"So, Y/N? I was thinking we should go out sometime. Like Saturday night." Brad said.
Y/N had been putting his textbooks away in his locker when Brady had approached him. Brad was a good-looking guy, and many of the girls wanted him to ask them about it, but he just wasn't Y/N's type at all.
"Go out, huh? You and me?" Y/N shut his locker and looks at Brad with an amused grin.
"Yeah. It doesn't even have to be a date. Just two guys hanging out."
Before he could answer, Y/N looked to the side and saw Peter watching them. He looks shocked, angry, and hurt all in one. This is what he'd been waiting for. For Y/N to leave him for someone more popular and taller.
Y/N looks at brad. "Thanks, but no thanks."
"What? Why not?" Brad asked.
"Because I have a boyfriend, and he wouldn't like me going out on him."
"Who's your boyfriend?"
"Peter Benjamin Parker." Y/N pushed past Brad, walking towards Peter and kissing in front of everyone in the hallways of Midtown.

"Oh my God, Y/N. I am so screwed. Brad took a picture of me with my pants down. Literally. He thought I was doing things with this blonde seamstress, when really we were—"
"—Peter, I don't need to know what you and the seamstress did." Y/N said.
"No! It's like that. You see she was making me a new suit, since Spiderman can't be seen in Venice. Then people will start to suspect that Peter Parker is Spiderman." Peter said. "Plus, he's trying to ruin my chances with MJ. He's going to show her that picture."
Peter sighed and looked defeated as Y/N gave him a sympathetic look. "Look, Pete, that sucks. It really does, but if Michelle is dumb enough to fall for that himbo tattletale. She's not worth it. And I think I can help you with your problem."
Peter raised his eyebrows. "How?"
Y/N smiled and snapped his fingers as they left a smoky red mist.
"Y/N? What did you do?"
"Oh, I just erased the picture from Brad's phone. And he's naked in the Trevi fountain." Y/N smiled.

Come appreciate Brad Davis’ chest pelt when - in honour of Pride month - the FREE monthly Lobotomy Room cinema club presents Querelle (1982), R W Fassbinder’s adaptation of the scandalous Jean Genet novel! 15 June at Fontaine’s bar in Dalston! Set in the port of Brest (or “the fetid, stinking port of Brest” as it’s described on the back of my paperback), the plot focuses on Angel of the Apocalypse, the titular young sailor Georges Querelle (Davis), a totally amoral anti-hero with a sideline in murder, theft and opium smuggling. Querelle is so physically beautiful he’s irresistible to both men and women: pretty much every character he encounters becomes fatally attracted to him – and boy, does it lead to some wacky mishaps! Won’t you join us to watch this flawed, messy but compelling movie over cocktails? Full rancid details here.
