Chapters: 10/? Fandom: Danny Phantom, Batman - All Media Types Rating: Not Rated Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence Relationships: Danny Fenton & Damian Wayne, Batfamily Members & Danny Fenton Characters: Danny Fenton, Bruce Wayne, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth Additional Tags: Good Sibling Damian Wayne, Angst, Angst with a Happy Ending, Danny Fenton and Damian Wayne are Twins, Danny Fenton Needs A Hug, Implied/Referenced Torture, Implied/Referenced Child Abuse, Not Phantom Planet Compliant (Danny Phantom), Bad Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton, Gun Violence, Blood and Violence, Gunshot Wounds, Mugging, Medical Torture, Vivisection, Panic Attacks, Anxiety Attacks, Child Neglect, Past Child Abuse Summary:
“If you ever find yourself in danger, go to Bruce Wayne. He will help you.”
His mother had loved him, in her own way. If she hadn’t, she wouldn’t have helped him escape. If she hadn’t, she would have dragged him back to the League of Assassins, to Grandfather. If she hadn’t, he’d be dead.
She loved him, but she loved the League more.
Jack and Maddie Fenton loved him too, they did, but they loved their work more.
They loved their work more.
--
After his parents react poorly to his reveal, Danny escapes to the only person he thinks can help him - Bruce Wayne. He doesn't know what to expect when he gets there, but it has to be better than where he is, surely? He certainly doesn't expect to be reunited with his long lost twin brother Damian. It's funny how things work out that way.
Danny is 16 years old, not Phantom Planet compliant

Is it possible to have🍕❤️🌂🍎🧠💎💀🎓 for everyone including yourself? Please -sarah
Sure! I wasn't sure if by 'yourself' you meant me, as the writer, or the MC, so I just went with MC since I'm not really an OC LMAO
Ask Game for the ROs (and the MC!)
Alceste
🍕 - Alceste's favorite food is probably some kind of roasted game-y meat dish. Think like venison or pheasant.
❤️ - Probably when he went to the Shorelands with his family after Orin was born. He had begged his mothers to take him and his sisters to the Shorelands and they said no, but after Orin was born, they surprised him and his sisters and took them there.
🌂 - I was going to say romance, maybe, but decided against it. He's right where he should be.
🍎 - Fantastic. Claudia and Regina are great mothers to Alceste and his siblings.
🧠 - He's so nuanced, he honestly seems to have a life of his own! Every time I sit down to write him, I learn more about him that I didn't even know about LMAO!
💎 - Maybe if there's demand for a sequel, but not in the first book.
💀 - Snakes. Alceste HATES snakes.
🎓- About... a month or so? He's newer than some of the other characters!
Larisilla
🍕 - Fruity Chocolatey Desserts. Larisilla has a horrible sweet tooth, probably worse than Enyo!
❤️ - When her mother got her her first sword. Larisilla was probably about 12 and she was so happy.
🌂 - Something that involves fighting. A more serious fantasy with more fighting would be ideal.
🍎 - Larisilla and Eunomia get along fantastically. Larisilla and Deimus? Bad. Horrible. 0/10.
🧠 - She's easy to write. Writing for her is so smooth it's like water. Unfortunately, it's easier for me to write her than come up scenarios for her.
💎 - Haha, so... slight spoiler! Larisilla doesn't die, but you can lose her permanently from the group.
💀 - Spiders.
🎓- About the same time as Alceste. They were created together like the worst pair of twins to be thought of ever LMAO
Dionys
🍕 - Honestly, I'm not sure! I don't think Dionys has one.
❤️ - Graduating from the Hall of Scholars or becoming Head Scholar.
🌂 - Dionys would probably work better in a true mystery genre, but he's here so he just has to deal!
🍎 - Eh. Well enough. Dionys wasn't really raised by his parents, mainly his Aunt Erato, so they don't really have any relationship to speak of.
🧠 - Dionys is another interesting character to write!
💎 - Nope.
💀 - Dionys doesn't have any phobias, but he's easily grossed out.
🎓- A little less than Alceste and Larisilla. Probably only by like a week, though.
Somnia
🍕 - Somnia is a fan of any kind of cooking from her home village, specifically her mother's.
❤️ - Probably when her parents took her to go fishing! The Fieldlands sustain themselves on fishing and farming, so Somnia enjoyed the day out!
🌂 - Somnia probably belongs in a true fantasy romance genre.
🍎 - She had a wonderful relationship with her parents! She's still close with her mother!
🧠 - Not sure! She's different than the rest, so it's a bit harder to figure out!
💎 - I've considered it, but decided not to.
💀 - She doesn't really have any!
🎓- Around the same time as Dionys and the others.
Enyo
🍕 - Desserts. There's a reason their knives all are named after them.
❤️ - Probably when Meliae was nice and gave them an orange.
🌂 - I think Enyo's right where they should be!
🍎 - Enyo's relationship with Meliae and Phonus is bad, at best. They don't really view them as parents, but rather employers.
🧠 - Enyo's quite different than the other characters I've written before. I've never written a happy, excitable, childish character before!
💎 - Yes, but I don't. You do have the opportunity to lose Enyo from the group, but that happens at the end of Chapter 8.
💀 - No phobias, but a few fears.
🎓- Similar to the others!
MC
🍕 - Player determined
❤️ - Not sure! Definitely something to do with Adalia though!
🌂 - They're right where they should be!
🍎 - It's described in game, but MC gets along well with their father, but they had barely any relationship with their mother.
🧠 - Like Larisilla, writing for them comes very easily!
💎 - Yes, but I won't.
💀 - No phobias, just normal fears or icks
🎓- It must be at least 10 years now? LMAO! I've had this idea since I was a kiddo!

2023 Fic Roundup
I've been doing this for the last few years and it's been a satisfying exercise so time to take a look at my AO3 and see what I did this year for writing.
A full list of all my fic can be found here on tumblr or on my AO3. (sometimes I forget to update my tumblr list but I end up catching up eventually). I also tag posts about my fic with the incredibly creative tag "my fic."
After a few absolutely maniacal years of writing, this year slowed down. I missed it, but life and more responsibilities at work got in the way. Still, there were some satisfying accomplishments.
Words posted: 178,315
Fics posted: 14 - less than half of what I wrote last year :'(
Fics completed: 13 (still one wip nagging at me, sigh)
Fandoms written in: Cherry Magic Th, Bad Buddy, Be My Favorite, The Eclipse, My Tooth Your Love, Never Let Me Go, Our Dating Sim, Semantic Error, Word of Honor
Fandom most written in both word count and fics:
Bad Buddy with 3 fics (1 wip) and 59, 071 wc
Fic with most hits, kudos and comments: Somebody to You for Semantic Error - an arranged marriage AU
Other notable fics I wrote this year:
I finished Echoes in the Dark, a fic I started about a month after Word of Honor aired and then I was distracted by some other fandom events. It's an AU where Zhou Zishu is also kidnapped by the Ghost Valley master when he and Wen Kexing were children. There's great art for it from the wip big bang and I'm really proud of it.
I also wrote sending wishes into the sky, a fic focused on Wen Kexing's relationship with Gu Xiang and processing her death for a discord exchange that I ended up fully outlining in a few hours and finishing at warp speed because I knew exactly what I was trying to do with it.
And a few one shots for Our Dating Sim that I even feel warm and fuzzy when I read them.
Plus finally finishing the Semantic Error fic I linked above that I started in 2022.
My writing this year was dominated by thai bl shows, which is interesting since I had not written for any thai bl until Bad Buddy. But I did a few exchanges (one in bbs fandom and one in GMM fandom) so that definitely made it more likely for me to write them.
Last year I said my writing goals will be to continue to work on finding a balance between catching inspiration when it comes and keeping going when a story requires more detailed work and sustained attention. This remains a continued goal. I finally finished two long standing wips this year and I have one more to go.
Also, related, getting better at outlining longer plots. haha.
For 2024, I will finish The Triple N Project if it is the last thing I do. I would also like to write some more for Cherry Magic Thailand and go back to a reincarnation AU I started for The Devil Judge long ago.
(all stats are for fic finished in 2023 only, my 2022 and 2021 posts are here)

If you were to write your own book, what strategies would you use to come up with plot ideas?
Oof, writing my own original fiction is a tough one. I've tried my hand at it a few times, and was not able to sustain much longer than a few chapters.
But, I have had an original fiction detailed outline, character charts, and some world building tucked away on my computer for a few months now for a specific book idea. I started planning it all out right after I wrote Burn Forever with Me, and I think it's a pretty solid idea. But, I will admit, fanfiction is just so much more rewarding to engage with - at least at the moment. There is community here, I get to really explore my creativity in a more easily accessible way, and the instant feedback is a rush. You don't get that when you write your own original stuff unless you have some very nice friends willing to read for you.
I guess in general - strategies I use is to map out the basic premise first (what is the motivation of the characters to participate in this story), and then give my story a beginning, a middle, and an end. And then from there I let more of the details sort of branch out from that basic skeleton. I'll let you know if I ever actually finish an original novel one day haha. I've written several novel-length fanfictions (not all of them are online anymore), but original fiction is definitely a hill I have a harder time keeping up motivation and self-discipline for.

I can't believe you're only 21 and you write this well! Your writing feels like you've been putting in the work for decades ... are you in a writing programme at uni?
are you sure you're not confusing me for someone else haha?😭😭 this is really really sweet of you<3 i haven't been writing for decades at all but i've probably written well over 700k words in the past 5-6 years, which helped me improve a lot (although i'm still lacking in a lot of areas and struggling with English as a non-native speaker) :o only recently started taking writing seriously however, so i feel there's quite a big gap in the quality of my writing between, for example, biof and silver sparks - and i'm quite happy about how noticeable the change has been!
i'm not in a writing program, i'm getting a master's in sustainable business right now (which has become my passion perhaps even more than writing recently :o) so - that explains the little time i have for writing</3 i feel like the best way to improve is always to practice a lot, even if it sucks at times, even if you look back at your works with hatred, and fanfiction is especially great for this because you don't have to spend the whole "getting better" journey on your own😁

I think I remember you saying you were going to write a meta post about the second season compared to the first. Did you ever end up writing that? I love reading your posts!
Thanks, anon! I did not! Real life kind of caught up to me haha and I haven't had the time to go back and watch the two in one go. That being said, the one thing that I've been circling around a lot, basically since the middle of S2 is that the two seasons feel generically different.
To get a little teacher-y for a hot second: what genre does for readers/viewers/consumers is to set up certain expectations about what's coming and how it will be delivered. Obviously those expectations can be refused or subverted--part of the fun of being a writer, after all--but it's kind of like setting yourself on a given course and trusting that the vague outlines will help your readers or viewers follow along with the story you want to tell. (Because, right, if you went into Romeo and Juliet thinking it was a romcom instead of a tragedy, you'd be pretty bummed when they both died. Or if you went into Modern Family thinking it was a documentary, you'd be confused.)
With season 1--both through the show and the after-the-fact commentary from critics and fans alike--we got set up to think a certain way about the kind of show it was and the kind of story it wanted to tell. A lot of fans and critics talked about it as a dramedy, which set expectations for tone, and praised the character-driven approach it took to narrative work, which set us up to assume that level of deep interiority would be sustained. I personally read it as, in many ways, a spin on a traditional künstlerroman (a story about an artist's growth to maturity)--in this version, it was a story about two artists growing into their own creative potential alongside and through the intervention of the other (the "we make each other better and funnier" ethos that we all loved).
Given what we got in season 1, we* as a viewership (*realizing we is not and never will speak as a unified whole) expected more of the same from season 2. We expected the writers to explore what it would mean to take this developing creative project out from the little insular bubble Ava and Deborah had built together and onto the road. We expected the personal-level betrayal of the email to have deep, resonating impacts across the whole season. We expected more glimpses into Deborah and Ava's interior lives that would explain some of those actions or choices that might otherwise seem discordant or inexplicable (or, to use the critics' language, make them deeply unlikeable).
Instead, season 2 (particularly the first chunk of episodes) shifted tone and genre on us. (There are plenty of moments and things I like in S2, but I've already written about them in my ep-by-ep posts a lot.)
A lot of critics have written about season 2 as a journey story, but I'd actually push back pretty hard on that generic classifications for reasons I won't get into for the sake of length and nerdiness haha! I think instead season 2 was more of a picaresque - deeply episodic storytelling where each episode may have built to a vague journey outline but whose ramifications were largely confined. Picaresques trade in interesting, often ever-changing locales; new, eccentric characters; and vignette style plots. They deal in laughs and (mis)adventures and aren't particularly concerned with character growth and deep interiority. Obviously we did see characters confronting their moments of failure, but there wasn't the same kind of protracted reckoning or repercussions I think many of us expected. Instead of the character-driven storytelling of S1, it felt like the tour bus was literally and figuratively driving the second season. The stops dictated the plot, and the plot drove the characters into new situations where they were largely reacting.
And the thing is? It could largely be thought of as a success on those terms. But that disjunction between what many of us expected and what the show gave us makes it feel like it fell short (outside of more specific critiques of individual moments or plots). And I think so many of us really loved the second half of the season because, in many ways, it shifted more and more back to something closer in mood and dynamic to season 1. It started falling back into the kind of storytelling we expected of it.
Anyway, I don't know if this is at all of interest to you, and apologies if not haha, but for what it's worth we can call this my season 2 overarching meta!

What's your writing process? id love to learn to write like you. and have you ever published anything? Your fanfics are great and id love to read anything youve had published if you have
Well, the easy part of that question to answer is that I haven't had anything published, though I'd like to someday (but that would require finishing an original story haha).
In regards to a process... It goes something like this, usually:
Play a videogame and become obsessed with it.
Finish the game, and subsequently feel hollow inside with loss.
Come up with ideas for shippy nonsense against your will.
Give in to the demon inside of you and write all your shippy nonsense, coming up with a plot, usually, to facilitate said nonsense.
(but seriously, the rest of this is actual process)
Come up with an opening scene, start writing it.
Realize you need to figure out what happens next, write down that idea as the next goalpost.
Get to that goalpost, while hopefully creating the next one on the way. (Generally I loosely outline as I go, without a fully fleshed story planned before I start.)
Sometimes this outline will get more and more elaborate and detailed as I come up with ideas well before I can execute them in the story, sometimes not.
Sometimes I'll have an Ending in mind, but it's not usually too detailed or set in stone, just something to sort of aim at.
As I get to the end my "outline"/notes for each chapter usually get more detailed as I bring everything together, and then it's just a matter of writing it.
And then it's done.
(optional) or it's not done because I got lost somewhere around step 7 or 8.
When I had a project I was working on, I tried to write at least a thousand words a day, and could sometimes pump out 2k (roughly an entire chapter) especially when I was working on WTMYH. Hyperfocus really helped in that regard, but is rarely sustainable in the long run.
I've wanted to try out the method of reducing my word goal to something like 200, but I haven't had anything I've really wanted to work on. Motivation is pretty key to my "process" which makes things difficult.
I'm really glad you enjoyed my fics, and I'm curious which ones you read; they're a pretty eclectic bunch! It was fun to try and figure out my process, genuinely, and I realized I couldn't find the outline for my Yakuza fic because I was deleting it as I was finishing the parts I had written down instead of just leaving them in the doc.
...Don't do that. That's a silly thing to do.

Owari no Seraph anniversary chapter 118 full english fan translation
Owari no Seraph 118: I Can Hear Your Voice
To the desperate calls of his allies...!?
Krul: STILL!? Is the medicine not working!?
Yoichi: Yuu-kun get ahold of yourself!
Mitsuba: Yuu!
Kimidzuki: Come back to your damn senses, Yuu you moron!!
Yuu: *continued screaming*
Shinoa: Yuu-san...Yuu-san! We'll just take it easy, so-!
Guren: THIS ISN'T YOU, STUPID YUU! YOU AREN'T LIKE THIS, YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS! AREN'T YOU OUR FAMILY?
Yuu & Ashuramaru: *both screaming*
Ashuramaru: *coughing up blood noise*
Ashuramaru: ASHERA CANON, INFINITE UNSHEATHED BLADES, INTERSECTING FATE
Yuu: *breathing heavily* Rip it apart, Mikaela
Ashuramaru: WH-, AHH!
Ashuramaru: S-shit, shit shit shit
Ashuramaru: I HAVE NOT LOST, I WILL NEVER LOSE TO YOU!
Yuu: YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY
Ashuramaru: LET ME GO!
Yuu: Have to eat-
Ashuramaru: JUST GET LOST AND DIE ALREADY!
Ashuramaru: You've become a monster, Yuu! You can't be allowed to keep living if you're like this, you're a monster hated by everyone! I mean come on, Yuu, listen to what they're saying! To what they're saying about you!
Narration (I interpreted it as Ashuramaru's but everyone else thinks it's Yuu and so does the official, so I changed it for continuity's sake):
"Your parents called you a monster"
Yuu's dad: We must kill Yuu in order to kill the demon child, it's perfectly justified
"What he said has been sticking in your head and staining all your thoughts since you heard it. You don't believe there's any worth in you staying alive."
Yuu: I'm always alone, I've always been alone
Ashuramaru: Those memories were all fake! Your feelings have been manipulated!! Can't you hear the voices of who you truly think of as family!!???
Yuu: *still sustained screaming*
Shinoa: Yuu-san, Yuu-san!!???
Yoichi: Yuu-kun please stop!!
Mitsuba: Yuu!!
Shinoa: Please listen to me, Yuu-san....if you go all into this rampage you won't be able to go back...
Shinoa: We're on your side, we'll hear you out, whatever it is! We'd do anything for you, Yuu-san...so! So Yuu-san, please stay with us...
Kimidzuki: LIEUTENANT
Guren: It's fine, the medicine's starting to take effect. The demon's power is probably surpressing, he's started coming down. Keep calling for him, he should be able to hear you
Yoichi: Yuu-kun!! Yuuuu-kun!!!! I'm sorry it was my bad, I didn't mean to corner you! Even though I know how importatn mika is to you, I wanted to bring my family back and I completely lost my head for a moment-!
Mitsuba: M-me too! We needed to have more of a discussion! We should've talked about all our family, Yuu's too! What were we thinking, we're-!
Kimidzuki: WE'RE FAMILY, RIGHT? YOU SAID SO YOURSELF! I'M YOUR FAMILY AND SO IS MY LITTLE SISTER! SO DON'T ABANDON US, COME BACK!
Mitsuba: Ah...
Shinoa: Yuu-san
Shinoa: Yuu-san, please don't leave me behind...I can't live without you anymore...
Ashuramaru: Hey, Yuu. Yuu, stop it already. You're not alone anymore, right? If you can't hear those voices out there then you're truly nothing but Shikama's Monster
(it's written a special pronunciation "monster" but the kanji says puppet)
Yuu: Ah...
Yuu: Everyone...is with me
Ashuramaru: That's right.
Yuu: I'm not...alone anymore.
Ashuramaru: That's right!!! Finally, he's back to himself!!
Yuu: Yeah...
Ashuramaru: Great, then stop this already.
Yuu: Sorry, Ashera. For tiring you out.
Ashuramaru: Yeah no kidding
Yuu: ...I've been myself the whole time.
Ashuramaru: What? *screaming
Ashuramaru: N-....no way.....K-...rul.......I'm sorry.....
Yuu: *breathing out real heavy*
Yuu: Ah yeah!! I won!
Yuu: Winning...feel pretty empty. O, sword
Yuu: Have you eaten it? Ohhh, that's your angry face. Are you mad at me afterall?
Mika: Haven't you been able to hear me being mad at you this whole time?
Yuu: Yeah, I could.
Mika: I'm going to throw you
Yuu: Haha, sorry!
Mika: So, you're seriously going to betray everyone to bring me back? Even though I don't even want that? ....just like Shikama Douji wants?
Yuu: Nope. I'm going my own path, without Shikama Douji or Guren. Mine.
Mika: What kind of path is that? Do you even have any ideas?
Yuu: I do.
Yuu: I've got one desire, to protect my family from this stupid shitty world. Lend me your power and let's get to it!
Yuu: Hm!?
Shinoa: Ah-
Shinoa: Ah-oh, Yuu-san
Yuu: Sorry, Shinoa
Shinoa: N-no need, you don't need to say anything else-...!
Yuu: I'm going.
Guren: GET BACK HERE, YUU
Shinoa: Yuu-san!!
Leaving his family in order to protect them.....!?

hellooo again!!!! i was just a bit curious about how ur writing process goes! as in, do you find yourself re-reading your work excessively while writing it??? bc I find that I do it too much while writing fics or things of the like (I haven’t technically written a proper fic for goldenlight yet, but I’ve probably gotten closest to writing it with one of my recent posts, which was the catalyst to this realization actually lol) and I genuinely can’t tell if it’s to my benefit or detriment at this point, haha, pain! while on one point I do think it 100% helps me construct what I want in the fic in the way that I want, it also means that when I’m skimming it for any errors, I end up quite bored of my writing. so much so, that I end up straight up disliking it! in the post i mentioned earlier, I genuinely considered just drafting it for editing (which I’ve noticed I really don’t do with tumblr) or even deleting it, but slugged through posting it ultimately for the sake of the three or so hours I spent agonizing over it.
for my sanity, I decided to step away from the post for a few days so I would kinda forget it, and when I reread it recently??? i ended up really really liking it! i think it’s one of my fav goldenlight scenario-type things I’ve posted! (realized this sounds like I’m lowkey promoting myself lmao sorry I’m really just using it as an example) but i truly believed that I would hate it upon revisiting it! so I was just wondering if you had any experience with this type of thing, and if you found anything more sustainable than having to wait a few days? (I realize a beta reader would probably really help but I’m really not sure how I would go about getting one or if I would even really want to 💀)
if you don’t have any real solution to this, that’s fine, I’m aware that this might be a bit of a strange and maybe even nonsensical ask! bc I get the feeling this def could just be a writing thing that I have to learn to accept 💀💀💀 but I think just hearing your general writing process would be really cool too! I really do love how you write and all! (especially the way you write dialogue, I know I fangirl about it so much, but the dialogue you write is just so natural and organic and in-character it makes me want scream)
Hiya! :D I definitely read and re-read my writing a lot, and I think that's normal and helpful for most writers. It’s also very normal for the writing process to sometimes be genuinely a little painful or to be a struggle. (Myself definitely included) However, if you're re-reading your work so much that it has become torment, and you’ve become painfully sick of your own work, then I think that's probably a good sign to step back for just a little while, exactly like you did. Writing shouldn’t hurt that much.
To be perfectly honest, I have never found anything that works better then just simple time. I've built my writing process around it. I will spend an evening writing out my first draft on a section, and then wait a day. The next evening I will go over what I wrote, read it out loud to myself, etc., and do some editing. There is no way I can possibly hope to edit very effectively on the same night I've done the writing. There is just something magical that happens when you give your mind a short break from writing that lets you truly 'see' your own work again after the break. Usually just a day works for me, but sometimes I might need a longer break before I can look at it with fresh eyes again.
Mind you, being able to 'see' your own work again with fresh eyes is not always a happy thing; sometimes it just lets me realize all the places where my text falls short of the scene I had in my mind. This can feel very discouraging to me sometimes because when I was in the midst of writing it, it felt GREAT, but when I later return I realize what I wrote is just not expressing the scene very well and needs more work. However, over the years I've learned to accept this is a part of the process, and to trust in that process. Yes, the next night, the writing might look awful to me; but I will keep editing it and checking it again until it feels a lot closer to my goal. Over the years it seems like it's become a very predictable cycle for me now, and it looks a little like this . . .
Tumblr media
The truth is writing is a cyclical process, and it can take multiple editing sessions before reaching a point you're happy with (or mostly happy with). But those editing sessions need to have time in between. What you experienced, staring at your fic until you hated it, only to come back later and realize you LOVED it, is something I go through a lot too, and I think is pretty common for writers. It might be kind of a bummer, but I truly believe taking a short break is one of the best things a writer can do. It's time consuming, yes, but, imo it makes the process so much easier and more fun, even if it does mean you're a bit slower.
There are a few other tricks for when you've stared at your own work for too long. One, read it out loud. That helps with seeing it in a fresh new way. Two, some folks suggest switching your text into a new font you don't normally use, because it can trick your brain into seeing errors that you normally read over and considering the text as something 'new.'
Three, as you suggested, a beta reader can help enormously because you can have the POV of somebody who's seeing the text for the first time. It's understandable if you're a little wary of beta reading. It can be stressful having somebody else critique your work, esp. if you've had a negative experience in the past with a bad beta or a rotten teacher at school. So if you don't want to do it, don't feel bad; that doesn't make you a bad writer. You don't need one. But if you're open to the experience, it can also be really great. Low-stakes beta reading is a great way to start; you can ask one of your friends to read something and just offer their general reactions (or you could ask their opinions on specific parts that are troubling you). If you don't have friends who'd be interested, hop on the Discord server and just ask; there are loads of friendly people on there who would love to help out.
I hope this helps out a little! Everyone’s process is different, of course, but this is what’s worked for me. (Also keep in mind there will probably always be some writing that you hate or think isn’t your best stuff, as writers are almost always their own worst critic. But there’s a good chance others will still enjoy it, because they are reading to have fun, not reading to edit!)

Hello! My name is Will S. And I'm here to tell you about Celentria!
I have made this account to document my story, Celentria. I have been working on Celentria since 2018 and I have finally gotten to the point where I can start making something of it. My ultimate goal is for my story to be a animated show but I'm nowhere near close to that being reality at the moment (but i can hope haha) . But i am putting in the work and effort to get there. I have nearly completed the 4th draft of my story and will be working on some concept art soon. Unfortunately due to personal struggles, i took 2 years away from art so at the moment i am having to focus on regaining my art skills. When i have accomplished that, its concept art time!
More about me
My name is Will S. I'm 20 years old and I'm from Britain. I have been writing since I was 9 and drawing since I was 8. I started writing my first story when I was 9 and finished it at age 13. Although I am very proud of it, I was a child when it was written so it definitely could do with some touch ups.
Ever since then I have written a plethora of drafts (57 to be exact) . Of course, the majority of them are an unfinished mess but I'm still proud of them nonetheless. I have 27 completed final drafts that I just have to go over ooone last time to confirm whether they really need to be rewritten for the 700th time.
As I've said I've been drawing since the age of 8. of course most of my drawings at a young age where just 2000s anime girls with unrealistic boobs but I was AMAZING at drawing those large boobed anime girls haha. The art I (hope) to draw now is very whimsical. I have taken a liking to fantasy (a genre I used to avoid) in recent years. My story Celentria is a mix of Whimsical Fantasy, Horror, Drama, Realistic Romance and a hint of Sci-Fi.
BUT anyway this isn't about the 50+ stories that I've written or my recent liking of fantasy art. This is about Celentria, the story that I have been working on for 6 years.
About Celentria
Celentria is a story that I have been working on for the past 6 years (on and off) . Now, I believe I am good at writing. I don't believe that I am the best because if I believed i was the best then I'd never improve. BUT the one thing I historically struggle with is writing blurbs. So for anyone who happens to see this, you're going to have to wait a bit for some story info. My apologies. I will have a dedicated post in the future that will contain an understandable and concise blurb.
(I proceeded to spend the next 30 minuets trying to write a blub and as you can tell from the lack of blurb in this post, I failed)
At the moment It is just me on the team. I did have other people on the team a few years back but due to our ages we where very busy with school so we where unable to continue working with each other. I will tag and end all posts made by me with -WS. If more people join the team then they will do the same but with their initials.
The story of Celentria can be very dark in places so, If I continue to post here, I will put detailed trigger warnings on posts that require them.
I am currently not looking for other team members as I cannot afford it and I do not believe I am at the level where I can start hiring people yet. I would love to make money of off my art but at the moment I am just a cleaner so I definitely do not make enough to sustain a team. But I hope I will in the future.
If everything goes as hoped, then Celentria will be a fully animated show that will be on video based website for free or paid (it really depends on money , as most things do unfortunately) I have even considered making a visual novel game that takes place 2 weeks before the main story starts, as promotion. But of course that is something that I cannot do at the moment so I wont speak too much on it.
I don't believe I have anything else to say, and I have been writing for a a while now. And on top of that its currently 02:53am so I best be getting some sleep.
Questions are always welcome and I will try my best to answer :)
Thank you for reading
-WS

been wondering 4 a long time, since heaven exists in your story, surely there's a hell that exists as well right? because the way I'm picturing it, whichever ending you have planned, even if there's like two endings, won't the fallen ones end up receiving an eternal punishment? I'm not a Christian by any means but if we're taking the Bible and putting it in your story, then their demise will still take place whether they have reader for a temporary time or not, right?
this is probably the longest answer i've ever written haha but below the cut will be a "short" explanation of what the WotN Hell and Heaven realms are like. i'm also not a very religious person in general, so of course it's not going to be completely accurate.
yes, there is a Hell realm that exists just as much as the Heaven realm. however, there are a couple of rules that can land a fallen angel into the other realm and become a demon. fallens are considered to be morally gray beings, so all of the group members are technically morally gray and their intents in the eyes of God are still in a neutral stance. they still have a chance to repent their given sins: for example tae falling in love with one of his assigned mortals and jin following namjoon’s teachings, even namjoon himself has the chance to repent despite holding up ideals that are against His. hobi shows his neutrality the most out of all of them, protecting the reader and one of the owners of the grocery store from an armed mortal despite being a fallen and one of namjoon's followers. of course i'm not completely going off the Bible and basically cherry-picking certain elements that i want to implement into the fic.
as long as they leave the mortals alone in the Earth realm and don't start a catastrophic apocalypse, they'll be left as a fallen angel. what are the boundaries however when being told to leave mortals alone? they can't take or feast on their souls for themselves as demons need mortal souls to retain their being and to remain "healthy" (basically their nutrients for living). once a fallen has become a demon, they slowly deteriorate and die as they lose their immortal status that has been given by God (this does not apply to naturally-born demons). so in this fic, lucifer, one of the oldest and first fallen angels, has been dying ever since and has been continuously taking souls for years. the past rules were much much harsher than current ones, perhaps He had grown more merciful ever since losing his most precious angel.
but meli, why aren't the boys turning into demons if they're killing off mortals? the answer is that they're not actually consuming the soul. even though they have their blood on their hands, they are not using mortals to sustain their beings and are using mortal food to help them suppress the urge to do so. they also don't really kill mortals unless it's absolutely necessary and if they absolutely need something from them. it's fucked up isn't it? losing a few mortals in God's eyes means nothing compared to losing seven angels to Hell's clutches.
WotN Hell is also somewhat different from biblical Hell. satan and lucifer are completely different beings, lucifer is basically satan's second-in-command, making him one of the strongest and most powerful demons. naturally-born demons are different from fallen-turned demons and mortal-turned demons, almost similar to naturally-born angels and mortal-turned angels.
naturally-born demons are harder to create as God has the ability of creation and lucifer has basically half of that power (again bc he was one of God's favorite children). naturally, lucifer is the one creating the demons (they have no retention of any celestial being from the Heavens, they're completely malicious and horrid). since he only has half of the power, it's a 50/50 chance whether the demon would actually be born and it is considered a significant honor to be naturally-born.
i've already basically explained the gist of fallen-turned demons so i'll talk about mortal-turned. God creates all mortal souls so how do they end up in Hell instead of Heaven? on most occasions, lucifer is able to sneak in some malice into the soul before it can go into a mortal body as it is easier to plant evil in than create it. it's basically a seed. the more hate and suffering the mortal causes to others without any remorse or guilt, all of the narcissism and unforgiving ignorance, all the pain and anguish that mortal causes, the more that devious seed grows and completely corrupts that pure mortal soul. so when that mortal dies, they are immediately sent to the Hell realm, no questions asked.
both WotN Heaven and Hell are also basically neutral to each other currently, though there has been skirmishes in the past before due to demons in the Hell realm being greedy and bloodthirsty (naturally). it's a huge risk for Hell to attack the Heavens (since they have a lesser number than them) so it's better to leave each other alone and instead continue to harvest more mortals to join their realm. for the Heavens, they see the demons as pests and have been taught that all the creatures in the Hell realm are below them, even the lowest ranks are better than the demons.
now to finally answer the question (lol), one ending could have them possibly face eternal and divine punishment in the Hell realm but at the same time, there is a chance another ending could have them repent for their actions and go back to the Heaven realm. and of course, i won't actually reveal what endings i have in mind bc are they really going to end up as demons? or will they stay as fallens? i hope that i can make the story as vague as possible so yall wont be able to figure it out as fast haha

How did you come up with the yearbook fic recs idea? And are you planning to keep doing them? I've been loving the rec lists!
I'm so thrilled that you enjoy my rec lists! I'll answer your first question below the cut because I'm overly verbose, haha.
As far as your second question, I do plan to keep doing them! I just won't post them super frequently. Those posts come from a mix of fics I already know and love and extensive reading for each year. I don't believe that my selections for those lists represent any sort of objective assessment of the best fics written in that year—nor do I want them to be viewed that way—but I do like to read widely and feel passionate about the ones I choose to review. I usually read 40-50 fics that are new to me for each year, but if I remember right I read 62 for 2008. That was too many! I have 30 fics left on my to-read list for 2009. While Wolfstar is my favorite pairing to read, I've never been a single-pairing fic reader, and I've found that I tend to burn out on Wolfstar when it's all I read. Slow and steady is the name of the game for those rec lists to be fun and sustainable for me. :)
I owe my little foray into reccing to my friend @consistentsquash, whom I met over on Reddit in r/hpslashfic—my fandom home long before I joined tumblr four months ago. Squash did this amazing post called 21 Slash Recs From 21 Years earlier this year in which she chose one favorite same-sex pairing fic published per year from 2001 to 2021. Squash and I have fairly different tastes—she came of age in Snarry and other slashfic spaces and I originally fell in love with Jily and Marauders fics over on MNFF—but we overlap some and I was extremely impressed by her passionate and thoughtful reviews of all the fics on her list. She has continued to put out wonderful rec lists and deep-dive fic recs since then, just for a different side of the HP fandom than where any of you live (I assume). She's also a lovely person. <3
Squash and I were talking about tropes we did and didn't like one day, and I took her dislike of time travel fics as a challenge to make my first rec list, which was ten time travel fics with no repeat pairings. I haven't cross-posted that one over here, because it's more designed to cater to the HP Slash subreddit, where you have people who are fans of tons of different same-sex (largely m/m) ships—Wolfstar, Drarry, Snarry, Tomarry, etc.—all co-existing in one community. It's pretty different than tumblr, where we all seem to sort into our own ship- and character-based bubbles. I can post that list over here if people are interested, but I'll warn you that it has a lot of ships that really aren't what I assume most of you follow me for or would be interested in reading.
Anyway, all that to say that I originally wanted to make a 21 Wolfstar Fics From 21 Years rec list inspired by Squash's multi-pairing 21 Years list, in part because lot of my favorite Wolfstar fics are pretty old-school. I had a ton of fun digging through old LJ pages and fic archives to come up with to-read lists for each year, but then I realized I'd just made myself a to-read list of over 500 fics. Oops! I just really love research, haha. I decided to break it into one list per year instead to make it feel more manageable (and because I love more frequent praise). My to-read lists for each year have only continued to grow since then, so I think it was the right call for me.
Thank you so much for this ask! <3

Oh! Oh! Happy headcanon and food headcanon? I don't know who this character is but the things I've read from your answers have been really interesting and I want to know more about 'em
Haha thank you, I’m having fun with him! He’s an elder scrolls elf of mine & all the things I’ve written/drawn of him so far can be found here.
Happy headcanon
He’s, generally speaking, an aggressively optimistic person. Whatever the circumstances, he’ll try to pull out some silver lining even if it’s something really glib, which makes him either a...great traveling companion or a deeply irritating one.
Food
Even though he’s a Foodie, he can barely cook. He just...doesn’t know how and his curiosity definitely does not extend to ‘figure out how to sustain my mortal form three times a day’ so he doesn’t have a particular willingness to learn. Most of the meals he prepares for himself are pretty sad and perfunctory. Which is why he immediately looks for the Tavern every place he winds up. He loves the experience of food but not the tedium of cooking.
