can i just say that as someone who got interested in the sonic universe only after the movies i LOVED the series?

seriously i read SO MANY complaints about the series from sonic’s fans and they make it sound so damn serious.

it was fun, it was nice and most importantly we got to see knuckles having fun and getting friends with wade and his family.

LOOK AT HIM. THE DEFINITION OF CUTENESS.

he has always been on the run, he has been ALL ALONE since his father and whole tribe died. he is not used to a normal, peaceful life. and he obviously feels overwhelmed because, despite sonic and the wachowski’s best intentions, they simply can’t understand how strange and different this all is for him.

and thanks to wade he got to feel a bit more comfortable and carefree. wade didn’t tell him what he was supposed to do to get accostumed to earth. instead, he showed him how much fun it could be if he let his guard down. and so knuckles got to act silly and open up to someone who, despite the obvious differences, he could relate to.

so yeah, there obviously were times in which i was like “where the heck is me boy?”.

but when i read people defining the series as “ridiculous” or “trash” i get pissed. it was good enough, sonic’s veteran fans gotta chill.

like, seriously, can we talk about how WRONG what he did to miles was? they kinda put all the emotional baggage aside in the movies but in the spider within short we actually had a small understanding of how exactly being spiderman FUCKS YOU UP.

miles is a kid! he became spiderman at 13!

if miles felt like THAT before, imagine what he’s going through after atvs.

being told that your father has to die, your closest friends betray you, being chased by people who are supposed to be like you, who are supposed to get you and have your back, being hurt, smashed against a train by this massive, mentally unstable man who put the blame on you for something that was COMPLETELY out of your control and whispers into your ear that you are a mistake and that you do not belong with them???

i get what he went through, i understand what he says and i don’t really hate him hate him, like, partially hate him. BUT that’s no excuse for what he did to miles.

kinda wanted to share this because people go crazy for him because of his character design, his power and general ☕️ charm 👀 but I WILL NOT FORGET NOR FORGIVE WHAT HE HAS DONE TO MY BABY BOY

velma show SUCKS big time but…

i couldn’t stop myself from getting attached to fred.

he started off as a spoiled rich douchbag and ended up being, in my humble opinion, the most likable character.

it’s not like he’s genuinely rude, unlike mindy velma. he simply doesn’t know any better because of his parents.

and i really liked his “himbo trying his best” arc.

he is an actual sweet dork, it’s his parents that were sick, both for abusing him his whole life, trying to make him the spit image of his father, and also, well, the whole “mother removing brains of people to replace mine because i am not good enough for her” thing.

so, i just want to say that this show can’t be saved but fred… he has become my special number-one little guy :)
