Barrett taking Cloud under his wing when he first comes to Midgar and developing a soft spot for him. Cloud helps out where he can, looks after Marlene when it’s needed and what not.

Somehow he meets Zack and the SOLDIER becomes absolutely smitten. He’s always visiting and catching Cloud whenever he’s alone to hang out and whatnot. At some point Zack ends up catching Barrett and the older man can’t help but get all protective over Cloud, especially since the guy in front of him is Shinra.

Cue endless amounts of shovel talks and glaring from Barrett and a distrustful little Marlene that thinks her older brother is gonna get taken away from her.

I made a very little skybound au, where everything is the same excpet for the very end, where there were two different timelines. One where jay dies at the end, and the normal one where Nya dies. Now, Jay remembers the timeline where Nya dies, but Nya remembers the time like that Jay dies, which causes an awkward exchange where they’re both hugging on the hospital rooftop and at the same time go “YOURE ALIVE!” And then they’re both very confused as they try to talk about what happened.

Idk I thought about this in like the middle of the night last night while I was trying to sleep.

Phantom, the new addition to Young Justice, just accidentally made Impulse cry.

Whoops.

Impulse had been talking about a candy that had been in the future, that he missed a lot, that had no equivalent in modern times.

So the next time Danny was in the Zone, he asked Clockwork if he could reach into the future and grab a bar. Clockwork just told him that the timeline he was talking about was dead, but that the people from it were occupying the Zone if he skipped forward in time a bit; maybe one of them knows how to do a homemade version?

So he does that, with the help of Clockwork, and manages to find someone from that doomed and dead timeline that knows how to make a homemade equivalent.

He returns to the world of the living and recreates it, and Impulse is beyond ecstatic for both the food and the recipe.

Then he asks where Danny found this.

Danny, mostly human but having been something other for so long that the concept of 'Death' doesn't hit him the same way, cheerfully says he sought the dead souls of the future that had been dissolved and asked.

Now everyone is glaring at him and Impulse can't stop crying.
