Zeno's Paradox: ½ + ¼ + ⅛ ...
The "..." represents the rest of the infinite series. In this case, it would add up to another 0.78125%, but each element is supposed to be half of the one that came before it, so after 0.78125% comes 0.390625%, which rounds down to 0%. I want to see if it's possible to get a perfect Zeno's Paradox, half plus a quarter plus an eighth plus a sixteenth plus a thirty-second plus a sixty-fourth plus a one-hundred-twenty-eighth, and so on. This is one of those poll games like trying to make every option even, or trying to make stairs, or trying to split it 69-31. Try to make it 50-25-13-6-3-2-1-0.

Please a sneaky link with Danny?🥹 thank you 🫶🏼
okay yeah fucking with this
“You home?”
The message popped up on the screen. It’s nearly 2am, where else would you fucking be?
“No, out.” You reply.
“Okay, coming from the airport. Is the key where you left it?”
You roll your eyes, not answering his text because you knew he had a key on his bunch. If he was back in LA, that meant he was going to his place, the bunch of keys included one to your place.
Soon enough, the door unlocks and he steps in, the expensive car parked in your garage as if it was a top secret; of course it was.
You were sat in the kitchen, laptop open on the counter as you typed away.
“Thought you were out,” he says, kissing your shoulder as he passes by to get to the fridge. “Unfortunately, some of us have work and things called deadlines, ever heard of that?” You bite back, the lack of sleep and pressure from deadlines making you snappy.
Daniel smiles, coming back to rub your shoulders but not before pushing the straps of your top down. “Why are you so tense baby? You need a good fuck, hm?” His words filthy as always.
You laugh, hitting save on the file you were working on. Now that he was there, you wouldn’t be getting anything done.
“I don't know,” you lean back against him, your head pressed to his chest. Daniel’s hand comes around to hold your chin, sort of making you turn and and look at him. “Let’s go to bed, baby.” He says, leaning in to kiss you.
“Let me take care of you,” his lips ghosting over yours before finally kissing you.
Safe to say you did not make it to the bedroom, you two settling for the couch. Daniel’s got you on his lap, his hands on your hips as he guides you, setting the pace.
“Missed you,” he mumbles against your neck, leaving a little mark behind.
You’re quick to correct him; “missed the sex you mean.”
“No,” he says, his hand behind your neck to pull you down for a kiss. “Missed you.”

Super frustrated. All I want is to make tiny leaf garlands to hang behind one of my Bo dolls for the photo shoot, and NOTHING will make thread stick to these tiny leafs! Why am I insane like this?? I will make it work one way or another. I have to. Lmao (meanwhile, why am I leaking pics like this? Hahaha)

Racing home from the flea market, 21-year-old Claire McCardell, future fashion designer and leader of the "American Look," rushed into her dormitory room at Parson’s Place des Vosges campus in Paris. Pulling a crumpled wad of satin out of her bag, she grabbed her seam ripper and, very carefully, started disassembling a Madeleine Vionnet gown, determined to unlock the mysteries of couture construction before flawlessly sewing the garment back together.
....
Years later, while discussing her predilection for deconstructing couture garments, McCardell stated she was, “learning about the important things—the way clothes worked, the way they felt, where they fastened.” She would later use this couture education to create impeccably cut and constructed garments. However, her clothing wasn’t just for the uber-wealthy who could afford haute couture wardrobes—her designs would hang in the closets of everyone from suburban housewives to the fashion doyenne Diana Vreeland.
McCardell gave fashion the popover dress, the Capezio black ballet flat, and always put pockets in her dresses.

hi! saw your reblog on cecil’s post about pens! wanted to say i also have a few twsbi’s so i’m familiar with the piston filling system, however i have never run into the issue you described! when the pen is done being filled the piston/back of the pen should be all the way screwed shut, and you shouldn’t have to twist it to make more ink come out of the nib (or touch it at all actually!). could it be that you’re using a very dry ink or not filling with enough ink?
!!! confounding! Thank you for this intervention! so.. If I'm reading this right...
I should draw the ink allllll the way up until the 'screw top' is 'stopped' (which I have been doing) and then NOT fiddle with it at all again until the chamber is empty?! (which I have NOT been doing) and the ink will flow out even though there's a 'vacuum'? There will be an obvious empty ink chamber left behind as the volume drops? 🙄😳
Huh. I'm gonna try this! I will report back.
