Gender-Neutral reader, but pet names such as sweet pea and darling are used.

• Bob would definitely love having such a crafty worker, often watching as you doodle away on your notepad and folding origami out of napkins. Sometimes your little sketches even go missing when you aren’t looking… He likes to hang them on his fridge at home, or in his office. Bob often showers you in compliments, watching as you thank him with a humble smile. Just seeing you smile at him only fuels him on, resulting in even more compliments. You slowly begin to grow flustered, hiding your face underneath the brim of your hat. Bob finds it adorable, seeing his darlin’ so overwhelmed by his love.

• Your coworkers often ask you for little bracelets and doodles, glowing with curiosity when you doodle at work. He’s jealous that you don’t draw him or make him anything like that, but one day when you come into work, you hand him a finished drawing of himself. You even made him a charm for his keys! “I made these for you. I thought it was fair, seeing as you’re always so nice to me and what not…”

• Bob is silent as he shakily takes them from you, watching intensely as you begin to cower into yourself. “Um… I’m sorry if you don’t like it. I can take it back—!” You try to reach for the paper and charm, only to be scooped into Bob’s arms. You squeaked in surprise, having the air squeezed out of your lungs as Bob spun you around. He kept thanking you over and over, hearty laughter spilling from him. “Thank you, thank you, Sweet pea! I’ll treasure this forever!”

• For the rest of the day, he’ll show it off to anyone that’ll listen, especially your coworkers. Bob swells with pride as you swat his arm, embarrassed. He keeps showing it to EVERYONE, and when you mean everyone, you mean everyone. Bob only begs you for more drawings and cute charms/accessories, his heart beating out of his chest when he realizes the amount of effort you pour into your work. Bob’s your biggest fan, and he’s glad to hold that title when you tease him about it.

MIni update time, because why not. (No I'm not procrastinating my uni assignments...I would never!)

So demo still under way. I've got a good chunk done so far. I'm finding doing the coding as I move along in the writing to be the best method for me atm.

Still deciding if I should just add the stats now or later. Also, I'm taking any suggestions for customization options, especially what outfits you want MC to be able to wear. So feel free to drop them in comment or ask box.

I'm already writing up some of the kinktober / flufftober scenarios. Can also leave suggestions for those.( I would love to say demo is coming end of this month but not likely thanks to uni/internship. Just know I'm working on it! TBD if I shorten the demo and get it out sooner rather than later.

I've also gotten some questions about Cam, and how he feels about MC. I've made a post some while ago. For those who do want to romance someone besides Cam, feel free to. Cam is the best wingman, he will support MC and accept their feelings. You want him to be your best man, maid of honor? He will do it all! He will even support some of the RO's in romancing you. (Though some he truly questions.)

Either way, would like to thank all of you for the love and support of the story/characters. It truly means a lot. Can't wait for you all to get to enjoy the angst story together.

A WRITER’S PROBLEM.

It is so sad that fluff and sfw works in general do not even get the chance to be read most of the time. A sfw scene grants the author the possibility to show the true colors of a character and their feelings. Not everything is about sex. A writer is passionate about both of the genres, just give it a shot. It’s important for us.

Not to mention that we put so much effort even into a small drabbles, even if we are talking about silly shots over playing tennis and stargazing. We spend hours on our keyboard to provide you contents.

Sfw works are works too. Remember that.

Author Rambles

An observation that I’ve never noticed before I created an IF is how much romance plays a part in these stories and thus the interactions with the readers. Evidenced by the amount of RO questions I have in the inbox in terms of their relationship in a hypothetical with mc.

Lowkey getting over-exposed with the ROs as romances because to me that’s the least interesting thing about them 😭 imma nuke all three of them 😭😭😭

Hahaha no I’m only joking I do appreciate all the questions I get because it means I managed to touch the reader in some way. But it does make me wonder if a story without romance would ever do well in the IF community?

I don’t know I’ve been curious about this topic for a while now. It also makes me question my habits as a reader of IFs, like would I myself play a game that didn’t have any romance? I read books without romance just fine but I feel like I’m different with interactive fiction.

If there is one thing that I know for certain with this fic, it's that I want to concentrate on Dean's evolution through his emotional maturity and growth. I want to explore him finding himself as a man who is allowed to be in love, a man who is more than a hunter, a man who exists beyond the notion that his worth is only ascertained by the things that he can do for others and the safety and wellbeing of his brother. I want him to find things that he likes that are outside of the things that he would normally choose. I want him to decorate his skin in art, dress in things that make him feel confident when he looks in the mirror, and grow to be more than the soldier and parent that he was raised to be.

Dean deserves to be loved, to show his love for others openly, and to be more than the image that John created through violence and neglect.

Minor News; reading this not necessary!

I'm so scatter brained. Overwhelmed, emotional. A mental disaster, really. I'm slowly working my way through Chapter 6 and will be including 7 as well. I would be including 8, too, but there is a ton of flavor text I never came up with originally. I noped out of that idea so fast.

I have no idea how to use Ko-Fi so bear with me on that.

Today, I pretty much finished planning Book 3... which leads me to this next part. Now, originally, because of what happens, Nyx's story wasn't going to happen until after I wrote/published Amberwood. However, to put it simply, I changed my mind because of this thought: "It'd be damn complicated and awkward if Nyx had his own possible romantic encounters... if his story comes after Amberwood." Soooo, after Agents of Lucifer, Nyx's story will be worked upon.

When it comes to his thing, I know how I want it to end and have some general scene ideas. Full disclosure, yes, the means playing as Nyx. Which... will be interesting. I still have to look up how to make an interactive with an MC that has their own personality and set goal. Kind of excited, though! Nyx is the only one so far that I knew would have his own story from early on.

All know is this; I'm either going to have people that hate me for what's to come, or they're going to roll their eyes at me.

(I’m the anon who asked about nsfw explicit scenes and genitalia)

the whole cog not allowing nsfw scenes suprised me because there are plenty of IFs that have very vulgar and nsfw scenes (not sex or anything tho, they have fade to black), however I think that cog does have another site that is like hearts something that does allow those scenes buuuut I may also be wrong with that. (I’m not disappointed that there won’t be nsfw per say but i am thrilled that you will go in-depth with emotions and not just a fade to black) but if you really do want to add nsfw scenes you could always upload two IFs of the same if one with nsfw (to heart whatever the name was) and one without to cog. btw really looking forward to how your gonna add how we can react when meeting the dead ROs (when they basically surround us)

2. yea I get the whole not being sure on how to portray trans characters, totally understand I’m just a. But sad that A there is not a whole lot of trans characters as choices (like female, male or non binary or trans ROs) but nothing against you.

Oh - they do allow nsfw scenes but nothing too explicit (At least, that's what I thought till I see comments in my previous ask mentioned up there ☝🏻) Of course there would be a fade to black option, but I'll try my best in giving both them and the detailed scenes its worth. (and if I really can be explicit with those NSFW scenes, I'm worried about how my smut writing is gonna look 🤣) And I believe you're talking about Heart's Choice - that's a branch of Choice of Games that sells romance-genre/focused games. I don't know if that allows only certified authors to apply though, but I would still pick to apply Hosted Games should the time to submit my WiP comes. And regarding uploading two IFs of the same if to CoG - I'm afraid that's not how it works in that company? I can't imagine them being pleased with posting the same IF twice. But regarding TSR: I don't have plans to submit it to HG because of how brutal the contents are. Maybe if I want to, I'll try Twine...But learning a whole new coding mechanic is difficult for me because I'm slow with learning stuff, so I'm still sticking with dashingdon for the time being. Thank you for giving me a mental workout tho! XD This is interesting to discuss and all.

Any tips for writing sapphic romance

I don’t think writing sapphic romance is much different from writing any kind of romance. Feelings are feelings, and human beings are human beings. We all experience love in very different ways, and yet it renders us crazy and desperate all the exact same.

I don’t write romance, but romantic fantasy; the nuance is that rather than having the plot gravitate around a relationship, the relationship supports my plot (usually a magical adventure of sorts). And whether i write wlw, mlm, or else, I don’t change my formula. I make every character unique and imperfect, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation.

What I like is putting them in uncomfortable situations (aka hell) and then watching them suffer, really. I put together people that originally don’t belong together + forced proximity + having them face their fears + having them help & rely on one another + slow burn + making them actually get to know one another + making them doubt and cry and get real with their emotions and feelings + having their beliefs being ripped apart, twice, because betrayals + pain pain pain

Too often, I read romances that start with a physical attraction and never elaborate much deeper. Attraction is great for just dating, it’s great for erotica, but if you want a much stronger story and a relationship to seem believable, they have to go through rough patches, they have to test their limits and see the worst of each other. No one’s perfect. That’s cliche, but that’s true. Your characters can’t (and shouldn’t) be perfect either—that’s boring and no reader will identify with them. Us readers are like our characters, we want someone who will keep on loving us when we’re bleeding and screaming and hurting and making mistakes (deadly or else).

That being said, writing sapphic literature, and not necessarily romance, allows me to get more chances to explore some topics that are important to me: feminism, feminine rage, women’s sexuality, inclusiveness, friendships between women, trans women, women of colour, women being women, women supporting women, etc.

These can all be written into non-sapphic stories, of course, but the more you make space for women into your pages, the more characters are women, the more voices you give them. And us women have so many things to say.

When people ask me why I choose to write sapphic stories, here’s my answer: I simply love writing about women because women can be anyone and everything, and that’s enough for me.

My favorite thing about writing their progressing dynamic is how they tie into each arc! I love that each arc forces something out of them, cause otherwise I don't think they ever would have grown. Figuring out a unique arc each time is already fun, but trying to get everything to come back around into prying another little secret out of them is like a puzzle and I adore the process.

And.. To be honest, the only bits about them that I miss talking about is more just what they allegorically represent to me. I understand that they mean different things to other people, and so my personal connection to them, while important to me and something I would love to discuss, is not really an inherent part of the story and is just my personal interpretation of it!

I'm always wary of analyzing my own work, just out of fear of "canonizing" things that, really, I want people to interpret and project on their own. to me they are my grief around my chronic illness, but to others they are something entirely different; both of us are completely valid and I would never want my inherent position as the author to override someone else's experience with my work!
