Okay what if I made a dc au but the only difference is that Jason Todd wrote a (mostly joking) will for himself before he died that included his wish to be buried holding a real sword and Bruce honored that wish so when Jason wakes up from his extended nap he crawls out of his grave while wielding a super ornate sword that he refuses to let go of and so. Everything is the same, mostly, same character progression and all, he also just has this sword that he refuses to let anyone touch

he’s also the prick soprano reader is stuck working with for a production as lead roles. yesterday, you got your ass chewed out in front of everyone for two minuscule mistakes. you had to fight your instinct to walk out of rehearsal, knowing it would cost you the job you worked so hard to get.

“wipe that damn look off your face,” you sneer. “you get to settle for good enough because you can, and you fucking know it. do you ever get told that you’re a dime a dozen? that you’re just another baritone, you’re replaceable, and nothing less than perfection is acceptable?”

he scoffs. “don’t take your pissy attitude out on me, princess. i don’t settle, and you know it. you’re the fucking idiot who puts up with that shit, not me.”

you’re almost seeing red at his feigned ignorance, fists clenched as he flips back through the pages of the score you two are working on.

“don’t listen to ‘em. shut their asses up.” bakugo continues.

both of you know it’s not that simple. he can see the justified frustration building in your eyes, but he doesn’t back down. with brows still drawn together, his crimson gaze softens for a moment as silence settles in.

“measure thirty five. do it again. ‘n this time, you’re gonna convince me that this matters,” he says, pointing to the text. “make me feel somethin.”
