tropical. i’m sorry but listen. LISTEN. he loves the coconut smells, he loves the ocean smells, he loves the tropic fruit medleys? how could he not? he’s a hungry motherfucker you pull up smelling like bananas and pineapple he will inherently want you.

fruity. lol couldn’t help myself with that joke. while oikawa absolutely loves warm & full perfumes, he’s a sucker for fruit smells. it’s just cute! and yummy! and nice! feels comforting, welcoming, especially if you mix it with something else (blackberry & vanilla, peach & jasmine, etc)!

seasonal. i live by this. i will die by this. yes, he wants you to wear white pumpkin and chai while you get ready for halloween, yes he loves twisted peppermint while you decorate for christmas. oh? it’s spring? and you’re wearing floral perfume? well, isnt that just ironic. you’re wearing ocean breeze during summer break? it only makes sense.

yamaguchi tadashi

lavender vanilla. this one is pretty specific, but i think he would absolutely lose it over this. in a more generalized sense, i think he likes really warm scents over cooler fragrances but lavender vanilla is his achilles heel.

bokuto kotaro

rose water and/or coconut. something about it feels so calming to him? it’s a perfect mix of like natural & girly and it tugs at his heart

akaashi keiji

japenese cherry blossom. another specific one and i can’t really explain it but it just feels right.

iwaizumi hajime

warm vanilla sugar. a sucker for the classics. he has just always always loved this smell. associates it with being pretty? he doesn’t know why. it just feels comfy for him!!

hemp lotion. okay, this isn’t perfume or anything but i have this one specific lotion “hempz” and it smells so good and i guarantee this man would be in love with it. it’s my fav lotion ever 10/10 recommended

citrus. he’s also a big fan of cranberry things, keep that in mind. there’s this perfume i own called “champagne toast” from bath & body works and i think he’d like it. definitely likes grapefruit and orange

“neutral” kitchen smells? cucumber melon, avocado, honeydew, apple, etc. it’s so nice to him? it’s like an off brand natural, but in a hot way. he loves v05 shampoo and conditioner absolutely.

miya atsumu

nature vibes. what can you expect from stupid country boy. loves lavender and honey, juniper breeze, wild honeysuckle, amber, other things. very honorable mention for sweat pea. he LOVES it. literally is obsessed with it.

But what I don't like, is black forest cheesecake; which is basically a chocolate cheesecake with cherries in the middle and on top. The first time you dated, he was late by accident thanks to traffic and apologized a hundred times.

“It’s the first impression!! I never thought I would...oh gosh, Y/N” he blathers while you assure him that he is okay and that it’s not a big deal.

When you dated Roger, you told him that all the movies you saw about Westerners said they were bold about kissing in public and that it made you uncomfortable.

“So...could you please ask before kissing me, Roger? And nowhere where anyone can see us?” you plead.

He then looks at you very softly and gives you an affirmative. He is very observant and surprisingly careful about what is okay with you.

At one point, you both were walking in London and he was being very sweet and called you “honey.” You froze.

“What’s wrong love?” he asked worriedly, giving you a look with his blue eyes.

“Nothing but...honey is just really corny? How common is it?” you ask.

“Very!” he answers laughing a little. But you eventually get used to him calling you that.

Though when you both were in the first private place you could get and began kissing, he blurted out “Y/N, I love you...”

Again, you looked blankly at him “I thought you only said, ‘I like you’ to people...and is it a little too soon to use ‘love?’ ”

“Well, then, Y/N, I really like you! I can tell you I love you in a week, okay?” he offers, kissing your forehead.

Brian:

Brian adores the Japenese language and does his best to try to learn it

Even if reading Kanji is what always gets to him, but he always says it’s beautiful to see and watch.

He would learn all sorts of sweet terms of endearment and uses them for you.

“I’ll get the milk, koibito” he says, pressing a kiss to your shoulder from the back before he goes.

He falls in love deeply with the culture and the sight of him in a kimono is one to behold.

On his Japan trips, he takes a thousand pictures, though you bet at least half of them are of you with some beautiful background.

When he takes you to England, you are amazed at the countryside and you both have a high tea, you look at everything and then say “I can’t eat anymore! And there’s fifteen more sandwiches and two scones!”

He smiles, “we could just take it home and have it later” he suggests.

You both enjoy secret little conversations in Japenese that leave you both smiling and giggly and soft.
