I realized something about new Mizuki. He shares some similar appearances to Ernest and then has similar scars to Santo. All on the same side too 😭 that's so funny omg.

He also has his adopted ghost tribe baby n I have that baby Santo au where Ernest adopts baby santo who pukes out ghost 😖 no wonder the appeal was so strong for mizuki

I’ll give sum info on my 2 babies Mio and Kitaro from my IP Cat’s End! I’ll introduce more characters later (You can see all my design work for the characters on my patreon >:3)

Mio Kaneko (金子澪)

Mio is a 20 year old university student studying biology. She is a ghoul, meaning she is undead and forever trapped in the university building she died in.

She’s selfish and introverted, not really bothered about talking to new people, she has her friends and sticks with them. Anyone else is just in her way. She has violent tendencies, usually jumping to extreme conclusions as solutions. Mio is bad at school but she doesn’t care. She’s pretty straight to the point and blunt.

She likes cute things and her dream is to be an idol!

Kitaro Katō (加藤鬼太郎)

Kitaro is a 20 year old university student studying maths. He is Mio’s childhood best friend. He is alive.

Kitaro is very outgoing and friendly, he will talk to almost anyone and he’s super confident. He’s good at calming Mio down… but also very good at encouraging her. He’s very good at school, getting all A’s on his exams but he’s an airhead outside of class. He wears a lot of oversized comfy clothes. Kitaro is super clumsy and always dropping his phone so he has a cheap flip phone with a cute keychain of a fish on it! He’s always got a big grin on his face and BIG OL EYES! He has big floppy ears and he’s super fluffy!

Wasn't able to scan anything for a few days due to my scanner breaking, but now it's been resolved and I've been able to scan some Mizuki Densetsu issues!!

Since dendro stuff has (more or less) officially been released, it seems like a good time to properly introduce my genshin oc, Kitaro!

He’s a nekomata yokai from Inazuma who has lived tucked away in the mountains for quite some time. After a couple decades or so, he got bored and decided to venture back down to find a new source of entertainment. Kitaro is a trickster and a schemer that mostly makes his companions’ lives a little bit harder.

Happy Mermay everybody~

Following tradition(?), here’s a new piece of my mermaid OC Yao, finished just under the wire!! And poor Rei is getting bitten all to hell. I just keep making him suffer don’t I??? I’ll have to draw a fluffy piece for these two next time ^^;;;

Anyhoo, I mentioned last year that I wanted to draw Yao in a more ‘ugly’ state per the usual youkai transformation fare - which brings me nicely to one of my little headcanons...

Regarding mermaids, I like the idea of them changing their biological sex under certain conditions like some breeds of fish do in real life. I’ve seen the notion brought up in various contexts and always thought it a very interesting thing.

In the case of Yao in the GGGnK universe, I personally headcanon the Han-Gyojin as the male version of a mermaid! For starters, the way Yao transforms herself to have human legs rather than her usual fish tail would be a form of Deep Sea Witchcraft (aka youjitsu, dark arts) the Han-Gyoujin uses to transform Kitaro in episode 58. Yao can use this as a way to fight as well, making her body stronger... but if prolonged it goes out of control. Irrationality and aggression take hold as the sense of self is lost. The body changes further and further, until one is no longer a mermaid, but a Han-Gyojin... ...I have way more I’d like to discuss on this topic, but I don’t want this post getting to lengthy so I’ll leave it at that for now! Nickname: Enra, Smoke yokai, Smoke demon

Age: 3000+

Main Ability: Creating mini enra, a smoke monster that often came out of her kiseru, manipulating smoke, travel via smoke from burning object.

Bio:

A yokai that often appeared as a smoke. She is a nice girl but she has a pretty sharp tongue, which makes some yokai hate her because they think that she is mean, but in reality she just giving a very constructive yet insulting critics and advices.

Like smoker and their cigar, she never get seperated with her kiseru, but she seems fine smoking with it because she made out of smoke, even her true form is a smoke. She can even made a mini enra (which can turned into Gigachad Enra when angry) from it and usually hide it inside her kimono sleeves

theo knew that with every piece of his cracked heart. he could be the boy he wanted, a lover that danced to slow songs with him in the kitchen someone who laughed in the wind, midnight in his hair while they chase adrenaline on the highways, someone to smile adoringly at him in passing moments.

but in truth kita was no more than a body he'd pasted his fantasies onto, another person who wanted something from him, but oh, kita made that feel so special, made him feel wanted instead of used.
