My Mother!

A Mother's Love, So Pure and True

A mother's love, forever enduring, A bond that's unbreakable, so reassuring, A love that's unconditional and pure, A treasure that's priceless, so secure.

From the moment I entered this world, Her love wrapped around me, tightly furled, Her gentle touch, her soothing voice, Her unwavering support, my constant choice.

She held my hand as I took my first steps, Cheered me on with every challenge met, She wiped away tears, kissed away pain, Her love an unwavering, eternal refrain.

She taught me lessons, both big and small, Guided me with wisdom, through it all, Her patience, grace, and endless care, A love that's beyond compare.

Her heart, a reservoir of boundless love, Her embrace, a shelter from storms above, Her presence, a beacon of unwavering light, A love that shines through day and night.

Her sacrifices, countless and unseen, Her love, a constant, evergreen, Her warmth, her selflessness, her grace, A love that time cannot erase.

A mother's love, a precious treasure, A bond that fills my heart with pleasure, For all she is and all she's done, I'm forever grateful, her cherished one.

So here's to you, my dearest mother, My guiding star, my rock, my other, Your love, a gift that's beyond measure, Forever cherished, a love I'll always treasure.

Happy Mother’s Day to Moms everywhere and especially to those Moms, like my own, who are having to spend it alone because of Covid-19. My Mom is one of the most talented, creative people I have ever known. Her inward beauty surpasses her outward beauty and that’s no small feat. Growing up, my friends always talked about how my Mom looked like a movie star. My big brothers friends all had crushes on her. Good looks aside, she is a talented artist, decorator and writer, with such a giving spirit and deep thinking mind....and so, so much more. She has always been there for all of her children. I love you with all my heart, Mom! This is a poem I wrote for her sometime back: Unto others, you offer such beauty, So rare it is supremely divine Both physical and inward being Such treasures we seldom find. Through spirit you have spoken To me...which is also part of mine And passed along these words I use But until now, could never find. You Are Not

You are not my mother

You birthed me yes, going on

Like it's a big accomplishment

You say you love me, yet you don't

You call me your daughter, yet I'm not

You act like I am nothing, my words

Are like chalk on a white board,

You never care, no matter how loud I scream for you you hear me

When I was 15, you ignored

My depression that climbed up the walls

Holding me down in my bed, touching

My innocent body as it left marks in my skin

You didn't notice the cuts on my wrist

Until my cousin told you about it

Yet you screamed at me, saying I belonged

In a mental asulym for my pain

When I came out as bisexual

You screamed at me, telling me I was disgrace

Yet you got DRUNK and kissed a girl

That was okay, you were drunk it was a mistake.

Yet now you walk around saying your gay?

Like it's airborn and your infected?

I hate you, your not my mother

Your love does even boil over

You care when you have too, you make it all believable

Yet call me a cow, when nobodies listening.

Your are not my mother

You invaded my space

Read private words written in ink

Yelled at me for my thoughts on paper

And threatened to disown me if I wanted a family

I hate you.

A Poem For Mom.

You took care of me

When I was helpless.

You were there for me

Because you’re selfless.

You were my voice

When I couldn’t speak.

You made the choice

To always be there for me.

You made sure no harm

Came to me in your arms.

Whenever I would cry

You would rock me throughout the night.

No matter the problem.

When I’m feeling blue.

I knew I could turn to you.

Your compassion knows no bounds

You are strength.

When it was just you and I.

You always worked hard

So I could have the best life.

I want to thank you

For everything, you’ve given me.

My final thing to say

I love you and Happy Mother’s Day.

Waktu demi waktu….. Tak pernah kumencoba ‘tuk membebaskannya Alunan indah yang terbelenggu di setiap tatapan Aku tak pernah yakin apa yang kupenjarakan Apakah sebuah ungkapan Ataukah hanya sekedar serpihan manis yang terasa hambar? Bagaimana kalau aku mencoba? Dobrak saja jerujinya lalu bebaskan! Tapi mengapa lidah tak pernah mengizinkan? Lidah tak pernah bersahabat! Lidah kelu tak bisa mengatakan Lidah beku tak bisa mengungkapkan Kubiarkan sang alunan indah merayap di telinga sang pangeran Ataukah….. Kalian yang membiarkannya mengalun sampai wajah sang putri merona? Lalu mengapa tak pernah kubebaskan untuk malaikat titipan Tuhan? Pernahkah aku menghitungnya? Dua, tiga,....., satu pun tidak! Matanya yang tersenyum….. Suaranya yang semanis gula….. Menyebut namaku di setiap doa Dekapannya yang hangat….. Dan sentuhannya yang sesejuk surga….. Tak cukupkah itu untuk melelehkan jerujinya? Aku harus membebaskannya! Sebelum bumi menelan jasad ini Tetapi bagaimana seharusnya aku menyampaikan? Lewat radio? Lewat media cetak? Atau perlu kusewa helikopter dan bersorak di langit biru? Ah! Tebas semua pikiran itu! Tak peduli siapapun aku Tak peduli betapa tak bersahabatnya lidah Juga tak peduli berapa banyak kunci yang kubutuhkan Aku akan tetap membebaskannya!
