Greetings! I wanted to explain my intentions for this page, as intention is so deeply important in witchcraft.
My posts remain alive, not stagnating after posting but continuing to be edited and added on to. I am constantly learning and comparing sources and experiences and collecting knowledge. My goal here is to compile sources, to give base information and a jumping off point for further research. I strive for interaction, I don’t exactly understand tumblr culture surrounding post interaction, but I want to say feel free to comment on my posts, mention a useful article or book you read, or contribute your own experience with a crystal or herb. I want to interact and connect with a community of magical practitioners.
Thank you for reading, and best of luck, health and safety in your travels.

Fluorite | calcium fluoride
Also known as: The Genius Stone, Fluorspar
Appearance and Other Info: Fluorite is a translucent crystal that can come in nearly any color; purple, green, blue, yellow, clear and white are most common. Fluorite is often banded and contains multiple different colors. On the mohs hardness scale it is classified as a 4. Fluorite most commonly crystallizes in an isometric cubic or octahedral pattern. Fluorescence, the phenomenon of a substance emitting light that it has absorbed, can be found in fluorite containing certain impurities, and the phenomenon was named after fluorite in 1852.   The earliest known record of Fluorite is a 1530 work by Georgius Agricola and was originally known as fluorspar.
Correspondences: mental clarity, calm, relaxation, sleep, bone and joint issues, cleansing, memory, wind, balance, grounding
‘Practical’ Uses: Fluorite is useful for those who deal with musculoskeletal concerns, it aids in relieving bone and joint pain, and mobility issues. It is also related to dental health.
Metaphysical Uses: Fluorite enhances mental clarity, clearing out or cleansing negativity, confusion and scattered thoughts. In this way it can strengthen analytical abilities, especially decision making, by reducing emotional involvement in a situation. This balance can help to ease worries or anxiety about the future. The mental clarity aspect of fluorite is also beneficial to the student, assisting focus, helping to open space for learning and calming anxieties about academic performance. Fluorite has been called the ‘Genius Stone’ and can aid one's memory. Fluorite is not only a stone of mental balance, but also helps to provide physical balance and grounding. Different colors of fluorite contain their own additional  properties and correspondences.
Purple - purification, Spirit communication, reduce workplace pressures to overwork, calm, relaxation, sleep Blue - throat chakra, communication, creativity Green - cleansing, heart chakra, healing the heart Pink - cleansing, heart chakra, emotional cleansing/healing Black - astral cleansing Yellow - mental powers, intellectual ability, creativity, group endeavors

Lemon Veil for Fighting Negative Thoughts and Energies
Similar to carrying black crystals this spell/ritual/practice aims to absorb negative energy.
For this practice you will need a head covering and fully dried piece(s) of lemon peel. Prepare your components as you see fit.
Metaphysically, lemon can be used as a sponge for negative energies. By placing lemon peel in a head covering, securing with clips or pins if needed, you are putting a negative energy sponge right up next to the source of the negative thoughts and internal energies. You are also protecting yourself from outside negative energies by having the barrier of the head covering as well as the reinforcement of the lemon peel.
If meditation or visualization is helpful in your practice you can, at intervals or when a negative thought pops into your head, visualize that thought as having a physical form, for example a black smoke or liquid, and it being pulled towards the lemon peel and absorbed by it.
Modifications
If necessary lemon peel can be replaced with lemon imagery, such as embroidery, beading, etc on the head covering.
Full head covering could be replaced with pins, headbands, clips or hair ties though this will weaken protection from external negative energies.
For more info on the correspondences of lemon, check out this post -

Tomato | Solanum lycopersicum
Correspondences : prosperity, protection, love, passion, creativity, home protection
Venus, Aphrodite, Hera, feminine
'Practical Uses' : aid in liver functions, rich in vitamin c, lycopene, potassium and citric acid, mild aphrodisiac properties
Magickal Uses : Tomatoes placed on windowsills or by entrances block evil from entering a building, tomato plants growing in a garden also offer protection. A tomato placed on the mantle brings prosperity. Eating inspires love, passion and creativity. To attract money eat tomato combined with dill, cinnamon or basil. To attract love, eat fresh tomatoes with rosemary or wear dried tomato seeds in a pouch on a necklace.
Other Info : The tomato is part of the nightshade family. While technically fruit, tomatoes are eaten and labeled as a vegetable based on their nutritional value and flavor. When tomatoes were first introduced to Europe they were thought to be poisonous due to their relation to belladonna and deadly nightshade. This is not entirely untrue as the leaves and root of tomato plants are poisonous.
Folk Names: love apple, Guzungu, Kamatis, apple of paradise (hungary), golden apple (greek)

Rosemary | Rosmarinus officinalis/Salvia rosmarinus
Folk Names: compass weed/plant, dew of the sea/sea dew, elf leaf, guardrobe, incensier, libantios (Greek), polar plant, mary’s cloak, herb of remembrance
Correspondences : protection, love, lust, mental powers, memory exorcism, healing, sleep, youth, burial, remembrance
Masculine, sun, fire, Aphrodite/Venus, the Virgin Mary
'Practical' Uses : Rosemary infused water can be used as a rinse for hair, stimulating hair growth, soothing the scalp from conditions such as dandruff, and to add shine and strength. Rosemary oil is thought to prevent baldness, reduce split ends, help with hair growth and dandruff. Rosemary baths and oil improve circulation and relieves muscle swelling and pain.
Magickal Uses : A powerful incense, burning Rosemary provides powerful cleansing and purifying vibrations, and such can clear a place of negative energies. To preserve youth Rosemary should be smelled often as well as added to baths, which are also associated with purification. Rosemary is also a sleep aid, when placed under the pillow it helps to ensure a good night’s sleep, and placed under the bed is thought to protect the sleeper from harm (as well as ensure fidelity). Combining these two practices should amplify the quality of sleep. Rosemary may be hung outside doors or on a porch to protect from thieves and intruders. Before doing healing work, use rosemary to cleanse the hands. Rosemary is also associated with love/lust and was worn and carried by medieval brides.

Associated with fairies and elves.
Other Info : “Where Rosemary grows, the woman rules.” Rosemary is thought to be best grown by women, and in England it was once believed that rosemary only grew in the gardens of homes where the women were the head of the house. (Adding in my own anecdotal evidence: I am a male identifying person and have attempted to grow rosemary several times, from starts and seeds and have been unsuccessful. Of course this does not mean that people other than women cannot grow Rosemary, but that it may take more effort and care) Rosemary is a member of the sage family Lamiaceae and has a fibrous root system.
In Christian folklore it is said that the Virgin Mary gave Rosemary it’s blue flowers when she rested her cloak on a bush.
Rosemary has been referenced in several Shakespeare plays as linked to burial, funeral, and remembrance, most notably in Hamlet, Ophelia says, "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember." In both Europe and Australia this herb remains linked to funeral and remembrance especially related to war.
