no because imagine venturing to the literal realm of the dead to ask a dead prophet-oracle about a way to break the curse and go home and FINALLY after almost two decades see your loved ones which includes your mother.

and then in the underworld you find your mother's spirit roaming. Looking for you. Because she died and you had not yet returned but she still waited for you till her final moment and still waits now in death.

Something I adore about this saga is how the songs all end with such powerful and forceful singing. It almost feels like Odysseus is trying to drown out the screams he hears by being louder with his own pain and convictions
