I need people to know the important similarities between Dio Brando from JJBA and Strahd von Zarovich from D&D

For example here is the scene of Dio from Jojo becoming a Vampire (taken from the anime but the manga chapter this scene is from was released on March 9, 1987) (also skip to about 4 minutes into this video, sorry this is the only one I could find)

And here is an excerpt from the Tome of Strahd straight from AD&D I6 Ravenloft, published in 1983

Important similarities:

Both required the blood of another to become a Vampire (Sergei in Strahd's case and Jonathan's Father in Dio's)

Both, after becoming vampires, were shot at (Strahd by arrows and Dio by guns)

Now the real question is are they both mutually referencing something or is Araki referencing a four year old D&D module in Jojo?
