I had this dream where me and my friend's boat crashed onto a tropical island. But the island was filled with loads of funfair rides that had a likelihood of death. We all decided to go on them and they were fun until we went on this water slide thing that dropped us off in this weird house covered in black goop. We walked around it and there were these eyes that we had to avoid that would stare out of the goop. If we triggered the eyes these black tendrils would try and drag us into the massive drop into the rest of the house, that had no way out, next to all the walkways.
All of a sudden Barbie (Margot Robbie- stereotypical Barbie specifically) appears and says she'll guide me through the house. In the end she tries to trick me into falling into the house abyss so I can stay forever. I managed to run away with the rest of my friends but the rest of the island was covered in the goop.
Birthday Girl is part of a series of paintings about dissociation and identity. Are you your trauma or is your trauma you? How much does it make up your identity? And how much do you give up to dissociate throughout your life? These are questions I asked myself when designing this painting specifically does my birthday feel special to me or is this another day to go through the motions? I ask that you think of these questions and your own birthday when looking at this piece.

Does Home’s hypno eyes look like color rings or spirals?... Or does Home have different hypnosis... like hypnotic sounds or the shadow slime hypnotizing anyone who touches it? @w@
(Author speaking) Hmmm. I haven't thought much of it. But I think she would have some sort of large irises that would make the world around you blur, like a dolly-zoom (sometimes, backwards) and that she would sometimes uses her slime to ''infest'' a person's mind by attaching itself to it (without, like, getting into their nose, though). I would also imagine that she uses her slime to wave it back and forth in front of others and make people dance, dazed. I actually think you suggested good ideas, Anon. But Home, even to me, is still mysterious...
Black goo is a material made by crafting coal dust and sap, which can be used as an alternative for coal, burning just as long (8 items).
Coal dust is made by crafting coal or charcoal with a mortar and pestle, and its crafting produces 9 of it, making any coal stash long for longer than it would otherwise.
As of now, neither coal dust nor black goo have a use in crafting new blocks, but that will change soon ;D
Prince of Darkness (1987) was on the brain and I figured it'd be cooler if the zombies in the film looked like fucked up corpses leaking goo, flesh sleeves for the satan liquid. I also wrote a little chunk of something that may expand into a proper story or book or join the graveyard of words that's growing on my hard drive. Here's a taste:
I implemented a new rewards system at my school (at which I seemed to be both a young student and a teacher) where people could earn tickets and exchange them for prizes. Good behaviour included, but was not limited to, drawing pictures of Pokémon. Sadly, the project was sabotaged because someone told the two kids in charge of giving out prizes to give them in the wrong order, so the more tickets you cashed in the worse your prize was. Eventually everyone was after my head so I had to clear my name and prove sabotage while travelling solely by sneaking through windows to not be seen.
The culprit turned out to be a puddle of black goo.
