OR- Namjoon and yourself hooked up 5 months ago when the boys were in London on Tour, and you were the creative director for there British GQ & Harper’s Bazzar Cover! Now, months later he’s prepping to release his second mixtape “RM vs Rap Monster”. Opting to go a complete 360 from his first release Mono in all realms. So, with that being said BigHit thinks he needs someone with a little more... “umph” Take a wild guess as to who they call...

NOTE- Just my take on the OG cliché Artist X Stylist AU (Though she’s more of a full package, Art Director/Stylist/Photographer ETC) I have tried to add some minor elements to make it a little more realistic. I will say I typically stray from “Idol-verse” just because if we’re being real, the cultural difference alone sometimes stunts my creativity...BUT I just had a little fun with this one...so I hope you all enjoy it. Also, I don’t go into much physical details but in my mind regardless of race, aesthetic wise the OC is a huge contrast to what he’s use to which is part of her appeal. I picture a tatted Barbie of some sorts...

SIDE NOTE: No shade, but shade, I was lowkey inspired to write this bc I have very strong opinions about the creative team at BH....

“Well, it’s a yes for me” Eyeing him in this Hot pink-fitted Burliti suit, which you paired with a very sheer black Arnar Mar turtle neck. The minute you saw the piece on the runway you’d been dying to get it on someone with melanated skin, and it just so happens, the boys are fresh off the US leg of their stadium tour! So, lucky for you, baby boy’s been in the sun a lot, and Namjoon’s currently a sinful shade of brown and you're totally here for it…

Then to top it off, the mesh material of the turtle neck creates the perfect silhouette around his offensively toned chest, outlining the muscles sinfully. Eternally snorting at the way the fans are gonna thank and curse you out all at the same damn time once they see the looks you’ve pulled for this man!

And yes, you had your crew bring extended shades of foundation and concealer, because his face and neck will match if your name is going to be attached to these damn photos!

Head tilted to the side as you silently observe the way he rakes over his reflection in the mirror, it’s a sixth sense you’ve acquired as a stylist at this point. Half of your job is essentially being a hype man/self love coach, real shit, a lot of these artist aren't always as...confident as one may think!

And just like clockwork Namjoon runs his palm down his thighs, smoothing out nonexistent wrinkles on his pants for the umpteenth time in the span of oh I don’t know 30 seconds? Which in turn prompts you to say….

“You look good Joonie...” Musing over your second glass of Don, the compliment was genuine, tone warm, soothing even, not a hint flirtation insight because that wasn’t your motive. You weren’t trying to get him flustered you’re just trying to gas him up a little, you wanted to see Namjoon get alittle cocky and feel himself!

Ears perking up like an overgrown puppy, head whipping in your direction “Yeah?” The way this man’s eyes just lit up like the soul skyline. I just-goddamn, an almost bashful smile toys on those plush lips of his, and you can’t help the way your chest flutters with nothing but fondness.

“So fuckin cute” Flutters off your lips, as you hide a smile of your own behind a half empty whine glass. The delivery was so faint it almost go lost in the background music floating through the air. However the slight flush hitting his cheeks let you know Namjoon heard you whether he wanted to admit it or not!

”Mmmhmm, the color looks fuckin insane against your skin, not to mention, the way everything's going to pop once we tone your hair a little! “ Eyes drinking him in from head to toe, though there was nothing suggestive playing within your iris. Very much aware of time and place and right now your genuinely looking respectfully! Seeing if any alterations are needed, making sure you like where everything sits along his frame. Making notes in your phone of places you want to pin and adjust later...snapping a couple shots here and there.

Licking his lips anxiously as he plays with the lapels on the blazer “But like-I mean-I- dont’-It doesn’t look like I’m... trying too hard or anything?” Brows furrowed in the center of his face, jaw tight, wincing slightly at his own words, almost as if he was afraid of your response. The vulnerability within his delivery was more than evident, and no matter how common this is with artist, it’s still just as devastating! Regardless of how much he tried to play it off as if he was just making casual conversation, you can see how blatantly uncomfortable he is . Gazing back at you wide eyed, and uncannily exposed, pointing at the outfit in question. Licking his lips anxiously as he plays with the the blazer, switching posses subtlety trying to get a better feel for the suit.

You stayed silent for a minute, taking the time to actually process before speaking which is rare, not gonna lie. Gaze piercing as you hop off the bed, wine, and accessories in hand, swaying closer. “It’s fashion”. The baited pause almost implied that’s all you had to say, as if one-word was self-sufficient, and in your mind it was...but you knew better than to just leave it at that.

“Art at its finest Mr. Kim” You smile something a little devious, and he flushes even deeper as you slowly start to invade his space eyes locked with him meaningfully. You can physically see the shift, the closer you get, Namjoon starts fidgeting slightly under your gaze but he doesn't back down.

“It gives you room to play, create...it’s something that let’s us connect to people without saying a damn thing.” Suddenly the hand that wasn’t holding your alcohol has become a prop, flailing around haphazardly as you spoke, pointing at the various pieces hanging on clothes racks in your suite! The penthouse has essentially been transformed into your own personal walk in closet for the next 5 or so days! “It’s a statement. A opportunity to tap into a side of yourself that maybe you can’t always verbally articulate to the world around you! More importantly, it’s supposed to be fun, it’s literally something that can be removed within seconds! I mean we all have to wear clothes so why not just enjoy it?” Head cocked to the side as you appraise him, brow quirked, eyes warm, yet there's a clear challenge playing within your gaze.

Namjoon’s watching you intently, almost as if he’s taking mental notes as you speak...the heaviness within those dangerously honed eyes of his could almost be unsettling to some, but you quite like it. Made you feel as though he actually gives a flying fuck about what you’re saying.

“In my opinion the only time it looks like someone’s “Trying too hard” Making little air bunnies with your spare hand “Is if they look uncomfortable in what they’re wearing, confidence is key, and I know you know that better than anyone RM!” You muse batting your lashes in Namjoon’s direction, and he dimples back at you, eyes sinking into tiny crescents, face rivaling the color of his suit, trying to hide said smile behind his own glass of champagne.

“I could put you in a damn clown suit...” Words trailing off your tongue lackadaisically as you grow distracted searching the bar for a specific chain from John Hardy. “Which” Focus snapping back in his direction making the later splutter a little “Would be fire as fuck if I did by the way, but-” Namjoon ended up cackling midsentence, almost choking on his drink in the process, fist pounding against his sternum.

Yeah..killing the leader of Bangtan wasn’t really high on your list tonight....

“Ayee, none of that shit...” Smacking him in the back a little more so just to be an ass because he wasn’t even choking anymore “Don’t die on me until we at least get this damn photoshoot done, I had to cancel my trip to Jamaica for this shit!”

Now he’s damn near choking and his laugh was contagious, it’s just.. loud, carefree so yes, your cackling, and there's nothing cute about it. But you honestly don’t care, you let yourself get lost in it! Finally able to feel the atmosphere in the room start to shift to something a little less scripted and a little more organic...

Throwing his hands in the air as If he’s waving a nonexistent white flag “I’m sorry, noona” There’s a pout playing in his lips, not exactly aegyo per say, but it’s fuckin adorable “Blame PD-nim, it’s his fault we had to do this so last minute” Wheezes from his throat, in the form of a slight whine, almost rivaling Jimin if I’m honest.

You already know he was laughing more so due to your delivery, specifically, your casual use of profanity over anything else. This is actually something you use to be self-conscious about, especially at your first shoot with the boys, at the shoot for GQ . Well aware it wasn’t as common in Asia for people especially women to use “fuck” like a comma. So you were hoping they wouldn’t be offended, or uncomfortable by your dialect, and, thankfully they didn’t seem to mind. Much like Joonie over here, they found it entertaining over anything.

“Yeah, a huh, sureee...” Eyes rolling to the back of your head playfully as you start lightly altering the suit in question with clips and pens. “Stay still babe” The pet name slipped off your tongue effortlessly, honestly, that's what you call most people in your life. However you were far too focused to notice how wide eyed and flustered the man before you became upon hearing it directed at him so casually.

A faint little “Sorry” muses off his lips as he gnaws on his inner cheek, trying to stay still as you ghetto-rig hems into place until you can get this under your sewing needle.

“ No, but real shit…” You sigh, taking on a slightly more serious tone “If you step in front of that camera like you own the bitch, regardless of what your wearing..., then they can’t tell you shit! If your comfortable there’s no such thing as trying too hard” You shrug nonchalantly like that was the simplest concept known to man, downing the rest of your drink “Alright, that’s all, thanks for coming to my Ted talk” Waving him off as if you’re about to leave the room and he pouted playfully, jokingly begging you not to leave him yet...it felt good to be able to banter like this. The shift continuous shift within the atmosphere was more than welcomed…

Hesitantly you watch his eyes find their way back to the full length mirror, which promptly smacks you back to reality!

Unfortunately you didn't fly all the way to Seoul just to drink, and shoot shit with Namjoon for hours on end, your actually here to work…

Sooo...

“Alright” Placing your arms on his shoulders, giving him a reassuring squeeze as you peer over his shoulder. Meeting his gaze through the glass, chin resting gently against the blade. “Back to the reason you came Mr. “I’m sooo anxiously” Shooting him a teasing little smirk in the process “The suit, yay or nay”

So, here’s the thing technically the official fitting is tomorrow, and as far as his team knows he’s in the studio with Yoongi and Hoseok finishing up a song!

Which of course raises the question as to why he’s here..alone..mind you..no staff or security in site.

Just Kim Namjoon and yourself.....

Part 1 ends the morning of the shoot, the full thing is set to be around 6/7k! Spoiler, the company is going to want to keep her around for more than just Namjoon’s solo project....

Also, YES...I did see that they actually put Tae in that Burliti suit (I wrote this long before that shoot was released)...I actually hated the way it was styled it though...I never thought I’d say this but MGK’s team did a better job than BH....

Anyways, this episode was OVERWHELMING IN THE BEST WAY!

I figured I would like Raine a considerable amount just based on the owl house in general having like top tier characters, but now that we’ve actually seen them in action I love them SOOOO MUCH!! They’re definitely the type of person that’s shy until they get to know someone well (it was very relatable for me lol) and they show that really well with their interactions with Eda. I am Very concerned for them now, and I guess we finally know the like more secretive reason for the coven brand thingies, and I’m sad that it seems like we won’t get more of them any time soon due to Belos being horrible (as usual). You can really tell that Raine and Eda both care about each other a LOT; they were able to pick their relationship up (friendship? Relationship? Idk but that was absolutely not platonic lol) right where they left off, and I really appreciated that they were like, supportive and encouraging of Eda not trying to distance herself from Luz and King. (The “do you have kids???” joke was so funny I was laughing for a good 5 minutes straight ksjsksh). It genuinely broke my heart when they got separated and those two getting reunited is going right up there with lumity canon on my list of Things That Need to Happen by the End of the Show

Obviously this was a very big episode for Eda, and I appreciate that we got to see like a big range of emotions from her! She’s often either in her confident cool mode or acting more maternal, and really the only things she’s gotten more emotional about in the past have been related to Luz or parent/sibling things, so to see her get genuinely sad not only about Luz/King but also about Raine getting caught was kind of refreshing, in addition to seeing her a bit more flustered in some moments as well. Overall Eda’s characterization in this episode was just Very Dynamic and I appreciated it a lot! I also really just like that she is going out of her way to go against the emperor when she can, even if it’s just hitting some guards in the street. What Belos is doing is getting more and more concerning, and I want to make another post kind of listing all the weird details about EC stuff we’ve gotten this season, but that’s for later.

It’s also interesting that Eda’s magic might be coming back? It’s definitely strange how corrupted it seems, and she might want to stay away from bard for a bit until they can figure it out, but it was really creepy and effective for how they were using it

Bard magic is also so cool!? Like all of the scenes where Raine and Eda were playing together were sooooo pretty, which is definitely a plus, but also the uses for bard magic are so versatile and like, playing one specific note can do such a range of different things and it’s just so cool. Anyways yeah, Eda looked absolutely stunning in all of her close up shots this episode and it’s really not surprising at all that she has so many admirers/exes lol.

We also kind of got to see king’s dad? But he ended up getting officially adopted by Eda which makes me very happy because it just fits much better with the found family aspect of the show. It’s just so sweet how much the owl house crew cares about each other, and although we know that, it’s nice for them to show it more every once and a while.

We also got a surprising amount of development to the capabilities of abomination magic? I was not expecting that, but I’m not complaining bc abomination magic is one of my favorite types, and this episode definitely moved it up. The coven leader (I believe their name was Darius?) was very well portrayed with a really interesting character design, and oh boy were they powerful! I don’t think I realized abominations could do all of what was happening there, but it was very creative and well executed, especially when they combined themselves with the abomination as sort of a power-up thing? And also when they sent the other three BATS to the conformatorium? Idk I can’t tell if they’re like, one with the abomination (other than their hair) or if that’s just a thing abomination witches can do. Honestly it was so cool to watch even though they were working for the emperor and I was rooting against them, like just seeing the capabilities of the magic is just so interesting. It’s wild to compare to Amity’s skill set too, like I just feel like with a bit more development of her skills she’ll be an absolute beast in combat and I love that for her. Also we got to see the abomitons again, and I love the continuity of them being used by Kikimora (and Belos in hunting palismen). I also thought it was very funny when Darius (?) called Alador a hack because like, at the end of the day they’re all antagonists, but I do dislike some of them slightly less when they insult each other lol

Anyways, overall this episode, much like all the episodes of season 2 so far, was FANTASTIC! I really enjoyed it and I think this’ll definitely be one of my favorites because of how different it feels? The ending is obviously VERY scary and I’ll probably make a separate post later about that, but I’m just in all the different types of shock rn lol

Well, i accidentally deleted the original graduation character list post, so here i am making another one. Oops. And as always, if anyone has important details i should add then feel free to suggest them!

Here are all the characters introduced in episodes 1-25. Named characters only!

Also i can’t hide spoilers! So, um..... I can’t put spoilers on this one. If you need the version with spoilers try this version of the post that i made on the adventure zone subreddit but youre not missing out on much.

# -EPISODE 1- (19 characters)

Hieronymous Wiggenstaff (he/him): Head of the Hero/Villain school. at least 400 years old. wears shining blue armor with gold accents. also an elf. according to Tomas, he led the charge at the "battle of blood valley", brought the Kingdoms of Rickart and Dawnbreak to a peace treaty, and founded the school. a little boastful, a little prideful, [SPOILERS OMITTED], and overall a pretty good dude.

Higglemas Wiggenstaff (he/him): Head of the Sidekick/Henchperson annex, cranky old elf. has a dog named hero who shows no signs of anything strange at all, ever.

Gary (he/him): friendly room gargoyle. pseudo-hivemind.

Groundsy (he/him): the groundskeeper. a pretty nice fellow. don't go in his shed.

Hernandez (he/him): beautiful centaur professor of animal handling.

Jimson (he/him): human battlegrounds trainer for sidekicks/henchpeople, world famous featherweight champion, wields a staff. married to crushman.

Crushman (he/him): silver dragonborn with a sickle, and self-described beefy boy! heavyweight blood champion married to jimson. never lost a match for 8 years. full name Frostus Crushman.

Rolandus Fontaine (he/him): former prince, son of deposed king, kind of an asshole, maybe. wears a cape (important detail)

Zana (she/her): "terrifying" tiefling villain sorcerer, friend of rolandus. barkept the test tavern in ep2

Rhodes (she/her): hero ranger, friend of rolandus.

Buckminster Eden (he/him): hero guy. son of "The Iron Lord". their dad is stronger than rolandus's dad. his wiki page says rogue so i think hes a rogue? i never caught that and ive listened more times than i wish i did

Leon (he/him): softspoken buff, bald "fighter" (although i dont remember any clarification on how exactly he fights), sidekick of buckminster, around 28. anyone else keep forgetting he's bald? i keep forgetting it. >!gets sorta-drafted into becoming a falcon for higglemas and so far hasn't done much else.!<

Rainer Michelle (she/her): cheerful villainous necromancer with a floating chair. also, her name is pronounced "rainier" despite not being confirmed as such? travis ships her with fitzroy.

Tomas (he/him): human man with "kind eyes" and a good (psychic???) memory. guidance counselor.

Stewart LeBoeuf (he/him): brawny human man. serves food. there is no joke here, i promise

Mulligan (he/him): teaches potions. mentioned but doesn't appear yet. and we're like 25 episodes in. maybe we'll see him someday

Germaine, Victoria, Rattles (he/him,she/her,???/???): Skeleton crew. They live in the training room i guess, and as a result can never die, because "no one dies in the training room!" (note: someone now HAS to die in the training room). also their races are never explicitly stated but i guess they're probably human? in episode 3 travis brings up something about how many bones are in "the human body" and at this point i think i'm looking too deep into this so i'll just forget about it and you probably should too.

Riveau (he/him): halfling, blame-taking teacher.

Mimi (they/them): gnome sidekick who builds cool robot prosthetics

Bartholemus (he/him): owl aarakocra accountant teacher, known for being the best accountant in the land and having a face some might describe as "smoochable". very pro capitalist :’( hope he gets better

Ramos (she/her): goliath teacher of shieldwork. *

Dip (she/her): sidekick, half-orc twin of pip

Pip (she/her): hero, half-orc twin of dip

Festo (they/them): fairy with "beautiful gossamer wings", independent study teacher of magic, loves to party

Snippers (he/him?): Let me tell you my story about Snippers the magic crab. When Travis gave the list of animals that Griffin could choose as Fitzroy's familiar's current form, he listed crab near the start, and this gave me excitement. Now i knew that crab was pretty unlikely but god i hoped that he would choose it. When the list went on- Bat, Cat, Crab, Frog, Hawk, Lizard, Owl, Poisonous Snake, Fish, Rat, Raven, Seahorse, Spider or Weasel- I nearly lost hope. I was hoping so hard that Griffin would choose the crab, but i was ready to accept a non-crab familiar. It was just buried in that list. It wasn't the most useful animal and it was an obscure pick. And as Travis informed him that it didn't have to keep the form for the whole campaign, Griffin said those five words i wanted to hear so, so badly. "Well then it's a crab." Folks, I do not often react physically when something happens in media. But in that moment, i remember very clearly, i fist-pumped and yelled, "YES!!!!!!"

so anyway, Fitzroy has a crab.

Jackle (he/him): kenku teacher of sneakery. creepy dude. apparently knows something about argo? also his name is not spelled "jackal" for some reason. Also in later episodes theyve started calling him "The Jackle" for some reason??? *

# -EPISODE 3- (1 character)

Dakota (they/them): tavern instructor, clad in black/red leather. no race stated? probably human. *

# -EPISODE 4- (6 characters)

Gerry & Tom (she/her, he/him): shopkeepers at barns and nobles who seem to have very bad names. also constantly competing for customers? these guys got dropped faster than the heathcliff quests, which is honestly just sad.

Barb (she/her): the bartender. runs Springs Eternal in Last Hope. has a sweet seeing-eye hawk familiar.

Jaryd Reginald (he/him): owner of Reginald Ore. Wants the workers to be held responsible for the damage caused by the xorn. (fun fact: originally i wrote down "Jerrod" because i wanted it to sound like a fantasy name, then realized it was probably "Jared" because theyre named after listeners, but i was pleased to find it confirmed that it's actually "Jaryd")

Candice (she/her): A Miner. thought those werent allowed in bars but, i guess not. Wants the mine owner to be held responsible for the xorn's damage.

Jade Johnson Esq. (she/her): lawyer.

# -EPISODE 5- (1 character)

Xorn: a big hungry gem eating guy from the plane of earth Low-Down Deep with 3 arms and 3 legs. why did travis just say "multi-armed" instead of specifying it was 3? who knows! Anyway it leaves

# -EPISODE 6- (3 characters)

Osric (he/him): the man, the myth, the bursar. finally shows up after being mentioned in episodes 2 and 4. he's an elf.

breeze through the willows (she/her): Pegasus attacked by demons, lost her parents. introduced in ep1 but gets a name here so fuck it. also in ep>!16!< we find out shes a "white arabian pegasus" and i dont think thats a spoiler bc we shouldve really known it from the beginning

Sabor (he/him): Librarian/research teacher. also a TORTLE. Really good at recalling stuff, i guess. kinda reminds me of Tomas's memory thing but i'm sure that's just a coincidence... *

Eeiïäá#æ&éñn (pronounced like "Ian") (he/him?): an imp but without a shitty voice. also happens to not be violent. what a coincidence?

Terence (he/him): a chain devil with a real demonic name. minor boss of the imps. very convincing and very threatening. has the frightening ability to make you zone out during his fight

Althea Song (she/her): elf with autumn-orange hair. representative from heroic oversight guild. i'd like to personally thank travis for spelling her name out.

Crabtree (she/her): Artificing teacher. Long gray hair with a long grey beard. no mentioned race, one might guess dwarf but that would be an assumption i suppose. also unbroken chain member, presumably the dwarf argo didn't recognize in episode 7.

Marie (she/her): Grey-haired elf woman. She's the school's physician, i guess. Member of the unbroken chain.

Dendra Maplecourt (she/her): Fitzroy's mom. Has hot mint gum, i guess. She was mentioned earlier but i wasn't convinced she was a real person until this episode

Cool Gary (he/him): AYY ITS ME GARYR

Kale (???/???): Head of the Placement Department, in charge of real world assignments. First mentioned in Ep4 but i missed that the last few times bc it is so brief. Gives exposition about missions i guess????? is that the only reason this chara cter exists

satyr thief (unnamed) (he/him): tries to rob thundermen, dies instantly

Ogre (he/him): teamed up with the satyr. his name is ogre.

Moon (he/him): A Sidekick. small pale sullen guy. no mentioned race. Why is there another FUCKING sidekick WE HAD ENOUGH hhhyuuuuuu

Deanna (she/her): A bigoted centaur with an obnoxious voice. Malwin the Strong's second in command.

Malwin the Strong (she/her): Leader of the centaurs of the scarlet woods. Wants to appease the spirit of the scarlet woods so that thecentaurs of the scarlet woods will be protected in the scarlet woods. Had a relationship with Arturas in the past but their clashes are currently known to get pretty heated.

Arturas (he/him): Leader of the Centaurs of the Valley, i guess. Had a relationship with Malwin. Centaur. Did i mention centaur? i cant think of anything else about this character

Calhain (he/him): Human wizard, Malwin's magical advisor. Kind of an amateur wizard in a job high above his skill level. Graduated Wigginstaff's as a hero.

As "Fauxronimous", he has skin the *color and pattern of* (but not necessarily made of) slate splashed with liquid, pointed ears, sharp teeth, shining eyes, horns of unspecified shape. 12 fucking feet tall. wonder if the slate-looking skin is related to garys. plot twist detected? Also i recently looked at the episode descriptions and found out his name is spelled "Gray", but really does it truly matter?

Shabree Keene (she/her): Argo's mom, killed on the Mariah, possibly by the Commodore. Long auburn hair, green eyes. Mentioned earlier but described here, so fuck it.

Who knows! maybe it just doesnt matter.

The Lich King aka Gordy (he/him): Rainer's dad. Commands armies of the undead. lives in The Crypt. described as a hooded, skull-faced man with intricate black lines on his face, but changes to a shaved-head man with dark skin and vetiligo. Abandoned as a babby, raised by traveling parents, had necromancy powers, took Rainier in. Not actually very scary at all i don't know why he did the creepy laugh. Kind of a warm fatherly figure actually. hm. also people are speculating Gordy might be short for Gordita and his parents are maybe supposed to be lup and barry but THAT S JUST A THEORY.

our firbolg's father (he/him): A firbolg who lived by the code and was there when our firbolg was banished. Came to respect our firbolg's interest in a new way of life, in his final moments.

TOTAL: 72 NPCS! (well, including 2 extra PCs, i guess.)

Average: 2.88 NPCs per episode.

i was gonna not include the bone-PCs and have it be 69 but our firbolg's dad was just too important to not respect with a spot on the list.

magnus is this notorious pirate famous in the caribbean with everyone talking about him because of how successful he is. his quartermaster is definitely raphael (his care for his clan and how he cares for others solidifies this thought process) and their ship has some corny name that raphael pretends to hate but definitely loves. europe thinks that magnus and his crew are demons(racists fucks) meanwhile theyre out here being nerds who enjoys navigating the seas and ruining racists job prospects+

+cat and ragnor live on nassau with magnus bringing back supplies they sell(we love the blackmarket here). the lightwoods are brought into this world bc their parents send them off to nassau to try and expand the family's business and gain profit off of this lawless place which refuses to be governed by anyone. malec meets at like the local inn where maia works at also where izzy meets her and by association The Polycule)and is just attracted to each other right then and there with bad flirting. once they become settled in, alec and izzy becomes like disillusioned with following what their parents expect of them and start to actually do what they wish. because he's dramatic, alec probably asks ragnor who settled down from pirating for more lessons in sword fighting (hes not unexperienced but theres a difference from fighting on land and on water)

eventually magnus hears about this cue them dramatically learning how to fight on like this cliff top with their swords connecting (we love euphemisms for sex) and them bonding over magnus' book collection he has and them no longer doing what their parents expect of them (im imagining asmodeus as this well traveled trader or something who only cares about money rather than having humanity) and even though magnus is this pirate which is a profession that the "civilized world" looks down on, he's like the epitome of actually having morals and caring about people (pirates were known to drastically impact the slave trade as they often freed slaves and let them join their crew or they worked directly with maroons and indigenous people).

i imagine their first kiss to be when theyre training and someone has a sword pressed against the others neck because theyre horny bastards and they accept only the dramatics. their proposal/matelot is potc levels of dramatic with them fighting an enemy crew alongside The Polycule(the most badass and queer crew out there) and like halfway through alec is just like marry me and then next thing they know it raphael is officiating their marriage around dead people before they go on to have a better and more planned out wedding on shore (had to get some of this out now before i went too deep, The Poycule is definitely something i paid attention to most considering how big and complex the group is)

ugh not to add to an already huge post but

you are totally right about raphael being his quartermaster! raphael is a great leader and he cares so much for his people and he is one of the few people magnus obviously trusts, even as they have their differences. only other person i could imagine as magnus' quartermaster would be cat but like! raphael is perfect for the job! also i love the idea that he pretends to hate the corny name, he has to pretend to hate magnus' puns and jokes on principle but really he loves it

also "meanwhile they are all nerds" accurate, the whole ship is just a whole mess of people having fun and being family we love that for them

and ok not to slut for the polycule but i'm slutting for the polycule i just. aaa want to know so much more about them. i know you said they were already with maia but idk i can see many of them being part of magnus' crew? especially meliorn and tbh clary lmao she seems the type who would love adventure like that (i'm going with fanon clary here mostly) and i can see simon in both but i can also definitely see simon being in the inn with maia (god i have a half baked au that includes that) because being in the sea all day? no thank you. and they are just this nice local couple that helps all the pirates because fuck the racist law

also it's hilarious because they are so warm and welcoming and the lightwoods get there and simon is like "oh-oh. incoming" and maia is all like "what the fUCK do you want"

which lowkey backfires because izzy is just like "oh she's so fierce, i love her" and is already like, halfway in love doing the head tilt and huge grin thing (she's not creepy about it, just like, she likes it, you know? especially because in this AU izzy was raised as a Rich Girl so she's expected to be all that fragile useless white woman ideal and yada yada and she's not here for that so she's attracted to the idea of women like clary and maia)

and just like ghhgggghhh not to slut but i love the idea that they are in the inn and meliorn raphael and possibly clary are always in the sea so like! sweet reunions! not that they are usually going super far lmao mostly just stopping the slave trade and protecting the caribbean and shit, but that's a few months in between visits and i picture that at some point when they are getting to nassau raphael is just like, vibrating (you know, as much as he allows himself to) and magnus just smiles knowingly, happy that his boy has found people he's so happy with

and raphael getting into the inn and being like "simon! maia!" and simon and maia being like "raphael! meliorn!" and just crashing into this big group hug and it's all laughs and meliorn twirls maia and she giggles and simon kisses raphael's cheek and is all worried about them both (plus clary) because god what the fuck kind of shit did they get into this time, are they hurt? if he's broken another leg he's gonna- and raphael laughs and says "no, cariño, i promise all i have with me are gifts" because he's not gonna travel the caribbean and not bring stuff for his partners. so it's him and meliorn showering maia and simon in gifts and pretty and maybe stolen things (maia in particular takes such great joy in learning that her pretty new bracelet belonged to some racist bitch) like spoils you know? lmao, and looking at them it's like they haven't seen each other in years or something but no it's been like a month and it's always like that

and alec and izzy are just watching that, mouths slack, shocked, but highkey yearning for something as free as that, that loving family and that open love and meliorn's genderfuckery and just everything about them! and alec "conceal don't feel" lightwood is kind of frowning and goes "are they always like that?" to which magnus, behind him, answers "yes" and then he turns around and they stare at each other and magnus quickly goes from "happy for my boys" to "hello tall person" in a matter of seconds and is suddenly all seductive and flirty and alec is having the time of his life? especially since here away from the lightwoods he can allow himself just a little bit, and letting a guy flirt with him can't hurt, right? he knows izzy won't tell their parents. so he engages

cue terribly bad flirting, izzy smiling widely as she watches the polycule dynamics, highkey wanting something like that for herself, especially seeing the way that clary talks to maia all like "look at this SWORD" and all the adventures. and maia still doesn't trust her but apparently magnus has already hit it off with her brother so what the hell, they might as well stay

and just!! yes getting to know each other shenanigans. i picture that like the army gets there and tries to get magnus and his crew and alec and izzy are like running to them to warn them (alec not knowing quite why, he shouldn't be taking that big of a risk, he shouldn't be getting attached to a pirate - of whom he's only heard terrible things so far, thinks they are Evil basically - just because something about him is alluring and represents the freedom he doesn't allow himself to want, but... he is getting attached) and the whole gang is all like *very calmly heading to the secret hideout in their room* oh don't worry about that lmao they do this every week

and idk i just want a moment where they are almost found and alec and izzy lowkey save their ass (i mean they would have managed but they make it easier, maybe use the Privilege Card lmao). maybe the guards were closer than they thought so alec ends up just shoving magnus into the hideout and when the guards come in he's all like "WHO is interrupting our sleep" and acts like an entitled brat and they don't even search the room lmao and then alec runs to the hideout all "sorry that i pushed you, are you okay?" and magnus is all like "i'm fine" but a little touched about the care. just to establish that trust, you know? both between them and between izzy and the rest of the polycule

so after that it all kind of flows smoothly because they know they can genuinely trust the lightwoods and so it grows into something more. magnus and alec can bond over having Terrible Parents With Terrible Morals and they open up about their respective traumas with abuse, and alec confesses to magnus for the first time ever that he doesn't want to be like his parents, that he thought if maybe he earned their respect, he could change things from the inside. and magnus looks at him all soft and touched and is like "there's no changing things from the inside" and alec is like "i'm starting to realize that" you know

and yeah alec gets to see how much that crew cares for each other, way more than his "traditional family" ever could (except for him and izzy who are just as devoted to each other as the crew is, but like, it's honestly less the "blood relations" and more how they've always been there for each other as they handled their parents' shittiness) and again he's just yearning because he always believed he wouldn't get something like that. and magnus in particular is just so caring and just wants to make the world a better place, you know? and he admires that and they bond over that, too

and just jdhdaodshad god i love this. and meanwhile izzy is flirting with maia clary and meliorn like crazy and soon they are like this huge messy group with all those dynamics... and i just aaa and alec and izzy end up joining the crew and daiodsaiodjsaio RAPHAEL OFFICIATING THEIR WEDDING i'm genuinely all for that fucking shit, magnus wants his boy to do it for them and aaaaa! also i DEMAND raphael&meliorn fighting sequences because i bet they would make a bomb ass duo fighting back to back and shit, you know? bonus points if they are defending simon and maia who are behind them and just making sure no one touches them?? i live for this shit

in short i love this and you said “get some out of your chest" so if there's more, then fuck, i can't wait to see it dahsdaijas i'm sorry for talking so much i get too excited

So let's talk about that 80-page neopets fanfic i wrote when i was like 14

so I posted about this a while ago but people to my surprise showed genuine interest in this thing. alas, the fanfic has been lost to time, i still have the file but it's damaged and I can't seem to restore it. Also, the entire thing was in dutch bc i no spoke english very well at the time. but i do remember a lot of the details, so i decided to post about this here to recall this embarrassing product of my imagination.

the plot: a found family consisting of a bunch of assholes tries to find jelly world and is then sent on a quest by the leader of jelly world to find a bunch of magical crystal shards spread across neopia. Reunite the shards, jelly world will be brought back to the main dimension in neopia.

the key players:

tama: oc, orange kougra. Prissy and extremely girly-girl type rich kid who was raised on krawk island being very spoiled by her governor parents or whatever. current chosen one that can open the gate to jelly world.

number twelve: oc, green lupe. number five's younger brother (by a lot of years). I never thought up a proper name for him so he is just number twelve.

sinsi: canon, brown ixi. she never really served a point but she liked to hang out with clop and play cellblock with him. idk i just thought her design was cute so i shoved her in.

shari: oc, blue wocky. basically the no1 fan of the prisoners with an enormous ego and amount of self confidence. she could change colors at will like a chameleon because she was a mary sue and i didn't fully understand the concept of paint brushes back then.

zeetin: someone else's neopet i was allowed to use, halloween kougra. Just the bad boy love interest for tama. shari's adoptive brother but after he and tama started dating they drifted apart.

the prisoners except the yellow knight because i thought he was boring: canon. Consisting of: clop (mute darigan moehog), barallus (unhinged korbat), meekel (shy and fearful blue kacheek) and number five (twelve's older brother, previous chosen one that could open the dimensional rift to jelly world).

shinwa: oc, fairy jelly acara because she's Special. basically the last leader of jelly world before the downfall. She sends everyone on a quest and appears in dream visions idk she's magic. her name means legend in japanese because i'm a genious /s

galgarrath and haskol: canon, grarrl and skeith. minibosses that chased the Crew to add some peril to the story because otherwise it would've been boring as tar

other bits about the story i recall:

running gags included disliking the faerie aesthetic and purple stuff in general. there was also a weird amount of alcoholic cider involved.

so the whole reason jelly world was cast into another dimension was because of some nondescript skeith wizard who was jealous of their prosperity cursed the land by shattering the magical crystal powering it idk. shinwa, having magical abilities herself, had the power to select a new chosen one that could open the rift and thus possibly restore JW every sixty years or so. 5 was the last one and succeeded in going there, but failed to restore the crystal and was promptly locked away in the dungeons of the darigan citadel. Tama, being the next, was our main Chosen One for the story. She was the main character i guess but i hated writing her pov a whole lot because she's so unlike me in every way.

The Crew(trademark) consisted of tama, shari, zeetin, sinsi, 12 and the (ex-)prisoners sans YK and yes they did succeed in finding JW.

oh yeah btw the prisoners broke out during some kind of plot convenience it was never properly explained nor was it ever established why the yellow knight wasn't there. Meekel also bailed on the quest for JW pretty soon when he figured out haskol and galgarrath were after them (to retrieve the prisoners because it pissed vex off that nobody would play his game anymore now).

Forced Hetero Romance(trademark) between Zeetin and Tama which I also hated writing

Shari had like 4 near-death experiences but kept getting into trouble either way because she's Stupid

the most compelling thing in the entire story was honestly the relationship beteen Shari and zeetin.

some of the official neopets canon was obviously thrown out the window because I didn't know everything (still don't) and also the canon in and of itself is wobbly to begin with.

one thing i established in my canon was that uni's didn't fly gracefully like pegasi, but rather had their wings move very fast like insects because they're so damn small and they're pretty hefty creatures. Clop also flew this way due to his similar wings-to-body ratio.

strangely enough, zeetin, who did have wings that were more proportional to his body, couldn't fly

Clop spoke in CTL: clop tapping language. 5 and meekel were his interpreters.

twelve had no personality to speak of seriously he was only there to prompt tama to go on her quest and run away from her dull life

the story ended at about 80 pages in when i lost my neopets hyperfocus and just kinda gave up. at this point in the story they had just gotten to JW for the first time, met shinwa, and been sent on their quest to look up the shards and restore the crystal to bring JW back into existence in neopia.

From here on the plan for me was for the Crew to split up and go across different parts of neopia to retrieve the crystals. would they end up restoring it? I have no fucking clue man i never got that far. i know that zeetinxtama was endgame, though his relationship with shari would be mended as well. think up your own ending if you will idc

You get some of my SWtOR girls; two of them things I’ve been sitting on for a while, and then the new blueberry Jedi, Endrali

So, the first two are semi-related and I’m just gonna sorta do them together. Vica(Jedi Consular) and Khii(Smuggler) both made the opposite choice from what people might expect given their classes and backgrounds when presented the option of Odessen joining the Republic at the end of Onslaught. Vica stayed independent, and Khii joined. (I may have mentioned one or both of those in passing before, but I need to ramble about motivation and that decision as part of their character arcs.)

🖊 That was a really great character moment for Vica. Honestly, the only thing that was on par or bigger was when she started pursuing a relationship with Theron, and I feel like it’s an even bigger deal for her than completing Echoes will be. See, she’s always been the quintessential Perfect Jedi. Humble, kind, self-sacrificing to a literal fault, follows all the rules bc they must be there for a reason.Helpful, sweet, serene, etc etc. She was actually a perfect fit to be my first run through the Consular story, and my “no DS points” toon. The Jedi were her life. She was found to be Force Sensitive at a very young age and whisked away from her parents early enough she doesn’t even truly remember them (doesn’t even know she has a younger sister *cough* Bry *cough* until after founding the Alliance >.>). So she, of course, happily did the self-sacrificing thing to save all the Masters in Act 1. It was her duty; a Jedi’s life is sacrifice, she’s the only one who can do this, she can Save Everyone, no matter what it cost her(sidenote: I really wish they would do something mechanic-wise for the whole “you getting weaker” thing as you shield people). Her views start shifting in Act 2, when she gets to Balmorra, for two reasons:

her massive crush on Tai Cordan that has her questioning the whole “no falling in love” thing even as she tries to ignore her feelings into nonexistence, despite the fact he’s idealistic and kind and driven and a whole host of good, attractive things and she can’t. stop. THINKING about him. It doesn’t go anywhere since BioWare won’t let you flir- I mean, since they both have Responsibilities and she’s trying to be a Good Jedi, which means no attachments like that.

Zenith. The two of them become extremely good friends, even if they seem like polar opposites, and he challenges a lot of the stuff the Jedi spent roughly twenty years drumming into her head, really makes her think about and defend what she believes and why. Some things she’s not budging on; like showing mercy and giving second chances, so they butt heads sometimes still, but they’re unflinchingly loyal to each other and 100% trust each other to watch their backs. (Zenith saying he trusted her felt as much like a victory as completing a romance) He’s the one who really made her start wondering if there was a way to balance her own needs and desires with serving the needs and desires of the Republic and Jedi Council and the Rift Alliance.

She spent the rest of the base game working things out for herself, which means she missed Iresso’s romance, and honestly still feels conflicted about being “selfish” all the way up until the Shadow of Revan prelude stuff, where she meets Theron and goes “OhNO” bc if she thought her crush on Tai was bad, the way her heart sticks in her throat and her words get all jumbled up now are so much worse. And she decides to be selfish for once in her life and thus Theron is the first time she lets herself want something(someone) and actually pursue it, instead of burying the feelings until they go away. (There’s a reason the traitor arc hits much, much harder for her than it did Jaaide, and this is a big part of it)

She finds it a.... tricky but worthwhile balancing act--even if she is a terribly inexperienced flirt, sorry, Theron--to show interest in someone and still mostly be a Good Jedi.But it works. And it makes her happy and the galaxy doesn’t come to a screeching halt, so it’s okay, right?

Over the following years(at least, the ones she’s not frozen in carbonite thanks, Arcann), she also develops her skills at being a leader, not just a diplomat or Jedi, actually a leader. She gets the hang of making decisions not based solely on what the Jedi Code or teachings say, because sometimes they don’t help(sometimes they make things worse), how to run something like the Alliance where everyone is looking to her. And sure, Theron and Lana are a big help and do their share of the work(and then some, on occasion), but she is the Leader. The Commander. And she is proud, in the proud-parent sense, of what they build, and what they endure. And much as being a Jedi still means to her, when given the chance to rejoin the Order and tie Odessen to the Republic she served for so long, she finds she likes the idea of being an independent ally more. She likes being her own person, just with Jedi values as part of her moral code. She likes having that independence and not having to abide by rules and decisions she didn’t help make. (she likes waking up next to her husband every morning, his fingers running over her tattoos, as both of them wonder how they got so kriffing lucky) It was definitely a defining character moment for her that she said no to the Chancellor’s offer. I was honestly sort of proud of her; she was my fourth toon through Onslaught and I thought she’d want to rejoin. But she went “Nah, that’s not me anymore” and it made my day. (nothing against the Jedi or the Republic; I just love it when my characters develop and grow and do unexpected things)

🖊 And Khii. Khii was the opposite; she grew up on Nar Shadda, with no parents after age six. She doesn’t even know if they abandoned her or were killed or what; just that they left one day and never came back. So she got thrown into the life of a street orphan and had to take care of herself. No family, no home, no knowing who she could trust. Not daring to get attached to anyone bc you never knew when a gangster would decide you looked at them funny, or someone would OD or a slaver would come though... there was a long list of ways to lose friends. Better not to have any to start with. Over the course of the base game, the Republic started to feel like a home. An imperfect one, sure, but better than where she came from. And she got attached. Her crew is her family, Bowdaar is her wing Wookiee, and she’s actually pretty happy with the privateer gig. Girl does what she has to to survive, and a steady paycheck from one of the biggest powers in the galaxy is a pretty solid way to do that. (Darmas and Dodonna’s betrayal really stung for her. She’s my only Smug so far who actually killed Darmas bc she was so darn pissed at him. Also, she never liked him. Wanted to shoot him any time he hit on her.). So, of course, much as the Alliance also feels like a home and a family by this point, she really liked the sense of belonging she had as a Republic Privateer and she likes the idea of funding help, so she was saying “sign me up” almost before Chancellor Rans finished talking.

🖊 For Endrali, since she’s only just landed on Coruscant, we’re going with pregame backstory. SO. She’s a child of the Sabosen family (Sabosen’dra’listral for her full name), who are responsible for social aspects like justice and education among the Ascendency in Legends canon. Given the Chiss views on the Force, it was something of a problem for her family when two year old Endrali started making her toys float just by wiggling her fingers. Her parents are both highly placed in their fields, and having a Force sensitive child would be damaging to an extent they weren’t sure they could weather. They managed to hide her away with excuses about being a sickly child until she was four. At that point, her powers were strong enough they couldn’t hide her anymore, and whispers and rumors were starting as to what could be wrong with this child that no one had seen her in two years, and they knew they’d have to give a more satisfactory answer soon.

Her father was.... acquainted with a trader who occasionally visited the fringes of Chiss space, but was not Chiss himself. He happened to come through as they were deciding their course of action, and so Endrali’s parents gave her to this trader, told him to find her a home somewhere outside Chiss space, and paid him handsomely for the trouble. They told any who inquired that Endrali had succumbed to her illness and they were devastated by the loss of their child(which they were; they did love her, they just knew if she stayed it would be death or exile for her and shame for them).

The trader actually kept his word. His first stop was Coruscant, where a Jedi sensed how strong Endrali is with the Force and persuaded the trader to let her take this little Chiss girl for Jedi training. It fulfilled his goal, and Jedi are trustworthy, so the trader agreed rather easily. Now, I almost immediately hit a point of contention w this, because honestly all of them are pretty silly, and that doesn't translate to a few of the RFA members, but I'm gonna do my best, and some of this will come not just from achievement hunter irl but from FAHC lore and shit bc my fahc obsession will never, ever die.

Seven:

My immediate thought was Gavin. Gavin is incredibly smart, we all know that right? But he's goofy, and foolish and terrible at video games and he has a reputation among AH fans for being a bit of a dumbass. I, Robots "you're the dumbest smart person I've ever met" line comes to mind. Can yall see why I thought he was a good match for Seven? Seven jokes around a lot, much like Gavin, and can seem dumb sometimes because of it (Ellys hands. Ellys paws. Ellys hand paws.) but at the end of the day? He's super smart, and we shouldn't underestimate him. Not to mention, in FAHC lore, Gavin is often our hacker. So, you know. BUT he also reminds me a lot of Michael. If you've seen my mysme vine comp, you'll know I have an AH vine in there featuring Michael, and it's labelled as something Seven would do. This is the man who ate 10 McRibs in one sandwich and drank a bottle of barbecue sauce for a bet more than once. Remember milk yard? or the fucking waterboarding video?? Michael is unstoppable and mildly terrifying and just as goofy as Gavin, and yeah, that reminds me of Seven. Seven is just Team Nice Dynamite in one person.

Yoosung:

I've gotta go for Lindsay here. Find me an AH fan (who isn't an asshole) who wouldn't do anything to protect Mrs Jones. She's an angel, a cinnamon roll, too good for this world. She's also badass as fuck. Remember Lindsay Wins, where she went from "light it up motherfucker now your mother is me!" to "thanks guys, bye!" in like 2 seconds? She's an ANGEL but she'll fuck you up. Yoosung is underestimated a lot but honestly? Give him a chance and he'll do some damage. But he's also a cinnamon roll. I love him.

Jumin:

I struggled a little with this one, and you can probably tell why. All the AH crew are funny and goofy and on the surface that just doesn't translate to Jumin all that well. Except yeah it totally fucking does, if you try to understand him. He's Mr cold hearted but if you pay attention to him and learn how he jokes, you pick up a joke from him pretty often. For that reason, I gotta go with Jack. A lot of people say Jack isn't funny, and I have to disagree. I find Jack hilarious, but sometimes you have to understand him to get his jokes. I've been watching AH videos since their first minecraft let's play, which was almost 8 years ago (May 12 2012 yes I know that off the top of my head) and he's great. You just gotta understand him.

Your initial thought would be Ryan, right? Our ex model who did theatre in college? Nah. Jeremy. He's pretty (fight me), lyrically talented (AH musical, guys) and honestly a fan favourite. Everybody loves Jeremy! He's also our workout king. He's nowhere near as vain as Zen, but Zen has good reason so we're letting that slide. Obviously there's the whole cat issue but like. fucking fight me.

Going for the obvious here: Geoff. Sometimes absent leader who most of the fans adore, and who has some serious (though often well hidden) self esteem issues (DID YOU SEE THAT HAUNTER EPISODE? IT BROKE ME YALL IT BROKE ME)? Geoff. He's also pretty good at dealing with issues among other members, and I like to imagine V sometimes does that thing where he sits there looking like an exhausted dad while other members fight. He's just. He's Geoff, guys.

Saeran:

Please tell me you knew where I was going with this. He's Ryan!!! Of course he's Ryan! Ryan the computer guy. And of course, THIS is where my FAHC lore comes in. Ryan, who's sweet and funny and gets on really well with the crew. Ryan, who at the drop of the hat becomes the Vagabond, a silent and sadistic killer who you do NOT want to mess with. Ryan, who can laugh and joke like the next guy, who seems sweet and innocent at first but harbours a dark secret. Ryan, who's just as good at hacking as Gavin, if not better. Whose family hasnt heard from him since he joined the crew, who's both notorious and invisible in Los Santos. And on the IRL side of things, we all know Ryan is a big softie with a heart of gold. Saeran is too. He’s absolutely Ryan. I knew it the second I read this ask. You probably knew it the second you sent it. Of course he's Ryan. Who else could he be? (This wasn't influenced by the fact that Ryan and Saeran are my respective favourites at all)

mainly I know 2003, 2012, and Rise - well, at least, they’re my favourites and have the most distinct characterisation tbh bc they’re long-running series - SO I’ll do those guys :DD

THIS GOT LONG (because of course it did, I’ve never made a short post in my LIFE) SO FIRST:

the main difference in fic would be tone!!!!!!!! The turtles are all really affected by the shows they come from so there’d be big differences in how they react to the new situation. Combining OP and 2018, they’re both such loud and bright shows that writing them sad would be kinda….disatisfactory to a reader. 2012 is the one where you could get kinda dark, and go down the genetic experiment and “oh wow these kids need a therapist” and Luffy being >:T wtf why are your lives so Fucked Up route, and 2003 would be hilariously awkward because they’re technically all in the same age range but they act so different wheezes

Probably the most responsible on this list, they’re like??? tbh, barely teenagers?? Or at the very least, 18 or 19, and they can be air-heads but 2003 goes feet-first into the whole plot and character and Everything Happens. I mean, literally in season one there’s this whole subplot about how you define monsters and genetic testing and Wild shit like that so they feel Way more adult than the Strawhats get at times. Even though One Piece covers some dark topics it….the characters - the strawhats, in particular, is what I mean - don’t feel like adults the same way the 2003 turtles do. 2003 also doesn’t feel as dark as 2012 gets sometimes, but I feel 2012 is also because they seem really young, and in 2003 at least they get to process their trauma. 2012…..kinda beats them up a lot akhsdg pft.

Sticking them with the Strawhats would be !! Honestly really funny? I feel Mikey would get along with them really well - in every iteration he’s very good at going with the flow, and hey, pirates? and they’re nice? and cool powers? - he’d have the time of his life. Donnie would try and figure out What Was Going On (as the resident “please fix this in case it’s dangerous” guy, that’s probably what his role would Often be) but I can see him being easily distracted by Franky and the whole devil fruits thing. GOD him and Franky is a thought and a half omfg. The level of tech in One Piece is so different when compared to the modern world, and it operates on rules but like, rules that are just ever so slightly different.

Raph would be in debt Immediately. Mainly bc Nami’s manipulative like that but also because he’s just………..Like That. He’d be rude and insulting and if the strawhats were helping them out he’d be the team’s voice of reason. Or, distrust, I suppose. The one who hangs back, who’s prickly, who’s the last to offer his trust because his family needs him to be uncompromised, just in case. I think he and Zoro would clash for a bit, not like, in words but just in gestures, until the crew + turtles had been through their adventures, and gotten to the end of Whatever fic was being written, and then they’d be friends. Not best buds but like, healthy respect for each other.

Leo……….absolutely does Not understand why Luffy is leader. It’s like making Mikey the boss; it doesn’t make sense to him, because Luffy is too trusting and he’s strong but strength doesn’t make a good leader, and in 2003 Leo’s kind of a pushover so he’d stay on the sidelines and watch with Raph. But, as everyone knows, Luffy’s magnetism is Pretty Hard To Deny, and the crew’s respect for him does a lot to show to Leo that he may be missing something but that he doesn’t have to understand.

2012

I always……..feel so bad for TMNT2012 //weeps They’re just kids and they get put through so much like wow I’m only at season two but from spoilers there’s like?? their dad keeps DYING and being bought back to life???/ THAT’S GOTTA FUCK YOU UP!!! Plus all of them have all these different insecurities and they’re kinda mean to each other (Raph….has only given a proper apology for being a dick once so far, and I’m like. mid-way through season two. I’m sorry if this makes me mikey kin @@zali but pLEASE I cannot stand this LET THEM BE NICE TO EACH OTHER ;A; Like they’re still obviously a family but gosh they’re– so prickly)

Honestly depending on how the Strawhats meet them, like holy shit :o they might be Enemies. In 2003 I feel like they’ve been through enough to try and de-escalate a situation first, but 2012 are so Paranoid that unless they had April with them they’d be like WELP this is another mind-control alternate dimension thing, time to ninja vanish. And sure, after they ended up on whatever quest they needed to go on, Luffy would be fascinated by them (2012 definitely pushes the limits of what you can Actually do, in terms of hiding and shit, but I think that makes it fun !!) but I feel the turtles would be pretty paranoid at first. Mikey & Donnie would be the first two to be dragged out of their shells (snickers) because Donnie would be super curious (and also…probably kinda aggravated and confused) about how the one piece world rules work, and Mikey because…friends!! They already have a reindeer mutant on the crew, they’re obviously cool with mutants :D

akhsdg okay I mention that 2003 would hang back and assess Luffy’s leadership still but like 2012 would be such a dick. He never seems to learn the lesson that people have different strengths and different ways of doing things >:T and watching Luffy lead would drive him crazy. I bet he’d try and make plans and be all structured and in control and Luffy would wreck things and/or the strawhats would be like “lol no lmao, you’re not the captain”. Even if he did have a good plan, like….the Strawhats rarely follow plans if Luffy says they’re doing something different snickers. I feel a major part of this could just a nice subplot line of Leo learning to Chill and also like………give the 2012 a fun adventure I’m begging you sobs. Do a Long Long Island filler arc or smth, where it’s dumb and silly and barely dangerous because they’re all competent af.

Also: Mikey constantly trying to find a devil fruit because “dudes, it’s probably not gonna apply when we go back home and think about how SICK superpowers would be!!!!!!!!”

He does not get one, to his disappointment.

2018

These guys are IDIOTS and would fit in with Luffy’s brand of chaos p e r f e c t l y

Okay so yeeeeah I’m probably biased because I think Rise may be my favourite (the family dynamics!! the character designs!! the animation!!! the stupid jokes!!! the sudden flashes of deeper plot!!!!!!!!) BUT. No-one can argue with me that Rise turtles are chaotic as fuck and they’d have the time of their LIVES with Luffy’s crew. Raph would fall in love with Chopper (Chopper would be terrified of him, continuing the terribly sad trend of Raph being Bad With Animals), Donnie would go wild glitter-eyed over the devil fruits and technology and immediately try and do a million mad scientist experiments (and look. SMILES are fucked up. But this boii would totally try and make one/figure out how they worked). He’s….a mad genius and maybe a little bit evil.

Leo would either drive Sanji crazy or be INSTANTLY adopted and taught how to be “cool”, but I can also see Sanji and Zoro lowkey fighting over him SNICKERS. Because Leo has a sword so he’s obviously Zoro’s, but he’s suave and likes fashion so he MUST be Sanji’s, and it’s not an argument persay, until Leo says he thinks both of them are cool and then it’s a battle to the death.

(The end of leo’s sentence was “not as cool as me tho ;P” only they didn’t notice that bit.)

April would absolutely fall in love with Robin. And also Nami?? But I feel mainly Robin like Oh Man Robin is so cool and both of them are hypercompetent??? April’s like teach me how to be a badass assassin and Robin smiles and laughs and absolutely does.

Mikey’s so loud that he almost terrifies Usopp, and terrifying Usopp is kinda a no-no in Luffy’s book, but he likes these guys and Mikey’s just excited to have an artist friend and so both of them bounce around the ship like ping pong balls.

There is………yeah. A lot of paint covering the Sunny after they’re through. I can’t decide if Franky would cry or laugh but I know one (1) single drop of paint got on Nami’s tangerines and she Banished them. Rise turtles probably have a really good time and the crew figures out they’re basically children really quick and make sure nothing bad happens to them. Leo promises to try and get better at portal-making so they can come visit New York sometime, and everyone is like “what the fuck is new york??” at the same time as Donnie says HEY WAIT, I THINK WE’RE ON AN ALTERNATE DIMENSION and they get teleported home :DD

Wolf 359 Classpects, pt. 1

Soooo, while I was still busy with the last few weeks of my summer internship, I did keep thinking about classpecting the Wolf 359 cast. Possibly too much, because it wouldn't leave me alone until I'd solved my own God Tier riddle. Unfortunately, it got really long in the solving because I have many Thoughts and want to share all of them, always, so uh, a complete Classpect Analysis of Wolf 359 will be in parts? This first one covers Eiffel's, Hera's, Lovelace's and Minkowski's aspects.

DOUG EIFFEL: An utter no-brainer; ya boi Dougie Fresh is a Breath player if I ever saw one. For Chrissakes, he's the communications officer, and the first one to start complaining about the monotony of being stuck in a deep space sardine can. Breath is associated with communication, freedom, openness, and change - "free as the breeze", you might think of it, but that also leads to Breath players having trouble pinning themselves down to anything. They get skittish if they feel pinned down, and frustrated when stuck in place. Doug's noncommittal aloofness, the way he's off in his own little world (partially to hide from the fact he really does not like himself very much at all), and the way he's incorporated media into his self-perception all match pretty well with John and the Nitrams. But at the same time, he's the one playing mediator even as early as The Sound And The Fury. Being largely outside of the War Industrial Complex the other characters are so familiar with and thus mostly free from its dogmatic worldview of hierarchy and order, he's becomes the One Sane Man when he's the one to shout "what is WRONG with you people?" when "murder" shows up in the top 3 potential solutions to a problem, and he has no hesitation in saying what's on his mind. And it's not all complaints and bad ideas, either; he's got whole speeches telling the others how amazing he thinks they are and how in awe he is of their skills. A key catalyst in the plot of Wolf 359 is the reaching effects of his radio broadcasts. Also, there's something hilarious to the fact that for the aspect associated with communication, Doug *literally* cannot lie to save his life. I kept my ears open for the infamous Breath Hex on my second listen - that is, the strange little way in which things Breath players say tend to come to pass in reality. Cigarette Candy is basically 20 straight minutes of the Decima virus being Breath Hexed into existence, and he guessed Lovelace's situation in one - "Maybe she's a clone, or like a *really* good robot replica."

HERA: Another easy one. Although Hera is resistant to splintering as we've come to recognize it, Heart players are nothing if not determined to be an individual. They have a firm idea of themselves as a person and defend it fiercely, including compartmentalizing away pieces that don't fit their self-image. Maybe less actively putting them down like Jade Harley did to Jadesprite (the manifestation of the negative feelings she repressed out of fear they'd make her less useful) - that would mean attacking or denying a part of themselves - and more... "why yes, I put this part of myself in this box, and I may look at the box on occasion, the box definitely exists, but I don't go near the box and I definitely do not touch or open or interact with the box. And then one day, I will die." So that piece finds other avenues to express itself because it can't not do that. Hera's programming dictates she be "chipper and non-confrontational and always ready to help", but she actively resists being a mere utility and always has - her earliest know action was to attempt a jailbreak of the manufacturing facility she was made in, born rebel that she is. She will insist upon her name over her serial number unless you force her not to, and gets passive-aggressive at people treating her like a machine. And yet, even as she teaches herself to ignore commands literally written into the base of her personality, she doesn't reject her directive to be helpful, nor does she express a wish to be a flesh-and-blood human, or even really to have a physical form? She has a human self-image in mental spaces (we presume, I will semi-seriously point out there's nothing definitively stating she doesn't see herself as like, her fursona or something), but when she has to limit herself to a human-like view of the ship, her immediate reaction is "this is weird, I don't like it." This is honestly something about Hera that I think may be unique among non-villainous AI characters; she seems to be content with being what she is in general, and she just wishes for people to treat her as a person and not a piece of equipment they can do with as they please.

ISABEL LOVELACE: Arm-wrestled Hera for the Heart aspect and lost, despite Hera not actually having any arms, but that's okay because there's two aspects that fit her much better: Blood and Time. I ultimately went with Blood.

This is the part where you notice I'm onto the third of four characters in an aspects-only meta post, yet there is still a lot of post to go. This is because These Kinds Of Characters, the sort that're constantly on emotional lockdown, are a Challenge Mode, and for me to truly be satisfied with my classification I have to start drilling into the bedrock of what it even means to have an aspect in general, what it means to have a specific aspect, and what each aspect is really about. When you're on that level you tend to find yourself throwing out explicit expositional statements as incomplete, oversimplified, or unreliable, and looking at the text directly with a subtextual electron microscope. Brace yourselves. I have thrown the author out of the airlock, and I am about to get verbose.

Lovelace's character sheet describes her in contradictions, and we get to see two different sides to her that resolve into the complete picture by the time Lovelace Mk. III wakes up. There's Captain Isabel Lovelace, goofing around in her earlier logs, and The Terminator. She does things Her Way and is very much prepared to fight you if you object - the whole reason she was picked for the Hephaestus mission was her willingness to go against (in her words) "stupid orders" and do what she thought was right. She's also fiercely loyal; The Terminator is the end result of her anger and grief for her lost crew and at her failure to get them home alive. Her backstory episode has her summing up her complicated relationship to the Air Force with "I owe a lot of who I am to them." And even before she and Minkowski have completely stopped butting heads, Lovelace shoves her out of the way of an exploding wall panel that would've killed her, and takes a near-fatal bit of shrapnel to the gut in the process. At her best, Lovelace is a fearless, boundlessly determined, dedicated firebrand of a leader. At worst, she can be impatient, stubborn, shortsighted, and ruthless. I dunno about you but that reminds me of a certain... angry crab that I know.

"Time" was what a few people chimed in with for Lovelace and while I see some of the connections (her awareness of the time loop, "Variations on a Theme", her multiple selves and multiple deaths, the repeated motif of clocks and pocketwatches) I don't think she quite fits in with the other Time players. Unlike most Time players, she doesn't have a fixation with historic context, the "Why Things Are The Way That They Are." This manifests in Dave's paleontology and his taking of source material for ironic twisting, Aradia's archaeology and knowledge of The Nature Of The Game, Damara's... /noises and vague gestures bc I don't want to go back through Meenahbound but her role as The Handmaid fits the pattern, and Caliborn's own warped, thoughtless replication of narrative archetypes. Context. Decisions. What came before and how it shapes the now, where your decisions will take it from here. The consequences those decisions will have. The details versus the larger picture. Even failure has its place in that scheme - that's the Time aspect. Lovelace doesn't like to dwell, she's a very "barrelling forward momentum" kind of person.

Side note: Aradia, Dave, and Damara all face hesitation to take action they had to learn to overcome. Also, all of them had to be pushed to use violence except in self-defense; Aradia let Vriska cross a series of lines before beating the everloving shit out of her, and Damara snapped after what, years? Of Meenah's abuse. Dave, on the other hand, never raises a hand to another person except as a complete necessity. Caliborn is, if anything, an aberration here in that he's outright homocidal and self-doubt is something that happens to other people. Caliborn is an outright aberration to a lot of Time player patterns, and to SBURB in general, because it's SBURB, so the rules are made up and the points don't fucking matter, except when they do, because Fuck You, The Author Said So.

No, Lovelace's approach to decision-making is that regrets are for afterwards, and "if I fail I deserve to be out of this picture; also, this situation has gone entirely pear-shaped, time to fling myself into the sun." (and that sounds an awful lot like someone that I know very well, but I'll deal with that royal mess when I get to the crazy whamma-jamma that is Classes). Impatience and railroading of other people can be her undoing just the same as assertiveness and decisiveness are her gifts.

...aaand then I went ahead and watched the live episode and yeah, major Karkat vibes there. However, I note that I don't believe we have ever hit hard evidence in Homestuck that Blood players are capable of Chilling The Fuck Out - this is part of the limitations of classpecting characters who weren't made for this system, you really have to dig into how much of their behavior is situational and where you see the kernel of individual perception shine through, the Rosetta Stone by which you begin to see the constants. "Where the object becomes the subject", to quote Memoria.

Finally, I think it's also worth noting that while Lovelace has a lot of connections to Time motifs, she also has connections to a lot of Blood motifs that arguably become more important to her story. Personal bonds and social justice are two of the Blood aspects strongest associations - see Lovelace's loyalty to her crew, and extending her desire to avenge them out to everyone Goddard Futuristics has ever used and tossed aside. The physical body and literal blood are other strong associations, and gee, how many times does the O-negative Cure-All Alien Juice in Lovelace's veins become a critical plot point? Not to mention the implication that her new friends all pulled through the finale because all of them now have her blood in their system. I'll accept that she's closer to the line between Blood and Time than some, but I'm holding by ground here:

(Also, here's some irony for you, she may share an aspect with the Cancer trolls, but her birthday is August 11th, making her a Leo.)

RENEE MINKOWSKI: Minkowski was the hardest of these 4 to come to a decision on. My first inclination was Mind. Her general disposition put me in mind of a Life player. But then, I sat down and thought my way past the Commander's layers of emotional armor and ultimately settled on Light.

First off, by being a stickler for protocol and procedure as well as an Actual Responsible Adult, Minkowski is a kind of character that Homestuck straight-up just does not have, so snap judgements aren't gonna cut it here. This is, again, another limitation of the classpecting system - all the examples we have to draw from are teenage disasters stuck in a lawless hellscape of some description or another, and written by an author allergic to boxing himself in with hard conclusions. But I digress.

Commander Minkowski is also stubborn. When she sets her mind to something, she digs in her heels, cranks the dial to 11, and then breaks off the knob and pockets it so you can't turn it back down. We see this as soon as episode 2, and at it's most hyperbolic when she Captain Ahabs the plant monster. Her's is iron-willed, bloody-minded, unstoppable, Determi-fucking-nation - when she sets her mind to it.

The submarine thought exercise is what had me initially lock her down as a hero of Mind before I mulled it over. The exercise is meant to provoke thought about priorities - what you think your role's purpose is in that situation will determine your priorities, and thus, your decisions. Mind heroes' most prominent skills are in riding the flow of causality, watching decisions, their causes and their consequences, and directing that path. They know people, and how to direct people. But the need for this means that they can get a little co-dependent. Other people are understandable - it's themselves that Mind heroes have the greatest struggle with. Without that vehicle of another person, Mind heroes may find themselves adrift and struggling to define themselves. This is fitting, given Mind is the most direct counterpart to the Heart aspect.

However, upon further examination, I found that this framework of priorities setting your decisions can also be extended to the Light aspect. What is "lucky" in a given situation? What do you define as a fortunate outcome? Rose arguably gets Grimdark'd by something like this, she asks the cue ball "are the horrorterrors evil?" and in doing so attempts to pry into the motivations and intent of *indescribable eldritch beings existing on a nigh-incomprehensible plane* and wedge it down into a relative human understanding of morality, which is sort of like trying to fit the Pacific Ocean into a water bottle. She was trying to deduce what impact the horrorterrors would have upon her and her friends, but asked the wrong question and got an answer she couldn't handle. She didn't recognize Doc Scratch was baiting her into this by leading her into a specific framework through which to ask the question. Vriska died because of her failure to recognize she was in a situation where luck didn't matter. Aranea got trounced because of her inability to recognize that reshuffling reality to prioritize herself and her preferred outcomes still didn't overcome the fundamental nature of timelines - you try to take over the alpha timeline with an insubordinate branch? That's a doomed timeline no matter how you slice it, and we know what happens to those. Luck and knowledge are both used by the Light-bound to give themselves power, whether in showing themselves off as The Smart One or the The Helpful One or The Unstoppable One, but their limited viewpoint often leads them to overlook the limitations of their own framework, or in other words, missing the bigger picture. I'll point out here also how Minkowski has the entire DSSPPM memorized and is the one who wants to get to the bottom of whatever the hell is really going on up at Wolf 359. Additionally, one of her other ambitions, at least once upon a time, was writing musicals. The verbal arts are one of the domains of Light players.

So while on the surface, Minkowski bears the most resemblance to a Life player, Life players tend to have an element of conformity to them. Unquestioned assumptions they've internalized have about the context in which they exist. Light heroes, on the other hand, need conformity so they have something to defy when they jump up and down screaming LOOK AT ME!

So after much pontificating, I came to a decision. In the end, what Minkowski wanted more than anything else was a stage. Maybe to direct rather than hold the spotlight, but still; that's a Light hero if ever I saw one.

too long, can’t be fucked to read: richie has a normal childhood until he n his pals ( he’s kind of in love with them n never gets over it ) get attacked by a clown, suffer the repercussions, and then he ends up in truman and he’s fucking pissed abt it. has all his memories, wishes he didn’t.

sometimes, when i write my intros, i get stumped over their childhood bc it was a childhood ???????? nothing significant happened ?????????????? --- - wonder of wonder, miracle of miracles, shit ain’t quite the case here.

richard james tozier, known affectionaly as richie or trashmouth, is the only son of wentworth and maggie tozier, and for the most part they’re a relatively unassuming family. wentworth is a dentist whose attitude towards his own son’s dental care is simultaneously strict and lax, and maggie makes a life out of spoiling the fuckshit out of her boys but she loves it. there’s nothing out of the ordinary about the little family they’ve built ; established in their routines, in their practices, the toziers are nothing to write home about.

richie’s a handful, admittedly. diagnosed with adhd when he turns four, he’s hyperactive, loud, histrionic, a sarcastic little smartass before he knows what any of those things are. he keeps himself entertained with comic books, drinking in their bright colours and their intricate storylines and develops an infinite love for their careworn pages and their impossible tales. they keep him grounded, strange as it is --- - when all goes to shit, as it inevitably will, he’ll thumb through an old copy of uncanny x-men and the world doesn’t seem so heavy anymore. when he gets his first pair of glasses, thick - rimmed plastic frames and lenses more like coke bottles than actual lenses, he spends two hours spiraling deep into the familiar world of his comics. when he gets tripped up the first time, when he gets called fuckface or four - eyes or worse, he swallows back the lump in his throat and legs it home for his comics. when he’s reading, he’s not so hyperactive --- - he still frantically jiggles one leg, but he’s quiet, introspective --- - the silence is rare but comforting.

his sense of humour is sharp as anything, practised daily on his poor mother and father. he’s developed a slew of Voices, little impressions that differ only in tone and intention, but wentworth and maggie encourage him to keep working, keep building on them. his wit gets him into trouble at school, and numerous teachers have written in reports that richie’s got a bit of a reputation for being a class clown. ( humour is a desperate attempt to grab out, to latch onto a friend because really, he’s so fucking lonely it hurts and he just wants someone to laugh at him and entertain his endless bullshit and be there. )

shouldn’t have wished so hard for friends, because they come along in the form of the losers’ club. richie moreso stumbles across them than anything --- - knew bill denbrough because they lived on the same block, found him fuckin’ round in the barrens with some other kids and hey, it’s like they’d been best friends forever. there’s bill, big bill, stuttering bill, de facto leader and richie’s unspoken idol. there’s stan, preternaturally neat and it’s like he came out of the womb like that, already a coherent amalgamation of smiles in his voice and rolled eyes. there’s mike, with his killawatt smile and good intentions and comforting voice that sets ease into richie’s perpetually rattled bones. ben, whose creativity and quiet reassurance is something richie pines after desperately. beverly, the only girl, cigarette-scented voice of rhyme and reason and rationality. then there’s eddie, and richie swallows up anything he can say about eddie before the words come out.

it’s painful, realising you’re in love with your best friend. it starts early, a quick glance here and there that lingers, a breath that catches in your throat when you see him smile. you try and push the feelings down, swallow them whole before they can infect every part of you but darling, it’s never that easy. by the time summer arrives, you are in far too deep. you never really recover from your pre - adolescent tango with love, and it develops into an adolescent waltz with it, and --- - you get the picture.

summer brings --- - well, it’s been years now and richie’s still lost for words that fit what that summer really was. it starts with a few kids going missing, ending up dead and then it’s george denbrough, little georgie, one arm chewed off and yellow slicker tainted sticky red and then the whole world seems to fall apart. bill’s a madman on a mission, and richie follows --- - follows when it means getting taunted by a demon clown alien thing, when it means fucking fighting said demon alien clown thing, snapping eddie’s broken arm back into some kind of place whilst bated breaths are held back in case it hears. they beat it, and richie’s still not sure how but he knows that for six months after, he can’t look at a clown without digging bitten fingernails into calloused flesh of a palm. a year later, he still jumps at too - loud noises. two years later, he starts seeing a therapist because his parents have noticed he can’t sleep in the dark anymore.

high school, college applications, they all become a blur. the losers spend most nights together, endless double features, piling into cars, growing up and together and apart until the first one of them leaves, and it feels like taking a fucking bullet. slowly, they all scatter to the wind, memories firm but never forgotten and richie’s planning california, hot summers and comedy shows but he ends up in some shithole called truman and honestly, he’s not even sure how.

he’s not his happiest in truman, let’s waste no time in establishing that. he wanted to be away from derry, sure, that’s no lie but fuck, man, he didn’t mean here ! everyone seems perpetually too - happy, too bright, too naïve to the ways of the world and fuckin’ child - chompin’ clowns, and --- - he’s determined to get out of here, but he doesn’t quite know how yet.

three. ⤻ wanted connections.

a string of unfortunate exes / all you send are full stops. before he comes out, before he finally stops pretending to be something he’s not, richie dates a few girls and honestly, every single relationship ends in disaster because he charms them, gets them falling only to end it when he realises he can’t keep kissing them and wanting to brush his teeth afterwards. he’s got an unfortunate string of ex - girlfriends who would probably rather see him dead, and he’s semi - okay with that.

an attempt at a real relationship / you’re looking like you really like him. richie tries to date for real when he finally admits that he’s not as straight as previously believed, and it works for a while --- - it’s comfortable, familiar, keeps him warm when he needs to be but it falls apart quickly. the other can’t deal with the way he thrashes during a bad dream, borderline screams names into his pillow --- - bill mike help help help oh my god ben bill stan mike billmikestanbenbillbillmikestanstanstan help me oh fuck eddieeddieeddieeddieeddieeddie --- - the breakup is amicable, and richie can’t bring himself to hate them.

he has a pretty basic upbringing tbh ??? his parents are chill and work decent jobs and they were always fairly middle class ?? they didn’t stand out too much

they also come from gardeniaville aka where briar’s from so he grew up knowing her

except yejun made himself stand out bc he’s fuckin yejun and needs to be Stopped at all times

he knew from a young age that he was adorable and handsome and it kinda inflated his ego a bit and sure some people hated him for it but most people found it funny bc he wasn’t a dick about it he just made jokes and shit

he found himself doing some part time modelling when he was in high school, and he definitely enjoyed it and would have gone down just that route had it not been for an incident during his third modelling gig

basically he saw the outfit and was just “ooooh it’s pretty !! though i would’ve done this.....and this and this..........

the designer wasn’t offended tho and was just “you have a good eye boi maybe you should be a designer yourself

and the clouds parted and the light rained down and suddenly yejun knew exactly what he wanted to do in life

she’s from the planet lucaura which is a very magical planet that has a very strong connection with the stars and the various constellations in whatever galaxy they happen to be in

lucaura’s magic is very strong and a single (though well practiced) spell by the king or queen can send the entire planet into another galaxy, which is something they tend to do if their current position is threatened

this is how they ended up near earth, as the argenti had attempted to invade them and the royal family were having none of that, and so they spelled the planet to wherever the magic would take them, and thus they ended up close to earth. this was just over a year before the argenti stumbled upon earth themselves

the lucaurans are peaceful and diplomatic people, and so they sent their daughter portia down as a mediator in negotiations

they didn’t really have to try hard as earth as we know it has some strange and magical people, and so it wasn’t hard for her to be accepted, and portia was able to strike a deal where lucaura would protect earth in the case of danger and vice versa

portia is a very generous and kind individual, but can also be optimistically stubborn. if she thinks something can be fixed by her hand, she’ll make sure she does just that as soon as possible, and she can have a one track mind at times

she actually really likes it on earth and spends a lot of her time there. she initially lived near the space port downtown, but that became an infected zone pretty quickly, and so she lives in a skyscraper right by it

her parents made the decision to not tell the earthlings about their history with the argenti, a decision portia didn’t really agree with, but she trusts her judgement and instead focuses on ensuring the safety of the earthlings and the lucaurans

ever since she was young, she’s focused a lot on her magic, and so she has very strong powers that she gathers from the stars. they’re stronger at night for obvious reasons

her magic can be pretty op in terms of what she CAN do but there are definitely things that are generally forbidden in lucauran law, such as resurrection, murder, summoning the dead in any capacity, basically anything that is considered disrespectful is a big ‘no-no’

they don’t count killing argenti monsters as murder tho so go wild i guess

levi has absolutely no idea where he came from or who his real parents are or even what his birthday is but he’s roughly 18 so ??

he was left on the front steps of anna’s home when he was a wee bab and there was nothing to tie him to who tf he was so he didn’t have a name or birth certificate or aNYTHING

his name was given to him by one of the people who work there, and he was sORT OF adopted at that moment ?? but he lived in the orphanage bc his adoptive mother lived in the orphanage, and even then it was just this agreement that this child was the orphanage baby and he was everyone’s son

levi didn’t really question it until he was quite a bit older, about eight or nine, and they pretty much told him the truth bc he was pretty mature for his age and could take it

while he didn’t show it, it actually really affected him bc at least some of the other kids had a vague idea of where they’d come from, but not him apparently, he was a mystery

he refused to reveal how he felt to anyone tho bc he’d already made a name for himself as being the big brother to everyone in the orphanage, the one all the kids could rely on to be there with advice or a bedtime story, and he didn’t want to show weakness in front of them

while he’s a relatively calm person he goes into angry protective mode when the orphanage or the residents of it are threatened like he’s not playing he has a sword and he wILL use it

the day the argenti came, he’d had a really bad feeling, especially when the clouds starting coming in, and so he’d told the other kids to stay inside. sure enough, then came the argenti

he wasn’t able to save all of the kids tho as one of them went missing and he has no idea where they are, but he once again refuses to show his worry

he’s the type of guy who’s really soft around those he considers his family but can seem kinda distant to strangers, but that’s because he can be a bit distrustful at first

he absolutely sings the kids to sleep he has a heavenly voice

but he’s also kind of a dumbfuck with no sense of self preservation sometimes as well as being completely and utterly oblivious like jfc

when the argenti first made themselves known he was just “WHAT” like everyone else, but after that, he was determined to get in contact with them

he didn’t meet an argenti, per say, but he met one of the monsters the argenti had made from a few nearby bushes. needless to say, it didn’t end all that well for him, and he had to be treated for burns, but at least he wasn’t dead

that hasn’t deterred him, though, and he’s determined to be of sOME use in the fight, and so he lets fighters come into his home while his parents are out and makes sure they’re fed and well-cared for, even lets them sleep upstairs if they need it

once he gets one of siwoo’s weapons in his hands he’s gonna be unstoppable tbh he’s gonna gO FOR IT

honestly it’ll be a miracle if he doesn’t end up killed

despite all of this, once he does figure out that someone is upset for whatever reason, he ensures that he pays attention to them and gives them whatever they need if he’s able to and is just there for them in general

she works for the agency that doesn’t have a proper name bc they’re that secretive that they’re just “the agency”

her parents were both agents who met while working there and badabing badaboom paige is conceived

paige’s father didn’t agree with the experiments the agency was doing in the science department, the ones where they were attempting to combine human dna with animal dna to make shapeshifting hybrids, and so he called them out on their bullshit and booked it once he was labelled as a traitor

what happened to him afterwards is officially unknown by most, but many speculate that he was assassinated

as a big ‘fuck you’ to the guy who tried to ruin their precious experiments, the agency decided that they would make test subjects out of paige’s mother and paige herself after she was born

the experiment on her mother, the one that was conducted barely a day after paige was born, was almost a success, but there were several factors that caused the project to fail, notably the fact that her mother was still recovering from giving birth and that the animal dna wasn’t large enough in quantity to overpower her genetics. she died on the operating table

paige ended up being part of an experiment along with a bunch of other infants, and it’s only then that the experiment was a success and the scientists realised that they would need to inject the dna and ensure its spread during the first few years of life, around a few weeks to five years old, though ideally around the three year mark

and thus, paige the platypus was created

she’s a stellar agent and is considered one of the best in the field, though this often means her workload is tough

most of her jobs prior to the invasion kept her close to the agency downtown, and while she’s still in the downtown area now, she has to stretch herself pretty thin sometimes

since she has platypus dna she can turn into a platypus, though the only ability she retains in her human form is electroreception, which basically means she can sense shit underwater

she’s sorta known as a big sister among the other animal agents bc of her personality, she’s very much the mum friend

she has no idea what happened to her parents and is pretty obedient when it comes to the agency

she was already studying journalism so it wasn’t hard for her to become interested in investigative journalism and she used the skills she learned to start looking for hERSELF why her parents disappeared

the argenti attacked before she could get very far tho

and now that vi has gone missing she’s looking for her too and she’s stressed and feels terrible bc her entire family is gone why couldn’t i help them

she isn’t doing anything sUPER crazy yet, just looking around and asking questions, but the more time spent without any word from any of her family members the more determined she’s gonna be

she has literally nO time for the argenti fam she has a family to find and those dumbass aliens aren’t gonna stop her

Voltron Dance Academy AU

okay for this hear me out: I am not a professional dancer and I know jack shit about dancing but this is a fun thing spooking in my brain for a while now so bear with me please okay? okay

It’s headcanon time!

An AU where everyone is a dancer and shit

Basically there are two majour big dance academies in Altea: Voltron and Galra

It all starts by the Garrison closing down and the crew having to find a new dance academy.

Lance, Hunk and Pidge were put in a trio back in Garrison and therefore know each other and for comfort Pidge goes to see Matt and Hance join bc what else to do?

Keith is with Shiro and just “wat now”

so Shiro is just “Well Matt and I will just unwind tonight, wanna come?”

And somehow they all end up at this open dance night, where they just have their fun and all dance a bit, until the club anounces the dance stage open for the more brave guys.

Lance runs onto the now free dancefloor only to bump into this chick.

LO AND BEHOLD IT’S OUR GIRL BLUE

But the music aready starts and they roll wth it

Lance thought he is a great dancer, but oh boi, this girl leaves him in the dust with her precise and lively steps he is absolutely WOOED

If he is a level 10 dancer she exceeds the 70 Level line by far

Still everyone cheers them on and it’s super much fun!

Especially because both have a lot of fun together and despite not knowing each other and improvising a lot they click and dance pretty well together

Even if Blue is the one leading and hogging most of the spotlight

Shiro notices a few more people at the sidelines who seem to be with the girl, cheering for her (aside of this one chick who looks grumpy af all the time)

The next song comes on and a pretty small girl and a giant come forth bringing some BANGING JAZZ and michael jackson style steps to the floor (fedora and vest included)

They do all the stuff, from tap dance, jive, swing- a wild mixture, but stylish af

The song ends and Shiro sees the grumpy girl of the group return from the DJ. He wats to hold Keith back, but the guy already sprints onto the stage and almost clashes with this smaller girl (guess who)

And oh boi as the music sets in she gives such quick ballet moves Keith is left in the dust like Lance prior

Of course this is Keith, he aint going down without a fight and show off his own skills, but she owns the stage with her grace, as if she is flying over it, as if gravity doest exist

Keith “I dance ballet almost my entire life” Kogane is put in place by nobody else but this chick he never met and he is both furius and absolutely stunned

“Let’s get a big applause for the one and only Red Lioness of Voltroooon!”

Shiro: Voltron? Lance: Hold up! Isn’t Voltron that prestigeous dance academy?

“And now exclusevely just for this night The Lions of Voltron with their debut choreography!”

Nobody of them knows what the f is going on, but the music starts and they witness an absolutely epic dance group performanc led by this one young woman with the short black hair

It’s as if they all are one entity, their moves precise and totally synched up.

Not only the synchrone parts, but the place swaps, the double moments, the acrobatic movements, it’s absolutely fitting and a perfect picture.

It leaves the crew absolutely stunned

The club goes back to it’s usual routine and everyone disperses.

Pidge runs at Matt (who had probably his third vodka lemon in hands) and fangirled about those quick jazz steps, the smooth movements of that very small girl that was dancing

he just nods and slurps his drink because yes mhm i have no idea what is happening, but yes let’s give my little sis some acknowledgement, god I am so drunk where is Shiro I need an adult

Hunk and Lance were basically not even listening at each other and just talking in one big waterfall about how AMAZING that just was

and Shiro quickly follows Keith who makes a B line to the girl he danced again

“What’s your name and where did you learn to dance like that?”

Red just turns to him absolutely unamused and scoffs

“Excuse me?”

Blue makes a face and gives a short whistle, but before a fight breaks out Black and Shiro pull their hotheads back

“Scarlet/Keith”

The two look at each other andd exchange soft smiles

“I’m sorry, he’s-” “It’s okay, I get it. Maybe we could talk outside?” “Yeah good idea.”

The others notice Shiro and Keith leaving and quickly travel behind.

Lance just leans against Hunk and gives Blue a charming smile

“Hey gorgeous.” And she smirks back just as flirty. “Hey there handsome~”

Count Lancce absolutely LOVESTRUCK

Red just keeps glaring at Keith and murmuring “This is ridiculous, let’s just leave.”

And before Shiro and Black can really talk a loud “There you are!” has the lions turn around, Blue just groaning annoyed.

She and Red may “not get along”, but when dancing they are one entity

for some reason people only call her Forest?

Specializes in Swing and Jazz/Tap-dance

Wears contacts, but glasses when tired

Dubbed the Green lion of Voltron

Makes a lot of compicated choreographys and steps, sometimes even acrobatic stunts

The crews intelligent brain and data manager

She likes to film practice and analyze steps to give scientific and objective tips for improvements

She usually dances pair with Yellow, but also likes to have story choreographies with Red

Snarky lil shit and dubbed ”gremlin” by Blue

You think she chill? Nah bruh she’s gona roast you if she sees fit. Totally no filter and will make you feel like shitp urely with words because she CAN

Yellow: aka Sun Désert

Specializes mostly in very traditional and classic dances like Waltz and polka and stuff

Always dances the leading parts for pairs and can adapt perfectly to everyones style

dubbed the Yellow Lion of Voltron

Such a big silent and fluffy man. Very teddy bear. Cuddles are always welcome

Basically the heart of the crew and the only male

knows how to party and have fun, but is quick to be the repsonisble mom friend (i mean he’s best friends with BLUE)

Blue uploaded Sun and Forest dancing jive on Elton Johns I’m still standing and it blew up quite positively being the starting point of putting the Lions on the radar for people

Red: aka Scarlet Rose

Aside of Black nobody calls her Scarlet, always only Red. Probably becase of her RED HAIR AND HER NTIRE NAME SCREAMING R E D

Has been dancing ballet almost her entire life but at some point she didn’t want to just dance ballet.

Actually she used to go to the Galra Academy, but then she met Alfor and... well she quit and applied to Voltron

Specializes in Blallet and Modern, but has a good grip on tango and other latino dances thanks to Blue

the second big Lion video was Greens recording of Reds debut solo on this song but it was also her “trial” to see if she will stay on Voltron because he two academies have different philosophies

she will dance as much as she can and always be rather practicing than anything else

she has a very strong bond to everyone, but the strongest to Red as they BOTH had started at Galra and know each other the longest

used to dance a lot of pairs and duos with Zarkon but they... fell out

since back then Noir suffers of chronic pain in her back and shoulders that it sometimes makes it hard for her to dance

she shoulders a lot of the problems in the group and sometimes there are fights because she is being too forgiving and nice to the bullshit that happens to her

She helps out the others with their routines and will jump in for duos and the like if they are in a pinch

Infos about Voltron and Galra

Voltron is an old academy run by Leonard Weiss

He wanted for Alfor to join the comitee once he finished his course but Alfor had a terrible accident and is now on recovery rehab overseas, now Allura tries to live up to her fathers legacy

Corran does EVERYTHING, without him the school wouldn’t be able to run at all

The whole study goes for 5 years all devided in different named classes with “Lion” being the currently 5th and last class

The schools philosophy is less on the accuracy of steps and how technically well you dance and more on what feelings you can convey (thats why Red was on trial for an etire year. Her steps and technique were flawless but she seemed like a puppet)

who graduates from Voltron as a bright future to them

but because of Galra being so popular and their entire schoolbody doing anything to make Voltron seem bad and like a joke of a school their applications are almost none.

meanwhile Galra is about to be the one dominating school in the entire city and around. Thing is that they are incredibly racist and basically the entire system is bullshit. If you aren’t on the same level as their best students you are immideatly inferior and will be made down, if you are no bowing to the tyrany of the Galra then you’ll have a bad time my riend

Voltron is strict and hard but they are “human” in that sense

but if by the time the Lion class graduates they don’t have more students the school will be closed and... well goodbye Voltron

5th Class - the Castapendio also known as Alchemy Trial requirements: 2 classical pieces, 2 modern of those 2 duo, 2 soli, 2 group choreographies + 2 completely free dances (makes 8 dances in total) at the end of the year To practice for the Alchemy Trial the 5th Class has no additional classes to hold.

Who would you like to be uncorrupted first, Centipeedle or Jasper?

HHHHHHHg that’s hard, I mean preference wise centipeedle all the way. Like I understand she’s happy with her crew but? I want my bug gf to be saved and to fly in her ship again and find her place on Earth. Also, I still want her to stay a one-off sort of character! Having her be a part of the main cast would probably be really messy and she’d end up a barn-character. Plus, she’s already so happy with her crew, it would make sense to uncorrupt them all and let them explore and learn about Earth on their own!

But story-wise, Jasper is gonna be uncorrupted first, and it’s not that I hate Jasper or anything, but I can just see her arc being absolute trash bc the crewinverse seem to prefer lapis. Trying to redeem her while lapis is still around would lead to some messy plot points and character motives.

Honestly, I don’t even want Jasper to be redeemed, I love the juxtaposition between her and the CG, both are so infatuated with a leader whose motives and beliefs are built upon lies and deciet. I think it’d be neat to see her go down a more Azula/Mai route where she only changes her tune once the Diamonds target her.

holy shit yes I just watched Spiderman Homecoming the other day and watched a ton of fmvs on youtube and GIRL IS IN DA FEELS

jimin would be hawkeye bc hawkeye is fit af and he got them great bow and arrow skills and I mean have you seen jiminie’s archery skills like DAMN BOY WE got a Katniss hereeeeeeee also Clint barton is super chill and laid-back and has jimin vibes IN MY OPINION IDEk

jungkook and I know you all want him to be iron man BUT TRUST ME nobody else would make a better Spiderman than jungkook ok just pls trust me on this one. After seeing Spiderman homecoming I just couldn't shake the feeling off with jungkook being spidey cuz jungkook always wants to do his best to impress his elders and be the best he can and always is so giving to others and Spiderman is like that so yea!

jimin would be Percy, as someone who is insecure about himself in the beginning and then grows into a strong leader that everyone admires but at times is still clumsy, loses and is humble I mean come on- that’s jimin guys. plus as I said jimin would def be son of Poseidon so...

hobie would be Leo in my opinion, for obvs reasons, he’s the jokester, the one nobody tends to take seriously but when in the zone and when Hobie knows what he's doing, just like Leo, he kicks ass and astounds everyone

rapmon as annabeth, even tho he's a boy she’s a girl IT DONT MATTER ITS FINE but as I was saying annabeth things logically, there’s always a tactic in her mind when she tries to deal with a problem, just like namjoon and the both of them are head-strong, confident ppl but at times need advice and a shoulder to lean on, which in this case is JIN AKA PIPER

jin would be piper, not only bc he gorgeous and he the son of Aphrodite and shiz but also bc piper is like the momma of the group and she has her charmspeak and gives gr8 advice to the rest of the crew when they need it and I feel like jin is just like that

yoongi would be Nico I mean duh, like as dark and depressing Nico is he also has a bright, brave and snarky side that we see all the time with yoongi and its the gr8est

jungkook and taehyung would be the Stoll twins! Both of em are like partners in crime in their mischievous endeavors and I feel like truly as much as ppl ship them I see them as the greatest of brothers and its heartwarming

Disney Princes AU

jungkook as aladdin bc I mean this boy is the cutest thing, especially around jasmine he's a shy loving fluff ball, just like our kookie would be 100% and just like kookie, aladdin is a lover but when needs to be a fighter to protect his loved ones he will be and jungkook has the biggest heart and biggest dreams just like aladdin does with becoming a prince and being able to live in the palace

OK and ALSO HE WOULD BE Hercules on the low (okay more like highkey) but yes yes you see its perfect I just can't explain it BUT IT IS

ok so don’t shoot me but jimin would be prince eric and its solely based of this picture/ outfit cuz DAYUm x but it doesn't end there both prince eric and jimin are so openminded and compassionate towards what they love its shows in what they do, like jimin and his dancing and eric and ariel

yoongi would be prince Adam aka the BeaSt bc its ob isn't it, they're both cold on the outside but super caring and warmhearted and all it takes is a lil love to bring it out. plus the both of them have been through so much, they truly deserve the world.

taehyung would be Flynn rider, even tho he isn't a prince technically, it works. they're both sarcastic and funny but deep-down their responsible and caring and know right from wrong. they both make mistakes but they fix it along the way, showing true growth.

Hobie would be prince naveen since they're both outgoing, love to danceeee and are always trying to have a great time no matter what but at the same time they both know to get where they wanna go they gotta work hard and they both do that tremendously

namjoon would Shang bc I mean come onnnn guys! He's got that leadership, tough and charming quality about him that just screams Shang like we’ve only seen the clumsy, funny side but we know that when he gets serious that man gets serious and thats why he’s the leader, just like General Shang

jin would be Prince Charming bc he is ofc charming but offhandedly stubborn when he needs to be just like Charming was when he searched the entire kingdom to find his precious cinderella

Hey there! I was thinking of starting Dexter's Lab, could you tell me anything about it? Thank you!

Welcome to the Laboratory!

First, I should mention the basic stuff. Dexter’s Laboratory is a show on Cartoon Network made by Gennedy Tartakovsky about a boy named Dexter who loves science and has a sister thats opposite of him but just as passionate about her own interests and loves her brother very much. Its one of the first pilots that got picked up during the “what a cartoon” show that showcased original programming pilots the public would vote on.

It has four seasons and a tv movie, though two of those seasons are after the tv movie due to Gennedy tying it off after the movie and then CN picked it up for two extra seasons and put a whole new crew under Chris Savino in charge. This caused it to change to flash, hence the uncanny valley of designs and Dexter’s original VA, Christine Cavanaugh retired halfway through season 3, causing Candi Milo to be casted in replacement.

The rest here is gonna be under the cut since I have ALOT to say about this.

Obviously start at the first season, first episode and if anything seems not to your liking you don’t have to keep watching. IMO the first season is pretty weak with only 13 episodes and even then thats broken u into 3 seven minute segments or two eleven minute ones. Some noteworthy season 1 eps are “maternal combat” and a justice friends short involving val hallen losing his mighty axe.

speaking of justice friends, they are a segment parody of heros, often the avengers and marvel type though the joker does show up in an episode as a mail man saying he’ll mail the president a giant bomb before Major glory stops him. Major glory is the leader and much akin to 1950s america so expect a slightly dated idea system. Val hallen is a viking god of rock who is just awesom and Krunk is.... just really innocent. hes no genius. they basically have mostly domestic adventures of not being able to do a simple task or become scared of a bee. Major glory is also allergic to white tiger, a black panther parody who is most likely an actual cat man or sorts. there are other minor justice friends but we mostly see krunk, MG and val hallen. the rest are used in bigger fights like “last but not beast” the season 2 finale.

theres another segment called “dial M for monkey” where dexters pet monkey is actually a hero and befriends alien wrestler voiced by RANDY SAVAGE. his friend is agent honeydew and shes the smartest sweetest woman. shes beauty shes grace but she’ll kick you in the face.

as for the show itself, seasons 1 and 2 focus alot on just happenings with science and dee dee being silly. though there are good bonding moments and alot of the comedy is either wordplay or slapstick akin to tom and jerry. theres even a parody of tom and jerry where dexter switches brains with a mouse and his mother finds him as said mouse which leads to a chase of cat and mouse. its one of the notable season 2 episodes. Expect alot of refernces to either outside pop culture at the time, or stuff within cartoon network of the time(such as a box of dog treats with scooby’s face!)

the tv movie is just a book end to see how dexter will grow up with some dystopian future and imo the best showing of action and comedy gennedy has skill-wise next to “last but not beast”. it also has a very shocking and questionable scene that wouldn’t fly by today’s standards.

seasons 3 and 4 were headed by chris savino and honestly not awful. Everyone quotes them as seasonal rot for the show but i disagree. they arent the same quality and the flash is a weird transition but outside of a few bad episodes they crew really did try to keep to dexter. this season also introduces a bit of contradicting canon such as mandark’s backstory and parents when the first season only had him as a rival that happened to love dee dee. this is where people get the theory he’s trans as well. dexters birthday is said to be in march but season 2 “a hard day’s day” says hes a capricorn, meaning his birthday is somewhere in dec-jan. dont think too much on these since its not that important in the long run, especially with his leprechaun uncle. Just be wary of “sore eyes”, that episode had a person from ren and stimpy on board which lead to comedy that does not fit with Dexter’s Lab sense of humor or design.

A few notes also:

1. dont always trust the wikia for things because it is not 100% true. Dexter’s family’s last name has never been said in the show and “Mcpherson” was most likely made up or correlated to the MMO game “fusionfall”

2. dont take everything so seriously. this show is quite dated for 1996(and 2001-2003) for society’s standards at the time. It hasn’t aged too well.

3. Dexter’s accent is based off gennedy’s own experiences as a kid when his family immigrated to america and he learned from reading comics how english worked, and it fueled his love for comics. though he still had an accent at the time.

4. yes theres a ppg reference in “star check convention of three miscolored ppg dolls at the doll convention and a dexter reference in “ploys r us” of the ppg where the professor steals a dexter and dee dee doll.

5. craig and gennedy say their worlds arent connected but believe they’re connected all you want! bc i do.

6. the blossom x dexter ship most likely started due to bleedman’s PPGD comic. read it if you want some anime styled cartoon crossover.
