Fanart for @telemna-hyelle 's fic What You Look At, You Change. Extras and ramblings under the cut!

Aaaa I finally finished this!! According to Ibis paint this took Eight Hours not including the original sketch. But! I had so much fun making it that it didn't really feel that long :)

So first of all, flower symbolism. We've got white and yellow chrysanthemums and white calla lilies. Yellow chrysanthemums represent joy and celebration, so they're here to represent the wedding. White chrysanthemums represent grief and mourning, symbolizing Dot and Four's grief over losing their kids and vice versa. Calla lilies have dualing meanings of life and death and are popular in both wedding AND funeral arrangements!

Speaking of weddings and funerals, the bells are meant to symbolize both since both events are associated with the sound of bells. Pretty obvious but I was giggling to myself when I thought of it lol

Anyways, I'm pretty proud of this! And it was very fun to make

Finished making the mini figure of Marvin from my favourite piece of fanfiction, Studies Say That Having Pets is Good for Your Health.

I only had dark blue wool beside me, so his little sweater is not quite the blue I picture when reading it, however, it is still blue.

yes and then some more of the wine(?) spilled on her clothes, and some of it dripped on the floor, and more of it was spilling out of the bottle as Helena stood there shaking, trying to mumble excuses as to why she was sneaking around Papa’s room, and patient Papa waited for her to compose herself, but the time never came, and the room was beginning to flood with wine(?) spilling from the bottle held in Helena’s trembling hands, and the cage of rats on the low table achieved buoyancy and sailed out of the room, the little creatures going off on an adventure, and ....

(and his father...and his father’s father... and his father’s father’s father...)

The painful claws of Jason’s fingers were more relaxed, now a simple firm grip on Salim’s bicep and shoulder. Their foreheads were pressed together while they were locked in an intense stare-down."

I was simply blown away by this amazing Jason x Salim fic I found on Ao3, so blown away that I, who cannot draw men, actually decided to comment and say - I really want to draw that scene.

And now I need somewhere to upload this so I can share it with the author, so enjoy?! :P Drawn with one, now very blunt, pencil.
