do you like totk or botw better?

In short: Yes, I like botw better.

Here are my reasons, though!

I know a lot of people view it as the better experience, which is completely subjective and valid if you do and like it better, but I just view botw as being better in almost every way.

I will give it to totk. The dungeons have a lot better atmosphere. The game has some extremely high highs with the build-up to the wind temple, the whole great sky island segment, and the final boss is a much better fight (though dark beast ganon has a better theme song imo).

Other than that, I prefer botw. Totk has a much grander story, but it's completely mishandled. You can argue that totk has a great story but has poor execution, and to me, execution plays a big role in what makes a story good. You can have good ideas bit it all falls apart if they aren't executed well which ends up making the story bad. It's not that totk has a good story with poor execution, it has good ideas but the bad execution leads to a poorly told story. (I hope that makes sense). Botw has less of a story and is more like a set of events. Botw has history and backstory that is told more organically. Link has amnesia so he slowly regains some of his memories of the past with some people trying to help fill him in. It feels more real...in a weird fantasy way. I guess totk is similar with how we see Zelda's memories, but not really? It's weird to explain. Everything 100 years ago is felt in present day botw while in totk most of those things don't really matter as it happened so long ago. Things only start to resurge because Zelda wanted to investigate under the castle. Totk also has twists like a story. Idk if this is making sense but that's how I feel on their stories. There was just not much botw could mess up on story wise as the way it was presented.

Gameplay wise I can not lie totk is technical marvel with the zonai tech. That's the most impressive thing about it. Tbh building contraptions isn't my thing though, it takes too long to make and experiment with a machine when I can just do whatever that machine was gonna do much faster. I see why people have a lot of fun with it though, it just isn't my thing. One thing I HATE in totk though is the amount of menuing I have to do. Elemental arrows had a serious downgrade. Yeah it's cool to fuse stuff to arrows, but not when I have to do it to ever single individual arrow and if I want to try something new I have to scroll past 50 other items in a single line. It's just tedious. If I want to use a good weapon I have to go to the menu, drop an item, and menu again to fuse it to a weapon that will still break. Item breaking is still an issue but it's more annoying and the weapons no longer look cool. Totk has some cool abilities, but idk I'd trade them all for remote bombs lmao. I hate going through caves, especially early game, and having to deal with the rock walls where they want me to fuse a rock to a stick 10 times to get through one cave. There's just a lot of little things gameplay wise that bug me. They doubled down on botws gameplay issues and added some more annoying ones. I don't even have to mention the sages abilities, that's a whole mess.

On the topic of gameplay, botw just has the better world. Idc, exploring that world for the first time is an unforgettable experience. Totks main world is too similar so the magic is gone. The sky and depths are also unimpressive and repetitive. Botw also has the benefit on how the word felt so lonely yet alive. Everything had a purpose or a story. The world has a history. And totk just doesn't have that. Outside of the upheaval, totk doesn't really build on botws world that much. I was hoping to see if they would've added new towns or see how they'd rebuild hyrule, but they really didn't do that. We only got lookout landing, which doesn't really count as a town, and a bunch of building stuff lying around which is cool I guess. Hateno has a school and Terry Town expanded a little, but with the estimate of about 5 years since botw it makes you wonder...what have these people been doing? We can theoretically build Terry Town in one day. There could be new towns.

Totk is a sequel that doesn't really acknowledge it's predecessor which is so odd. Botw stands on its own and is an overall more cohesive experience. Everything in the world feels purposefully crafted for that world while totk just slaps things on top of it with not much thought. Botw has some amazing world building while for totk it's either "the Zonai did it" or has some contradictory world building. For example, the old sages lifted up the sky islands so that Link would be protected from Ganondorf shenanigans, but then other sky islands suggest how they've been around long before Rauru since young Zonai used to train in them or something. There is also how Zelda says Link never leaves her side, but people she interacts with on an almost daily basis do not recognize him and how even treat as if he doesn't know some facts about her. So either she is overexaggerating by a lot and/or lying in her own diary or that people in hyrule have the collective memory of a rock. There's also Zelda supposedly never giving Link the champions leathers yet as a gift, but we see him wearing it in the beginning. Idk there's more contradictories, but I haven't experienced this for botw??? Totk is so disconnected and disjointed in comparison.

I'm trying to be vague but there's a lot to say, I'm sorry. I really was enjoying this game at the beginning but the more I played the more I noticed or saw things that bugged me and just kept adding up and up on each other. Botw was never like this for me. It's just more cohesive and I like that. There are so many other things I haven't brought up like the repetitive cutscenes, or missing characters/characters that SHOULD know Link but don't (namely Bolson and Hestu). But this post is long. I can't keep complaining about this game. Botw really is that one of a kind experience, and totk tries to replicate it but worse. Botw had a vine that totk lacks. You feel so alone, but you meet knew people and make friends. You build connections as you learn about the past and help those around you. There is no story, you're just a person going through the motions and exploring the vast world around you. Totk can't replace that for me. I'm the main character playing a side role in a disjointed world where not much makes sense. Everything is similar in all the wrong ways.

And most important of all, they took away Link's fun dialogue and personality now he really is bland asf and used to defend that he wasn't.

I love them your honor. Doesn't even have to be romantic, I just want to see them being obsessed about each other. I'm also a pretty big obianidala fan, hence why I added her too. (I'm a multishipper really. I have my otp but there's a lot of ships that I enjoy)

1. Obi-Wan Kenobi/Anakin Skywalker(/Padmé Amidala) (Star Wars)

When I first watched star wars (not that long ago, I only watched it because I wanted to see the sequels in theater lmao) I wasn't a big fan of the prequels so I mostly ignored them, but then a couple years ago I randomly rewatched them in the middle of the night and suddenly I was obsessed. I'm not even sure how I ended up on AO3 (did I go look for obikin? Did I stumble on it? Idk) but eventually I started reading Pining in Preschool, then realised that @palfriendpatine66 was on tumblr, I started interacting with more people around here, and now I'm (slowly) writing fics, and I'm having the time of my life here, so thanks Pal!

I don't think any if my past fandom brainrots reached my current level so I'm pretty sure I'm here for the long haul (at least it's not stopping anytime soon).

It's not super obvious here but I'm actually a huge Marvel fan (well, the MCU, I've never read a comic), and especially Captain America. Stucky is just, 🤌 so tasty (a lot of similarities with obikin actually imo). I'd like to talk to whoever thought "I'm with you 'til the end of the line" was a straight sentence to repeatedly say to your bro throughout an entire century though. Like?? I'm all for relationships that defy the boundaries of platonic and romantic, but still, that's kinda gay.

2. Steve Rogers/James "Bucky" Barnes(/Peggy Carter) (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

The first MCU movie I saw was actually captain america 2 (and not the first one lol) in theater, and I was instantly hooked, though since Endgame I've been less into it, since my fav is gone (and I have to agree with tumblr on that one: they're making too many movies and shows, I can't keep up 😩)

(And I'm still super salty about what they did to steve in canon, they should have killed him off instead of whatever the fuck that was, honestly)

I also added Peggy because she's great, and polyamory is so much better than love triangles or shipping wars. (I'm not polyamorous but I believe in their beliefs. I think it's because of the aromanticism)

Same as with obikin (and stucky too tbh) I don't really care how they love each other, I just care that they do. They're the most important person to each other, be it romantic, platonic, familial, idc.

3. John Watson/Sherlock Holmes (mostly BBC Sherlock, but from the RDJ movies and the books too)

I've obsessed over (non-existent) clues during the last season, and deluded myself into thinking they'd become canon, alas, it didn't happen.

I've translated a couple of fics in french for that ship, but I've never written for it (I thought about it tho), and I've read a lot. That's the fandom where I've read some of the best queerplatonic fics, and that's my favorite interpretation of the ship, especially sherlock being some flavor of aroace.

4. Aziraphale/Crowley (Good Omens)

I love them as a queerplatonic relationship, and I genuinely think that's what they are in canon, the haters can suck it, that's not queerbaiting even if they dont become a canon couple.

Okay, I'm starting to see a patern here. Am I really that predictable? You can just copy-past what I said above.

5. Elizabeth Bennet/Mr Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)

Not quite the same vibe as the others, but I've read sooo many fics and books (straight up published fics lol), I've watched a bunch of different adaptations (even the one with zombies)... The worst part is that I think I've only read the og book once, oops.

I actually inherited that fandom from the women in my family lmao. My mom, sister and sister-in-law are all obsessed with it, so I read it to see what all the fuss was about and, yeah, I get it.

And that's it! There are other fandoms I'm into, and other ships in those fandoms, but that's pretty much it (the main one that's missing is Dinluke, the others are mostly smaller ones).

I'm not super actively in those fandoms (apart from Star Wars obviously) but i come back to them now and then. Usually I re-watch it then binge-read a bunch of fics (while my main fandom stays in the main spot in my brain) then I let it go again until it comes back (while obikin still stays in the main spot).

Also Harry Potter used to be my main obsession but JKR kinda ruined that for me so I'm not really into it anymore (hence why I didn't list it even though I have written fics for it).

Anyway that was way too long, if you've read all of this then props to you!

TLDR: l.evi and e.rwin are treated to a rare hearty meal. l.evi overindulges, and e.rwin is left to attend to him.

The evening sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the bustling town of Trost. Within the walls, the Survey Corps' headquarters stood as a beacon of strength and resilience. Tonight, however, it was not the threat of Titans that occupied the minds of Captain Levi Ackerman and Commander Erwin Smith. Instead, it was the promise of a delicious dinner that drew them together – just sharing a meal together in Erwin’s quarters.

The mess hall was abuzz with the clatter of cutlery and the hum of conversation as soldiers gathered for their evening meal. Levi and Erwin found a quiet corner (even though they wouldn’t stay long), away from the commotion. Erwin, with his trademark scruffy blond hair and a warm smile, observed Levi as he perused the menu with a scrutinizing eye. Tonight was a special occasion – the Corps had managed to secure a shipment of fresh ingredients, and the cooks had prepared a feast to lift the spirits of the weary soldiers.

Levi sighed, realizing that the menu was far more extensive than usual. "They're really going all out tonight," he muttered, glancing over the various options.

Erwin chuckled. "Well, after all the hard work everyone's been putting in, I think we deserve a treat. What do you feel like having?"

Levi's eyes narrowed as he scanned the choices, finally settling on a hearty meat stew. "This," he declared, pointing at the menu with conviction.

Erwin raised an eyebrow. "Stew? Are you sure you want something so… filling?"

Levi scowled at his lover. "What's that supposed to mean, Commander? I can eat whatever I want."

Erwin laughed as he held his calloused hands up, his deep voice resonating in the small space. "Alright, alright. Stew it is."

The stew, however, was just the beginning. Once they were able to order, the pair asked to sample various dishes from the feast – roasted meats, potatoes, bread, savory pies, and an array of desserts that tempted even Levi's complicated palate. And when that food arrived, they snuck out to Erwin’s quarters to enjoy their rare time alone. The pair settled in, the aroma of the freshly cooked food wafted through the air. The stew was steaming hot and filled with succulent chunks of meat and vegetables. Pies freshly baked, warm to the touch. Desserts creamy, filling. The sparkling wine burbled within its bottle. Levi's eyes widened at the sight.

"This looks… incredible," he admitted, a rare hint of excitement in his usually stoic demeanor.

Erwin grinned. "I told you. Now, dig in!"

The aroma of the food was tempting, and Levi’s stomach betrayed him with a low growl. So, he wasted no time, attacking his stew with gusto. Bite after bite, he savored the flavors, the warmth of the food filling him with a sense of contentment. Erwin watched with amusement, marveling at how the usually reserved captain seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself. However, as the meal progressed, Levi found himself indulging more than he intended. The savory flavors and the sparkling wine were too tempting to resist. Erwin observed with amusement as Levi's usually stern expression softened with each bite.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Levi suddenly muttered between bites, blue eyes flickering upward to glare at Erwin. Erwin didn’t reply, but instead smiled sheepishly at his boyfriend.

Sooner or later, with their plates empty and their bellies pleasantly full, Levi leaned back with a satisfied sigh followed by a grunt. Erwin couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of his usually composed boyfriend looking slightly dazed from the wine and culinary onslaught. Levi's usually flat stomach had expanded into a not-so-subtle, noticeable roundness. Buttons from his uniform straining against the overtaxed organ. Crumbs serve as a testament to the delicious meal they had tonight. Erwin couldn't resist a smirk. "Looks like someone overindulged."

Levi shot him a glare, but it lacked its usual intensity. "Shut up, Smith. It's not like you didn't eat like a pig yourself… *Hic!*”

“Hmph,” the blonde grinned. "Come on, Levi. Sit down on the couch for a moment. I'll take care of that stuffed belly of yours."

Levi eyed him suspiciously, as the comment caught him off-guard, but he complied. Erwin chuckled before the two of them stood, and he guided Levi to the couch. As Levi stretched out on the sofa with a groan, Erwin approached, a mischievous glint in his eye. Levi returned Erwin’s look with a look of his own, nearly shooting daggers into the blonde. Before Erwin could even sit down, Levi let out an unexpectedly loud burp, surprising even himself. "Ugh, this is your fault - *Hlp!*" he accused through gritted teeth as he scowled, cheeks flushed.

Erwin smirked, sitting down next to Levi. "Well, if you're going to blame me, I might as well take care of you." Without warning, after unbuttoning the buttons of Levi’s uniform in order to free the groaning organ, he gently rubbed Levi's overfilled stomach in slow, soothing circles.

"What the hell are you doing?" Levi grumbled as his hand still feathered his now-protruding belly. The thick air against it was cold, but the warmth of Erwin's touch was… surprisingly comforting.

"Just helping you. Is that too much to ask?" Erwin teased with a wink, rubbing Levi’s bloated stomach a bit more vigorously.

Levi winced, feeling another burp rising. "Ugh, this is ridiculous," he muttered, his hand now over his mouth.

Erwin laughed, continuing the belly rub. His eyes flickered downward to study Levi’s tummy: round, bloated with gentle stretch marks and redness around the center. Each small movement the shorter male made was enough to make his belly wobble, earning a groan of unhappiness. "Seems like the surplus amount of food alcohol isn't agreeing with you, hm?"

Levi shot Erwin a glare but couldn't hold back the next burp. It escaped loudly, surprising both of them. "Damn it, Smith!"

Erwin's smirk widened, finding amusement in Levi's uncharacteristic vulnerability. "You know, you're kind of cute like this."

Levi continued to wince, feeling another bubble of discomfort in his stomach. Though his cheeks felt significantly hotter, becoming more flushed. "Ugh, damn it," he muttered, his hand pressed against his bloated belly. He could feel the contents shift underneath, sending a groan up his throat. Erwin continued his belly rub, applying a bit more pressure once again. "Maybe next time, you'll think twice before ordering so much food.”

All Levi could do was let out another burp, this one a bit softer than the previous ones. "I hate you," he grumbled, though the corners of his mouth twitched.

Erwin chuckled, undeterred. "I love you too, Levi." He paused, feeling Levi's tension gradually ease. "Is that a little better?"

Levi sighed, nodding slightly. "Yeah, whatever. *Bwwurrp!* J-Just don't expect this to happen again - *Hic!*"

Erwin grinned, leaning in for a quick kiss. "I won't. Now, let's get you to bed.”

the fallout show is actually pretty enjoyable. maybe because I’m obsessed with the world and love the new perspective. and yes the props look like they’re from Amazon and the humor is a little “Reddit” for lack of a better term, but the plastic-y look and cringy humor matches the vibe of the games to be quite honest.

with the props/sets though it’s interesting, like they all have this cheapass look but also it’s clear a lot of care and detail were put into the set pieces/costuming, so it gives the vibe of like a YouTube skit where everything is super cheap but you’re like “wow this looks really good considering what they had to work with” except that this show had a fucking $153 million budget so it’s like. come on man.

I DO think that the sets are amazing, for the most part, even if the costuming and props leave something to be desired. like it’s clear that’s where most of the budget went.

I also appreciate that basically the whole cast is unknowns or up-and-comers rather than the marvel-starwars-disney Big Names Only casting that seems to be the only way mainstream media is cast. so that’s cool, I always love the potential for new talent to cut their teeth and get their big break. plus I hate seeing the same shitty fucking actors over and over again. if they’re good idc but like Scarlett Johansson or Jermey renner just suck. like they are not even good at the craft. even like Chris whatever the fuck who plays Thor has some genuine talent and can be enjoyable to watch, but so many of them are just so baaaddd.

the soundtrack is great, honestly, all the picks are bangers & I love the Johnny cash & I actually love the choice to use sound effects from the games in the sound mixing. it’s very fun. like again, cheesy, but it’s a cool design choice.

and like ultimately, that doesn’t really impact my enjoyment of it. all in all it’s so far above my expectations. I’ve been dreading it since it was announced bc I love fallout as a “mythos” (basically) and I did not think a nostalgia-bait fan service big budget mainstream major release could ever have any redeeming qualities so the fact that it’s “fun to watch” and “has a plot” is pretty neat.

also one of the brotherhood people is a they/them which I thought was neat. as of yet they have not gendered them at all like no “brother” or “girl” or “man” or “he/she” it’s been exclusively they/them or their name.

oh! speaking of the brotherhood, I like how they are portrayed. like they are fucked up clutists with a self righteous god complex and I think they’ve really shown that, rather than the brotherhood fanboys ‘fascism is awesome’ characterization that you see in the fandom. the main brotherhood guy having to deal with his idealistic idea of what the brotherhood “should” be versus what it is is intriguing and I’m excited to see more. also very excited to see more prewar stuff.

And so far my biggest complaint so far is the weird ass ghoul. like they make this big deal about him basically being a corpse and he looks like some dude got a bad sunburn. like with all the gore and horror elements I wish they would have made the ghoul look more.. you know.. like a ghoul.

pretty sure there was a poll about thsi at some point but idc if you were a jrwi character what campaign would you be in. actually im splitting this into two questions first of all which campaign would you want to be in and secondly what campaign do you think you'd fit the most in as a character, like, thematically. which one is the most "you vibes"

DUDE THIS IS SUCH A BANGER FUCKING QUESTION!! I would want to be in riptide if given the chance, I love swimming and oceans and sailing, and in a world filled with magic that would only make me happier. Imagine giving my ass one of earl's waterbreathing potions,,,, i would never resurface ever again. Rest of my life spent in the undersea or swimming next to ships that pass whatever reef or island I choose to live next to. I am chip jrwi frfr but only because God was too much of a coward to make me gillion tidestrider because he knew I would never shut up about it <3

And for the question of which campaign would fit me the most thematically! Not gonna lie that was really difficult for me to figure out, but I think im gonna go with prime defenders :D I wanted to say Blood in the Bayou originally, because of the whole "came back Wrong" theme I have going on and how I love those narratives so much (and now that I'm thinking about it The Suckening could apply for the same reasons), but honestly I just think pd fits me the most. Bebo campaign for a chibo-pilled guy,,, dude I'd thrive honestly. It's just goofy enough for me to be the walking cartoon character I am and just serious enough for the stakes to be there and the gore and Came Back Wrong themes that I would constantly make a thing to thrive with me. Not to mention how much I absolutely fuck with comic books and super heros like that's my SHIT dude marvel/the mcu in general has been a special interest of mine for as long as I can remember, born and raised here [photo of the entire mcu timeline with all ironman spiderman and deadpool movies + moon knight and loki underlined with clickbait circles and arrows surrounding them]

i love ichiban so much. like in general but like. he's so neurodivergent. so so much i haven't been able to let go of it since i started playing. he's still filtering everything through dragon quest after 18 fucking years in jail without touching it and his loved ones realize and adapt to this bc they're cool so theyre like,, okay,, lemme put it like this. so you got a debuff from your one night stand. it's gonorrhea. and he's like okay i understand. that blows but im ready to hear my treatment options. and then he'd handle it like a well adjusted adult. he just processes it in a roundabout kinda way. he's just like me fr. and he's fully hallucinating gamer shit in the middle of street fights and his friends (who he met 2 days ago) are like lol ok cool cat that's wild. keep hitting them idc. my stats are going up? that's actually really cool ty for telling me i love you forever. i would die for you. and they're right for it. like they just accept him as-is with little fanfare because that's just ichi. they get on his level conversationally and it's not some awful horrific burden to talk about a thing he likes. and he hallucinates and he's not portrayed as some scary monster or unsettling pitiable thing. he's a cool guy and he's got all these nd traits and i think a lotta ppl probably need to see that. it feels very humanizing to me idk. he's a deeply kind and intelligent and loyal and dependable and wonderful man. one of the game protagonists ever maybe THE game protagonist ever and he's always in fucking situations constantly, as is the case with every rgg protag. anyway i love him. i know a lotta ppl look at him and go oh adhd for sure bc he's bouncy or whatever. and while i question that impulse i see you,, but that is NOT all okay. my man has some comorbidities. he's at a quaint little buffet of the dsm-5. something is UP with him and he's doing marvelously and everybody loves him and I love him too. yeag

ok so in terms of like canon stuff i feel like riley and sam had the closest thing u could to a meet cute in the literal army and i see their relationship as like very similar to daveklaus??? i think it definitely like in precatws i see them as meeting on base, maybe even not knowing each other before they got assigned to the project and got their wings etc

there’s a lot of potential for a slow burn there even as just a platonic relationship and tbh given the popularity of media like 1917, dunkirk, top gun, and that rn (which….. the modern stuff is more HMMMM but i mean the interest is there???) n marvels propaganda deal with the us military i don’t know WHY they HAVENT greenlit some sort of d+ mini series giving us a samriley prequel ??? at least a short 😭 but idk maybe they’ll actually give us some sams past crumbs in cap 4?????

in aus though i like to hc riley and sam as having the same hometown, i love the idea of riley being a quintessential southern boy with the drawl and the slang, i also heavily borrow from just say you do’s version of riley in which he has a dry sense of humor and takes no shit just like sam!! i picture him as “sassy” and over the top in the same way as like JVN lol

also i think he and sam have the best fashion sense out of anyone in the group except maybe nat when she’s not dressing super comfy casual (we all know steve and bucky are dead last on that one LMAOOO) bc riley comes from a working class family/started working himself at a really young age and so now he likes to be super deliberate about his sense of style/presentation instead of just whatever he got handed down from neighbors or church donations etc and that was a HUGE part of accepting his sexuality + gender identity (he/they riley u will always be famous)

i also borrow some elements of like adam parrish’s backstory 🤡 in that i see riley’s parents as negligent at best and ab*sive at worst, making the wilsons his sort of pseudo-family/safe space even before he and sam get together whether that’s bc they’re childhood besties in aus or bc they accept sam’s closest comrade into their fold (i cant remember if sam lost his parents before he went into the service so don’t come for me anyone) but yeah like in non canon universes i see their story as highly similar to stevebuckys bc they’re foils duh except ig riley would be closer to comics bucky than mcu bucky w his parents

it’s weird bc i used to exclusively ship stevebucky and then samriley completely separate. since i became open to the idea of multi shipping, i now ship in a different order/way??

like for au’s i still follow the two distinctive ships, meaning if i’m writing stevebucky i’ll usually have established samriley or single sam. however if i’m writing sambucky it’s probably going to be past!samsteve and/or stevebucky as well if not just samstevebucky (the most superior of all ships) 😌 like i might mention riley being sam’s ex before he got together with steve (if i’m including him and steve as a couple and not just friends) or just gets w bucky but the focus is way less on riley’s impact on sam’s dating history than like steve if that makes sense which is just interesting to me?? it’s also a roulette wheel of whether or not i decide to throw in sammisty (my beloved) bc sometimes i like to write bi sam and other times i like to write gay sam

sidenote i see peggy and steve and nat absolutely bi, always, angie as 100% a lesbian, misty and sam as bi4bi, but for sam and bucky i could see them as either bi or gay (although i typically tend to write bucky as either just gay or at most bi-curious but always in relationships with mlm)

i feel like i write more samriley in complete au’s than in canon compliant fics which is odd haha

maybe bc in canon compliant fics, if samriley exists i see them as a monogamous partnership, but if sam is with someone else/poly i typically see it like riley d*ed bc personally i just don’t see them breaking up?? they’re like either that couple u know that’s been together since they were 14 and you never see them without each other OR they’re exactly the same but they actually got married in their early 20s. i say, having explicitly written their divorce before

also idk why but i feel like in my head w poly!sam steve and/or bucky (or misty) are cool w him having paramours and metamours and everything even if they aren’t poly themselves but riley is strictly a one man guy and has no interest in anything outside a monogamous mlm relationship. he’s also demi and a hopeless romantic!

when i write samriley + steve and bucky i see riley as being able to relate to bucky better bc i follow the general fandom hc that riley is also disabled, but he’s somewhat closer w steve bc of sam and bucky’s initial “feud” when riley was still distrustful of bucky and 100% in sam’s corner, meaning he and bucky have a similar dynamic to sam and bucky where they like to banter and antagonize one another but he and steve are more chill and friendly when they talk like he and sam are (although they aren’t above ribbing at each other and referencing embarrassing inside jokes)

Change2561 Changing Project Lineup 2024 Showcase

I've made posts about GMMTV 2023 and 2024 (pt 1 & 2) trailer reactions but I don't tend to watch other companies' trailers because 1) some shows I'm excited about might not end up happening and 2) even if it does happen... might take 2-3 years lol. We're impatient about GMMTV's output timing but at least they usually release all their shows and withint 1.5 years of the pilot trailer since they're a big enough company with a System.

Change2561 seems to fall into that category as well, since they're kind of like GMMTV's sister company as they're a subsidiary of GMM Grammy? I'm not 100% certain, it's what I've gathered from people's comments. So I think there's a high change we'll get the shows + in a timely manner. I'm excited!

Also, I'm not watching this live, so I know what the shows are + very basic premise.

not comparing it to incest, but people are allowed to be weirded out by loki’s love interest being himself as a woman… also where did you get sylvie being trans from? she was shown as a young girl (not saying that means that she can’t be trans, but marvel clearly intended her to be cis) anyway idc about owen wilson, but it’s a little silly to act like the only reason someone wouldn’t be into sylkie is because they don’t want to support a ship between 2 genderfluid bisexual people when marvel barely hinted at both of those things and clearly just wanted to play at both “representation” and having their girl/boy relationship so homophobes don’t get mad

1. they're allowed to be weirded out about it. they're ALLOWED to feel whatever way they want about it, but people are acting as if it's a moral position. if you think it's weird and uncomfortable, feel free to just not watch anymore. you can do that. it is free to do that.

2. i personally know many many trans women who were as young as Sylvie was in that flashback, OR YOUNGER, when they first knew they were girls. you can find dozens upon dozens upon dozens of examples of trans girls that young who are out the closet. nott everybody comes out as a teenager or an adult. some people DO always know.

3. idk why Marvel would specifically go out of their way to imply female variants of Loki are rare/otherwise non existent AND show Sylvie to be really and repeatedly uncomfortable being called "Loki" if not to imply that Sylvie was designated male at birth. but whatever

4. sometimes bi men and bi women date. that's fine. that's representation, even. especially when they talk about the fact that they're bi! would i love a male love interest for Loki to ALSO show up in season 2? absofuckinglutely, yes.

5. homophobes are going to be mad at the inclusion of the bisexuality line regardless. in fact, they are! all you need to do is go on Reddit or something to find loads of people angry at how it's "pandering" or whatever. to suggest that bi people don't receive biphobia when they're in ""straight"" relationships is, by the way, in itself biphobic. grow up.

6. yeah, it's for sure at least partially because it's "safer" and less "challenging" that Loki's love interest is female, even when they confirm him to be bisexual, but you can't just... project all this anger onto the fact that a bi character dates a woman. bi guys are into women! that's part of the job description. if you think it's only good bi representation when people are in same-sex relationships, then congratulations, you are in fact biphobic.

7. i'm pretty sure the director of the show is bi, so you might want to be careful about the accusations you throw around about what this bi rep was trying to accomplish

8. i didn't say the only reason people don't support Sylkie is because of blah blah blah whatever you said. i don't care about "supporting ships" because i'm not ten years old and on deviantart. i watch shows that are compelling, and sometimes there are compelling relationships in them. it's ok if you think Sylvie and Loki isn't one of them, i personally do. but don't like... project some ship drama nonsense onto this. i never said anything like that, i just said that people are predominately mad that Mobius and Loki didn't kiss/get together, and are now incorrectly claiming that they were queerbaited because they, being the fujoshis they are, wholecloth invented a romantic tension between two white guys. because that's what they do.

Don't know how people are gonna feel about this but Loki should've been dealt with the way they dealt with Lucifer (from the Netflix show) I mean while the show straight up dismissed loki's feelings, lucifer netflix really showed us the natural and organic character growth with ups and downs while still maintaining the comic hilarity (WHICH WASNT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MC). It's love interest and side characters are all original characters dealt as independent characters rather as brownie or plot points.

And the scenes that prompted me to think this?

1. Lucifer asking his Mazikeen to cut off his wings because he's moved past being a pawn in his father's 'Great Plan'. We could've had loki come to this conclusion and tell Mobius (who would've been an actual all out ally who was forced into doin lg what he did) that he no longer wanted any place in a land that hated him. (Once again like Lucifer calling the silver city hell)

2. Lucifer actually being the way he's supposed to be (angel of light, light bringer etc.) We could've had Loki act like the way he Actually Is. Not like how @iamnmbr3 so eloquently put it 'like larry the dumb lookalike'. We could've had Loki being stern yet having that air of sarcasm and wit that he had in his the films. His eloquence, his physical prowess (none of the falling flat on his face stuff, a lot of people talk about how he was trying not to hurt the people in ep 2 but srsly Loki would just immediately disarm them), and most of all his agency and refusal to cower or the pathetic attempts at lying.

3. Costumes. The lucifer netflix team had an extensive costume department that ironically pales in comparison to what disney is capable of but still we see Lucifer have a wide array of clothes and styles. Have Loki take the first chance to change his clothes. If he wants the 50s aesthetic have at it! he can wear the tuxedos and the nice leather. Or maybe change into some nice Viking-inspired leathers and battle armor. Have him as a pirate, or a knight or a cowboy. You're traveling through time good man! you can at least hit some of the cool spots.

4. In depth analysis of lucifer's mental health. the only episode of the Loki tv show I liked (loose term) is the first one cause it's the only one that gave a fraction of what we were promised: an insight into loki. That's it.

5. Lucifer's organic growth. This is self-explanatory. Loki watched one video and was good. Very good five stars. I understand that they only had six episodes but come-on. You could've had the subtle changes through out all the eps and lead to the big finish finally. With each episode focusing on certain aspects of Loki.

5. Lucifer's exploration of self-loathing. This deserves to be a separate point because Istg it was done so well. Basically lucifer messes up and he's faced with the hatred that's been conditioned into him (not unlike Loki) and then he learns what it is and actually tries to love himself. And not by kissing a female variant of himself (ew and also respect the gender fluid persons). He actually saw the good in him by reflecting and his actual good friends helping him.

6. Lucifer actually wanting to be good. Look Idc what shut mike waldron wrote, loki is not selfish when his whole arc has been doing things for asgard, thor, odin, frigga etc. We all know that New York was mind control, I do not know why it's being swept under the rug. But here's the thing, that self loathing I mentioned earlier is a huge part of Loki thinking he's some monster and intent on proving it.

7. Lucifer facing his 'devil-face'. Loki should've come to terms with his Jotun heritage. The TVA could've had a case in Jotunheim concerning the Royal Family and Loki could've seen the entirety of Jotunheim and it's people not just that most-likely war propaganda the Asgardians force-fed him. Maybe have him meet his siblings or better yet his mother. There's a very nice fic on A03 called Asgardian Galdr that deals with this beautifully.

8. Luicfer having a Breakdown and Crying: First off this happens gradually, his problems pile up etc etc. and he faces off his father and gets angry until he finally breaks down. And basically God says, "I'm sorry but i can't fix you," And Lucifer in all his grief and desperation asks, "But you're God,'. I know we talk a lot about Loki being made weak in the Show but that's specifically about him being made weak and helpless to make Sylvie seem like a stronger character (Don't get me started on the Sif and Narcissm scene istfg), But maybe seeing Loki try awkwardly to be good and near the finish of the show we see it blow up in some angsty way? only for some conversation like this to happen and have Loki understand that being good is something that is innate and something he already had the potential for all along. Maybe learn that he's not lawful good but as always the morally grey character we know him as. (Protector of misfits, god of outcasts i.e all the shit Marvel shat on) and rise as the God of Chaos and Stories against the rigid bonds of The TVA and essentially Kang.

9. Lucifer having a nice healthy romantic interest and relationship. Lucifer and Chloe's relationship is more often than not the main point of the show but no matter how much it is focused on it remains health, organic and not a weird allegory for something disgusting. Even if Sylvie weren't a Loki (once again ew) the whole dynamic was toxic. She constantly put him down, and invalidated his feelings (Sounds like Odin huh?) and guess what Loki fell in love with her after one day, one conversation of what love was and Mobius calling her his girlfriend (he also said that it was freakish and i agree). We could've had Sigyn sweet lord. (I'll make another post about this)

10. Lucifer's Sexuality. There is a whole episode in which Loki's paramours are getting murdered and they all vary from men to women to all that comes in between. And there's no shame, no offensive jokes. Have Loki flirt with dudes, i understand ms.karen that this is for children, don't worry the casual sex ;) was offscreen. Have Loki turn into a woman and flirt with woman cowards, maybe make some questionable remarks about horses (That make Sigyn laugh)

11. Lucifer's Powers: lemme sum up, Lucifer can, let's call it, use compulsion on people. He is known for his strength and prowess and abilites to grant favors. Have Loki shapeshift into animals, absolutely mauling people. Have him use his silver-tongue to coax people into making or changing history (Yes Brutus, Caesar is getting to be a bit much, say have you heard how sharp knives are?)

I'm pretty sure there's more that i can't remember rn. And here is one thing i would like to make very clear.

You are not bad for liking the show or hating it whatever. The problem is that the show framed a lot of bad things as good (Anything the TVA did, Mobius' torture session with Loki, the way Sylvie treated Loki only for them to become romantic partners, the Sylkie fiasco as it was offensive to genderfluid people and the bare fucking minimum of LGBTQ and POC rep). The show was also marketed specifically to make us think hey! Loki might actually be the main character only for it to blow up in our faces. We were also promised an actual plot rather than a constantly plot twisting concept that could've been worth something.

Also i'm still working on a Loki fic rn after which i will write a Loki(TV) Rewrite but unitil then ig.
