a male who grows up male, socialized male, can’t suddenly have something in common with me just because he ‘feels’ like a woman. The huge difference between me & him is that I was born female, raised female, had puberty where my breasts and curves began to form and i had to face harassment for it. I’ve gone through boys in class calling girls bitches, chasing girls, being scared to go out at night or any time of the day. I’ve been sexualized since I was 11 years old because i’m simply a female. A male cannot suddenly understand all of that now because he wants to wear a skirt and a wig. Denying that is delusional and pathetic. and it’s very ‘Mens rights!’

Mexican women from Women's Declaration International protesting outside of the courts of Mexico City because a prisoner in Chalco was raped by a male inmate that self identifies as a woman.

The sign reads: "Get men out of women's jails".

There is an idea around Prostitution that is used as a justification for it, saying that it's a nessary thing because Men cannot/will not control themselves.

It goes on to say that it's nessary to pretty much sacrifice a small amount of women to be abused to protect "Chaste" women from r*pe and harssment.

However that is absolutely false, it does nothing to decrease r*pe rates.

How does it do that?.

Well it's simple..Prostitution itself actually leads to an increase in sexual violence against women because it tells men that it is acceptable for them to treat a woman as a sexual instrument over which he has total control.

Recognizing sex work as work doesn't erase the inherent issues of exploitation, coercion, and violence that often accompany it. We should be focusing on addressing the root causes of why individuals are driven into the sex industry in the first place, rather than normalizing its existence.
