Okay so on the topic of joongdok, or just Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, whether its romantic or platonic or a secret third thing. I think one of the main reasons Yoo Joonghyuk holds affection for kdj, or tolerance? affection is not the right word but for lack of a better one- a main thing i think is that kdj simply does not expect anything from yjh. from the view of a regressor, through his regressions it is mentioned people held expectations of him. For anna croft he was tool, a companion, a necessary to end the scenarios. (okay anna croft and him is a whole thing) We can see this with the 1863Han Sooyoung. He was a tool to reach her desired ending. she turned the world against him to make her perfect ending. this is where kdj comes in, he doesnt expect anything from 1863yjh. after there fight and he is his depression, kdj does not make him do anything expect rest, he doesn't use him as a weapon. (sort of) ofc there is always the others (kimcom +) but they look up to him and expect things. While kdj doesnt really at all. I think kdj doesnt really see yjh as a person, charecter, or regressor, he is simply Yoo Joonghyuk. The man who protected his childhood and helped him survive. thats why I think at the end when sp asks him of his thoughts on his regressions. bc he knows that kdj will judge him based on him. his actons, his thoughts and feelings not any expectations forced upon himself. i have more thoughts but the is the gist of it-

A rant about Mamiya and Mikage cuz they are my hyperfixation now (alongside Tokiko)

Mikage: You will be the rose bride, Mamiya

Me: haha he Just called Mamiya a twink

Also me: even tho Mamiya suggests that he should be the rose groom since he is a guy, Mikage doesnt agree simply cuz he thinks that "bride" suits him more.

It could be because he thinks of Mamiya as too feminen to be a real man.

Could this means Mamiya is a trans man? Is that something Ikuhara is trying to hint at?

Does Mikage know this and still thinks of him as a girl in some way simply bcuz he can't see the change(the revolution) of Mamiya's gender as a real thing. Does he Just project Tokiko's image onto Mamiya and thats why he wants a bride specificly? Or is Mamiya who he projects onto Tokito? He has more emotional moments with Mamiya and is also closer to him.

Maybe he doesnt know Mamiya is trans and thats why he doesnt think its a big lead but it is a big deal to Mamiya.

Was Mikage like that even before Mamiya's death? Did he try to make him the rose bride and a tool for finding the eternity?

And what about Mamiya and his eternity? He was sick and in pain when the reaserch started. If his life became eternal, neverending, would his sickness too? Did Mikage ever think of that?

Mikage Also thinks that being the rose bride will bring Mamiya some sort of pleasure. He wants to make him HIS OWN rose bride. He doesnt even think for a moment that it doesnt work like that.

As we know, the rose bride is basicaly a doll, a puppet. Being anything LIKE a rose bride will only get you suffering, yet somehow, Mikage thinks he would be doing Mamiya a favor. Similarly to how Utena thinks that by becoming a prince(Someone "destined" to use the rose bride for his own gain) she will save Anthy. But both of these are selfish actions that will only bring even less freedom to the Ones they love.

Its also worth noting how Mikage, even tho he is this big child genius, knows nothing if what he is actualy doing.

Not to mention Himemiya was playing Mamiya this whole time.

He was made loser in this game before it even started. He too was a tool for grooming other kids at the academy since he himself was a lost cause(or at least that what he became at the end).

Mikage is only feeling real emotions when he is with Mamiya. But one emotion that he fell for the first time because of him is sadness.

Once he realised Mamiya is gone, he cried for the first time. Only then, when he allowed himself to mourn was he truly Also happy.

He was sad Mamiya was gone because he felt happy with him.

More Part 5 Lupin III Brainrot

I said in my FujiLup divorce rant that the divorce is why everyone is acting the way they are and I wanted to elaborate:

I swear the divorce is why Goemon is so easily coerced into fighting Lupin by Enzo. I swear it’s the divorce and the fact there is no way in hell Lupin or Fujiko talked to him about it.

Fujiko didn’t talk to anyone about it. She just made vague comments at Zenigata and half assumed Lupin told everyone their business.

Lupin only talked to Jigen about it. He wasn’t actually going around trying to air out his and Fujiko’s dirty laundry to the world, he just needed to talk to someone, and that someone was Jigen!

it’s why Jigen isn’t thrown off by the mind game bullshit! He knows where he and Lupin stand with eachother! Lupin came to him after the divorce!

Goemon, meanwhile, is totally in the dark! he has no clue what happened between Lupin and Fujiko after the wedding and doesn’t feel like it’s his place to ask! And Lupin thinks he doesn’t want to know, which is why he hasn’t told him!

So while Fujiko and Lupin are testing and reestablishing their boundaries, Goemon (who I will remind you DOESNT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLELOG WORKS) isn’t able to figure out the group dynamic anymore. He’s been trying to get answers, but the ones he’s getting don’t really answer his questions! And it’s Lupin’s own shitty explanation of how peoplelog works that convinces Goemon that he has to figure out where he stands.

And Goemon only knows how to do that one way because he wasn’t exactly taught emotional coping skills alongside how to kill people.

He challenges Lupin to a fight, and Lupin knowing his friend in that moment realizes just how confused and honestly kind of terrified Goemon is in this moment. That’s why he agrees. He doesn’t WANT to fight Goemon, but they’re past the point of talking him down the point to talk him down was weeks ago.

So they fight. Goemon wins.

And Goemon realizes two things:

One, he sees the phantom of himself a version of himself he’s been fighting against since he met Lupin the version that’s just a killer and that’s what he’s really fighting here. The fear that he’s just a tool to be used, even by his closest friends.

And Two, he just hurt one of the few people who took the time to see him as more than a weapon.

It’s why he drops Zantetsuken.

It’s why he refuses to even touch the blade, instead rushing to Lupin’s side and trying to undo even some of the damage he inflicted.

And it’s seeing that realization on Goemon’s face, seeing him come back to himself, that has Lupin smiling before he collapses. Because Lupin, no matter how selfish he can be, is willing to put himself through HELL for his people.

personally ive been thinking about the paranat characters as miraculous users since you assigned isabel as chat, and i think i have the activity club members (former and current) but only for the main 5 bc its been awhile and i don’t know what the new ones are or what they do

max would have the ladybug miraculous. i tried to think of any other of him bc i dont want it to be main character = main character, and while i think he would rock (and most likely want) the fox miraculous, he has been shown to be incredibly creative and adaptive in situations that just lends itself to the ladybug. creating his bus jumping plan in a few seconds (and it WORKING), figuring out how to take the ball and how it would bounce off him to end the game in hit ball, quickly trying to adapt what he had seen his spirit do briefly the night before… the boy is probably the one doing the most creative problem solving of all the kids. also then it creates the isabel+max partnering and contributes to ed’s insecurities about his and isabels relationship and isaacs one sided rivalry with her

ed feels like i should be saying the ladybug miraculous bc his tool is a paintbrush and he uses it to create weapons and objects, but really hes not one to lead or figure a battle strategy by himself and just going well he creates things :) feels like a weak argument. instead i see him with the fox miraculous, the powers allow him to still be creating things (albeit that only those in the spirit would would see) and we havent really seen him in fights too much but he seems like hed try to distract his enemy with whatever hes drawn if hes not outright attacking

dimitri seems like hed be an AMAZING leader. he is calculating, he was able to sense that the student councils plan wasnt going to work and quickly come up with his own plan AND get max and johnny + his crew to go along with it. but he is very methodical (and mathematical) in how he goes about it, seeming to view the battlefield as a 3d chessboard, which is why i dont think hed be a fit for the ladybug miraculous despite how creative he could get with his powers. instead i think hed be a good match for the turtle miraculous, defending and protecting others. math vs art, left brain vs right brain, concrete and tangible vs loose and abstract, it just feels more fitting

isaac is tougher. i would want to say the black cat miraculous bc i think thered be something to him having one of the strongest miraculous there is but being unable to control it and ending up destroying everything he touched, but thats not an option in this senario. instead i see him with the bee miraculous, bc the power can still be destructive if used incorrectly and i could see him lacking control and maybe his paralysis packing too much of a punch just like how his lightning does. i could see him complaining and thinking that hes being excluded bc of how his powers are more “evil” than everyone elses, and comparing himself to isabel bc her powers are also “evil” but everyone loves her, spinning himself out. maybe he badgers her bout how she doesnt understand how difficult it is to wield his miraculous and how she has it easy, maybe he does this enough that she gets frustrated and agrees to switch with him if it will get him to drop it only for her to easily master the bees powers and him to make a mistake and spin himself out even more. eventually they would try to come to a tense truce and he learns that there is no such thing as an “evil” miraculous

i wouldnt know what to give johnny so im not really going to try. i dont think the bee miraculous would be a good fit bc its precise while i cant see johnny being contained in any way. maybe the monkey? but i dont really remember what it does so i cant say whether it would really fit him or not

Caine- their name is Lycan! in all honesty he wouldnt bother picking his own name, BUT i need to continue his dog motif so theyre getting a unique one as a treat

Cyrus- hhhhh ok. see i can see cyrus taking up two different names– either puppeteer or heartbreak. im sticking with puppeteer for now but ill explain for both. on one hand, puppeteer really is the best way to describe his viewpoint at this point in time. hes the one pulling the strings here, and everybody else will play along. theyre nothing more than tools, puppets, putting on a show for his own amusement, and the fact hes known as a telepath really helps. on the other hand, i can see him using heartbreak as a way to kill sidestep all over again: the more the name heartbreak is used, the more the memory of sidestep dies. plus he sees himself as heartbreak 2.0– he uses the lessons he learned and channels it to the new an improved version, one who will finish what they started

Cecilia- Lupin! one, because the name was pretty, and two, because arsene lupin was the greatest fictional thief of all time, and she's confident she can live up to the name. shes just cocky like that LMFAO

Cynthia- at first i was certain that shed leave her name up to the press, but i think shed be a bit more hands on with how she comes across to the press, if only to further her goals. that said, she ended up deciding on the name Echo. she sees herself as a shadow of her former self, but with just enough intact to deliver a message, one that the people need to hear before its too late (love me my justice steps)

Caine- listen to me ok. listen to me. caine cannot introspect to save their fucking life. the only way hes learned how to place his own emotions is by using his telepathy to compare others emotions with his own. it helps them get through conversations with their head afloat, quickens decision making during fights, and most importantly, keeps them under the radar. he doesnt know what hed do without it. and even though hes the most prone to sensory overload, he wouldnt want to live without telepathy. hark is always there whenever they need some peace and quiet anyway.

Cyrus- he sees his telepathy as a weapon. one that gives him an upper hand in situations where fists wont help, so he can turn it more to his favour. but its a double edged sword, and sometimes it can be a hindrance more than a help. it made it harder to remain emotionally detached, especially from a certain someone whose thoughts never shut up. still, telepathy is a useful tool in his arsenal, one that he intends to use to the fullest

Cecilia- her telepathy is as much a part of her as a limb. yeah, she uses it a lot less than other steps, but its still something uniquely hers, and she cant imagine living without. or she can, but oh boy does she not like the image. she doesnt experience sensory overload much, so she tends to take comfort in crowds and noisy places, where she can pick apart the thoughts and emotions of the people around her, a bit like people watching, if you dont watch the people lmfao

Cynthia- ive said it before, but she has mixed feelings on her telepathy. shes grateful for it when used to feel other peoples emotions, because it grounds her in a way most other things cant. she also cant help but use it to make sure shes doing things right. but it still makes her feel guilty in a way she cant shake, like shes invading others privacy even when she cant help it. its part of the reason shes drawn to ortega– she doesnt have to worry about her telepathy causing unnecessary snooping into their thoughts

my xion headcanons... well first of all i love every reading of her character as a trans allegory & how people intepret her as either trans or nonbinary! i dont think it was done on purpose but shes been claimed by the commjnity and im so happy about it. transfem xion my beloved. second of all shes autistic TO ME but honestly everyone in soras heart hotel is so thats a given. third of all give me xion with big dark brown eyes or give me death!

what id like to see explored in future games / i fanwork: her identity! we see roxas's frustration and anger about being his own person plenty but we hardly see xion upset at her predicament. i think this is because she wants to do the right thing, not because shes okay with the situation. i really want to see xion's feelings about not having her own identity explored, given that everything about her is based on either sora or his memories of kairi and she was basically created in a lab as a tool for organization 13. she should feel weird about existing in the first place, especially next to roxas and naminé, who dont have the same history behind their creation

in addendum to that, i want to see xions character design change to something more unique. she already has a new outfit, but id love to see her have a new hairstyle (whether she grows it out or just puts it up) so she has something different than a mirror of kh1 kairi's hair. i think ive also mentioned that i think itd be interesting if xion had her own eye color after kh3 (side note its bullshit we never got to see her norted eyes in kh3. she shouldve played a bigger role in the story too but thats another rant) to symbolize that shes her own person now, not a puppet meant to copy sora. lastly she !!! deserves !!! her own keyblade!!! there's so many cool keyblades from days to choose from & theres the weapons from her boss fight - theres no reason for her to still be using the kingdom key and i really hope she gets her own soon.

to end i will discuss roxas and xion . they are like a little orange cat and a little black cat to me. halloween colored. theyre so small i love them so much. i imagine when xion first meets the twilight town gang shes jealous bc roxas has other friends :( but roxas assures her shes super duper special to him and no one else can take her place in his life. they have such a unique bond that i dont know if any of the other characters have with each other. just something so special about those two. when it feels like no one else understands they have each other... and i think that makes for some angst when xion struggles with her own issues that even roxas cant relate to

Because in canon context, I really don't know. Maybe read since he does that at least with war text. Also since he has a fascination with creatures in the prison, I would think maybe he's also into myths and legends. I could see him being a weapons enthusiast and perhaps a collector. But otherwise... he's a total gymbro. A gymbro with a few dogs, even if he doesn't have them yet in canon. He's also stupidly social, it seems, so probably hanging out with his friends and going out a lot. I could see him being into like camping, fishing, etc. So this is why I could see Lucien and him being really good friends if Cassian wasn't so moony-eyed over his incestuous circle.

Cooking is another hobby, that in canon and across all my fics, I think he has. That's just fact.

But in fics specifically, I usually make him have different hobbies even if I have not written them in yet. I always have a vague idea about his interests outside of the above, because in fics I like each Cassian to be a bit different than the last but not by much. So in my fics, it can be anything from being obsessed with crime podcasts to volunteering at the animal shelter to making pottery in between his manly man hobbies you know.

In A House Full of Spiders, for example, (a fic that will be posted for nessian week), he's into pottery since I wrote a head canon about that once and how Nesta can't keep her eyes off his hands when he's doing this. He like to make Nesta mugs since she has a collection. He makes her a mug shaped like a cauldron that has an engraving that says cauldron boil me on it (since I really want to make this mug but haven't). But he also makes Elain like trays for her gardening tools or plates for when she bakes. For Feyre, he makes like a dog treat holder, because he's still convinced Feyre has a dog but it's really Rhys in disguise.

In Stu(died), he's an animal enthusiast lmao since he likes taming the feral. Which if I wrote the next two chapters you would see since he helps out in a particular animal situation when Feyre comes to visit for winter break. He volunteers at the shelter. Also his hobby is also like... doing what his little sister wants. So he tends to drive her around lmao and they have their seasonal science museum visits. His hobby then would be being a good brother, which makes sense why he's so easily transitions to a good boyfriend. I'll actually start writing this fic again probably in October. It's in its winter period right now and I tend to write seasonally.

I won't go on. But basically Cassian has hobbies. I just like them to be beyond the "oh big brute. I eat meat and fuck all night and punch people for funseys" which is an exaggeration but nevertheless what I mean.

meanwhile number 1 is overconfident

clearly boasting that he doesnt need a weapon his power comes from his own body

he looks cocky. hes the leader and there is nothing 2 can do about it

hes the one dads most proud of

she forced it

she rumored her father (not that i blame her)

she isnt facing forward (though this might be for aesthetic purposes as 4 is also facing outward)

The Mighty Nein: Tickle Headcanons

no one asked for this but I liked making the TAZ headcanons so much I did it anyway. 

the mighty nein from most ticklish to least ticklish

Caleb

A ticklish baby, he thought he grew out of it in the years since his academy days, but alas. He is ticklish everywhere, it cannot be helped. His worst worst spot (not a hot take at all) is the tops of his ribs, he cannot handle it. He’s definitely the number one victim of tickle attacks out of the nein, they all love getting their wizard to laugh. Caleb is a bit new to tickling, it's been a good long while since he’d known positive touch, but he warms up to it quickly. 

He cannot ler to save his life, lord knows he’s tried, he’s just so bad at it. It’s very very rare he gets the actual confidence to do a good job and it crumbles the minute revenge is even thought of

Essek 

Second most ticklish of the nein, and who’s surprised? It has to be a wizard thing. His worst spot is probably his hips or his legs, though his feet are definitely bad. He thinks tickling is so undignified, he says he’d rather fight a dragon solo, but the nein can see right through his lies. He not so secretly loves it. 

His ears twitch if you tickle anywhere near them and it’s adorable.

He is a better ler than Caleb but only marginally. Mostly because he’s so damn easy to overpower, just flops right over and takes it.

Fjord

He says he’s not ticklish but he’s also really bad at keeping the fact that he’s stupid ticklish a secret. His stomach and sides are 100% a weak spot, and is actually one of his favorites too. He didn’t really even know he was ticklish until he met Jester and the nein. 

This man can Tease, his ticking skills need some work, but he more than makes up for it with the teasing, it’s inescapable and no one is immune, NO ONE. 

Molly

Ticklish and loves it, he is a little slut for tickles and we love him for it. His back, tail and hips are definitely the worst. He says his hips are, but it’s only because he can’t handle his back and tail being tickled, he just becomes a pile of purple goo. 

The biggest ler next to jester, his tail is a weapon and he knows it. It's surprisingly effective as a tickle tool, just pointed enough, but not sharp, it feels similar to a pen or a chopstick. Even without his tail, he is killer, he knows everyone’s spots by heart and he could rival Fjord at teasing, and when he teams up with Jester, with the traveler as their witness no one goes untickled.

Jester

In comparison to some of her teammates she’s not all that ticklish, pretty much right in the middle. Her thighs and her stomach are the worst spots, though her tail is also pretty ticklish. She is very very comfortable with tickling, she has absolutely no shame, I am HERE for the “all tieflings are knismos” agenda, and Jester was raised by her mumma, who is equally shameless about tickling. She simply cannot be flustered by it, the only one to have succeeded in getting her flustered is Fjord. 

The undefeated tickle queen of the nein. Any tickle fight she wants to win, she will win. She loves tickling others as much as she loves being tickled, and frankly Adores how squirmy non-tieflings are on the topic. She could just talk about it for hours, but everyone but Molly always gets so red, she thinks it's funny. 

Beau

She will eat you alive, don't touch her. She's only ticklish in a few spots, her sides being the number one spot. But for the first little while she did not let the nein even close to tickling her. But once Jester gave her some puppy dog eyes she couldn't say no anymore. Don't let that fool you she absolutely loves it, she just isn't used to it, and was way too attached to looking tough. 

A wicked ler, she will absolutely use her monk shit, and paralyze her lee. She's really rough, and it can be unpleasant, but fjord, caduceus and yasha have been working to get her to be a little softer. 

Caduceus 

Mr zen cow man I loooovve you. He's not very ticklish, but his ears and neck can really get him giggling. His hands are surprisingly sensitive too. He’s used to his siblings knowing exactly how to get him to scream, so he’s not exactly threatened by the nein, he just lets them go for it, hes ticklish enough to satiate their curiosity without finding any of his bad spots, but he can also just pick up the ler and turn the tables just that easy. 

He's a really soft ler, and specializes in sleepy cuddly tickles. Plus he is so big and fluffy that he can just give his lee butterflies with, like, no effort. Up until when caduceus tried tickling him, no one knew essek could purr. 

Yasha 

She's not very ticklish, but if she's tired and off her guard, her stomach can get her giggling a little. It makes her a little sad she isn't as ticklish as some of the others, but she's more than willing to make up for that by being the ler. 

Another soft ler, she doesnt know her own strength, so she's extra careful with tickling. It's almost unbearable how soft she is, unlike caduceus, her soft tickling is the kind that lights every nerve up with lighting, and goodness she teases, though she isn't particularly smooth it’s all so endearing mixed with the unbearably soft tickling, she is one of the best lers in the nein, up there with Molly and Jester. 

Veth

Veth is not ticklish at all, and she lords this over the rest of the nein by being the biggest shit. She's little and hard to catch and she uses this to her advantage, anyone with a tickle spot from hips down is in danger of random attacks, and spots higher than that are susceptible to mage hand attacks. And the best(worst) part is that no one can get her back, since she is not ticklish in the slightest. (unless you are Yeza, in which case he knows her one secret spot and has been sworn to secrecy on it)

First off im so sorry this took four (4) business days to answer anyway THANKS FOR LETTING ME TALK ABOUT BLORBO THE 2ND💙

5) On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

One item we know for sure he canonically carried was that little telescope in mk11, and he does have those little knives on his belt, which Im not sure actually have their use, so its headcanons from now on:

I think on an average day, Sub Zero may not even have pockets, or doesnt use them, cause hes the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei so if he needs something, it will brought to him, or taken away when he ask for it. Missions would be different, but still, hes not heavy on objects, cause having too much can put you off balance when you fight I imagine, so: save from those little knives he carry (just in case of... something I imagine?), he doesnt need any weapons because he can just materialize whatever he wants from ice in his hands... ice is his greatest multi-tool actually, it take care of almost everything his (old) assassin job required: target in sight? Make an ice dagger. Door locked? Freeze and punch the handle. Injured? Freeze the wound. I still think he would carry some minimal first aid kit for the latter, again just in case, but emphasis on the minimal: needle, wire, maybe bandages. Can also double as a sewing kit if he need to fix his clothes. Only thing ice cant do is making you see far so thats why he carry the telescope. He DOES strikes me as the kinda guy who get emotional over special items tho so maybe he would carry something he has an attachment to if its small and/or practical enough, maybe thats why he carry the knives.

6) Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?

Canonically, the only times dreams are involved in Sub Zero's story is one in the mkx comics where he wakes up from a pretty vivid nightmare (that basically recap his story from him about to kill scorpion and then getting teleported and cyberized in mk9 all the way to him getting resurrected in mkx), and another one in a shared intro with Raiden in mk11 where they both had a strange dream about "a strange and unjust world with a dark knight and a caped wonder" (debunked by Cetrion in another intro where she tells Subz that it was no dream). Anyway the latter is just a cheeky lil nod to Injustice so its not to take too seriously. Other than that theres not much in canon concerning Sub Zero's dreams.

As for my personal thoughts, I dont think Sub Zero dream much in general honestly, for a variety of reasons. I think he has a very light, survival oriented, sleeping pattern, staying up as late as possible until exaustion get the better of him, and you dont really get dreams out of a rest like that. Then, (and especially nowadays), if he DOES dream it would most likely be unpleasant considering the amount of stress and trauma hes had in his life and naturally I dont think hes looking very forward to that so thatd be another reason to delay sleep, also nightmares are more question 7's thing.

But if he does get dreams sometimes, and should they have a reccuring theme, at the risk of giving the boring answer, its gotta be about ice and the general cold, cause of course the element of which he has the mastery of, which he uses to defend his life with, of which he has 5 puns at the ready at all time, and which is like, His Whole Thing, would bring him comfort. I think his most peaceful dreams would be accompagned with gentle snow falling in the background, whatever they are about. Probably his family. Or Tomas! They would also be very bright, cause yknow, reflective white snow and the likes (but then if hes unlucky itd turn into static snow and it ends into one of many themed nightmares whoops. Subz has a lot of things to process). Anyway to conclude I dont see Sub Zero as someone with particularly thrilling dreams packed with themes and symbolism, just having a full night feeling safe and free of nightmares based on or twisting memories would be enough.

10) Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?

Sadly theres nothing in canon concerning this so lets just jump straight to headcanons

TAKE A WILD GUESS

in both timelines, mf left the shirt as soon as possible once the old lin kuei was no longer in the picture, tits out tuesday every day of the week from that point on, god bless. But more seriously I hc that Kuai has some funky cryomancer biology going on, so for him the world is hotter than for anyone else, which is kinda ironic considering his (old) job required him to be heavily dressed with hood and mask and everything. He would have ways to cool himself down with his own powers but that still would mean making an (tho barely noticable) effort to remain at a comfortable temperature, when you can do that by just taking your shirt off once youre free to do so cause nobody can tell you what to do anymore.

22) What does your character like in other people?

So like most things, theres no clear cut canon indication written somewhere so its interpretation time:

A lot of his intros are about this so OR COURSE he likes people with honor and integrity. He was raised in the Lin Kuei which we can safely guess was quite the strict place, so of course he would be used to rules and be comfortable when theres structure, but somehow he mostly took to heart the good aspects of it, so of course he would like people with strong morals and an equally strong sense of duty, and keeping true to oneself.

Also as seen in quite a few of his intros, he seems to admire good leadership, and not in a "people he want to follow" way but more like, fellow leaders yknow? Because I dont think becoming grandmaster himself has EVER been in his end goals before but he was duty bound to redeem the Lin Kuei as the last true one after the cyber initiative, so I imagine him being put in a leading position was not a natural transition for him, despite his found affinity for teaching as he would find later in his life, hence why he would "look up" for lack of better words, to other people with leadership status in his life, like jax, sonya, and perhaps hanzo.

This one would fit his Lin Kuei upbringing but of course he value strength in other people, "only the strongest join the Lin Kuei" didnt leave his mindset but now its aimed to protect first and foremost, yourself, your clan, and your realm.

He also seems surprisingly fine with ambition, he did say that "loyalty shouldnt stunt one's growth" and considering his history in the Lin Kuei (esp after the cyber initiative and what he thinks of it) itd make sense.

I also kinda got the vibe that hes fine with ambition but not in a competitive way, more in a "better oneself" way than seeking to be above others in one way or another (he was fine with Frost's ambition, he intended to pass the mantle of grandmaster to her, but it was her impatience and lack of wisdom that eventually strained their relationship). I guess this one falls into him valuing strength again. But this also fot his role as a teacher now: of course youd enjoy someone who know their place but still seek to learn and improve.

Anyway I think Subz is a fair straight guy who enjoy people with a similar mindset, despite yknow, what I never shut up about

23) What does your character dislike in other people?

opposite of whats above lol. Impatience, as said with Frost. Definitely lack of discipline or downright foolishness, Jonnhy Cage only gets a pass from getting iced because theyre allies and probably have been so for years. He has a few lines about it so its safe to say he cant stand cockiness, or people getting way too over their heads because of their own power. Subz is a man with diamond hard principles so hes not big on lone wild cards as well Im betting. Bad Bosses too, Subz wants to lead by inspiring respect and value honesty so of course leaders like Shao Kahn and Sektor who led with cruelty and lies and fear would revulse him. Also hes NOT fond or authority figures somehow higher than him aka Gods, the Lin Kuei did not/do not worship them for starters, tho Raiden kinda gets a pass because hes an ally to Earthrealm, theyre equals in its protection tho Raiden is stronger, and also saved his life once so Subz is indebted but its not like he actively look up to the guy, except in a literal sense cause Raiden is stupid tall.

okay im gonna shove what i wrote last night under a read more but i was thinking a lot about the ideas of how the harbingers are all like. people who have been reborn and they all have three names with their original names discarded long ago to become someone who is more cruel and cold and safe but childe is like the only one weve seen who's kept those ties to his family but he still isn't the son they knew and raised and kghfdkjghd yeah. yeah

hhhnng thinking about how a boy named Ajax fell into hell and died there in all ways but literal. found by a walking mystery of a woman he was crafted into warrior just like his Greek namesake and reborn into someone the same but so different. when he came back after three months of battles and forced to change in order to survive, his family had been looking for their son for three days and here comes this unrecognizable child with dead eyes whose interest can only be held by challenge and conflict.

when he was old enough his parents encourage him to leave and be gone and become a weapon for their god to use as she pleases. how that god looked upon him and he knew she was somehow fierce and cold but so soft and warm, and I wonder if everyone can see both sides of her or if it’s because he knows what it’s like for an event to flip your very being. that you and your past self are two sides of the same coin and you are so desperate to never go through such a terrible shift that uproots your life again you kill your past self and now you have turned yourself into a paradox of the self and are incomplete but at least you are safe!!

angst in which you feel as if shouto doesnt truly love you. happy(ish) ending.

warnings: angst. heartbreak. arguing; bordering physical/verbal abuse. false accusations of cheating. reconciliation. two fools in love who just need help sorting their jumbled brains.

“shouto.. you dont love me, do you?”

the world around you was drowned out by the echoing of blood pumping in your ears. your body felt hot, and there was a nervous ache in your chest. you tried to ignore the trembling of your hands, the way your legs felt like jelly, or the building of tears on your waterline as you stood before him.

he slowly blinked as he turned his head to look at you.

“what?”

the way he looked so lost, sitting there on the couch, made your anxiety build as you took a breath and repeated yourself.

“do you even love me?”

his brow lowered, a slight crease in his flawless skin forming. he spoke slowly.

“of course i love you. what made you think i dont?”

you couldnt hold eye contact much longer, eyes darting away, your bottom lip caught between your teeth. you felt sick to your stomach. you didnt want to tell him, but.. it was for the best. you know that. how do you expect anything to change if you dont confront him and let him know?

there was silence. you didnt want to speak, fearful of what meaningless insults might leave your mouth if you did. you were angry, you were embarrassed, you were so fucking tired.

you waited for him to continue.

you were trembling violently, eyes glued to the tatami mats he had installed in your shared home himself. rage was boiling inside you, masking the churn of anxiety and heartbreak in your stomach. you hated that you lashed out when you were hurting. you couldnt stop yourself.

“you fucking coward. you call yourself a hero? you cant even defend your own fucking wife.”

your head snapped up, fists balled at your sides, the tears unstoppable as they blurred your vision too much to see his shock. you choked back a sob, baring your teeth in malice as you hurled the most hurtful words your frazzled mind could come up with.

“i should have never expected you to be capable of loving me. after all, you were never anything more than a tool for your father’s success. what more could a weapon like you do?”

the moment the words registered in your mind, you were filled with regret. you didnt mean it. of course you didnt mean it, you loved him more than life itself— hes your fucking husband! you never saw him as any of the horrid things leaving your mouth. you loved him to death; you were so sure of your long lasting marriage. you wanted to have a family with him one day!

you fucking despised yourself. you know you were only saying these things out of hurt, you know you lashed out as a defense mechanism— but he didnt. he didnt know you didnt mean it. he didnt know you spoke before thinking. he didnt know you were broken. he didnt know about the abuse you’ve gone through in the past.

you did. but at this point, your past only felt like an excuse. and preying on your husbands insecurities because you felt cornered was no fucking excuse. there will never be an excuse for this.

everything happened so fast.

in a blur, he was suddenly on you— his hands brushed against your throat, his eyes dark and his teeth gritted. the muscles of his jaw flexed and tensed as he seemed to be debating going through with it.

you swallowed against his flaring hands.

he took heavy breaths, before his hands dropped to his sides, and he hung his head.

it was silent. you breathed slowly, having held your breath as his hands threatened you.

“..im sorry.”

he was so quiet, you nearly missed it.

“im.. im sorry too,” you whispered, silent tears slipping down your already stained cheeks.

another bout of silence ensued as he turned his head, staring at your hand through the curtain of bangs surrounding his face. your hand twitched involuntarily.

“we..” he trailed off. his eyes stayed on your hands.

they were so delicate. so small. so soft, and he couldnt help but think of all the times hes held them. without thinking, his hand reached out to hold yours, ever so gently.

you almost pulled away. almost.

“i.. i never meant to hurt you. and i would never think of leaving you, love. i was never aware of that woman. i have a team of people who manage my twitter account for publicity. and as for bakugou, and the other woman at the restaurant.. i swear to do my best to stand up for you more often. im sorry im so dense at times.”

you squeezed his hand, and his eyes flitted up to meet yours, shining with guilt and sorrow. yours must have reflected his.

“i didnt mean it. i dont think that of you, shou. i never will. youre not a coward, and youre not your father’s tool. i— i was just hurt. and i lash out when im hurt, because in the moment, all i can think of is hurting them back. to make them hurt as much as i am. im so sorry, baby..”

he let out a slow breath, shutting his eyes for a moment. when he opened them, he looked more solemn, but overall seemingly relieved to know you didnt mean those words. he stepped closer to you, pulling you into his chest and gently wrapping you in his embrace.

he was trembling.

“i understand. i would never hurt you, either— but in that moment, i was in so much pain, the anger..”

“was just too much. it took over,” you finished. “i know. i understand. im the same way.”

silence enveloped the two of you as you silently reconciled, breathing in the scent of one another.

it wasnt until he pulled away to look at you that the silence was broken.

he cupped your cheeks. “you were abused too, werent you.”

it wasnt a question; but a statement— and a statement that melted through that barrier of secrecy you had been harboring, urging a whole new wave of tears to come flooding.

all you could do was nod, soft sobs wracking your body and interfering with your speech.

he shushed you softly, pulling you back in to let you cry into his chest. “its okay,” he whispered. “its okay. i know, baby.. i know.”

when you were done, you were hiccuping, and there was no doubt your face would be puffed up.

Here it is! Before we get into it I'd just like to say that I sent this all in discord and so i dont use the most academic language and i also had to cut out some bits where I was speaking/replying to friends :)

Okay so maybe Yang and Blake are just good friends, I can see that, but the storyline and all their major character events are so intertwined that it wouldnt make sense not to make them a couple

Spoilers for literally everything

But in my defense its been seven years

Anyway Yang and Blake's stories dont start getting seriously interconnected until around volume 3, but we do see them being closer to eachother than the rest of team rwby (save for Yang and Ruby but they're sisters so it doesnt count)

When Blake is stressed out over the White Fang in Volume 2, it takes Yang to snap her out of it

Also a lot of people have mentioned this but I'm gonna say it again for those who havent heard it but colours and weapons matter in rwby. They're a key element in the show

Colours play a big part in the design and storytelling aspect and rwby and its no coincidence that Yang eyes are purple and Blakes are yellow, which are eachothers like signature colours outside of Blakes black

But even more than that is weapons

As we learn from Ruby in the first Volume, a lot of students make their own weapons and, as it is constantly reiterated, weapons are an extension of the self in RWBY. They're not just a tool to be tossed around

In the show we see little instances of people interacting with and using other peoples weapons. There's that one scene where Ruby uses one of Penny's swords to defend Pyrrah, but that was out of necessity. however, over and over again we see Yang interacting with Blake's weapon, Gambol Shroud

As someones mentioned before, an entire moveset of theirs is dependent on it

So it's clear that these two characters are incredibly close

Moving on from that point, Id like to analyze the incidents thst occur in volume 3 and following events that further Yang and Blakes connection

In volume 3 after Yang "breaks" Mercurys leg due to Emeralds illusion, she sits in the dorm room surrounded by her teammates, yet the scene singles out Yang and Blake. When Yang asked if they (her team) believed her, Ruby and Weiss are ready to say yes, but Blake hesitates. Yang and Blake then share a moment where Blake explains that shes trusted people before who turned out to be cruel. She asks Yang to look her in the eyes and tell her that she (Yang) is telling the truth. Yang does so and Blake believes her this level of affirmation from one another is so unlike the rest of Team RWBY and even Team JNPR

Ofc in the dorm scene the person Blake is talking about is Adam, her abusive and possessive ex. Obviously your relationship with an abusive person effects any and all interactions/relationships, regardless of their extent, but I think it bears mentioning

Continuing on in the events of volume 3 when Beacon is being attacked and Blake is confronted by Adam, he has her pinned down and says something along the lines of "I am going to destroy everything that you love". Unfortunately this is when Yang happens to stumble into the scene. Horror is prominent on Blakes face. Yang sees Adam over Blake and yells at him before charging forward, which is when Adam cuts her arm off. It's a very emotional scene imo. Blake then uses her semblance to get her and Yang to safety

So let's analyze this

Adam specifically singled Yang out

Ofc yang was the only one there at the time but Adam didnt say "starting with your little teammates" he said "starting with her". Ofc this could just be me cherrypicking but I think that word choice has meaning

Regardless, this is an intense moment for Yang and Blake that really welds their stories together, romantic or not

In volume 4 Yang and Blake take a break from one another-- Jk but theyre separated. After the events at Beacon, and especially after what happened to Yang, Blake runs. And we get to see both women dealing with this and trying to come to terms with it. Yang is bitter. She's angry that Blake, specifically, left her. And Blake feels like she had to run away to keep everyone, specifically Yang, safe

In Volume 5 we dont get much interaction at all between Yang and Blake aside from the same feelings represented in Volume 4, but these are put on the back burner for Blakes White Fang arc

However these feelings take a forward play in Yangs mind and she even voices these feelings to Weiss and Ruby

I take a deep breath

Volume 6, Blake and Yang are together again but tensions are high. They have to learn how to be together again. When Blake and Yang finally have alone time in the shed, Blake expresses how she won't leave, which comforts Yang. However, Blake continues on to say how she will protect Yang to which Yang gets mad and the moment is ruined.

Despite this, Yang and Blake are still going strong and trying to make things work by being there and supporting each other

Yang and Blake's arc for Volume 6 reaches its peak in the fight against Adam. In this fight we see both women fighting the actual source of their trauma. One thing id like to note about this fight is that Blake starts it alone but is joined by Yang, who tells her to catch her breath. This fight is the first major fight Blake and Yang have fought together in a long time. And its amazing. During the fight, Adam screams at Yang in anger and jealousy, asking "WHAT DOES SHE SEE IN YOU?" And saying that she (Blake) cant protect Yang to which Blake replies "I'm not protecting her. And she's not protecting me." MIRRORING the conversation in the shed

the fight ends with Yang and Blake stabbing Adam through with Gambol Shroud, killing him

Now theres some little things id like to point out with this fight, aside from the amazing chemistry between Blake and Yang and the awesome choreography

Its during this fight that we learn about Adams semblance (magic power basically), which is that any hit he absorbs with his sword, he can return with greater force. This is a corruption of Yang's semblance, where any hit she takes herself she can return with greater force

Now why do I think this is significant? Because rwby is all about symbolism. I think Adam's semblance was specifically chosen to mirror Yangs. Adam doesnt have to deal with pain, he just deflects it, which is how his relationship with Blake plays out. She tries to let him off easy, she tells him to leave her alone, but he just can't take the hint, just like he can't take a hit. However, Yang does take the hits. Yang takes them all and it makes her stronger. She empathizes with Blake and works with her. Adam doesnt have to deal with the pain his actions cause because he doesnt care. This reflects Yangs extremely empathetic personality. Yang knows what consequences her actions can have. She can take the pain

Another thing id like to point out is Adam's behaviour during the fight. He lashes out as Yang for getting in between Blake and him, blaming her for his flaws. He targets her just like in Volume 3. I think this was done purposefully

Another thing is Yang runs Bumblebee off the cliff to help Blake! Her bike! I think this is important bc yang loved her bike. It was part of her brand for the longest time. Perhaps running it off the cliff in the fight vs Adam is a nod to growing by letting things go? Idk I just feel like its an important beat

In Volume 7 we see Yang and Blake working together more regularly again with even a few flustered glances (maybe). Marrow even mentions that they never pair up with anyone else to which they respond with a cool fight scene this feels like the extent of their interaction since Volume 7 focuses more on ruby

Volume 8 isnt finished but there is one line that I think is important which is when Yang asked Jaune if "she'll think bad of me if we fail?" To which Jaune responds "Ruby's your sister" and Yang says "yeah... Ruby..." LIKE EXCUSE ME?

ANOTHER THING

Adam BREAKS Gambol Shroud during their fight, mirroring how Yang, once again, works with Blake and Gambol Shroud. This is yet another example of Adam being violent and abusive towards Blake where Yang is sympathetic and kind. Theyre set up to be narrative opposites

Even though both Adam and Yang are both hot heads, utilize a similar semblance, and both have a deep connection with Blake, they are not the same bc Yang trusts and appreciates Blake while Adam does not

Also Adam and Yang both share the same sentiment of "Blake left me" but whereas Adam lashes out at Blake, Yang is mostly frustrated. Unlike Yang, Adam never attempts to work it out with Blake, which is where the two differ greatly. Yang is willing to listen whilst Adam is not

Owada Monda: I 🥺 I think a lot about how Owada said he would give up his talent and become a carpenter in the Escape Button Ending. It feels so right. He's letting go of the past and his guilt to live a new life.

Ishimaru Kiyotaka: ishimaru likely fears that breaking the rules will lead you on the wrong path like his grandfather, so his obsession comes from a sense of protecting. He likely would panic if he ever broke a real, feeling like himself is becoming a bad person.

Fujisaki Chihiro (note: i use all pronouns for fujisaki): i think its really tragic how Fujisaki's father died before finding out what happened to his kid. He clearly loved Fujisaki, and accepted that she presented as female wholeheartedly. To die without ever knowing...even if the truth is gruesome...

Celestia Ludenburg: this might be TOO obvious but for Celeste to rewrite her entire identity into this character she must have a of insecurities. We know she wanted more than anything to feel special. I like to think that overtime with her friends she becomes more comfident in herself while also keeping the gothic lolita look simply because she likes it

Yamada Hifumi: a lot of people like to call Yamada a creep and nothing else and I am here to dispel such claims. He is not the best written character but. I think a lot of people are too harsh on him. Think about it, for Yamada to know Celeste's real name she had to have geniunely bonded with him. But her selfish dream was more important. The picture of what good, teasing friends they were hurts me because they became anything but in the killing game. Yamada just wanted to help her achieve her dream and serve her. Without asking for favors in return mind you. He knew he would die for her selfish dream. I think that as much as he wanted to help her...he was too ugly for her :(

Ikusaba Mukuro: Think about how fuc ked up her life is. And I dont just mean all the Enoshima stuff. I'm talking about her talent. Most Ultimates at HPA were trained young and Ikusaba is no exception. She saw death and murder and knew how to kill from a very young age. She says she had an interest but...she was a child man! And she's easy to manipulate because she sees herself as a weapon and a tool to be ordered around.

Maizono Sayaka: idk if this is true. But every time I've played drthh the first gift I always got the everlasting friendship bracelet first. And...that was the first gift I ever got. And i gave it to Maizono. And now I always give it to her. It kinda feels like its HER gift to me. I remember first playthrough I got the bracelet again and...I felt this "oh..." moment as I remembered what happened. I couldn't and still cannot give that gift to anyone else. I like to think that as Maizono was dying, she had the bracelet in her pocket and remembered who she betrayed and was dooming. She wrote out "LEON" while thinking of Naegi, wishing she hadn't let her fear get the best of her.

Fukawa Toko: Fukawa likely has feelings for Togami BECAUSE hes an ashole. We know that Fukawa is a self proclaimed mas ochist but I think theres more here. Fukawa idolizes love but has never had it go well for her, having been unwanted from birth. So many guys have tricked her by claiming to like her only to ditch her as a joke. Togami tells her straight up that she's disgusting. In her eyes if she can get Togami to admit he loves her...it's a GUARANTEE. Nothing will backstab her after that. (Also 🥺 i think a lot about how her only friend/loved one is a stinkbug)

Kuwata Leon: i aint touching his past. Shiits weird with his cousin man. We instead gonna just say Kuwata probably got a lot of injuries since hes reckless and doesnt really care about baseball too much. He wants to be a musician partially to express his emotions and frustrations. As the music duo I think he and Maizono used to be really really close before the game.

Asahina Aoi: I firmly believe that Asahina will not be able to move on and date anyone in the future. Ogami was the one. That was her Sakura-chan. She may have accepted her death, but the only way she's getting in a relationship again is in the afterlife when she meets back up with Ogami.

Ogami Sakura: A big source of inspiration for Ogami to become not just stronger but embrace her feminine side comes from her first love, Kenshiro. If you don't know: Kenshiro was the strongest man in the world, stronger than Ogami, but fell to terminal illness. Ogami promised him when he beat his illness she would beat him fair and square. Because of this I feel like her feelings for Asahina must have come with a bit of conflict. Kenshiro means so much to her, but Asahina also means so much to her. Unfortunatly she died before she could figure it out, but she accepted that she loved the both of them.

Hagakure Yasuhiro: I think that Hagakure had a REALLY REALLY good relationship with his mom. The entire time game and after hes thinkin about his mom. He wants more than anything after surviving to find her. Dead or alive. If shes dead he wants to say goodbye properly.

overcooked!! that’s the exact game i was thinking of. while they are insanely well in sync irl i simply think overcooked is a HELL game (but i love it) and i cannot imagine things would go fantastically... at least not at first. i can totally see nicky nitpicking the cooking process (“you can’t just put tomatoes in a pot on the stove and call that soup!!!”) i do think that maybe certain duos are better at it (as much as i ADORE joenicky i do think it would be funny if they just. couldn’t figure it out together. however i want to say joe and nile could possibly be a power duo at overcooked.) i suppose on the other hand i could also see nicky being insanely good at overcooked (and nile and nicky could be another potential power duo in overcooked)

i would absolutely KILL to see the guard playing minecraft. i feel like that’s definitely smth that nile would at least Know Of? i feel like joe would love minecraft (a great outlet for creativity- i feel like he would just go Ham in creative mode- nile tells him about pixel art and he resigns himself to making a pixel art portrait of nicky.) i can totally see nicky absolutely loving farming and the animals. and andy i truly feel would have a personal vendetta against every monster. she dies CONSTANTLY because she picks fights with Every Monster. (her favorite tool/weapon is, of course, an axe.) i have no thoughts on booker. nile of course has the most knowledge of the game and probably is the most well rounded at it? i also don’t know what quynh would think of it when she inevitably returns. - 2ta

honestly yeah i kinda agree with the idea of them not loving shooter games- idk i have mixed feelings on it. on one hand it could be a good like no risk training thing for them now that andy is mortal? but at the same time i dont think it would be their go to gaming choice. i def love the idea of them playing more light-hearted and/or wackier video games more. - 2ta

!!! the unexpected OP overcooked duo is booker and nicky. no one could have predicted how well they work together. its bizzare. but yes joe and nicky cant sync up for the life of them for some reason. and andy just cant work well with any of the others. she just tries to do everything herself instead of sticking to one task
