When making a turn, left or right doesn't matter

PLEASE STAY IN THE LANE YOU ARE TURNING IN. DON'T CHANGE LANES IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNING ONTO A NEW STREET

So say you're making a right turn and the intersection you're rolling up to has TWO right turn lanes. If you're in the outer right turn lane, stay in it. If you're in the inner right turn lane, STAY IN THE LANE PLEASE.

Now there can be exceptions, like say you're turning from a single right turn lane and you've got a green light, that's fine, there's no oncoming traffic and you have right of way. The other exception could be that the intersection is just *dead* and there's literally no other cars around.

But back to example one, two right turn lanes on a busy intersection. You are not the only person making a turn. If they're turning in their lane the *same* time you're trying to switch into their lane mid-turn: YOU ARE GOING TO HIT THEM AND IT WILL BE ON YOU.

so, im getting my drivers license (had health issues, so we're getting it now, better late than never) and im taking Driver's ED. In my Driver's ED class we take some online quizzes in addition to in-person learning. Here's what the questions on the quiz look like:

Hands down my least favorite part of driver's ed has been the sheer amount of time they spend driving home the fact that driving is dangerous, and if you aren't absolutely perfect and overly conscious about every choice you make your just gonna fucking die SO many people crash every SECOND wouldn't it suck if you died in a car crash better not screw up - like BUDDY please stop this is not helping there is a REASON I still don't have my license after 5 years and it's cause I'm fucking terrified to be on the road and THIS IS NOT HELPING

Hang on i gotta know if something I experienced is normal or not

I remember it was called "blood on the pavement" or "blood on the blacktop" or something and it made me so sick I left the room. Afterwards, I found out 1) it wasnt actually required to get my license, and 2) it supposedly wasnt even real gore? But they told us it was, that it was real deaths by DUI and that we had to watch it to learn how dangerous it is to drive drunk. I tried looking up the names I remember but cant find anything.

It was REALLY gory too, like I'm talking I nearly puked just from the small bit i saw.
