So, he's learning how to love you while also just learning how to love in general.

Meaning he's not scared to ask you how he can do better.
Also meaning he's not quick to share his emotions. He doesn't want to inconvinence you with them.

It may take some time and coaxing, but once he knows how he fells (Cause lets be real here, hes not the most emotionally intelligent) he'll try his best to explain to you.

It's a big deal for him that you and Megumi at least get along. As far as he's concerned, Megumi is his son and his son has to come first.

OK, first things first, his favorite thing is to show you new music.
Not too long after you had stated dating, he promised you he as going to show you all the good music the world had to offer and he ment it.
Honestly he surprised you with his range. anything from Heavy Metal, to Folk Punk, to R&B to Pop, to fucking country, if he could vibe with it, it hit his playlist.
All about words of affection. He's constantly telling you how beautiful you are, how smart you are, how powerful of a sorcerer you are, he won't shut up about how amazing you are.
Not typically one for PDA, unless he thinks someone else is hitting on you.
Then it's like he's been suddenly glued to you.
He's very much the silent jealous type. He'll never straight up ask you "So who the fuck was that?" He's more prone to passive aggressive comments.
"I'm just saying, you two seem really close." type shit.
He covers you in very visible hickys and is very quick to "lend" you his jacket for this reason. He want's to make it very clear that you're his.
His ideal date is an underground concert. He always knows where the best ones are.
The energy of a concert is intoxicating to him, and the effect is doubled when you're around.
It's one of the few places where he'll actively take part in PDA without having to be jealous first.
He's normally pretty Stoic. He jokes around yea, but he's never vunerable in public.
The only place you see his walls come down is when you're alone together.
It's a visible change too, you can see the tired flood his eyes as he collapses in your arms.
You were the first person to notice when he started to grow cold to Jujutsu Society, and the last to know when his betrayl finally took place.
As much as it made you sick to your stomach to admit, you weren't surprised at all. a darkness had been growing in him for a long time.
He spoke all the time about how unfairly society treated sorcerers, and he spoke with such passion, you often found yourself almost convinced by it.
Almost. you we're always able to bring yourself back to reality one way or another.
That was until he came back for you.
He was just as sweet as he always was, pouring affection over you.
how he tried so hard to move on, but he couldn't rebuild without you. No matter what he did, his soul called out for you.

The Hierophant
Ok, so hear me out. I actually think Nanami has had a few relationships before.
They all ended amicably, He didn't have the time for petty mind games as a teenager, he damn sure didn't have the time for them as adult.
So, he has quite a bit of experience in making things work.
He's AMAZING at communication. He's clear, consice, and careful with his words.
Often times he's able to deesculate a fight before it even becomes one.
And if you're one of those people that will start a fight because you need drama (*cough* me. *cough*) he's quick to notice and shut it down.
"Are you really mad that I lost the remote, or is something else going on Darling? If you're mad that's ok, but I feel like theres a diffrent underlying issue here."
He loves cuddling. Its shocking and strange, I know, but he is touch starved.
Also, he loves kissing. It's one of his favorite things to do, espically with you.
His favorite dates are when he takes you to a facny resteraunt for dinner.
He loves watching you get all dolled up, and he'd be lying if he said it wasn't a nice little ego boost to walk in with you on his arm.
Not even just that, he loves taking care of you in anyway he can. So feeding you the finest foods? Top of his To-Do list every day.
While he loves to take you out, He loves staying home with you just as much.
Nanami is insanely good at Tekken, like God-Teir, this is not up for debate.
Really, he's good at all fighting games, but his favorite is Tekken.
And he loves to play with his SO. you're not that good at video games? He's willing to teach you if you're willing to learn.
One of his favorite date night activities is having you be on mic while he plays some online matches. It's hilarious to watch his opponent get a big head, 100000% sure theyre going to own this soft spoken ninny just to get absolutely BODIED by Nanami.
He tries to make it through movie nights. He tries so hard. but he passes out, every. single. time.
even if he really likes the movie! He just can't bring himself to stay awake.
He'll always try for you though. He would do anything for you.
Ryomen Sukuna

Listen to me reader, LISTEN TO ME: you may see his charming smile and his oddly puppy-dog like eyes and think "OH, come on! how bad could this guy be? He's so cute!"

I am Sukunas number 1 cumslut and I can tell you from personal experience he is The Worst™.
For one, he's cold as fuck. Even if he is head over heels in love with you, he's too emotionally closed off to ever fucking admit it.
His heart could be doing acrobatics in his chest when you're around, his palms sweating like crazy and his sight suddenly switching to Shojo vision when he's looking at you and he would STILL have you convinced he hated your guts.
Hell, he'd honestly be even meanier to you just so no one suspects his true feelings.
But, once again, you are inevitable and there's no escaping you.
But dont start thinking you're going to get a date or even a talk. Nay nay dear reader.
He just kinda decided at somepoint that you we're dating now. You had no say in it, and didn't even know until he caught you flirting with someone that wasn't him and almost ripped their fuckin head off.
Yandere. I will not explain, nor do I need to. Look at him.
He's hiding you away in his temple and never letting you go.
Which, could be worse. That temple is decadent as FUCK
If you do manage to endure him long enough though, I do think he'd let his soft side slip.
Sukunas love is quiet. It's not showering you in gifts or words of affermation. He's honestly not sure how to do that.
It's quietly holding you in the night, pulling you just a little bit tighter when the nightmares start to make you stir.
It's letting you quietly lay on his chest, tracing his markings, letting you get close enough to his heart and neck to kill him.
It's sitting with you while you read in the garden, secretly reading over your shoulder incase you wanted to talk about it later.
Sukunas love isn't shown in grand gestures, it's shown in his lack of violence. it him quitely, without either of you even realizing, letting his walls down around you.
He's never going to talk about his emotions, ew gross. That would make him weak.
What he would do is pull you into a bath with him, or into the bed, or somewhere else safe and comfrotble, and ask you to talk about your day.
Listening to your voice calms him down, and you know you've helped because when youre done talking about whatever, he quietly thanks you.
He has killed to "protect" you, and would die to atually protect you.
Once you've wormed your way into his heart, theres no leaving. he's obessed and even if you manage to get away one day, he's never getting over you.

Time to show off some doodles of one of my OCs after binging as much batman series as I could, including BTAS, The Batman 2004, Brave and the Bold, the movies, etc. I fell in love with the Gotham Rogues all over again.
I've already made a few OCs, but to start, this one is Mavis. She is a harpy who imprinted on Penguin at birth and considers him her father. He kept her to be, at first, just as another loyal, powerful pet, but soon came to see her like a daughter to him too. Thus, a bird family in crime.
Last pic was my first ever sketches of chick Mavis and Penguin. You could tell I was still trying to figure out how to draw pengie haha!

Note #5 - "Any news of strange phenomena that could be connected to the child's existence came up short. None of my connections had any clue of where she could have came from. The only hypothesis I could come up with is, admittedly outlandish, but not completely out of the question (Im not blind to some of the inhuman things that happen in this city). I refer to beings called 'harpies' from the mythologies. Stories of bird-like women who lead men of all kinds to their deaths, or who torture the damned souls in the underworld. All utter nonsense, but everytime I look at the child, I cant help but think there is something otherworldly about her."

• Typical features as like that of a bird of prey, keen eyesight 10× more than humans, Flying in silence, Can see in the dark, Heightened hearing. etc
• Strong, sharp, powerful talons for feet that can be used not only for attack, but for stealth capturing people (sometimes it's how she carries Penguin in means of escape).
• She is also efficient in knife combat and close quarter combat (for when shes in a finite space too small to fly around in), Knows how to use a gun, but rarely ever uses or carries one.
History: Oswald found her as an egg under mysterious circumstances, not knowing how she even got here or where she came from. Because she imprinted on him already, he decided to raise her and form her into another, stronger one of his loyal pet birds. However, as much as he tried keeping her under the conditions of a pet, Mavis still ended up seeing him as her father. And eventually Oswald, who denied for the longest, felt the same way as well.
Notes/Quirks: Mavis struggles a bit with human speech due to Harpies having different vocal chords than humans, so she was mute along with saying simple sentences for a good half of her life; she is very intelligent however and understands human language, can read and write very well, excels in math and business skills, just takes time talking./ She molts once a year and lasts over 2-3 weeks; it's very itchy and irritating and makes her grumpy the whole time./ She is a carnivorous bird and her favorite to eat is liver.

OCTOBER AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: MISSGRYFFIN
Q: Where can we find you and your stories?
A: @missgryffin, AO3
Q: How would you describe your writing style?
A: Intense, sexy, snappy, and fast-paced. I have a rampant imagination and love a good sexual tension build-up, so my fics usually include a lot of plot, drama, and (of course) smut.
Q: How do you come up with ideas for your writing?
A: It’s such a grab-bag. A pretty substantial number of my fics have originated from prompts, actually! I also draw a lot on TV shows/movies I’ve seen, novels I’ve read, tropes I see that I’m inspired to try, etc. Also, I find that a lot of my ideas actually form while I’m writing. I’ll go in with a sense of direction, but it’s not until I’m writing and really in the thick of it that the details take shape, and then new ideas begin to spout off from there, based on what I learn about what the characters and story need.
Q: When and why did you begin writing fanfiction?
A: Technically, during the two-year wait between the releases of books 5 and 6, because I was utterly HP obsessed, my imagination was in overdrive thinking about what could happen in the final two books, and I had discovered MuggleNet fanfiction / FFN by that point, so I’d been devouring all of that early era of HP fanfic. I actually have a giant binder of my own fanfic writing from that period; I would type up stories in Word, format them with fun fonts and fan art covers I found online, and print them out for myself. (Which, I still do this!) Fun fact: there’s even a Marauders story in there that I had completely forgotten about that has a striking resemblance to the bones of Eternal Summer. It genuinely freaked me out a little when I found it, ha!
But even though I wrote creatively through most of my childhood/school phases of life, I had taken a pretty substantial break in early adulthood and didn’t “return” to writing until the pandemic in 2020. Life was bizarre, Netflix had gotten boring, and I was craving a creative outlet or hobby that could make lockdown bearable. I randomly stumbled my way back to fanfic / fandom, and here we are!
Q: What’s one thing you’d tell someone who is considering reading one of your fics?
A: Buckle up! 🎢 Also, I hope you are either i) at home, or ii) have a really great NSFW poker face 😅 But to give a more serious answer, I’d say that I write a wide range of tones, and I really lean in to what that tone is. If a fic is tagged for fluff and crack, it will be so adorably sweet and cringe-funny that your face will hurt from smiling. If a fic is tagged for angst and darker themes, it will feel like a knife to the gut. (If it’s tagged for all of the above—cough Eternal Summer cough—you’re at the front of a line for a wild rollercoaster, my friend!) Since I write both extremes, I’m never offended when readers skip fics or prefer one “genre” to another. But please know that Jily is always endgame in all of my stories—that’s the whole reason why we’re here 💗
Q: What are some of your favorite Jily tropes?
A: Enemies to lovers is my #1, even if it’s more of that “enemies-ish” rivalry at the beginning. There’s just nothing more quintessentially Jily to me than the process of them discovering more layers to the other person and slowly realizing that the other person is so much more than the antagonist they’d built up in their head. (And that they -gasp- actually…like them! Worse, they like them like them! A lot!) Gets me every time.
Other favorites include There Was Only One Bed, Hurt/Comfort, and Forced Proximity/Stuck/Trapped.
Q: What do you like most about the Jily fandom?
A: That we celebrate how much of a power couple Jily is. I’m going to quote @jilyss’ answer for this because it’s so true: we understand James has an arrogant streak but grew up, we celebrate Lily for the intelligent, strong, cool, bamf woman she is, and we appreciate how they’re true, complementary equals finding real, raw love with one another. (And also all the wonderful reader and fellow-writer friends I’ve made! 😘)
Q: Pick a favourite Marauders era character.
A: My man JP. From only the few hints we get about him in the books, we know he’s such a dynamic person, and I really love bringing him to life. Also, his growth/redemption story deserved more air-time, so I’m glad fanfic is here to fill that gap.
Q: Self-promo time! List the fics that you are most proud of writing.
A:
Eternal Summer – My first born! Even though it’s far from being finished and needs a lot of work, I’m really proud of the world-building I’ve done thus far.
Vindicated – This was thrilling for me to write because it’s a total departure from what I’d previously written: second chances, canon-divergent AU, American settings, original characters, more adult relationship, etc. I have more planned for this universe and I’m really excited for it.
for the hope of it all – My latest completed fic. I challenged myself to write a softer, friends-to-lovers, mutually pining kind of summer fic, and this came together in a flood. But what makes me proud is that with this fic, I could really see how much my writing has evolved and improved from those early ES days.
Q: Fic rec time! Could you recommend a few of your favourite Jily fics?
A:
Of Chrysalism by @maraudersftw – It’s only a short one-shot, but the way this fic haunts me!! Exquisite.
The Wedding Ring by @mppmaraudergirl – Lauren is the Nancy Meyers of Jily, and this fic is the epitome of that. A total comfort fic for me; I want it to be a movie that I can play in my living room over and over again until I know it by heart.
Eighteen Again by @scriibble-fics – If I didn’t know scriibble was getting her PhD in History, I’d think she was a screenwriter. The world-building in this fic is like no other—I’m in a constant state of chills when I read it. The emotional depth, the heartbreak, the romance, the political intrigue…it’s one of those fics that never leaves you.

3. Three films you could watch for the rest of your life and not get bored of?
Casablanca (1942)
This is one of those movies that was so foundational to subsequent cinema that sometimes people find it a bit trite, but I was lucky enough the first time I saw it to watch it on 35 MM at the Prince Charles Cinema and I think that made all the difference. I’m a sucker for Louis and Rick’s relationship, and I’m also a crazy person with a crush on Claude Rains, so I can watch it again and again for those aspects alone.
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)
My absolute favorite Wes Anderson film, it’s funny and dark and disturbing and, in the end, so incredibly touching. I think part of what makes it his best movie, at least for me, is that it has more emotional range and depth than any of the others. I always feel like I find something new every time I watch it, and it’s permanently downloaded to my laptop as my comfort movie for long flights.
8 1/2 (1963)
The first Fellini film I ever saw and still probably my favorite, it’s just pure magic. And I know that it wasn’t nearly as much of a critical success (and frankly it’s not anywhere near as magnificent as 8 1/2), but I also quite like its corollary film, City of Women (1981). Fellini and Mastroianni together is unbeatable.
11. What do you consider to be romance?
When I think about the epitome of romance, I feel like the thing that comes to mind for me is the letters Vladimir Nabokov wrote to his wife, Vera. I’ve read them in Russian and English translation and they’re simply…everything. I guess what stands out to me most as ‘romance’ is how she permeates everything for him and the unique depth of understanding between them. It’s one of the more benign passages, but I feel like this one sentence from a 1937 letter really encapsulates the way a great love/romance can elevate even the most quotidian experiences.
“It's cold today, but in a spring way, and I love you.”
My weird addendum to this is a series of 18th ct letters between two Whig political figures, Hardwicke and Newcastle, that I’ve had to work with for professional reasons and which I think exemplify the romance of friendship. Like I’ve probably wasted a day or two at the British Library looking through correspondence of theirs that has nothing to do with what I need because their letters are just such a pleasure to read. The line that always sticks most firmly in my mind is Newcastle to Hardwicke, trying to comfort him in the wake of the death of his wife, whom both men deeply admired and loved:
“I am, if possible, more than ever yours.”
18. Do you believe in ghosts and/or aliens?
Not really. Maybe aliens in the scientific sense that there’s a possibility of other intelligent life in this universe, but honestly that scares me way more than it excites me. It sounds weird to say, but I really don’t enjoy space/anything related to it. Something about the vast emptiness, lack of breathable air, etc. makes me inherently panicky.

I originally named her "Moonlight" (bcs she was very moonthemed), and eventually gave her the nickname "Lilly". During a multitude of character revisions (all within like 2 years of making her), I dropped her original full name, as well as one the L's.
Her current full name, "Lilium", comes from the Elfen Lied OP |D

She's 20/21 ish~ Her birthday is on June 29th, but I keep her age pretty static rn.

Once when she was twelve, a friend mentioned that she taught there was a monster in the corn fields. Lily, 0 fear and Super Interested in monsters, went in to look for it.
And she found it!
And though she doesnt remember much of it afterwards, she holds it as her bestest memory.
✂️ What is one of your OC's worst memories?
She has 0 control over her Shadow Powers and during a particularly dark night (new moon), she got stuck in an intangible shadow person form. Unable to be heard or seen by anyone else, it was the most isolated she had ever felt in her life. It is probably the one and only time she had a panic attack.

HAHAHAHAHAH n o.
I change Lily's design like a girl changes clothes. I barely ever drew her the same to begin with, and overal she's gone through a few major redesigns, and plenty of smaller ones.
Little timeline! not every stage is represented, but it the major redesigns at least!
🍀 What originally inspired the OC?
Believe it or not; a dream.
It was a weird ass dream not at all related to Sonic but it featured a sort of moon spirit and my brain was just "I like her" and tried bringing her to the waking world with limited success.

The Best Years: Day 10
Pairing: Mingyu x female reader
Genre: more fluff , cute date like things
Warnings: none
You’d never been nervous for a date before in your life… until now. After a little over a week of talking to Mingyu, whether it be through text or actual talking on the phone, you found yourself getting ready to go on an actual date.
He wouldn’t tell you where you were going, just that you should dress to walk but also comfy. You settled on a pair of comfy jeans with a cute cropped sweater and your favorite sneakers, cute but casual.
You really liked Mingyu. He was the first person you’d met whose intelligence matched if not rivaled his beauty. You could tell from the conversations you’d had that he was a weird guy, but in a good way. He was also very much a thinker. You’d had multiple existential late night talks while you worked on your computers from your respective apartments.
Your doorbell rang at seven thirty on the dot. You peered out of the peep hold of your door to see Mingyu standing there with a small bouquet of your favorite flowers. He was dressed in all black, including the black denim jacket that was thrown over his shoulder. Everything on its own would be considered simple and yet this man looked like he’d just stepped off a runway.
“Hey there handsome,” you grinned as you opened the door.
You thought you almost saw him blush a little at your compliment, something you wouldn’t expect from a guy like him.
“Hello to you too,” he smiled, presenting the flowers to you, “these are for you.”
You took them with a smile, motioning for him to come inside.
“I’m just gonna put these in something before we head out,” you called as you walked towards your kitchen, “do you want anything to drink?”
You peeked your head around the corner to see him observing your apartment, specifically the bookshelf next to your TV which housed not only your current tiny library but also your vinyl collection.
“I’m good, thanks though,” he said with a smile before thumbing lightly through your vinyl, “you have good taste in music too I see.”
“It’s a little all over the place,” you laugh as you bring out the flowers, setting them on your coffee table.
“I know,” he said with a soft smile, “you’ve got a little of everything. Which in my book is good taste.”
Now it was your turn to blush a bit.
“So, where is this mystery place you’re taking me to?” you asked, slipping on your sneaker and ushering him out the door
“How do you feel about parks and movies?” he asked as you locked your door.
“Parks are a great place to hide bodies and movies are a great way to avoid talking to people.” you say with a little too much pep.
“Wait, what??” he chuckled, his head tilting in slight confusion.
“I’m kidding,” you laughed, “parks and movies are great together.”
He shook his head and let out a melodic laugh, one of most beautiful that you’d heard in a long time.
“You say some weird shit sometimes, you know that?”
“You’ll get used to it soon enough, the wind shifts and the animals start to act funny,” you winked.
When you got to the car Mingyu explained that one of the park districts not far from you had a large screen set up and was showing Dirty Dancing once the sun went down. He had come fully prepared having packed up the car with a few blankets, pillows and a bottle of wine.
You spent your night on the hill drinking wine and talking about everything and nothing, barely paying attention to the movie. You spent a long time on music and books, two things that you had a huge passion for.
You two were so enthralled in each other that you hadn’t even noticed the movie had ended.
“Well, we should probably get going,” Mingyu said slowly sitting up, clearly contemplating his next move.
“Probably,” you agreed, “but first,”
You had never been one to take the reins when it came to relationships, but now seemed like a great time to start. You leaned into Mingyu, your hand resting on his shoulders and captured his lips with yours.
To say they felt like heaven was an understatement, it was better than that. As he kissed you back it felt like everything fit perfectly.
You pulled back to see he still had his eyes closed a little, his face was a mix of perplexed and utterly happy.
“Well?” you asked shyly.
“One more time and I’ll have an answer for you,” he grinned before closing the distance between the two of you.

Who should be the villain of Spider-Man 4?
Following the Watts Spider-Man trilogy, Peter Parker in the MCU has faced a number of his most iconic villains. From the villains of the Raimi-verse to Mysterio and Vulture, it seems like there are few villains left for a reported 6 more movies.
What's worse, villains like Venom, Kraven, and Carnage are being taken up by Sony Picture Universe of Marvel Characters (or SPUMC) with mediocre to bad films like Madame Web or Morbius.
While there is potential for new and fresh versions of Doc Ock, Green Goblin, and more to be put into the MCU, and I think they absolutely should, before we go there I think there are a number of solid to great Spider-Man villains who have not made their film debut who can add something new to these films.
I've put together a list of five I think could make solid contenders for Spider-Man 4, a few potential film ideas for each, and some casting ideas, all leading up to my favorite.
5. Swarm
Starting off with the least likely and my least favorite, Swarm was a Nazi Scientist and Beekeeper turned literal swarm of Bees. Due to his form, he can become intangible, fly, possesses super strength, and is the stuff of nightmares.
Due to his Nazi background, this character would need a complete retooling. Perhaps a scientist looking to cure death, or an Oscorp accident turning a good man into a monster.
If we wanted a more horror based superhero movie, this would be the way to go. This character has the potential to be very scary. Think Candy Man but a scientist hunting Spider-Man, perhaps for a cure or for getting in his way.
I'd love a Keith David, someone with a booming voice, scary, but can play sympathetic. Imagine the cat from Coraline or the Voodoo Man hunting Spider-Man, or desperately seeking a cure for his condition, killing anyone in his way.
I think characters like this have been done in the Raimi movies in particular, but could feel fresh in the MCU. Again though, it's a bit controversial being a former Nazi, and the retooling of the character may not be worth it if we're just scratching the surface of good villains.
4. The Prowler
This one is extremely obvious but worth a mention.
The only character already in the MCU, he has been casted extremely well AND has only grown in popularity. Putting him in as Spideys new big bad would not only ground the movie with a very human villain, but set up the story for Miles Morales.
Prowler can take the place of the physical villain of the film similar to Winter Soldier. His strings can be held by Kingpin, Hammerhead, Norman Osborn, Silvermane, or Tombstone, using him as a weapon against their enemies, including Spider-Man.
My main argument against this is simple, it isn't the right time. If we are doing Aaron Davis, we need to do Miles. I think that's better for the 5th or even 6th movie, but not yet. Let Peter have more years under his belt as Spidey before he teaches another.
He'd be a strong pick for a 5th movie, or even maybe a secondary villain in a 4th movie, but not a good main antagonist.
3. The Beetle
Abe Jenkins or Leila Davis have both donned the name The Beetle, an armored villain usually after money and fame. However, this character has a lot of range.
Sometimes they're a heroic member of the Thunderbolts, sometimes they're a petty villain, a genius, daughter of mob boss Tombstone, and sometimes even in a wildly different armor. There are a lot of ways to go with this villain.
Due to the flexibility of the character, we really can use them anyway imaginable. He could be a failed Stark employee (again), a genius prodigy like Peter, an antihero who kills, a terminator like threat, or anything in between.
I think having Spidey face an Iron Man of his own could be a good way to show his more intelligent side, and make Peter deal with the loss of Tony yet again.
Again the range give us quite a few ideas for actors. I'd really like someone who can do desperation and scary but intelligent. Jason Clarke I don't think gets enough love.
If we went with a younger actress and the daughter of Tombstone, I'm a big fan of Logan Browning. I think she'd make a great antivillain turned hero in the MCU, and be part of Spider-Mans new crew. Maybe help him engineer new (although be it not Tony Stark levels) of tech.
I think this villain has the potential to be brought up to Vulture or Mysterio status, they're just not my favorite as far as fresh and interesting.
2. The Jackal
This may be controversial but I'll die on this hill.
Miles Warren is a geneticist who has gone mad due to the loss of Gwen Stacy. He blames Spider-Man and swears revenge, turning himself into the monstrous Jackal.
The Jackal would be an excellent villain to introduce into the MCU and a Spider-Man movie so we can get a version of the worst comic book storylines: The Clone Saga.
Now before you think that is a terrible idea, remember that we just got a great Spider-Man movie based around a version of One More Day. So hear me out.
Having the Jackal create a Spider-Man for Peter to fight would be inherently interesting. Imagine a chase scene where two Spider-Men (both Tom Holland) are chasing each other swinging around New York. It could be as iconic as Zod and Superman in Man of Steel.
Adding the Jackal also means adding Ben Reilly into the MCU, a fun new addition which lets us see Hollands range. Who doesn't want to see edgy Tom?
The Jackal would also be very reminiscent of The Green Goblin while being something fresh and new. He can be scary and creepy, all while being a physical match for both Peter and Ben Reilly. We can get someone Dafoe type to ham it up and give us an iconic weird performance.
My pick would be Bryan Cranston. Forget Lex Luthor, let's let him ham it up and go nuts as a hairy Grinch style villain.
My only concern would be the backlash for even considering it from comic book fans. But, I think if done well, all will be forgiven.
1. Mr Negative
Anyone who has played PS4 Spider-Man and read my blogs knew where I was going.
Having Martin Li as the central antagonist would be a perfect balance for Spider-Man. He is superpowered, making him an equivalent to Spidey. He has the potential to be a mentor turned villain, like all great Spider-Man villains.
Li also is the perfect linchpin to crime villains in the Marvel Universe. He could create a Superpowered gang war against other villains like Kingpin, Silvermane, or Tombstone, putting Spider-Man in the center of something very grounded and dangerous.
Create a mob style movie with Spider-Man unable to fathom how deep crime in NY goes could be the refreshing story the MCU needs. It could add interesting Marvel characters like Daredevil, Black Cat, Punisher, Kingpin, Hammerhead, and more.
And it would all be centered around a character Spider-Man fans currently love. It's absolutely perfect.
I don't have a cast for this, as it would need to be a very gifted martial artist and seemingly good guy turned evil. But I think Marvel can nail casting.
All in all, Li would be the perfect villain for Spider-Man 4. Someone powerful enough to be a threat, fresh enough to be fun, and grounded enough to tell a very different interesting Spider-Man story.

Alright. I’m late but here’s my backlog report for January. How did my first month of 2024 go in terms of games?
In a word, rather well.
Trails from Zero:
The first game of the new year that I beat. Would you believe me if I said this whole thing only took me about a week of concentrated play to beat?
Anyways, it’s probably the most solid title in the Trails series so far. As I’ve said before my journey into Trails was a bit screwy, due to only having a Switch and a standard laptop. It was surprising to find that a lot of the good that the series accumulated was actually added in this entry specifically, from attacking enemies on-screen, to bonus experience, to being able to use combo attacks a la Chrono Trigger.
Also, music good.
Star Ocean Second Story R:
I’m a sucker for anything that can blend science fiction and fantasy, which means that this was almost as good as drugs.
The only two negative things I can say about it is that 1.) the music wasn’t really bad, but not what I’d call my favorite, and 2.) I wish that characters had more interaction in Private Actions. I like the Private Action events, but I wish more involved more than the protag and the character in question.
My complaints with First Departure, mainly that the combat felt very barebones and there was no fast travel, have been destroyed here with extreme prejudice. The breaks and sidesteps are fun additions that don’t break the game, and the fast travel system not only gives you easy access, but also notes when and where events are available, so no more cursing yourself for not having the exact timing to recruit a character.
Gunvolt Chronicles 2:
If you liked Mega Man Zero/ZX, chances are you will like or do like this series. I myself have been a fan since the 3DS days.
Unfortunately, while I did enjoy my time with this, I was a little bit disappointed.
In terms of gameplay, Copen no longer feels like Copen. The high-speed human pinball has been grounded and his range has been shortened. While he gets his wings back once the kudos reach a certain threshold, this means that I was constantly cursing my muscle memory, having to remind myself that I only had one air dash and the attack button was no longer a straight shot but a melee saw.
In terms of story, while I like a few of the ideas and the new character of Null, I found it hard to truly get invested. None of Gunvolt Chronicles 1’s supporting cast is present aside from Kohaku, and we frankly don’t spend enough time with Null or Ypsilon for them to be compelling. Also ‘character falls into portal because reasons!’ is a trope I hate. They explain it eventually, but it’s just the perfect encapsulation of how break-neck fast this story moves. Prologue movie where characters get isekai’d, short two-sentence long introduction to Null, and Bam! Months long time-skip.
I feel like Inti-creates and I just have different opinions on the Gunvolt series’ identity, but that’s a discussion for an entirely separate time. I make these reports to have fun, not to vent.
Final Fantasy IV (DS version):
Would you believe me if I said this one took half the month?
Anyways, I first encountered this game on the Wii’s Virtual Console shop, back in the good old days of owning your own retro software. Being a kid of average intelligence, it completely escaped me that you could save on the overworld, which meant that despite trying to get into it a few times, FFIV was the first game to be booted when I needed memory space.
A few years back I finally got my hands on a copy of the DS remake with 3D models and voice acting by the likes of Yuri Lowenthal. And it rocked.
I think the augment system is undercooked, but that is the only complaint I can think of, because the music, the story, and the gameplay are all great! Let me put it to you this way: FFIV’s active time battle system was so good that they used it for five more games straight, and borrowed from it heavily for 12.
I know that the Crystal Remasters have come out and gained notoriety, but I still prefer this version because of the solid voice cast, fun art direction, and balanced yet challenging difficulty.

Top 5 designs from your formative years that defined your tastes
Bearing in mind that my formative years include a range that spans from "the moment I was old enough to understand concepts more complex than hunger and crying" to "the moment I started writing this post" and that a lot of designs have influenced my tastes over the years, here you go:
Goku and Vegeta, Dragon Ball Z
As a Latino I am quite literally obligated by law to put Goku and Vegeta on this list, but I was also huge into Dragon Ball Z as a kid and I actually think that show is what awakened the love of martial arts within me that still persists today. Toriyama's aesthetic is incredibly distinctive and had a great deal of influence over my initial forays into art and character design when I was much younger. These guys end up at #1 because DBZ has done so, so much to build my perception of combat and fight scenes and scale and and just sort of how a series should work that, like... I can't imagine myself getting into anime at all if I hadn't watched this show. Given how much of my taste is drawn from anime (although there's quite a bit coming from western media as well), my personal preferences would've taken a much different trajectory in that scenario.
Jotaro Kujo, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
I don't think any character has influenced my tastes in the modern era more than Jotaro, to be honest. He's one of the reasons many of my characters wear a hat/long coat combo and why the men in particular tend to be tall, buff, and stoic and have deep voices. He also influenced my appreciation of cool poses and characters that just beat the shit out of people with their mighty fists, as well as intelligent and analytical heroes at a time when I was used to seeing heroes just be stronger or grittier or more determined than their foes.
Samus Aran, Metroid/Super Smash Bros.
I'm pretty sure that Zero Suit Samus was the start of my irresistible desire for tall badass blonde ladies with big boobs. I have a type because of her. Let's just leave it at that.
Charizard, Pokemon
I think dragons are super cool and Charizard is a big part of why. Kid me loved Pokemon, a love which extended into adulthood, and Charizard was my favorite for a very long time. I'm pretty sure he's also where my fascination with fire powers came from. Also, the narratives around Ash's Charizard's fights in the anime did a lot to shape my perception of storytelling in combat.
The Good Hunter, Bloodborne
The other reason a lot of my characters have hats and long coats and are very gruff and stoic. Bloodborne is arguably my favorite game I've ever played and had a huge influence on my tastes and aesthetic. I particularly loved the Gothic Horror aspects of it (never been as big on Cosmic Horror tbh) and it really reignited my love for big brutal weapons that just fuck enemies up. It's also the reason the ocean is fucked up and awful in many of my original settings.
Honorable Mentions:
So fucking many not gonna lie but I'll just list a few. Funnily enough, a lot of my western influences actually come from books more so than TV/movies.
Jackie Chan - DBZ started my love for martial arts, but watching a bunch of Jackie Chan movies when I was younger grounded that aspect of my taste in something a bit more realistic than aliens who could fly throwing around energy blasts and leveling mountain ranges.
Godzilla - This is how I learned I love watching giant monsters fight. Monsterverse Godzilla has had a lot of influence on my tastes recently because I love the way he fights and the way the people making the Monsterverse movies drew from real fights between animals to build his fighting style.
I had a huge crush on Cynthia Pokemon as a kid but I had to pick between her and Samus and Samus won by virtue of timing.
Brutaka from Bionicle is cool as shit.
Yang Xiao Long from RWBY and Nearl from Arknights did not build my tastes so much as reinforce them. Hard.
Arknights in general has been one of the big influences on my original work not gonna lie.
MCU's Iron Man, Halo's Master Chief, and the Marines from StarCraft all helped codify my ideas of what powered armor should look like.
Esdeath from Akame ga Kill heavily reinforced my desire to be femdommed despite most of the rest of that series being steaming dogshit
King Arthur - I read so voraciously and from such an early age that my family couldn't keep age-appropriate books stocked faster than I could read them, so at some point my dad said "fuck it" and handed a collection of Arthurian Cycle stories written for adults to an eight-year-old and I have loved chivalric romance and knights in shining armor ever since.
There's so much more but I don't think I can possibly list them all

Rogue Subclasses in One D&D
A recent playtest document for One D&D featured changes and updates to the Rogue class, including one subclass for the full playtest experience. It got me thinking about what other subclasses we could see in the “One D&D Player’s Handbook,” as Jeremy Crawford Has revealed that the plan is to have 4 subclasses for each of the 12 base classes. So far, I’ve shared my thoughts on the Bard, Cleric and Ranger subclasses.
As with my previous thoughts, I think the main subclasses we will first see in One D&D will strive to offer different playstyles for each class.
Let’s take a look at the Rogue class. So far in fifth edition, there were 3 subclasses in the Player’s Handbook (PHB), 4 subclasses in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything (XGE), and 2 subclasses in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything (TCE). In the Expert playtest document, the Thief subclass was given as the first of the four.
After looking through the list (and some hard thinking), I think we will see the Arcane Trickster archetype from the PHB and the Mastermind and Swashbuckler archetypes from XGE. Below the line, I’ll share why I would pick those three over many other solid options.
Arcane Trickster
With a little touch of magic to spice it up, the Arcane Trickster uses enchantment and illusion to undertake their shenanigans. Mathilda uses her powers to play tricks on the adults in her life who mistreat her. Fred and George Weasley take magical pranking to whole new heights. And Loki is all about that little bit (or a lot) of mischief.
Like the Eldritch Knight for the Fighter, the Arcane Trickster plays an important role in providing a magic-based subclass option for a typically non-magical class, without multiclassing. Because of this, the Arcane Trickster is often highly ranked and is widely played. While there are many great rogue options, the Arcane Trickster is the one I am most optimistic on making it into the “Player’s Handbook” of One D&D.
Mastermind
The archetype of spies and schemers, Masterminds are at the center of any heist. As any D&D player will tell you, heists are a central part of the game – whether it’s busting a friend out of prison, sneaking into a dragon’s lair to steal a priceless artifact, or breaking into the local lord’s mansion to retrieve some important documents. For every job the Thief undertakes, there is someone behind the scenes providing the blueprints and making the plans.
Mechanically, the Mastermind can fit into more of a support role, with the range of their Help ability increasing to 30 feet and their abilities to manipulate and misdirect. You could potentially merge some of the Inquisitive Rogue subclass features in with the Mastermind, as they both fit into the same flavor, albeit Inquisitive rogues are a little more about investigation instead of espionage.
Swashbuckler
One of my favorite movies of all time if The Princess Bride. And amongst the many fabulous moments within that film, one of the pinnacle moments is the sword fight scene on the top of the Cliffs of Insanity. The main character, Wesley, shows off exactly what a Swashbuckler is – finesse and flair in battle and an intelligent wit. There are many numerous examples across pop-culture: Zorro and Captain Jack Sparrow to name a few.
Mechanically, the Swashbuckler is a great way to play the rogue differently. Rather than being hidden in the shadows and snipping their enemies, they aren’t afraid to take their opponents head on. And with many of their abilities involving Charisma, Swashbucklers can often become the face of the party.

1. Are you named after anyone? Yes. My middle name is after my mothers uncle, who meant a lot to her growing up. But he died early
2. When was the last time you cried? Three months ago, I think.
3. Do you have kids? Not yet. Hopefully in the distant future
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Almost too much. My entire humor is based on sarcasm
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Physically, I first notice their hair. And personality wise it would be their intelligence.
6. What’s your eye color? Blue
7. Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings all day. Every day
8. Any special talents? I can wriggle my ears, but I'm not sure it counts.

10. What are your hobbies? Writing, fitness, padel-tennis, and watching football(soccer). But the last one is almost too painful to keep up atm.

Top Movies of 2022
Solid year for movies, particularly with ensemble casts.
10. It’s a three-way tie between three horror films: Smile, Barbarian, (pictured below,) and X.
2022 was a great year for the horror genre fan. Tons of great examples ranging from big budget, to micro budget, from a movie like Smile, which examines the anxieties of day-to-day life, to a classic “Don’t go in there!” movie like Barbarian, which also has a social commentary to make about the state of relationships between members of the opposite sex, or X, which on the surface is a sexy slasher, but in reality has a fair share of commentary as well, talking about society and individualism. All movies are subversive, offering up much more than meets the eye.
9. Ambulance
Never thought I’d see the day where a Michael Bay movie would top my list, but here we are. This is arguably the most understated Michael Bay films of all time, and considering it’s less-than-impressive box office, arguably the most underrated. That said, it has all of the flourishes that make Michael Bay films impressive, with flashy camerawork, and larger-than life explosions, and has a little bit of everything you’d want from a movie like this: it’s a heist film, it’s a car chase film, it’s a shoot out film, it’s a buddy comedy, it’s a drama about two brothers, and has more than the usual amount of emotional depth in a Michael Bay film, showcasing a star performance from Jake Gigglesandall.
8. Confess, Fletch
Jon Hamm, combining his effortless charm with a Chevy Chase sense of sarcasm, starring in a movie from the director of Superbad and Adventureland, that is an old fashioned sort of murder mystery comedy. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore, but I wish they would.
7. Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris
Another old fashioned movie that they really don’t make anymore: a feel good movie. Plain in simple. The movie takes place in the 1950s and feels like a movie from the ‘50s, about a lower class Englishwoman who saves up her money and goes on an adventure to Paris to go a buy a Christian Dior dress. It’s got hints of Cinderella, Sabrina, and a dash of Pretty Woman for good measure. Just delightful.
6. The Fablemans
Steven Spielberg making you feel all the feels. That’s all I feel I need to say about that.
5. The Menu
Rising star Anya Taylor-Joy is an outsider restaurant patron going toe-to-toe against Ralph Fiennes’ obsessed chef, in a social satire thriller taking place over the course of one epic dinner.
4. Glass Onion
Daniel Craig leading another great ensemble cast, (including Kate Hudson, honoring the legacy of all the bubbly characters her mom brought to life through the 70s, 80s, and 90s,) in a sequel whodunit that surpasses the original.
3. Scream
Another classic Scream movie with all the wit, suspenseful set pieces, and intelligence of the original. The O.G. cast is still great, particularly David Arquette, and the new ensemble is great is well. Props to Jenna Ortega who between this, X, and Wednesday, had a great year and became a new scream queen.
2. The Batman
It may not rise to the greatness of the Nolan trilogy and be a half hour too long, but after Zack Snyder’s tenure at the helm of the D.C. universe, this was a welcome addition to the Batman franchise. Battison was great, (though his take as Bruce Wayne is probably my least favorite, as was the rest of the cast, most notably Zoe Kravitz, who easily joins the esteemed company of great Catwomen, Michelle Pfeiffer and Anne Hathaway.
1. Top Gun: Maverick
Yep, I went with the obvious, mainstream answer. Don’t care. This is everything you want from a movie: you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be thrilled, Tom Cruise being a movie star, Jennifer Connelly being everything you want in a love interest, the young cast is great, the visuals, sound design, the younger ensemble cast lead by Miles Teller, the older supporting cast lead by Jon Hamm, the soundtrack...a great, mainstream American popcorn movie that was one of the few long-awaited sequels that was well worth the wait.

This is the trailer/presentation of my 360° VR movie and installation "QUESTIONING QATS - Ceci n'est pas un chat"
"Ceci n'est pas un chat" (This is not a cat) – with this contemporary parody of the well-known statement by surrealist painter René Magritte, Maria Korporal explores the identity of AI chatbots, playing with the changing meanings of the word "chat" in French and English. Is a chat a cat?
On a wooden laptop with chalkboards, an entertaining dialogue takes place through chalk animation, where the artist alternates between asking questions in French and English to lure a chatbot into giving an explanation of its identity. The conclusion: "An unreal cat in a virtual chat" is meaningful for the scene of the virtual reality film – a surreal 360° landscape with undefinable objects and structures, and some notably large cats, all in angular low-poly style. The artist generated this landscape using artificial intelligence and then intervened with human touches, ranging from analogue to digital.
In addition to the animated wooden laptop mentioned earlier, there is a rotating spherical head of a retro electric typewriter spreading characters across the ground, occasionally forming concepts. Numerous animated pastel drawings with signs and symbols are scattered like moving graffiti over the structures in the landscape. A rotating sphere – or is it a black hole? – reveals a whirlwind of characters and texts, sometimes experiencing a short circuit.
An important element is formed by the dialogues between the chat-cats, which appear as running text on a few walls. The artist opened two ChatGPT browser windows and copied the questions and answers from one chatbot to the other and vice versa. In this way, two chatbots talk with each other. The result is stunning: dialogues about favorite books, interests and wishes emerge without human intervention. This makes us wonder: Do chatbots really have an independent identity?
The virtual reality film "Questioning Qats - Ceci n'est pas un chat" can be experienced with any VR headset or on a computer screen with a mouse.
The film can be presented independently or as part of an installation, where the wooden laptop in material form is included. A code on the laptop can be scanned giving access to a 3D animated chat-cat in augmented reality.
The soundtrack of the work was composed with the electromagnetic emissions of routers, switches and fans in a server room, found in the public domain, interrupted by cat sounds generated by the artist on a small meowing synthesizer.
"Questioning Qats - Ceci n'est pas un chat" is part of the project "Qorporal Quests": a series of multimedia installations where Maria Korporal interrogates global digital development in times of war and climate change. Solutions are presented through the interplay of analogue and digital technology.

Great Meditation
I use this channel daily. They have the most peaceful meditations I have found anywhere. I always start my day off with meditation, it helps put me in a great mood and state of mind. One of the things I love about this channel is the variety of meditations they offer so I can have a different type of medication every day of the week. They feature, Chakra meditation ( I use these on Sundays to start my week), sleep meditation, 5 minute meditation ( for those really busy days), 10 minute meditation, 15 minute meditation, 20 minute meditation, guided mindfulness meditation ( another favorite), morning guided meditation, meditations for positive energy and more.

Not going to lie, the first time I ever saw the name Mufon was on an episode of The X-Files! Mufon is the largest civilian UFO investigation and research organization made up of all volunteers. Their channel offers insight into reports, case files, sightings, history, and documentaries. If you ever wanted to learn about UFOs this is a great place to start.
