"fans of karl jacobs left excited after his "adorable" reaction to the prospect of meeting up with longtime friend for the first time ever."

"why is 'adorable' in quotation marks?" he turned his phone screen around so jimmy could see. jimmy just laughed and shrugged.

you and karl had streamed together last night, and you'd entertained the prospect of a face reveal. you'd become a creator rather young, never expecting it to truly take off. but now as an adult with a flourishing career, you felt ready to show your face.

karl had been elated that he was the first person you wanted to meet in person. you and him had been friends for years, and you telling him that he was your best friend turned him into a giggly blushing mess.

but, that was for him to think about later, because right now he had a video to shoot. this one wasn't an endurance challenge, so he didn't think he'd be here for more than maybe four hours. but that was four hours he could spend talking to you.

"hey, karl?" jimmy called him over about an hour. "can you grab another cable from the storeroom?" karl nodded and pocketed his phone, jogging over to storeroom one. "oh, wait. not that one. we have a guest in there."

"oooh, who is it?" he asked. usually, whenever they had guests it was either viewers that karl would meet when they got to the warehouse, or another creator that he would also meet when they got to the warehouse.

"i can't tell you," jimmy said simply. "it's a surprise."

karl frowned, but just put it off. "why are they in the storeroom,"

"we took out the shelves and put up some decor and stuff," jimmy said. "figured we would do more surprise reveals after this one and we need somewhere for them to stay."

to karl's dismay, he soon found out that everyone knew who was in the room except for him. over the next few hours, they filmed the challenge portion of the video, and then took a break before the end segment.

karl had won, and he had a lot of fun. it seemed like everyone else had given up fairly easily, but he assumed that everyone had off days.

he pulled out his phone and texted you: "hi bub sorry, been filming all day. you're probably asleep right now so call me when you wake up <33"

you and karl had been friends for years, but for the past year or so it had been different. you weren't dating, it was a weird sort of in between thing.

you knew he liked you, he knew you liked him. but you'd both silently agreed to wait until you met up irl before anything was going to happen.

once they were all gathered together jimmy spoke to the camera for a second before turning to karl. "alright, now. since karl was the winner, he gets our mystery prize. it's right in there," he gestured to the storeroom that had been done up.

"ooh, is it taylor swift?" he giggled as he opened the door. he expected it would be maybe his family, or another creator he hadn't got to meet.

"you've been hanging out with alex too much," was the first thing you said before karl was pulling you into his arms.

"you're here. oh my god," he recognised you based off of your voice, and he couldn't believe you were physically in front of him. "you're so pretty, gosh,"

"hi honey," you squeezed him as hard as you could.

"it's weird," he mumbled. "i missed you. but, i talked to you all the time. it doesn't make sense,"

"don't worry, karl. none of us saw her, she came in early." chris said. "we were all in on it,"

"can't even be mad," karl still hadn't let go of you, burying his face in your neck. "not when you're here,"

he had to pull away from you (still keeping your hand firmly in his), to finish the video. but the second everyone had gone he was putting his hands on either side of your jaw. "you're here, with me," he needed to keep repeating it so you didn't suddenly disappear.

"karl, honey?" he hummed in response. "i missed you too."

That's an understatement to how he feels, but it's honestly the first word that comes to mind if anyone asked him how he felt.

He's been asked a lot, mostly by the press of course. But he kept the word shitty just quiet in his mind.

He kept his head held high.

He understood their decision. Alex got them the most points last season. Alex was the most experienced driver.

He understood all of it.

That still didn't make him feel any better about himself.

He still wanted to prove himself and now that chance was taken from him by a stupid chassis.

Standing in the elevator to go up to his hotel room, he was so ready to just be alone. To not have to see all these looks of pity.

The door opens and he lifts his cap to card his fingers through his hair quickly, sighing as he walks to the door of his room.

He's so ready to just be alone....

Except that when he opens the door ---

He's not alone.

In the center of the room, in the center of the bed as well, is Oscar.

Oscar, laying in a pool of flowerpetals?

"Osc, what---"

"I'm so proud of you." Oscar cuts him off gently, getting up from the bed and walking over to him.

There are some petals stuck in his hair, but it's actually kinda cute, so Logan keeps his mouth shut.

"What you're doing for Alex, for your team.... I don't know if I could take it."

Logan ducks his head, shrugs, "He's the better driver."

"Logan. Stop." He can't let him say that. He won't. "You're an amazing driver. You just have to believe it yourself."

And Oscar knows. He knows this is yet another blow to Logan's confidence. That's why he came to his room with his extra key card.

"Loges, look at me." He reaches out and hooks his finger under Logan's chin, gently lifting his face up. "You'll show them next time how good you are. Before you know it, when they get in a situation like this again, they'll give you the only car they have and not Alex. Let's see how the world will react to that."

Logan can't help it. He has to smile. Just a little bit.

"You're crazy, Oscar."

Oscar grins, leans forward to press a peck to Logan's lips.

"Now how about watching a movie and going to bed early?"

Logan nods and lets Oscar take his hand and lead him to the bed.

Once in front of the bed, he can practically feel Oscar cringe next to him as they both stare at the bed.

Logan's eyes sparkle mischievously as he tugs on Oscar's hand.

"Talking about crazy - - - What's up with the petals?"

Oscar clears his throat, "I have no idea what I was doing, but I think I thought it was cute? I tried creating a heart, but well..." He gestures towards the bed helplessly, "I guess I ended up with just a pile."

"Very creative." Logan chuckles, pulling at Oscar to turn so they're facing each other. "And you're right," he smiles as he reaches out to take the petal that was stuck out of Oscar's hair. "It really is kinda cute."

They grin at each other. Each knowing exactly what the other's thinking.

They stand next to each other, holding hands, then let themselves fall backwards onto the bed, flowerpetals flying everywhere.

Their giggles and laughs can probably be heard through the hallway.

This was suddenly so much better than staying on his own.

Leave it to Oscar to cheer him up again.

HUGELY LONG POST INCOMING wait mobile has readmores now wtf anyway this is abt new story quest spoilers ahead

thoughts thoughts thoughts... i liked the new quest! i definitely do still get the "this could be more" feeling i tend to get with newer SSO quests -- they tend to exist in that sweet spot between there being not enough tech in a quest and that forcing you to sort of use your imagination and just enough tech to make it really satisfying that leaves it feeling juuust not quite right in a few spots. THAT BEING SAID, it was so much better this quest than it has been in the past. i definitely felt like there was some on the fly world building that was very jarring, but i can't place exactly why that is as it's just so hard to keep up with SSO lore with all the old quests you've done being unplayable. i'm sure it would be kinda hard for them to make a quest library in this moment with how things are optimized, but my god, it'd be so helpful.

so what i didn't like: the tree?? segment??? where you could only ask "some" questions... this was a little misleading to me because i really thought they were gonna make us choose which questions to ask? but that wasn't the case. i felt really confused by this immediately after doing it, and when this was prefaced before the interaction became available, i kinda rolled my eyes because i thought there would be obvious "right" choices and obvious "wrong" choices. so i was really confused at the wording and then at how you could actually just ask *all* the questions. maybe if they had told us we can only ask 4 it would have felt... no, actually, i'm thinking about that and it still is a weird stipulation to then throw out the window. that being said, ignoring that issue, i did like that "is there anything you're worried about?" was ACTUALLY the question you had to ask. i'm sure i could've picked that up from context clues if i hadn't already forgotten the last quests since i played them LOL my memory is NOT what it used to be.

what else... i didn't really like the runestone rising up from the ground. i FW suspension of disbelief, but this had me neutral facing rolling my eyes and shit. also, i learned the hard way you should have winter snow turned OFF for maximum quest effect... i figured they'd have accounted for players still playing with snow on since it came out during winter. this is NOT a deal breaker for me, it's unrealistic to put out a story quest and account for all the future players who *might* play it during winter (i'm thinking in the future, like, several months from now, or 2 years or so). that being said, DID jar me. watching katja run across ice that was very much also traversible for me as well and have the game be like "see? they're escaping!" was so awkward i restarted the game without finishing the quest so i could re-do it with snow off.

what i DID like: THAT ENDING CUTSCENE WAS SO FUN!!! it was fucking hilarious to see nasty dusty gross weird awkward mr sands there i won't lie but like even still, considering SSO's usual animation limitations, especially in cutscenes, i was blown away. and erissa's little cartwheel was so cooooool and so fun and cute i LOVED IT. and with regards to animations, i DID notice when they gave alex a less LOUD talking animation a while back, and when they gave anne that awkward smile (that she used WAY too much and at rather odd times during this quest), like those small details always stick out to me. i really loved it, i loved the FRAMING??? of the cutscene??? i got like super into it it was so cinematic and fun! i had just been rolling my eyes so hard at sso's nearly condescending comebacks in some of the dialogue writing (c'mon, not even kids think that's cool. well maybe some do, i was a cynic as a child) but the cutscene's cool factor immediately won me back. so dope!

i partially loved and partially hated the stuff from the hollow woods being an important part of the quests... on one hand, it's super cool to see them adding in new mechanics, even if they're ones not everyone has played with yet. On the other hand, though, it was a little odd to just like, do a rune puzzle. very strange. i've already talked about this though, so let me get back on track. collecting the sun energy was way more druid training, which i still do like the inclusion of, so while it did feel a little shoe-horned in, i do love that SSO is trying to make the game more game-y.

Overall, I liked it fine. i do think there's still room for improvement, obviously, but i also see how creative they're getting with what once was considered a very *static* game, so that's super dope. oh, and i LOVE erissa so far. her presence is so fun and i'm so excited because i know she's gonna appeal to SO MANY weird kids like i was as a child. and, restating this again, i'd really love if they took chiyo's model and put her in the game as a new npc. i think that would be so cute and fun. she is in DIRE need of some new clothes IMO and also her face could be um... a little different i guess? you all have probably seen my thoughts on her (once more it's more about context than how she *flat out* is, minus her clothes) but yeah. i think it'd be so fun to have more characters like that, unique and cool and weird. i know i'm getting on a totally different tangent now, but i really would love to see chiyo as a cool japanese kid who's like, i dunno, into creepy cute stuff or whatever. like kimokawaii (But don't get crazy, i don't mean in a weeaboo way) emo, or maybe just an awkward artsy emo kid, or an emo kid who's actually really friendly but tries to be broody to fit in or some shit. i would've eaten that UP as a kid. would be a cute questline too like she could realize she could be happy go lucky AND an emo or something. you help her embrace herself yadda yadda, food for thought!

back on track now, overall i definitely feel like SSO's lore is getting mega murky, and in an effort to make it clear by redesigning starter quests (WHICH, BY THE WAY, I ENDED UP LIKING A WHOLE LOT) it has sorta wrapped back around a bit? like i feel like there's a little less *punchiness* to the quests now. like... these weird teens would NOT be this good at communicating. more mess, more drama, more rudeness and emotions before thoughts. i can see sso hinting at this in lots of dialogue, even in this quest! but it just always feels like... the HINT of issue rather than anything actual. y'know, like, they're teens! but maybe the writing has always been like this and i'm just older now. but yeah, the lore is definitely getting kinda odd to me. i'm sure they'll find ways to fix it all up and tie it in together, but y'know. it's messy. very messy.

overall, generally speaking, i enjoyed. curious to hear everybody's thoughts! wondering how the DC oil rig thing will work out in the open world sense -- i assume you can keep going to it up *until* these quests, but i'm unsure.

'You coming?' John stood relaxed, hands in his pockets, with a small smile on his face, 'you know, no matter how much you go around here, there's always more to see. '

'yeah, I'm coming' I replied, running over to him.

We spent the whole day walking along the streets of Venice, talking, sightseeing, and just... Relaxing.

The feeling was almost foreign after everything-- Scorpia, Sharkovsky, Moscow

But that feeling was good, good pretending that he and John were just friends in a foreign country. In fact, we were similar enough to be brothers.

Yeah, brothers. Maybe not by blood but brothers. After all, John had taken him under his wing, protecting him from everyone.

I looked at him smiling while petting a dog, motioning me to do the same.

Seriously, where did that dog come from, and how did it trust John so much? I guess he just has that effect on people.... And dogs. Hes a good man. The very best

'yassen? Hellooo?' alex calls, nudging me with his elbow.

We sit in Venice, after I took him there after a his mission. There was no way I was simply ignoring him after he took down the Snakehead in operation Reef Encounter. I didn't even know it was going on, I was recovering from my bullet wound. And, since I didn't know where to go, anywhere outside of England, away from Mi6, we came here. He deserved a break, after all.

'yeah? ' I look at him expectantly

'so I know you're this like, (retired) assasin and you night not care for him, but look at this dog! Isn't he cute?' he held up the dog in question, and the beady eyes looked back at me.

'alex, we are on a gondola, and you are carrying a dog almost as tall as yourself' I reply, 'how...? And why.?'

'Oh, but you gotta admit, he's cute' alex shot back, with a grin on his face.

'but either way, Yassen, thanks for taking me here... I needed the break'

I smile in response, steering the boat. Watching the sunset and seeing the tired smile on his face, I realise something.

Although alex is a spitting image of his father, and they're alike in many ways, there's a part of him that's... Alot like how I was. And if he's me from the past, I guess he needs a John in his life too.

I think he looked like me when he had seemed so exhausted, and had that gutted expression. He'd seemed so... Alone.

I mean, everyone he knew had died or betrayed him. That Ash person did both.

Though I wish I got to torture him, not give him a relatively short death

I could make Dr Three seem kind

But now, it's just Alex and I (and the dog) , in the middle of a canal, watching the rays of sunlight shimmer across the water, watching the sky slowly turn from a deep pink to dark blue.

'anything for you, little Alex' I add on the last two words, as an afterthought.

I hope I can save him.

hiii icha!!! a very quick ask tonight (my time) lol. I’ve emerged from the cave of exams only to have… well I still have more exams. but I did take some time to chill and go thru the blazing beachside passion event! i was soooo hype when I realized it was gonna be muku juza centric like FUCK YEAH!!! we did not get nearly enough of that in the main autumn troupe story and like I get why but I’m rly glad they’re delivering here. side note I was rly glad masumi was not a part of this event lol bc it meant that the beach episode was like. normal. ummm but let’s see. I flinched at the shirtless sprites bc I was like guys. that’s hot oil. ur gonna get burned. think it may be bc today I like made enough stir fry to feed 10 people dinner lol. overall I thought this event was real sweet tho! muku as a prince and juza as his knight was a very good pairing—feel like muku specifically would appreciate that kinda setting, yknow? as always tho I have so many Feelings abt juza and this event just made me have more Feelings… he is so <3 like something abt juza makes me want to pat his head I think. like even the way when he’s like not opening up abt why he’s uncomfy with muku and tasuku is like “you trying to start a fight with us with that glare?” I was like jumping out of my seat yelling like “tasuku!!! that’s juza’s UPSET face!!!!” I feel like that’s a really common problem with juza through like so often he is feeling like. Sad or Shy or something like it and ppl interpret it as him being scary which is like. man I get why he’s so reluctant to open up yknow? and I wonder if that’s specifically why juza might gravitate to acting, out of all things—if he’s scary and intense without meaning to… well, acting is all abt projecting certain feelings emotions ideas forth right? it’s all an art of making the audience perceive u in the right way. which is something that I think juza doesn’t quite feel in his day to day life so I like to think acting helps him in that regard… hm. honestly I think I have more Thoughts About Juza than thoughts abt this event in specific lol? tasuku being so blunt with him made me smile tho, it feels like very in character that after being literally forced into a time loop so that the only way out was to reconcile with tsumugi he’d be kinda blunt abt conflict resolution right? speaking of juza I really love his casual sprite like so much bc the posing is just very. it gives this sense of cool aloofness but when u look at it u can also interpret it as him being shy and reserved and I think it like communicates that duality well? hm yeah. muku and juza were cute tho. i think it’s interesting how they both feel the other is like “too cool” for them so they feel inadequate when the communicate with each other… it’s rly interesting bc like it’s not really one person’s fault there i think? anddd closing notes I thought the mention of kyuchan/ku was nice—clearly the story’s prepping for kumon in act 2, AND like I feel with the “citronia” at the end of clockwork heart runaway royalty citron is pretty much confirmed but I’m still so happy that my small theory from Alex in wonderland is shaping up to be correct with like the “for muku’s sake, I had to play the role of a king! it was so unpleasant.” like yesssss. yesss that’s what I want! i also wish since kazunari’s nickname for tasuku is localized as “tax” they could make a joke abt him being a taxi. since he does get roped into this beach trip bc he has a car and can drive lmao. also citron saying smthing was a catwalk and being corrected to cakewalk genuinely shook me bc I thought catwalk was correct… that’s all!

Second, you have a TIMING, i was litterally talking about this event to a friend just yesterday evening. I woke up to your ask and i was puzzled for one minute like "wait WHO did i talk about this event TO yesterday" it's incredible.

"I flinched at the shirtless sprites bc I was like guys. that’s hot oil. ur gonna get burned." fun fact, it actually happens in SR!Omi's backstage ( [Omi's House is Now Open!] - "Incident at Omi's House" if you're reading on the Archive). He gets burnt because of the oil and Izumi has to take care of him while he keeps brushing his own pain off, it's very Omi like. (speaking of backstage if you have time/energy for it, Citron's R for this event, [A Chilling Watermelon Split] - "Thrilling Watermelon Split" , is a SIGHT. I love when Citron gets murdery.)

So really you're right and they should all know better, especially you Omi, but i guess the fact it's Omi "i don't take care of myself" Fushimi monitoring the whole group may have added some issues on the careless department.

Anyway the event was great and i agree with you so much! honestly, the play made me cRY. I think it's peak Tasuku to basically talk about processing your emotions via acting and yknow what, it's helping Juza plenty, so good for him, and the play itself was just so soft. The setting of Muku as prince and Juza as the knight was so good and represent them both so well.

AND YEAH HELP, so, when i first read this event i didn't care much for Tasuku so during that scene i was just "wtf is your problem dude", but now that i Understand:tm: him i'm just, oh yeah the guy is just super blunt because he gotta expose what the main misunderstanding is and hope the person in front of him is going to at least do something to clear it if he is to help through it. Learning from Winter! in a way. But me gushing about Tasuku aside (me?? about /winter/???? This is so out of character), i agree that still it's just that It's How Juza is TwT like, Tasuku has no reason to know that he doesn't specifically hang out with him, but like. That's the issue poor Juza's facial expression get misinterpreted all the time!! Tho i think it's really a feat that we, as the audience, can now interpret Juza so well in comparaison. He's just trying so hard TwT

It's really so good.

The Tasuku's mention lmao yes this is exactly it. Man has been caught into One (1) Timeloop and just decided to not let building resentment happen again god bless this mass of muscles.

Also agreed on Juza's sprite i really love the dynamic of this one and you're really right about the duality.

and yeah i'm all with you, i really like the Muku and Juza dynamic and the way they both inspire each other and also intimidate each other? Honestly i can't blame Muku for the way he misinterpreted Juza because i feel like his Rejection reaction is just off the charts and he himself has a hard time really figuring out Juza's bodylanguage since he basically go back to thinking he's at fault there (and tbh i feel like, the fact as cousins it's likely Muku always saw Juza with Kumon there was a contrast in personality that made Muku think it was a Him Problem rather than a Juza problem), and i can't blame Juza for struggling to explain himself especially with how people just generally interpret him. But i'm just so happy they both managed to discuss it finally and that they're able to see how much they misunderstood and how much they care for each other.

Also YEAH the Kumon's build was honestly so soft. I genuinely love how the rookies are built up in act 1, i remember getting so excited when this event first came out.

FOR CITRON YES YES YES, god I LOVE Citron in this event. Like i talked about Tasuku because of course but i genuinely think Citron is doing so much like. Like!!! Citron is always going the extra mile for Muku in general, you feel that he's extremely protective of him and that he'd be willing to do anything for this kid. The fact he got really upset at being casted as a King in Alex in Wonderland, yet now is most likely the one who prompted the scenario because he knows how much being a Prince matter to Muku and you know what. If Muku wants royalty, Citron is going to give him the best one he can give him, no matter his own feelings about it. It's genuinely sweet. idk there's just something about the way Citron doesn't even complain and probably just prompt it because he is so invested in making the situation better that just makes me soft. (Citron/Tasuku being driving force about solving a misunderstanding situation tho. muah.) But yeah of course i won't say much about Citron's arc but :3c i do love how the build up is consistant there and honestly it makes it very rewarding when you catch on to it early, which you did which is great :3c

YOU'rE SO RIGHT ABOUT THE TAX NICKNAME… between being the taxi for everyone AND the fact he's constantly carrying Hisoka around, Tasuku should embrace the nickname. "Yo "Taxi" isn't writen on my forhead" while he's carrying Hisoka on his back would be a hilarious situation for everyone else to go "well. actually." and him realizing he's doomed either way.

OH YEAH OMG THE CATWALK TOO i also thought it was catwalk, weirdly enough? like, in French went we say something was easy we do say stuff like "it was a piece of cake" so i understood the idea of cakewalk in a way, but i didn't really see where the walk came from dLFKJDF meanwhile the idea of Citron managing his way through a catwalk in an "easy" way felt so Citron that i didn't question it. Like, yeah of course being on a catwalk is a piece of cake for Citron, have you SEEN Him?? the guy looks like he belongs anywhere that could put his beauty forward. But now that i think about it for normal people Catwalk probably come with more stress than Citron probably implied. Still, cakewalk…

I remember really loving this event, i loved the Muku and Juza arc and i loved the Citron bits, and upon reread i really loved the Tasuku ones too. He acts so grumpy the whole time like he didn't want to be dragged into it but he still gives his everything for everyone around him and that's genuinely soft. I also remember getting soft that he keeps track of the silly things Citron says (there's a scene just before they leave Mankai where Citron is being overdramatic, and Tasuku rolls his eyes, but then Citron refers to it again later by saying something completely different and Tasuku is just "didn't you say it was /that/ instead". King of "i'm dealing with Arisugawa everyday, i will keep of your silliness against my will i'm programmed to do that now".)

In the end i don't have much to say about Omi and Kazu despite loving the fact Omi is probably the one Juza has more reasons to be comfortable around so he can open up more easily (and that i do love that it follows up on the two of them becoming biker buddies like man. Omi i hope you live it well.), and Kazu is mostly here for the hype squad and driving Tasuku more crazy in the car with Citron and Muku but we love that about him.

This event was really good and the feelies were incredible.

Summary: As requested: “Reggie x reader friends to lovers. They’re close friends and one day they end up falling asleep on the couch and wake up cuddling? the next day someone wakes them up and everybody starts teasing them abt it leading to a confession abt their true feelings? thank you💜”

As the movie started, Reggie laid his head on your lap and you played with his hair "Don't do that" you looked confused, his hand stopping yours "I'm going to fall asleep if you keep touching my hair" he explained intertwining your fingers.

"So you better get up, Peters, it's a good movie." he laughed but sat up, his arms going around your shoulders, pulling you close instead.

In the morning, Reggie woke up to your smell and instinctively held tighter to the body that was asleep against his. Once his brain was awake enough to think about it, he shot his eyes open in surprise. He didn't remember what was the last part of the movie, none of his other friends were around and you slept peacefully as his little spoon. He let himself calm down as there was nobody around, taking a look at you and smiling.

Before he could stop himself, his fingers touched your cheek, caressing it lightly. You opened your eyes to look at him and smiled sleeply. "'Morning." you mumbled, turning so you were facing his chest and grabing his shirt as you closed your eyes again.

He felt like he was dreaming. Actually, erase that, he never dared to dream about waking up by your side. Reggie was usually good at flirting, winking at attractive people as he played and asking them out after the presentation was easy for him. But it all vanished with you, he could never get himself to confess how he felt. Maybe it was the fact that you began as such good friends and showing affection was so natural between you, so innocent he felt guilty.

A flash and the sound of a picture being taken startled him. Bobby, Luke and Alex stood by the door, the last one held a camera. As a small and hushed bickering about being stealth began, Reggie tried to shush them, his cheeks red.

"I'm not a morning person," you said in an annoyed warning tone, muffled by the bassist's body "I really suggest you all get out." They fleed in seconds.

"Should I be scared too? Because I can't really get out without making you fall out of the couch" Reggie asked in a humorous manner

"Nah, you're good."

"You look cute when you're asleep." He felt you tense and you looked up to him slowly "You always look cute, actually."

"Thanks." you answered simply as you didn't really know what to say.

"I guess being this close is not really the best way to tell you, but they are going to tease me so much after this that you are going to find out anyway. And it is not fair, by the way. I've made them promise they'd not tell you and they didn't, but getting me flustered and winking because we are going to share a couch, specially after they were so insistent about the couch being ours, is not exactly helping me hide it and..."

"Reggie," you interrupted "what are you talking about?"

"I like you. A lot. Not like a friend." there was silence as you tried to register what he was saying and if he was serious "It's okay if you don't like me that way."

"Are you kidding? I've been trying to tell you the same thing for such a long time."

"Really?!" A huge smile showed up on his face and he was about to kiss you when a loud noise came from behind you. You groaned as you didn't really need to look to know it was one of your friends who had tripped over something as they were spying on you. "Don't be mad at them, the movie night was their idea after all." He said kissing you, he had to thank his bandmates later.

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. - travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- demigods of the demeter cabin arent talked about enough and i love the fact that meg was demeters kid. like she isnt the child of one of the big three yet shes so powerful.

- sadie (tkc) was kinda annoying at first. i like her more now tho but i rmb not liking her for a phat while

- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes 

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own

- GROVER IS PERCYS BEST FRIEND

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

I know you sent this the other day but I wanted to put in the time to give you a proper response & let me just say...dude...I love this idea. so so much.

single-mom AM who had a kid in high school or right after high school & they’re abt 8 now

Coach Kelley who works in the local league coaching & reffing games as she works through grad school

Kelley who thinks Alex is really, really cute & who loves AM’s kid sooo much bc it’s clear that they’re rly passionate abt soccer even tho they’re like 8 but she can’t do anything abt it because she’s one of the moms, she’s probably way more of an adult than Kelley is and sure, she’s working towards her doctorate in biomechanical engineering, but she also had spongebob squarepants easymac for breakfast. She’s in no way shape or form ready for a real relationship, especially not one where there’s a kid in the picture. 

and Alex, who thinks the way her kid talks about “coach Kell” is the cutest thing ever and they’re old enough to understand that their mom isn’t dating anyone and they know that Kelley is funny and smart and kind and so one day, as they’re getting in the car after practice, because he’s 8 & he doesn’t know a better way to word it, he says “mom, why don’t you marry coach kell?” 

“I’m sorry?” Alex asks, setting the equipment bag in the trunk. She turns toward her on and reaches out to brush the hair from his face for a moment. “Did you get a head injury? Any particularly hard tackles in the game today?” She starts steering him into the car as he laughs and pull away.

“No, mom.” He gets up into the car, laughing still, and buckle themselves in as Alex stands in the doorway. 

“What are you talking about Max?”

“I think you should marry coach kell. I really like her. And I know you like her.”

Alex can feel her face grow hot as she suddenly realizes how many parents are also buckling their kids in right now, and probably hearing a bit too much of this conversation. “Hm,” is all she says before shutting the door & getting in the driver’s seat, starting the car. 

“Mom?” He asks, after Alex has started to leave the parking lot. 

“Yes?” She glances in her rearview mirror for just a second to see him looking at her, confused. 

“Are you gonna marry coach Kelley?”

“I’ve hardly even talked to coach Kelley, baby, and marriage is an important thing. You need to be friends with someone and date them for awhile and accept them as part of your life before you think of getting married.”

Max nods along, seemingly understanding, and is quiet the rest of the way home. But at dinner, of course, he brings it up again. 

“Do you want to date coach Kelley?” 

“What would make you think that sweetheart?” Alex uses her fork to point to the untouched vegetables on her son’s plate. “And eat your broccoli.”

He starts stabbing at the vegetables, sliding them around the plate. “You just always smile so much when she’s around. And she makes you happy.” He looks up at Alex and smiles a soft smile, proudly showing off his missing tooth. “You deserve to be happy, mom.”

Alex is touched, so touched, and she can’t believe the wonderful boy her baby is growing up to be. “Would you be okay if I dated someone?”

“Is there someone else?”

“There isn’t anyone right now, but if there was someone, you’d be okay with that?”

“Yeah, I’m a big kid now. I can handle it. Plus, having another mom would be pretty cool I guess.”

“A big kid, huh?” 

He nods triumphantly and Alex just laughs. “Maybe she could come over for dinner, you could ask her!”

(Part 2/?) so we start getting up and doing stupid shit as we do, and she starts watching and laughing at us. like genuine smile and humor laughter and i questioned the fact that i was over her. it is near valentine’s day so one of my friends starts talking to me about the school valentines you can send (he’s important later so we’ll call him Will) anyway, he says smth like “so are you gonna send one to your girlfriend?” he was referring to this girl i had gone out with a couple weeks ago but she was a child prodigy and a genius and v intimidating so i didn’t think it was gonna work out.

(Part 3/?) i start explaining that although that girl wa perfect i am sure as hell not gonna send her a fucking valentine. i then realize that john has come over to talk to Will about something. i don’t actually know if john knows i’m bi because he made a face and walked away without talking to Will. the next period we had together he didn’t talk to me at all. i got worried because now he thinks i’m a lesbian.

(Part 5/?) so i was like okay fine you can tell her. then he sent me her contact and said tell her yourself. at which point i freaked out and i was like “NO THATS WHY YOURE HERE” and then he was like “i’m just kidding i told her but she’s not gonna make the first move so text her”. at this point he wasn’t with her anymore so i called him and he helped me write out a text to her which just explained who i was how i got her number and if she was doing anything tonight. i sent it and she “ooo i katie(that’s my name) yeah sorry i have fencing tonight” i’m still in the phone with Will and i’m reading the texts aloud and he texts her and is like “SKIP FENCING DAMNIT” and she’s texts him back “i’m sorry i wish i could but i’m always busy i never have any free time but i’ll let you know when i do” anyway Will and i talked for another few hours and then i left to go to the concert that i was gonna ask alex to go to me with. it was about a 20 minute walk so i called my friend alison and explained the whole thing to her.

As soon as Erik left the beach, Charles felt (y/n) shove Moira away. He was immediately in her arms, held closely, as she barked orders to those that remained. Charles couldn’t really make too much out, due to the swimming of his vision and the waning of his hearing. She turned to him suddenly, and all Charles could see was the worry in her hard eyes. He squeezed her hand- when had he grasped it again?- and kept it as close to him as he could. A plane flew overhead, and Charles sighed in relief before he passed out.

The steady beep of a heart monitor woke Charles up. He furrowed his brows, an uncomfortable whine escaping him as he rolled his head to the side. Distantly, he registered the sound of someone shifting  in their seat. He focused on the thoughts that turned in their head, the worry that coursed through them.

Thankfully, the blinds are closed. Charles appreciated the dim lighting as his eyes fluttered open. It was late, or perhaps early morning. The heart monitor continued to beep, steady, as he surveyed the room. Hank was fast asleep in the corner, and (y/n) was drifting off besides the bed.

Charles breathed out in relief. He reached out and assuaged (y/n)’s worries so that she would finally drift off. He followed shortly after, too tired to stay away.

“I swear, Nancy doesn’t know what she’s doing. She should be fired, or placed onto another floor. If she comes in here again and-”

“(y/n),” Charles chuckled, “It’s alright. Nancy is only doing her job, so there’s no need to get so upset.”

“Bullshit, Charles,” (y/n) said back. She raised an eyebrow as Nancy, one of Charles’ many nurses, walked by the door. As soon as she passed (y/n) said, “It’s awfully rude of her to just come in here- and she never says hello, ever! You notice that? I swear, she’s got no manners-”

Charles’ laughter cut off her rant. (y/n) raised an eyebrow to the bedridden man, but smiled nonetheless. Ever since the doctor had come in and explained his paralysis, it’d been hard to get him in a good mood. The change was nice.

“You ought to give her more credit, (y/n), for she deals with fussy visitors like you!” He chuckled again, eyes bright at the sight of her own smile. He could feel the waves of relief coming off of her, could feel the ebbs of her happiness right after.

(y/n) had always been… stubborn, perhaps. Or ill-tempered, stern. There were multiple ways to describe her quick remarks and occasionally cold behaviors. She had a surprisingly warm heart, however. Charles discovered this once when she made chicken soup while he was feeling ill, and another recently when she helped Alex talk through his frustrations with his mutation. It’d been a long while she’d last opened up, the telepath realized.

Actually, it was rather thoughtful that she was still at the hospital with him. The staff had to kick her out every night, as per their rules, but somehow she always crept back in, like a curse they’d never be rid of. Hank had gone back to the house since he and Alex were in charge of renovating, but (y/n) had stayed behind. With her there, his days were… colorful. Staying in a dreary hospital without her would be absolutely horrid.

“Hey, do you still like chocolate pudding?”

Charles broke off his chain of thought and regarded (y/n). “Yes, I do. Why? What are you planning? Don’t say you’re not planning- I know that look.”

“Hush up, you don’t need to know. Don’t look in my mind either! Just- if you happen to find an extra pudding cup stolen from the kitchen, don’t question it.”

“You…” Charles broke out into a grin, despite the furrow in his brows and the questioning tilt of his head. “You are quite amazing, (y/n). If I happen to find extra pudding cup I will savor it. Is there any certain friend of mine I should thank for said pudding?”

“Nope!” She responded, leaning back into her chair with a pleased smile. Which dissipated, of course, as she whispered, “Aw shit, here comes Nancy again.”

“Leave her be!” Charles scolded, yet the smile never left his face.

Honestly, how could he live without (y/n) in his life? Watching her scowl as Nancy walked in, and the amusing, over dramatic faces she made, he decided it was a question he never wanted answered.

It's may be hard to realise but it seems that when a show has a female lead and lgbt rep, it will always be judged more harshly by it's own fans. We need shows like supergirl to go well so we can get more. Attack arrow for having one bi woman 3 seasons ago or having honestly terrible writing. Nah bc even queer ool have theur heads up cute white male leads' asses. Get angry at tge flash for hiribg so many lgbt actors and not making any of theur characters lgbt. For acting like Iris not fuckibg her adoptive vrither was some tragic friendzoning. For sidelining Wally.

How about riverdale giving black characters barely any screen time and promoting predatory relationships? Nah bc the male leads are handsome and quirky. People are still fucking watching supernatural after it being the blandest ass show queerbaiting for twelve fucking years.

Supergirl queerbaits, true. It hurts whatever. They fucked over Kara and their writing went awry laat season. But she's a role model for little girls. When i was younger, watching dbz, naruto, batman cartoons etc. I felt disheartened and conflicted abt the female characters. Were they even a match? Then I'd see stuff like Kim Possible and Spanelli in recess and i felt so much better even if i never actually watched a lot bc my brothers reigned the tv. I am so happy there are little girls out there like I was ( still am tbh) who are surrounded by boys, dominated by, verbally abused by, patronised by boys but get to watch supergirl leave morgan edge on a ship in the middle if the sea. See a woman face up to issues of consent ON HER PART. Because it's never too early to realise you shouldn't kiss someone who doesn't want it.

Supergirl's sexuality to anyone who's struggled with their sexuality is not straight and that's because we relate to her. The writers screw us over for sure. That isn't gonna stop a little kid watching alex come out and feel inspired. Sanvers ended abruptly and with more pain than necessary. We can't go back though. We can go forward. The supergirl are genuinely going forward, they listened about mon el, they listened about lena getting more screen time. Lames is dumb and I hope it doesn't happen but maybe it will get james more screen time. The women in this show talk to eachother about anything and everything. There are different dynamics with all of them and it's great. Sam and Ruby's relationship is going to break my heart. That kind of angst maybe isn't necessary but it's supergirl. Supergirl is dark af. The rebirth had her kill her deranged father who mutilated the corpses of argo city to bring it back before sending them to earth to murder humans. Supergirl is dark. Comics are fucking dark.

In my opinion, they shouldn't have even brought in Maggie sawyer, it literally didn't make sense. There are other characters of colour they could have brought in that fit the dynamic they wanted and what they did was just do a weird version of a beloved lesbian icon. We're all angry, they see that. Continue being angry, don't attack the actors, msg writers about how you feel. Don't make it about shipping because they won't take that seriously. For good reason as well. Like I'll make fun of Chris Wood's beard to my friends but I'm not gonna tweet hate at him.

Also SDCC hurt me a lot and I think it's the same for all of us. I think the residual anger is making us more critical but they aren't dishing out three dimensial female characters everwhere. They're actually cancelling their shows.

Please can we just keep supergirl going. Idc about the actors apart from katie, chyler and odette (the allies) it's about the characters right now. If we don't promote female leads they aren't gonna say, "yeah they brought in a white guy who owned slaves and belittled the title character whom he was supposed to love" or anything about sanvers. There's gonna be some dumbass article like "Do people really want female heroes?", or "Can a female hero succeed on mainstream tv?". The answer is yes, Buffy did it, Xena did it. Also it is important to note that the show probably can't make Kara lgbt. They can and they should, but she's a comic character before anything. DC obvs dishes out bi women like confetti (loving it) despite whether the rep is all we desire. Supergirl is different though, she's the all american girl of steel. Making her a lesbian is probably not in DC's plans, even if powergirl fantasises about wonderwoman and poison ivy was her first kiss. Same as they likely won't make superman lgbt, it's not gonna happen any time soon. So can we just appreciate what we have and contribute ideas and calm complaints to writers instead of going batshit at actors and saying absurd slutshaming bs about sara and alex's one night stand.

I'm pretty sure every lesbian I know who's ever had a break up has had a rebound night. It may not be in your character, one night stands aren't really something I strive for but they're all I've got. They just happen. Are fourteen year olds who've only seen relationships in fluff fics the ones making these assumptions? Fair enough, I'm a baby too but I don't wanna see supergirl get cancelled before arrow. Arrow, the blandest knock off batman show ever. Just think about how harshly you're judging "problematic shows" and then thinking about whether you're judging it more harshly bc it has women or lgbt characters at the forefront. Don't get me wrong, I understand why. These shows broadcast their problems more outrightly bc the lead feels the brunt of them. Kara getting tortured all the time for instance. Also lgbt characters being there means they're gonna have mistakes that people latch onto to hate on. The problems are more obvious but every show has them but with half the character development or focus on female relationships.
