been cloudy?
Dark.
A fire had burned, but the rain had extinguished it. Bloom had been mad.
But it rained too much.
All that Stella knew was that she was now on the planet she loathed the most at the moment. It was beautiful.
Beautifully sour.
She could not stop wondering if he had played in those corridors with his best friend. Had they played race games in the gardens? Had he played in the green grace during hot summers?
Her long celestial orange dress contrasted so much with the weather, with her mind. What is it? The king had asked. Stella had shrugged and had shut him out. She did not want to talk. She did not want to talk to anyone.
And the day became hell quickly. How bad could rain be for the princess of Solaria? She had seen him. He had looked at her like she was the most precious thing in the magical universe, and she had hated it with so much passion…
Passion.
They surely did share it.
He had tried his hardest to stay close. He had even tried to switch guard duties with other guards to stay closer. And when he had been successful, she had ignored him.
He was mad. He was furious. She could infuriate him like no one else. She was stronger than him. Stella was a force of nature. She appeared unmoved, sometimes polluted by his presence when in reality she had been experiencing a thunderstorm. She was a princess… The way she carried herself around the palace. The way she had talked to the queen. The way she had prodigiously acted as if she was meeting Sky for the first time when they had been introduced. The way she slaughtered Diaspro when they were introduced. The fairy was smart. Royal kind of smart. No one had realized how much she hated the two betrothed. Sky had felt like she was dragging a dagger down his spine. Diaspro had been thrown off by her sneaky comments. The princess had class, and yet could slaughter anyone just with a glare.
He loved her.
On the second day though, he had had enough. Entering Sky’s suit, he went to his best friend who was getting ready for another -boring, unnecessary- meeting with the council.
- You must help me. I can’t take it anymore!
- What is it? Said the prince without looking up from the mirror.
- Stella!
- Stella?
- I want to apologize!
- Well, do it.
Brandon looked at the blond guy for a second. He eyed him and then, took out his cellphone and gave it to the prince.
- Okay.
- Why are you giving me your cellphone?
- Well, he said imitating his friend’s tone, do it.
- Do what? Answered Sky while tying his blue tie.
- Call Bloom your stupid highness and apologize since it is so easy!
Sky chocked loudly, having tied his bow too tight when hearing the fire fairy’s name. Brandon just looked at his best mate, a satisfied smile on his lips.
- Do it!
- Are you insane!?
- Oh, I’m sorry… Seemed like you knew what you were talking about.
- What is it with you today? I’m not in the mood!
- Does his royal ass want some strawberries dipped in gold?
- Okay you decided to be an ass today. Fine! And I thought you wanted my help!
Sky bypassed him and was about to exit the room when Brandon spoke again.
- Alright! Sorry! You are actually in much more trouble than me anyway.
- Well, my pare-
- Bloom would murder you from Magix if you dared call her. The girl is freaky when mad.
Sky turned once again toward his friend, a dead serious look on his face. He was not playing around when it came to Bloom. The situation was bad. Exhaling loudly, he went toward Brandon.
- You are not helping me, I swear.
- Well think of it this way. If I talk to Stella, she talks to Bloom and your royal ass is saved from roasting.
- Do you think I’m joking around? Bloom is… I don’t even know how she is doing. It’s killing me!! I get to be the “player” in the story when literally, it is a life-or-death matter!
- I get it Sky! You are stressed out and-
- I will tell Stella to be at the green garden in an hour.
- How ar-
- I will pretend the queen wants to see her.
- Well, yes, that could work.
- But I’m warning you. Stella is smart! She will know that it is our doing! She might not even come.
- She would never turn down the queen’s invitation!
- Yes! But once again, she isn’t stupid. If she does come, you will have what? A minute to convince her to listen to you? So be smart!
- Yes, don’t worry!
- I’m out of here.
Brandon didn’t ask anything else from his friend. He knew the prince had too much on his plate. He was already grateful for his help. Sky might have appeared cold and annoyed, but Brandon knew that his friend cared about him. He also knew that helping him meant helping himself. Maybe, if Brandon managed to talk to Stella, Bloom would be more open to Sky’s explanations.
An hour later, Brandon had found his way toward the Green Garden. It was by far the most beautiful part of the royal domain. No one could see them behind the high bushes and the weeping willows. The queen had designed the whole area herself. It was desperately intimate and romantic. Heraklion Victorian’s atmosphere at its highest.
She came, knowing what was awaiting her.
Was she ready to face him? No.
Did she want to talk to him? Desperately, yes.
She had made her way between the high bushes, the wind blowing her golden locks away from her naked shoulders and tanned skin. There, under the biggest weeping willow, their eyes met. She stared at him blankly. He took a deep breath, matching the sweet breeze wandering around them.
- Sky is under high protection. Terrorists are after him. I am his squire. I actually grew up with him and we became friends because we spent so much time together. Switching identities was the idea of the king. Going to Red Fountain is required, mandatory actually since the training is more than excellent. So, being his squire, I had no other choice but to comply. Soon enough, I was prince Sky. I was taught royal etiquette. They taught me how to dress, how to talk, how to act… It was all an act. I am far from being the guy I portrayed. No, Stella, my role was to play a prince, but I never played Sky’s role. Just like he never played mine. Deep down we were the same boys, just with different titles and attitudes. Sky never stopped being caring and kind. I never stopped making ridiculous puns and being quirky. I just acted more royally and Sky less… Royally.
She looked at the guy for a long time. She was processing all the information.
- Telling you who we are would have been considered high treason. I could have lost my job and put Sky in great danger. There are people out there Stella, he pointed over the palace, that wants him dead! I-We-I wanted to tell you so badly, but I could not risk his life.
Stella looked over the palace. Her hazel eyes scamming the horizon.
- Not telling you who I really am was like making you fall for another guy, pushing you into his arms when, in reality, all I wanted was to get rid of those ridiculous clothes and this pompous accent and make a crappy joke about Codatorta or even better, my own idiotic self!
Hazel eyes went back to his. He could see her brain working out all the elements. But, actually, all Stella could think about was one thing.
One single thing.
Terrorists.
Terrorists were after Sky? So… During all this time, they were after… Him? She hated it. No. He had been the target of rebels for this long and she had been made about a name switch? A name switch that implied that she had fallen in love with the bravest man in the magical world.
She hated him.
She loathed him.
Suddenly, two arms encircled his torso, tears shed his uniform. Cries were heard. His heart was warm once again.
She loved him.

Droidia Industries, more commonly known as DroidiaLife was a huge company specializing in androids and cyber beings. What people didn't know was that for the past twenty years, Droidia Industries had been working on a new kind of android. Actual Humans were conditioned from birth to think like robots, act like them, and process the world around them as androids would.
Tecna had been the very first Driodian ever. Both her parents, Electrio and Diona, along with ten other engineers, had founded Droidia Industries. Using their own daughter hadn't been an easy choice. However, the results were astonishing. Tecna could basically think like a computer, if not better. What her parents had not planned were her magical abilities. She was seven when she first showed signs of magic, ten when she was able to fly, and twelve when she transformed for the first time.
Their daughter was the proof that technology and humanity could be one.
However, they had failed one thing. Tecna could think like a computer. She was smart, ad yet, she was emotionless.
The only emotions she had ever displayed when mechanical, and robotic. She struggled to understand the most basic human feelings, let alone the most complex ones.
Meeting the Winx had changed her. She was used to living with a group but never had she lived with actual human beings. Now she was living with five fairies. And none of them were like her. They all had emotions. They all expressed their feelings in different ways. Their emotions were loud and clear. At first, Tecna struggled for many weeks. She would get headaches right after breakfast. She feared the cafeteria and the corridors. So many noises. Too much chaos. How could people be so loud? She did not understand how they functioned.
Two years later, she managed to adapt to her surrounding. She adapted well to her friends. Now, she had to face the most complex and brain-shattering emotion ever... Love. From what she knew? love was just an emotion secreted by the brain. So how was it possible that her heart squeezed every time she saw Timmy? How was he so brilliant while being completely human? That... That she couldn't understand. At first, she thought the boy had lied all along. He had to be a droidian too! His parents probably worked as engineers like hers, right? But no, Timmy's parents were not engineers. His father was a handyman and his mother was a healer. How was this possible?
No Tecna did not understand love.

Hey! Hope you enjoyed this one! It's short I know. It's just a small character-building because Tecna really needs one. I don't like what Rainbow has told us about her. It's so weak and plain. So I decided to use the original pilot "Magical Bloom" and a bit of my imagination.

Bloom was sitting in the living room of her home. It was one of these rainy days. Gardenia was located in a region where temperatures were often low and days short. Even during summer, it would rain at least three times a week.
Usually, the house smelt of eucalyptus, but today the house smelt fresher due to the laundry hanging in the corridor leading to the backdoor. It was raining too hard to hang the clothes outside.
Bloom was trying to read a book that had been sitting on her bookshelves for over a year now. But it was hard to read fantasy books without comparing them to Magix. She was sitting in the love chair in front of the veranda. She was only wearing a t-shirt and cotton shorts with socks. She felt cozy there. There was nothing more normal than the rain tapping on the window, the velvety touch on the back of her tights, the weight of the book on her lap, and the calm of the house.
In a week, she would leave her home and follow Sky back to Heraklion.
A small smile appeared on her lips. She was a little bit nervous. However, she also felt pleased about the step they were taking. After two years of conflicts, impossible love, rejection, and despair, his parents gave them a chance.
Samara had reached her first, but surprisingly, Erendor had shown interest in Bloom. He had suggested to his son inviting Bloom to some events.
Their first week was already planned. Bloom took the paper from the small wooden coffee table next to her. On it was listed the seven days of the week. She counted at least three balls, two charity events, five receptions, and one travel to the capital to inaugurate the renovation of a monument.
Reading the list once again, Bloom felt her head grow heavier. Anxiety was starting to build inside her chest. People would see them together. They would be followed everywhere. Every pair of eyes would be set on her.
Bloom took a deep breath. She remembered the day Sky turned seventeen. She had learned the hard way that there was a law protecting heirs from menace such as paparazzi until their seventeenth birthday.
That day, Bloom and Sky were on a date. It was very simple. They watched a movie at the theater and ate in a cute coffee shop. It was nothing too fancy.
The following day, thousands of pictures of them were plastered on every magazine in Magix. And, of course, Bloom was the main topic of every talk shows on Heraclion.
Her outfit had been dissected. Poor thing had only been wearing a pair of low-rise jeans, a white knitted shirt with flowers on it, and white sneakers. Her parents had put a lot of money into these shoes.
But still, she had been called unclassy, trashy, and undeserving of their prince. No one dared to mention that Sky had been wearing a sweater, jeans, and sneakers too.
Here on earth, that was how people dressed. But in the magical dimension, you had to wear many colors, put some make-up on, and dress in short clothes. Anything uncomfortable in her opinion. She liked wearing dresses and skirts, but not every single day. Her fairy outfit was already too glittery and revealing to her liking. She struggled a lot with the way she looked. She hated her waist, mostly her hips. She was already small, and her hips only shortened her more.
They had criticized her for holding his hand while walking, and god forbid, for sharing a kiss.
Would that happen again? Stella had explained that Bloom's outfits would be taken care of by the royal stylists. She did not have to worry about a group of old Heraklionish ladies passing out on seeing her sneakers.
Her parents still didn't know. And even though she was supposed to leave in less than a week, Bloom feared their reaction. They often felt left out because they didn't understand everything happening in her life. They could barely register that Sky was royalty. Let alone what it meant to be involved with him.
Her dad was in the garage. His car had broken down. He was repairing it with the help of his neighbor. Vanessa was on the back porch, talking to her grandmother on the phone.
Bloom took a deep breath.
"I just want some peace. No stress."
That's when her phone biped. She put down both the paper and book and took her phone. She had a few missed calls from her friends, a notification from a game, and a new text. She saw Sky's face, and next to it, a text.
"I'm bored to death over here. School is empty. I can't wait to see you Monday. Call me tonight? "
She smiled at her phone. She could tell he wanted to ask her if she had talked to her parents about her decision. But being the charming prince that he was, he took her anxiety into consideration and decided to restrain his curiosity. If she had done so, he would already know.
Suddenly, she could hear her parents talking on the porch. She decided to join them.
Mike was sitting on the porch's handrail while Vanessa was sitting on the swing. She had been drinking her herbal tea while reading a book. She was in a brown dress, barefoot.
Bloom loved seeing her mother like this. Vanessa always looked peaceful. She reminded her of Flora. That was probably why the latter was such a good roommate to Bloom.
"Bloom, darling!" Vanessa said, offering Bloom a spot next to her, "come under the blanket, you will catch a cold."
She noticed how anxious Bloom looked. She was holding her phone hard.
"Are you ok Bloom?"
"I'm alright mom. Don't worry. I just need to talk to you two about something important."
Vanessa looked at Mike from the corner of her eyes. He saw his wife's glare and sat down on another bench, closer to Bloom.
"It's about Sky and me. " Both adults shared a look. "It's nothing bad, I promise. Actually, it's great news." Bloom took the letter from her shorts pocket. "Sky's mother sent me this letter right before the end of term." She gave it to her mother. "Read it."
Vanessa started to read the letter while Mike stood up to read over her shoulder.
"Bloom..." Vanessa murmured. "Bloom, this is amazing! It seems like she is finally comfortable with the two of you dating!"
"Yes, it seems like it!" Bloom said with a small smile on her face.
"I don't like this. I don't like this for so many reasons." Announced Mike while glaring at the paper. "Why now? And why does she want you to stay there for so long?"
"So they can be together," said Vanessa, rolling her eyes at him. "Must I remind you that they spent a week here last holiday?"
"It's not the same!"
"How is it not ?"
We were always around. I don't trust that boy!"
"That wasn't his idea dad. Stop acting like I'm a child."
"Oh but you are a child!! And he is an eighteen years old boy! You don't know what they have in mind." Vanessa let out a small cry of exasperation.
"As much as I agree with you on this point, Sky is different from most of these boys, remember? He has more class and respect than any boy I know. Cut him some slack."
"I will not. If I do, who is going to look after her? It's my job!"
Vanessa only rolled her eyes at him and focused back on Bloom. "I assume you already said yes, otherwise you wouldn't be mentioning this to us." Bloom nodded, "when are you leaving? "
"Monday morning. I will be back in three weeks to spend the rest of summer with you."
Vanessa smiled at her daughter. She was truly happy for her. She hugged Bloom while glaring at a very unhappy Mike.

Sitting in the bus, her legs close to her chest, Bloom was looking at the forest passing by. She was exhausted. It was not even the end of the term yet, and she felt drained. Learning about a new world meant learning about the cultures, the history, and the important people... Bloom had to catch on to centuries of history and a dozen of planets. Every day she had to adapt. Her head would hurt at the end of the day, most of the time.
She was hyper-aware of everything. Always. Her brain barely got time to assimilate a concept, before another one was smashed into her brain cells. Reading a book was impossible. Listening to music resulted in a translation class. Watching TV hurt her brain and her eyes. A conversation among people who ignored her origins would end up in awkward silence where Bloom would feel stupid. Rejection had become a constant feeling in the back of her head. Bloom always thought about how lucky she was that Earth had, once upon a time, been part of the magical dimension. Thus, Latin evolved similarly the same way in both dimensions. She was lucky her English was close enough to their Magixian. She was even luckier that Earth Latin, and so modern English, was still studied among higher hierarchies, meaning that all her teachers could understand her essays. Even though she sounded weird to most of the students, her friends understood her well. Stella had been thought Earthian languages at a young age, and Tecna, being an intellectual, had managed to master it on her own. Another person who understood her well, if not perfectly, was Brandon. She could remember him explaining why he could understand her language so well.
"You see, your English is mostly an evolution of Latin dialects and Germanic dialects. The Latin heritage English holds mostly comes from ancient French. And this is precisely why I understand you so well. Earthian french has the same linguistic evolution as Heraklionish does. It's not the same language, but its roots also being Latin, the very same as the one earthlings used to speak, Heraklionish sounds and works the same as your French. And since your English descends partially from French I can understand you."
She had been so impressed by his explanation... Finally, someone had managed to explain to her something as basic as language without losing her on the way. From that moment, Bloom had unconsciously started asking him for help when she was struggling with a notion.
This was the reason why she was on the bus. Brandon had advised her to purchase a collection of volumes that would help her grasp what was common knowledge in their world. The only problem was that the collection was too expensive for Bloom. Working at the White Horse for a year could not even pay for a single book of the collection, let alone buy the seven books. Bloom was not sure how Brandon knew about these books. After all, being a squire was not considered a well-paid job, right?
Of course, her friend found a solution. He asked her to come to Magix. Bloom was still unsure of what he had planned, but she couldn't refuse his help. No. She couldn't refuse to spend some time with that boy. The one who smiled at her with the most honest smile she had ever seen. The one who was so kind to her. The one who had the deepest shade of blue eyes. Ah, those Egyptian blue eyes...
After a long ride, the bus stopped at the center of Magix. The sound of the flying cars buzzed in her ears. She was still thrown off by the traffic. On earth, she would make sure to look from the left to the right before crossing the street. Now she also had to check above her, which she always forgot to do. She would never do it. And so, she started to walk on the crosswalk when a hand grabbed her elbow and pulled her backward. Bloom yelped at the sudden contact, while another hand went around her other arm.
"what the hell!"
She saw Brandon looking apologetically at her. He quickly jerked his hands away from her warm skin, one head scratching the back of his head while the other pointed above them. Bloom looked over there. She grimaced, almost slapping her forehead. A spaceship was going down as it was trying to insert itself into the traffic line. She could have been killed by the aircraft. She sighed.
"You need to be more careful, Bloom. I know it is not easy for you."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be." he smiled at her.
The two teenagers stood there for a moment, looking into each other eyes. A loud noise resonated in the street, breaking their connexion.
They both blushed deeply, enamored smiles on their lips. Bloom noticed Brandon was still scratching the back of his head. Realizing this habit of his made her blush harder. What was going on? She did not understand her reactions. She tried to suppress the pleasant feelings in her guts. She herself had a habit of playing with the ends of her hair when embarrassed. He had noticed it too. However, the boy had also noticed that when she was feeling guilty, she would put the tips of her index fingers one against the other while looking down at them. Right now, she was not doing any of those things. She was twisting her ankle. What did that mean?
They were so caught up in their feeling that they did not realize they were blocking the passage. An old man bumped into Bloom, shoving her to the side. She managed to balance herself before falling to the ground. Her friend grabbed her by the elbow, but she barely noticed.
"Hey! Next time you might want to shove me directly on the road you fu-" she shouted, but Brandon stopped by gently quizzing her arm.
"Are you alright?" he asked, distracting her.
"Yes, thank you." She sighed. "What is it with old people being horrible here?"
"You know, most are a few centuries old."
"Well damn. That's old!" She laughed. "On earth, most people live up to eighty-something, and they are so grumpy."
"Well, I wonder how you would feel as an octogenarian! Don't make fun of them, you might regret it."
"Yes, karma is a bitch." she said, smiling up at him.
"Karma? What's that?"
"A sort of belief. Karma is basically what you gives would call destiny."
"I see."
Bloom thought that her explanation was not very good, but the concept was too far reached for him to understand it, so she did not bother. Plus, she wasn't sure she could explain it properly.
An hour later, they were both sitting on the ground of a bookstore. Brandon had found a small bookstore selling vintage books at a reasonable price. So they were both going through books in the History of Magix section. For Bloom, the whole store was breathtakingly beautiful. Books were flying in every direction. The roof was charmed to look like a night sky. Small creatures of light were zapping all around the space, leaving lines of sparkles behind them. The place smelt of wood and paper. And the lights were candles. There were no employees, only a huge cat sitting at the front desk, looking at some documents. So this was just a regular store? Bloom loved Magix so much. She felt as if she lived inside her favorite novels.
Brandon had already found a good amount of good references for Bloom. The pile of books stood next to him, towering over Bloom's.
Hidden behind her book, she was observing the specialist. How fast could that boy read?! Bloom was floored. She could see his eyes zapping over the pages. He would mumble words, close the book in his hands, and put it on the pile he thought the book belonged to. He had made three stacks. One for the books that would go back on the shelves. One for those he wanted to check again before making a decision. And the last one for the books he was sure would help her.
Bloom glanced at her pile. Three books. Nothing else. She grimaced, a little bit embarrassed, at her pace. She was a fast reader but compared to Brandon, she was slower than a peanut.
Finally, he stopped. He was reading a book that interested him enough to actually read it, forgetting a little bit about his mission. Bloom glanced at the title; "The history of the nine kingdoms".
"The nine kingdoms?" she asked, her voice a bit weak.
Brandon looked up at her. He looked as if he had forgotten she was there. But he quickly recovered. Her sweet face and curious eyes made him smile. He looked down at the book, then at her.
Bloom saw him smile before carefully standing up from the ground and sitting beside her. The bookstore floor was packed with piles of books, making it difficult to navigate between the shelves. So he had no choice but to sit down next to her, their arms touching, their thighs brushing against one another. Bloom repressed a shiver when she felt his muscular thigh on her bare leg. She stared at it, almost squinting.
"The nine kingdoms are a sort of group. A union of nine kingdoms. The nine most powerful ones. Well actually, now it's more like the eight most powerful ones, but that's another topic. The nine kingdoms are listed here, see." He pointed at a map representing the magical dimension. True to his word, she could see nine planets' names.
Magix
Solaria
Omega/Andros
Zenith
Domino
Romulea
Heraklion
Lynphea
Isis
"These nine kingdoms formed a group. They would help one another in terms of commerce, magical knowledge, technology, science, engineering, and many other things. Being the most influential and powerful planets allowed them to help other planets too. Their power mostly depended on their actual magic. Take Lynphea for example, their beliefs and link to nature forbid most of their people to be violent. They have a sort of militia. A part of their magical creatures, elves, are known to be great fighters, but outside of that, they rely on the magic of their lands to manifest power. They are brilliant in my opinion." Bloom could only nod. "Solaria and Isis are similar in their function. You see, they are both known for their taste in fashion mostly because they trade a lot of raw materials. Isis has the most unique diamonds and gemstones. Solaria being the sun, their manufacturing skills in gemstones are also incredible. Add to that the fashion, and the arts, and they end up being the most influential planet when it comes to arts."
"Reminds me of Italy and France," Bloom whispered. "What's your planet known for?"
"Well, we don't have any particular magic. Not like Solaria anyway. Just like Andros, Romulea, Domino, and others, Heraklion has no specific magic. The first thing that you think of when you think of Melody for example is their powers of sounds, music, and voices. Well, Heraklion is known for having the most powerful army and strongest mindsets. The crown is strong and invisible. No one ever won a war against it. Also, we trade gold and diamond dust. The only place in the magical dimension that has both."
"Really, but what about Solaria and Isis?"
"They don't have any. Gold and diamond dust are unique and rare. Gold grows on a type of tree and diamond dust is a sort of powder made by stone wolves at night, and they only exist there. When the moonlight reflects on their adamant fur, they release a cloud of dust that can be used to make any material unbreakable. Believe me when I say that there is nothing rarer than these two goods! Well, nowadays anyway... Back then, Domino used to produce something cold the Blue Prunelle. A dark blue stone so rare that it was not even on the market. It holds a secret. I don't know much about it, but I was told its power was unlimited. The strength of this kingdom relied on many things like the Blue Prunelle. It was the most powerful kingdom to ever exist until the dimensional war two decades ago. Many kingdoms fell. Isis fell. Galya has still not recovered. Rot has lost so much of its population that the planet almost disappeared. Solaria's royal court was deeply affected, a lot of treason brought it to war. They were dealing with a war inside the court. Calisto decided to stand back during the war and while they were doing good during it, the repercussion of their withdrawal plagued them. Until now, they are rejected by other kingdoms. But no kingdoms faced what Domino faced. Complete destruction. Not a single survivor. The planet was erased from existence."
"That's horrible".
"Talking about Domino sort of became taboo. On my planet, no one even acknowledges it orally any longer. Heraklion took its spot as the leader of the magical dimension thanks to the power of its army and goods. Though I'm not sure why they loathe speaking about Domino. I know for a fact that Domino had a very special place in Heraklion. Both lands worked hand in hand for centuries. They were almost the same land. I think its destruction shocked many people in Heraklion. They look traumatized every time someone mentions it. The whole Dimension hasn't been the same since. Hence why today it's more accurate to say the eight kingdoms."
"I didn't think these kinds of things could happen?! How does a planet disappear ?"
"No one knows... It's so frustrating, you know. Absolutely nobody knows what happened. The planet literally exploded and to this day, no one knows how or why. "
"Exploded ?!"
"Well, yes. The planet is still there. But it's now lifeless. My father told me the planet burnt down after the explosion. It burnt for five years. It was like having two suns. And then, it froze. Completely. It is not a planet any longer. Just an iceberg barely floating in space."
Bloom felt a disturbing pain in her heart. She wanted to cry. Seeing her despair, Brandon tried to close the subject.
"You will learn about it eventually. I think it's included in your curriculum. The late Princess of Domino became an emblem in our world. You will see her figure a lot. She was the nymph of Domino, but when she died along with the rest of the kingdom, the nine kingdoms decided to make her the nymph of Magix. She is also the emblem of the union and has a very special place in each kingdom. On Heraklion, there is a whole region named after her, and also a part of the royal palace was dedicated to her and the women of the royal family. They have a very special place where I'm from because of a prophecy, a legend kinda. It bounded the two kingdoms from the earliest time imaginable. If an heir of Heraklion was to marry an heiress of Domino, the worlds would merge into one single powerful world. So, the king built The path of the Queens. A bridge that leads to the Queen's gardens on which stands 160-foot-tall statues of all the queens of Domino. No kingdom ever had only queens as leaders. Of course, they had husbands who were kings, but the crown only birthed women. Just like Heraklion only had male heirs. I think that's the main reason why people paid so much attention to the prophecy. That's rather odd."
"That is a beautiful hommage."
"Heraklies were always infatuated with Dominians. It's a story old like the world."
Oh, and how right he was! Indeed, the heirs of Heraklion were always passionate about Domino's heiresses. Prophecies were prophecies. And one day, a similar statue would stand at the entry of the Queen's gardens, acting as a closure to the prophecy. The statue of the first Dominian queen of Heraklion. The greatest Queen of all.

Time of Wars Part 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stella was coming back from the northwest side of the city. She had met up with a few smugglers with the help of Musa. These men were criminals, but anyone here was a criminal. This society was upside down. Being a criminal meant being against the rules, rules set up by the archaic and diabolical king. Both women were walking back to the headquarters, blueprints in one hand, a satisfied smile on their lips. Stella looked indecently proud of herself. She felt confident in her wetsuit and her messy ponytail. Of course, glossy lips and orange eyeshadow were still mandatory for the princess.
Musa, next to her, looked relaxed and smug. Walking with her hands behind her head, she was humming a song. She was wearing baggy leather pants and a few chains circled her waist. Her red top covered her breast and a ripped leather jacket fell on her pale shoulders. She wore sneakers with cleats, which were really useful when it came to spying. These shoes gripped any material. Her hair was shorter, right under her breast. They were perfectly straight. Half of her face was hidden behind it. She had red eyeliner and blue mascara. Stella had told her a million times how it suited her new style. Musa had only shrugged.
A few people saluted the two fairies while they entered the headquarters' main room. Tecna was sitting there, her purple hair standing out around the futuristic, rather dark, decoration. The room contrasted drastically with the one shown on the gigantic screen. On the right, they could see a picture of Bloom. Right under it, there was a blueprint of the building she and Aisha had infiltrated. Next to Tecna was Marcus. The man looked unpleased, even pissed.
True to herself, Stella decided to interrupt the quiet meeting:
“Isn't that our sweet, gentle Marcus?” Said the blond. “What do you think Musa. Doesn’t he look stunning?”
“Totally! What a womanizer…” said Musa in return, laughing a little.
Their sneaky grin and insolent attitude got them a glare from their boss. He turned toward them and bite his tongue.
“Girls! I hope you manage to get the blueprints I asked you to… Get.”
“Steal is the world you are looking for,” said Stella.
“Who do you think we are!” Said Musa, smugly. “A little distraction and the fools were at our feet.” She looked toward the blond who shared a knowing smile with her. “Like stealing candy from a baby, really.”
On the other side of the screen, Sky and Brandon couldn’t believe their eyes. First Bloom, now them. Were they really the Winx? Both friends looked at each other, then arched an eyebrow toward the rest of the people in the room. They all shared a surprised expression. Samara gasped a little bit at how the girls were dressed. Bloom had worn something sexy indeed, but seeing Musa’s outfit, the queen had a little stroke. She was certainly not used to these sorts of outfits. They were far from classy.
“Perfect!” said Marcus shortly.
“Where is Flora?” Asked Musa,
“With Tejanos and Zyrah. They are dealing with the new ships for the drones and making sure our shipments are secured and on the road.”
Both fairies nodded their head. Tecna just held her hand toward her friends, not taking her eyes away from Bloom’s screen.
“We have company girls.” She finally said while dropping a new page on the screen. A few seconds later, the Winx could see a room full of people, and then, in front, three well-built men. Stella's eyes instantly glimmered. A sly smile appeared on her lips, and she winked at Musa who snorted, already amused by her friend’s behavior.
“Well, isn’t that Heraklion’s royal council?” Sneakered the fairy.
“Still alive?” Added Musa, still looking away.
Both men couldn’t believe their hears. And their eyes. They looked so nonchalant. Musa’s remark. Stella being… Not already all over Brandon? Yes, they were different. But who wouldn’t change after so much time and war?
“Does Bloom know?” Musa asked, talking about the group from Heraklion.
“As if I wouldn’t!”
The screen opened once again Bloom’s window. She was walking down a corridor.
“Wait so she could hear everything?” Said Brandon.
“She is still able to hear everything. Hello to you too, Brandon.”
Stella laughed out loud. She was enjoying the turn of events. After what the boys had pulled on both princesses, they had it hard. They were still salty about being left behind, once again!
Sky focused back on her screen. She was now alone. But for how long?
“Well, congratulations Bloom. Your last demonstration was impressive. You left a room full of knights and soldiers dumbfounded.” Told her Marcus.
“You are welcome.” Said the redhead, not caring much.
“Bloom, according to the blueprints Stella and Musa just stole, you need to go to the east wing," said Tecna, "it shouldn’t be too difficult. I’m sending the itinerary to your eyeShip.”
“What am I looking for?”
“The routers' room. From there, I will be able to hack their system. But remember, once inside, you will only have a few minutes.”
“Right.”
“Good luck!”
As soon as Tecna pronounced those words, Bloom received the right itinerary on her eyeShip. Without any hesitation, the young woman took the right path. It would take her at least half an hour to reach it. The site was gigantic, but she wasn’t worried. Soon enough she would make it and Tecna would be able to hack anything she needed. And Bloom wasn’t alone. Darius and Aisha were close too.
Speaking of the water fairy, Bloom received a call from her.
“What’s up?”
“You better come to the north wing. We found something very, very interesting.”
“Aisha, I just got the itinerary for the routers room, I can’t.”
“Believe me when I say this is more important!” declared Aisha.
“What is it?!” added Bloom, annoyed.
“Kids.” Said Darius.
“Kids? Kids as in children?”
“Yes!” replied the young man.
“What the hell?!”
“All of those kids were listed in the folders where you found Sky’s name…” Added Aisha.
“Kidnapped?”
“Well, from the look of things, I doubt they chained themselves to the walls and starved themselves on purpose.”
Bloom was thinking fast… They did plan on kidnapping heirs of other kingdoms!
“She is coming.” Said Darius. He knew the woman well enough to know that she would never abandon children.
On Heraklion, no one uttered a word. They knew exactly what this meant.
“There is something that I don’t get,” said Musa, suddenly much more serious than earlier, “if they were all kidnapped, why is Sky still on Heraklion when, literally, he was on top of the list?”
All were silent. That was an excellent question.
“I hope for you all that this really isn’t a trap and that they really want Sky’s skin and not Bloom’s, because, if you needed a reminder, Bloom is also a powerful heiress in our dimension. And let’s face it, from our experience and a bit of common sense, what sounds more interesting to you? A powerful army or the Dragon Flame?”
Sky had to exhale loudly, rubbing his face. Musa was right. This could go really badly.

Falling into gardenias
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: BloomxSky
Rating: T
Genre: Romance
Length: short.
Laying down on the sofa, Sky was slowly falling asleep. The peaceful atmosphere of the house relaxed him. Bloom was also laying on the sofa, her head resting on his chest. She was watching a show she liked. Something about some elite kids that were scandalously living the life of rich people while being stalked by some mysterious online blogger. He did not understand them, nor did he identify with these kids Bloom said were the equivalent of princes and princesses in their dimension. He did not really care about the show, to be honest. No, he was too focused on the sweet smell of Vanessa's homemade tea and the home diffuser. He could tell it was eucalyptus. His royal training could allow him to identify it instantly. He was not familiar with it, yet it felt so homely. Everything about the small house felt homely. The soft light filtered through the crocheted lace on the windows. The aromas. The soft ticketing of the clock. The hum of the tv. It was so different from his home. Everything felt softer, cozier. Even dust on the tv didn't bother him. No, it made the house even cozier. There were cushions everywhere. Lots of decorations, plants... Different materials and colors. He had never seen a house like this. He loved it.
Mike and Vanessa were both at work. Bloom and Sky had proposed to help at the shop, but Vanessa kindly refused. She wanted them to rest and enjoy their time here.
Yes, Sky loved being here. It almost felt like he was part of the family, and that felt amazing. Mike and Vanessa were the parents he never had.
He looked back at Bloom. She was fast asleep. Smiling at her small face, he let his head fall on the sofa and allowed himself to fall asleep.
It was perfect.

Time of Wars Part 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sky was now looking at Marcus. His glare said it all. He did not like the leader and did not trust him.
“You are in my kingdom here! Do not forget that! You act all smart and don’t consider us like you should,” the prince said, coldly.
“You tend to forget that the information concerns you and that I could be keeping them for myself,” replied Marcus, not backing down.
“Oh well, of course,” Sky put on a fake smile, “Be my guest. I would love to see how the Winx would react.” It was Marcus' turn to glare at the prince. “You know perfectly damn well that those fairies wouldn’t let you do that," he got closer to the leader, “and it is bothering you. Yes, I think that if they had to choose a side, they wouldn't pick you.”
“This is not a game.” Marcus shot back angrily.
“Exactly. Don’t let it become one. You would be surprised at how good I am at playing games.” Sky’s glare was dark. He was furious.
“Now, you are going to answer my questions.”  He turned once again and went toward the screen, his hands in his pockets. “What about the data you collected?” Codatorta quickly showed on the flat screen.
“There seems to be a lot of information about the war, but most of it is about you Sky. We are still unsure as to why they have it, but Bloom is on it, right Marcus?”
“Why Bloom?” Sky asked while reading the documents. He could see a bunch of notes about him, his health, and his past. The question was aimed at Marcus. The latter cursed under his breath and used the computer to show Bloom’s folder.
“Simply because I know she is the best when it comes to infiltration. I could have sent Aisha or Musa, but they are spies. Bloom is an infiltrator.” He said firmly.
“Surely you know the nature of her relationship with me and my kingdom?" The prince said harshly. He did not like what he was seeing about Bloom in this folder. He looked at her health aptitudes and noticed many scares, some were bullet scares. No, he hated what he was seeing.
“Not before your little puppet made a scene about it.” Marcus looked back at Lord Radielle who looked furious. “She doesn’t appear as the type of woman to be interested in romance. None of them seem interested. Lord, I don’t see her being a queen fo-” Sky cut him off by slamming a document he had gotten out of the screen on Marcus’ chest.
“Then you should have been more careful!” Sky rage could be felt by every politician and soldier in the room.
Marcus took the document and looked at it. It was the profile data of the prince. Name, kingdom, status, place of birth… Nothing of interest. He looked at the prince mockingly before the man pointed at the screen and shot him a death glare. There, on the screen was written a sentence. A single one. Next to it was a link. A link that contained a name Marcus knew well.
“So, you are telling me that you sent her there to get more information about all these documents and kingdoms while she is also part of the list?”. Sky was calm. Way too calm. His voice felt like frozen ice on Marcus' body.
“I didn’t know! If I had any idea of what that contained, I would not have sent her.” Marcus argued back. both men's anger clashed violently. Sky was angry at Marcus because of his lack of seriousness, whereas Marcus was about to explode. How dare Sky belittle him like this?
“Then this explains why you are miserably failing at saving your kingdom!” Said the King. The specialists were now by Sky’s side.
“You don’t know anything!” Marcus screamed but only managed to infuriate the whole room of nobles. The guards moved toward him but were stopped by a gracious hand wave. The king was not afraid.
“This is not good!” Said Codatorta. “It sounds like a vicious trap.” He looked at his former student and saw the worry in his eyes. “If they get a hold on her… The political issue would only go downwards. Domino would have to be implicated in the war.”
“Knowing Bloom, she probably knew about it," Timmy said, “but she decided not to mention it.”
“The woman is smart. She knew that she would be stopped. She is also brave to the point of stupidity," said Erendor while crossing his arms over his chest. He was thinking. “We need to discover what is going on.”
“I trust Bloom! She will manage to-”
“It’s not about trust you fool!” Sky cut him off. “I trust Bloom with my damn life! It is about caring!”
“If they get a hold on her…” Started Helia but couldn’t bring himself to finish the sentence.
“What do they want from us? And if they plan on using Bloom against us, what are we going to do?” Sky said, worryingly.
He could not take the pressure. It was too much. Dealing with war and the life of hundreds of thousands of people was already barely bearable, but knowing that Bloom could be in serious danger would be the death of him.
He clicked on the link where her name was written.
Relationship status:
 officially- single_
 Unofficially- fiancé_
(ehZ2hEHL269vzhbjPrincess%BlOomHEhb28EUI87%dn_GH6_46JHGg)
A page opened. It was coded.
“Give me a second would you,” said Timmy while putting on his glasses. “This shouldn’t be too difficult.”
Indeed, a few seconds later, he managed to decode the page and a series of pictures of Bloom appeared.
The first one was a picture of her in her enchantix form, sitting on the grass with Kiko, her rabbit. Sky took a deep breath. It was hard to look at her face. He missed her so much that it pained him to look at her sweet face. Seeing her wearing the beautiful enchantix wings felt bittersweet. On the picture was written “fire fairy -Guardian of the dragon flame -Guardian of Domino and Magix”
The second picture was a few years older. Bloom was on Earth and looked older. Her hair looked shorter. She was talking to someone Sky did not know. He remembered her that way. From how she looked, he knew the photograph dated from when they had broken up and he had joined his father to face the war. The white dress she was wearing fitted her well. He remembered telling her so. “Skilled fairy and leader – Princess of the realm of Domino.”
Then, there was the last picture. All the specialists recognized the place. It was the training area at Red Fountain. The fairy was wearing training clothes and was holding a massive sword. She looked sweaty and exhausted while holding the weapon straight at Codatorta's face. Suddenly, the picture moved, and, like a magical drawing, it showed Bloom fighting her coach. Both their swords crossing and meeting, Bloom’s determined glare, her shoulders shaking from exhaustion, then Codatorta violently punching her and her falling on the ground. But a second later she was up, holding the sword skillfully, and jumped in the air, twirled so quickly that the man hadn’t the time to react and was met by Bloom's sword. “Skilled fighter – abilities: sword- martial combat- infiltration”
Under the pictures were as many documents and information as there was about Sky. The prince closed the documents with a swift hand movement and walked back toward the table.
Most nobles wore worried looks on their face. No one dared to say a word while the prince put his hands on the table and let his head fall. He was deep in thought. In a matter of moments, the situation had become much more dangerous. He thought of her family. The King and Queen of Domino were going to be informed, but what about Mike and Vanessa? Thinking about them made him feel a little bit of warmth in his heart. He liked them so much. They had considered him as their son from the beginning. They had always supported their relationship. They were great parents.
“We need to get moving.” He finally said. “Timmy, make sure all the data is being decrypted by our team and find the common points between our kingdom and all the other ones that are part of that list.” He ordered. “Riven and Helia, join Commander Elois and organize the troupes, we don’t know what could fall upon us.” He then looked up. “Lord Radielle make sure you know where your loyalty lays, I will not tolerate your attitude toward me or toward my choices! Now get out!” He said coldly, making the man gulp. “Oh, and inform the queen, would you.”
All the men stood up, followed by a few other soldiers and nobles. Very few stayed. He turned toward the screen and simply looked at Marcus who had observed the situation in silence. Sky thought about Bloom for a second and cursed loud enough for Marcus to hear him.
“I’m going to kill her.”
Brandon got closer and put a supportive hand over the prince’s shoulder.
“You know how the woman is. I’m sure she means well.” He said kindly.
“Giving me gray hair isn’t helping.”
“Tecna is reaching out to us it seems,” said Codatorta, who had sat back down next to the headmaster, when he noticed a small icon flashing on the screen.
Without any hesitation, Brandon clicked on the notification.
The door of the meeting room opened. Queen Samara and Princess Diaspro entered the room. The queen wore a beautiful and expansive green gown and the princess wore a soldier’s uniform.
She had joined the army when the war started. The royal family was still wary of her after what had happened at the millennium party years ago. However, the young woman had managed to prove her loyalty. Sky was the one to suggest her help. He knew the woman to be loyal to him to the point of bewitching him. All means were necessary to win the war. Diaspro’s family was still rich, and their planet could be a massive support in the war. The princess knew how the prince felt and so, had to control her manner if she wanted him to stay kin to her stay.
“Lord Radielle informed me of the situation. Is Bloom in danger?” Asked the Queen carefully. She could feel the tension in the room. Her husband looked angry and her son worried.
“We don’t know for now,” was all Sky said. He focused on the computer. Diaspro didn’t say a word and sat down next to Samara. “Tecna? Can you hear us?”
“Well, hello there.” Said the fairy. “It’s good to hear your voice Sky. I assume you are doing fine. Marcus, are you there?”
“I am.”
“So, how are things going over there, Tecna?”
“Codatorta, nice to hear you too. Well, I finally managed to create a technological reach for you guys. Working without magic is rather frustrating. The mission started a few hours ago. The team got into the area, Marcus.”
“Of course they did!” He said proudly. “Where is Bloom. She created quite a fuss here.”
“Oh…Ohh! Yes, that.”
“You knew it, didn’t you?” Marcus asked.
“Of course I did, what did you expect me to do? Hide Bloom in a tower? That's not how we work.”
“You girls are irresponsible!” Exclaimed Sky.
“Hey! We are not teens anymore, do not patronize us Sky! I know you are worried, but we know exactly what we are doing.”
“Don’t bother.”
“Seriously Sky, do you think Bloom didn’t think about all the possibilities? But at the end of the day, the situation was so bad that there was no other choice! She isn’t alone! Darius and Aisha are with her. They are the best messengers we have over here. Better than any specialists when it comes to infiltration and spying.” On the screen appeared a small window. “And I reached out to you because I know you well. You go insane when Bloom is in danger. I came here with this.” The window downloaded a video and soon enough, they all could see Bloom on the screen. “This is live from Bloom’s eyeShip. With this software, you are going to be able to see everything that she sees, and this will allow you to keep an eye on her but also make the right decisions if something happens.”
They all looked at the woman on the screen. She wore her hair in a messy bun. A few locks fell on her face in soft curls. She wasn’t wearing any makeup and her outfit was all black and tight. She wore a leather crop top that looked like an X, englobing her breasts. She had low-rise black leather pants and boots. On her wrist were her bracelet and a ship. She was running with two other people. Sky assumed they were Darius and Aisha.
Brandon couldn’t believe his eyes. Bloom was indeed different. But so was Aisha. She wore her frizzy curls in a small afro and her outfit was just like Bloom’s, except it was a one-piece suit with blue details on her shoulder pads. She was wearing gloves and large boots. The girl always looked confident, but not this much. She had a sly smile on her lips and her eyes were hidden behind sunglasses. She was fast and each of her movements was very well calculated. The man running with them was extremely well built up and wore leather, sunglasses, and a hoody. His fair skin and muscles shone under the moonlight. They both had the same bracelet as Bloom.
The whole room was dumbfounded at their agility. Jumping from roof to roof, using the plumber to climb buildings, jumping from skyscrapers, and falling perfectly on their feet. They were as swift and skilled as cats. They were strong and fast. All eyes were glued to the screen as they watched the three messengers make their way into a highly guarded building. Armed soldiers were everywhere. The building was so well protected that everybody in the room feared the three messengers would get caught. Slowly, the eyeShip focused on Bloom. Her face was pale and contrasted with her red hair. She had a serious glare on her face. She seemed unstoppable.
There was a loud noise next to where she had landed after a spectacular jump. She quickly hid under a huge pipe she guessed was a vent. She swiftly lifted her body with her arms and stood up in the air, under the vent, her whole body was upside down. She saw three armed men walk around the corner, glasses in their hands. She did not move and hold her breath when then walked just under her. A few seconds later, they opened a door and left the small terrasse. She fell back on her feet and slowly looked around. She was alone. Aisha had managed to get in a vent and Darius was getting rid of a noisy and drunk guard. She smiled and continued looking for an entry.
Something caught her attention. A construction site? She thought for a few seconds. Without a word, she touched her temple.
“Darius, I have an idea, but I need your help.”
“Why do I always need to babysit you? Ugh!”
“I’m going to infiltrate the building. I’m gonna use the construction site just so you know.”
She didn’t bother listening to him and ran toward the cliff and jumped right from the small rooftop into the building’s downhill wall. She let herself slide down the downhill and jumped from it when she was near scaffoldings. She gripped one of its pipes and used it to balance herself on the scaffolding. It was risqué but discrete.
In the palace meeting room, all were dumbfounded. Most had made small cries when they thought the woman would not make it alive. Some congressmen had laughed at her abilities, saying how skilled she was and how marvelous it was to see princesses do something else than just sit around and look nice. Of course, they knew Aisha and Bloom weren’t the usual princesses, but they surely did not expect those backflips and deadly jumps.
Samara had a hand over her chest, she had been holding her breath every time the young fairy made a move. The King was still sitting straight and still had his hands crossed over his body. However, his mouth was widely opened, and he could not believe his eyes. Even his most experienced soldiers could not do such things. Codatorta looked extremely pleased and proud, he shared the same expression as Saladin. The two specialists looked at her like she had grown a second head. Marcus was the only one that did not look petrified by them. He hadn’t seen Bloom do anything else than that during the three years she had been working with him. He looked over at the prince and glared at him. He did not like him a bit.
Bloom was going down the scaffolds quicker than they thoughts was possible. She used every railing, pipe, and sheet metal. Jumping on a wall and balancing herself on a pipe was not a problem for her.
The place was dark. There was barely any light. The construction site was empty. A few meters away she saw a gigantic tarp. She knew how the city worked here; a tarp meant a hole. Surely, she could go down into the ground and find a vent. She was the one that needed to collect the documents needed to understand what link there was between Carlisle and the other kingdoms he had been spying on.
She finally landed on the ground in a perfect forward roll. She slowly walked toward the tarp and looked underneath it. She was right. They were constructing another building, and so, they started by digging the grounds and putting installations within it. She saw stairs and didn’t hesitate to use them. It took her a few minutes to go down the stairs and find a vent indicated by her eyeShip.
She climbed the whole vent without much difficulty and made her way to the first floor of the building. But of course, things were going too smoothly. There, she was met by seven guards, all armed. They saw her and immediately ran toward her, ready to shoot her down. Bloom didn’t like to fight but when needed, she surely knew how to. She did not let them win over her. She also ran toward them, but before colliding with the first one, she did a front flip, dodging him perfectly. Landing on the floor she kicked him in the back making him fall.
The fairy turned down right in time to punch another one right between the legs and stole his gun. She detached the magazine which still had all its bullets and was pretty heavy, she kept the pistol in one hand and used it to slam it on his jaw, making him fall backward. Falling back on her knees, she threw the heavy magazine toward the third guard, hitting him right in the guts. She caught the man in front of her who was now bleeding from his mouth and used him as a shield when the fourth guard started firing at her. She knew these soldiers were provided with powerful bulletproof outfits, so the man would be fine. She then stood up, still holding the man by his collar, and throw him at the firing guard. They both fell on the floor. The fifth one looked stunned by her and kept looking at the two guards left. One was tall and big, and the other one was small but well-built. Bloom looked at the fifth one, he looked more like a trainee than a soldier. She had a few seconds to intervene before they would fight back. One. She looked over them. Two. She took out her glimmering yellow baton. Three. She threw it in the air and caught it back, making it twirl around her hands. Done! They looked frightened. Laughing a little bit, she ran toward the two guards, hitting them with it before kicking one in the face violently and hitting the other one with her baton three times. Once in the chest, another one in the belly, and the last one over his nape. There was not a single noise besides all their groans. She looked at the trainee before collecting a gun from the ground that she knew was a stun gun. She smiled at him before shooting him. She watched him fall to the ground, unconscious.
“See! She is perfectly fine!” Said Tecna to Sky that was stunned by her skills. He blinked a few times and then looked at his father and the few congressmen. They all looked astonished. His mom was hiding a smile behind her hand. She looked pleased with how the situation had turned. A feeling of pride gripped his guts. This was his fiancée. She had taken down seven armed guys in a matter of minutes.

The commoner
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Bloom x Sky
Rating: T
Genre: Romance, jealousy, self-hatred
Length: medium
(Please listen to the music while reading, it will emphasize the emotions.) This one is very experimental. Tell me what you think of it with the music.
Commoner.
That was the word used by the gossiper.
She tried to avoid them. She tried to busy herself. She tried to think about her classes. Hell, she even put the music louder.
But it didn't work
N O T I N G
Nothing worked.
She could hear them.
It felt as if they were engraving the words in her brain,
Writing it on her arms with a poisoned blade, making her bleed.
Branding her forever.
Love was her only sin.
That they couldn't see.
They had mentioned his name first, his title. They had talked about how handsome he looked. They had been able to mention every single apparition he had made as a prince. Every magazine he had appeared in. Every time he had been a model for a few brands from his kingdom. They could describe his crown and his medals better than she could ever. It had hurt.
Badly.
Then they had mentioned how he looked,
how rich he was.
He was the prince
He was the heir
He was powerful
He needed a queen
They knew who was better
They thought they were better
They were from Heraklion
They deserved him right?
As they said
No way this was real
No way the prince was dating a nobody
A princess ? No way that girl was a princess
They had pointed
Look at her hair
She trynna look like the queen Samara.
Fake,
she is fake.
I hate her.
He is just using her.
What a B...
Look how nasty her face looks with all those freckles.
At least the queen has the decency to hid hers.
I would steal him away so fast if only he was here
What's wrong with those fairies
Letting him date ... her
The fire inside her had burnt.
An inferno.
She was an inferno.
She wanted nothing more that shut them up.
Burn their mouth off their ugly face
Maybe it was her bad side speaking, but it felt right.
They had said how good they could make him feel...
She though of how much she could make them suffer
All of them
All.
She did not deserve this.
She never wanted this.
She ran. Ran away.
She thought she was good enough. Strong enough. But her heart was weak. Her brain screaming. Her flames fading.
They didn't know. Didn't realize how dangerous it was to play with fire.
It scared her. She could make them surrender.
Rain falling on her, like acid on her brain, and fuel to her heart.
Heartbeats ringing in her ears.
Fire in her eyes.
Everybody assumed.
No one understood.
She couldn't take it.
Crying.
She cried. Again and again.
Would he leave her like they said ?
She was not that pretty.
She was not that important.
She was nothing.
He was almighty.
They only saw the bright side.
The beauty.
The money.
They failed to see the love.
They did not understand their chemistry.
And there, she left a piece of herself for whoever to stumble upon and fall to their death. Because that's all she left. All she felt.

Love and trauma.
Parings : Stella x Brandon, Radius&Luna, Stella&Riven
Genre : romance, friendship, drama
Rating : M
Length : multi parts
Trigger Warnings : trauma, anxiety
He had proposed. Eveyrthing she ever dreamed of, he had done. A fantastic diner. A dance in the middle of the ball room. All eyes on them. Then a moment of intimacy. A balcony and the moon keeping them company, like a motherly presence reassuring her. A wonderful ring that belonged to his grandmother.
He had proposed.
Everything had been perfect, and yet, she said no.
Two letters, one word, shattering them. He had looked up at her, not sure he had heard right. She had tears in her eyes. She was shaking. He could not believe his ears. She had said no. How was that even possible? They were in love. They had been since they were sixteen. They were now twenty-two.
Seven years. Seven years of love. Seven years together and she said no... Brandon fell on both his knees, like the two-letters word had smashed him down.
Stella was crying incontrollably now.
"I'm so sorry... I'm-I'm so sorry! I can't do this. I can't. I'm so sorry... Please forgive me. I don't want this."
Brandon was lost. She didn't want to marry him? But she loved him. He knew she did. There was no other way. She always did. He loved her! Wasn't it they were supposed to do now that they were adults? That's what Flora and Helia had done... Nabu and Aisha too. What did he do wrong? Maybe it was the ring. At first he had wanted to buy her a brand new one, but Sky had told him that an heirloom had more value. His best friend knew his family did have many heirlooms, just like his. It was an Heraklie's thing.
Stella could not stand to see him like this. She could not stand there. she could not breath.
"I'm so sorry!" She said and ran back into the ball room. Her friends, her family and the most important people of Solaria were here. They all knew he would ask her tonight. They all waited for them, ready to applause. But they didn't. They saw her tears. Her friends all looked shocked. What was going on? Brandon was still on the balcony, looking pale.
Inside, Stella looked like she was about to fall. She ran outside the ball room. As soon as she was gone, people started to whisper. The king was sitting unconfortably on his throne and he looked for his daughter's best friend. Bloom saw Radius looking for her. She looked back at her fiancé and they both nodded. Sky went looking for Brandon while Bloom joined the king.
"What is happening!?"
"I have no idea Radius. As planned, we didn't spoil the surprise, but I'm starting to think that we should have."
"Maybe he said something wrong?"
"What could he possibly had said that would make her cry like this? No, Radius, I doubt Brandon as anything to do with this."
Bloom knew her bestfriend. She knew how much she was in love with Brandon. They was something else here.
In the crowd, all the Winx and specialists looked lost. The girls were whispering frantically. But there, lurking like he usually did, Riven was rolling his eyes at everybody. How blind could they be? Royals were something else... Any normal person would have understood, yet again the girls didn't get it. He looked over to the king and saw the Bloom. Their eyes met, and Riven instantly knew. Bloom and him were never close, however they did share one thing, they both knew what it meant to be "normal". He thought about his fiancé for a moment. She was normal too, but loosing her mom had made her very nostalgic and romantic. Bloom was romantic but her relationship with Blondie number 2 had forced her to be less romantic and more calculating. She had been raised like a normal child and yet she had to deal with royals and their attitude. Yep, they both had this in common. They knew royal etiquette was bullshit. And that was the problem now. Some past mistakes were lurking on the princess, and Riven was about to address them.

Sigh. I don't know if I like it or not. I wrote that months ago and kept it hidden because I didn't know what to do with it. Do you like it? Should I finish it ?

Misunderstanding
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Bloom x Sky, Bloom & Andy,
Rating : T
Genre: romance, friendship, love
Length: short.
Who would have thought that living on earth would have been a nightmare for the boys? Not only were they facing troubles, but they could absolutely not fit in this society. Hell, Timmy out of them all had found a job easily...
Their relationship with their girlfriends had deteriorated immensely and that was a shock. Riven could barely control himself. He was jealous and anxious at all times. Brandon was angry and desperate to make up with Stella. And Sky wanted nothing more than to behead that Andy guy.
Tree boys were barely on speaking terms with their girls. Here they were, sitting like morons on the Fruity Music bar stools listening to Andy's group getting ready for the night. Sky could not even glance his way, let alone listen to his voice every single night. He had discovered a side of himself he loathed more than anything. The jealous and arrogant kind of the prince. A little voice in his head had been born in the last months, telling him stuff that before would have put him to shame.
At school, he was far from being the only prince. He could at least remember seven other princes all spread out in all grades. However, out of them all, he was the most influential one. Heraklion was massive when it came to its power and its money. Being an alley to Isis, Domino and a few other kingdoms did have its perks. However, Sky was very different from those princes. He absolutely despited the royal conception of classes and power. His dad had forced him into adopting it, but Sky was not conservative, classist doctrines and it showed a lot in school. In comparison to the other royals, he never showed off, preferred to hang out with "normal" people, and hell, he had ditched a princess for a "commoner". But now, at that precise moment, he was frustrated. The little voice in his head was telling him to show Andy how rich, how smart and how powerful he truly was. This was not him.
"Merlin, I sound like my dad..." He wishpered, dropping his head in his hands.
"What"?
"Nothing Helia, Forget it." He mumbled back to his friend.
"Well, i dont know what happening to you but Andy is coming toward us and I don't think he wants a glass of water."
At this, Sky straightened his back and looked at the dark-headed musician. True to Helia's words, Andy was coming toward him. He rolled his eyes and could not stop himself from tightening his jaw, a flash of the musician hugging Bloom coming to his mind.
"Hum, hey Sky. I just wanted to ask if I could speak to you real fast?"
A few swear words came to his mind. "Get the hell away from me" he wanted to scream at him, but he stopped himself. From the corner of his eyes, he could see Riven's face getting red. Oh how fun it had been to bond with Riven over the common enemy.
"It's about Bloom, I think I need to clarify a few details with you."
Sky thought he could punch him. He hated how her name sounded in his month. Disgusting. Sky felt someone nudging him and saw Helia's eyes on him. He sighted loudly and followed Andy outside of the bar.
"Alright, you have five minutes." Said the blond, crossing his arms on his chest.
"Yeah, right. Sooo..." Andy was struggling. The guy was bigger and taller than him and it did make him uncomfortable. Not mentioning the way he carried himself. That was intimidating. Andy thought he looked like some emperor walking around the place. Well, the truth was close enough... "I wanted to clarify the situation with Bloom and me... I know I did say we used to date, and it's not completely false. But, the thing is, it was a very long time ago. I don't feel that way about her at all." Seeing Sky death glare, he understood that he needed to give more context. "The thing is, I love messing around with her. Telling Stella and Musa that I used to date Bloom was just a sort of... Inside joke, you know?" He cracked a smile expecting the same from Sky. Well, that was certainly a failure. "What I mean is that I do care about Bloom" Sky tensed. Wrong move he thought. "Buuuut, I see her as a friend. A little sister."
"What the f-"
"Wait it sounds a bit wrong like that considering you guys all think we actually dated." Sky was now lost. "I mean we did. But we were like eleven and I think it lasted like tree weeks..."
Sky's mouth dropped. He looked at the musician, completely lost. He would not even call that dating...
"It was just a way to annoy Bloom you know... Tell her friends I was her ex... It's not wrong but, I mean, hum, not true either. Like it wasn't serious at all. We were kids and had no conception of what love or a relationship were."
"I don't understand... You always hold her hand, you hug her..." Sky was loosing his patience.
"Because that's always the way we behaved. Listen man, I have known her for years. Like maybe since kindergarten. And we always did that. So yeah, I get it, it does send the wrong ideas, but that's not what we are. Bloom isn't like that"
"I know that, thank you." Sky cut him.
"I know dude. I'm not doing this for you, but for her. She hates what's going on but she's mad at you for jumping to conclusions. I also know how stubborn she can be. Believe me when I say that she made our childhood hard! You guys don't know how times she would get into fights because she was too stubborn. The girl could not contain herself..." Andy laughed at the memories of a small Bloom, pigtails and all, running after other kids to show them how right she was.
Sky took a deep breath, he certainly did. But how could he not? Stella had said he was her ex. And Mitzi had been telling him the same over and over. Maybe she was truly evil like the girls said. Oh how fucked was he... Understanding his reaction, Andy patted his shoulder quickly and left him alone. He did not want to be around when the couple would discuss their issues. Still, he left, a small smile on his lips. He liked the guy.

Blossoming Bloom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing : Mike x Vanessa, Bloom
Rating : G
Genre : One shot
Length: short.
Born on the 10th of December, princess Bloom of Domino had grown up on earth. Far far away from the magical realms and magic. She had appeared in Mike and Vanessa'life like a blessing. Not being able to conceive a child had plagued their existence, until that night. Mike had called home, informing his wife that a massive inferno had taken place not far from the small flat they were renting.
Vanessa had stayed up. She would always wait for him on nights like this. Hearing the front door, she ran toward it. There, her husband stood, holding something in his arms, tears in his eyes. Vanessa stopped abruptly. Was that a baby? Slowly, he approached his wife, a smile on his lips, so she could see the face of the small infant. There, still wrapped in the blanket they found her in, Bloom was peacefully sleeping, hiding her beautiful blue eyes. Vanessa cried out. Was that really a baby?
"We found her there. She is the only survivor. She was not harmed by the flames. It's a miracle, Vanessa. Janis said she is a month old, maybe two. They were about to take her to a foster home. I couldn't leave her... I..." He choked on his words. "You understand, right. I just couldn't!" He cried out, holding the baby closer while hugging his wife with his free arm. Vanessa kept looking at the baby. That was a baby... They had a baby? Finally, she realized.
They had a baby.
They could be parents.
She suddenly let out a long cry. She was a mother!
They had named her Bloom. That's the name they found embroidered on her blanket. What a beautiful name. What the couple didn't know was that this name had been chosen by her parents as a symbol of a miracle. On the 10th of December, a princess was born. The garden of the royal palace was frozen. The entire planet was covered in heavy, white snow, and yet, gardenias had bloomed all over the realm, punctuating its lands with white petals on white snow... Blooms had appeared in the middle of the coldest winter the planet had ever known.
Yes, Bloom was a miracle.
-------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys. I felt like this one-shot was much needed. We never really got any explanation on how Mike and Vanessa knew Bloom's name. Actually, I came up with that explanation when I was still in elementary school. yes, I was the kind of child who needed things to make complete sense, otherwise, I wouldn't shut up about it. I've come across people writing pretty much the same. You know, Bloom's name being on her clothes or a jewel...

DroidiaLife
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: TecnaxTimmy
Rating: T
Genre: character-building, world-building
Length: short
------------------------------------------------------
Hey! Hope you enjoyed this one! It's short I know. It's just a small character-building because Tecna really needs one. I don't like what Rainbow has told us about her. It's so weak and plain. So I decided to use the original pilot "Magical Bloom" and a bit of my imagination.
