From the river to the sea 🇵🇸
This art piece is an ode to the Palestinian people and their resistance.
The olive tree, watermelons, poppies, and keys are all symbols of resistance; Palestinians have cared for their olives trees for 100’s of years, they aren’t allowed to fly their flag so they painted watermelons with all the same colours instead, the national flower is the poppy and it can be founds all throughout the land, keys symbolize the right of return.
All of the names and images of Palestinians you see in this piece are real people who were murdered by the IOF. Remember their faces.
The Palestine flag reads “INSHALLAH” (god is good in Arabic) and the Ireland flag reads “TIOCFAIDH ÁR LÁ” (our day will come in Gaeilge), representing the long-standing solidarity between the Palestinian and Irish people.
