When El is in in the void she can see where someone is and if she touches them she can see some of their memories, its how she found her mother & her memories of Kali in season 2, as well as how she knew everyone was at the Byers when the Demodogs attacked. Thats why she was reaching out for Billy, to read his memories about where the Mind Flayer was hiding. But thats exactly what the Mind Flayer wanted so it made Billy grab onto her so It could see where she was as well, as well as some of her memories like who her friends were so it could torment her with that knowledge when it confronted her as billy in the Cabin. Also the piece of it that escaped from Will in season 2 has been to the Cabin, it just didnt know where it was and who lived there at the time when it was forced to flee from Wills overheated body, though whether it even remembers what direction it was since it was dying/going into hibernation at the time when the gate closed. 

so I'm rewatching Stranger Things season 3 for the 6th time and i noticed this plot hole last time but after seeing it again it still makes no sense to me so just hear me out.

In season 2 when Will was possessed, they brought him to Hopper's cabin because it's secluded in the middle of the woods and Will and the Mind Flayer won't know where they are. But in season 3 Billy is possessed this time, and when he's in the void with Eleven and they're in the cabin, he's telling her that he's gonna kill her and all her friends and that the Mind Flayer can now see her, so the monster comes to Hopper's cabin to kill Eleven. But HOW THE FUCK did Billy know where Hopper's cabin was? That was like a big thing in season 2 because no one except the gang knew where it was. 🤔

So i just got Disney+

Its up a few hours early on the UK site and they have full seasons of Suite life & Thats so Raven but only 2 later episodes of season 1 of Andi Mack and a handful of random episodes of season 2. does anyone in the USA have this or do they have the full seasons? cause i refrained from watching pirated version cause of the App and the hopes that if it & love Simon/Victo got a lot of view Disney would do more LGBTQ characters or even another show with them as central characters. Im hoping its cause the app is up early and the others will be added later but if not im going to be so pissed.

A new Power Rangers Movie

 So its rumoured that their going to try and make ANOTHER remake of Power Rangers as a movie. Personally i liked the 2017 movie, yeah it was silly in places and not a great adaptation of the Villain's (Good casting but bad writing for Rita & Goldar was a let down) but i enjoyed the new versions of the rangers personalities and backstories, though the action was kind of lacking. I would have enjoyed seeing where the franchise would have gone but im also curious to see what they might make and what they would do differently if they are going to reboot it. 

There are some rumours going around about casting and an LGBTQ character, but id take these with a pinch of salt as whilst it would be great if true they are highly unlikely to be.   

The first rumour is that Sophia Lillis will be in it, and that she will be the lead Red Ranger. I love this idea, i really hope its true as ever since Shinkenger (power rangers samurai for anyone whose never seen the tokusatsu) where there was a red ranger as a temporary leader I’ve loved the idea and am surprised it hasn't happened yet. I know the fighting footage for power rangers comes from Japan but in the very 1st ever series of power ranger the yellow rangers sentai counterpart was played by a dude and i never noticed, so why not pull that again?

Second rumour is that Finn Wolfhard will be in it, possibly as the Blue Ranger, and that his character will be gay. This would be good representation and a call back to the Blue rangers actor, David Yost from the original series who sadly had many bad homophobic experiences whilst filming the series. It wouldn't take back the experiences David went through but, having that representation that a guy (or girl like in the last movie) can be gay and a superhero would definitely boost some young questioning minds self esteem/worth and shatter the illusion in young straight minds that we cant be. I know Trini was implied Lesbian in the 2017 movie but come on, lets have an actual confirmation for representation.

Like i said these are all rumours and highly unlikely to be real. If they are though it would mean they were casting actual teenagers who look like teenagers and not 20 somethings who look like body builders or glamour models which would be refreshing. 

One thing i hope they consider even if none of the casting is true: Cast Darce Montgomery as a villian, even if its just his voice and especially if its Lord Zedd. It would be  a great callback to have the actor playing the lead of the last movie come back as its villain. His delivery when possessed by the Mind Flayer in season three of stranger things was so chilling. imagine this coming out of a more calm, collected and sinister Zedd terrorising the rangers before exploding in a fit of rage, lightning and monster growing grenades. i wonder what a movieverse Zedd would look like...

Since Gargoyles is going onto Disney+ i thought id repost my fan cast for a live action movie or series. still stand by my choices. really hope the show gets the same love it got back when i watched it.   

Since I’m on a Gargoyles binge watch here’s my casting for a Live action movie or Netflix/Hulu series.

First Elisa Maza: Rosario Dawson

i just see her as the live action version. Elisa is the more badass version of her character from the marvel series with a more central role. Rosario is more than capable of portraying the sassy yet deep Elisa i remember from the show.

Much like Darth Vader theres only one man who can and should voice Goliath: Kieth David

one of the most memorable things about this show is this mans magnificent voice. Im not kidding if Keith, James Earl Jones and Morgan Freeman are ever in the same movie or show together it will be the most  awesome vocal experience to the ears. the guy could play anything and make the character awesome, so he needs to come back to play the shows most badass character. 

This next one was a bit tough but for Hudson: Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid from harry potter)    

I wanted a proper Scottish actor to play Hudson and whilst Hudson is usually very serious he does have his softer side with both Bronx and Elisa. Robbie as we know can play a big softy as Hagrid but he’s also played some serious and even sinister characters as well.

the next three are the younger Gargoyles so im going to pick younger actors for them 

First Brooklyn: Joe Keery 

Brooklyn was the “try to be cool but usually looks like a fool” wise cracking one and as Steve from Stranger things Joe plays this character really well with his comedic timing. I also got the sense that Brooklyn was the oldest of the three as he definitely had more of a leader role when it was just them. 

Next is Brooklyn and after much thinking Jacob Batalon  

Broadway is meant to be a sweet by naive character and Ned from spiderman homecoming was both. At first i thought of Jonah Hill but i’ll be honest his voice is kind of annoying and he only ever seems to play one sort of character and its never sweet, usually pervy which is not how i see Broadway.

Next Lexington: Finn Wolfhard

I always thought Lexington was the youngest of the group being the smallest and most child like, which was a good contrast for him being the tech whiz kid of the group which made him a fan favorite for me. Doubly so years later when i found out the comic continuing the series had started a story line where he would be gay. As for his actor Finn has a very distinctive voice like Lex and has shown he can portray serious, emotional and humorous rolls with both Richie and Mike as his most well known characters. plus if they ever did that what if scenario where Lex went evil i would love to see finn have a crack at it. 

last for the heroes Frank Welker, the man of a thousand voices (including megatron, abu and a thousand growling animals) MUST return as Bronx

Next we have probably the best Villain in this show: Demona: Gwendoline Christie    

That voice, for both of them. As a child i remember feeling dread in every episode she appeared much like children dread seeing the daleks in doctor who; you know something bad was going to happen and that she would be scary doing it on screen. Gwendoline is just frigging amazing and she needs the chance to shine as proper villain and not the disappointing captain phantasm we got.

Macbeth: Gerard Butler 

Just imagine Gerard in the fight scenes of medieval Scotland one minute and fighting Goliath with futuristic weaponry the next and tell me it wouldn’t look badass. He is perhaps Scotland’s most badass action actor after all. 

Xanatos: George Clooney  

Xanatos is suave and smooth. Those words are George Clooney. the guy could sell anything and give a performance so charming you would at least pay attention to what he was saying. Plus Xanatos isn’t your usual type of villain with talks of how he’ll take over the world or laughing maniacally, and i think Clooney would play it perfectly.        Gwendoline Christie

There are some rumours that Marvel are considering hiring Finn Wolfhard for a part in the MCU

Another rumour was that they wanted to cast him as Nova, specifically Sam Alexander, a teen whose father was a special agent or something in Nova Corps (which weve seen in Guardians of the galaxy) and inherits his armour & powers. 

I dont know much about the character & whilst Im sure Finn would do a great job ive thought of something far better id like to see him take a stab at if he joined the MCU.

So ever since Antman & even Iron man 3 ive seen the possibility that they may do a young Avengers movie, though now it could also be a Disney+ drama. With the Events of endgame having Cassie Lang be the right age, the announcement of Kate Bishop being in the Hawkeye show as well as the fact Marvel now has the rights to Kree & Skrulls it looks like this may be happening more & more. So who would Finn play? Well the character becomes a much later addition to the group when only 3 of the original members are still part of the team, though given the fact Black widow & hawkeye were not part of the 1st avengers team in the comics it doesn’t matter if they change the line up of the team a bit. But given the fact this character now has his own Disney+ series the possibilities of it happening are less and less likely. However  if Young Avengers does happen it wont be till way down the line since most of phase 4 has already been planned out, and if shit that’s been happening with Sony & Spiderman has taught us anything is that things can change at the drop of a hat. So heres who I think would be a good character for Finn if he does join the MCU in young avengers:  

Kid/Teen Loki

From what I understand of the Comics Loki sacrificed himself in order to prevent something he had put in motion but lost control of from destroying everything, apologising to his brother as his final words. Because of something to do with Hela rather than truly die he was reincarnated on earth as a kid with no memories of his past and found by Thor who told him who he really was, though the boy was terrified of the nightmares which showed the horrible things he had done. The Asgardians didn’t want him back in Asgard, especially Odin who constantly yelled at him and belittled him for the actions of his past self. After helping Thor defend Asgard (at one point he even uses the Destroyer (from the first Thor movie) to save the day) he eventually makes contact with his past self who reveals that this has all been part of his plan and it is time for him to assume control. Refusing to let that happen Kid Loki traps Loki and hides it from Thor..

Eventually after a lot of character development Kid Loki has to let his past self take back control in order to save everyone, though not before letting him have 3 conversations with anyone he chooses without revealing whats about to happen, basically giving him the chance to say goodbye before he disappears and old Loki takes over. Its after this point, whilst still disguising himself as Kid Loki that he joins the young avengers.      

Now heres how I think Kid, or rather Teen Loki would fit into the MCU and why Finn would be good to play him (warning this will be long winded so skip this if your not interested):

The Loki Show: its been made clear that the show will be focusing on the Loki from the timeline where he escaped with the tesseract (space stone) in Endgame. Its also clear that the Multiverse will play a big part in the Doctor Strange sequel and that Scarlet Witch will play a big part in that movie. So im wondering if the events of WandaVision (which airs before DS & Loki) will be similar to House of M in that her powers have grown and in her grief over what happened to vision along with all the shit that has happened to her in her life she is losing her sanity and unintentionally altering reality in which Vision lived and the two are a happy couple, complete with kids (which plays a HUGE part in 2 of the young avengers & their powers). The series would end with Doctor Strange confronting her and lead into Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness where the 2 must put reality back together after realities start bleeding into each other.

In the chaos of all the multiverses bleeding into each other the Loki from the reality where he escaped with the space stone ends up in the main MCU reality which will lead into the Loki series. Either during that or Thor Love & Thunder he will sacrifice himself only to be discovered reincarnated by Thor as Teen Loki (played by Finn) with seemingly no memory of his past self in the end credits.

Due to his past he’ll be shunned by other Asgardians and get involved with whatever leads up to the young avengers being formed. Given how stopping Loki was the reason the Avengers first teamed up wouldn’t it be a cool call back if Teen Loki was the one who brought the Young Avengers together to save the world this time?    

But as the series progresses Old Loki starts to whisper to Teen Loki (Hiddleston cameoing either in person or voice), eventually revealing that nearly everything that has happened in the series, including the team being formed, has been set up by him pre mind wipe so that he gains the trust of both the young & old avengers, going to such lengths as completely wiping his memories so that any mind readers will believe he really is a different person before putting his plans into action. Remember THIS Loki is still the villainous Loki we had in the first avengers movie. Any character development after that is retconned by whatever we get in Thor 4 & the Loki Series, so Old Loki could still be all out evil.

By series end he is the final villain and enacts his master plan that the team must stop. Either they or whatever is left of Teen Loki will be the ones to foil the plan. Hopefully the door for Teen Loki to make a comeback would be open ended (Finn’s a workaholic after all).

Now as for why I think Finn would be good as Loki:

First and foremost, hes a great actor. We’ve seen he is great at giving emotional performances and has great comedic timing. The taunting creepy childlike laugh he gives Billy in stranger things sauna scene would be super creepy if Loki eventually went evil & used his knowledge of his team & his magic/illusions to taunt them. Id actually like to see Finn play a full-on villain, and I think he could pull off Loki at his smarmiest overconfident to his full on deranged gleefully smiling maniac. As for the emotional scenes just tell me he wouldn’t be good at giving the three secret goodbye speeches before Old Loki takes over again.    

Like I said this is all my own opinion on who he would be good to play in the MCU. Finn has reportedly stated he would be fine playing a background character rather than an actual full on character in a superhero movie so he may not even be interested if the chance came up.  

But what do you guys think? Could you see Finn as this character?

So I see a lot of people saying...

..that they want TJ to apologize at the swings, some saying in the SummerSalt outfit he should have worn. I got one better.

He’s waiting for Cyrus at swings dressed as a giant chocolate muffin. Its way more significant than Somersaulting as it is the thing that got them introduced to each other and started their friendship that were all hoping leads to more. Plus it would be way more embarrassing for TJ & I know Kira put the thought in his head but that boy needs to suffer a little bit if he didn't even call Cyrus to tell him the couples costumes off. 

I just hope when the show comes back (do we have a date yet?) that we don’t have to wait 2-3 episodes to get back to this storyline.

Laddies & Gentlemen, we have a new number.

the next stranger things comic will be a prequel following Francine, aka number 6. according to sources she is a child with the power of precognition that her family take advantage of, eventually drawing the attention of Dr Brenner. 

The mini series is coming out in may, so we got quite the wait ahead of us. After that we got the hopper prequel story in June then the promised time of July 4th when season 3 hits netflix. 

there is one issue i have with this announced comic though. Francine looks like shes in her early teens but according to the Terry Ives prequel novel she finds a cabinet with a list of experiments 1-10, and the oldest being 6yrs old (Kali herself is 5). so when exactly does this comic take place? the ages have to add up as Francine can only be a year older than Kali and have been at the lab before her, and Kali was taken to Hawkins when she was 5yrs old. does anyone know what age Kali was when she escaped? im just a little concerned that whilst were getting all this cool material that there will be inconsistencies between show, books & comics that will render the whole book/comic pointless as it cannot be considered canon. 

but either way im excited for more stranger things content.

Oh god the new Aladdin trailer

I knew i was gonna have an issue with the choice of actor for the Genie because I’ve never found Will Smith particularly funny and there are far better comedic actors who could play the part, but i at least hoped they would make him look good as the genie. I like the aesthetic with the more detailed bracers &sash around his waist etc but when u get to the face it looks like Will Smith’s face in a badly made CGI fat suit. But this is a 2 second scene im working with here so who knows, maybe I’ll love it when the film comes out.

But can we talk about Jafar? now i know in the original movie he was thin and camp but the guy was still sinister and menacing as hell. i remember seeing the film for the first time as a very young child & during his version of Prince Ali I got so scared I cried. This guy though? His outfit looks like it doesn't fit properly like a child playing dress up, his voice is about as sinister as a budgie & facially Aladdin looks more intimidating than him and he’s gorgeous. Again we have barely a second of him on screen but this is our first look at this character and so far im not impressed with him or the Genie.       

What i do love though is the look of the movie. Agrabah looks amazing, like something out of a fantasy yet grounded in realism. Jasmine looks stunning and i hope she’s as feisty as she was in the cartoon, she was the first princess who i think broke the mold of the old Disney princess design: she wasnt looking for her prince charming, she had a dream and actually took action herself to make it happen (going over the wall to see what was outside the palace), recognized the villain before anyone else did and confronted him, took part in fighting back against the bad guy (yes she still needed to be rescued in the end but come on up till that point the princesses had taken a step back to let the princes/men who had 0 character development beat the badguy). 

as i said im not sold on the genie, but im also not sold on Jafar. im still going to see this movie and hopefully ill be surprised but i very much doubt it will beat the original.

What might happen vs what i WANT to happen.

Okay so we had that amazing scene in the latest episode where Cyrus came out to Jonah (with Disney finally using the word gay) and Jonah being great about it, then TJ enters with the show not even trying to hide that they want you to think these two are going to be together (and out of the two ships I REALLY hope its Tyrus that happens) but heres what im thinking after seeing those 2 promo’s.

the wish that fell of the lantern has never been addressed till this point and its funny how in the promo they show that clip then immediately follow it up with a shot of Jonah & Amber talking with Cyrus & Buffy saying they think they got back together with Andi saying thats not whats happening & that she clearly knows something. so heres my opinion.

Way back when it was announced there would be a gay character in the Disney show Andi Mack it was said there was going to be a “love triangle between two guys and the lead protagonist Andi.” Notice how it said triangle and not that it would be a one sided crush? well it took till the end of season 1 and some of season 2 for the show to have Cyrus even register that he liked Jonah, probably due to caution waiting to see if their show would be canceled on the premise of having a gay character to being with. Maybe now that they know people really enjoy Cyrus’s story line involving his sexuality they will finally make that initial plotline happen, even if Andi is not romantically involved with Jonah anymore. 

So my theory (or rather what im hoping) is that Jonah will turn out to be Bi and that what Andi read on the wish was something along the lines of wanting to stop liking boys and just liking girls, or something along those lines. Andi doesn't think Jonah will get back together with Amber because she thinks he is trying to make himself like girls, hence why he quickly goes from one girl to another when it doesnt work out. Andi hasn’t said anything to the others or approached Jonah because that would be outing him and taking that time he needs to sort out his head & his feelings. I realize this is probably a very unlikely scenario but people thought Reed having a gun in that bag was an unlikely scenario too.

So if Jonah is Bi having Cyrus come out to him is a big deal because he has someone he could talk to about these feelings. This could possibly lead to Jonah becoming attracted to Cyrus (if he isnt already). 

But what about TJ? well at this point it would be disappointing if he wasnt gay & attracted to Cyrus and shocking if he was rude to cyrus about his sexuality when Cyrus comes out, so i think Tyrus is definitely on the cards. but what if within minutes of each other both guys come out to Cyrus and say they want to start dating him? again this scenario is INCREDIBLY unlikely but gosh darnit this show is breaking boundaries in representation & its story themes on a kids shows so why the hell not?

Okay so I’ve read the World Turned Upside Down book, seen the posters and teases released and finished the comic, so now comes all the theories lol. (Spoilers)

I know I’m late posting theories but its been hard getting time to write them down. So here goes.

 WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE COMIC & THE TEASE FROM THE COMPANION BOOK FOLLOW

  1.       The Rats. We all know by this point one of the episodes is titled Mall Rats, and its unlikely the title is talking about kids hanging out at the mall. The poster pretty much confirms this as running towards whatever horror has escaped the upside down are many rats. When Hopper found that large chamber in the tunnels there were multiple piles of bones and furred flesh from the wildlife that had either stumbled into or been dragged into the tunnels to feed the vines and Demodogs. So its possible that some rats may have entered the tunnel, made contact with the upside down atmosphere that could carry the Mindflayers essence/virus/whatever and become infected/possessed like Will was. The only thing that debunks this is that everything connected to the mind flayer supposedly died when the gate closed, which would mean any rats infected should have died as well. Another possibility is that some rats may have made it through the tunnel all the way to the gate and entered into the upside down where they have been corrupted and mutated by the Mindflayer ready for when the gate is reopened. Which comes to my next theory (we’ll come back to the rats later):

2.       How the creature(s) crossover. One thing that has never been established is how the original Demogorgon from season 1 opened those mini gates (they don’t have a name so im going with it) whenever it snatched prey and took them to the upside down. I say minigates because unlike THE gate these ones were small and closed themselves after an amount of time. The Demogorgon opened at least 3 in the byers home itself. It also used ones we didn’t see it open like the one it used to catch Barb & the one in the woods with the deer. Janes the one who originally opened the first gate after making contact with it but afterwards it seemed to be able to open any gate it wanted whenever it caught the scent of blood. But then in the comics we see Will finding the mini gate he talks to Joyce through in season 1, though its not fully formed and more like a window. Now it wasn’t till season 2 we learned that the Demogorgon & everything “alive” in the upside down is just a vessel for the mindflayer to control, so did it inherit the ability to open gates or did it lose that ability when that particular Demogorgon was destroyed? In season 2 it already had a stable gate that didn’t close after a while so it may not have seen the need to use it & focused on expanding into Hawkins through its tunnels. On the other hand if it doesn’t have that ability maybe the creature(s) will cross through a random minigate that opens if they do indeed still open. Again what debunks the minigate theory is that everything from the upside down appeared to die when the gate was closed, so if there are minigates to the upside down there should have been a “signal” that would have kept them alive. That being said we never saw what became of that piece of the mindflayer that was exorcised from Will in the cabin. Maybe because it’s a piece of the mind flayer itself it is able to survive the gate closing and took possession of those rats to survive, slowly growing its shadowy essence/virus through them and its goal of the season is to get Jane to reopen the gate.

3.       The Poster’s Monster. We can only see what might be part of two arms or legs and its knee’s/elbows. But if you can find a good enough picture you can see all the disgusting detail of what I think it might be made of & what its name might be. Remember the rats running towards it? I think their running to become part of it. Those little thin protrusions running up and down the limbs look very much like tiny ribcages don’t they? Also I cant find a clear enough picture online but someone had a close up pointing to one of the rats on their Instagram story & I swear I can see a rat face near one of its knees/elbows. In the World Turned Upside Down book the sneak peak mentioned that this season would have some disgusting body horror moments reminiscent of The Fly which I took to mean that it would be a human going through a disgusting transformation, but know I wonder if whatever escapes the upside down or has been in hiding since season 2 is slowly building itself a new body out of the rats it has infected. Then as it gets bigger it starts looking for other bodies to assimilate/mutate.  This also fits into a real life disgusting phenomenon that is also the name of a Dungeons & Dragons monster: THE RAT KING. In real life a rat king is created when a large swarm of rats is so big that multiple rats end up getting their tails knotted together through having to crawl over & around each other in tight spaces. Google it but be warned its pretty gross since they do not survive as they cannot move and get to food/water whilst stuck & in some cases their feces have glued some of them together. The D&D equivalent doesn’t have a picture but is basically a wererat. Doesn’t match what I’ve just described but since when has any of the creatures from the upside down looked like the D&D monster their named after? Another thing that makes me think it’s a cluster of bodies is from one of the pages of the last issue of the comic series. Its hard to tell if what Will is seeing once he’s connected to the mindflayer via that vine in his mouth (that’s also impregnating him with baby Dart) is real since earlier he was hallucinating that he actually was Will the wise but I cant help but notice how similar the horror he is seeing has a similar look to our mystery monsters limbs. I feel like this whole section is a tease of whats to come & just how many worlds the mindflayer has taken (WTF is that massive jaw bone from?!!)  

I have more theories on other stuff but this has taken long enough to write so think I’ll stop there for now. I don’t know which I want more when season 3 hits: for my theories to be true or for them to be something else entirely. I just hope whatever answers are revealed they make sense within the world the Duffers have created.

CALLED IT!!!

I’m so happy to see that once again Disney are the ones tackling the issue of gun safety which i haven't seen on a kids show since the days of Gargoyles, another Disney show. 

I’m also wondering if the police officer wanting to talk to Cyrus scene is after TJ calls them to let them know about the gun and they need Cyrus’s testimony to confirm who owns the gun. That may be how TJ tries to make it up to Cyrus when he doesn’t leave with him. That’s what I’m hoping over the police getting involved over someone getting hurt anyway. 

So I’ve seen the promo for episode 6 and in interviews they’ve said this would cover a very important subject with today’s youth.

I reckon its a gun in that bag. A lot of people recon its drugs but i think its a gun. 

There are still many accidents where kids and young adults mess around with their parents guns and that’s not even touching on the insane amount of mass shootings going on in america. 

Also remember from the promo before the series started where Cyrus enters an office at school and there’s a police officer and he asks if he’s in trouble? I reckon if it is a gun someone gets hurt and the officer has come to question Cyrus if he knows anything about it (like who the gun belonged too).

Maybe it will be drugs but these days i think gun safety and violence is a bigger issue than drugs in america these days.
