You're on a roadtrip and in the middle of nowhere, your car breaks down. Obviously your phone died too - what happens next?
This, is very interesting and my horny brain figured out what would happen next 👀👀
Walter Marshall x fem!reader
Wordcount: 1.5k (yes, a lot happens)
Warnings: Fingering, squirting, unprotected sex 👀
‘Piece of shit,’ you mutter under your breath. You cannot believe this happened again and to make matters even worse, you're in the middle of fucking nowhere. Last time your car decided to break down, at least it happened downtown, meaning there were around five men who saw you hopelessly staring at your car, not knowing what to do and offered their help.
Now, you’re by yourself.
You grab your phone from the passengers seat, only to discover the most horrible thing that could ever happen to you.
Your battery died.
It’s probably around thirty minutes until you reach some sort of civilization and it’s getting darker and darker.
Oh no, is this how people get murdered?
Great, now you’re not only by yourself, but you also scared yourself by envisioning horrible scenario's. You pop the hood of the car, only to realize that everything looks the exact same and you have no idea where to start. Why do the problems have to be so complicated? If it were a flat tire, you probably would’ve managed to fix it, but this is on a whole new level of complex.
A car stops behind yours and your heart stops for a few seconds. Please don’t be a serial killer, please don’t be creepy in general. You peek around your car, only to see the very familiar truck. You’ve seen that car around in town, including the owner of it.
You watch him step out of the vehicle. His shoulders are broad, his strut is confident and his brows are furrowed, but that is nothing new. When he sees it’s you, one corner of his mouth curls up. ‘Sweetheart,’ he says and you can’t help but slightly giggle when hearing that nickname.
Detective Walter Marshall is a very well loved customer at the cafe you work at, mostly because he comes by every day and has become a reliable income. He always orders one cappuccino to go and sometimes he goes a little crazy and orders a cookie with it as well. He rarely smiles, but recently you noticed that whenever you took his orders, you not only earned yourself a very lovely 'Sweetheart', but also a small smile. Sometimes, he would even go as far to asking you what your plans were for after work and when you answered with whatever the plans were, he would simply nod and tell you to not have too much fun without him.
It was cheeky and slightly flirty, but it was always within the four walls of the cafe and nothing happened. You wished though. Walter Marshall was a very desired bachelor in town.
‘Hi detective,’ you say with a smile.
‘Car trouble?’
You nod. ‘Yes, it’s just that my car gives up from time to time.’
‘I see, I see.’ He rolls up his sleeves and stands next to you, examining everything. He starts to say something about some sort of liquid/fuel-thingy, but you have no idea what he means. Not only are you distracted because it’s too complicated, but also because of his outstanding beauty. No man in town tips to him.
Of course you fantasized about him, just like everyone else. There was quite the age gap between you, a rough fifteen years, but that never stopped you from having the most disgusting, NSFW dreams about him.
‘What?’ you ask him, when he looks at you, obviously waiting for an answer.
‘You weren’t listening,’ he chuckles. ‘That’s okay. What I said was that it’s too late to call for a tow truck and that I can’t fix it right away. We can leave your car here and I can drive you to your place if you want.'
'But what if it gets stolen?'
'How?' he asks. 'The car doesn't work, right?'
You shake your head. 'Maybe it's for the best. It's a stupid car anyway. The only reason I have it, because I got it for free.'
'Maybe that should've been a red flag. Free cars are rarely reliable.'
You scoff. Dammit, you hate it when other people are right. 'You sure you want to give me a lift?'
Walter scoffs. ‘I’m not gonna leave you in the middle of nowhere by yourself.’ He closes the hood of my car and adds to it: ‘Besides, I don’t want anything to happen to my favorite barista. You’re the only one who hasn’t messed with my cappuccino.’
You shouldn’t giggle or feel nervous, yet you do both.
‘Come on, go grab your stuff and we’ll go.’
You walk over to the driver’s side and lean over the seats to grab both the key from the ignition and your bag. Then you realize that you are wearing a pretty short skirt and your underwear is a bit on the flimsier side. You hear an approving hum from behind you. Part of you wants to die of shame, the other part however makes sure things heat up in between your thighs.
When you get out of the car and close the door, Walter has his arms crossed in front of his chest. ‘One condition, sweetheart,’ he says, taking the bag from your hand.
You frown. ‘For what?’
‘For me to give you a lift back home.’ He holds out one of his hands and says: ‘That piece of fabric you call your underwear, please.’
You blink your eyes once, twice and the universe how many times after that, mostly because you cannot believe those words—those dirty words—left his lips. His expression barely changed. It’s the emotionless look you are so used of seeing, but the words that take you by surprise.
You have had many dirty daydreams, but handing over your underwear in the middle of nowhere wasn’t one. You hook your thumbs behind the waistband of your panties and push it down your legs. When you step out of them, you hand them to Walter, who nods in approval.
The two of you walk towards the passenger’s side of his truck, when he grabs you by your hip and turns you around. With your back pressed against the door, he lets his hand slide underneath your skirt between your thighs. Your lips slightly parted, as his rough fingers knead the soft flesh of your thighs. ‘Do you have any idea how much I’ve been wanting this?’ he asks you. ‘It’s always those pretty smiles,’ he continues, ‘the way you lean over the counter in those tops with a deep neckline and how you bite your lip when you’re focused. Have you got a clue of what that does to me?’
‘No detective, I don’t,’ you whimper.
Walter smiles at your desperation, as you’re already grinding against his fingers. Fuck, he knew deep down what you could be, but this he didn’t expect. He dips in one finger, but when he discovers how wet you are, how ready you are for him, he pushes in another.
Your pleasured moan fills the emptiness around you. You’re a loud one too, Walter thinks to himself. You sure are the jackpot. His fingers brush against all the right spots. He watches your eyes rolling back, your breathing become ragged and your thighs and walls clenching together. ‘Beg for it,’ he says.
Instantly, you obey. ‘Detective, please, please, can I cum?’
There is no way you are truly real.
He barely has the change to answer, when you tumble over the edge. When you have to hold onto him since you can’t trust your own legs. When you squirt passed his fingers down your legs. The sobs and strained moans that leave your lips, make him grin in satisfaction. He roughly slams his lips against yours and within a second you melt against him.
He pulls out his fingers and without letting go of your lips for one millisecond, he opens the door of his truck. ‘They always say you are such a lovely young lady. So innocent and sweet,’ he says to you. ‘But you’ve got a dirty streak.’
You bite your lip and let out a sweet giggle when he turns you around, bending you over the passengers seat of the truck, your toes barely finding the ground. As Walter uses one hand to knead the soft flesh of your ample behind, the other unzips his pants and pulls out his cock. After pumping it a few times, he lines himself up at your throbbing cunt, before pushing himself in entirely.
The sounds that leave your lips, make him go feral. Part of him wants to take the time, worship your body and look you in the eye as you fall apart in his arms. But that part doesn’t have the upper hand now. The part that wants to destroy you, rail you, fill you is completely taking over.
There is no stopping now. Skin slapping against skin. His groans mixed with your cries of pleasure. He can feel it, your warm walls that feel so good around him, start to squeeze his hard member. ‘Detective, I’m close again,’ you wail.
‘Let it go, sweetheart,’ he tells you and on cue you start to shudder, your orgasm washing over you and that’s enough for him to reach his limits. He holds your hips tightly, probably imprinting you with some bruises, as he paints you from the inside.
He gives himself a few seconds to regain himself, before he pulls out and watches it all drip down your legs. You’re limb, barely able to stand on your legs. Your skirt is still bundled up near your waist, revealing your beautiful round bottom.
He grabs you by your arm and pulls you against his body, pressing his lips on yours. ‘You’re gonna make a mess on my seat,’ he says.
‘You’re fault,’ you mumble against his lips, only for you to earn a sharp slap on your behind. ‘Sorry, detective,’ you whisper. ‘How— Where do I sit then?’
He smiles. ‘Right on my cock as I drive you to my place, because we’re not done yet.’
✨ Okay, I'll see myself out now ✨

Visiting your hometown
What happens when you take your man to your home town? As your memories, people and places come together how will he react?
A small/long drabble to get me back into writing. Enjoy!
Victor Creed
Tumblr media
This mutant never thought that he would walk in your hometown. He didn't expect to see cultures that morph together into one special town, your town. A place where you grew up. So keeping all that in mind he was cautious. Various not to offend someone or to say a rude word in your mother tongue. For the first time in his life, he is frazzled and nervous. he will keep in his front pocket a small leaflet some words he heard you say a few times that may be of some assistance. trying to woo you.
-that old hag showed me the middle finger. let's go.
Unfortunately, anything that he says wrong, will be your responsibility to amend it. so good luck.
Loki
Tumblr media
you just know that Loki will have your mother tongue in his little finger (that sounds weird but let's carry on) but do not be fooled, he can not survive the morning wave of people in the farmers market. something that is pretty much normal for you. Loki doesn't know how to feel when he sees the local butcher wrapping the meat in todays' newspaper giving it to buyers or how people shove him to the side as his black suit with the green scarf is more than brought down in value. he will hear the near shouts of Famers that are trying to sell their livelihood to him as his head goes from one side to another in a split second. he will easily get reeled in by the old farmer who just smells the innocence on the Midgardian addressed god. you know the moment you grabs his hand he looks at you.
-how did you ever survive in this chaos?
-I thought you said that chaos is your middle name.
-it is however my kind of chaos is more dignified.
-survive just a little bit more, I need to go to that man in the corner.
-oh, no...
Thor
Tumblr media
we all in the fandom know that thor is a ball of joy. but when he lands in your city, your territory he is stoic. he is here on a mission and no one should stand in his way. he will glue himself to your side and he will hold the dictionary book in his mighty right hand and your hand in his left. he will not stand for wasting a day on mundane stuff that you do with him back in the HQ so say goodbye to lazying around. when you go to the oceanic part of your country you are now almost ready to drown him in the ocean. or just leave him on the road, it is getting that heavy.
-thor, think it is time to stop.
-what do you mean?
-to be honest, I don't know anymore I am so tired.
-you are right... let us stop. for 2 minutes and then you can drive again.
-I will leave you here.
Bucky Barnes
Tumblr media
bucky loves to travel. he loves to see you in the role of a guide you tell him about the park where you cut your leg open and when you got to the hospital as a nun stood above you praying for your recovery. bucky loves to feel the fresh air going into his nose thinking to himself how this was the same air that you breathe in. he loves to see all the different parts of the city where you went to. even so much that he went to your former hairstylist.
-bucky, you don't have to do this.
-nonsense, doll. I want to experience it. just like you did.
-that was eons ago. and I wore super short hair, like a hedgehog.
-hedgehog?
-yeah, it was so short that I only put on gel and made small spikes.
- I will give everything I have and say that you looked beautiful.
-alright, your call.
Steve Rogers
Tumblr media
steve cannot wait for enough for him to arrive in the city where you walked, ran, and laughed. he cannot wait to enter your old apartment and see all of the hidden pieces that he wants to know. he loves to help you clean the apartment and see a big box of your old photos. he will look with your through on the hard wooden floor with one arm around your shoulders as you talk about each photo. even showing him the photo of your sister.
-when will I meet her?
-I don't know.
-didn't you say that she lived here, still?
-yeah...
-I want to meet her. I think am ready for it.
-okay...
Bruce Wayne
Tumblr media
you just know that when you told him to pack his bags to go with you he did his research. he knows when, how the city was built. he will try to memorize the tongue twisters and say them horribly wrong just to make you laugh. when he looks at your old apartment he tries to envision the day you left it all behind to go to Gotham and it breaks his heart to imagine you in tears.
-bruce.
you take his calloused hand feeling his fingers tighten the grip.
-sorry, I immediately imagined you when you moved out. I got sad.
-why?
-because, you surely cried.
-I did, a little, but this city didn't have that something.
-and what is that?
-you dumbass. now stop sulking we need to clean.
Clark Kent
Tumblr media
as Clark arrived at the farm where your aunt lived he couldn't help feel but prepared. he saw the cows eating grabs and was ready in a split second to milk it just to show off his soft and delicate side. Clark heard the stories of your aunt, well one of them, and from what he concluded, for now, this aunt was the beginner level, nice one, the one who won't tear him a new one if he doesn't treat you right. as the door opened you greeted your aunt in your mother tongue and introduced your man. Clark shakingly trying to reply in the mother tongue feeling the few letters that stood together could fall more apart than from his mouth. your aunt laughed hugging him and roughly patted him on his back. almost like a punch if you will. you look at your aunt and Clark cannot help but stand behind you as he whispered.
-what did she say?
-she said that you seem stiffer than a goat's turd.
-you said that this aunt was nice.
-she is. but that is the way we express ourselves.
-with curse words???!!
-what better way.
Arthur curry
Tumblr media
Arthur was relaxed when he arrived, he was laid back when he slept in your apartment but that all suicide jumped off a cliff as he shook hands with your mother. Your mom wasn't that intimating but he heard the stories of her standing to your abusive father and running away with just some change in her pocket and a used car. he knows that the woman in front of him is strong can make or break your relationship. so he held the coffee cup in his hands as if was the key to everything he needed to know how to make your mother happy. he saw how your eyes sparkled when you talked to her how your smile ever left for a second you take what seemed to him in complete gibberish but cute gibberish. your mother turns to him asking in English.
-so Arthur, can I call you by your first name?
-yes, madam. of course, you can.
-thank you. well, then Arthur what do you do for a living?
with a small nod from you, he tells the honest truth.
-I am a superhero. but minus the stupid cape. I am here to keep you and your daughter, of course, safe from all danger. and I hope you will like me!!!!
you turn to your mother with a small chuckle as you tell her in your mother tongue.
-he is helpless.
-he seems like it, good luck, Y/n.
Orm Marius
nothing can save his pulse from rising as he walked with the crowd of people in the town square only your hand which he held more than tightly enough. you stopped pointing at a big statue of a colonel on a horse placed in the middle of the square.
-he is a big deal.
-yes, I can imagine the poor people that had to lift it up to place it here.
-yes, but thanks to those people, people now in the present can always remember what they went through at that time.
he didn't find any specialness in the statute for him it lacked in far more than that he can count but when he saw your face looking at the statue he knew that whatever that stirred in you he wanted to see it every day. he only squeezed your hand placing a kiss on your knuckles.
-does this mean you want in your likeness?
-sure, but only if you will make it.
-oh, darling, that is a recipe for chaos.
The Joker
Tumblr media
j never put effort into himself. he did in destruction, in chaos, in mayhem, and even in covering his white skin with some basic foundation as he meets your off the edge aunt. when you told him that every second sentence from her is a curse he was more than ready to meet her. because sometimes crazy people click with the people who like to curse. everyone knows that. so when he sat in the house of your crazy aunt he firstly observed, he watched you talked together and exchanged laughs, even more, when you ever brought to tears as you laughed off the curses she threw at you so playfully making even j smile. so when she turned to him it was game time. and you were the translator.
-my aunt asked what is that you do for a job?
-tell her I am the man of your dreams.
-I told her that.
-damn, then tell her-WHAT?!
you giggle at his shock as you heard the playful quote she told you when you were little and j wanted to know what she said.
-what did she say?
-she said "if a girl gives a man a hand, she will give him her ass"
-your aunt is a wise woman.
- I knew you would like her.
Duncan Vizla
Tumblr media
Duncan likes to take walks and taking a walk with you next to him as you showed him around your old neighborhood and told him stores of the always pissed on metal slide and the always filled cafes that were always the pinpoints for some scammers he found in question why you like it so much. as you showed his around you stopped at your old elementary school. you showed him the main entrance was where everyone hurled in the morning hours and where you sat with your friends and talked about the horribly proffers that still to this day haunt you. something he heard you mumble in your sleep.
-she was that awful?
-yes, and people like here never get old it's like the evilness she has in her keeps her eligible for work.
-am i not the same?
he couldn't ask a stupider question. and for that, you punched him in the shoulder.
-don't compare yourself to her. you aren't evil.
-you are forgetting my job, darling.
-you kill for money, she kills for fun and to keep herself alive. a difference now let's go home I need to remind you just how good and attentive you can be.
-lead the way, dove.
hope you liked it. Tell me what you think❤️

“School rivals”
Douxie and (y/n) have hated each other since the moment they met for reasons unknown to the other. Now your arch nemesis has entered your school and you want to find out why.
——————————-
“So (y/n) can I catch a ride to school ?” Your younger brother Jim asked you giving you a pleading look.
In response you let out a short laugh before stopping and giving him a cold stare.
“Um no.”
With a swish of your hair you turned around and headed out the door calling up to your mum Barbara that you’d be home late after soccer practice. Annoyed at you, Jim through a pillow at your head as you made your way out of the door, only marginally missing you.
“Only six months till the end of senior year and I’m out of this place.” Swinging your leg over the side of your motorcycle you grumbled to yourself, envisioning the freedom you’d have once you left the confines of the tiny town you’d always lived in.
A dreamer and adventurer at heart, you’d always dreamed of leaving your hometown for something bigger and better; an adventure awaited you, you could feel it.
On your motorcycle it only took like ten minutes to get to school and the sight of Arcadia Oaks High only dampened your mood. Sure you had good friends, were captain of the girls soccer team and had been Spring Fling Queen back in the day but you had a serious case of Senioritis.
At least you had your motorcycle to bring some excitement into your life. Yes your mum had a heart attack when she sure you riding it back home from the dealership you’d bought it from, but after much persuasion and a presentation showing how safe it was, stastitsics etc your mum caved. Only on the condition that you wore the most expensive and protective helmet that you could find.
“Yay....school....” Grumbling more, you locked your motorcycle up in front, ignoring the flirty looks you got from Steve, a boy in your brothers year at school who had a bit of a puppy crush on you.
“Looking good (y/n). Sweet ride.” With a wink Steve whistled your way only causing you to roll your eyed at his childish flirting.
“Morning to you to Steve.” With a stale good morning you marched past him, helmet in hand as you entered the busy school.
“Morning Señor Uhl.” You greeted your Spanish teacher as he walked past you down the hall, who in return smiled and said:
“Buenas días miss (l/n). You did very well on your Spanish mid term, A*. If only your younger brother good do as well.” Your Spanish teacher praised, before walking down the corridor again, shooting a glare at your brother who’d just entered the school woth Toby and Claire flanking him.
“Pshh (y/n) this and (y/n) that. Can’t catch a break.” A frown passed his face as he mumbled to himself having heard Señor Uhl’s comment.
Jim watched as you walked away, smiling at your friends who greeted you. People in this school treated you like royalty. With perfect grades, a talent for soccer and overall a nice fun personality you were beloved here. Yet nobody knew how much you wanted to leave, how unhappy you really were in your tiny town.
“Cheer up Jimbo. At least you aren’t sick like Claire.” Beside him Toby tried to cheer his best friend up, who smiled begrudgingly before turning his attention back onto Claire, who looked very pale and ill.
Outside in the sunlight the courtyard looked quite pretty, light filtering through the trees and splashing across the ground. As you made your way over to your locker you couldn’t help but notice the commotion coming from a group of girls, who were huddled in a semi circle around something....or someone ?
“Huh wonder what’s going on...” Curious and a bit bored you grabbed your books from your locker, swinging it shut before walking over.
You weren’t the only one who’d noticed, Jim and Toby too were also watching the swarm of girls, Jim specifically was staring at Claire who’d been dragged over by Mary. Unlike the lot of girls who were giggling and talking excitedly, you were less than impressed to see the one and only Douxie Casperan standing among them.
“Oh brother....” you thought to yourself as Claire dropped her books by accident in front of Douxie who lent down to pick them up, flirting then ensuing.
“C bomb is it ? Consider me blown away because you are nuclear.” With a flirtatious look, Douxie continued to make Claire giggle at his flirting who in turn turned a rosy pink.
“Very original Casperan.” You’re snarky comment broke their little moment, drawing Douxie’s attention to you.
“Oh it’s you (y/n) nice to see your as lovely as ever darling.” He winked at the end of his comment, pleased with the way the expression on your face soured with annoyance.
“Sad to say I can’t say the same for you. What are you doing here ? You don’t go to our school.” Your time was harsher now, colder and the girls around you could sense the growing tension, deciding it was safer to back up. Except for Mary of course who was living the drama unfolding before her.
Your brother, both annoyed at Douxie for flirting with his girlfriend and worried about you starting a fight made his way over slinging his arm around Claire protectively.
“I would also like to know what brings you to our humble school ? And what it will take to send you back.” Jim pushed a little at Douxie’s chest just a warning but enough to get the message across that he wasn’t welcome here.
Ignroning you now, Douxie paid attention to your brother and Claire, chatting about some band competition he wanted more people to enter and about his amazing band what was it called ? Astrol Dispersal pattern ? The hell type of name is that.
“Pshhh sure sounds lame. Always trying to impress the girls with your music.” Your comment brought Douxie’s and the others attention back onto you.
Raising an eyebrow in both amusement and slight annoyance Douxie smirked down at you, enjoying the way you looked when you were being defiant and sasssy.
“If I remember correctly love, you used to be one of those girls.” His comment sent a chorus of ‘ooooooo’s through the crowd of girls around you, who quickly scattered upon seeing you glaring at them. People at the school knew not to mess with you when you got mad.
“Please like I’d ever be caught listening to your music. You’ve got nothing on Papa Skull.”
The two of you were squaring up now, standing a little bit closer and entering into an intense glaring match. Claire and Jim watched, a little worried now about what may unfold. Jim especially did not like the way Douxie was flirting with his older sister.
Unaware of the tense situation, Darcie, another girl in your brothers year, rushed over to you guys. Giggling excitedly at Claire.
“Claire we should totally enter !” In excitement she shook Claire slightly, joined by Mary who also exclaimed:
“Yeah we could be a cover band. Call ourselves umm... mama skull !!”
The girls shrieked and giggled, the prospect of performing and playing covers of one of their favourite bands exciting them. It made you smile to see them happy about it, remembering the good old days of being in sophmore year.
However Jim’s obvious jealousy dampened the mood and it made you smile more to see that your brother too shared a distaste for Douxie Casperan.
“Yeah I don’t think that’s such a good idea. I mean it’s the end of the school year and we are already pretty overbooked.” Placing emphasis on the word “overbooked” Jim snatched away the band battle pamphlet from Claire, hoping to discourage the girls.
In retaliation howeverClaire just snatched the flyer back, smiling excitedly and saying
“Well a friend of mine said I needed a little extra balance in my life. We’ll do it.”
You raised an eyebrow at the strange way the pair were talking, clearly they were hiding something and being very vague about what the said. You’d known something was up with brother since the beginning of the school year, but had never been able to place your finger on it. Besides you were busy with choosing a college, a major and your last year of soccer as team captain.
“Well I hope to see you there soon. Fair Claire.” Douxie’s flirtatious nickname for Claire made you roll your eyes and also internally barf a little.
Whilst the sophomores walked away, Jim sending one last glare to Douxie and not particularly liking how close he was standing to you, you remained in the courtyard with Douxie as it started to quietened down as students made their way to home room.
“She’d like sixteen dude. And also has a boyfriend.” Grossed out a little you pointed a finger at Douxie as you spoke, who only chuckled in return.
“It’s just some harmless flirting I swear. Anyways another girls caught my eye.” Again he winked at you and to your horror you felt your cheeks turning pink.
‘Fudgeknuckles’ you thought to yourself as you suddnetly became aware of how close the pair of you were standing to each other.
“Uhuh well send my condolences to the unlucky girl.” Sassing back, you laughed a little at the scowl that crossed his features, enjoying his annoyance thoroughly.
“I’ve gotten how much of a pain in the ass you can be.” He face palmed recalling how annoying you’d been upon past interactions, like working together in the cafe or running into each other in town.
“Well I’ve enjoyed the peace and quiet not having to see your ugly punk face everyday.” The pair of you now were only a mere inches apart, glaring at each other with a mixture of hatred and something else....
It was a shame the two of you didn’t get along but it was only natural really. Considering what you truly were it was no wonder he hated you, you on the other hand had no clue why he was so aggressive towards you. One day you’d met after a soccer match against Aracadia Oaks Academy. It was your first game and you’d won so you were riding a high of happiness and adrenaline which had quickly come crashing down when you’d quite literally crashed into the wizard on your way out of the changing rooms.
He’d sensed it from the moment he’d met you. The dark magic that flooded your veins. It reminded him of a sorceress he wished he could forget, somebody who’d ruined so much for him and hurt people he held close. Morgana La Fay. However you on the other hand didn’t seem to sense a thing, it was like you didn’t know you were magic. And quite quickly he’d realised you didn’t have a clue, and that naivety annoyed him. It also annoyed him that he found you beautiful and funny and smart. At first he’d chalked it up to a spell or curse but quickly realised sadly it was teenage hormones. Perks of being stuck at the age of 19 for hundreds of years.
“(L/n) !! You have soccer practice first period ! What are you doing with that boy?!” The thunderous tells of coach Lawrence sent you flying in the air out of shock and fear. Both you and Douxie quickly jumped apart, fear on both your faces as Coach Lawrence yelled at you from the doorway to the languages block.
“Umm nothing Coach. He was ummm...ummm here about a match between Arcadia Oaks high and Arcadia Oaks Academy..yeah umm he says we should play a friendly next Monday !” You quickly yelled back, fearing coach Lawrence would see through your lie.
However you appeared to be in the clear, as a relived look crossed the Coach’s face.
“Oh well okay then.....But shouldn’t you be practicing on the field then !” Just as you thought we calm he started yelling again and you quickly scampered away, running towards coach to head to the field.
Behind you Douxie finally snapped out of his fearful state, having been spooked by Coach’s sudden appearance. He watched you run back into your school, not missing the wink and small wave you sent his way as you disappeared behind the door.
“She’s really something...” A love struck expression made its way across Douxie’s face as thought about how close the two of you had been, the smell of your perfume and the cute way your nose crinkled when you got angry.
Regardless of the magic coursing through your veins and the hatred the pair of you shared for each other it was clear there was something more between the two of you.

▬◊☆Memories
A/N: Seeing as someone requested part two of Konoha’s angst, which is right here, I have decided to do it and also, late birthday fic because why not? Let’s get started.
~
Y/N usually went by every Saturday to check up on Konoha. And on that one fateful day where she was told that he had woken up, she hadn’t expected for him to lose all of his memories. He only recalled his own name and the look that he had given her, that look. It wasn’t pitiful, it was merely curious as to why she was there and holding his hand.
It made her mad.
Not at him, of course. None of it was his fault. It wasn’t his fault that he was stuck in a coma for three years, it wasn’t that he should’ve been careful. Y/N was the one that let him go out of rage and he ended up getting hit by a truck. Luckily he survived.
But now I can’t ever apologize, Y/N thought as she stuck her hands in her pockets, head hung as she walked along the sidewalk. She could apologize, but it’d be like begging forgiveness from a doorknob. He didn’t even know what was going on and that burden would be awful on him.
It had been a month since he woke up and she hadn’t gone back. She couldn’t bear to face him again, not with those eyes. They used to be full of love and adoration for her, even when she was blinded with fury. And somehow she had the brilliant idea of letting him go. No joy came out of that, only sadness. That should’ve proved something.
Grabbing a coffee and a muffin from a random cafe that she had never been to, she decided to be brave and go back. The walk there was shorter than she had expected and the receptionist looked up at her and allowed her to walk to Konoha’s room. She knew that Konoha would be too weak to do anything, he had resorted to a newborn child. Maybe that was another reason why she had avoided him.
Knocking on the door, she saw his doctor talking quietly to him and Konoha nodding slowly. The doctor looked up at Y/N and said, “Ah, perfect timing, come on in. I have wonderful news.”
“Did he get his memories back?” Y/N said, hope clear in her voice.
The doctor shook his head. “No, but he’s out of his minimally conscious state, which is a massive improvement. When you saw him, he was conscious but seconds after you left, he had fallen asleep again. He’s been doing exercises and he appears to be fine, he’s getting his strength back. He hasn’t resorted to a mere child. However, there isn’t much we can do about his memories.”
Y/N walked over and sat down next to him, shamelessly staring at his eyes, the blanket covering him and the IV next to him.
“Hey, you’re that girl right?” Konoha asked sweetly. “Why did you run off?”
Y/N swallowed and looked at the doctor for help. He replied, “I think it would be better if you talked to him. It could help him regain some memories back. Not all of them. Just enough to make him...understand.” With those words, he left, closing the door behind him.
Looking back at Konoha, she took a deep breath and started talking. “I don’t know how to say this subtly, but it’s my fault you’re in this position.”
“Oh?” Konoha tilted his head, his expression looking like that of a curious puppy. “And you’re not going to tell me your name?”
Her heart couldn’t help but race, that personality of his hadn’t changed. It felt like a different version of their first meeting and somehow Konoha still acted just as coquettish as he had when they started talking. She rolled her eyes playfully and said, “Y/N L/N.”
“Y/N….hmm, it’s a pretty name. It suits you.” He grinned at her and she sighed.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re in a coma, you’ll still have this personality.” Y/N lifted her hand as if to stroke his hair back yet hesitated. He was awake and she was a total stranger to him. It was better when he was asleep, he wouldn’t be able to tell if it was her.
“You can do it. I don’t mind.” Konoha looked down at her hand and smiled a bit. “You used to do it all the time, didn’t you?”
“Didn’t think you’d remember that.” With his permission, she started brushing his hair back, running her fingers through the strands with a gentle smile on her face. He started blinking, his eyelids drooping until she said sternly, “Don’t fall asleep yet.”
“Why not?”
“Because...because I don’t know if you’ll wake up.” Y/N said, wincing at the words. She sounded pathetic to herself, as if hoping that Konoha would have enough energy to stay awake. He had just gotten out of a three year state of unconsciousness, maybe sleep would be a blessing to him.
“I’ll wake up. I always do.” Konoha reassured her, shutting his eyes at the renewal of her stroking his hair. It brought comfort to him, this stranger that knew him but he didn’t know. The look in her eyes was enough to break him. Racked with guilt, desperation, maybe hope as well. He wished he knew her. Perhaps when he woke up she’d still be there.
The feeling was strange. He had only known her for less than a day and already his stomach twisted from the sight of her. It wasn’t anything malicious, but something about her drew her to him. If only he had his memories back.
Y/N had fallen asleep right after Konoha, her head in his lap. It was an uncomfortable position, but somehow bringing solace to her. Staying by his side was all she needed, if he allowed her to be there. And luckily, he hadn’t shoved her away nor had he called the doctor to call security. The look in his eyes was the same one she had seen when they first met. All those years making platonic memories together before they realized they felt something more for the other.
~
“And that’s my foolproof plan of how to ask the girl out!” Konoha said proudly, crossing his arms and grinning at Y/N, who was currently sitting in a bean bag with chips in her hands.
Monotonously, she replied, “And somehow you haven’t covered the part where she will reject you.”
“Would it kill you to be on my side and not say anything snarky for one day?!” That was their normal routine, they always made fun of one another and they loved it. The girl Konoha was talking about was right in front of him and he was trying to see if she’d give anything up, any clue that this would work. Would she reject him? Nah. But would she?
“Yeah, it would, sunshine, now your brilliant plan sucks. You’re not getting her flowers and you’re not going to climb into her window to leave stuff there, that’s stalkerish, creepy and she’d see you as...what’s the word...you know the girl that was obsessed with--”
“Are you calling me a yandere?”
“Yep.” She grinned as she popped another chip in her mouth and offered some to him. He groaned and put his forehead on her shoulder. “What if she does say no?”
“Well, she’d be an idiot but that would mean you have more time to not worry about anything. So calm down, she’ll love you.”
~
What Y/N hadn’t known on that day was that it was her, she was the one he was crushing on . The feeling had been mutual and he had been the happiest he had ever been. Of course, up to this point.
When Konoha woke up again, he could feel his little hunger coming back to him. He was only allowed a bit of food so as to not upset his stomach. But looking down carefully, he saw Y/N sleeping on his lap and the sight made him smile for the first time since he woke up. Carefully, he put his hand on her hair, running his hand through the tresses.
The movement made Y/N stir awake and look at him with the same look she had given him when he had woken up for the first time. Shamelessly, she asked, “Do you remember anything?”
“It’s not like we’re in a fairy tale, my dear Y/N.” Konoha didn’t even know how easy it was to talk to her, if only he did get the memories back.
Clicking on a button to ask for food, he looked at her. “I would share, but I’m hungry.”
Making her laugh, she placed her hand on his shoulder and nodded. “I’ll see you next week.”
“What about tomorrow?” He asked, obvious hope in his eyes. Had he imprinted on her that easily? Maybe his memories could be coming back slowly with every minute that she was there. She nodded, already planning to cancel anything that she would have the next day. His doctor was walking down the hallway and she asked, “Is it possible that--”
“Yes. It is entirely possible that happy triggers may assert his brain into a state where he recalls several bits of his past before the accident. Take you, for example. He may not remember you but a part of his brain does, thus simultaneously inserting back serotonin and pieces of what he does envision.”
With that answer, she decided that she’d go back as many times as she could.
~
A year of this had gone by. Within three months of his awakening, Konoha had been allowed to go home and Y/N took him into her house as she was his first contact in case of an emergency. He had been watched carefully and to be honest, Y/N had never felt more relieved.
Nine months later, he was able to walk around at a normal pace and actually was able to do a lot of things he couldn’t do six months previously. Y/N was always there for him, chiding herself if she ever thought of leaving him behind.
“You don’t need to be with me all the time, you know?” Konoha said, kissing the top of her head. “I’m okay. I can walk normally now and you know, even if I don’t remember everything about us, I do remember how we went out.”
“Because I told you and you decided to forget that too!” Y/N replied.
He started laughing and shook his head. “No, I call it a selection of memories.”
Maybe it was a selection but as she put her head on his chest and his arms wrapped around her waist to pull her closer, she didn’t care. He chose her again. Even through everything he had gone through, he chose her again. Closing her eyes with a soft smile, she started drifting back to sleep as he stroked her hair, humming their song.
“I love you, “ he mumbled. “I always will.”
“I love you too.”
The promise of loving Y/N that he had made to himself had never once been broken for the rest of their lives.

A Weekend in Rome
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kihyun x Reader Genre: Fluff Word Count: 2,2k Summary: Your business trip to Rome turned out completely different from what you’d imagined, as your attractive co-worker decided to accopany you.
You never really like rules. It was easier to not restrict yourself, in the end you would just be disappointed with yourself for not being able to follow them. So you only had one thing that could be considered a rule. A simple one that you had just put out there for yourself to keep an eye out. You never really thought that you would find yourself in a situation that required you to listen to yourself. Your rule had been to never date or get romantically involved with a co-worker or to simply fall for one. The emphasis lies on the ‘had been’ because at this very moment you couldn't be further away from following it.
You were sitting in a cafe and fidgeted with the sugar packets, neatly putting them in their container and then spilling it out again to arrange them differently. It wasn't out of boredom, rather out of pure nervousness with a slight hint of terror.
When you had agreed to come to this conference you never would have dreamed that the head of marketing would tag along. You had envisioned this trip as a nice getaway, a possibility to work with it not feeling like work at all.
Rome had been a dream destination for you since you were little and to have the opportunity to go there for a long weekend with it being completely paid by your company had made it even better. You only had to attend a few talks and give a 30-minute presentation yourself, easy peasy. The rest of the time you would have been free to roam the city and to do every touristy and non-touristy thing you could think of. This plan had been crossed effortlessly by Yoo Kihyun himself.
The small cafe near the venue was nearly empty apart from you and Kihyun, who now made his way back to you, two coffees in hand. He sported you a bright smile and sat down opposite of you. You quickly grabbed the sugar packets that were still sprawled over the entire table and shoved them into the container, ruining your last 5 minutes of meticulous work. You tried to smile back at him but knew that this was not your usual charming professional smile but the awkward smile of your thirteen-year-old self trying to talk to a boy. You had been thoroughly convinced that you had dropped that bashful, clumsy version of yourself ages ago. But here you were surprising yourself in the most uncalled for and unwanted way possible.
"I gotta say you were pretty impressive up there," Kihyun loosened the slim black tie around his neck and opened the top button. It was a hot day, the sun almost at its highest point grilling all that stood in its way. Part of you missed the wonderfully climated hall you had spent the last 3 hours in because now the only thing that cooled you slightly was the soft fresh breeze which gradually flowed through the stuffy mediterranean air. He rolled up the sleeves of his button down without breaking eye contact. And with that simple course of action he made the day a little hotter. You felt your ears slowly turn red as you tried to look as normal as you could even after the unexpected compliment and now the slow transition from business to casual was messing with your brain considerably.
You couldn't be serious. This wasn't your first date. In fact you didn't know if this could even be called a date. You had held your presentation an hour ago and afterwards he just asked you to grab coffee.
That is all this was.
That is all this was, you repeated to yourself. But you had no chance in avoiding how handsome the man before you was. You had seen him in a few board meetings before and even though your two departments usually worked closely together you seldomly had any face-to-face contact with him since his office was in a different building complex. Luckily for you, because even though you never really fell for him, which would definitely be against your rule, you still were very much attracted to him and had trouble staying focused in the very few times you actually occupied the same space just like now.
"Thanks," you were able to mumble. You took your coffee from the tray and gave him a small nod.
"So tell me more about what you found out.”
After hearing those words you immediately relaxed. This wasn't a date. Not at all. He just wanted to talk to you about your work. That you could do. There was no reason to be awkward, this was strictly professional. You sighed in relief and started to explain all the various components of your talk and went further into detail. He listened to you attentively while sipping his coffee.
"So as I said it is extremely vital to continue monitoring -"
"-You know I gotta say I like you better that way"
"Excuse me?"
"Well you seemed really uncomfortable since I invited you. It's nice to see you relax a bit. Makes me feel less like I am forcing you out on a date"
"A....a date?"
"Yeah a date. Did I not make that clear?" He looked a little lost and you could clearly see the gears inside his head turning. "I'm sorry. I really thought that would have been obvious." He chuckled and you were completely unable to focus.
Your response probably took you longer than it was comfortable for both parties. But you couldn't believe that you got this all wrong. So this was supposed to be a date. Well that changed things. Or did it really? If you were comfortable talking to him a second ago why would you now be this damn flustered. Sure he was intimidatingly perfect and having taken an interest in him over the last year or so made you not wanting to screw up. So sure nervousness was perfectly appropriate. Still this was your chance. Your chance to get to know him. And what did you plan to do, run? Like hell that would be a good idea. You were here, he was here and you were in goddamn Rome having clearly left your one rule at the airport. So screw it. Might as well make the best of it.
You brushed a stray strand of hair back over your ear and mustered your courage.
"I’m sorry. A date sounds great and it gives us some time to get to know each other and even though we've been working together for a year now I hardly know you."
"Well it's not like you ever gave me a chance. You usually just rush out of the meetings I am part of and I rarely see you at the cafeteria." You knew exactly why you didn't try to get any close to him because you would have probably fallen for him instantly. As you were doing now.
“I mean I could have asked you out via email but let's be honest that would have been really weird. Attached you can find the overview we discussed and also would you be interested in grabbing a coffee with me' I don't think so." You giggled.
"Actually I got one of those once. From Minhyuk in sales. I really didn't know how to respond”
"Funny I got one or those as well." Both of you burst out into laughter.
“But seriously though. It's like whenever I see you, you are running all over the place your bright yellow binder in hand. And I never see you at the cafeteria. You're really not that easy to get close to."
"I'm sorry I feel like I was just dashing through life the last couple of months. I mean you know how stressful the whole project was. So I never really had time to myself or for others"
“Well sounds to me like it’s about damn time you had some fun.” He grabbed your hand and pulled you from your seat, quickly wrapping an arm around your waist to prevent you from stumbling. You were close to him. Too close. You could feel the heat rushing towards your head and forgot to breathe for what felt like forever. His face was now only a few inches away from you. Your eyes were drawn towards his lips and for a split second you couldn’t stop your mind from going places you had tried to avoid. You could just simply kiss him, it would be so easy. The only thing you’d had to do would be to place your hand on the back of his neck and slowly draw him in. You could do that. Probably.
“So where do you wanna go first? I know some really nice spots”
You steadied your footing and straightened your skirt steadily brushing away the wrinkles and the thoughts that were filling your head. “Sure surprise me”
And surprise you he did. You spend most of the day going from gallery to museum and marveled at the beautiful architecture. Your plan had only involved the mainstream tourist spots, the blatantly obvious go to spots. But it was paling in comparison to the places he showed you.
He excitedly told you everything he knew about the places he showed you all the while never leaving your side. You tried your best to let your eyes remain on the things he was telling you about but ever so often you couldn’t stop yourself from admiring the man beside you.
The bright midday sun was highlighting the sharp edges of his face making it look even more perfect than it already was. His laugh and smile were intoxicating, making you smile brightly everytime and making you want to spend every waking second of this weekend with him. Seeing him wildly gesticulate in the air because words were not enough to convey his excitement, seeing his eyes light up when he noticed how interested you were and most of all making you feel like you were the only thing that mattered. He was able to casually take your hand whenever it was necessary to not lose you or simply because just standing next to you didn’t cut it.
“How do you even know of these places?” you had asked him once you entered a quiet alley looking for a specific restaurant he’d been talking about for the whole day.
“Well I spent the last few years at this conference, just with a different employer. So once I got the main touristy things out of the way I got bored and started to wander around, talked to locals, that kind of thing. I mean touristy spots aside those small places have their own charm and they are not so damn crowded all the time” you turned a corner.
The alley you had entered was gorgeous and it looked like an old painting or at least a picture perfect little world. The narrow cobblestone path wound around the houses. Not the straight lines of streets that dictated where you were going but rather like a little stream that was built gradually to connect the houses without wanting to disturb any of them. The buildings were overgrown with ivy and every house seemed to have their own little hanging garden perched upon the small balconies. Everything was framed in green and a few radiant specks of colour in the form of tiny flowers. You hadn’t moved but were just admiring the view. Trying to take it all in and commit it to memory.
“Ah there we are” The place he pointed to was a small window front, not more than the little shops at home that had been neatly arranged next to each other. It only had a few chairs outside.
“Come on. Let’s eat”
Kihyun was standing right beside you and took your hand, gently guiding you towards a free table. “
The meal had been delicious and after it was over none of you had the intention of leaving instead you spent the rest of the evening talking until the sun was slowly setting. The twilight illuminated the small world you were currently lost in. Sitting in this tiny restaurant and talking to the man you had tried so hard to avoid.
Giving in had been so easy. You didn’t want to fall in love, hell you even went to such length as to not give him any chance to really talk to you. And absolutely you were right. Because right now that mushy feeling in your stomach had grown to a size you could no longer ignore. No you didn’t want to fall in love but you sure as hell were. He’s shown you his favorite places, the hidden gems in his tour all putting one thought in your head that you couldn't shake: He seems to like you. Or was he just playing with you? Taking you along to not spend the weekend alone and ditching you once you were back home? Maybe just maybe he’d be capable of this. And let’s be honest just because you were getting attached wouldn’t mean he’d do the same, now would it. But right now you didn’t care. Even if he was just playing some wicked game with you, you had already fallen too deep. Too deep to realize it even if you wanted to and too deep to care that he might destroy that little world of yours in 2 days time.

What if I go ahead an ask,,,, for all the questions? 👀👀💞
Wait but Lena that’s illegal- okay, since someone figured they could ask for all of the questions, this actually took time to sit down and write out. Anyway, thanks for requesting all of them. My favorite for a heads up is “bronze”.
black - how do you and your f/o comfort each other during rough times?
Rough days most of the time have to do with mental health for us, either when his PTSD from Egypt kicks in, or my mental lows become unbearable. When that happens, we hold each other, often in silence, and take comfort in each other’s presence. When we’re at our worst, words are often too painful to say, so we just rest, knowing we love and need each other, and that we’ll thank each other when we feel better.
dim gray - what do you two wear to formal events? what kinds of formal events do you go to together?
I envision Jotaro wearing a class, black suit, his hair slicked back, and a tight grip around my waist. We like to coordinate, a classic black suit that makes his eyes pop, while I’m in a dress like this one, with minimal but glowy makeup and my hair straightened and pinned back. We both like a more clean cut but sexy and sophisticated look.
eggshell - how do you show each other that you trust one another?
With secrets. Neither one of us open up easily at all, so if we are each other’s first person to tell anything to, especially when talking about our feelings, that’s how we know we trust each other.
beau blue - what would the both of you do together on a lazy summer afternoon?
We’ll spend the day together in the park under the shade of a tree, a huge picnic blanket beneath us, a packed lunch in tow. We’d either read or bring work that can be done on paper. No computers in sight, just too adults relaxing together.
french blue - after you two have gone stable, what kinds of dates do you go on?
Even in the beginning we went on restaurant dates, and that has not changed. When it was just the two of us (no Juro and Tamara), and we’d reached an anniversary, we’d drive into the city and have a good meal at a five star place. one regular dates, we frequent Chez Lorraine (a cafe I love) when staying at the Dutch SPW location, and Tonio’s when staying in Morioh.
indigo - who says ‘i love you’ first? how does it happen?
I say it first, just because I need that verbal affirmation more than he does. He makes fun of me for it sometimes, but he always says it back, with the same calm and assured smile and a nudge to pull me closer and hold me.
electric violet - what’s something odd, extravagant, or thrilling that you and your f/o like to do sometimes?
We go to the spa together sometimes, especially if it’s after a long mission with SPW. Not that weird but it is funny to see Jotaro with the classic mud mask and cucumbers on the eyes.
lilac - what’s something that makes you and/or your f/o nostalgic?
For me, it having Dutch pancakes in the morning, it makes me think of visiting my grandfather, or my mom making them for me and friends after sleepovers. Jotaro tells me he’s taken back to grad school everytime we work at the dining room table together, but I think that’s too cheesy.
tea rose - when you and your f/o first get together, how do you act towards each other in terms of affection? is it awkward? does it come naturally?
It was awkward at first. Like I said before, I need verbal affirmation, but Jotaro isn’t always good with expressing these things into words. But it is in these moments where he unpromptely speaks romantically and makes me feel he’s watching my back and that I am always loved and cared for.
wild watermelon - what’s both of your dream vacations like? do you agree on the location/activities?
I love to visit cities and go to museums and concerts, things to improve myself culturally. Jotaro unsurprisingly, loves more tropical vacations and beaches: he never really leaves work at home. Luckily with working for SPW, we can do both once a year.
jasper - how fast do you two take your relationship?
We took our relationship pretty quickly. We met in grad school a year right as we were both beginning our theses. We got married until two years later, and didn’t have Juro until two years after that.
auburn - what’s one unhealthy or lavish food you can both agree is worth indulging in?
We both love to eat Holly’s cooking. She always manages to feed us the least healthy things imaginable (and she even makes sure it’s kosher for me ugh love her) but we love her for it. Also, Grandma Suzie always feeds us this delicious New York tiramisu when we visit her, and that’s amazing as well.
coffee - do either of you have a garden or any house plants? if so, how good are you at taking care of them?
Neither one of us has a green thumb, so even if we do have houseplants, they don’t last long. We do have a big fish tank though! We’re great at taking care of those guys.
flame - would you two be more prone to get up early and watch the sunrise or go out and watch the sunset? alternatively, would you stay up until the sunrise and then sleep ‘till one?
We’d be more prone to watch the sunset. When we can, we both love to sleep in. One time, we both instinctively woke up for work at 7am, realizing it was a holiday, and “cuddled” sleepily until 1 pm.
bronze - do you and your f/o have any kinds of traditions you keep?
We binge watch Columbo every year on his birthday, and DBZ every year on mine. We also have a tradition of switching labs for a day. Our graduate lab assistants and interns love switch day, because it’s always funny to see me freaking out about picking up a crab, just as it’s funny to see Jotaro confused over DNA sequencing. I know nothing about marine life, he knows nothing about molecular biology and that’s okay.
canary yellow - what are the silliest nicknames you and your f/o use for each other?
Jotaro once heard my mom call my “doobbles” over the phone and called me that for a week after. Since I’m sensitive about nicknames and don’t like calling other people awful ones, Jotaro just gets Jojo.
granny smith apple - if you and your f/o had to move someplace new, where would it be? why?
We did have to move someplace new. We left the US together after grad school to travel, and now switch back and forth between our SPW location in Amsterdam, and our location in Japan. We go where the organization needs us, so even if it isn’t the most stable, we have each other, plus Juro and Tamara love seeing the world with us.
hunter green - what’s your favorite thing to do outdoors together?
We’ve gone scuba diving together. Just as one might expect being with Jotaro Kujo, I never go under as long as he does, but it’s nice to spend time on the boat nearby, relaxing and keeping him company.
mountain meadow - on a particularly cold, rainy, or otherwise stay-in-doors kind of day, what activities do you do with your f/o?
Rainy days are when we experiment with cooking, since we can’t just go out for dinner like we might be inclined to. Jotaro is a much better cook than I am, but I have had my moments of not burning the food and actually making something tasty. I’m the better baker also.

Caught in Her Eyes (Part 3)
Thank you for continuing to follow Anna Marie Lee’s story. This part was originally intended as a short story for the 1000 word plot exercise of Week 6. I ended up going way over the word limit, but who cares? I’m with the result either way. Besides, I already have another story in mind that hopefully can fit that 1000 word limit.
I really had fun writing this part, it was a bit difficult at the end as I had written 2 versions of how this part would end. I really liked how both versions sounded, and was hard pressed to choose just one. In the end, I went with the one I felt was more natural. I hope you have fun reading this 3rd part as much as I had writing it.

The summer sun rose high in the sky as Anna Marie stepped into the empty commercial space situated along Portobello Road. She slid her sunglasses towards the top of her head as her eyes took in the empty space before her. She walked towards the center, and slowly turned, envisioning all the possibilities.
With wide eyes and a smile on her face, she gazed at her partner and said, “This place is perfect!”...
... She explained how she imagines the bar to be situated at the center of the wall adjacent to the door. Instead of menus plastered on the wall behind the bar, she sees a painting made by local artists sandwiched between rows of shelves filled with a variety of coffee mugs, coffee blends, tea leaves, perhaps even some spices, cookies and coffee related books! The painting could then be sold to any customer who takes an interest. Across the bar, she would be a fake fireplace surrounded by loves eats and barrel chairs where customers could lounge around with books or simply chat with one another. On either side of the painted fireplace would be shelves filled with sculptures, pictures and books of all kinds. She might even add a few boards of chess and other quiet games as well.
It was perfect! She looked at the man standing right next to her and smiled. Three years ago, she never would’ve imagined she’d be here envisioning her future bookstore cafe. It was after all just three years ago that she’d met him, the man who’d pushed her towards turning her dreams into reality. She sipped her Starbucks coffee and closed her eyes as the memory of three months ago flowed into her mind.
                                                         -------
Anna Marie walked through the doors of Angels and Devils and was greeted by a handsome blonde devil. “Hey Anna Marie! haven’t seen you in a while! How have you been?”
“Hey Stephan! Never thought I’d ever see the day where our little angel would one day dress as the devil!” she teased.
“What choice do I have? It’s the women’s turn to be angels tonight.” Stephan complained with a wink. “ I see you’ve brought company tonight.”
“This is Terrence, he was part of the tour I had just finished. Terrence, meet Stephan, a childhood friend.”
Stephan guided them to a corner booth, then left them with two copies of the menu. A couple minutes later, he came back with a tall glass of Kahlua, on the house, and asked if they were ready to order.
Surprised by the unusual gesture, Anna Marie asked Stephan for the reason behind it. “James says it's your birthday, so your favorite drink is on him tonight.” he explained.
“Jamie’s here tonight?! Tell him I said hi and thank you.”
“No need. I think he’ll be coming over here sometime later. You can give him your thanks then. So are you ready to order yet?”
“Yes! I think I’ll get the grilled salmon belly with chips on the side. Terrence? How about you?”
Terrence glanced at the menu, nodded and said, “I’ll have one Fuller’s London Pride with and a basket buffalo wings please.”
“Fish for the lady and wings for the guy. Got it! I’ll be back with your orders in 10 to 15 minutes.”
“If I may ask, who is James? Or Jamie?” Terrence asked with curious eyes.
“Jamie’s my little brother. He’s actually a wine sommelier teaching WSET lectures at Leiths School of Food and Wine. He often comes here to help at the bar whenever the pub’s short staffed.”
“I see.”
The following minutes were then filled with talks about Anna Marie’s family, friends, and childhood memories. Naturally, Terrence also shared a multitude of stories from his time in Hong Kong. Anna Marie laughed her head off when he shared the story about the time he was taunting a female classmate, it ended with him getting kicked in the crotch! By the time their dinner had arrived some 10 minutes later, she’d already seen him laugh, frown, scowl and sneeze! It was so fun watching the different emotions cross his face.
Halfway through their delicious meal, Anna Marie had been surprised yet again. Terrence wasn’t just a foreign tourist as she had initially thought, but rather a naturalized British Citizen! He had been living in London for the past 8 years as a financial consultant to one of the biggest insurance firms in England. No wonder he suggested the cab ride, he already knew how far Portebello road was from Westfield Shopping Centre! The sly fox!
Minutes after swallowing her last bite of the salmon, Anna Marie was showered with yet another pleasant surprise. Jamie came over, bringing with him a candle topped Tiramisu cup, and several angels and devils singing Happy Birthday behind him. Tears welled up in her eyes as the crowd came forward to hug her one by one, wishing her a happy birthday and to visit more often. Moments later the crowd dispersed with a few throwing flirtatious glances Terrence’s way. Jamie stayed for a few more minutes reminding her of mom’s upcoming birthday as well as next week’s get together before going back to work at the bar.
“Your brother seemed reluctant to leave your side Anna Marie.” Terrence said as he took a sip of his ale while looking at Jamie’s retreating back.
Anna Marie waved her hand as she said, “Pshaw! Don’t worry about him. He’s just a tad bit overprotective of me. He’s always like that towards men he doesn’t know.”
“In that case, I’d best invite him to a drink sometime, get acquainted.”
“Whatever for?”
Terrence leaned forward, touched Anna Marie’s right hand with his left, and gazed straight into her two toned eyes as he said, “Spending tonight with you has been the most fun I’ve had in weeks Anna Marie. Your colorful and fun-loving attitude makes me want to take you out again, get to know you some more.” He looked down at their hands, slid his under hers and gently held her hand in place. He looked into her eyes and, “Won’t you Anna Marie? Won’t you have dinner with me again sometime this week?”
Anna Marie was shocked speechless. She sat there, silently gazing into his bright, hazel brown eyes as she tried to absorb, to decipher the meaning behind his words. He wanted to take her out to dinner? Whatever for? For business? For work? No, she doesn’t think it's for work. He said he wanted to get to know her better. Why? Was he attracted to her? Did he intend to court her? Pursue her? Or did he just want to get inside her pants? Her mind was flooded with such thoughts that she forgot to breathe for a second or two. It wasn’t until Terrence had called her name that her mind magically calmed down, and she remembered to breathe again.
She closed her eyes and breathed five calming breaths, opened her eyes and faced Terrence’s gaze head on. Anna Marie didn’t want to misunderstand his intentions by assuming things, so she asked, “Why would you want to take me out?”
“I find you very attractive Anna Marie. I’d like to take you out on romantic dates, if you’ll let me.”
Anna Marie blushed. Terrence’s sudden confession of attraction was heady. She’d never been approached so strongly before so she didn’t know how to respond. How she wished her brother could help her right now. She studied his face as she looked for an answer. She is currently single, and without a lover. He is fairly handsome, and as a financial consultant, might be fairly rich too. But he could also be mean, and dictative, or perhaps even dangerous… no she doesn’t really think he’s dangerous. She wouldn’t have hopped into that cab had she truly thought he was. So should she say yes?
With her mind made up, Anna Marie held the hand holding hers and said, “One dinner date. Friday night. And then we’ll see what happens next.”
Terrence lifted her hand, brought her fingers to his lips and smiled. “Deal!”
                                                        -------
The sound of her name being called brought Anna Marie back to the present. Slowly she opened her eyes and smiled at Terrence, “You seemed lost in thought. What were you thinking about?”
“Hmm… nothing much. I was just remembering that first night at Angels and Devils.”
“Oh… I remember that night. I approached you after the tour wanting to thank you, and then somehow ended up joining you at the pub.”
“And then, rather than persuade me to take the translating job, like I thought you would, you ended up asking me out instead!”
They both laughed at the memory, Anna Marie looked up at the man who changed her life, “Do you ever wonder what would’ve happened had I not agreed to that dinner invitation?”
Terrence stared at the ceiling with a pensive look, “Hmmm… not really.” He wrapped his arms around her waist and smiled, “But I know what I would’ve done had you not said yes that night.”
“What’s that?”
Terrence gave her one of his most devilishly charming smiles and said, “I would’ve pestered you endlessly until you said yes!”
Anna Marie laughed at his answer, how very Terrence! His persistence was one of the things that she liked about him. “It’s a good thing I said yes then. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t be standing here right now, beginning my journey to fulfilling my dream of finally opening a coffee shop where people don’t just come to drink, instead they come to relax, read books, and bond with people over cups of coffee and tea.”
“And it's a good thing you did! Otherwise I wouldn’t be standing here hugging my very pregnant wife!”
She smiled at the quiet reminder. Having to start both her dream family and cafe at the same time, Anna Marie felt blissfully content. She couldn’t have asked for a better beginning to a new chapter in her life. “Thank you for joining that tour and lingering after everyone else had left.”
Terrence lifted her chin and gazed lovingly into her blue and brown eyes, “Thank you for being born with those wonderfully rare eyes of yours. They’re what captured me in the first place.”
“Thank you for being caught by my eyes.”
He leaned forward, further closing the space between them whispering, “I’m happy to be … caught in your eyes...” and then his lips closed over Anna Marie’s silencing any further talks.
                                                        -------
Author’s note: Thank you for reading Anna Marie’s story all the way till the end!
“Caught in Her Eyes” is the first story I’ve ever written that feels complete and not end at a cliffhanger. I had enjoyed writing Anna Marie Lee’s story and see it unfold. And I hope you enjoyed it too.
Please comment your thoughts on the story below, and I’ll be sure to read them.

Hello! Can I get a BTS descriptive ship? I love visiting new places and learning about different cultures. I’m happy go lucky and i love spreading happiness and smiles to other people but I get stressed about my studies and the pressure to excel and make my parents proud.
I’m a bookworm. Many times I stay awake late at night reading books. In school I’m labeled as the good girl who never breaks any rules and is sincere but, sometimes it is difficult to always live up to that image. I love to dance. I love to travel as travelling helps me widen my horizon and the way to look at life and make new friends and have amazing memories. I have been learning classical dance form of my country since I was a small kid. People say I have an amazing voice and I sing in my college concerts .
I love learning to play instruments like guitar, drums and violin. I play flute in my school’s band. The people who are close to me, their opinion matters to me the most and I always crave for their support in any activity I do. I tend to overwork myself in order to be a perfectionist which leads to not taking care of my health many a times. I tend to go out of my way to help others and make them feel comfortable if they are in a new atmosphere.
I love to spend time with children as they tend to put a smile on my face without any effort. I’m the only child in the family so I always wanted to share my secrets with someone who would keep them safe and help me find my way on the path I have chosen to walk, as I don’t want to burden my parents with my worries because they have done so much for me.
I want to give the best to my parents and make them proud of me, like taking them on world tours and giving them all the comforts they deserve. I always think good of every person which many a times leads to me being left disheartened as they just use me and then leave to never come back. My family is my strength and my support. I’m called the confused one in my family as I take a lot of time to even decide what to eat which leads to lot of leg pulling.
I’m an author and I’m studying law and literature together.
Your blog is amazing. I really love your work. You put in some much effort in the ships. You put smile on the person’s face with all the imagination. Thank you so much.
_________________________________________
First off thank you so much! I’m glad you like my work. I had a lot of fun working on your ship so I hope that you like it!
gifs are not mine!
Who I ship you with:
Tumblr media
Hoseok is drawn to your happy-go-lucky personality and kind heart. He loves that you are willing to see the good in everyone and that you are able to spread happiness to those around you, including himself. He also greatly admires how much you care for your family, especially your parents as those relationships are of great value. Same with your love of children as he would want to be with someone who he would want a family with in the future/who would want a family with him. Hoseok loves how musically talented you are, whether it be your dancing, singing, or playing an instrument. He would definitely want to watch you perform and/or practice whenever he could. He would definitely be your biggest supporter, cheering you on whenever he could and reminding you of how great and talented you are. He also understands the want for things to be perfect but would want you to prioritize your health so he may try to interfere if he believes you are pushing yourself too hard. Even though you are a source of happiness for him, he would also want to be a source of happiness and comfort for you. He would want you to know that he would be there for you if you are ever stressed and need someone to lessen the burden. Even when he is busy, he would always do his best to make time for you since your well-being matters to him. While you’re with him, you can leave your stress and worries behind for a bit and just try to relax and be yourself with him. He cares for you greatly and would make sure this is known no matter what the occasion.
His favorite thing about you: Your personality, how much you care for others, how musically talented you are, the fact you can make him smile.
Your first date: Something that can be fun but also romantic at the same time. Hoseok would take you around the city where the two of you could spend the day however you wanted. Shopping, going out to eat, or just to sightsee. It would be a way for the both of you to open up and have fun while still being memorable.
Mini Scenario:
After walking around for a few hours, you and Hoseok had decided to stop and take a break for a bit at one of the nearby cafes. It had been a fun day so far, full of sightseeing, joking around, and you had even bought a few things that had caught your eye in some of the stores. It was still fairly early and wouldn’t be dark for a while so you two would probably end up staying out for another couple of hours before deciding to call it a day and head home. Besides, the two of you were enjoying yourselves quite a bit, not having to worry about the stresses of work and school and just enjoying spending time with each other.
You were sitting at a small table by the entrance as Hoseok waited in line to get both of your drinks, watching all the people who walked by the large window. There were couples walking by holding hands, people who seemed to be rushing from one place to another, and the occasional family who would walk by as well. One of the little kids had actually noticed you staring and stopped to wave at you which made you smile and laugh a bit as you waved back.
“What are you laughing about?” Hoseok asked as he took the seat in front of you, his sudden appearance startled you a bit which caused him to jump as well. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you like that!”
“It’s okay,” you assured, smiling again when he handed you your drink, “oh and since you asked, there was a little kid waving at me which is why I was laughing.”
“How cute!” he cooed with a smile of his own, “Aw now I wish I was here quicker so I would have seen it!” It amused you how dramatic he was acting at the moment but you didn’t comment on it and simply enjoyed the show. Though your expression had been a clear giveaway that you were enjoying his reaction.
The two of you sat in the cafe and talked with each other for a bit. Hoseok told you a bit about the new album he and the members were working on, plus a few embarrassing stories of the members to make you laugh. You then proceeded to tell him about how your studies were going and what you were envisioning moving forward. The whole time he was very active in the conversations, asking you questions about your classes or a specific project you had mentioned so that he could learn more about you. By the time the conversation finished, you had both finished your drinks and decided it was best to start walking around again before it got too late to do so.
“That was nice,” you said as the two of you left the cafe, “I can see this possibly becoming a new date spot for us.”
“If you like it then of course it can!” he responded. Hoseok paused and looked around a bit before turning back to you, “So, where would you like to go now?”

{Mermaid!AU} Johnny
happy birthday to jonathan [it’s late, i know] | other nct mermaid aus
“guess who just got CURSED?”
you look up from your computer and stare directly at the person who’d rudely interrupted your five hour streak of studying
it’s none other than seo youngho
a.k.a chatterbox, a.k.a your embarrassing friend from childhood, a.k.a johnny - as he insisted everyone call him
you grumble, returning your tired eyes back to your screen
finals are in three days, your notes are a mess, and the library group you usually hit the books with was nowhere to be seen
probably holed up in their dorms with textbooks up to their ears
johnny doesn’t seem to notice your gloomy aura, or take into consideration the fact that you’re ignoring him to do your work as he takes a seat opposite you
he throws a hand over the chair beside him casually and repeats what he just said
“hey - hey guess who just c u r s e d!”
“yeah, by the demon of never shutting up - right?”
johnny laughs off your sarcasm
“actually no, but guess who cursed me out? - turns out taeil really does have a limit when it comes to teasing”
you sigh, feeling bad for moon taeil - a senior student who seemingly means no harm to anyone and minds his own business for a fact
but who even johnny could break - it looks like
“he called me things ive never even heard of in my life, did you know asshat was an insult? i didn’t till today!”
he grins and you can tell that even though taeil might have snapped at johnny, it probably wasn’t that ugly of a situation
johnny has a skill that you’ve never seen in any other person before - no matter how annoying or how interuptive he is
and no matter how mad you get
you can’t stay mad at him - his face just makes everything less serious
his happy-go-lucky attitude vibrates through whatever angry wall you try to put up
which is why, even though he can be a little irksome because he’s more the outgoing, loud type
you do actually treasure him as a friend
but not right now,,,,,,,,,,,because finals
“johnny id love to hear more about how you’ve been magically turned into a frog by taeil cursing at you, but i dont have any clue what intro to physics is about and i have a test on it soon so please?”
you look over your laptop screen at him and johnny gives a dismissive wave of his hand
“you’re the brains of this friendship, you always have been - you’ll do fine!”
his words are playful - but they are a bit encouraging to hear
with that being said though, he gets up and gives your hair a messy ruffle
you swat at his hand
and he says he’ll text you later
before disappearing out of the library
you try to fix some loose strands, but end up ignoring your hair all together
eyes back on your screen, physics back to assaulting your brain
you don’t hear from johnny till finals actually start
you’ve spent all your time grinding on study sheets and note cards, that you only really notice you haven’t talked to him
when one of your study buddies - taeyong - asks if you can give johnny back the camera he lent him
you stare down at the nikon in your hands
it’s one of johnny’s favorites, he got it when you two were still in highschool together
it’s weird that he’d,,,,,,just let someone borrow it - let alone not hound them to give it back as soon as possible
you safely tuck the camera away in your bag, focusing instead on your tests at hand
when the day comes to an end, you’re exhausted and not looking forward to doing it all over again tomorrow for your other classes
but as you stop by the local cafe to get some much needed coffee, your fingers brush the camera again
right - i should stop by johnny’s apartment before i head to the dorms
you remind yourself
ending up in front of the apartment half an hour later, for some reason anxious about knocking on the door
you finally do - and to your surprise one of johnny’s four roommates open it
ten looks almost relieved to see you
“thank goodness! please tell me you know where johnny is?”
you pause and frown
“what - he’s not home?”
the happy spark dies in ten’s eyes as he realizes you have no clue what he’s talking about
“no,,,he hasn’t been home for three days straight! i thought he might have been with you-”
“with me? for three days?!?!”
ten shrugs, stepping aside so you can come in
“i don’t know, i thought he finally grew up and told you how he felt and you two you know,,,,,,,,,would just,,,,”
ten scratches behind his ear rather shyly
“would just enjoy it for a while alone -”
you don’t even want to know what ten is envisioning happening between you and johnny
so you cut in before he can go on with his wild ideas
“if he’s not here - and it’s been that long, it’s time we call the police.”
“yeah like they’ll believe us! they probably won’t do anything - johnny’s an adult, they’ll just say he took a surprise trip and didn’t warn anyone.”
you want to argue, but ten is most likely right - three days isn’t three months
and johnny is spontaneous, it’s not out of his nature to do random things at random times
but disappear? not tell anyone - not tell you, the person whose known him since before you two could even make out full sentences, where he was going?
you decide you’ll give your parents a call, see if they can call johnny’s parents and see if he went back home
you tell ten your plan and he gives you his number in case you find out anything
and when you get back to your dorm, you feel an uneasy weight in your chest
you sit down, knowing you should get back to your books
but instead you take out johnny’s camera and turn it on
the most recent photos are from some frat party johnny had went, there are silly photos of him and his roommates, and scenery shots that you know he takes for fun in the city
but you end up going farther back and you see photos from the last time you guys hung out
it had been on valentines day - and because you both were single and a little sulky about it
you’d decided to go out and just have fun
you look at the photos of you and johnny from karaoke, his face highlighted by the cheap disco lights and the shots of you mid-jump, microphone in hand - no inhibitions
there are photos from the hotpot you guys got, your face of awe as you stare down into the giant bowl - johnny holding his chopsticks up to his mouth like a walrus
and then there are photos of you on the balcony of his apartment
you don’t remember taking them or even being there with him after that
but there you are, leaning over the railing, staring up at the sky with johnny’s old varsity jacket over your shoulders
he must have taken this when you weren’t looking or didn’t know - you put the camera down and fall back against your bed
now that he’s not around making a big mess of my things or laughing out loud - i kind of miss all the noise he makes
you roll onto your side and check your phone for any new messages
there are some, but none from johnny
you press his contact and listen as it rings, and rings, and then the familiar
“what’s up! you’ve reached johnny - if you’re my mom, then you’ve reached seo youngho haha! leave a message or text-”
you hang up and sigh
no use worrying about him now, more finals tomorrow and it’s johnny - he should be fine
you tell yourself, but you don’t think you really believe it
finals end and the monday following is off as a little gift for students
you decide that since you have nothing better to do, you’ll try and see if you can scout out some of his favorite places and see if he’s around
but even after going every place you can think of, and not being sure how to feel when one of the students you talked to goes
“oh - are you dating him? i thought he was single.”
you debate whether or not you should make the trip to your old hometown
you’d called your parents, like you told ten you would, but your mom had said she didn’t know
apparently johnny’s family was on vacation right now - so the house was always empty
you have a hunch that maybe he’s hiding out there - so before you can stop yourself
you buy the train ticket
and come to terms with the fact that you’ll probably be skipping tuesday morning class
it’s not too long of a ride, but you spend it looking out the window - thinking about what you’ve got upcoming in the week
but your thoughts float back to johnny
the image of him sitting across from you in the library, laughing and reaching out to ruffle your hair
you remember how excited you’d both been when you got accepted to the same university
how johnny had picked you up in a spinning hug and left you breathless
you remember sitting beside him at orientation, already he’d managed to befriend at least ten people
and you’d wondered how in the world he just attracted other to his energy
you’ve always known him to be carefree and comedian at heart
which is why it was very new,,,,to feel worried about him - to feel scared to see if he was ok
when you walk up to the front door of a house you haven’t seen in a while - you recognize bits and pieces of it from your memory
you and johnny had learned to ride bikes together on his front lawn, how he’d nearly broken his knee falling out of the tree on the corner street trying to get your cat out of the branches
you hesitate before knocking - much like you’d hesitated in front of his apartment door back in the city
but to your shock, the hinges creak and with just the touch of your hand on it - the door opens and you’re meet with a silent hallway
isn’t this like,,,,,breaking and entering?
you think - but the thought doesn’t stop you from going inside and calling out johnny’s name
there’s no response but as you listen closely you can hear something,,,,,,,it’s coming from upstairs
is that - it sounds like the water is running in one of the bathrooms?
you pause and realize you’re that means someone is upstairs
it’s probably johnny! he totally came all the way back home to avoid finals - that idiot!
you rush up the stairs, the familiarity of the house comes back to you, and you find the bathroom with ease
you open it - not concerned about walking in on him, you and johnny went to summer camp together for three years so there’s nothing to be embarrassed about
but when you do - opening your mouth to triumphantly scold johnny about running away from his problems
you freeze
johnny is in the bathtub
or at least
something that looks like johnny is
it’s johnny from the waist up - but from the waist down
it’s a huge, glittering, orange scaled MERMAIDS TAIL?!?!?
your eyes widen and johnny lifts himself on his elbows, a look of horror across his own face
“wh-what are you doing here?!?!?!”
“who cares - johnny why are you a -”
without another word, he dunks his head back under - splashing you and the entire bathroom with a nearly soaking wave
“hey!”
you exclaim - stomping over and leaning over the ledge
you put your hand down, thinking you’ll grab his shoulder
but johnny emerges before you can - and you come face to face with your childhood bestfriend
but his usual features are somehow different - the gills that run below his jawline, the fluttering orange hues that have appeared on the contours of his skin, the casual smile replaced with what looks like genuine terror
“j-johnny, what’s going on?”
he stares - brown eyes darker than you’ve ever seen before
“didn’t i tell you - i got cursed.”
your face twists with confusion
“wh-what are you saying?”
“you weren’t listening? i told you - moon taeil cursed me!”
“he cursed you out! he just yelled at you! he didn’t turn you into a -”
johnny’s face doesn’t change - and you realize that,,,,,,,,,,,,he isn’t joking around
you can feel the water on the bathroom floor soaking through your clothes, the condensation dripping off the wall
how long has johnny been sitting in here?
you pull back a little
“h-how do you know it was him?”
johnny relaxes just a bit too - leaning his head against the wall of the bath
‘well considering he started yelling in tongues at me at first, and the next day i grew gills i would assume you know -”
he shrugs, big shoulders causing ripples through the water
“whatever, i can’t even move with this tail. i came home thinking i could try and figure out something on my own, but then my legs just - just turned into this!”
he closes his eyes and his voice is full of frustration
johnny hasn’t gotten angry in front of you in years - johnny hasn’t even ever raised his voice this way in years
you sigh
“well, ill just go back to school and find taeil and ask him how to fix this.”
johnny slowly opens his eyes back up, before turning to look at you
“don’t worry. this is my problem, you have other things to worry about.”
“what are you talking about - you’re my bestfriend and you’ve been cursed! this takes precedence over other things!”
johnny’s lips twitch - like he wants to say something and you’re half expecting him to
until he just tears his gaze from yours
“i said leave it alone. school is important and it’s all you care about anymore, so just let me deal with-”
you plunge your hand into the water, taking a hold of johnny’s and giving him a bit of a shock
“you’re suffering - how long have you been in this tub? ten says you’ve been gone three days! im not going to leave you, even if it means skipping school.”
johnny blinks, but then curses to himself
“right, ten. i should have at least called him-”
“johnny - you’ve been turned into a mermaid. you can’t even walk right now. let’s stop worrying about other people and figure out what to do ok?”
he doesn’t answer you for a moment
and you think he’s going to spew some more nonsense about refusing your help
but instead he weakly yanks his hand from yours
“can’t believe i had to be cursed for you to show any kind of interest in me again,,,,,”
you want to say something to that - but you ,,,, you have no idea how to respond
and instead you quietly get up and tell johnny you’ll go bring him some food
there’s nothing in the house so you make the short walk to your home
your mom looks shocked to see you, but stacks your arms full of food
before asking
“how is youngho? i miss that boy, remember when you two would stage fake weddings in the living room?”
you roll your eyes - telling her not to embarrass you
but as you’re walking on the path to johnny’s - you feel something,,,,weird
the camera full of photos johnny took of you
ten and others confusing you two for a couple
the plethora of memories you’ve had with johnny, all encompassed in this glowing, warm light in your memory
before, you were just happy with johnny as a friend - even sometimes a little annoyed by his rowdy presence throughout your life
but now it was,,,,,,it was different
something new was emerging with all of these events - but
you couldn’t think about that
after all,,,,,,,,,,,he’d been cursed,,,,,,,,,,,,solving that problem was what should be on your mind
you stay the night at johnny’s place, he can’t move from the bathtub so you leave food and spend some hours just talking to him
realizing as he tells you what has happened so far that even though you and him went to the same school, saw each other on a daily basis
you had never really
asked johnny how he was
how he was holding up
you just always assumed everything was fine - that he was always smiling because he was happy
but as johnny talks, he tells you that classes have been so-so, that he’s thought of switching majors, that he’s been getting into arguments with ten more often and that he hasn’t had a chance to do photography in a while
it reminds you about the camera - which you brought with you and you bring it to johnny
who sits in the tub, looking through them and stopping on that photo he took of you on his balcony
you watch him, seemingly hypnotized by it
before a smile cracks over his features
and he looks up at you
“isn’t it silly - how im looking at this photo of you instead of the real you that’s right in front of me?”
you chuckle, saying something in response about how you didn’t know he took the photo, how you’re not photogenic at all
and for a moment johnny goes back to cracking jokes, being the easy person to be around that you’ve known him to be
but at night, you’re curled up on the sofa - the sound of water turning on and off from upstairs makes you realize
nothing is normal right now - not johnny being cursed, not johnny getting frustrated and angry, and not your feelings about him
before making the trip back to school, you visit johnny whose scratching at his gills and thrashing in the tub
you rush to the side of it and ask if he’s ok
“it just,,,,it hurts - when the gills get dry it feels like i can’t breathe -”
you cup some water from the sink and bring it up to his neck, rubbing your fingers along the gills
johnny makes a noise and leans into your touch
“does this help?”
your voice shakes and johnny nods,
“when you touch me - everything hurts less.”
the moment plays over and over in your mind as you make your way back to campus
it’s all you can think about until you finllay track down moon taeil
he’s alone in the lab, tinkering with something when you storm up to him and demand, like a deranged person, why he turned johnny into a mermaid
calmly taeil looks up at you through his eyelashes
“because he’s annoying”
“you turned him into a MAGICAL FISH PERSON because he annoyed you??!”
taeil shrugs
“sometimes im not nice, sometimes i just decide to curse people.”
“ok well very funny, he’s learned his lesson - how do i change him back? how do i uncurse him?”
taeil moves one of the beakers
you throw a hand down on the counter
“c’mon - listen, i know better than anyone that johnny can talk a lot and be hard to handle but he’s a good person, who just wants people around him to be happy and so -”
taeil smiles and you don’t know what in the world that means
“sounds like you know johnny really well.”
“he’s been my bestfriend since we were kids - of course i do. and that’s why i need you to tell me how to uncurse him!”
“kiss him”
you open your mouth, but no sound comes out
instead you stare into taeil’s clear eyes
“s-s-sorry what?”
“kiss him.”
“who?”
“johnny.”
“wh-what why?”
“you wanna break the curse right?”
dumbfounded you look at taeil to see if he’s joking, because he has to be
but he just looks back with a bored expression on his face
“w-what do i just have to get someone to kiss him and he’ll be fine?”
“no, you have to kiss him.”
“why me?!?!?”
taeil laughs, like this is some big joke and you’re not smart enough to catch on
“everyone knows true loves kiss breaks any curse. so,,,,,go try it out.”
there’s so much you want to say, to dispute - but you don’t even know where to start with this
actually, you want to know how taeil even has the ability to put curses on people in the first place
is he a wizard? is magic like,,,,real? since when were you seo youngho’s true love? why didn’t you get the memo about that?!?!?
you turn, grumbling that fine - whatever, he didn’t want to help then you’d just have to figure out another way to help johnny
but you hear taeil chuckle as you make your way out the door
“im telling you, just kiss him!”
you spend the second trip you make back to your hometown trying to research mermaids and curses and magic
but it all makes your head spin and you feel even worse when you see an email from your professor asking where you’d been this morning
when you get back to johnny, you realize you don’t know how you’re going to tell him that taeil suggested making out as a remedy to his problem
you think - hey, maybe you’ll tell him and you’l have a good laugh and forget it ever happened
maybe it’ll even be a nice way to joke about the situation, but you can’t even bring yourself to go upstairs and see him
at some point you force yourself to and when you open the door to the bathroom
johnny throws his hands up out of the water
“finally! so how are we going to turn me back to a human?”
you shuffle closer and try to think of something to say
“uhhh,,,,,,well actually he said something kind of ,,,, funny”
johnny leans his elbows on the ledge of the tub and rests his cheek on his hand
“funny? do i have to chant a spell or something -”
he laughs and your heart weirdly jumps at the sound
“do i have to say taeil’s the best person on earth or promise that ill stop annoying him for notes in class?”
you shift
“no,,,,he said ,,,,,,, he basically said-”
johnny waits, nodding his head
“what?”
“he said i have to kiss you - and that it has to be me and no one else! can you believe it? im sure he was jokin-”
“ok, so what are we waiting for?”
you tense and johnny doesn’t look like he’s playing around
instead he’s really ,,,,,,, he’s really serious about this as he puts a hand out to motion for you to come over
“c’mon, i would walk to you - but you can see my dilemma”
he gives a splash of his tail and you swallow the lump that’s appeared in your throat
kiss johnny? kiss my bestfriend?
the corner of his mouth twitches and he tries to speak calmly
“hey, i know im not the guy you want to be kissing - no prince charming and all that, but ill be really thankful if you do this for me.”
the first reaction you have is to tell him that,,,,it’s not that you don’t want to be kissing him
but then you stop yourself - because saying that might make this weird
attatching feelings ,,, romantic feelings to this might be wrong
because even though you’re a nervous wreck, heart pounding and room spinning
johnny looks like he’s asking you to go for a walk with him - not kiss him after knowing him for years
which probably means kissing you doesn’t,,,,,excite him - it doesn’t make him swoon like the thought does to you
so you suck it up, tell yourself that this doesn’t mean anything like how you might want it too
you said you’d save johnny - and even though you think taeil is lying about this ‘kiss cures the curse’ thing
you might as well try it - it’s the only lead you have right now
so you walk over, sitting on your knees in front of the ledge
johnny’s face is a little wet, water clinging to the line of his jaw, his eyelashes and lips glistening
when did he get so handsome? when did he stop being the tall, lanky class clown and become,,,,,,,,
he moves the hand he put out to rest on your neck - it’s a little cold and you tilt your heard so it’s easier for him to lean in
you let your eyes flutter close and then you feel johnny’s breath tickle the skin of your cheek
and then he’s kissing you - and he wastes no time really kissing you, tongue running against yours - little sharp intakes of air
you naturally react, putting your own hands in his hair and tugging him as close as the tub will let you
you have half the mind to just let go, and get in the tub - just so this is easier
just so you can wrap your hands around his shoulders
but there’s water everywhere
and when you do break from him - just for a second you debate it
do i care if i get my clothes all wet if it means i get to kiss him more?
your heart makes your decision faster than your mind and you go for it
johnny makes a little sound of shock, but you just murmur that maybe you guys have to kiss for a while longer till the curse breaks
he puts hands on your waist - when you sit on top of him in the water it nearly comes up to past your elbows
it feels weird to be in there with everything on, but you ignore it and duck back down to kiss him again
you two are so busy at it that only realize something is happening when johnny makes a groan against your lips
“what? what’s wrong?”
you ask, panicking
“it’s my ,,,, it’s my legs i can feel them again and it just -”
you look over your shoulder and through the bathwater you can see that johnny’s giant orange tail is gone
“johnny - i think it’s working!”
he moves a bit and you realize you should probably get off him because if he’s turned back to normal
than you are in a bit of a,,,,, interesting,,,,situation
so you do - and johnny wiggles a bit
till you see him pull his legs up - the tops of his knees peeking out the water
you don’t hesitate to throw your arms around his shoulders
“we did it! you’re ok again!”
he laughs against your neck
“can’t believe the kiss really worked- looks like taeil didn’t lie.”
you nod and then sigh
“im sure if i got anyone to kiss you, it would work. taeil kept saying it had to be me, but what if i got that girl you really liked in freshman year - irene? to kiss you then it would at least be wor-”
you’re interrupted by johnny pulling you back down in for another kiss
it’s softer than the first one, nothing more than a short peck
but when he let’s you go
he stares at you
“i think the only kiss that would uncurse me would have to be something from somebody i love, like in a fairy tail.”
you blink, feeling the rush of blood to your face
“love? like in our friendship kind of w-”
“you were just sitting on top of me and making out with me in a very,,,,,not just friendship kind of way ,,,, so”
he makes a kind of smirking face and you have the urge to roll your eyes
but it’s true, friends don’t kiss friends like that
even if it’s to uncurse them from being turned into a mermaid
“well anyway, i should get you some clothes.”
you start
“and you should change - i know you were dying to kiss me all these years but just getting into a tub like that was not a great idea-”
this time you do roll your eyes, mumble him to save it and leave the room
as you’re pulling some old shirts out of his rooms closest, you can’t help but smile to yourself
‘something from somebody i love’
you and johnny return to school the next day
you come on campus, johnny walking you to your first class with his hand in yours
he kisses the top of it as he drops you off
and you tell him not to be embarrassing, but he just shakes his head
“after liking you for so long - im going to be as lovey dovey as i want - now that i can do it in public”
you finally see ten and apologize for giving him another panic, but ten doesn’t seem to be as mad when he notices johnny’s hand around your waist
and then
you two bump into moon taeil
who refuses to answer - how in the world he managed to curse someone in this modern day and age
but comments on how he’ll vote you two cutest couple for this months issue of the uni magazine
you and johnny stand their dumbfounded as the senior walks off
and then you hear johnny go
“next time your boyfriend tells you he got cursed - will you believe me?”
you scrunch up your nose
“my boyfriend better not get cursed again”
“listen, you know me - “
he points to himself up and down
“im the one who gets cursed in the relationship and you’re the ones with the brains to get me back to normal - that’s why we work so well together”
“oh shut it johnny!” you laugh and push at him playfully before he pulls you back into his chest
you laugh against the front of his shirt, happy that everything has fallen back into place
and no one will ever believe your boyfriend turned into a mermaid just so you could both realize you’re in literal love with each other LOL

“One cappuccino and chocolate brownie, please” - Chapter 8
Summary: Darcie Angel is thirty years old and owner of the famous cafe “The Coffee Cup” in New York City. She is known for her sweet smile and her amazing customer service. For six months now, John Wick has visited her cafe every day, earning himself a table that is always reserved for him. Darcie can’t stop thinking about him and when he asks her out one day, her dreams are finally coming true. But will it last?
A/N: Since I have the story finished on my laptop anyways and I’m dying to read what @toomanystoriessolittletime will say, I’m posting this chapter right now. I have about six chapters left, but I really don’t want it to end. Darcie and John really own my heart right now.

The next day, John arrives and when he steps inside, he has a big smile on his face, causing my heart to flutter. I think I’m falling in love with him even more. He walks over to the register, places his hands on the counter and leans over. ‘I really missed you, Darcie,’ he says. ‘I’m so sorry I couldn’t be here yesterday.’
I bite my bottom lip, to prevent myself from squealing. ‘I missed you too. It really wasn’t the same without you here.’
‘That’s disgustingly romantic,’ Jennie says, sipping her tea.
I look over my shoulder and say: ‘Your break is over. Get your ass back to the kitchen.’
Jennie holds back a laugh, but raises her hand in surrender. She walks back to the kitchen, winking at me when she stands in the doorway.
‘So, what would you like to order?’ I ask John, tilting my head.
‘I would like a chocolate smoothie and a red velvet cupcake.’
‘Really adventurous today, mister Wick.’
‘Making up for yesterday,’ he says with a smirk.
‘You don’t need to make up for yesterday,’ I say. ‘I bet you had something to do for work and work is important.’
‘I did. I just want you to know that… It wasn’t because we went on a date and I was too awkward or anything. I had such a great time, but it sucked that the work thing took me a bit longer.’
I place my hand on top of his. ‘I understand, John, no need to explain.’
‘But,’ he says, ‘I’m going to stay longer today. Really want to cuddle up with my girl Tiki.’
He pays for his order and I tell him that it’ll be there in a second. The cafe is pretty quiet today, since it’s around ten a.m. Weirdly enough, on Saturday mornings, it’s always pretty quiet around here. Only the older couple with their Bible verses, another woman who likes to read here and John are occupying the cafe.
Raye walks out of the kitchen, with Tiki in her arms and says: ‘Oh Tiki, look at that. Daddy’s here.’
Is this how it feels to die? My soul practically leaves my body. ‘Raye,’ I hiss, but she’s enjoying this way too much. To make things even worse, I can hear Jennie laughing all the way from the kitchen.
John’s cheeks flush, but when Tiki makes her way over to him, he picks her up and peppers her face with kisses.
‘I hate you,’ I hiss between clenched jaws to Raye.
‘I’m fucking hilarious,’ Raye retorts. ‘Can’t believe I made mister Mustang blush.’
‘I really hate you,’ I say. I make John a chocolate smoothie, put lots of whipped cream on top and some sprinkles. I place the red velvet cupcake on a plate and write ‘Glad you’re back again, John’ on the note. ‘I’m going to cut your paycheck after what you did to me,’ I tell Raye, before I walk off to bring John his order.
He looks up and smiles when I arrive at his table. ‘There you go,’ I say. ‘I’m sorry about Raye. That was pretty embarrassing.’
He holds my hand. ‘It was funny, come to think of it.’
‘Maybe,’ I chuckle.
John presses a kiss on my knuckles. ‘God, I really missed you.’
‘I missed you too, John.’ I see he has a book laying on the table. ‘What is that?’
‘Just something to read. I really want to make up for the time I wasn’t here yesterday. Besides, I have nothing else to do today and I was hoping that you and I could spend some time after work. I can even walk Tiki today if you don’t mind.’
‘Sounds good to me.’ I hear something clatter in the kitchen. ‘Shoot, I have to go. I’ll be back shortly.’
‘You’re at work, I understand.’ He flashes me such a loving and caring smile, that I can’t believe I was doubting myself, him and us in general. ‘I’ll see you later. I’ve got company, who I will only feed one snack.’
⟢⟡⟣
I told John about the double date. Since his table is right next to theirs, he can overhear them and when I looked over at him, he mouthed that it’s going well. Julie and Roger are clearly making fun of the shy couple. It’s really obvious that Greg really, really likes her and it warms my heart that Tina’s and Greg’s love story might begin here, at my cafe.
This is what I wanted, I think to myself. This is how I envisioned my cafe to be. Where people would meet new people, maybe friends for life or their significant others. Where friends could meet up and talk about whatever they wanted. Where couples would sit, thinking about their future together. A place where parents bring their kids, to talk about life, no matter how old they are.
‘Can’t believe the high school kids are going to end up with someone, before I do.’ Raye leans against the counter, looking over the cafe, while I’m cleaning up some crumbs off the floor. ‘Being single and ridiculously hot is so exhausting.’
‘Who knows,’ I start, ‘maybe a hottie will walk through the door.’
‘Oh my God,’ Raye says and I hear the bell that rings when the door opens.
‘A hot guy is coming in?’ I chuckle.
‘No, it’s your ex-boyfriend.’
My head rushes with the speed I’m standing up. Oh my God, Eric… I haven’t seen him since I moved out of our apartment. Okay, no, wait, I checked his FaceBook account like four months ago, but that doesn’t compare to seeing him in real life.
His dirty blond hair is shorter than when we were dating, but he looks ripped. I never really liked the ultra ripped look on guys. Sure, guys who are toned are great—I mean, look at John—but they need their softness—again: look at John.
He is walking in with one of his best friends, Thomas, who was actually my former employee. They both have smug grins on their faces and I really wish I could throw them out. ‘There she is,’ Eric says, when he gets to the counter.
‘What do you want?’ I ask him, crossing my arms.
‘Is that how you treat all your customers?’
‘No, just idiots who cheat for five years and hide a kid from me. Turns out there’s just one of those morons walking around in New York City.’
Eric scoffs, before he laughs. ‘Still not over me, I hear.’
‘Don’t flatter yourself, Eric,’ Raye butts in, standing next to me, crossing her arms as well. ‘Order something, pay up or else, leave.’
Thomas chuckles. ‘I’d like a cappuccino, preferably without spit and that pink cupcake.’
Eric leans over the counter. If my dad only knew what was happening here, he’d kill Eric for coming near me. ‘One espresso and a chocolate brownie.’
‘We’re out of chocolate brownies,’ I say, though I know there is some in the back, but this man cannot eat those. Every single time someone orders a chocolate brownie, I think back to all those times where John would order a chocolate brownie and Eric cannot contaminate that memory.
‘Well, a vanilla cupcake should do it then.’
Raye gets behind the register, so they can pay and I start to prepare to make the cappuccino. I feel tears burning in my eyes, but I have to be strong. I can’t show any weakness, though those years I spend with him were terrible and it brings me back to those times where I had to walk on eggshells.
‘Are you really okay?’ Raye asks me. ‘I can take this order.’
‘No,’ I say, ‘I can handle it.’
I get their order ready—and don’t even bother writing them a note—and I bring it to their table. ‘Hope you enjoy,’ I say, placing it down on the surface. I don’t even wait for their response, because I feel like I’m going to kill them if I’m near them for too long. ‘So kids,’ I say to my favorite high schoolers and their dates. ‘Is everything okay here?’
‘It is,’ Greg says, ‘thank you, miss Angel.’
‘Your cafe is wonderful,’ Tina says with a big smile. She looks so adorable, with her long red hair in thick waves and the white bow in her hair. No wonder Greg likes her. ‘I really want to visit your place again. Maybe with my mom.’
‘Tina, you are always welcome,’ I say. ‘If you need anything else, just say so, okay?’
‘Thank you, miss Angel,’ the boys say and I smile at them.
When I get to John’s table, I see he is not reading anymore. ‘Who is that guy?’ he asks, scratching Tiki behind her fluffy ears.
‘The blond guy is my ex-boyfriend Eric and the other guy is his best friend Thomas, who fired me two days after I broke up with my ex.’
‘They’re fucking assholes.’
‘You can say that again,’ I chuckle.
‘They’re fucking assholes.’
‘You’re an idiot.’ Though I want to laugh, I do swallow hard, feeling tears already coming up, but I ignore it and blink them away. ‘You want something else?’ I ask.
John shakes his head. ‘No, thank you, Darcie. Are you really okay though?’
‘Just some old wounds,’ I whisper, ‘nothing I can’t handle.’ I place my hand on his strong shoulder. ‘I’m just happy that you’re here, that’s all.’
He places his hand on mine. ‘Good, I’m happy I’m here too. And,’ he whispers, ‘the date behind me is going well. Really well.’
‘Good,’ I smile.
I hear something fall on the floor and when I turn around, I see Eric looks at me with those innocent eyes. I clench my hands to tight fists and walk towards the scene. ‘Sorry, sweetheart,’ he says, in such a condescending voice, that I really don’t miss. ‘You should clean that up.’
‘You did that on purpose,’ I mumble.
‘Well,’ he says, ‘this is on purpose.’ He shoves his plate off the table and I watch it fall on the floor, shards flying around. Thank God, I gave him an ugly plate.
‘What is your problem?’ I ask him. ‘Why are you here in the first place?’
‘I wanted to see how you are.’
‘Then Google me,’ I snap.
‘Sweetheart, you should clean the floor,’ Eric says. ‘Then I have you just the way I like it. Bend over, doing chores, cleaning up my mess. Just like old times.’
It feels like a slap in my face. I can’t believe he said something like that, in the fucking cafe in such a loud voice. I can feel people staring at me. Raye is ready to throw some fists, but then I hear a: ‘Who the fuck do you think you are?’ behind me.
‘Excuse me?’ Eric asks.
John stands right next to me. ‘You heard me.’ He doesn’t wait for an answer. He steps over the shards and the mess that is left behind, grabbing Eric by his collar, pulling him up.
Though I thought Eric looked ripped, compared to John he looks like a tiny kid. From the looks of it, Eric is fucking terrified and I don’t think I have ever seen him like that.
‘You clean this up,’ John says in a low, intimidating voice, ‘apologize to Darcie and never show your face back here, because if I catch you wihtin a five mile radius from this cafe, I’ll make sure you can’t even look at this place anymore. Understood?’
‘Who the hell are you, man?’ Eric asks, his voice a little high pitched, showing how scared he really is.
I hardly recognize John. His eyes are dark, but he looks oddly calm. I yelp when John pushes Eric to the ground, where he falls flat in his espresso. ‘You clean this up and never come here again,’ John says.
Raye walks up with a mop, a bucket and a trash can and says: ‘This, Eric, is a mop and one uses that to clean up.’
‘I know what a damn mop is,’ he mumbles.
John crosses his arms and looks down to Eric. ‘I’m waiting, Eric,’ he says.
I look over my shoulder, to see Tiki sitting with Roger and Greg, who look like they are about to dislocate their jaw and the girls’ eyes have turned into heart eyes.
Eric cleans up, while Thomas just stares at how his friend is cleaning up, Eric’s back covered in espresso. Eric places the mop in the bucket and nods to his friend, hoping he gets up, so they can get out of this place. ‘You,’ he starts, when standing in front of me, but John pushes him towards the door, saying: ‘The door is that way, Eric.’
When the two of them have walked out, I can finally breath again.
‘Damn,’ Roger says, ‘sir, you’ve got some balls.’
‘Mister Mustang,’ Raye says, patting him on the shoulder. ‘You are fucking awesome.’
John smiles briefly, but walks up to me. ‘Are you okay, Darcie?’
I don’t know what to say. My heart is so full right now. He really did that for me—I don’t know if anyone ever done something like that. I stand on my toes, hold his face between my hands and give him a long and heavy kiss on his lips. He is a little surprised, but his hands squeeze my waist and he pulls me closer. ‘Thank you so much, John,’ I whisper against his lips. ‘This means a lot to me.’
‘Of course, anything for you.’
I press one last kiss on his lips and say: ‘You’re getting a cappuccino with a chocolate brownie. On the house.’
He nods, a smile on his face, before he pushes some strands of hair behind my ear, a little rough, a little clumsy, but I don’t mind. It’s the thought that counts and after what he just did, I certainly don’t mind.
‘Miss Angel,’ Roger says, ‘if I had done what he did, would you have kissed me like that?’
I let go of John and flick Roger’s forehead. ‘Dream on, lover boy.’
‘So, you’re officially taken?’
I look at John and say: ‘Yeah, officially taken indeed.’

Stumbling upon a winged man in the forest in dire need of help wasn’t exactly how you envisioned putting your freshly graduated veterinary skills to use, but the decision to help the handsome man was one you most certainly didn’t regret.

If someone had asked you a month ago, what would you be doing not even a week after your graduation, you probably would have told them you’d be lying in bed, sleeping off the stress that had accumulated in your body after your five long years of study.
As it happened, that wasn’t how things quite turned out at all.
Instead of snoozing away in the comfort of your large queen-sized bed, encompassed in your fluffy blanket and embraced by the abundance of pillows you’d gathered over the years, you were here— hiking through a forest in a place you’d never been to or even heard of before, with only your classmates for company. Well, those classmates were your friends, but right now you weren’t happy with them – going for a full day hike your first day in a new place wasn’t your idea of fun or destressing.
You didn’t really know the where you were very well—it was some remote island that one of your closer friends in the group, Yeri, had been raving about wanting to visit for months. You and a small handful of others had graduated in the same cohort for your degree and agreed that you should celebrate after your years of hard work finally came to an end. You’d thought they’d meant getting blackout drunk and gorging yourselves on sweet pastries and treats; apparently, they meant a three-week holiday to some island in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere. You knew something was up when they’d come to pick you up and not one of them had a bag full of alcohol—you should have trusted your instincts and shut the door on their face.
You sighed. Ah, if only you had. Perhaps then you wouldn’t be three more smacks to the face from wayward branches away from unleashing all the complaints that had built up within you throughout the day.
You longed for the comfort of your bed, but since that wasn’t very plausible right now, you settled for the one you’d claimed in the hotel room. Even then, it wasn’t that appealing—you’d hardly even had time to settle in or open your suitcase before Yeri and the others were dragging you out for a full day hike. You weren’t one to mind exercise, but you only liked doing it on your terms—something this activity decidedly was not.
“Oh, don’t look so miserable, y/n!” a cheerful voice sounded to your right and you directed a displeased look in that direction. Yeri had the decency to look at least a little sheepish. “Look, isn’t it beautiful? This island is renowned for its untouched, natural beauty! It’s like it has hardly been touched by civilisation at all. Isn’t it refreshing?”
“I could have just as easily seen it from the hotel room window,” you said, not bothering to attempt and deny her words since the locale was very beautiful. The only thing stopping you from enjoying it was a tricky combination of your stubbornness and pride.
Yeri rolled her eyes, and there was a snort from behind you— if you hadn’t already passed the waterfall on the way back down you might have been inclined to push the person it had come from off the edge.
“Where’s your passion for the outdoors, y/n?” Minhyuk came up beside you, slinging an arm over your shoulder; you cringed at the feeling of extra heat and the way your skin stuck together where it met his from sweat. “Your zest for life? We just graduated! And now you’re spending time on an isolated island with your favourite people in the world!”
“Bold of you to assume that’s you,” you retorted, unable to stop the grin that came at his loud, affronted gasp, hand reaching to peel his arm off you.
“Oh, you wound me,” the male nearly tripped on a log in his dramatics, and you watched a bead of sweat roll from his temple, narrowly missing his crimson hairline. “Lucky for you, I like that kind of thing.”
You made a face and he cackled, Yeri reaching to smack his arm from your other side. Desperately, you wished there was a way for you to escape this island— you just wanted sleep, damn it. You’d let them bring you along on this sudden trip, but hiking? And expecting you to be a happy participant? On your first day of holidays? They were on thin fucking ice.
“Minhyuk, she’s going to push you off the next cliff she sees if you don’t stop it,” Irene warned as she climbed past the three of you— you might have been going back down the mountain, but it wasn’t exactly a linear journey. You made a noise of agreement but the male in question merely laughed. The trail you were currently on was fairly worn, but wasn’t the most used— not everyone wanted to climb to the highest possible peak on this mountain.
Which, strangely enough, wasn’t the very top. You’d been confused about it at first, but no one that you’d asked had an answer as to why the very top wasn’t accessible. Apparently it wasn’t just this mountain, but the other six across the island as well. No matter what routes had been attempted in the past, no one had ever been able to reach the top. The best you’d gotten in regards to an explanation came in the form of folklore from the locals of the small town-slash-village that sat at the entrance to a valley between two of the mountains, where you were currently staying. The lady with a kind, weathered face that sold hand-made necklaces of colourful shells and glazed sea glass besides the cafe had told you that for as long as the village had been there, no one had ever seen the tops of those mountains; it was legend among the locals that the seven deities that protected the island resided upon the very tops of the mountains. You, a sceptic at heart, had smiled and nodded in slight wonderment because even if you didn’t believe it yourself it was interesting to know what the people here believed.
Perhaps unfortunately, the six friends you’d come to this island with didn’t seem to share that scepticism. They wanted to try it for themselves, as you’d found when you’d embarked on this hike in the morning. They wanted to try and reach the top, to see if the legends were true, and of course they intended to take you along with them. Of those six friends, you’d been stuck with three— the others, Kihyun, Momo and Jinyoung, had taken a different path. They figured that splitting up and exploring more paths gave them a better chance of reaching it; you would argue that it just gave a better chance of getting lost. It was getting into late afternoon and while there might have been a few more hours of daylight left, there was barely any of it that reached the side of the mountain you were currently trekking back down. It made you conscious enough of your own steps that you watched where you placed your feet like a hawk.
Your limbs ached, the sort of ache that told you tomorrow morning was going to bring some very acute pain, and you decided you were torn between longing for your bed and longing for a hot bath to soak your muscles in. Getting clean would be a definite plus, too, since you'd amassed a generous amount of sweat and dirt over the day and you felt the grimiest you ever remembered feeling in your entire life. You lifted a hand to wipe your brow, thankful you hadn't gone the whole nine miles with your makeup today. God, that would be unfortunate— you'd end up reaching the bottom of the mountain and scaring the locals. You could only imagine the reactions you'd get if you wobbled down there on tired, unsteady legs, mascara smeared and looking like you'd pulled yourself straight out of a horror movie.
Yeri was chattering away happily beside you, but you couldn't focus on what she was saying very well. In all honesty, you just wanted to know when the hike would be done and you'd finally get off this stupid mountain. Your innate love of the outdoors had been squashed by the pain in your thighs and calves from almost six hours of climbing. This hike had really turned you into another person.
"Look!" it was Minhyuk's voice that interrupted your thoughts again, and you turned to follow the direction his finger was pointing in. To the left of your little group there was a light path that branched off this one, nowhere near as well-worn or wide but still there nonetheless. "I don't remember that from when we came up! Maybe it's a shortcut?"
He gasped before anyone could respond. "Oh, what if it's a secret path that will lead us to the top! I remember something like that being in one of the games I played the other month—"
Irene looked somewhat unimpressed at the way he was still so energised and eager to follow a wayward path on a whim and the off chance it would lead to the top of the mountain. "We just barely have gotten halfway down, and you want to go back up to the top?"
Minhyuk seemed like he was barely listening, already making his way over the area where the trail branched and peering down amongst the foliage. He whistled, seemingly impressed. "God, look! It goes really deep in the forest! The trees are so much thicker down there!"
Yeri snorted, and while you were all used to his antics, after a long day such as this one there wasn't much patience left to spare. Irene huffed, grasping Yeri's arm and tugging her back down the path you were already on. Your eyes watched them before your feet could think to follow, body extra heavy now that you'd paused your movement. It was gonna take a lot to get started again, you could feel it.
"Well, you can follow it if you want, but Yeri and I are going to keep on this trail," Irene said, turning and resuming her trek with the younger girl in tow. "I'd like to actually get back before it gets dark."
"Okay, you guys have fun!" Minhyuk called, waving his hand dismissively before it shot out to grasp your forearm and halt you in your attempt to follow them. "Thanks for coming with me, y/n!"
You sputtered, eyes wide. "What? No, I want to go back to the hotel!"
Minhyuk rolled his eyes, already tugging you towards the smaller trail he'd spotted; Yeri and Irene disappeared around a rocky corner, leaving you at his mercy. Traitors.
"That's the eventual destination, babe!" Minhyuk burst dramatically as he led you. "Nothing wrong with a little detour that may or may not lead us to be the first people in history to see the top of the mountain!"
"But I don't wanna go up again," you whined, not even bothering to try pulling back against his hold since your muscles were currently in a worse state than his, if the energy he still had in his bouncing gait was anything to go by. "I physically can't handle it— do you want me to die? Because that's how this is going to end if you try making me go up this damn mountain again."
"You're so dramatic," Minhyuk waved his hand once more, dodging a low branch with ease and just barely indicating in time for you to do the same; it was really starting to get quite dark, your eyes were straining a bit to see. "Even if it doesn't take us to the top of the mountain, it's probably a shortcut!"
That was leaving an awful amount up to chance. You didn't like it one bit.
However, you'd rather go down this path with Minhyuk than leave him alone to his own devices. He was usually the one terrorising the group, but you knew he was just as much of a scaredy cat deep down as the rest of you. He might start crying if he got lost in here at night and as much as you were currently annoyed at him he was still your friend and you absolutely did not want that. Plus, if you parted from him now you would probably get lost yourself trying to find Irene and Yeri. There wasn't much winning in this situation, it seemed.
The two of you walked along the trail for a while, and you did notice that the foliage around here was thicker as he'd said, denser than that you'd been walking through before. It was interesting, but also meant that it got darker much quicker. You'd all brought along things like torches, matches, etcetera, in case you needed them, and it looked like you would be very soon. You didn't fancy tripping on a log or stone and tumbling the rest of the way down the mountain.
"Do you think we'll make the news?" the male asked, turning to you with wide, hopeful eyes. "Dude, we'd be famous. That would be so cool."
"First of all, I don't think there's any way we're going to reach the top of the mountain, especially when we're going downhill," you said, stepping carefully over a large, somewhat unstable-looking rock and using his shoulder as support. He let out a sharp noise of protest at being used. "Second of all, this island is so tiny that I hadn't even heard of it before we came here! I don't think we would be on any news."
Minhyuk let out a disappointed sigh, peering off into the distance through the trees; you could both see the light from the sunset bleeding away into shadow on the opposite mountain. It made an odd feeling settle in your stomach, something akin to urgency thrumming just beneath your skin. You really didn't fancy the idea of being caught on this mountain, on some dodgy trail, come nightfall.
"At least we'd be famous among the locals," the crimson-haired male mused, hopping over a wayward stick with a triumphant noise. "Legends! The unlikely duo that managed to make it to the top of the mountain!"
You rolled your eyes as he continued to prattle on, admittedly a little amused by his antics. You were tired and absolutely ready for a bath and bed, but you were still having a little fun. At some point you deemed it necessary to pull out your torch— probably somewhere along the line after your third and Minhyuk's second trip over seemingly nothing— and now you had at least a little bit more light to guide you. It didn't seem like a shortcut, but you could tell the path was taking you somewhere at least; you just hoped it was in the general direction that you needed.
However, as it grew darker and you walked further along the trail, Minhyuk began to get jumpier. You knew he didn't want to admit he was scared, probably couldn't handle a blow to the pride like that, but you'd known him long enough to be able to tell he was a bit unsettled. You wished you'd stayed on the main path, but didn't bother complaining since he seemed to be suffering enough for his decision to make up for it.
"Gah!" it wasn't much longer before Minhyuk screamed, something having sounded in the distance. It seemed like the crack of a twig, and honestly you hadn't even spared it so much as a second thought, but it seemed to have gotten to the male beside you. His hand gripped your forearm, seeking comfort. "The fuck was that?!"
"Your karma," you snorted, beginning to walk once more. Minhyuk whined, trailing reluctantly after you; you weren't one to scare easily, and knew realistically there wasn't that much to worry about. For Minhyuk though, who probably believed the tales he'd been told about deities living on the very peaks of these mountains, there was probably a lot of irrational things he was scared of in this forest.
"Shut up, y/n, this place is spooky," he said defensively, sniffing when you turned to torch to him and flashed a deadpan look.
"We probably could have been home by now if you hadn't decided you wanted to follow this dumb path," you said, ignoring the way your leg wobbled slightly on your next step from overuse. When you got back to the hotel, you were going to knock out the second your head hit the pillow and sleep like the dead. You didn't think anything would even be able to wake you until your body was ready for it.
"This is probably a shortcut!" he didn't even sound like he believed it himself, wide-eyed as his gaze flitted around your surroundings. "We're probably really close to the bottom!"
You raised your brow at him; he said that, but you'd noticed that the ground you'd been walking on the past few minutes was actually somewhat level, despite the fact that it was too soon for you to have reached the bottom already.
"Whatever you say, Minnie," you said, pushing on with him lagging a few seconds behind you.
Despite the words he'd no doubt spoken to comfort himself as much as you, not that you needed it, the tall male only managed to get jumpier as you went. To be fair, there were more sounds beginning to filter into the air around you as the creatures of the day retired and the creatures who made their home in the night began to wake. So it wasn't like he was jumping at nothing, although you were getting a bit worried as to exactly how scared he was growing. Was he going to be okay? You weren't getting scared yourself but the extent to which he was reacting to the environment did make you somewhat unsettled, more so than you usually would.
After the male screamed again, for what had to be the fifth time, you finally burst, "Will you stop that! There's nothing there dude, you're just freaking us both out."
Minhyuk stomped his foot, shining his torch in the trees where the sound had come from. "I heard something! It was different this time, I swear. It sounded like something really big stepping on a twig or something."
You squinted at him, keeping your torch pointed at the ground. "How have you survived this long with an overactive imagination like that?"
He ignored you, still staring into the trees with furrowed brows, and you let out a sigh.
"It's probably just those other rich tourists that arrived on the ferry with us," you said, grasping his arm in what you aimed to be a comforting manner. "They're probably on their way back down too; I saw them leaving for the trail this morning."
Your words seemed to soothe your companion somewhat, and he turned back to you with a small smile. "The ones with the loafers?"
You snorted, beginning to walk again. "Yeah, and the 'had to do it to em' outfits."
Minhyuk cackled, and you were glad you'd managed to take his mind off his needless worries. Your victory was short-lived, however, as there was another loud noise sounding not far from your whereabouts that had even you pausing. Minhyuk yelped, and you barely had time to turn let alone console him before the noise returned, louder now, and seemed like it was growing closer.
This, in combination with the branch you'd just passed hitting against Minhyuk's back, was enough to make him snap and finally activate his fight or flight response. He let out a sharp noise that reeked of fear and alarm and darted off, body contorting away from whatever had touched it.
"GAH, FUCK WHAT THE FUCK! y/n RUN!"
"Minhyuk, wait!" you called with wide eyes, going to follow after him but tripping on the rock laid conveniently at your feet. The fall wasn't far but your knees still stung as they hit the ground, dirt and rocks digging into your sore skin. Your mind whirled, attempting to catch up to whatever had just transpired, and you listened as that same noise sounded even closer now— you recognised belatedly that it was the sound of something thudding against the earth. You rose to your feet, Minhyuk now long gone, not even the light of his torch visible through the darkness and dense forestry, and scrambled mentally for what to do. You wondered what the hell kept falling so loudly in the first place to make Minhyuk leg it so quickly like a spooked animal, and you wondered how you were going to find him— you hoped he'd stayed on the path.
As your mind began to kick in, you realised that whatever fell must have been a decent size if it was making such a racket— and you quickly came to the conclusion that it could be a wounded animal, or even another hiker. As a recently graduated veterinary student, and a compassionate human being at heart, you decided to check out whatever had been making the noise before you went further down the path in search of Minhyuk. You knew it would bother you more than you could handle if you didn't, and so you waited for the sound to come again before brushing your knees and heading in that direction.
Thankfully, wherever it came from wasn't a place with foliage as thick as the other side of the path. You used your torch to watch where you were stepping, illuminating the path for a few feet ahead of you. Where you were walking seemed like a rough game trail rather than the hiking path you'd been on before with Minhyuk, which was fortunate since you didn't fancy the idea of weaving through tree trunks and around spiky shrubbery with nothing to guide you.
The further you went, the more your straining ears picked up— heavy breaths, pained noises, the shuffling of limbs against the earth. You grew a bit worried, not for yourself, but for whatever was making those noises. You didn't have the proper tools to treat an animal that was hurt as badly as this one sounded, although there wasn't any wailing so you counted that as a good sign. Maybe it was just sick and tired? But even so, what would you do in that case? Drag it down the mountain? You frowned to yourself as you went, half wondering what you'd find and half wondering what the hell you'd do once you did. It occurred to you randomly that this was something Minhyuk would never do, especially given his recent show of fear. You just weren't scared by those sorts of things. Your scepticism allowed you to remain objective about a lot of things, which you were definitely grateful for.
So caught up in your thoughts were you, that you didn't even realise the trees had parted slightly and there was a small metre or so squared area of nothing but grass, leaves and twigs. Your flashlight moved with your stride and you froze on the spot as it shone over something large and hulking, black as ink even beneath the artificial light.
What the fuck was that.
Your first thought was bear, but then you really didn't think there would be bears on an island like this— boar? No, it was shaped too funnily to be a boar. Your internal musing was cut short as the shape shifted, rolling on the earth with a groan.
Holy shit was that a person?!
"Oh shit, are you okay?!" you burst, rushing forth before you could entertain any second thoughts. You got within a few feet of the person on the ground before you halted suddenly once more. "What happened— oh holy fuck, are those wings?!"
The figure— male, as you noticed, with what looked like a massive pair of inky god damn wings stemming from his back— merely groaned, barely managing to crack his eyes open against the stark light of your torch. You quickly pointed it away from his face, too fucking shell-shocked to muster an apology despite the urge that rose within you.
The man— bird-man— creature— whatever he was, pulled himself onto his front and attempted to stand, only to wobble and crumple back onto his knees. He was panting heavily, breathing laboured, and as the light of your torch fell across his wings you noticed with a sickening feeling that one of them didn't look right. The feathers in disarray, the muscle and bone bulging beneath the skin in ways they most definitely shouldn’t, and the limb held differently to the way it should be; it was only now that you noticed the blood staining the dark feathers and gleaming in the flashlight.
He attempted to stand once more, ragged breaths and gasps of pain breaking you from your stupor and you rushed to help him on instinct as he crumpled once more, wings be damned. If you didn't think about them then maybe your mind wouldn't blow up from the overload of stimulus. You darted forward, grasping his arm and pressing a hand against his abdomen so he didn't fall forward.
"Don't," he panted, attempting something like a growl only to have it cut off into a pained groan. His hand grasped yours weakly, scrabbling to pull it off; your brows furrowed at how weak he was. Did he have other injuries? You weren't a human doctor, but you could tell that an injury to the wings shouldn't be affecting him so much that he looked like he was a hop, skip and a step away from death’s door. "Don't touch me. Get off."
The low register of his voice might have distracted you, were you not so consumed with worry.
"What happened to you?" you asked, refusing to budge as he attempted to shift away once more. "I just want to help you, you're really hurt dude."
"Get off me, human," the man— creature— bird-man tried to pull away from you once more, but still wasn't strong enough to attempt it. "I won't give you my wings."
"I don't want them?" you said, confused as to why he was acting like you'd chased him through the forest for the feathery limbs sprouting from his back— oh shit, was that what had happened? Was he being chased, hunted? That was so wrong, and your mind was too overloaded to really comprehend the thought as it ran through your head. "Wait, are there people after you?"
Your words made him pause, and you felt your breath catch in your lungs as he turned his head to face you, dark cocoa eyes with specks of amber peering at you through raven locks that stuck to his forehead from sweat. A startling wave of heat flushed over you for a moment, leaving your limbs chilled in the aftermath, and you couldn't help but stare. Had you ever seen someone so strikingly beautiful?
"You don't want... you don't want my wings?" his voice was rough and succeeded in breaking you from your momentary reverie, your eyes blinking rapidly as you refocused on the present. The shift in his demeanour at the realisation your words prompted was instantaneous, a plea making its way across his fine features. "Then please, help me."
You were agreeing before you knew it, mouth running before you mind ever had a chance to catch up. "I'll help you," you said quickly, adjusting your grasp on him. "What do you need? Where are the people chasing you?"
The answer to your last question came in the form of a noise in the distance, the muffle of voices and shifting shrubbery. Your heart leapt in alarm, gaze whipping back to the male in your arms.
"Fuck, we gotta go," your teeth sank into your bottom lip as you struggled to think what to do. You couldn't go down the path, because that would be predictable, but you'd also never stepped foot in this forest before today and had no idea where else to go. "God, I'm going to be so lost."
The male seemed to have calmed somewhat at the revelation that you were a friend rather than a foe, and his dark eyes met yours once more, holding the gaze steadily. His breathing was still somewhat laboured, grasp on you weak, but there was a certain levelness, a certain strength in his eyes that captured you so wholly for the moment you remained frozen in your spot.
"I can help you find your way back," he said, voice low and raspy as it escaped his throat. His tongue darted to wet full lips that had begun to dry. "If you can help me get to my home. I can't outrun them on my own, they shot me with something and it’s— it's poisoned me."
You soaked up the information he was giving you, storing it away for later— throughout your degree you'd grown accustomed to absorbing any and all information you could about the animals you treated because it was usually all crucial. As soon as you filed it away, you did your best to refocus on the situation at hand. A part of you resisted, called for you to leave and return to the trail and look for Minhyuk, and your first instinct was to follow that. But you held fast, the ache in your heart for the person before you greater than your desire to make it down the mountain and back to the safety of your hotel.
You moved closer to the male, slipping his arm over your shoulder while being mindful of his wing; he was taller than you, but the weakened slouch in his posture meant his head hovered around the same height as yours.
"Okay," you said, feeling the scorching warmth his body radiated even through the materials draped over his form. "I'll help you. Tell me where to go."
The male shot you a look so wrought with gratitude you could have honestly wept, and at the distantly approaching sound of voices he was quick to instruct you. You turned your torch to the lowest setting, and off you went to take the bird-man to safety.
Optimistically, you entertained the thought that perhaps you were dreaming.

Half an hour of trekking through the forest with a large bird-man draped across your shoulder later had you thinking that perhaps you'd be needing a bit more than optimism to get your head around this. Not long ago, the male had halted you in your steps, directing you over to a large section of rocky cliff-face around a metre and a half or so tall. You'd listened, perplexed, and watched as he pressed his hand to the surface—
—and the god damn rock shifted away to reveal a tunnel of sorts.
At this point you were convinced you'd gotten heatstroke or something during the day and were now heavily hallucinating. Or perhaps you'd really passed out on the trip down and were now having a frivolous fever dream with incredibly attractive winged men and melting rocks.
Either way, you hadn't been able to do anything but follow the bird-man's lead and enter into the tunnel, only your torch there to guide you. The male you were supporting didn't seem to need it to see, but you did and so it stayed on— you didn't need yourself tripping and taking the both of you down somewhere along the line.
You didn't know how long you'd expected the trip through the tunnel to be, but you were coming upon an end sooner than you anticipated. You expected another wall of rock, perhaps even an open end, but to your complete and utter surprise what greeted you was a thin, nicely-made sliding door. Your feet slowed but the stranger's did not, and so you were forced to continue on until you were sliding it open and letting out a sharp gasp at the sight that lay beyond.
It was, quite honestly, beautiful— perhaps one of the most stunning natural scenes you'd ever seen— and to be fair only added to your suspicion that you were currently in the midst of a fever dream. But could your mind really conjure such a sight on its own? The glittering sight of the sky and its reflection upon the smooth waters of the lake to the side, inky depths bathed in moonlight and looking like a cave with walls decorated in gemstones. The glow of soft lanterns around the edge of the meadow rimmed with high stone walls and broken by ornate pillars, the soft whispering of weeping trees and the pastel blossoms that fell from their branches to brush the earth. It was so much, too much, and you were in such awe that you completely forgot the situation that had brought you there in the first place.
"Holy..." your voice couldn't raise above an awed murmur. "Where are we?"
You hadn't been expecting a response, the question muttered mostly to yourself, but the male to your side supplied an answer nonetheless.
"We're at the top of the mountain," he said, coughing harshly at the end before he recovered. "The very peak."
You gaped at him, recalling the lore you'd heard from the villagers earlier. "You're..."
The male didn't seem to hear you that time, instead trying to take a step from you on his own. He failed miserably of course, and you flew to catch him with a yelp before he could crumple completely. "Dude, you are not okay. Do you live up here? Is there somewhere for you to sit and rest?"
The male nodded, raven locks falling across his forehead as he did so. He lifted his free arm and pointed to your right, the opposite of the small lake. "Through the trees."
You turned, following the direction of his gesture with your eyes, and proceeded to help him that way. You tried not to let your mouth hang open as you shuffled between the trees, a tunnel of soft green and pink with leaves so silky as they brushed your skin that it left a shiver in their wake. Before long you were emerging from the gentle, sweeping foliage and arriving upon another small clearing that housed a peculiar structure; you couldn't tell if it was more bungalow or temple in its architecture, for it seemed to be a mixture of both.
You figured this was where the stranger lived, and so began making your way up there. You were admittedly driven by the fact it sounded like his breath was growing harsher against your ears and it felt like he was growing heavier against your shoulders. You needed to get him sitting and resting, because if he'd really been poisoned in some way then all of this movement definitely wasn't good for him.
The door slid open with ease once you'd arrived in front of it, and you were greeted with a surprisingly open and spacious area. A kitchen to one side, cushions, a desk and table to the other; up the back of the room sat several doors, similar to the one you'd just passed through and the one that had laid at the end of the tunnel. On the other side of the cushions were more sliding doors, which you had a feeling lead to a balcony of sorts.
"How does this whole area fit on the very top of the mountain," you muttered to yourself as you helped the two of you to the door that man had pointed to; your limbs were sore, so sore, a deep ache riding in your bones, and you feared exactly what pain you were going to wake up to tomorrow.
"The peak of the mountain is only an illusion," the male managed to pant in response, surprising you once more with an answer you hadn't really been expecting.
"I..." you swallowed, squinting as your brain tried to wrap around that titbit. Winged men, melting rock, a meadow on the peak of the mountain... wasn't this too much, even for your brain to have come up with? This was awfully elaborate and detailed for a fever dream. You refused to consider the alternative, for the sake of your sanity.
Once you reached the room he'd indicated and entered, you had to pause for a moment to take in the sight that greeted you. Considering how clean and well-kept the other parts of his home had been, you'd been expecting the same in here— you had been wrong, however. The floor might have been clean, as well as the table to the side, but the bed that was kept only a foot or so off the floor was another story. Plush cushioning and thick, soft blankets lined the mattress, situated in such a way that they oddly reminded you of a nest— the odd garment of clothing was draped into the structure and you might have been slightly impressed if you weren't so focused on finding somewhere to sit him.
The male was quick to redirect your attention, and you noticed with a slight sense of surprise that his cheeks had reddened at what you'd seen.
"In here," he rasped, straining to lead you. "The washroom."
Getting in and out through the other doorways with his massive wings in tow had been a task and a half, a somewhat difficult ordeal, but you'd managed it well until now— it was as the two of you entered into this room that his wounded wing finally succumbed to the inevitable and banged against the doorway. He yelped sharply, the sound so wrought with pain that you felt it tug at your own heartstrings, and flinched away from the sensation, into you. His other wing nearly flew out to compensate for the sudden shift in balance, but you managed to keep the two of you upright enough to prevent it from doing that.
"Shit, are you okay?" you asked, pressing a hand to his chest without thinking to keep him stable. His heart was racing beneath your palm, breathing ragged and eyes pinched shut.
"I've never felt such pain before," he ground out, eyes opening to reveal a particular glisten that only came from budding tears. "Nothing like this has ever happened to me— to my wings."
You made a soft noise of sympathy, guiding him more carefully into the room he wanted. You stopped for a moment to admire it, stepping carefully down the steps. The floor of this room sunk several feet into the ground, while the ceiling remained the same height, effectively making the room bigger than those in the rest of the structure, albeit in a different way. The floor was a mix of wood and stone, and your eyes swept over a basin, stool, small table, and pile of soft-looking fabric you assumed to be towels, before they fell upon a bath that was built into the ground in the corner of the room, extending above the floor a good foot and a half. It looked deep, water trickling constantly from an opening in the wall, and you grabbed the stool before making your way over. You wondered how it didn't overflow, but figured it probably had an outlet that allowed the water to filter out at the same rate it poured in to keep it the same level. The room was illuminated by soft lanterns hung in each corner, and you were grateful for their presence since your hands weren't exactly free at the moment.
You shifted towards what you presumed to be the bath, placing the stool down before it and easing the bird-man down— the wall of the bath was a bit higher, so you'd be sitting on that instead. The male let out a groan as he seated himself completely, the sound a mixture between relieved and pained.
You were quick to stand, shaking your limbs out; it was time to get down to business.
"What exactly happened?" you started, keeping your expression soft. "Where are you hurt? You mentioned poison?"
The male coughed, dark cocoa eyes meeting yours and rendering you breathless for the second time this night. "They shot at me with crossbows," he answered, hand pressed against his chest and the other clutching his thigh, dark material of his clothes bunching beneath his grip. "I don't think they were locals, because no one here uses those metals. It burns."
"Metals?" you echoed, head tilting as something familiar stirred in your memory. "... do heavy metals like lead and copper poison you?"
The male seemed surprised at your knowledge, nodding slowly. "Yes, how did you...?"
"I'm a vet," you answered quickly, before backtracking at the blank look he displayed. "Animal doctor. I know because birds are often poisoned by things like heavy metals."
His cheeks seemed to flush at your words, but he didn't acknowledge it. You couldn't help but wonder what you'd said that had prompted such a response.
"I have materials in the chest beneath the basin," he said, and you turned in surprise to see the chest he'd mentioned that you hadn't even seen before in your first sweep of the room. You moved over and opened it as he continued to give you instructions. "I'll need the solution in the small blue vial. Hopefully it will work for this."
You retrieved the container in question and quickly moved back over to the male, placing it gently into his outstretched hand. Your gaze swept over him as he pulled the cork from the vial and downed its contents, the new lighting allowing you to see more of him than you had been able to before. He was tall, as you'd noticed initially, and the large, looming wings that stemmed from his back had sleek raven feathers that were the same inky shade as the thick locks that curled across his forehead. His clothes looked more like robes, with layers of material greeting your eyes. The colours were consistently dark though, bouncing between black and dark blues and greys. You thought the bold contrast, especially against his honey skin, suited him nicely.
Luckily for you, he didn't seem to notice the way your stare had swept entirely over his form, too busy wincing at the flavour the solution had left on his tongue. He squirmed, shuddering as its effects began to kick in, and allowed his posture to droop a little bit more. It struck you suddenly that he was placing a lot of trust in you right now, leaving his defences incredibly low considering the ordeal that had allegedly landed him in this situation in the first place.
“Was that for the poison?” you queried, giving him a moment to collect himself; he jumped at the sound of your voice, as though he’d forgotten you were there for a moment. His wide eyes flew to where you stood.
“Ah, yes,” he answered, somewhat awkwardly. He cleared his throat, face scrunching presumably at the discomfort he was feeling from the poison and his wing, as well as whatever he’d just ingested. “It will nullify what it can and flush out the rest. It’s easier to treat than…”
“Your wing?” you finished for him, offering a small smile when he nodded and shifted a bit in discomfort. “I can help with that, I’ve mended broken wings before.”
Once more, the male seemed taken aback by your knowledge and area of expertise. He didn’t speak for a moment and you took his silence as acquiescence to your offer. Turning back to the chest beneath the basin, you rooted around for some bandages, wrap and gauze. You peered inside, searching for anything else that could be useful, and made a pleasantly surprised noise as your fingers wrapped around a jar and pulled it out.
"Honey," you read the messy cursive along the side. "Perfect."
The male was sending you a curious look as you turned back around with the items in hand, and you sent him a smile as you made your way back over.
"Is it only your wing that's wounded?" you queried, glancing over his body once more but unable to tell if he had any other wounds due to the fabric covering him.
The male nodded, cheeks warmed, his gaze averting from you only to flicker back not long after. He was acting like a shy teenage boy that had invited a girl into his room for the first time, and you had to fight back a giggle at the thought.
"I managed to dodge most of their arrows," he answered, lifting his arm— your gaze moved to his side where there was a gap in the cloth that had been disguised by his bicep and elbow. "But one got me in my side, and the end snapped off when I fell— the arrows grazed my wings but it was the tumble that broke one."
You made a sound of acknowledgement, moving so that you were behind him and seated on the edge of the bath. You placed the items on the floor by your feet, rubbing your hands together before dipping them into the water; it was perfect room temperature and almost felt as though it wasn't there at all as it dripped from your fingers.
"Okay, I'll sort your wing out first then we can take a look at that arrow wound," you said, since he didn't display anything more than discomfort you figured it hadn't gone that deep and you could afford to wait a little more. Besides, it seemed like his wing was causing him the most pain. You had to pause for a moment, baffled that was an actual thought that had just run through your head. No, it was fine— this was just a fever dream, it's fine.
"That would be good," the male said, sounding just as awkward as his posture indicated he felt. "... Thank you, human, for helping me."
You waved your hand dismissively despite the fact he couldn't see. "It's no problem, it's in my nature to help, I guess. Is it okay if I touch your wings?"
You knew you'd have to do it anyway to fix it, but it felt oddly rude to just touch his wings without asking; they were so majestic, so beautiful and surreal it felt like it would be too intimate of an action to perform without his consent. At his nod you allowed your hands to settle gently on the affected limb, the feathers brushing against your skin like liquid silk. You caught the shiver that rolled down his spine at your careful touch and hoped that it wasn't one of pain. You stood up, knowing you needed to identify the location of the break you suspected to be there. Your gaze caught on the scraps of material around his shoulders and back that were blocking your touch a little.
"Can you take off your shirt— uh, your robes? It'll make it easier for me to see your wing and find the break," you said, cheeks heating slightly in embarrassment. The process and actions were familiar to you, but the scenario was entirely different— you'd never tended to a bird that had a human body or that had a human face as attractive as this.
The male sputtered, attempting a response before merely giving up and allowing his head to dip in a nod. You released his wing, watching as he slipped the material from his upper half with practiced ease. The cloth moved like liquid across his shoulders, gleaming slightly in the lantern light in a way that reminded you of fine silk and satin. It didn't take long before his shoulders and back were bared to you, with the exception of the areas his wings blocked off. You murmured a thanks before returning to the task you'd previously begun, fingers sinking into the soft, silky down of his wing once more. Another shiver greeted you at the motion but you tried to ignore it for both your sakes.
Carefully, you grasped the wing and extended it slightly so it wasn't so folded— the male let out a soft hiss at the motion but didn't stop you, understanding it was necessary. It was at this moment you realised he was still very much a stranger and here you were, preparing to help bandage his broken wing and then fish out the tip of an arrow from his side. You didn't even know his name!
"By the way," you started, fingers feeling softly along the bone at the upper portion of his wing for the source of the break; you had a feeling it would be on the inner side, closer to his back. "Who are you? What are you?"
The male started a little, letting out a sharp, pained gasp when you prodded a certain area. "Ah, there, I think it's there," he took a moment to collect himself before continuing, with you easing your fingers off the painful area as he did. "And I'm... My name is Namjoon. I'm the deity that resides upon this mountain peak and protects the island's inhabitants."
You let out a soft, unintentional whistle at his words. This was awfully intricate and tied into reality for a fever dream, but you didn't want to consider the alternative and so just decided to go with it, for your brain's sake. It didn't hit you until a few moments later that if what he said was true, you were currently touching the wings and fixing up the wounds of the local deity— the being that the islanders revered and paid their respects to for protection. You didn't really know how to process that revelation and decided to put it on the backburner.
"That's, uh... neat," you shuffled back a little, surveying his wing; the feathers were still ruffled and bloodied in some places, something you'd need to take care of before wrapping it. "Is it okay if I clean your wing and fix the feathers a little? I don't want it to be uncomfortable and crusty when I wrap it."
The male, Namjoon, nodded his consent, and to your surprise he shifted and held out a washcloth. Where had that come from? You decided not to think too much about it. Taking it from his grasp, you wet it in the bath behind you before wringing it out, speaking up again as you did so, "My name is y/n."
You thought you heard him repeat your name softly to himself, but couldn't be sure. Once most of the water was wrung from the cloth, you brought it gently to the feathers across the massive expanse of his wing that were covered in drying blood and began to wipe them clean as carefully as you could. You succeeded for the most part, only eliciting the occasional shiver and soft whimper. Most of the areas that had blood you assumed to have either healed or just been from broken feathers or minor nicks in the skin, since there weren't any visible wounds when you checked over them. You put it down to some god-like healing ability he probably had.
Your fingers ran gently through the feathers as you went, nudging them softly back into place and making the wing appear much sleeker and more streamlined, as you presumed it was supposed to look. With his feathers clean and orderly, it made it that much more obvious where the break was and you placed the cloth down with a hum.
“Well, the good news is that the bone isn’t sticking out so it’s not as badly broken as it could be,” you said, returning your hands to the affected area ever so gently, trying to discern what kind of break it was and if there was only one or more; you winced at the sharp intake of breath on his end that resulted from your touch on the tender skin. “And I think, from what I can tell, that there’s only one break— it doesn’t seem to be too jostled so I won’t have to move it back in place. I think it should be okay if I just wrap it. There is a cut that I presume is from an arrow near it though, so I’ll treat that too.”
Namjoon nodded, turning to glance over his shoulder as you reached for the honey, eyes caught on watching the firm muscles shift beneath the smooth skin of his back as he moved. His wings fluttered softly, the left one more so than the right, as he adjusted himself and you found the gesture oddly endearing.
He didn’t talk much as you set about tending to his wounds, carefully setting and wrapping his wing so it didn’t move too much and allowed for optimal healing. You wondered why he was so quiet before you remembered he’d been chased through the forest and poisoned a little, so was probably understandably exhausted. You found your own fatigue catching up to you now, as you wound the gauze around his wing a final time, your limbs feeling as though they weighed more and more with each motion you had them conduct. An ache was settling deep in your bones, and your eyes began to burn, tired brain urging you to close them and rest. It had been a long day, for the both of you.
By the time you’d managed to fix up his wing, the cut and the wound on his side, the two of you were just about ready to fall asleep where you sat. With somewhat wobbly legs, you rose and helped him up, almost dragging him back to the room youd come through to get here. You were extra mindful of his wings now, and they fluttered softly as he walked, the unwounded one curving slightly to drape around his side like a cloak while the other remained constrained within your bindings. When he reached his bed you eased him down with a groan from the both of you, his eyes closing as he went down. By the time he’d flopped onto his stomach completely, he was out.  In all honesty, you weren’t far behind. You slid to the floor beside the bed, meaning to take only a moment’s rest before shifting to somewhere more opportune, but once you were down it was all over from there. Your lids fluttered clothes and within seconds you were well on your way to the land of dreams.
Could you dream in the midst of a fever dream? You supposed you’d find out.
The first thing you thought when you woke up was, holy fuck did your neck hurt. Blinking awake and wincing at the acute pain in your neck from the barest movement, it didn’t take you long to realise you’d fallen asleep sitting against the bed, which was no doubt the cause of your pain. Having said that, an attempt to sit up had you realising with a groan that the pain you’d expected from yesterday’s activities had very much arrived. Your thighs, calves— hell, even your shoulders, were all tight and sore. You’d need to do some serious stretching later; maybe you could get Yeri, or even Irene to help you—
You paused, the thought triggering a certain set of memories that were quick to flood your mind. The forest, Minhyuk disappearing, the winged man who was apparently a deity and lived on the top of this mountain. Your head was reeling as you attempted to reign your focus back in— had all that really happened? Your gut twisted in an answer of its own, while your mind vehemently denied the possibility. How could it have happened? There was no way, absolutely no way…
Blinking, you allowed your gaze to finally wander, sweeping over your surroundings. A room that seemed oddly familiar, but felt different than you’d expected. It took a second for the reason to hit you; this wasn’t your hotel room. Something akin to panic rose within you, your body lurching into a sitting position despite the resulting pain that throbbed in your limbs. No, this wasn’t your hotel room, this was the room that belonged to the bird-man-deity, Namjoon, in your dream. But that prompted the question; had it really been a dream at all, or were you still currently in the middle of it. It didn’t feel like a dream, but you didn’t know how else to explain the memories you had and the things you’d seen…
You couldn’t help but think that Minhyuk would have handled this much better than you.
Your admittedly chaotic thoughts were interrupted by a soft sound, from outside the room you were currently in, and a pained turn of your head had you realising belatedly that the bed you were leaning against was currently empty. Which begged the question…
Where was the bird-man?
With much effort and sheer force of will, you managed to pull yourself to your feet, the bed admittedly playing a large supporting role in the feat. It hurt a little to move your legs but it was fine, nothing you couldn’t really handle. You suspected that as soon as you moved more and got to stretch them it would ease the pain somewhat.
The shuffle out of the room and in the direction of where you’d heard the noise come from was a surprisingly quiet affair, and that meant that when you froze at the entrance to the kitchen its occupant didn’t notice your presence.
Namjoon, as you recalled he’d introduced himself, was fiddling with something, a pot from what you could glimpse, and gently throwing some food items inside. You sniffed, fighting a soft moan at the enticing scent and slapping a hand quietly to your stomach when it roiled in hunger. Surprisingly, the male still didn’t notice you— you didn’t doubt the large, inky wings played a role in obscuring you from his vision. Subconsciously, your eyes strayed to analyse your handiwork; the bandage and gauze was holding up well, the wing not looking like it was sitting too uncomfortably or too restricted. You felt a pang of pride in your chest. All those hours of prac had come in handy.
You didn’t get to stroke your own ego for very long though, because a few moments later and the male was turning. Your breath caught in your throat, since you weren’t ready at all — you hadn’t even thought of what you were going to say yet— and you might have let out a panicked yelp did he not beat you to it. As he turned, his wings shifted, ruffling slightly, and the bandaged one didn’t cause any problems but the unrestricted one decided it was time to stretch. It extended as he turned, succeeding thoroughly in knocking a large array of items from the bench. Your mouth dropped open, hand extended to help, as the winged man before you whirled around and scrambled to catch the items; he ended up knocking more things down in the process.
“Gods,” you heard him mumbling under his breath. “This is the worst. I haven’t had to have my wings out constantly in so long— this house is not wing friendly.”
Unable to hold it back at the hilarity of the entire scene before you, a snort slipped from you before you could stop it. The male shot upright, back ramrod straight and eyes wide as they found you, and once more his wings proved to be too large and clumsy for the space he was occupying as a bowl went tumbling from the counter and hurtled towards the floor.
You were aware enough of the situation at this point that you could lurch forward and catch it in time, the cool, smooth stone nearly slipping from your fingers before you grasped it securely. The male was gaping at you, his own large hands outstretched in the ghost of his belated attempt to catch the bowl as he fumbled for something to say.
“I, ah— you’re up,” was all he managed, face flushing. You’d noticed he was a little awkward, but if anything it was kind of endearing. “I was making something for the pain— mine and yours. Your limbs are sore, no doubt?”
You nodded, slightly taken aback at the fact he knew you were one big walking ache right now.
The male hummed, having confirmed his suspicions. He turned slowly back to the pot that had miraculously managed to stay in one piece on the stove above a flame. From what you could tell it was some sort of stew, and the mere thought even without the smell beginning to brush your nostrils was enough to have you salivating slightly.
"It is almost done," he spoke once more, the low register of his voice bringing a slight flush across your cheeks as it brushed your ears through the silence. You sincerely hoped your face didn't betray your state of fluster. His gaze flickered to the floor for a moment, before continuing up to meet your own; the cocoa and amber mix of his iris was enough to make your heart flutter momentarily, the sunlight filtering through the windows illuminating them so prettily you almost let out a sigh in appreciation. "I have to apologise in advance; I'm not a very good cook."
You couldn't help but crack a smile at that. "I'm sure you're an excellent cook," you said, a sheepish laugh escaping you as your stomach growled in anticipation. "But I'm so hungry that I'd eat anything you put in front of me without complaint anyway."
Namjoon allowed a smile of his own to spread across his face at your words, cheeks flushing just enough to bring your attention to the dimples now making their home there. His head tilted and his expression shifted as something crossed his mind.
"I'll hope for both of our sakes that it's at least edible then," he mused, dark lashes fluttering as he peered at you as though he was trying to decipher something. It took him a few seconds to continue, "You know... you're quite nice. Humans possess such duality, it's quite startling."
It took you a moment to realise that he wasn't making a comment solely on your character, but on your kindness compared to the cruelty of the humans that had shot at him for his wings. You nodded, since he was right. Humanity was multi-faceted in that way, and a lot of the faces you wished to never see.
"You're right," you responded after a moment, the ghost of a smile tugging your lips. "A large portion of humanity is... yeah."
Despite your inability to find the word you wanted, Namjoon seemed to understand you just fine. He hummed, before his nose wrinkled and he turned quickly back to the pot; your heart nearly leapt from your chest as his wing narrowly missed a jar on the way.
"Ah, it's ready," he murmured, whether to himself or the both of you, you didn't know. He turned though, taking one bowl from the bench and holding his hand out to you— you hadn't even realised you'd still been holding the bowl you caught, and hurried to pass it to him with a warm face. He sent you a thankful smile and went about serving the stew. "Here you go, eat up. I apologise again if it's not that great in taste, but it should help with the pain and healing of your muscles."
You took the bowl and spoon when offered to you, and followed the male to sit on the floor at the table. Contrary to what he insisted, you found the second the first mouthful graced your tongue that it was delicious. You were quick to tell him so, and the winged deity had spent the remainder of the meal with a shy smile and flushed cheeks. You were quick to devour your portion, resisting the urge to go for seconds since you knew that was your tongue talking and not your stomach which, admittedly, was quite full.
After thanking him profusely for the meal, your attention was drawn back to his wounds and the bandages covering them, courtesy of yourself. He might have been able to treat the one on his side himself, as he seemed quite capable of healing himself somewhat if his decent recovery from the metal poisoning was anything to go by, but since you were already intent on changing the wrap on his wing you may as well change them all while you were at it. The male blushed when you mentioned it, and after placing your bowls back in the kitchen area moved over to the other side of the large, open space with cushions; the long, raven feathers at the bottom of his wings brushed the floor heavily when he sat, and you were careful not to step or sit on them when you returned after getting more materials from the washroom.
"So," you began as your fingers grasped the material of the bandage and tugged it loose gently. The male flinched slightly, but didn't let out a noise besides the hum of acknowledgement he made at your speech. "If you're a deity... shouldn't you have, like, super quick healing?"
The winged man seated before you snorted softly, and you refused the blush that tried to colour your cheeks. His wings shuffled, adjusting softly, before they settled and allowed you to continue your movements. His voice was slightly thick and strained as he spoke, and you gathered that his wings, aside from being hurt, were probably a very sensitive area for him. You did your best to be careful.
"I do," he answered you, the barest hints of amusement curling in his tone. "But being poisoned... slows it down a fair bit. I'm not sure how long it will take for my side to heal and my wing to mend after being poisoned like that."
You hummed in understanding, pondering what to say next when he shifted awkwardly and continued.
"And... about that," you heard him gulp, and a mixture of curiosity and trepidation fluttered within you. He sounded slightly regretful as he spoke, "I'm not sure if you're aware, but when you agreed to help me last night, you entered a deal."
Your hands stilled in their movements, mind blank for a moment before kicking back into gear. Actually, considering what he was... that made sense. You got the feeling his definition of a deal was a little more serious than yours. You let out your breath at once, an oddly calm feeling of acceptance washing over you.
"What does a deal entail, when it is made with you?" you asked, fingers returning to their previous tasks. Namjoon let out a slightly surprised noise and you presumed it was because of the way you'd worded the question.
"In essence, we are both bound to fulfil our ends of the deal," he responded, toned back shifting as he shivered slightly. "So you are to 'help' me as you've agreed, and I am to guide you from the mountain once your end is complete. I've not ever been faced with the consequences of breaking a deal like this, but I have heard from fellow deities that it is not... pleasant."
You hummed softly to acknowledge you'd heard him, while allowing the words to soak in. So really, what he was telling you was that you were stuck her 'helping' him, which in this case you took to mean healing him, until he was as good as before, at which point he would guide you down the mountain and back to your hotel. The hotel where your friends were, probably worried sick about you at this point. A sudden, alarming thought rose to the forefront of your mind at that realisation.
"My friends," you started, clearing your throat when you voice caught slightly in your throat. "They're back in the village at the bottom of the mountain. I'm worried about one of them, he split from me in the dark just before I found you."
"What is his name?" you were surprised at the question, but answered nonetheless. A few moments of silence echoed after you supplied Minhyuk's name, Namjoon taking in a deep breath before letting it out slowly. "He is safe, do not worry. No one on this island has come to any harm in the past day— I don't sense him on the mountain or in the forest."
You let out a breath of relief you hadn't even realised you'd been holding, hands resuming their distracted grooming of his feathers before you applied the next wrap. "Can I..."
You didn't need to finish for him to know what you meant. He was apologetic when he next spoke, "I do not think the garden walls will let you pass until your end is fulfilled."
Disappointment was fresh in your lungs, but you understood. Plus, a small part of you was actually relieved— you hated leaving things half done, and at least now you'd know for sure how he healed.
You let out a sigh, hating how dramatic it sounded. "That's fine. I did agree to help, and I'll be glad to know you're healing."
You couldn't see his face, but from the way the tips of his ears began to burn pink you guessed that your words had made him blush. The thought made a soft smile tug your lips.
Surprisingly, you didn't really mind the idea of being here with the winged man until he was completely healed. Even more surprisingly, you could have sworn a small part of you was even looking forward to it.

hi all !! this is an introduction to my freshest muse and newest baby yeo eunchan otherwise and more commonly known as ‘chan’, he’s a sweetheart but of course because its me and i can’t resist giving my muses slight torture, he’s a tormented sweetheart. if you look at his pinterest here you’ll get an idea of his style better since that’s pretty essential to him as a muse in this case hshd. below the cut you can find out a bit more about him and if you hit the like, i’ll be sure to throw him at you for plots !! lets get into it:
BACKSTORY:
chan’s childhood wasn’t particularly dark or strained. he is by far the least tragic out of all my muses. but for me, that’s still pretty tragic by mosts standards. growing up he always had a very supportive father in regard to his homosexuality and androgynous qualities. he grew up in a happy home and despite not being rich he was very fortunate to have rich opportunities come his way. to be fair he’s pretty easily pleased but most of his experiences thus far have been plentiful
perhaps that is why his luck has to run out somewhere down the line, in the worst way it possibly could. his mother passed when he was young due to cancer. it was a grave and difficult time for his father as well as the rest of the family. his father crumbled eventually, in the hospital with health issues now that are so severe he’s due to pass any day and is basically in a vegetative state already. chan was left to raise his five year old sister nari and take on the responsibility.
for this reason, he could be considered a struggling single father as he’s pushing his own dreams and goals aside to accomodate for nari and make sure she has the best upbringing which is comfortable for her, where she can see chan as a father figure as well as an older brother now, who can be relied upon and responsible. balancing the line and the roles between brother and father isn’t always easy though when the lines are constantly blurred. he has sacrificed most of himself and his youth to keep nari happy and healthy and mostly untouched by the death of their parents.
this hasn’t been easy though, it’s left chan isolated and with no one to speak to but the five year old girl a lot of his feelings get locked in a box and left unexplored, he cannot have a moment of hesitation or weakness because then that will affect nari. his mourning process and grieving has been put on a backline, and he only really allows himself to break down in quiet moments without nari. such as when walking through the forest to be with nature, visiting their graves or on the edge of his bed having a good cry when nari is fast asleep due to the feeling of living in the empty space where his parents used to fill it all up.
PERSONALITY:
chan is a makeup artist, he does it professionally for models and artists all throughout the industry but he also does it for fun, becoming pretty popular as a person who gives tutorials on youtube and instagram as an ‘influencer’ but he really hates that label and prefers to simply think of himself as an artist. he also does the bit of fashion blogging and photography on the side.
he considers himself an adventurer and for that reason he also travels a lot, usually while he is there he’ll study as he does photography for a course as well as a part time student and his main interest is in ancient architecture and art. most of the time he’ll roadtrip in his styled up vintage pick up but occasionally its flights to more beachy area’s, his two favorite places are greece and italy and he spends most of his time in those places if he can.
chan has a very vintage sense of style and he enjoys doing most things the traditional and old school way. although he does add a modern mindset to a lot of it. aesthetically style wise envision chan as fingers full of plenty of rings, ankle bracelets and arm cuffs with loose puffy sleeved shirts and ripped up mom jeans or high waisted ones. he cycles mostly everywhere on his vintage style bike.
very much a gentle soul, little bit of a nerd and activist in the sense he wants to save the earth. he can be really intense about learning about nature and how to preserve it. he has always felt the most in touch with the natural world compared to the hum and chaos of the modern world and city life. he’s no saint of course and he’s still a sucker for coffee but other than that he likes to think he does his best.
paints and draws very amazingly likewise, he prefers to draw flowers and people the most but he’ll work with whatever he’s got on hand. usually you can only catch him whipping out a sketchbook if he’s feeling stressed or overwhelmed as a form of escapism and quiet time.
he is a little bit of a quixotic type so sue him, like one of the ‘have you ever fallen in love’ 'five times a day’ types but it’s not obsessive, it’s more of an admiration he considers all people beautiful and worthy of love in their own way and would state most of them are art to him. you could be the worst person and he’d be all ’ you dont have all the facts’ 'which are?’ 'i love them’.
although he doesn’t identify as genderfluid, he has a very genderfluid and androgynous sense of fashion and often wears clothing and makeup typically labelled as being more feminine. he likes a soft and classy look that usually consists of a good lip tint or ultra glossy lip and a natural but glittery smokey eye look. think kinda like the instagram influencer ivanbaaaaah for reference.
MISC:
growing up chan struggled with religion a lot, he and his family are very religious but his sexuality caused some issues. his father had always been supportive but his mother was a different story, unfortunately his memories with her aren’t the fondest. though he has a very dark history with religion, he loves to be in churches that are empty or abandoned for moments of reflection. often he wonders if he doesn’t even have god as the one consistent and reliable thing in his life, then what the hell does he have. he feels even now sometimes that he’s letting god and his mother down for the way he is but there is less shame now than what he suffered when younger.
everything in his life basically revolves around nari, she goes most places with him and any task he’ll find a way to make fun for her, he doesn’t spoil her but he also doesn’t ever leave her to go without even if that is at his expense to do so. they love to bake together and he does that pretty often.
has a part time job as a barista on night shifts and also in a patisserie. he works from home on his influencer content again to accommodate for nari and he also takes his course in photography and media online to best suit nari so he doesn’t have to leave her with a babysitter too often as he believes that’s no childhood and him just being lazy in his duty towards her as her parental figure at this pivotal time in her life.
he’s putting off most of his dreams and aspirations right now for until nari is older, he could’ve been much more famous as an influencer but he chose not to be and put those opportunities to broaden his career on hold for a while because having a famous sibling in her life wasn’t the kind of overwhelming attention and pressure nari needed to be surrounded with right now.
he honestly just wants to make sure nari grows up feeling safe, comfortable and happy as well as confident in herself and chan. she’s his primary responsibility and he considers himself her closest bet to a father now so he wants her to feel she has that bond with him as well as the bond of him being her brother.
PLOT BUNNIES:
a babysitter plot would be great, someone who he can rely on and uses often to leave nari with when he has no other choice and particularly on nights when he has to work. ideally it would be someone nari felt very close to and idolized so he knew they had an amazing relationship and she’d be happy and relaxed when he was gone. he’s very over protective of her so he’d also have to feel pretty close to the person. it could go any way really, it could be a pining thing, a best friend thing, whatever honestly.
this boy definitely needs a confidant so throw that at me any day.
friends who can help him reconnect with religion and spirituality in different ways so he knows there’s always a way for him to feel tied to god somehow and a god who loves him and best suits his needs somewhere even if it isn’t necessarily in the religion he grew up with.
work buddies at the cafe he works in or patisserie would be amazing too.
maybe a tutor/study buddy kinda person he met online through doing his course of media and photography to make sure he was making up for the classes he was missing out on by not being able to attend day lectures in college.
just people with the similar hobby of photography would also be awesome or models even that he can do a couple of freelance jobs for on the side when they need him.
muses for him to draw they’d be very special people indeed bc chan will rarely whip his sketchbook out in front of anyone let alone ask to draw them.
more single parent muses would also be awesome eventually or older siblings who kind of take on that role half the time so have some idea of what its like who he could meet through taking nari to things like nursery, etc.
neighbor bc who doesn’t love a good single dad and his neighbor plot  who’s all like woah that guy is super young and he has a kid but im also sure there’s no woman on the scene and wow they’re noisy and its kinda infuriating but its also cute as hell cause he’s a hella good dad and in the mornings i can hear them baking and doing food fights or playing together and i often see them messing about coming back from grocery shopping etc and actually its kinda touching??
gay pals cause we love gay pals as well as ur everyday pals we love a platonic bond between fellow gays.
love interests of any kind rlly, pining situations, crushing, flings, ex’s ( they’d have had to have ended on good terms tho bc chan just can’t hate anyone ), first times e.g. sexually, boyfriend, kiss u get the idea

Tessa Virtue, A Muse In Gold
Like all of us, Nivea fell under the charm of ice dance champion Tessa Virtue. To become the brand's national ambassador after her coronation at the PyeongChang Olympic Games, the medal confided to her twirling with Elle Quebec. Pieces chosen from a gold interview serve as a nice reflection.
Flag bearer and Olympic Champion: What has your life been like since you returned from Korea?
I pinch myself. The adrenaline drops gently. The stress and the pressure too. But I often wake up and ask if I have to go to the arena to compete or practice! It takes time, I believe, to realize that our efforts have borne fruit, that our dreams have come true in such a great way and that a page has turned. And it's so rewarding to meet strangers who admit to being touched by our performance. Scott and I were not alone in this adventure.
How do you envision your role with Nivea Canada?
I am honored that the brand has thought of me. In my opinion, Nivea is synonymous with quality and reliability. Even the smell of the cream can comfort me! My mom uses it and has praised me the merits since I was a kid. Nivea and I share the same values of authenticity. When you feel good about yourself, it shows and it's beautiful. It is a leitmotif that I make mine and it is a message that I wish to transmit to women.
What is a typical day in a skaters life?
I have a hot lemon water and then I run to the arena. From 7:30-9:30 am, I skate relentlessly. After a break, I go back from 11am-1pm. Partly, the afternoon is spent in the gym, or I'm taking courses in cardiovelo or pliates, just to optimize my cardio, my tone and my flexibility. Scott and I also work with off-ice choreographers to enhance our social dance, hip hop, jazz ballet, and classical ballet skills. All this, combined with medical treatments and various sessions of mental or nutritional preparation. Back at home, between 6 and 8pm, I have a bath, I relax and then I go to bed. And that's roughly five to six days out of seven.
Who decides on your on- ice looks and runs them?
All the little details, from clothing to beauty, help to enhance a performance, tell a story in the most sensitive way possible and gain credibility with the audience. In close collaboration with the Montreal designer Mathieu Caron, I develop my outfit. Hairstyle and make-up are then complete. Everything must be harmonious but practical. I opt for clean linen, buns or classic ponytails, which clear my face. I do my hair and makeup solo, but I learn tips from different experts over time. Because you have to know those well so that the people in the stands as much as the spectators in front of their HD televisions can appreciate the setting beauty. Its almost a meditative ritual that calms me down before going on the ice.
Tell us about Montreal, where you have lived for two years now.
It was a pleasure to train in a city as charming as Montreal. It is a place that breathes the equilibrium, especially because of its cultural offer: there are shops, cafes and museums almost every corner! I lived in Little Burgundy, near the Lachine Canal. I used to frequent the Marche Atwater where I bought peonies, tulips and hydrangeas. I took my cafe September Surf, then I went to Outremont, shop at the Billie shop. Montreal has an irresistible European flair: living there is stimulating. I leave part of me there. But I'll come back!
If you were asked to define the word beauty, what would you say?
A person is beautiful when she is true and faithful to herself. Nothing is more attractive than a free being, who knows what she's worth and wants, and who does not apologize. Not surprising that I have always idealized Audrey Hepburn, for her talent as well as her strength and style. I would have liked to chat with her about something stronger than a cafe.
In everyday life, what beauty ritual do you observe?
Between show makeup, the cold of the arena, the repeated trips by plane and the stress, my skin is put in hard test! So I make sure to deeply hydrate while focusing on a simple daily routine. My mother taught me very early not to touch my face too much and not to overload it with products. I use morning and evening a make-up remover without rinsing. I follow a hydrant. And when I'm not in representation, I do not make up much: mascara and blush are enough for me!
What do you do when you want to change your ideas and get back to it?
No massage: it sends me back to my daily athlete competition (and it is more painful than relaxing.) I immerse myself in a hot bath, perfumed with lavender or vanilla and illuminate the candle, then I decompress immediately, cutting me a moment of the world and offering me a digital detox. I also like so much Scandinavian spas with thermal baths, which I discovered here in Quebec.
What playlists are you listening to?
The playlist of a 65-year-old woman, whom I would never play in a party, for fear of dying of shame! For proof: I like Marvin Gaye, The Spinners, Hall and Oates. So I'm not very, very bad ... But I'm working on it, with the help of Spotify and my sister! At times, that said, Beyonce and Rihanna play at full volume at home. #FemalePower
How do you describe your style?
It is a refined style, rather classic, but endowed with a touch of modernity. I like to invest in timeless pieces of quality: blazer, leather jacket, boots. Accessorizing everything carefully and personally, I think we managed to create a look good to yourself. I like the creations of Alexander Wang, Smythe and Elizabeth and James.
After show tours, you are planning to retire. What will you iss the most and least about competition?
Certainly, I will not be bothered at sunrise and morning in the cold arenas! But the adrenaline of the competition I will miss terribly (even if it inevitably causes anguish, pressure and stress). I am a competitor nee and I will always remain, even at 75, when I watch the Olympics on TV!

»»———— CHAPTER ONE ————-««
For as long as I could remember, me and Kim Seokjin have always been apart of each others lives. Our mothers were the best of friends. They even got pregnant around the same time. We were only a few months apart but once I was born, the two of us were inseparable. We did everything together. We learned how to ride bikes together, ate our meals together, even cried together. You get the gist of things.
As we got older, we begun to develop ideas of what we wanted to do with our lives. Jin wanted to dive into the entertainment industry, become an actor. I wanted to dive into the same field of work, but instead of being in front of a camera, I wanted to be behind it.  I loved filming others, capturing their happiness is what made me love it so much. Which is why I wanted more than anything to become a director.
But that’s not exactly how things turned out.
Jin did indeed get to be in front of a camera. But instead of acting, he was apart of a global phenomenon. He was 1/7 of the boy group BTS. He got to travel the world, perform in front of thousands of people, bring joy to their lives. Me on the other hand? Well...I was stuck running errands for people at BigHit Entertainment. I was the errand girl. Though I was behind a camera, this wasn’t the way I envisioned it.
It was first thing in the morning. I had just made it to headquarters. Making my way into the lobby, I swiped my badge, a beeping sound was heard, giving me the okay to proceed further into the building. I didn’t particularly hate the job, the one good thing about it was that I got to be around my best friend. I just kind of hated taking direction from others, I’d rather be the one calling the shots.
It’s just a little bump in the road. I keep telling myself.
One day, I would achieve my career goals but it was all a matter of when. Will the errand girl finally get her dream job? Could she climb up the ladder? These were the questions I found myself asking a lot lately.
Getting into the elevator, I pressed the button for the fifth floor. I was to report to Manager Sejin everyday, to see what I would need to be doing for that day. I made haste from the elevator, walking quickly down the hallway and stopping at a door. Manager’s office. I took a quick breath in, preparing myself for the long day ahead of me, and gently knocked on the door.
“Come in!” could be heard from the other side.
I peeked my head in, making eye contact with my boss. He was looking over some paperwork from what it looked liked, his glasses falling off his nose as he pushed them up.
“Good morning Manager.” I said in my sweetest voice possible.
He looked up, a slight smile on his face. “Ah, Y/N have a seat. You’re right on time.”
I walked over to the chair in front of his desk and sat down. Manager Sejin was a really nice guy but I was always a bit intimidated by his presence since he was my boss. We won’t talk about the effect Bang PD has on me.
“How are you doing this morning?” he asked as he pushed the paperwork to the side.
“I’m doing good.” Nodding my head as I replied. “Ready to get the day started~”
He chuckled a bit. I always seemed to make him laugh with me “enthusiasm”. Though I wasn’t really keen on the position I had, couldn’t have the higher ups know that. And besides, I was pretty grateful for my job. At least I was in the industry I wanted to be in. I would have been miserable if I was elsewhere.
“I like your spirit. I’m glad you’re the one ensuring our boys have what they need.” his voice sounding soft.
I returned the smile. I could never be upset at Manager. He took care of not only the boys but me as well. Without him, and Jin putting in a good word, I wouldn’t have this opportunity to work for such a great company. Even as the errand girl.
"Which reminds me,” he began, pulling me out of my thoughts. “There’s a meeting this morning discussing the next album. Since the members will be present as well, can you go and grab some coffees for them Y/N?”
Great. There’s nothing like a good coffee run. I didn’t really like doing them but at least I got some fresh air. That was the only plus to them. I already knew what the boys wanted as far as their drinks. So this should be a piece of cake.
“Sure thing sir. I’ll get right to it.” I quickly began making my way out of his office.
I closed his door softly on the way out, not wanting to disrupt him since he was once again looking over paperwork. I swung around to begin making my way to the elevator when I bumped into a hard chest.
“Yah!” the person exclaimed.
I looked up to meet a very familiar person. It was Jin. He was acting as if the impact from us bumping was the death of him, clinging on to his shoulder like it was injured or something.
“Oh come on.” I objected. “Don’t act like you’re in such pain.”
“I don’t think you understand what is at risk. I need to be in tip top shape. I am worldwide handsome after all.”
I rolled my eyes at his remark. Jin had been stating he was worldwide handsome for a while now, his fans literally called him that too. Sure he was a good looking guy but sometimes I think he took it too far.
“You’re so full of yourself Kim Seokjin.” I walked past him heading once again towards the elevator.
As I walked, I could hear footsteps behind me. His footsteps to be exact. We were so close that we even knew what the other person sounded like walking. Basically, we knew pretty much all the details about one another. He most likely wanted to bug me. Seems like that’s what he did on the daily. Did I have the tolerance for it today? Most likely, since it was pretty much related to my job. When I was at work, Jin pretty much got away with everything. As much as I wanted to just smack him across the head, I couldn’t while at BigHit Entertainment.
After getting in the elevator and pressing the button for the lobby, I looked over to my side view. Surely enough there was a smiling Jin beside me. Yeah, he was definitely trying to bug me.
“What do you want Jin?” I sighed, making eye contact with him.
“Where you going?” he asked in a teasing manner.
“Going to go grab YOUR morning coffee.”
“Mind if I tag along?” he asked, this time in his normal tone.
My eyebrow shot up in confusion. “You want to help?”
He nodded his head multiples times, almost childlike. Though the help would have been great, I didn’t want to get in trouble over this. Everyone knew we were childhood friends, but I had to be professional at work. Plus, I didn’t want the other employees to feel like I was being shown favoritism.
“As great as that sounds, I’m going to have to deny. Don’t worry Jin. I got this. I’ll be back before you know it.” I threw up a peace sign.
The elevator doors slid opened as I walked towards the entrance. I spun myself around to face my best friend once more.
“I’ll see you soon, okay? I believe you have a meeting to get ready for.”
We waved to one another as I made my way outside into the busy sidewalk. I couldn’t help but think how sweet it was of Jin to offer to help. I was seriously thinking he was going to tease me, make fun of me in some type of way. Maybe not this early in the morning, it’s bound to come out. This is Kim Seokjin we are talking about.
It took me about ten minutes to get to the nearest cafe. There was a bit of a line, which was to be expected. It was still morning time. Many people were on their way to work and needed to grab a cup of Joe to get their day started. I wasn’t too much of a coffee drinker, but the aroma was enticing. Coffee beans roasting seriously smelt so good. As I was waiting in line for my turn, I thought to myself. I just had this feeling that today was going to be a good day. I had today in the bag, I just knew it. Nothing could stop this feeling.
But boy was I wrong.
Tumblr media
I was walking out of the cafe, a drink holder in each hand. As I was walking back to headquarters, I took in the scenery. Though the city was still pretty busy, many people walking about, the weather this morning was amazing. It would be my definition of perfect. Sun was out, not too hot, a bit cloudy with a soft breeze. It was the type of weather that you wanted to be outside in. Not cooped up in an office building. Hopefully this weather would still be present once I got out of work later.
My attention was drawn to a CD shop that I always saw when I went on these coffee runs. In the window display was a promotional ad for BTS’ last album. A cutout was positioned in the display as well. I stopped to gaze at it, looking at the 7 members smiling. I found my eyes drift to my best friend. He was blowing a kiss, classic Jin. But what I saw was how he happy he looked. His eyes were telling me that at least.
As his best friend, I had seen him express all different kinds of emotions and this one was by far one of my favorites to see on him. When he was genuinely happy. Even though he wanted to originally act, Jin was living out his dream. I couldn’t help but be a bit envious but it made the passion inside me burn that much more. I was done sulking. I was going to make a name for myself. Standing in front of this display, I made it my goal that I was going to move up in the company. No more waiting. I needed to just take a leap of faith. I felt this urge of determination in me, my confidence soaring through the roof. I was going to make this my reality.
That determination however would soon fall as someone crashed into me, and all I could feel was hot burning coffee spill all over me. There goes my good day.
Coffee spilled all across one of my arms, scalding the skin that was exposed. All I was able to process at that moment was that I’d have to go back to the cafe. Not even caring about the burn that was forming on my arm. I looked up to see the person who crashed into me, walking away in a hurry. Not even caring to stop to see if I was okay. I can understand being in a rush, but not having any sort of sympathy, who does that? I would have been okay with a least a sorry.
Some by passers took notice of the situation, a kind older woman even stopping to help me by offering napkins. At least there were some good people out in this world. My mind was still going back to the fact that I needed to go grab replacement drinks. I checked to see the time on my watch and because of this incident, I was going to be late. I really hoped that I wasn’t going to get scolded at. That’s the last thing I’d want to happen.
I quickly threw away the cups as well as the cup holders and made haste back to the cafe. I couldn’t waste any more time than I had already.
Tumblr media
I was late. Thirty minutes late to be exact.
On the way back, I knew I couldn’t run but I was walking at a surprisingly fast pace. Making sure not to collide with anyone. I was successful too, but I couldn’t change the fact that I was going to be tardy. Please don’t scold me when I get back.
The meeting was held on the second floor, in the huge conference room that was there. I quickly swiped my badge and made my way towards the elevator once more. Finally being able to rest, I took some time to catch my breath.
I’m going to be trouble. I could just feel the disappointment coming from Manager already. Even worse, what if Bang PD finds out about this. Surely he would because word around here gets out pretty quickly. Surely the other employees would spill the beans.
Walking down the hallway to the conference room, you can begin to see that meeting was already in progress. That room could be seen from the hallway due to the large glass windows. Which meant when I walked by, my presence would be known. No turning back, I guess.
As if right on queue, eyes began to look up as I walked by. I quietly opened the door, bowing a bit in regards to my sudden interruption. I looked over to Manager, I couldn’t tell exactly if he was mad or not. He seemed to have a bit of a poker face.
I quickly walked over to where the members of BTS were. Namjoon made eye contact with me and gave me an assuring smile. I quickly began to hand out their drinks, all I wanted to do was get out of this room. One by one, they received their coffee, each saying thank you to me as well. Coincidentally, the last one to get their drink would be Jin.
He looked to me, there wasn’t a smile on his face. From what it looked like, he seemed worried. Now wasn’t the time to question it though, I needed to hurry up and get the hell out of this room. Eyes were still glued to me and I knew that my face was burning up from embarrassment. Standing right behind Jin, I hurried to place his drink in front of him. His eyes met with mine, all I could do was offer a slight smile. That didn’t seem to be good enough for him though. As I was beginning to bring my hand back, he grabbed my wrist, forcing me to look down at him once more.
“Are you okay?” his whisper only could be heard by me.
I felt even more embarrassed at this point. Everyone was still looking at me, it was just super awkward.  I seriously couldn’t wait for the day to end already.
“Yes, I’m fine.” was my reply. “Now if you’ll excuse me.”
I yanked my arm back and almost ran out of that room. I knew I wouldn’t hear the end of it from Jin later on. Sometimes Jin acted like he could be my mother instead of my friend. He was just looking out for me, I was an only child after all. Kim Seokjin was in a way the closet thing I had to a sibling.
Leaving the conference room, I made my way over to where my cubicle was, it was on the same floor. Sitting at my desk sounded so good at this point. That way I could quietly sulk in my misery. No one would bother me, so I could just zone out for a bit.
Pulling out my chair and flopping down, I noticed a box sitting on my desk. It was filled with fan mail. Which only meant that I needed to sort them out by member. A task I was definitely okay with because I mostly listened to music while doing so. After the terrible morning I was having, that sounded so incredibly perfect to me.
Opening one of the file cabinets underneath my desk, I pulled out a pair of extra earbuds I kept, plugging them into my phone and started playing my favorite playlist. Reaching into the box, I began sorting the envelops, making a pile for each member. The music I was listening to helped change my mood dramatically, and soon I found myself not paying attention to my surroundings.
Tumblr media
Hours passed by, as I reached into the box, grabbing the last piece of fan mail there was. It was a letter for Hoseok. I carefully placed it on top of his stack. I leaned back in my chair, taking my ear buds out. Looking around, there wasn’t anyone else with me on this floor. It was weirdly quiet. Did the other assistants not come in today? Or did they leave for the day already? I wouldn’t have known since I was in my own bubble for the last few hours.
Leaning further back in my chair, my eyes found themselves slowly closing. After the whole coffee incident this morning, I seemed to have been in better spirits. Who would have know that something as simple as sorting out fan mail would be therapeutic? I should just make it my job permanently.
Hmm, that actually doesn’t sound like a bad idea.
Eyes still closed, I felt someone slightly tap my shoulder. In my head I thought it must have been Jin, but once my eyes flew open, it wasn’t even remotely close to who I thought it would be. My head still hanging on the back of my chair, I looked up to see Manager Sejin standing right there. That poker face of his still present.
“Sir!” my body jumped up in response to his presence.
Quickly brushing my self off to seem more presentable, I quickly bowed towards him.
He looked to me as his face seemed to soften up a bit. That’s a good sign, right? I’m praying and hoping that it was. His glasses were falling off his face again, he pushed them back up the bridge of his nose before finally speaking.
“Mind telling me what exactly happened this morning?” he asked.
My heart sank so fast. I knew this would come up eventually. I just needed to be straight forward with him. My job could be on the line here. Okay, not that extreme. But I did have to be honest with the manager. No matter how embarrassed I might become once again.
“Yeah, about that.” a loud sigh escaping from my lips. “I would have been there on time but someone on the way back crashed into me, I had to go back to grab new drinks.”
I stood there biting my lip. I was a bit anxious on what the manager must have been thinking. I could feel the disappointment coming off of him once more. I surely must have let him down. I bowed once again towards him.
“I’m so sorry about that sir! I promise it won’t ever happen again. I will be more punctual. I can guarantee you that.”
I held my head low. I was feeling the most embarrassed right now, begging my boss to forgive me for my tardiness today. The thing that made my head jerk up was not Manager scolding me, instead he let out a soft chuckle. Eyes widening from the confusion, I patiently waited for his response.
“You’re too hard on yourself sometimes, Y/N.” he began speaking in between his chuckles. “I’m not upset or anything, I just had to come check on you and make sure you were okay.”
What a relief. I wasn’t in trouble. If I didn’t say it before, I’m saying it now: My manager is seriously one of the most kind people I have ever met.
“If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to ask okay?” Manager Sejin smiled once more and began walking away, most likely to his office. Before leaving, he poked his head back into my cubicle, gaining my attention once more.
“Don’t tell anyone I said this but you’re actually my favorite assistant we have so I tend to look after you more than the others...I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The manager. Said. I was. His favorite?
I felt so much weight being lifted off my shoulders. So much relief came over me. It was also good to know that the manager thought so highly of me. Knowing that he did, I had to do my utmost best not to let him down.
My body turned around to face the stacks of letters once more. This time I needed to tie them up so when they were given to the members, it would be all nice and neat. Grabbing some string from one of the drawers of my desk, I began tying the letters tightly together. Once I got done with this task, I should be done for the day. Which means I can finally go home and relax. I was so focused on finishing my work, I didn’t realize a pair of arms wrapping themselves around my shoulders. I cocked my head up to surely see a cheesy Jin.
“Hey you.” I casually said.
“Hi you~” he casually replied back.
Seeing I was in a better mood than this morning, Jin nuzzled his chin into my neck. For as long as I could remember, Jin was very physical in our friendship. Lots of hugs were given to me over the course of knowing him. When we were younger, we used to hold hands but I made him stop at some point. There were assumptions in middle school that we were a couple, but I shut that down real quick. I never saw Jin in that sort of way. I valued our friendship way too much to have a silly crush on him.
Besides, I was too invested into my career path for dating. Being single wasn’t as bad as some people made it out to be.
“You sure you’re okay from this morning?” He asked me.
It seemed like I worried quite a few people. Looks like Jin wanted to check on me as well. How thoughtful of him. And here I thought he was coming to pick on me finally.
“I’m doing better now Jin. Just had a little bump in the road that’s all.”
Still in his embrace, I pat his arm, signaling I was fine. Jin tightened his hug, almost suffocating me in the process.
“You mean...Oppa.” he playfully teased.
And there it was. I knew he was going to bring up this at some point today. Jin had been trying to convince me for the longest to call him Oppa. For whatever reasons, I wasn’t completely sure. I immediately elbowed him in his ribs.
“Ow!” he shrieked
“You know I’m never going to call you that, right?” a hiss like sound coming out.
“But why not...” his complaining sounded that of a child.
“We’re the same age! You’re only older than me by a few months. I refuse to call you that. There is just no way in hell.” I pushed him off of me.
Yanking his stack of letters off my desk, I shoved them into his chest.
“Here’s your fan mail. I’m getting ready to go home.”
“Wait, Y/N!” Jin called after me. “Let’s walk together, I was on my way out too.”
I quickly spun around, making him stop in his place.
“As long as you don’t bring up that word!” I pointed my index finger at him, a frown was very visible.
Jin threw his arms up, in a surrender like motion.
“I promise.”
Tumblr media
It had been quite sometime since I was able to walk home with my best friend like this. Normally he would either have a show to perform on, or would have dance practice, sometimes he was just plain exhausted from his busy lifestyle. Having an idol best friend was pretty rough, so I truly cherished moments like this where it just felt ‘normal’.
“Please tell me your day was better than mine at least.”
I had just gotten done rambling about the incident from this morning and how that person just went about their day like nothing happened. Looking down at my arm, the burn was still very much there. Very much red too. Luckily, there was no pain.
“Make sure you apply an antibiotic ointment and wrap a gauze around it for a few days so your burn doesn’t get infected.” Jin informed me while he continued to gaze up at the night sky.
The weather was still amazing at this hour. A nice breeze swept around us, and the sky was clear so you could see how beautiful it looked painted with stars. It was pretty much a breathtaking sight.
“But...my day was chill. Pretty much after you left the conference room, we began talking more in depth about this next album we’re working on. They’re saying the title of it is going to be ‘Young Forever’.”
“Young Forever?” I inquired. “I like the sound of it.”
“Yeah, it’s a continuation of ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life’.”
“So this will be the third in the series, right?” I was definitely intrigued.
“Yup.” Jin looked down at me and nodded his head. “There will be three new singles as well as some remixes.”
I actually really enjoyed all of the songs off those previous albums. My favorite being ‘Butterfly’. So to hear there was going to be a third installment, I was super excited to hear the finished product. I reached into my bag, pulling out my faithful camera. I always kept it on me because you never knew when you would find something interesting or inspiring. Jin would be subject, something I had a lot of practice with since he was never camera shy. Turning it on, I focused it on his face.
“Mr. Seokjin, with this new album, what will be the first on the agenda in preparation?” using my interviewer voice, I waited for his response.
He took notice of the camera, smiling and blowing a kiss towards it.
“Ah, let me think about that Ms. Director, hmm I believe there will be a jacket photo shoot pretty soon.”
“Oh, concept photos I see. Does that mean…new comeback hair?” I inquired.
“That’s top secret. I can say that there is a high possibility. With all our comebacks, come new hair to go along with it. You’ll just have to wait and see.” he winked into the camera.
Comebacks were always interesting to me. All the different concepts they had gone through, I was curious to see how it would go with this upcoming one. I always look forward to seeing how they would portray Jin with his looks and all. Currently he had brownish hair, which flattered him very much. I wonder what they would do with it next? I was hoping that they would keep it the same, but that would most likely never happen.
Time always flew when I was with my best friend. I continued to film him being his silly self, even got some shots of that beautiful night sky. Next thing I knew, we were standing outside of my apartment’s building. Feeling a bit sad that our walk together ended, I looked over to Jin one last time for the day.
“Thanks for walking with me. We hadn’t done that in a while and I must say I actually missed your company.”
“That’s no problem at all. I’m just glad to see you smiling again. You had me really worried this morning.” He yawned as he stretched his arms over his head.
“Go get some rest Mr. Idol, I’ll see you at work tomorrow.”
I was halfway through the entrance when Jin spoke one last time.
“Goodnight Y/N”
I stopped and found myself slightly smiling. My back was still towards him, but I knew he was standing there.
“Goodnight Jin.”
Tumblr media
Feeling refreshed after getting a good night’s sleep, I was completely over what had happened yesterday and was ready to make the most out of today. Making my way to work, I stopped at a convenience store to grab myself something to drink as well as some snacks to get me through the day. I had received an email from Manager early this morning stating I was going to be assigned to a “special” task. Curiosity truly got the best of me, I was never assigned anything of this nature.
What would even be defined as a “special” task? Why was it given to me? Of all people?
Walking around the corner of BigHit Entertainment, I could see a figure walking back and forth in front of the entrance. Unable to see who it was from afar, I went in closer to find out who it was. This person was wearing all black, hood was pulled up so their face wasn’t really able to be seen. The only thing I could really tell was that they were fiddling around with an object. As I got closer, I was able to make out who this person was.
“Oh, good morning Jungkook.” I waved to him.
He looked up and was now aware of my presence. He pulled his hood down, exposing his tired eyes and bare face.
“Good morning Nuna.” he waved back to me.
“Ah ah ah.” pointing my index finger up to him. “How many times do I have to tell you, there’s no need to be so formal with me.”
Jungkook scratched the back of his head and chuckled a bit.
“It just a habit, I’m working on it. I promise I won’t call you that anymore Nu…uh I mean Y/N”
I had been around the other six members since their trainee days. When I met them, they all would be so formal with me. I might be an odd one but I just never cared for formalities. I considered them to be my friends as well. So I just never saw the need to use them. My mother likes to say I was heavily “westernized” because of that. She might be onto something.
Looking back at Jungkook, I saw he was messing around with a camera in his hands. I knew he had an interest in film and photography, I was just never around to see him in action. Just seeing him holding the camera in his hands, was actually super adorable.
“What are you up to?” asking him while pointing at the camera.
“Oh, I was actually waiting for you.”
“Me?” my voice sounding a bit high pitched.
“Yes, you” he nodded his head. “I’m in need of your help.”
Jungkook then went on to explain that he was trying to get more practice in with filming and was in need of some assistance when it came to editing. Somehow Manager recommended me to help him with this since he knew of my background in film. I was still a bit confused as to why me, when they literally have a team of directors, and many more credible people for him to get help from. I shouldn’t be complaining because helping Jungkook, sounds a lot more interesting and fun than my normal duties.
“So, will you be able to help me Y/N?” his face looked a bit pouty, trying to win me over.
He didn’t need to win me over though. He immediately had me the moment he said he needed help with editing.
“Of course. I’ll be more than happy to help you out.”
“Great!” he exclaimed while opening the door for me. “Let’s get started then shall we?”
Tumblr media
FEW DAYS LATER
Being on this side of the building was pretty cool! It had been about 3 or 4 days since I begun helping Jungkook with his editing as well as a bit of filming we had done. Being able to be behind a camera, even if it was just to help him out, made me once again realize how much I love this. This was truly a passion of mine.
We were hanging out in what Jungkook called his “Golden Closet Studio”, his personal work space where he had done numerous covers of songs and where he had been practicing his editing as well. I loved it here. It was nice and quiet, and hardly any of the other members would come in and distract us. I think the only member who did come in was Jimin, who had been seeking some attention.
I was sitting in a chair that he pulled up beside him, he was currently working on editing some clips we had filmed together the other day. We were out and about in the city one afternoon and got some great shots of the locals. Jungkook even got a few shots of me eating an ice cream cone, I put my camera shyness to the side for the occasion. Which is what he was editing currently.
“Hmm, what do you think of this Y/N?”
I examined what he was doing, though I was to help him, I personally thought the best way to improve was to figure things out on your own. I’d throw in my critiques here and there but for the most part, Jungkook was doing a pretty good job. He was capturing everything so beautifully.
Writing some notes down in a notebook, I scribbled a few points I saw and resumed looking at the computer screen before us.
“Everything is looking really good Kookie. I’m not lying when I say this, you’re really talented.” I gave him a slight pat on the back as a reward.
You could tell he lit up from my comments, his eyes were forming smiles. Being around him for the last few days was so much fun and I was learning a lot more about the maknae by the minute. It was like having a younger sibling, something I had always wished for. I’m glad that me and Kookie were beginning to build that type of friendship.
We then heard a knock coming from the other side of the door.
“Come in!” Jungkook shouted.
Both of us stayed focused on the screen in front of us, the person coming in was most likely Jimin. We had gotten used to it, so he wouldn’t have been much of a distraction. He was probably bored or something after all.
“Uh...hi”
That voice definitely didn’t belong to Jimin. No, that voice was none other than Jin’s. We hadn’t really gotten to talk much since I was too busy helping out Kookie. I was a bit wound up in my work because I was actually really excited to be apart of this. Quickly turning around in my chair, I happily greeted my best friend.
“Jin! Hi.” My smile literally going from ear to ear.
Jungkook turned around as well to make his greeting.
“Hello there Hyung.” he smiled to him as well.
Jin stood there for a bit, not saying a word. His eyes sort of moving back and forth between me and Jungkook. Which was a bit weird. Normally I could read him like a book, but something felt a bit odd here. Almost like he wasn’t completely himself. His brow furrowed a bit before he spoke to us.
“What are you two up to? Alone??”
The way he asked this question, I just couldn’t put my finger on it. It was definitely weird how he worded that. His voice sounding almost unrecognizable.
“I’ve been helping Kookie with some filming and editing. I was given this task by Manager.” my voice still remaining calm.
I was beginning to think that maybe Jin was having a bad day or something. Even idols have them, they’re human as well. You could clearly tell now that something was agitating him. I didn’t want to bring it up now, not in front of Jungkook at least. I made a mental note to ask him about it later.
Jin just continued to stand there, his arms crossed in front of his chest now. I started to worry about him. This really was so unlike him.
“Is everything okay?” I asked, knowing I probably shouldn’t have. His eyebrow twitched a bit, actually it was twitching a lot. I’m pretty sure Jungkook caught on to his attitude change as well since he was the next to ask.
“Yeah, you okay Hyung”?
Jin let out a loud breath. It literally reached all the way over to where I was sitting.
“I’m fine...” he began walking towards the door. “I leave you guys back to your work.”
He stomped on his way out, almost slamming the door behind him. Me and Kookie just stared a bit at each other. A bit taken aback from it all.
“Woah” we both said in unison.
My heart was beating pretty fast. I had never in my life see Jin that mad before. I really needed to know what was bothering him. It didn’t really look like he wanted to talk, maybe I should shoot him a text? I reached for my phone that was in my bag, tapped the messages icon, and began typing.
Y/N: Hey, you sure everything is okay? You seemed pretty upset about something?
Jin was pretty good at texting back, usually within receiving one he’d respond back almost immediately. I noticed that he read my message and was waiting to see him begin typing back, but for the next five minutes, all that I could see was “read”.
I placed my phone back into my bag, and sung a bit in my chair. Jungkook looked to his side, noticing the shift in my mood as well.
“Is he not responding?” he asked, almost like he was some sort of mind reader.
Words couldn’t come out of my mouth so I just nodded my head. He stopped what he was doing and swiveled in his chair towards me.
“I’m sure he’ll get over whatever it is that is upsetting him.” he placed a hand on my shoulder, as a way to comfort me. “He always does, you and I both know that pretty well.”
Jungkook was definitely right though, Jin always got over things that made him upset. He’d be over it by tonight, but I just couldn’t help but picture him in my head, he looked really mad and I didn’t do anything about it.
Some best friend I am.
“You can go ahead and go home, Y/N.” Jungkook’s voice interrupting my thoughts.
“Are you sure Kookie? I can stay longer if need be.”
He shook his head no.
“No worries, I’m almost done with this anyways. You’ve been such a great help! You deserve to get some rest. I really appreciate all you’ve done.” a cute smile now forming on his face.
So I did what I was told. I started making my way out of the building, pulling my phone out of my bag one last time before I began walking home. I swiped to unlock it and once again, my message was still left on read. Hoping he was okay, I sent Jin another text message.
Y/N: I’ll be here if you need to talk.
Tumblr media
It had been some time since I made it back home. Just getting out of the shower, I felt super comfortable in the pajamas I chose to wear: a simple tee, dolphin shorts, and a pair of my favorite fuzzy socks. Since I didn’t have anything planned for the night, I decided to order some delivery and just chill on the couch and catch up on a few dramas I’d been watching. It sounded like the perfect night in. But my mind keep going back to Jin, wondering if he was okay.
My second message was never even read. It was still showing ‘sent’. Was he ignoring me? Did I do something to upset him? I couldn’t think of anything I might have done.
I had been sitting around waiting on my delivery, pulling up my DVR recordings so I could begin my marathon when my door bell suddenly rang.
“Yay, the food is here! That was surprisingly quick.” I was skipping a bit as I made my way to the front door, grabbing some cash on the way.
I opened the door, my mouth dropping a bit at the sight. Jin was leaning against the doorway, a drunken look on his face.
“There she is~” his words very slurred.
I could smell the alcohol coming off of him. How much had he been drinking?
“Jin?”
He began making his way into my apartment, not even waiting to be invited in. He was wobbling a bit as he walked.
“How much did you drink?” I questioned as I closed the door.
“Enough.”
“Do you need me to call one of the other members to come get you?”
“Noooooooo” he turned around and waved his index finger back and forth. “I came to talk to youuuuuu.”
In my head I was thinking this probably wasn’t a good time to talk, but I wasn’t going to deny it. Maybe this had something to do with what was upsetting him earlier? Only one way to find out.
“Okay, we can talk.” I ushered him to take a seat on the couch.
His body flopped down, and looking at him, his eyes were bloodshot red. He was definitely passed his limit. It was probably best if he stayed the night. He looked to me, his head bobbing back and forth as if it were to help him focus.
“What’s going on with you and Jungkook?” his words becoming more slurred.
“Huh?”
“You heard me….” he leaned in a bit closer. “What’s going….on with you...and him?”
My ears couldn’t believe what they were hearing. I was being interrogated by Jin, a drunk Jin at that. I felt a frown forming on my face. I crossed my arms in front of my chest, my eyebrow twitching now.
“Is this what this is all about?” It was my turn to ask the questions. “You think me and Kookie have a thing for each other?”
He jumped up from his seat. “Yah! You even call him by his nickname, you two have been spending way too much time together, and he has a thing for older women. I knew it!”
I got up as well, though I wasn’t as tall as him, I tried my best to look him square in the eyes.
“I’m literally helping him out with film stuff, that’s all!” my voice was now becoming louder.
Jin shook his head, not wanting to believe anything I had to say on the matter.
“I’m….not…..buying it.” his eyes squinted at me.
I was becoming annoyed at this point. Drunk or not, I didn’t deserve this from him. He was about to hear a piece of my mind.
“Oh my god! Why does it even matter?!”
“Because!” he yelled back.
All this arguing was simply pointless, it would be never ending at this rate. I let out a deep sigh, beginning to make my way over to the kitchen.
“Jin...you’re drunk. Can we just talk about this when you’re not? You should really get some rest. You can stay the night here. I’m going to grab you some water so you can stay hydrated.”
Opening up the fridge, I reached for a bottle of water. Before I could even close it, I could see Jin’s arm in my peripheral slamming it shut, making me jump back a bit. His free arm made it’s way around my waist, pulling me close to him. My eyes grew wide at his actions. He spun me around, making me face him. His eyes softened as they looked at me.
“Y/N...”
My body completely froze. Jin’s hand came up to my face, pushing away some strands of hair that fell down. Still looking at me, his hand was soon cupping my face. Brushing my cheek lightly with his thumb, my face was becoming hotter by the second. Still unable to process what was going on, it felt like my brain stopped functioning. For some reason my heart began to pound. I had never felt this sensation before. It felt like my heart was about to burst from my chest. Like I was going to have a heart attack.
And then the unthinkable happened.
My lips soon found themselves entangled by his. He pulled me closer to him, my eyes continuing to grow wider. Jin was kissing me. My best friend was kissing me! This all seemed so unreal. I almost gave into it when I realized he was still very much drunk since I could taste the alcohol on his lips.
My senses were starting to come back.
I pushed him off me, heart still beating extremely fast. My gaze meeting with his once more, his lips looking plump still from the kiss. I was now completely in shock. Did that really just happened? I didn’t know what to feel in that moment, but one thing was for certain. I was now super confused about all this. My heart just raced for my best friend. My best friend is here drunk and probably doesn't even know what’s going on. Why did he do that? Was this done on purpose? My mind was thinking so many things now, and all I could say to him for the rest of the night were five words.
“What the hell Kim Seokjin!”
[ TO BE CONTINUED ]
A/N: Did I really just leave you with that cliffhanger? Why yes. Yes I did haha In the chapter, I did focus more on the friendship between Y/N and Jin, but I promise you things get more steamy in the next chapter. What will become of our two besties? Only one way to find out! Go on and read the final chapter haha

would he b a baristo???
uhhh Fuck whatever
anyway!! so donghyuck got this job cause he wanted money
honest to god he hates the smell of coffee but ca$h is ca$h
so he took the job the closest to where he lives
anyway hes had this job for like what??
3 months now??? sure we’ll say that
and so he knows a lot of the regulars
he Loves To Joke Around with them
especially this customer mark
but anywho
so he just KNOWS everyone who comes in and out of this place
he knows their names and what they order
even tho he only started three months ago he Pays Attention
but then he sees u
and he just kNOWS that u arent a regular there cause HELLO !!
hes never seen u before
never seen u during his shift anyway
okay well so hes never seen u before,, but he just Looks At You because youre so,,, gorgeous???
what even??? he really is questioning if youre real or just his imagination
when you walk up to the counter though, he cant even talk,,, like hes frozen
and then when youre trying to get his attention you just wave your hand in his face and snap ur fingers
that doesnt really work out so u just look at his name tag and say his name a few times
‘donghyuck!’
and then he just about melts but then he Snaps out of it because he isnt getting paid to stare at customers
so u order whatever u get at a coffee shop,, thats up 2 u
then he asks for ur name, u give him one,, and then he becomes Confident
‘do i know you from somewhere??’
‘oh i,, i dont think so?? why?’ and ur just confused cause uve never seen him b4 why is he saying that LMAO
‘its just that u look A LOT like my next boyfriend/girlfriend’
AND U BOTH VISIBLY REDDEN LIKE ITS ADORABLE
AND HYUCK IS JUST STUTTERING CAUSE WOW HE JUST S AID THAT CJDJ
BUT THEN U JUST SMILE
and then u walk over to sit somewhere and u just!! hcjsjd
u think about it and ur all like ,,, hmmmmmmmm
hmMmmMmmMmmMMM
your name gets called for your drink by hyuck and u Take Your Chance
‘apart from being cute, what do u do for a living?’
REDNESS PT 2
AND THEN U RUSH OUT BEFORE HE CAN SAY ANYTHING CJDJ
and hyuck just Thinks about it All The Time
cause u dont come back for a week
but when u do come back
hes Red In The Face
all of his coworkers (read chenle and jisung) start to make fun of him
this time tho he takes ur oder right quicc
but he doesnt say anyhing 😪
ur a lil disappointed but i m e a n
its whatever😔😔
anyway!! so u get called for ur drink and then u just hang out in a booth
just sippin ur drink
and then u turn ur cup
then u see it
‘hi. im a theif. i have come to steal your heart : )’
AND U CHOke
but then u start to quietly laugh cause chsjjdjs HE JUSTXHS
and hyuck sees the whole thing
‘donghyuck ur not being paid to just stand around u MORON’ -jisung
and he blushes Again !!! wow !!!
hyuck then sees u walk up to the counter
and then u say ‘do u have an extra heart? mine was just stolen ;)’ AND U WINK
both of u: Shook
u cannot believe u just—
yall really b doing this to urselves😪
anywho
and then u Ru n again
flight or fight?? just flight. thats it.
but the next day u come in again
and honestly hyuck was up all night writing down pick up lines cause that seems to be what u two r doing now
OKAY well anyway !!
he sees u right away cause u stand out from the crowd 😪😪
and hes mentally picking a pick up line to use this time
nd so u order or whatever and he makes the drink
and when he calls u over he says ‘careful,, the drink is hot. but not as hot as u ; )’
AND UR JUST RED CJJSJD
and HES RED
and chenle and jisung are making fun of him again
AND SO U SMILE AND U SIT DOWN
but right after u sit down u deadass get back up and go to him JUST to say
‘excuse me, i got the worst tongue burn. i think i need mouth-to-mouth’
and its dead silent from where chenle and jisung r standing cause they just hear EVERYTHING
but everything is still going on around u its just silent BEHINd the counter
honestly ur ego is too high for this one cause hyuck! is! speechless! so u couldnt care less about the stares
and donghyuck just blushes DARK RED
he doesn’t say anything but just Stare In Shock and so you just give him a cute grin, take ur drink and g o
AND HYUCK IS STILL THInKING ABOUT THAT LMAODFSDKJFH
so anyway time skip like 2 months
in those two months u guys get to know each other as well,,, but
EVERYONE knows that u guys just say pick up lines to each other when u come in
like,,, sometimes theres no actual conversation,,, it headass goes like this: u come in, either u or him say a pick up line, then u guys get Flustered, then  the one who didnt Attac first waits a few minutes before shooting Their Shot
and then thats it.
thats the interaction
and honestly everyone knows that you guys have heart eyes for each other
like????
get ur SHIT together u guys smhhhhsdkjfhksd
and honestly hyuck: thinks Its Time
he’s getting his shit together,,,, what about you?????
when you go to the cafe again
you don’t say anything to hyuck,,,, he doesn’t say anything 2 you
everyone is confused LMAOOO
but he just gives you a big Smile and then you wait patiently for ur order
when u receive ur order u go and hang out a bit before you leave
and you look at your cup
‘will u be the coffee to my creamer?’
and you’re just,,,, smiling so hard,,,,,,, wtfdhkajsdlah
ad everyone is just ??? they really b looking like a maniac why are they smiling like that to themselves???
when you walk up to the counter you go nd ask him ‘is black coffee bitter?’
and hes confused but he says yes cause,,, black coffee,,,,,, yikes
BUT ANYWHO when he says yes you pull him by the collar and Kiss Him
AND EVERYONE: SHOOK
CHENLE AND JISUNG: GAGGING
literally everyone is cheering because ur Stupid Pining is Over
and then u pull away because wow u done did that in Public
but then u write ur number on a napkin and ur all like,,, text me!! : )
and u grin
ur both grinning
its cute
and then u leave and hyuck texts u about plans because,,, u guys didnt hang out,,, ever,,, u only saw him when he worked LMAO
anyway!! when u guys do finally hang out,, you guys are like,,, super cheesy with each other
but hyuck is a Sarcastic Asshole so there’s some of that throughout the date
but honestly you guys have such a good time
time skip like a few months!!
anyway!! u guys are dating !! wow cute much cute very cute
when you visit him at work you guys Still Say pick up lines to each other
chenle and jisung regret taking this job because this is the sappiest they’ve seen hyuck
hey ca$h is ca$h LMAO
but when you guys would hang out, outside of his job, he would be all lovely but Still a Sarcastic Asshole
you would sometimes wait for his shift to be over and go with him to his house just to hang out
like you guys would change into something comfy (u have ur own drawer!! but its useless cause u steal his clothes)
and then u guys would cuddle up in his bed and just Talk for a while
and then one of you would fall asleep
honestly this is hitting me right in my uwus i--
and the other would Be So Soft shdskjfh that they would lowkey squeal and then would hold the other closer and just Sleep
anyw ho
donghyuck :( is :( so :( cute :(
he :( deserves :( the :( whole :( world :(
so !! ending notes: barista!donghyuck is a trope that I Love
honestly he could b any kind of barista i just chose him to be a flustered, and flirty one slkdfj
AND THEN HIM AS UR BF??? SASSY AND SWEET !! WHAT A COMBO!!!
and thats a wrap!! end!!
