This brief was so fun! Kappa are found in rivers and akaname thrive in dirty, cluttered areas of houses licking grime off things. So best to keep our rivers clean and our homes a little less clean to give these beings space to live!

comparing it to the venti black coffee really puts this into perspective, no one is getting several refils of those the same way people have been by panera's charged lemonade. too often i see the entirety of the blame put on the drinker when people on average, especially those not drinking coffee, aren't walking around with proper caffeine dosing knowledge. then the company gets away with it all

yep exactly. also very striking to shift blame off the company in that way, given the context that this occurred in a country where these products are legally required to have their calorie counts labelled and clearly displayed---the claim being that customers are entitled to that information in order to make decisions about their health and food consumption. surely caffeine content is also a matter of health, and more acutely for more people than calorie count!

#i do actually wonder if these suits will lead to better caffeine labelling requirements for other products (coffee and energy drinks &c)#but either way it's extremely easy to understand why someone would not assume a lemonade is that heavily caffeinated lmao

unfriendly fucking reminder that bisexuality means and has always meant attraction to all genders, has in fact historically been so firmly entangled with the trans- and genderfucky communities that it's been used synonymous, and also that there is no productive way to differentiate it from other mspec labels. which is fine in fact i think it's on brand for all us mfers incapable of choosing ever to have more than one possible label even if they are effectively the same thing and pick the one we wear by vibes or associated history or simply because we like the damn flag better, but also trying to clearly define labels is bullshit and we're past it it just makes you sound politically and effectively conservative not everything is cookie cutter cleancut you'll survive stop telling people what their labels mean i swear to god

IT WASN’T EVERYDAY SOMEONE FAMOUS walked into the coffee shop you worked at. in fact, it never happened. the likelihood of someone famous walking in was next to zero. yet, here he was, standing here casually, just ordering a cup of coffee at 11PM like any sane human being would do.

his blonde hair was cut short just above his shoulders, his eyes feeling like they were piercing through you as you wrote down the order into the cash register. “great. can i, uh, get a name for the order?” you asked, avoiding looking into his eyes.

“of course. felix. f-e-l-i-x.” you didn’t protest as he spelled out his name for you, despite already knowing how to spell it, and instead simply nodded, took his money, and went to make his order.

it was at this moment in time that you truly appreciated the fact that your coworker had needed you to take the closing shift for her today, as this was probably the most interesting thing that had happened to you in months. even so, your hands still shook in nervousness as you made his drink, humming eta by newjeans as you tried to calm yourself down.

soon enough, his order was made, and you handed it to him. you watched as he pulled down his black mask, holding eye contact as he took a sip. he looked at you in surprise and nodded his head. “that’s really good,” he said, giving you a smile, before he turned around and left the shop, leaving you slightly stunned at the interaction you’d just had.

Paid £60 for a months bus pass last week only for roadworks to abruptly completely cut off the bus route to the half of town I live in for two months so effectively I paid over a days wages not to take the bus and I have never been angrier

Out of curiosity, what does make a ship annoying to you? Like, the actual canon portrayal? How the fandom is about them? You just don’t like the look of them? The fact that they’re everywhere? I don’t have any ships blocked (just tons of other stuff) and I’m wondering what would make me block one.

Usually an absolutely visceral "yuck" reaction that has nothing to do with the content of the ship and everything to do with me. I don't generally mention which ships I have blocked because I don't want to be an ass about it to the people who like those ships, but it's like... Some ships are pickles to me. Fine for people who like pickles, but when I order a sandwich and find a pickle spear on my plate getting its gross pickle juice all over my beautiful grilled cheese, I have been BETRAYED by Big Pickle and I want to never have to deal with it again.
