SUMMARY: A group of kidnapped people are trapped inside a house full of sadistic, gruesome lethal traps set by a serial killer and forced to fight their way through them- by any means.
As it will become a repetitive theme, mod Sus doesn't remember that much about the movie other than famous traps and kills. And they loved every one of them. Nostalgia attachment.
Mod Z would like to add that even though he had the biggest hyperfixation with Saw, he doesn’t have much interest in seeing a few of these pointless sequels.
I know everyone has written a review on how good the drama is and how the actors have embodied the roles. However, can we talk about just episode one.
Everything in Yi Jae life would have turned out much better in a sense if he hadn't witnessed that man's death. That one thing was what literally spiraled everything out of place. Because he became traumatised he messed up in the interview.
It was almost like a bad omen. Everything after that kept going wrong. And we can literally see that DEATH was gripping unto Yi Jae since that scene. The dying man's grip on his blazer was soooo strong and felt very ominous to me at least.
So yea, everything after that one encounter with death set up the events that occurred after.
Which had me thinking what if? What if he hadn't encountered death that day? What would've happened? So that was just something I found very very intriguing.
you know what i think i like the death game genre so much because it’s finals weeks right now and consuming so much death game related media gives me the opportunity to think about my final projects and finals and go “you know what? it could be worse”
