Before he's aware of making the decision to do so, Obi-Wan has grabbed the monster from Theed and flipped them, shoving the menacing zabrak up against the wall and pinning him there.

The bastard looks delighted.

"Why," Obi-Wan says, just short of a snarl, "do you want dragon eggs?"

He'd like to know many other 'whys' as well -why is Maul alive, why is he laughing like that, why is this happening to him- but 'why does he want a bunch of unborn predators' is a good place to start.

It’s a tragedy we’ve never gotten a syndicate gala on screen. That lil crimson dawn party in solo doesn’t count. I need the big guys to all be there ok! Just hanging out looking snazzy. All the bounty hunters and smugglers in one giant room.

All I’m saying is TBB season 3 trailer showed us Fennec, Cad and Ventress and I feel like they all deserve to look snazzy. Also Paul Bettany‘s not doing anything he could easily voice some Dryden lines.

Hi…I'm back with my sketches. I just train and implement my little ideas at the same time. This idea came to my mind a very long time ago, and I had suitable sketches for its implementation, although I did not finish it. Ideas like this just don't make me want to and I end up using them for sketching. I do not like to share raw material, but at the same time I understand that I will not develop the idea further than this.

About the incompleteness of the idea and its incomplete implementation. In principle, the whole idea can be understood in detail, but even so I will explain. You never know who wants to write a fanfiction)) The fact is that Maul knew perfectly well that he had a meeting, he deliberately put Ahsoka in such an awkward position, and was also happy when Ahsoka used force to expel outsiders. He was also the one who opened the door…by force, of course, which is why Ahsoka asks "Why?" afterward. Like: Maul, what the hell did you do??? At the same time, Ahsoka did not immediately scold Maul, because she perfectly understood that this wretch arranged everything on purpose and there was no point in going into the details of her dissatisfaction, especially when you yourself enjoy it. Still, while I was writing this, I came up with a kind of continuation. Allegedly after Ahsoka still scolded Maul for his act, he allegedly apologized, but only to pull off another prank. He leaves for a meeting. Ahsoka comes to his senses and is about to leave, but notices that her underwear and shorts are missing. Maul's thoughts on the way to the hall where guests are waiting for him: I'll die, but it will be fun. I also know that perhaps the administration will not evaluate the rating of my latest art … but we'll see.

Backstage

ID: The life of a musician is tough. It's all fun and games when you're playing on stage, but when you have to dismantle everything and lift amps who weight 30kg... it's another story. Here is Maul and Dryden Vos after a show, helping the roadie to load the van. Maul wears his favourite leather jacket and a pair of black jeans. Dryden rocks a pair of flare pants and a colorful hawaiian shirt. Both are lifting one of those terribly heavy amps we mentioned above. Also, I’d like to say a few a words about Dryden. In my AU he is a punk idiot with spiked hair and his scarred face. He got those scars on purpose because “tattoos are for posers, scars are cooler and make you punkier”. Like I said, he is an idiot. Also he got a shiner from Maul after saying that.

What are your thoughts on Dryden and Maul? 👀 (Also I think you might enjoy the new book called Crimson Climb.)

So Dryden is an interesting one, because Maul has been shown again and again to be highly aggressive when confronted with other men in positions of power (more Sidious trauma lol). And likewise, I think Dryden would very much see Maul as a means to an end, someone to leverage for more power and then potentially betray if the opportunity arose, à la Pre Vizsla.

But Dryden seems to be more of a pragmatist, and obviously he was able to work with Maul for a long time. As long as he was able to stay in his own sphere of influence, he was probably happy enough to keep the peace.

However, that's kind of a boring assessment. So let's imagine that they're put into a position of needing to work together more directly. I think there are elements of Dryden's personality that would grate Maul, namely his Core World affectations and his more... Kenobi-ish traits, for lack of a better word. And likewise, Dryden doesn't like to be in a situation in which he isn't the one exerting the greatest control upon the group. He follows Maul, sure, but at a distance! In his own element, he's king.

I could see the intial difficulties being mostly that Dryden would feel that Maul was disrespecting him in ways that were both humiliating and potentially reputation destroying. Maul, insecure about his own authority (he really is), would probably never miss and opportunity to patronize or threaten Dryden. He would have absolutely no qualms about doing this publicly.

But they're both smart men, and it would be interesting to see ways that they could adapt to each other. Most likely, Dryden would just try to be patient and grit his teeth through their time together. But if that time together was indefinite, he'd find ways to adjust himself to Maul's abrasiveness. He would prioritize making himself indespensible to Maul, assessing Maul's weaknesses and then becoming expert in those things. Dryden would navigate the drama and family politics of the syndicate scene on Maul's behalf, perhaps taking a more advisory/consigliere role. When negotiations were needed, Dryden would be the one doing them.

And I think for them, that could work! I could see Dryden waxing poetic about the intricate details and juicy gossip about the various families while Maul stoically tolerates him, glad that someone knows what's going on (and it isn't him). And Dryden would leverage the reputation he'd gain for being obviously on "friendly terms" with Maul, which would probably make him an asset to just about everyone who might prefer to speak to Maul through a buffer (so... just everyone, then).

Conversely, Dryden's personal involvement would actually do a better job of keeping Maul in the loop than he'd otherwise expect, because Dryden is savvy and clever and good at mixing with people. So ultimately I think they actually could complement each other nicely, albeit after some friction that may or may not end in someone being stabbed (probably Dryden).

you bet! snacksverse is set in a nonspecific time after the clone wars, in an au where maul said fuck this instead of trying to lure obi-wan in to change the nearly hopeless future he saw in his visions. so he goes back to dathomir instead, and really dives in on the crimson dawn stuff instead.

fast forward a bit, and you've got a thriving criminal empire headed by maul, savage, and their returned-from-the-dead brother feral. the good news: everyone's alive and thriving (-and probably committing atrocities)! the bad news is that they can't keep 'staff' to save their lives. so these guys are living like messy bachelors, running missions, doing crime, living off ration bars and bantha jerky.

until posh ass dryden vos decides that enough is enough, and hunts down some very unusual help... hello x reader! you're a chef trained at a prestigious academy on nar shaddaa, with a mandalorian past and a passion for exotic recipes. 🔥🔥🔥

For my dear friend @redpandaseas

My tablet is sadly dying (it’s a 20 year old Wacom Intuos, so it owes me nothing). While asking around for advice on new tablets, they offered to sell me their lightly used Wacom Cintiq 16 for what I had saved up. As a thank you I asked who they wanted a painting of, and Dryden was the selection! I’ve been wating to paint him for a while so here we are!

Some slight modifications have been made to his design per Redpandaseas’ headcanons for Dryden. I also pulled from some of the original concept art for the character to make him a little more alien to fullfill those requests.

I made! It's so strange, I'm constantly busy with something and fall out of reality, because of which I forget about my favorite pastime. But despite this, I returned to my plan. I was going to draw this in October? Wow…it's the end of February already? When I missed it all. Horrible. I look at all the new chapters of fanfiction and comics that have come out and my eyes widen. Where can I find time to read all this. hah.

If we return directly to the topic of art. I posted a sketch a long time ago, where I even asked to guess what fanfiction I was inspired by, but this time I don’t see the point in it. This is one of my favorite moments from fanfic "Splintered Realities"…author: @calyxborealis

If it is very interesting whose frightened eyes are in the reflections, then this is Vos and Qi'ra.
