This scene is from the west of Ireland and soon after sunset the wind and rain lashed, every thirty minutes the conditions changed.

Still, a beautiful sunset all the same from my current and favourite part of Ireland.

Wow it's really winter, with -4 degree weather, our climate has really... Changed.

It's a shame there's not any snow in to the west yet. At least then I wouldn't need to dread walking in very low temps tomorrow morning.

Seeing people run through it,

or panic just as its about to pour

jackets hoisted over heads like shield walls

My favourite people accept it

with a frown

brave the rain through and through

people walking dogs -

splashing through puddles without a care for their shoes

I love the smell of rain,

that wraps aromatically around you

especially in the summer

after the grass has been freshly mowed

just in time for a cuppa inside to watch the shower

as it pours from the heavens
